Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Mojo and the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
It is so hot today that they're saying the real
field temperatures are going to be in the hundreds. And
here's the interesting thing. There's now a couple of school
districts in our Detroit area, DPD again, and Wyandotte schools
now that are letting the kids out like three hours
early because of the heat. They say that the Wyandotte
(00:48):
school district, they try to cool down the buildings by
opening up all the windows at night.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
That doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
And they said that it didn't cool down last night.
So it's going to be really hot today.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
There are actually a lot of them. A lot of
the schools don't have air conditioning. And there's more than
just those two. So definitely like double check before you
send your kid to school today.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Opening the windows at night only works if it's cool.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
If it's 79, 85 degrees at night.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
The humidity is a thousand percent.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
All right. Here's my question. I want to ask it.
Are there any people listening that don't believe the kids
should have a half a day? Because maybe you work
out in the heat or maybe you live in a
house like grandmother who doesn't turn the air conditioning on, right? No,
she could.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
These are little kids. They're going to be passing out.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Get her out of there today. Put her in your apartment.
I'm going to bring her to your house. Make her.
She can come to my house. I was going to
say your place is a very nice place, too. The
only problem is you can't have her sit on a
couple of spots in your place. There might be a
couple of spots in your place. All right. Real quick.
I want to play this news report because I thought
this was actually kind of relatively funny. So they had
(01:57):
the guy from one of the TV stations, the local
TV stations, go out to ask the parents in Detroit
about their schools closing down. And one dad in particular
kind of caught my ear. I'm Jeffrey Lindblom in Detroit.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
For those who attend Detroit Public Schools Community District, it's
back to school week for many. And already heat is
playing a role in early dismissal, as many of the
school buildings are yet to receive full or partial air conditioning.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Is this guy, by the way, this reporter, is he like...
12 or whatever. They don't know. Carlison said that school's
getting out early today.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
We don't want nobody passing us out.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
We're going to do a half a day.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
I kind of was anticipating us getting another hot day.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
Shayla Barber's niece attends DPSCD's Bagley Elementary and is among
those being let out early because of the heat and
the building's lack of A.C.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
Thank God that I have some availability today to come
pick her up.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
Coming from a DPS school growing up, I ain't nothing.
To me, it's about the same thing. Like I said,
a lot of these buildings are old.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Cortez Grant and Barber both went to DPSCD schools themselves
and understand through experience how hot it can get for students.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
They're not going through nothing different than what I went
through when I was his age.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
By the way, I love Cortez. What do you say
his name is? Cortez Grant. They didn't go through anything
different than I went through. And you know what? I
went to school. Right, Cortez?
Speaker 7 (03:21):
What it feels like to be in a school with
no air. It's very difficult to learn.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Older buildings, older schools are going to have its problems,
its issues.
Speaker 8 (03:28):
It continues to be a major challenge for us, considering
our buildings are on average about 80 years old.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
DPSCD Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vidi says a 2018 study informed
them that they'd need $ 2. 1 billion to bring all of
DPSCD's buildings back up to speed.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Isn't that crazy? We can fix roads all over town. Like,
we can sit there and do all the crap that
we do on these highways. But we can't just build
a bunch of new schools for... Did you hear how much?
Speaker 9 (03:55):
2.8 billion?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
That's just for the air conditioning.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
They say a portion of the Michigan lottery go to schools.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Ding, ding, ding.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
That's what I was going to say.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Where is it? Here's the deal. At some point, did
somebody not realize they talk about global warming all the time?
Why didn't they put air conditioning in these schools a
while back? Cortez went to school there. He went to
the same school. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. David, what's happening?
Speaker 11 (04:28):
Nothing much.
Speaker 9 (04:29):
Good morning, everybody.
Speaker 12 (04:30):
Morning.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
What's happening, David?
Speaker 13 (04:32):
No, so my old high school was Wayne Memorial, right?
It's a three-story building, and in the wintertime, because heat rises,
the third floor would all constantly and always be like 80,
90 degrees.
Speaker 12 (04:50):
Wow.
Speaker 14 (04:50):
So I could wear a shirt.
Speaker 13 (04:51):
Shorts and tank tops.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
In the winter?
Speaker 13 (04:54):
All winter long on the third floor.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Quick question for you, David. Could you go to class
in this time of the year, like the beginning of
the year, when it's hot like hell like this? Or
did they move the classes from the third floor down?
Speaker 15 (05:07):
Oh, no.
Speaker 13 (05:09):
Every classroom was used, and they said pretty much deal
with it.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
What do you think of the kids getting out early
today for this because of the heat?
Speaker 12 (05:18):
Oh, it's easy.
Speaker 16 (05:19):
Now, I went.
Speaker 13 (05:21):
I wish we got let out early.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I don't think that ever happened. I think that we
didn't go to school if it was a snow and
the buses couldn't go. But I think that was about it, right?
