Did a great job at jingle Ball. Is he the
eight four to four Mojo Live ninety fifth Collar has
a chance to win.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
All right, Channon with the Dirty on the thirty. What
is trending in this hour show?
Speaker 3 (00:49):
I mean trending since Saturday when the US hit Venezuela
with that large scale strike. This morning, Venezuelan president Nicholas
Maduro and his wife will be tried on drug and
weapons charges. They will be appearing in a New York courtroom.
Here's more from ABC World News Today tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
The world reacting to America's stunning operation in Venezuela. A
number of people were killed in the US strikes that
accompanied Maduro's capture this apartment building right next to a
military complex, Although the government won't confirm the number of
dead Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
The defense ministers.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Still defiant, saying today it was against Venezuela. Tomorrow it
could be against any state or any country. But after
the celebration in the streets at the fall of an autocrat,
millions wonder what now this is cooked up on the
Colombian side of the border, and that there is Venezuela.
And in normal times tens of thousands of Venezuelan's crossed
(01:46):
this border to buy goods here that they can't get
back home. Now though, it's a path, perhaps to a
new future for the millions of people who've been forced
into exile from what as I said, we meet nervous
faces like Luis and his mother.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
Get the sense of people don't really know how to
feel happy that Maduro is gone, but they have no
idea what's going to happen next.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
We meet Saul did when I heard the news about Maduro,
I started crying with joy.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
She says, I have family in exile. Maybe they can
come home.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
She shows us her groceries cheaper here than in Venezuela.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Soul is hoping that in the future she won't have
to come to Columbia to get her shopping. And it's
a busy night tonight, Lindsay on the bridge to Venezuela
happiness the overwhelming emotion we encountered about the end of Maduro.
But for many of Venezuela's neighbors, they are still officially
condemning the operation. Big questions about what will happen next.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I know lots of cities across the US, including Detroit,
have protests happening, were happening all weekend and again today
demanding hands off Venezuela. I saw lots of lots of
videos and photos from the Detroit protest.
Speaker 6 (02:54):
This confuses me a little bit, because how do we
try somebody in the United States for crimes like they
are from Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Don't we have different laws what like?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Because the crime that they're saying is that the crime
was on Americans.
Speaker 7 (03:08):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Was actually kind of shocked by this because of obviously,
you know, if the people that if you don't like
Donald Trump, you don't like Donald Trump, but one of
the people who hates Donald Trump just came out last
night in.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Support of him.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
And that was that the view, Well the views Anna Navarro,
why did Nicki Minaj come out? No, Nicki Minaj is
that was a totally different one.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Wasn't or she come out she's like Trump supporter.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Well, the Anna Navarro thing was interesting because she's on
the View and every day she's going uh and upset
with Trump over you know, what's what's going on.
Speaker 8 (03:47):
But is out he is a son of a bitch.
I hope this sends a message to the other sons
of bitches in the region. You may disagree with the
way Trump did it, but it's so there was no
way that there was going to end any other way
because once he started bombing the boats and we've bombed
(04:09):
boats and alleged drug boats and killed over one hundred
and fifteen people. I think Trump thought getting rid of
Maduro was going to be easy and my door was
going to scare easily. He didn't. It took him doing this,
So yeah, he did it without congressional authorization. This was
an act of war, all of these things, but it's
now done. I think it doesn't escalate from here because
(04:34):
the objective of this was to get Maduro out.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
So you know what's interesting is my dad is Cuban.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
He died wanting us to do exactly what they did
to Maduro to Castro back in the day. I mean,
he wanted Castro out because he never got a chance
to go back to his family. I did not realize
the extent of Venezuela's you know, issues, because I only
followed what my dad would tell me about the Cubans,
and it is in because you never think how bad
(05:03):
a place can be. But then when you look at
they said six million Venezuelans literally left the country because
it was either leave or be killed. Well, I guess
the guy is not a great guy. So I don't know.
I don't know where to stand on this. I don't
know if we should have done what we did, you know,
by going in there and getting rid of them, But
(05:25):
I hope we'd do it better than we did Iraq,
because I got to be honest with you, they went
in Iraq, they did that, and they you know, they
screwed up that country though for a while, and I
know a lot of my Chaldean friends agree with me
on that you know they made They made it worse
for a while there, So let's see what they do
with Venezuela.
Speaker 7 (05:44):
Switching gears a big time here.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
BTS announcing they will be releasing a new album featuring
all seven members on March twentieth, and making it the
first full group come back in nearly four years now.
If you're not a BTS fan, if you're not part
of the army, you don't know this. But they'd on
hiatus while some of its members completed South Korea's mandatory
military service, so all seven guys have now been discharged,
(06:08):
so they are back to making music. They're also set
to launch a world tour following this album's release in March,
with some details to be announced in the next couple
of weeks. Evangeline Lily, best known for her role as
an ant Man and I think her Lost was Lost
as probably her biggest role, announced that she has suffered
brain damage after a serious head injury. This is a
(06:28):
crazy story. She was on vacation back in May and Hawaii.
She fainted and fell headfirst into a boulder when she did,
causing a concussion and all sorts of facial injuries as well.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
The results came back from the scans and almost every
area in my brain is functioning at a decreased capacity,
So I do have brain damage from the CBI.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
She said.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
She's now working with doctors to understand and treat the
day image and the whole experience has really just forced her.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
To slow down.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
