Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, I got a question I want to ask
that you know it's about holiday gift giving, and ask
you guys etiquette on this one here, how do you
feel about people who give someone a Christmas gift that
they purchased on Facebook marketplace, as in a used thing

(00:22):
for Christmas, something that somebody else used.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
You got any examples of the type of gift.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I'll have them give examples in a second, because my
friend is on the phone right now, and my friend
does this, and his family all thinks that it's it's
very cheap of.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Him and very odd of him to do it.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Scott, Do they think that you're cheap or do they
think that you're just that it's wrong?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
What do they think?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
My god?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, you know I have to defend myself here a
little bit. Yes, I've become quite the Facebook marketplace er
guide both getting rid of things and buying things. In
some of the stuff I've plumb cross is absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Crazy, really like good stuff crazy or like weird stuff crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Both both. Honestly, there's a lot of stuff out there.
People buy things all the time and they have good intentions,
or they give them as a gift and they never
use them. Yeah, and they sit in their house, or
they sit in their closet, or they sit in their garage,
and then they try and sell things and they literally
will take whatever. I mean, a two hundred dollars item

(01:30):
you can get for thirty five forty dollars. I just
bought a brand new pair of Peloton shoes, so like
one hundred and thirty bucks at the Peloton store and
I got them for twenty five dollars in the box.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Bring how do you know their brand? Wait?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
How do you know they're brand new? And they weren't
on some guy's feet?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
You can tell you can tell me. Everything was not assembled.
It wasn't assembled. It was all, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, could you keep it really good? Yeah, because you
can't clean it up and on it assemble it. Come on, Scott, Scott,
who cares? So let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Scott's got Scott's got one of the greatest wives in
the world, and he's got the greatest kids in the world.
You're buying them gifts on Facebook Marketplace, You cheap son
of a bitch.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Listen, listen, they have everything they need. So I'm buying
some things that they'll talk about.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
And remember what what are some of the things that
you're you're thinking about buying for your family.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
All right, so listen, this is gonna sound weird, and
I've got a lot of feedback on this one. There's
a lady that makes homemade like bread and butter pickles.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Okay, I'm not doing.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
A lot.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
At some point, did you drive over to her house
and get it from her? Or where do you go?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Uh huh No? I met her at a gas station.
Got sickles.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
You bought six jars of pigles, butter biggles.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I love butter.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
You got butter biggles from a lady at a gas station.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Guess what you're getting from me.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I appreciate that. I love it. I get butter pickles.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
But here's the you would think that this man is
like poor, Like this guy you know is not a
poor man.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
This guy is God.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
No, but you can't sell Scott, I feel you. I
love buying and selling things from Facebook, not necessarily marketplace
per se, but we have like a neighborhood group and
I buy and sell things all the time, all the time.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
Fun It could work really well in situations like Smith
who wants a dirt bike. I'm assuming he's never ridden
a dirt bike before in his life, so you don't
want to spend all this money on a new one, right.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
But actually I have a five year old niece named Stella,
and the other day somebody had a pottery barn kid's
vanity set on there gently used and I was like,
oh my gosh. I I tried to get it, but
it was already it was already claimed, and I told
my sister. My sister's like, oh my god, that would
be perfect. I just bought her. I'm going to buy
her the one from the store which I just looked.
It's four hundred and seventy nine dollars. This person was

(04:00):
it for forty bucks.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Scott, do you ever know do you worried about going
in to people's homes to pick this stuff up or
having them come to your home and do that?

Speaker 3 (04:11):
You see me, I'm six six, Okay, no one's gonna
no one's gonna mess with me over a can of pickles?

Speaker 2 (04:19):
How big is the pickle lady?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I want to I want to see the indivisual in
my head watch out for a butter Not so, Shannon.
If Wes bought you a nice pair of airrings, but
he bought them from somebody that sold them on Facebook Marketplace?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Should he full disclose you that he got a mess?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
So he's bought Christmas gifts from Marketplace before. Really, I'm
like ski equipment and stuff, yep for the kids, for
the kids. And actually I think one of my gifts
from him this year is coming from Marketplace. No, because
we saw it. Yeah, we saw it on there and when.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I saw it, what's he getting you? What do you think?