Speaker 13 (05:34):
Yeah, or we got let out because there was a
leak on the third floor and they had to bring in.
Speaker 14 (05:41):
A crane to fix it.
Speaker 17 (05:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
You know what? When I was going to school, I
walked both ways uphill. By the way, we had a
one-room schoolhouse. I just want you to know that's how
I went to school. What's going on, Beth? How you doing?
Speaker 18 (05:54):
Hi, I'm Beth.
Speaker 19 (05:55):
I'm a teacher at DPSCD. I'm one of the public
school teachers. Nobody's asking the teachers what's going on.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
What do you mean?
Speaker 19 (06:01):
We're packing 20 kids in these rooms. And we don't
have air conditioning. It's about 100 degrees in these rooms.
We're packing these smelly.
Speaker 14 (06:11):
Kids, too.
Speaker 20 (06:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (06:13):
And ourselves.
Speaker 19 (06:15):
My school doesn't get out till 1 o'clock.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
Today?
Speaker 19 (06:19):
Three-hour dismissal doesn't do us much.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Oh, it's going to be. I mean, they say by
like 11, 1130 is when it's going to be just miserable.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Beth, how smelly do the kids get on a day
like today? Oh, you have no idea.
Speaker 19 (06:35):
The smells with the ax and the body sprays and
the perfume.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah. At least though they're doing that.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
All mixed together though.
Speaker 21 (06:44):
All mixed together.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
I almost would rather have that though than kids smelling like,
you know, like booty or something.
Speaker 12 (06:51):
You know?
Speaker 21 (06:52):
You know, I don't know.
Speaker 19 (06:53):
I would, I put it out there. I dare any
parent to come after 1130 to any of these schools
that we're all sitting in here roasting.
Speaker 22 (07:03):
That you're saying it's okay.
Speaker 11 (07:05):
They're just kids.
Speaker 19 (07:07):
Well, they can't learn when it's a hundred degrees. I
dare anybody to come and sit there.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Do you bring a fan from home ever? Do you like,
you ever have like something like that or can you
bring a window air conditioning? Will they, will they let
you put a window air conditioner in? I think, Hey, wait, Lydia,
don't we have one? Do we have one or did
you return it?
Speaker 23 (07:24):
No, I still have one. It's my trunk.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Is there any school that's not doing it? Maybe we
give a school that's not doing it one of these.
We have a portable AC unit. I don't know if
they would let you have it.
Speaker 19 (07:35):
Probably not, but our windows are 100 years old.
Speaker 21 (07:38):
They open like slant open.
Speaker 19 (07:40):
The window air conditioner.
Speaker 21 (07:42):
Would never get in.
Speaker 19 (07:43):
And GPS isn't giving us fans.
Speaker 10 (07:45):
They haven't given us any fans.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
That's horrible. What a bad situation there. I still can't
believe it that the same school that you know, we
went to is still there or our grandparents went there.
Cause it's been, some of them are 80 year old schools.
They don't, they didn't put air.
Speaker 10 (08:04):
Conditioning in all these years, you know, the money's there.
I don't know what they're using it for, but the
lottery money. What about the weed money? Not even just
the lottery, just the school aid fund.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Just that period.
Speaker 12 (08:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Somebody's getting it. What's going on, Rachel?
Speaker 24 (08:19):
Hi.
Speaker 22 (08:20):
Good morning, guys.
Speaker 21 (08:22):
I went to a private school.
Speaker 22 (08:23):
I'm a Gen Xer.
Speaker 9 (08:24):
We never got cold days, let alone hot days.
Speaker 19 (08:28):
I mean, we had those old crank windows as well.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
That school is still there.
Speaker 21 (08:32):
It's no longer a private school. It's a charter school.
I'm pretty confident they have AC now, but we never.
Speaker 9 (08:38):
Got hot days, let.
Speaker 25 (08:39):
Alone cold days.
Speaker 26 (08:40):
I don't think we ever got snow days.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Rachel, I was in Catholic school, and they had a
radiator that I was guaranteed somebody lived in. Like, you
know what I mean? Like, it was one of those
big old, like, things. And it would make noises, and
it sounded like a man, like an old man that
was living inside of this thing.
Speaker 27 (08:57):
Do you remember the girls putting on sweatpants underneath their skirts?
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Because it was cold.
Speaker 12 (09:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Oh, absolutely.
Speaker 21 (09:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (09:05):
Yeah, bundle up, girls.
Speaker 14 (09:06):
Come on.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
You're going to school. By the way, I used to
have titty sweat from when I was a kid.
Speaker 12 (09:11):
Oh, no.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
It was awful, and people would make fun of me.
One guy said, you got Mickey Mouse on your shirt.
Speaker 10 (09:18):
That ain't Mickey Mouse.
