special person who is the daughter of a even more
special person, Bianca in Lester, Are you there, Lester?

Are you there?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
High? Lester and mod Joe Lester.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Lester is Lester's my oldest friend I have in this
radio business. I've been working with Lester since I started here. Lester,
You've been here, I think longer than I've been here
working for this company.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
How many years?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
The last year, twenty big years.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
He's tried to leave twice and he always comes back.
He's tried to retire twice and he always comes back.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Lester you've met Lester at any of our promotions that
we've done. Lester is one of the sweetest, kindest, most
loving individuals I've ever.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Met in my life. And thank you, Joe.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Not that long ago, just a matter of a couple
of months ago, or maybe weeks, Lester had to sell
his own car because his daughter fell on some hard
times and Lester wanted to make sure that his grand
babies had somewhere that they could call home. And Lester,
(01:54):
this morning on the Mojo in the Morning Show, as
you are working our promotions team today to bring in
gifts to a family that is somebody that we love
to bless, you're going to be blessing your own daughter
on a wish this morning.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Thank you, Thank you putting much more joke.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
When did you realize that this wish today was for
your own family.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
When we just turned on the street.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
We did a good job. We did a good job
of keeping it a secret.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Huh were you thinking to yourself, Lester, Oh my god,
they live right by my family.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
But at a.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Point, so when you came up on Grads, I thought
she had to go straight down Grad And then dead
man is sitting over at the the Bicker Store, and
I'm like you dead man right there, Lester.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Can I tell you, buddy, you are so special? You
mean so much to all of us. You never say no,
you always say yes.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
You're always giving hugs, you always have a smile on
your face always.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
And then this time I know has been some of
the most stressful that you've ever had in your life,
isn't it?
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yes? It is, Yes, it's been very stressful.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Tell me about your your beautiful daughter.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
My daughter, Brenda is very beautiful. She tried everything, she
worked hard one thing, and she is really stressed out
right now because she don't know what she's gonna do for.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
A kid for Christmas. And I keep telling her it's
gonna be all right. As long as I got money
and Nold I'm working, they gonna get come for Christmas.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
And so I went to Lydia and went up. My
best friends wrote in to Lydia and I went to Lydia.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Actually, you know, I just need some help because he's
a very kid. She's a very good kid. He's been
good every since she was little, and she so he
got bad kids, but loans. I'm her daddy. She will
always get something from me and always I do somewhere.
But I love my child.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Yeah, and we love you, buddy, and we love it.
And our love for you is also our love for you,
your your children and your grandchildren. So this morning, guys,
we're gonna go up in less. I want you to
know this. Did you know that we got a ton
of letters about about your daughter? Like literally a ton

favorite grandchildren, although I know't a gonna call them favorites
because I know you got a Lester's got eight thousand grandchildren.
Speaker 4 (05:19):

