Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it is Joe in the Morning Show. I
got so many holiday topics I want to talk about.
I really do think when we talk about like company
holiday parties and stuff like that, that there are some
holiday parties that you see people do things that will

(00:20):
cost them their careers. And you know, we were having that,
you know, discussion just a moment ago, talking about our
holiday party, and then we had that guy that called
up and said that he went to the holiday party
and was crazy and stuff. I want to throw a
couple of these out and see if this has ever happened.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I haven't done.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Anyone listening who in a while, Anyone listening who has
ever kissed or made out with a coworker that you
never have done this with at your company holiday party?
Want to listen to this as he's pouring himself a
drink randomly in the middle of this topic, listen to
this stat. One in six people have admitted to kissing

(00:59):
a coworker at their company holiday party. And I'm not
talking like the you know, kiss on a cheek type thing.
I'm talking about you're like full on making out.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
That's why Jamie O boobs in the back of her
seat after holiday part.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Oh my gosh, her boobs.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Okay, okay, don't mention any names anymore. The next one
here is is there anybody listening who has ever found
out that your coworker might have a drinking problem at
a holiday party, maybe they drank a little too much
or went too crazy. Anyone listening who ever had a

(01:40):
coworker openly flirt with them or admit to a crush
at a company party. And then I wanted to throw
this out there as just a random one is skipping
the party career suicide? Like do the bo Are there
any bosses that are listening that will admit to us
that not going to the party without a good reason.

(02:00):
I mean in cases of you have your other jobs,
like Kevin had his job last night and Lydia was
working on breaking and entering Christmas wish.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
You know. Yeah, that's tough, that's why you're not coming.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I get it. I totally understand that. But is there
anybody that's ever had like the person not go It
was weird. That was one of the weird parts about
our holiday party, where some people were actually just getting
off work that worked in the building.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Yeah, some of the sales people were still in here.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Working well the traffic department, so they do the traffic.
I saw the one of the reporters, the traffic reporters
leaving with her dinner box because she works the night shift,
and so she's and she's leaving and walking out the door,
like I don't I didn't see her, and I'm thinking
to myself, I'm like going, wow, that that kind of sucks.
You forget that people have to actually work. You know,

(02:46):
company parties are cordially required. They make it sound like
it's a it's a choice in the matter, but it's
absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I agree with you. Yeah, I feel.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Like bosses are like scanning the room and like identify
the who is it there, taking mental notes.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
If it's a big party, I feel like you could
get away with it because when I worked for Rocket,
like we had thousands of people at our party.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
They would never know.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
My brother Tony used to have these holiday parties. He
was a lawyer or is a lawyer, worked works at
a law firm, and they used to do out of
town holiday parties at in Cohler, Wisconsin. There was a
there's a resort there. I think it's called the Cooler
Club or something like that. It's named after the company
that makes toilet try stuff or toilet stuff. And they

(03:33):
would stay there overnight and no spouses were remember talking about.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
The idea for next year party plays right?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
My sister was not happy. That is weird that to me, says,
we're f Yeah, you're asking for me, Zach? Are you there, Zach? Yeah,
I'm here all right?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
So anyone listening who we're talking about the holiday party
and the shenanigans going on?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
What did you do at a holiday party?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Wasted?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
And I suck my coworkers told at the holiday party?
That's hard? Where like, where did you do that? It
was like an office room that you know, like the
copy storage room. So how did I like? I like
pretty feet? So so she had really pretty feet?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Was your excuse to why you actually were sucking on
your coworkers' toes?

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Did you ask her? Did she offerd?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
I did ask.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Did either of you bring a date to the party
or did you just show up single?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
We showed up single.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Got So did anybody in the office find that to
be kind of odd?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Or did they not know about it? Only the two
of you knew about it? One person found out and
they called me the toe. Hope she wasn't the only one. No, no,
not the only one. What kind of work did you
guys do? We're just office work, clerical work, data entry?
How many toes did you suck in this office?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
It was three different people.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
And if you had to rank them, no any nasty ones,
bad ones, No, no, all the toes are pretty like
I'm like a toe condo. Where did the holiday toes ring?
Is that like at the top of the list.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Or they were at the top top three?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
When when I mentioned this thing and brought it up,
Shannon sounded like she's actually made out with a co worker.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
With a co worker, I have never kissed a co
worker at a party, I don't think. But the one
of our holiday parties, somebody admitted that they had a
crush on me for this radio station.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
And it was no, it was an intern.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Of ours, a female intern of ours.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I said, I was flattered, and that's it. Have no toast,
no to involved. I was really flattered. Hold on, Zach, Scott,
sound with a Scott? Are you there?

Speaker 6 (05:55):
I am?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Can you hear me? Yes, Scott? What's going on? Oh?

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Well, I work in HR, so I avoid all work
parties like the plague really because why Well, I've been
to a couple one time one of my employees punched
a bartender, so we've had to let them go one time.

(06:21):
The next week I found out two coworkers were making
cookies together and both were married. Well, just think I
don't need to know about them as HR.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
What kind of work do you do?

Speaker 5 (06:36):
I work for a distribution company?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Hey, I got to ask you this question about HR stuff.
I know that the sucking your coworkers toes has got
to be an HR violation? What about the the female
that came up to Shannon and said I have a
crush on you? Is that against HR policies?

Speaker 5 (06:57):
I would say, as long as it wasn't persistent, then
it was the one time thing, then it would be okay.
But okay at first, I continued, would be.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I was not uncomfortable nor yeah, so yeah, So if
if you were uncomfortable with it is when it would
get to be a violation.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
What's up, Rachel?

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Hi?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (07:19):
We had our Christmas party last Saturday and our boss
bought Austriaks, and so I got drunk off rum and coke,
course light and started showing my coworkers' pictures of sex wings. Okay,
and I just started working there a couple of months ago.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Oh my god, guess who's the new favorite? How is
it when you.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Saw I was off Monday and I saw them this morning,
some of them, and they were like, oh.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Hey, oh geez. They didn't know.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
They were laughing.

Speaker 6 (07:50):
But I don't think they were laughing because it was funny.
I think they're like, ha, ha.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
What talking about.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Guess guess what they're thinking about you. They're thinking, they're
thinking this girl that was the quiet girl in the
office is no longer just a quiet girl in the office.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Well, it's a preschool.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
You're a dirty girl. Oh jeez, the pre school.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
How is it that a preschool's Christmas party gets wild
like that They now are doing sex swings and things.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I'm not mad at it, all right. Thank you for
the call, Rachel.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I appreciate it and working Kevin drop off Josiah exactly,
all right.