Speaker 9 (09:20):
It was horrible.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
I hope you have a great morning.
Speaker 12 (09:24):
You too.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Take care. Thank you. Be safe.
Speaker 18 (09:30):
It's Mojo in the Mornings, back in the day.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Let's go.
Speaker 18 (09:33):
Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
All right, we're going to give you a chance to
win tickets to see. Ready for this? Teddy Swimms. Let's
see what the clues are today. This was the year
that newlyweds, you know, the show with Nick Lachey and
Jessica Simpson was on.
Speaker 23 (09:53):
Is this chicken what I have or is this fish?
I know it's tuna. but it says chicken by the sea.
Speaker 12 (10:06):
So stupid.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
The Detroit Shock, our WNBA team at the time, won
the championship after having the worst record the previous year.
I forgot about that. Bill Lambert was the coach. And
Rick Mahorn was the assistant. And then they took our
(10:27):
team away. But it's coming back. And the big song.
Who is this? Lumity.
Speaker 12 (10:35):
Lumity.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
You're smart. Prove it.
Speaker 28 (10:39):
You remember the year that stuff happened?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
844-MOJO-LIVE. Jordan, we got to get you a prize. What
year was that? That was 2003.
Speaker 11 (10:48):
Let's go, Jordan.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I didn't turn my machine on. Hold on. My machines
were off. Yeah, my little sound machines. I know. Usually
I have that thing on all the time. I think
I was resting them overnight. Resting them overnight. You're a winner. Congratulations.
We're going to set you up with tickets to go
see Teddy Swims. He is playing at Little Caesars Arena.
(11:11):
Have a fantastic time.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
Thank you, guys.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Appreciate you. There you go. It's back. They're on now.
Speaker 12 (11:20):
All right.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
We're going to give you a chance to win $ 5, 000,
your share of $ 20, 000. It's Mojo's Secret Sound from DFCU Financial,
the cashback credit union. For $ 5, 000, what's Mojo's Secret Sound?
That's it. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Your chance to guess and win
(11:50):
right now. Good luck.
Speaker 18 (11:52):
Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. Good morning.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Good morning. Just days after Dolly Parton's death, her Hollywood
Walk of Fame star was vandalized. This made me so
sad when I heard this, but Let me explain what happened.
So lots of Dolly fans, as you can imagine, have
been paying visit to her star, leaving flowers and candles
and cards and all sorts of other tributes. Well, on Monday,
(12:18):
fans noticed that there were deep scratches across Dolly's name.
A custodian said that somebody apparently came to pay tribute,
kicked over a candle and then used pieces of broken
glass to kind of try to like scrape the wax
off the star to get it up. So it doesn't
(12:38):
sound like it was intentional to me. But still, the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce says repairs are already underway. The
star has to now cure following the repairs and it
will be all polished by Friday for fans to visit again.
She got that star back in 1984. By the way,
some trivia for you. This terrifying scene in the middle
(12:59):
of Times Square on Monday. Two complete strangers stabbed with
kitchen knives in broad daylight. One of them tragically killed.
Police say 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros suddenly pulled out the knives
and attacked a 68-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. And
now we're learning more about the woman who was killed.
She is Erin Piacenti, a Bank of America vice president.
(13:24):
A new mom who had just gone back to work
after being on maternity leave for five months. Just so
sad to see her social media.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Do they believe that she was targeted or it was
just random? Because after that UnitedHealthcare.
Speaker 12 (13:38):
Guy, you wonder.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
That was my first thought. So far, everything I've read
or heard makes me think that it was random. But
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
That's awful.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
It's just so sad.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
It's so sad, man. It was scary, too. You know,
it's funny as they were talking about that incident taking place.
That is the busiest, most populated tourist spot in the
world right there. Bigger than going to see the Eiffel
Tower in Paris or I don't know where else would
(14:10):
be places. But they say right there at that place
in Times Square is there are more people there at
all times of the day than anywhere else. It's crazy
to know somebody is just running around with a knife.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Seven years after that whole college admissions scandal, lookie look
who's back on social media, Fuller House actress Lori Loughlin, a.k.a.
Aunt Becky.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Wake up, San Francisco.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
If you watched Full House, you get this. This is
how she announced her return.
Speaker 29 (14:42):
Hi, I'm Rebecca Donaldson, and I'm welcoming myself back to
the show.
Speaker 23 (14:45):
Welcome back, Becky.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Why, thank you, Becky. And lastly, Zendaya's... By the way.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
My friends Dennis and Leah, they know that Massimo, whatever
the heck it is, like they were her ex-husband. I
was going to say, I think they got divorced. And
knows Dennis has played golf with him and stuff. And
they were telling me some stories in Vegas about that
whole family situation. It's wild because it's interesting, you know,
(15:11):
when you live in L.A., you could be living by
some of these people. But when all that stuff was
going on, they were, along with all those other parents,
completely shunned by a lot of the people that were normal.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Friends of them. And lastly, Zendaya's mom says her actress
daughter no longer on social media. Mom posted on Instagram,
happy 30th birthday to the love and light of my life.
