Speaker 1 (00:01):
Or The Morning's Dirty on the thirty, Shannon with the
Dirty on the thirty, what's going as Shannery?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Well?
Speaker 3 (00:06):
Last night at the President Center in East Lansing, Pat
fist Gerald was officially introduced as the new head coach
for Spartan Football.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
What's a spartation.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
That sounds like a football coach, isn't they?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah? Like family and I are so honored to be Spartans.
We're so excited to be here tonight. You just made
the difference between the last two timeouts, right, isn't even
close enough. Let's blow the roof out.
Speaker 5 (00:32):
This thing here.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
There's some big time so fast. It's great to be here.
We're honored to be here. I want to thank all
of you for your support today. It's been incredible. Let's
get this thing rocket tonight and then we're gonna get
to work and let's get Spartan Stadium rock in this fall.
What do you guys say?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Gobe so humbled to have this new title. And Tom
Izzo says Fitzgerald is a good pay.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I think what you saw in the court during a timeout,
I told him Quiz scored up my house. We had
the place rocket and roll, and I couldn't hear in
that damn huddle, So I told his wife to shut
him up a little bit. But that's pretty cool too,
you know. He just he just is on a mission.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
By the way, Michigan State not only has a new
athletic director a new headed football coach, but also as
of yesterday, the university announced a one billion dollar fundraising
initiative called for Sparta And this is a plan for
pretty significant upgrades and renovations to all of the athletic
facilities across campus, including Spartan Stadium the Pricelin Center. So
(01:51):
it's going to be state of the art.
Speaker 6 (01:54):
Yeah, you've seen any of the renderings they show. I
was actually at the game.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Last night, Kevin. By the way, I heard you on
tele vision last night watching the energy.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
The energy was incredible. Going to the new hire at
football coach. There have been two times in my basketball
life where I've seen someone move the crowd in such
a way where you couldn't miss it. Dan Campbell when
he walked into Little Seasons Arena last year, he just
felt the entire stadium have every single eye on him.
Last night, mirror that watching this guy walk into the stadium,
(02:26):
it seemed like everyone knew he was there. All the
individuals who represent the Green and White screened his name
and cheer from and he seemed to prod.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
You know what is wild is that you know in
Spartan's by the way, you guys definitely need to do
some upgrade Spartan Stadium and their facilities, because it's tough
when you're competing in NIL. Not only do you got
to pay the players, but the players want to go
somewhere where they know they got great facilities. There is
a vibe on campus with Pat Fitzgerald that you got
a synergy now between the basketball and football programs, which
(02:57):
I don't know what it was like at all with
Nathan Smith if it was, but it was like this
with D'Antonio and Izzo and so this guy kind of
reminds me a little bit of D'Antonio in that gut regard.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Full House star and actually friend of the Mordeo in
the Morning Show, Dave.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Corsi Ury is literally my prayers are in a family's
prayers and all of our show prayers to the koli As.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, David, Melissa his wife is amazing too. But he
was on the Today Show yesterday and said that he
is now battling tongue cancer just months after he beat
non Hodgkins lymphoma.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I was shocked.
Speaker 7 (03:29):
I went in for a PET scan, just a routine
check up to see how am I progressing, how am
I healing up? And the pet scan revealed something in
my throat right at the base of my tongue. Turned
out it was P sixteen squamous carcinoma, totally unrelated, and
it was like, really.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
He's been very, very open about his cancer journey, and
he said doctors told him the cancer could have come
from having an HPV virus more than three decades ago.
He said, it's very treatable. There's a ninety percent cure rate.
He is going to start radio immediately though.
Speaker 7 (04:01):
Early detection is everything. It has now saved my life twice.
So talk to your doctors, get those colonoscopies, get those
breast exams, get those prostate exams. So that's really first
and foremost. You kind of have to stay ahead of it.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
And they got on at these the insurance companies got
to offer the MRIs to people because that's the only
way that you can get detected with a lot of these,
you know, the blood ven it is the blood tests
don't always show what you know you need to see.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
And man, Miley Cyrus is engaged to her boyfriend Max
Morando after four years of dating. That news broke after
the couple's red carpet appearance at the Avatar Fire and
Ash premiere. She was photographed with a gold band on
her ring finger. And yes it is, well we all
think that it is. She is getting married and Chapel Roan, Ry,
Carrie post Malone, and Charlie Pooth are among the forty
(04:48):