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Now?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
I feel bad if I say this out loud and
he didn't get it for me. It is a vintage
radio sta.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
On air light.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Okay, and you saw We saw that, and I kind.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Of want that. That's an antique type thing. That's antique.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
It's from Marketplace.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
But I'm okay, that's that's for a couple of years
ago he.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Went to a lady's house and got ski boots for
from Marketplace.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Buy ski boots for your for your kids, your son,
because somebody's feet have already been in there.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You know you're not supposed to use u's shoes.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I buy you shoes on poshmark all it's Scott.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
You don't buy you shoes.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Do you? You and I need to connect and have a
talk about this. This is awesome because.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Wait, wait, Scott, would you buy your wife for your
anniversary a nice romantic outfit on Facebook marketplace and tell
her that you got her there?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
I would draw the line on that one, you would drive?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Okay? Good, I'm gonna make.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Sure you draw the line on that one. Okay, I
promise I'd have to draw the line.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Hold on a second.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Marcella's on the phone, Marcella, or you're not the lady
that sells buttered pickles, are you?

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Or? No? Definitely not.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
But I did want to tell Shannon, I saw that
necklace that you had on at Lucito's the other day,
and get it.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
It's nice, it's cute.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Oh my god, I wish I wish it's Yoursela.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
What would you do if a man in your life
bought you a nice romantic necklace but it came from
Facebook Marketplace and not Lucido Fine Jewelry.

Speaker 7 (06:22):
I wouldn't be mad because my first engagement ring came
from Facebook marketplace.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (06:28):
He bought it in April. We got engaged in April.
We got married in October of twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
But Marcella, that's another person's that's another person's bad omen
that's on your finger.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Did your marriage last? Yes, we've been married for five years.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Oh my gosh, I would be worried about what happens if,
first off, what happens if that relationship didn't last a year?
I'd be thinking of the whole year that we got married,
that it wasn't gonna last.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
Well, no, no, it's not, because we've been we've been
together for okay, we've been together for about eleven years now, Okay,
all right, and we.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
Got married, so we're good.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
We have five teeps.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
All right, Marcella, thank you for the call. Merry Christmas
to you. Hold on, Musa, what's up? Musa?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Though? Didn't we already talk to you today? Or are
you a new musa? Okay?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Wows Moosa is getting double duty today? What's going on?
I feel like I just bought him on Facebook? Marketplace?
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
See? Look?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Speaking of Marketplace, my entire badroom set and my living
room that came from Marketplace. Really, did you find out
what happened to the person that owned it before you?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
No, it wasn't no dead body or nothing like that.
What about like bed bugs?

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Yeah, the bedroom mattress.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah, the room set.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
No, he had the mattress cover and still wrapped in
the plastic and everything.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
The bedroom set was like basically brand new. The livery
room was. It was used, but no better. I disaffected
that thing so much. Man, leave too. I had disaffect
that wiped down and everything.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
Something happened on it.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, well that that sounds interesting.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
This is these are good reesa with uh h Scott Resa,

Speaker 5 (08:27):

Speaker 7 (08:36):
Literally every day?

Speaker 6 (08:38):

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I love it?

Speaker 1 (08:39):
I'm addicted.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
But do you buy them as gifts for people? Or
is it just for your songs?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Last last Christmas, I bought my son a gaming laptop.

Speaker 6 (08:49):

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Can I tell you the greatest text message? Two four

he rowed dogs in public. All right, Scott, I'll talk
to you later. I'm looking forward to whatever Christmas gift.

So my sister. She is an avid Facebook marketplace shopper,
which I mean I kind.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Of am too, but only for clothes.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
But that being beside the point.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
She bought a dresser, like a bedroom dresser, off the.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Facebook marketplace, went to pick it up.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
It was in a trailer park.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
She said, it was beautiful, everything was fine.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
She brought it home and put in her house, and
a week later, her entire apartment was.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
Invested with bad bugs.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
That's right, you're getting food poisoning from pickles.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
And I after I heard that story, I'm like, I
will never purchase any furniture off Facebook marketplace.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