Even though you're not on socials anymore. And you won't
see this. We just got off FaceTime. I don't know
why she would post that. But Zendaya's account has 177
million followers. It's still active. However, I checked it this morning.
(15:47):
She hasn't posted anything since July 8th when she was
promoting Dune Part 3. So maybe she's just taking a
little break.
Speaker 12 (15:53):
But yeah. All right.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
If you miss anything from today, catch up on the
podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Ready to give away some money, guys?
Speaker 17 (15:59):
Celebrity Dirt.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Directly from the source.
Speaker 18 (16:02):
It's Mojo in the morning. Dirty on the 30s.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
It is time for Mojo's Secret Sound. I'm auditioning, by
the way, for the host of the, or the new
voice of the Wheel of Fortune. I'm trying to see
if Ryan.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Oh my God, I have that story next hour.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
The Wheel of Fortune announcer fired from the show. It's
Mojo's Secret Sound. Here's Ryan Seacrest. I could do that.
What do you think? I told Kevin that would be
my dream job. You want Mason's gig? I want that
dude's job, Wheel of Fortune guy.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I thought you wanted to be the Price is Right
guy with the sparkly jacket, the Rod Roddy.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
I could do that, too. Come on down. Hold on.
Bailey's on with us.
Speaker 18 (16:47):
Hi, Bailey.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Bailey, where are you from?
Speaker 26 (16:50):
Hi, I'm from Marlette.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Bailey from Marlette. I don't know where Marlette is. Where
is Marlette?
Speaker 30 (16:57):
In the middle of nowhere.
Speaker 31 (16:58):
It's like an hour from Lapeer.
Speaker 9 (17:00):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Okay. Well, there you go. Thank you. Bailey, I know Lapeer.
We're giving you a chance to win some money. Are
you ready? Could you use it? Yes, I.
Speaker 11 (17:10):
Could definitely use it.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Lydia said that you want to pay some bills off.
What's your biggest bill you have right now?
Speaker 31 (17:19):
Credit cards.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Stop it. We got to get those cards paid off.
$ 5, 000 could be yours. Bailey, this is all brought to
you by DFCU Financial, the cashback credit union. Since you're
using those cards... you should get a DFCU account and
make sure that money's making money for you. I don't know.
Do you get cash back on any of those credit cards?
(17:42):
Cause they give you cash back.
Speaker 21 (17:45):
Yeah, not a lot.
Speaker 12 (17:45):
So that would help out. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
They give you cash back, not only on the money
that you borrow from them, but are the money that
you put in their accounts, but the money you borrow
from them too, which is cool. All right, here we go.
Mojo secret sound for $.
Speaker 32 (17:58):
5, 000.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
What is this sound?
Speaker 26 (18:06):
Is it like the paper hole puncher?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
The paper hole puncher.
Speaker 29 (18:13):
Yeah, it has like the three holes and then you
push it down and it puts the holes in the paper.
Speaker 17 (18:20):
I'm drunk on one.
Speaker 9 (18:22):
It is not.
Speaker 32 (18:23):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Kevin shook his head no right from the start. I
had to, like, picture it a little bit. I mean,
I knew it wasn't the right answer because I know
what the answer is. You do. But I do know.
Speaker 21 (18:34):
I know.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
I couldn't think of the.
Speaker 14 (18:35):
Word for it.
Speaker 33 (18:35):
I drew a blank.
Speaker 30 (18:36):
I'm so nervous right now.
Speaker 10 (18:37):
The three-pronged hole puncher.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
The three, yeah. Usually, it's like a.
This thing sounds a little bit more... I feel like
I got it. Interesting. Okay. Off the air, if you
want to tell me, I'll tell you if you're cold.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
I feel like I like my guess, too.
Speaker 12 (18:51):
Um.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
I am not telling anybody what it is. I've seen
what it is because, you know, we video all of
these so that people have the proof that that is
what the sound is. And interesting, when I saw it,
I'm like, that is a great idea for a sound. Bailey,
you don't win, but you can play again next hour, okay?
Speaker 30 (19:13):
And then can I give a shout-out?
Speaker 27 (19:14):
Can my son say hi?
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Absolutely.
Speaker 31 (19:16):
We're on our way to school.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
What's his name? Hey, buddy. What's your name?
Speaker 10 (19:21):
That's Jackson.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Jackson?
Speaker 35 (19:23):
Hey, Jackson.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
What's happening, buddy? Where do you go to school?
Speaker 11 (19:27):
I go to North Branch.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
I love it, man. You have a great day at school.