sure we put it into a beautiful video of Leicester
finding out that we're doing this for his daughter was
one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Instant tears.
Speaker 8 (06:10):
All right, we're walking up through the door right now.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Hello, Braylen, Hi, beautiful, how are you?
Speaker 4 (07:00):
I'm good, Braylan.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
I want you to know that your daddy is one
of my favorite people in the entire world. I want
you to know that first and foremost. Here your dad
does so much work for us here. I'm the Mojo
on the Morning Show, and all of our teams here
at iHeart and you. You are blessed to have the
best dad in the world. You know that, though, don't you.
(07:22):
We received the letter. We received the letter about you
for our breaking and entering Christmas wish, and I want
you to hear this letter.
Speaker 7 (07:29):
Okay, okay, dear Mojo in the Morning. My name is
Ronnie Shared, and I'm writing on behalf of my dear friend.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Of more than twenty years.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
I've seen Braylan at her highest moment and during her
hardest days, and one thing that's never changed is her
love and dedication to her children. This past year has
been a struggle for her because of the increasing cost
of living. Braylan and her children were without a stable home,
(08:04):
moving from place to place, staying with family and hotels
anywhere she could so her kids would have a safe
place to rest. She was just finally able to secure
a space for her family and is doing everything she
can to keep that roof over their heads. However, She's
(08:26):
still in need of a few essentials to help make
their new place truly feel like home, a stove, refrigerator, couch, table,
and other basics that most of us take for granted.
Her kids don't act for much. They're grateful just to
have a place to call home. Any help, big or
(08:49):
small would make a huge difference and means the world
to her and her children. Thank you for considering this
special family who truly deserves a magical, memorable Christmas with appreciation.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
When neused to read, I'm loving the hugs that I'm
seeing from Lester to Braylin, and then the hugs that
have been from all the promo team that's out here
right now as we grant this wish for you, Brayling,
we're going to grant this Christmas wish and we're going
(09:25):
to make your Christmas.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Bride Yes great, good, so much, Braylen, you work so hard.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Lester tells us all the time how proud he is
of you.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Tru Mo Ben.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
A couple of weeks ago, Lester, He's the best, isn't he?
Speaker 8 (09:47):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
A couple of weeks ago, Lester came into the studio
after the show was over with and was sharing with
me the story about how he just wanted your kids
to have coats because you guys lost everything, and to me,
the idea as a dad that my kids didn't even
(10:09):
have coats would be the hardest thing ever. So I
want you to know that everything is getting taken care of.
We're going to do everything from make sure that your
kids have coats and clothes and make sure that your
kids have all the essentials for this beautiful home of yours.
But we want to make sure we can take care
of everything for you to be able to take care
(10:30):
of these kids, including everything that Ranisia was telling us.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
About to fill to make a house ahome, so a
dining table so you can all gather around and share
holiday dinners and make memories. And Kroger of course always
helping out with that, giving you a gift card for
hundreds of dollars. We've got everything for all the kids' rooms, bedding, decorations.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Got it covered TV. You saw that being brought in,
that covered and brailin in this moment.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
We understand how hard you work, how much of your
life you give up for your children. We're giving you
stuff as well because we got to take care of
mama that's taking care of everybody else. So we got
you a spa day. Shout out our guys, yours from
six Salon. We got your car there so you can
go get even more beautiful than you are right now
because we got to take care of a woman that
(11:24):
takes care of everybody else.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, hand in Stone. Thank you to those guys handing
stone helping us out this year.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Britant.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
We're going to make sure that you get gas cards
to be able to fuel up your tank, and we're
going to make sure that.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
School.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
I don't have a car.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Yeah, well you know what, don't worry.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
We're going to make sure that you got transportation so
that you got transportation to and from everywhere that you
need to go.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
You know what else we noticed was that you didn't
have a Christmas tree. So as of this morning, you
have a Christmas tree and you can see all of
our elves bringing in all the gifts for the kids
that are going to go around that Christmas tree.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
The games are overflowing right now. We can't even walk
in the house.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
It's all walk in the house is amazing.
Speaker 8 (12:15):
I thought my dad here to take the kids to school.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Can I tell you something about Lester? And you know
this already. You know Lester sold his car just to
be able to help you guys, and then had this
beautiful car that he loves so much. Lester, we got
to try to see what we can do to find
that car. I want to you know, I feel so
bad that you had to do that. I know, Lester,
you've been driving around the station engineering truck right. We're
(12:43):
going to make sure that we get you, guys some
help with that, and we're going to write you a
check to be able to help you with all your bills.
So that this doesn't just make it a great Christmas,
this makes it a brand new year for you, a
new year on your own, a new year with your
children that you don't have to sit there and stress
and worry. You can lay your head on your pillow
and say, I've done everything I can do for my family.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Thank you, Lester.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
How are you feeling, buddy?
Speaker 3 (13:16):
I feel good right now. More Joe, Thank you so much. Man,
no man, and I want to say words right now,
but thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
A very emotional moment talking about right now.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
I just want to say this about Lester.
Speaker 6 (13:33):
I know that if it was any one of us
in this position and not his daughter, he would have
sold his car for us too.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
You know, I know you're right, and that's so true.
Lester treats us like his own family.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah, he is my family.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
You guys something to do this morning.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I didn't know you right where you supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Work.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
You guys are so beautiful.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Right now.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
I could open up all those gifts, but first give
me a merry Christmas.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
I want to hear.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I wanted Leter to be by the way. Let me
tell you something, Hey, guys, Lester has been Santa Claus
for us before.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
I'm breaking and entering Christmas wishes.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Now we're being Santa Claus for you, Lester, and we're
doing this for you. All right, guys, we're gonna do
one really big Merry Christmas on three Okay, as loud
as you can, Okay, alright ready one?

