Speaker 4 (01:28):
This?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I mean you're looking at her.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
How do you think she is? She's got to be
like eighties? And you said to her, are you trying
to f me? Is what I had to dump out
of the thing. I can't believe you. I mean, that's
what happened.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I'm sitting at Buffalo Wao Wings.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Joe Sia had a shout out to Caden doctor Reynolds
from Renolds Orthodonics. His son had a birthday party, so
I dropped Joe Sie off. At the birthday party, Lions
were playing. I'm like, man, where's the bar around here?
So Buffalo WO Wings is down the street. I go
to Buffalo Wo Wings shout out Devin who waited on
Fantastic God Too for twenties banging. So I get my food,
get my drink, and here comes Kathy and her walker

(02:08):
and she got a jacket, all hair full of white
like afro, like Whitely.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
You can't miss her.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
So she comes up. She's like, excuse me, you heard her.
But she's like, she was like, do you believe in psychics?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I was like no.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
She's like, well, do you mind if I tell you anyway?
I was like sure, why not? Then that's what she
was like, you look like a model. I was like, Kathy,
I gotta record you again.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
What a horrible psychic. She thinks she looks like a model.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So I said, no, Cas, She's like, you could be
a model.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I swear, if you've never thought about this as a
career path, you should go and do it here.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You're handsome.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
So I thought it was like, Okay, this impersonation of
her is dead.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
She was going just lifting like so I'm going through it.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I'm listening to her nod in my head's head and
then I thought she was like serious, and then right
after where she was like, I don't normally do this,
but we had a recent death in the family and
I need to pay for the funerals. Any cash, so
I don't look like a model.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
He was just trying to hustle.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Butter me up.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
The hustler got hustle, tell me butter my biscuits, but
to wait. So so she was trying to do give
you a reading, like a full reading for some money.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I don't know if it was a full reading, because
that's all she had to say.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
That's about for she has psyche or a prostitute. What
you're looking for?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, because because I'm looking at this lady the whole
time and she's saying, I'm a psychic and you're good looking.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Okay, Wait, has nothing to do with me in a site.
You're going to be a model, and you're gonna remember
right back when did you give her anything at all?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I told her I don't have cash on me. I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Did I realize I was being a hustle like now
us and asked me there might be a different story.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
So can I tell you what's going on nowadays? Nowadays
I get the I don't have cash on anything, and
they'll pull out. I mean, they're getting really good at this.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
I gave a goy twenty dollars earlier that day, so
that was mine for the day and I made it.
Some people step at the dollar store, shots a dollar
store and water for a second.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Hold on the whole gang, Let's talk about your good
will that you did. You give a guy twenty dollars
for what.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I don't know. I go to MotorCity Church. It's like
right in front of a right across the street from
American Cony Island. And I saw a guy last week
and I don't carry cash on me, so he asked
me for so I was like, man, I don't have cash,
and I felt bad. So I'm again this Sunday and
I had a twenty on me. I was like, bru,
I remember you asked me dapt them up game the twenty,
you know.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
And he didn't even have to tell you how much
you look.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
It just be you and then the other person you
just bought their their things.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I was in a dollar store, and you know, when
you feel good, let the spirit lead you.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
You know.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I don't do it all the times, but when I
feel like God is telling me to do something, I
do my best to follow through. And it was a
lady in front of me. She had a couple of
things I was like, you man, if I pay for those.
She was so excited. Then I saw the lady behind me.
I was like, I'm real good, Like who else want
to get in it? So I got that lady pay
for her stuff and it was it was a good time.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I will tell you that I've done that before. Where
you go and you pay for somebody stuff. Sometimes people
don't like it. They don't They don't always ask I said,
would you mind? Is it okay? If? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Sometimes I did it one time and a lady didn't
like it, like she was like she made I guess
she thought that I looked at her as somebody that
didn't have enough. That was like my interpretation of her reaction.
She was kind of like, why would you do something
like that?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Which if she knows you, she will realize that you're
just trying to get a piece of ass.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I mean depending on.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
No.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
No, no, that's a lot of ass.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Actually, Kevin is Kevin is one of the kindest, most
generous guys.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I know.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
This is the week too, like where somebody comes up
to you. It's like Thanksgiving week. You can't like I
I feel like if if the if there if being
out there asking for money was like the stock market.
This is the week the markets that die is My
guy is doing it right across the street Church. Yeah,
can you imagine?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
That's smart? They're smart.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
There are the best is the people that stand out
either in front of like a bar, you know, because
you're going in there and go do some bad stuff,
or like a game. I always see the guys out there,
Like I used to love the eat him Up Tigers guy.
You know, he was such a That guy was the best.
And you had that was one of those guys. I