What grade are you in?
Speaker 24 (19:33):
I'm in sixth.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (19:35):
All right.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
You're a year away from middle school, or does sixth
grade include middle school in your district?
Speaker 36 (19:40):
Yeah, he's in middle school.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
He's in middle school. Do you like middle school so far?
Speaker 33 (19:45):
Yeah, I'm liking it.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Okay. That's cool. Well, listen, man, you have a great
year and give your mom, do me a favor. I
love when, you know, kids give moms a kiss before
they go into school. So make sure you don't feel
embarrassed about that. She's your mom. You're going to love
her forever.
Speaker 17 (20:01):
I know.
Speaker 9 (20:03):
All right.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Make sure Bailey gives you a kiss before he leaves
that car.
Speaker 33 (20:08):
I will, definitely.
Speaker 12 (20:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Love you guys.
Speaker 12 (20:10):

Speaker 2 (20:21):
And cash in.
Speaker 18 (20:22):

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Okay.
Speaker 23 (21:24):
All right.
Speaker 2 (21:24):

soundproof area, Stephanie. Goodbye.
Speaker 12 (21:29):
Bye.
Speaker 35 (21:31):
All right.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Tie always
goes to the champions. Question number one, Isabel. The Detroit
Lions made a move yesterday placing Isaiah Pacheco on the
injured reserve list. How many players are on the field
for each NFL team during normal play?
Speaker 12 (21:51):
Oh, gosh.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
I'm so bad at sports.
Speaker 7 (21:55):
Pass.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Pass on that one. Question number two. Ariana Grande ended
her tour in London last night. On which cable network
did Ariana Grande have a show that kicked off her
career in Hollywood?
Speaker 21 (22:11):
Three seconds.
Speaker 23 (22:12):
Let's say Fox.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Question number three. Robert Pattinson is currently at the Venice
Film Festival promoting his new movie, Primetime. What character did
Pattinson play in the Twilight movies?
Speaker 26 (22:30):
Edward Cullens.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Question number four. Meta agreed to a more than $ 17
billion settlement in a lawsuit over children's social media addiction.
Which of the following social media platforms is not owned
by Meta? A, Instagram, B, Snapchat, or C, WhatsApp? B.
(22:57):
And question number five. In honor of it now being September,
in Earth, Wind & Fire's song September, I want you
to fill in the blank, okay? And I'll sing it
for you. Okay. Do you remember the blank night of September?
What day was it?
Speaker 10 (23:16):
30 seconds.
Speaker 39 (23:19):
Do you remember?
Speaker 40 (23:22):
21st.
Speaker 2 (23:23):

did she do?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
She got three out of five.
Speaker 12 (23:28):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Okay. I was a little worried. She struggled the first couple. Stephanie,
are you ready? Let's see if you go perfect again
on this one.
Speaker 31 (23:37):
I was born ready, Mojo.
Speaker 11 (23:39):
Let's go.
Speaker 12 (23:40):
Oh, I love it.
Speaker 41 (23:41):
All right.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Here we go. Question number one. The Detroit Lions made
a move by placing Isaiah Pacheco on the injured reserve list.
How many players are on the field for each NFL
team during normal play?
Speaker 36 (23:55):
30 seconds.
Speaker 12 (24:00):

Speaker 18 (24:05):
Oh, 11.
Speaker 12 (24:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (24:06):
No.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
I can't give it to her, though. We can't give
it to her.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Oh, that's her first miss? You were too smart, Stephanie.
That was her first miss?
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Well, she didn't listen to the question for each NFL team.
Speaker 21 (24:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
You were too smart.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
Wow.
Speaker 27 (24:19):
Zero, zero.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
You finally have missed one.
Speaker 11 (24:23):
I missed one.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
You're still perfect in my eyes.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Well, because we gave her hope then, so it wasn't fair.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Shannon has been doing some of these football rules questions.
Where does this come from, Shannon? Are you taking any
rules class?
Speaker 3 (24:36):
No, I feel like I just need to do other
questions besides, like, what team is the— Oh, okay. What
city do the Saints represent?
Speaker 12 (24:43):
I like it.
Speaker 24 (24:43):
That was good.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
You got her.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
And you got her. She missed one. All right, here
we go. Don't miss a couple more, because you miss
a couple more. Isabelle, you're the champion. Question number two,
Ariana Grande ended her tour in London last night. On
which cable network did Ariana Grande have a show that
kicked off her career in Hollywood?
Speaker 17 (25:04):
Nickelodeon.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Yes, one and nothing.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Question number three, Robert Pattinson is currently at the Venice
Film Festival to promote his new movie, Primetime. What character
did Pattinson play in the Twilight series?
Speaker 38 (25:21):
Edward Cullen.