Speaker 4 (15:05):

Speaker 1 (15:10):
You gotta get my Kleenex down in this studio here,
because I gotta be honest with you. I literally got
snot all over my quarters up right now? It looks
like I got Smegma or something on Megma. What's going Natalie?
What's going on? Hello? And Natalie? What's how I got
to actually put you up there?
Speaker 4 (15:28):

Speaker 4 (15:42):
I hit the wrong button. I'm sorry, Natalie. Hi, Natalie, Yes, Hi,
first time.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Long time.
Speaker 1 (15:52):

was crying.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
It's like so beautiful what you guys do.
Speaker 7 (15:57):
And I just want you to keep that Christmas hir

Speaker 1 (16:02):
And you know what, we do have more And if

of our favorite TV people last night, Jessica Dup, what

Speaker 4 (16:15):
And she said she needs you know who Jessica is.
Speaker 1 (16:18):

And she sent a beautiful family in for a wish
and we're gonna try to grant that one. We're gonna

Speaker 6 (16:51):
John Yeah? Hey, dude, I listen to you every morning.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Man.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
There's so many towns that want to call in a
comment on stuff. But I love what you do, man.
I you You've burnt so many tears in my eyes
because I deliver every day. I drive up to Detroit
every day and I listen to you guys, and dude,
what you're doing is so beautiful. Man, what you're doing
(17:21):
is so freaking beautiful. Man, for these people.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
I mean, I have nobody.
Speaker 6 (17:25):
I have nobody, and.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
I know what that's like. So but.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Exactly, Kevin just said it, Johnny, I was gonna say
that to you. You got us, buddy, Oh yeah, I
got you every morning, man, I got you every morning. Man.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
You make me cry a lot of times. Man, you
make me cry a lot of times.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
But listen, all right, Well to let you go.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
Hey, girls, you're beautiful. You're beautiful girl girls, and I
love it. I love it. Oh Joe Hannah, Oh Joe, Adam, Hey,
I don't what it's like to feel alone on being alone?
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Well, thank you, Johnny, I appreciate that. Why why should
anybody be alone? You two should be together, Johnny and Anna. Yeah,
come on down to the radio station and say what's up?
Thanks Johnny?
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Love me?
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Body, can I can I say something real quick? Oh?
We ended it purst of that song, that Ariana Grande song.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Oh my God, Santa tell me, it's like so beautiful.
I love it. Her voice is so amazing. So we
end it and then we go into deep voice. Guy
doing you know the w KQ I Detroit do what's
an next? Grand Rapids, Mischigan, WV cast Toledo. You know
that whole thing, And it says at the end of
the thing, real people, real lives, And honestly, I think
(18:57):
that we could also say real problems, because we all
have that, right, we all have.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
You know, nobody's when you know when you see.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Somebody whose life you look at and say, I want
their life, I guarantee you you don't. I guarantee you
their life's got something going on. And when Lester comes
in and does his work, and he does not do
the most glamorous work. Let me just say this to you.
He has to do the heavy lifting on things that
we all get to have. The glamor of that man
(19:28):
in that beautiful, fricking smile of his with those pearly whites.
It never is a time where I look at him
and see that he's down. And in the time the
twenty six years that I've been here, almost twenty six years,
I have never seen Lester in a time like he's
been the last couple of weeks, he's been helpless, like
(19:52):
he's literally felt helpless. And to see him this morning,
know that we were going to do this wish for him. First,
I think he's gonna kill us because he's probably embarrassed
that he was cheering up.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
But I also think that he knows we are family.
We truly are a family here.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
For that moment when he realized it was for Bralin,
I just.
Speaker 8 (20:13):
I've never heard him sound like that before. No, Like
I remember when I when I when I first joined
back then, I think it was clear channel. When I
used to intern for job in like seven o eight
and I used to do the morning show, I started
doing like double shift, so I would be in the morning,
then I would work promotions later in the night, and
we would do club events. Lester was the person that
(20:35):
was tasked with training me, and I have never seen
a person help as many people as Lester has helped
over the year and take as much care and time
to help each and every single individual as I've seen
this man take. I don't care how many questions he
had to answer. I don't care how many times he
had to look out for you and you was FFing
(20:56):
up and should have been fired, and he kind of
just took it on him, like Leicester has helped so
many people. It's one of the most selfless people in
the world. And every single like Mo just it's interesting
when you say, like everybody has problems, but like where
there's a problem, there's also an opportunity to help. And Lester,
for any problem that I've had in this work force,
Lester has always identified it as an opportunity to help.
(21:17):
So it's poetic justice is God's promise, an opportunity that
when Shannon mentioned how many times he's retired, now he's
back and now this is happening on his third go round,
Like it's meant to happen for Lester and his family,
and good things happen to good people.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Man. I love that guy so much. Amanda.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
Hi, So we've got this beautiful moment for this family
and everything happening, and then out of nowhere, mojo I got.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Not on my I'm sorry, White. I know people were
quarters now too. That's the news.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
Good zips are in that. That's them, Bloomfield boogers. He
got over there. I love you, Amanda, take care.
Speaker 7 (22:09):
Let me do