(06:27):
would give him money, you know, like I because he
at least had.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
A thing going, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
What do you think of the guys like the there's
the I've noticed that some of the guys that that
are there, they got like a boombox or whatever their
music there and they're out there and they're doing their
whole little dance routine and everybody comes around. And I
see this a lot when I go to Chicago and
visit Chicago. They'll be on Michigan Avenue and they're they're
they're they're doing their thing. This one guy does is
like Chris Brown, like dance into like Chris Brown songs

(06:55):
and he's all silver.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
And he's like a statue for a second, and then.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
It comes to life and people will stand up close
and they'll be enjoying the whole thing, and then they
just walk away and the guy looks so defeated. Well
think about the guy that we also when we were
in Chicago for the Hall of Fame ceremony with the
Magic Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
At some performers in Eastern Market every Saturday, and now
they have signs out front that says no videos unless
you tip us. Yeah, because I just get I was
one of them, Like I would be like, oh, this
is such a cool vibe. Let me get a video
of it real quickly.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
What are they going to do chase after you?

Speaker 5 (07:27):
I don't know, but I didn't take a video.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
But I feel like if you're videoing them, if you're
getting content for your social media, you got to give
it a couple of bus or at the very least,
the guy should have a sign where people who see
it on social media, Like, if you're smart, you have
a sign that says your name, or some see me
on there, you got to you gotta pay it.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
I feel like that's the risk you run though, if
you outside perform me, and you're doing it for people
who are walking by, or you know, hopefully you can
see a music exec or somebody finds you on some
sharing type of thing, but you run a risk of
people just looking at you and listening and going about
their day.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
We've been and when the kids were little, we'd go
to Chicago and I would say, guys, you guys can't
sit there and watch. And then we'd be like, no, no, no,
I go, you can't sit there and watch. And the
reason why I was one time we sat there and
watched and I didn't pay, and Chelsea was giving me
crap the rest of the day. Like the guy who's
performed for your kids, he basically kept your kids quiet
for twenty at least give him something.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
What's up, Cindy, how you doing so a long time ago,
it's been, you know, since the early nineties. I grew
up in Chicago and my mom's old friend, her husband.
He had his legs cut off so he was in
a wheelchairs, but it was cut off from like diabetes complications,
but he used to always lie. He would put a
big sign on the back of his wheelchair that said

(08:40):
World War two VET please help. He really didn't need
the money, but he was. He was terrible. He was
a hustler, like so bad, and so he was paying
my mom like one hundred and fifty dollars to take
him downtown.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Why do you say no to that? The guys got
his everybody no, but he did.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
It was crazy. My mom used to drive him then
she just dropped them off, pay like one hundred and
fifty bucks to drop her off.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
He would pay your mom money to be his his
uber there. Huh, you have to drop him down there.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
But on a good day, like he come home with
sixteen hundred dollars after.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Like a yeah, my rent, you know what you guess
who's cutting their legs off? Shon's like Shannon's like, God's
going to get him. Guess what I got already got him.
He's set it out on a street corner doing.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
That so well he's already gone and passed now. But
he was like seventy and he used to put that
sign out there at every game. He'd come home with
a thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Ask him if he would like to sell radio advertising
for iHeart, Well, we'll hire him in a second,