Speaker 12 (25:23):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Question four. Meta has agreed to a $ 17 billion settlement
in a lawsuit over children's social media addiction. Which of
the following social media platforms is not owned by Meta? A, Instagram, B, Snapchat,
or C, WhatsApp?
Speaker 18 (25:46):
WhatsApp.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
No, she misses another.
Speaker 12 (25:50):
What?
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Snapchat that means oh my god it comes down to
one more question here.
Speaker 9 (25:59):
Oh my god if you get.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
This question wrong not only will you have had your
first misses in this contest history over the last 12
times playing but you will have lost the contest to
isabel you must get this question right in order to
win with a tie good luck In honor of it
(26:22):
being September, in Earth, Wind & Fire's famous song, September,
I want you to fill in the blank. Do you
remember the blank night of September?
Speaker 11 (26:36):
21st night of September.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
She wins it that time.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Three to three, final score.
Speaker 28 (26:45):
It's Mojo in the mornings, five is 655.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
All right, so we're going to do five lies, tell
your mom. If you would like to phone scam your mom,
this radio program, your home of the phone scams, your
home of five lies, is going to give you a chance.
Text MOM to 95500. That is MOM, M-O-M, as in
the lady who birthed you. The first and only person
(27:13):
that loves you unconditionally. Not even your father loves you unconditionally.
There's a lot of conditions when it comes to my household.
Like what? Well, right now I'm mad at Luke. Luke's
been on a little spending spree on the emergency credit
card at college. First week, he's running it up. On what? Luke,
(27:34):
he's been buying clothes, which I was okay with, because
Luke is not a kid that has clothes. Like he
wears these.
Speaker 23 (27:40):
I saw his shoes.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Well, his shoes are filthy, right?
Speaker 14 (27:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
He's got these on cloud white shoes that are no
longer white. They're like completely dark black. And then he
was wearing a pair of pants that, I'm not lying
to you, were not meant to be floods. They were
not meant to be that short. All right, so he's
probably spending it on booze or something. Knowing him. Knowing him.
He's a junior now? He's senior.
Speaker 21 (28:05):
Jeez. That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
God willing, he's a senior. All right, text mom to 95500,
and you have a chance to win.
Speaker 18 (28:14):
It's Mojo in the Morning. five lies to tell your.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Mom tabitha ready for five lies to tell your.
Speaker 21 (28:23):
Mom you know it i'm excited.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
We're gonna phone scam her this morning with five lies
and bianco what are we.
Speaker 42 (28:32):
Doing all right so we're gonna pretend that tabitha got
pulled over but she told the cop that her mom
fell over and she's going to help her mom so
we're gonna have her mom put on a little performance
to help tabitha get out of this mess i love.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
It you think your mom would lie for.
Speaker 12 (28:45):
You Oh, yeah.
Speaker 15 (28:49):
And I cannot have any points on my record because
I drive for a living. So she's not going to
let me get any tickets, you know.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 20 (28:59):
I think she'll do it.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Here are the five lies that listeners have to make
sure that you listen for all five of these so
that we can get a prize for Tabitha's mom. Lie
number one, you're going to say, Mom, I got pulled
over for speeding. Lie number two.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
I told him that you fell and I'm going to
help you.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Lie number three. I need you to pretend to fall
in the shower. Lie number four.
Speaker 23 (29:24):
So take off your clothes and turn on the water.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Oh, my God. And lie number five. You need to
stay there until the cops come. You ready?
Speaker 12 (29:35):
I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
We're calling your mom up for five lies. to tell
your mom. Speak up nice and loud.
Speaker 22 (29:41):
Okay.
Speaker 26 (29:42):
Okay.
Speaker 39 (29:55):
Mom?
Speaker 9 (29:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 40 (29:57):
Turn the TV down. I need you to hear me.
Speaker 25 (30:06):
What?
Speaker 15 (30:08):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 38 (30:08):
Do you have your hearing aids in?
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 39 (30:11):
What's going on?
Speaker 23 (30:13):
I got a situation.
Speaker 39 (30:14):
What kind of situation?
Speaker 18 (30:17):
I got pulled over.
Speaker 12 (30:19):
Oh, God.
Speaker 21 (30:21):
I got pulled over.
Speaker 38 (30:23):
I got pulled over.
Speaker 43 (30:24):
Speeding, Mom.
Speaker 32 (30:25):
So, like, I'm heading your way.
Speaker 38 (30:27):
They're following me. I told them that you fell.
Speaker 15 (30:34):
You're going to have to help me, Mom.
Speaker 40 (30:36):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 39 (30:41):
I told them I fell and you're on your way.
Speaker 23 (30:45):
Mom, go and.
Speaker 38 (30:46):
Yes, I told them you fell.
Speaker 15 (30:48):
You.
Speaker 38 (30:49):
Mom, I was on my way towards your house. I
knew that I could have.
Speaker 44 (30:53):
You at least cover me. So I need you to.
Speaker 32 (30:56):
Go into the bathroom and act like you fell in
the shower.
Speaker 38 (31:00):
Like, turn the water on, lay on the floor.
Speaker 17 (31:02):
Take your clothes off.
Speaker 39 (31:05):
I can't do that.
Speaker 38 (31:08):
Take your clothes off, Mom.
Speaker 39 (31:09):
I got dare in the arm.
Speaker 32 (31:15):
So tell Darren to go hide somewhere in the basement
or something and go.
Speaker 38 (31:21):
Lay down, at least lay down on the floor with
your clothes on. Keep the water on.
Speaker 12 (31:25):
I'm coming, Mom.
Speaker 38 (31:25):
The girls are on their way.
Speaker 39 (31:27):
Mom. You're going to get busted because I have Darren here.
Speaker 21 (31:32):
Mom, tell Darren.
Speaker 38 (31:34):
They're going to know you're going to be lying.
Speaker 32 (31:38):
Go tell Darren to go downstairs to the basement.
Speaker 38 (31:42):
Mom, go lay down on the floor and.
Speaker 10 (31:44):
Get me out of the ticket.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
Tabitha, look, I.
Speaker 39 (31:48):
Love you so much, and I would do anything, but
I am not doing that.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Hi, is this Tabitha's mom?
Speaker 18 (31:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Hi, how you doing? I'm the police officer that pulled
over your daughter. She said that she was racing home
to help you. You're on the floor right now?
Speaker 10 (32:08):
Mom, yeah, I.
Speaker 39 (32:10):
Yeah, I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get here.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Wait a second. She tried to explain it to me.
Can you tell me where you are right now just
to try to verify her story?
Speaker 28 (32:22):
Oh, I'm in the.
Speaker 39 (32:25):
Bathroom right now laying on the floor.
Speaker 12 (32:27):
You are?
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Okay. Are you okay? Do you need us to call 911? Oh, no.
Speaker 39 (32:31):
My boyfriend just ran up to the store. You should
be here anytime.
Speaker 40 (32:38):
I called her and she wasn't she was trying to
rush here and then I, and then, um, my boyfriend
went to a grocery store.
Speaker 39 (32:46):
So I was just trying to get them, you know, okay.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
So, so I'm okay. So your daughter is telling us
the truth that you fell in the shower and she's
trying to just get home to help you.
Speaker 17 (32:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (33:01):
Great.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Tabitha, should we tell your, your mom?
Speaker 12 (33:04):
Hey, Hey mom.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
This is the mojo in the morning show and Tabitha
had you on the five lies to tell your mom
phone scam wow.
Speaker 38 (33:19):
I knew you would get me out of it though mom.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Mom you did good your daughter is okay she did
not get pulled over she was just phone scamming you
just to have some fun.
Speaker 39 (33:39):
By the way, do you have a TV in the
shower with you?
Speaker 9 (33:42):
What is going on?
Speaker 2 (33:44):
What are you watching?
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Everything's got to be loud around her. Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
What is it that you're watching right now, Mom?
Speaker 10 (34:07):
All right.
Speaker 39 (34:09):
I'll talk to you later, Tam.
Speaker 38 (34:11):
She doesn't even want to finish the conversation.
Speaker 18 (34:15):
It's Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 12 (34:18):
Sweet.
Speaker 18 (34:20):
Five lies to tell your mom.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
How mom changes her tune. Oh, my God.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
That was amazing.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
That was actually amazing. That was pretty crazy. Would you
do that? I laughed so hard. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
You would?
Speaker 12 (34:35):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Sometimes these kids got to learn their lesson. I'm sorry.
I'm not getting on the floor in the shower. Can
you imagine?
Speaker 3 (34:45):
I would wet my hair and everything.
Speaker 14 (34:48):
Uh, wow.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
All right. You want to be on five lives? Text
mom to nine five five zero zero. All right. It's
mojo in the morning show. So there's a topic that's
on the board and it says, Kevin wants to talk
about mojo. And I don't know what this topic is
all about. Nah, you're just a funny guy. You're a
very funny guy. Oh, God, here it comes.
Speaker 10 (35:06):
No, no, it's not. No, there's no buts about it.
It's just, you're a funny guy. You're a very interesting,
you know, individual. So Mojo came and picked me up, right?
So he's waiting out front. I get in the car.
When I get in the car, he's, like, talking into
his phone.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Like, he likes to voice the text. He always does
voice the text. Yeah, he loves to voice the text.
Speaker 16 (35:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
So I sit down, but it's how he voice texts, though.
Speaker 10 (35:31):
He voice texts like he's a sex operator. He has
his phone all the way up to his mouth, and
he's like, I can't do seven. See if she can
do six instead. And then he'll pull the phone back
and look at it to make sure it came all.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
The way right. And then he'll hit send. He's like,
will you be free at seven?
Speaker 3 (35:56):
This is so spot on.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
And then send it.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
Wait.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
That's not how you voice the text, bro. You can
just talk regularly. Wait, so when I'm voiced to texting,
I actually change my tone? Yes, you do. You get lower.
Speaker 10 (36:08):
Send your Starbucks order.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
I honestly think it's because you do it sometimes in
the studio when the mics are on. You will text
our workers, for lack of a better word, in other
markets and be like, this commercial and i think you're
just used to doing that but i noticed that too
and that is so darn funny i did not realize
(36:36):
all the time.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Charlie and daniel We're coming out of the commercial break.
It's 634.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
But you'll do it because we're talking. So you're trying
to be quiet. And I think now just the rest
of the day, you're used to talking like that.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
It's so funny because, yeah, because I do voice to
text a lot. Which, by the way, my voice to
text thinks that I don't know how to speak. Like,
I'll voice to text and I'll say something like, hey,
can you run to Kroger and grab, you know, milk
or whatever the deal is. I don't know the last
time I had milk. But I will voice text and
(37:13):
it will say, you got a smelly butt. It will
be completely different. I'm like, why does this thing not
understand me? Maybe I wasn't whispering. Maybe I am whispering.
Maybe it is.
Speaker 45 (37:25):
And you throw the periods in common. You're like, I'm
going to be there after work, period.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
But you know what's funny? If I don't do it,
it makes the sentence go crazier and then it changes
what I'm trying to do. Should I, if I'm doing
voice to text, should I do? Hey, Charlie and Daniel.
Good morning, guys. Going into a commercial break coming up
(37:54):
here in a second. How's everything going? What are you wearing?
Speaker 10 (37:59):
You can just talk regularly. I promise the words will
come out the same way.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Do you guys ever get mad at your talk to
text when it doesn't do it right?
Speaker 21 (38:08):
Or like.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
It misses part of what you say. Cause I feel
like I'm totally the opposite of you. I scream at my,
if it doesn't pick it up, especially if I'm in
my car. Cause you know, you have to talk to
the microphone. That's like up, up in the visor or whatever.
You don't talk into your phone. And so I'm always like,
tell Lucy, she has to go.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
I yell at my microphone and advisor.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
At least in my car.
Speaker 23 (38:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
For car play. That's where the microphone is. So that
when you talk on the phone and stuff, that's right there.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Okay, the more you know. Shannon, why are you talking
so loudly? Calm down in the car. Hold on, Andy's
on with us. Andy, I'm assuming, Andy, sometimes your voice
to text doesn't understand what you're saying.
Speaker 12 (38:54):
Hey, and Mojo, how are you? This is Andy from
Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
That's right, Andy from Kansas City. What's happening?
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Oh, my favorite.
Speaker 21 (39:05):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Hey, do you voice a text? I gotta, I gotta
ask Andy, I gotta get with this voice of texting
thing that Kevin's bringing up on me. Do you voice
to text ever?
Speaker 26 (39:17):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
And is it ever come out wrong at all? Because
you listen, I think I have a good enunciation and
I'm thinking Andy from Kansas city, you also have a
very good enunciation, but I sometimes have a hard time
understanding what the heck you're saying. Hello.
Speaker 12 (39:35):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 46 (39:40):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (39:40):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Andy, go ahead. What's going on, Andy.
Speaker 16 (39:44):
Hey, Mojo. I, I had to tell you, I happened
to see another Guy with the name Mojo.
Speaker 12 (39:51):
A little kid.
Speaker 6 (39:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Really?
Speaker 12 (39:53):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Tell him I'm suing him. Tell him I'm sending a
cease and desist.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
A little kid with.
Speaker 30 (39:59):
The name Mojo.
Speaker 16 (39:59):
You know, I'm from an Asian Indian origin, right?
Speaker 12 (40:01):
Yes.
Speaker 27 (40:01):
So I happened to meet another Indian family, and they
have a, the boys have a complicated pronunciation Indian name,
and they nicknamed him.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Mojo, okay? I like it. That's a good nickname. What's
his given name? What's the complicated name?
Speaker 12 (40:20):
Oh, guys, you can't even get that Indian name, okay?
Speaker 2 (40:23):
I want to hear you say it.
Speaker 12 (40:24):
Just don't even try it. Yeah, that's one.
Speaker 16 (40:29):
And then, Mojo, your pronunciation and the way that you
talk on the radio with different tones has inspired different
people to use those tones differently.
Speaker 12 (40:43):
At work to be successful. I got to tell you that.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
I love that.
Speaker 12 (40:46):
That's the reason.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
That's right. I look, by the way, and he says radio.
That's right. People are learning how to speak through you.
When he says radio, I want to be able to say, like, radio.
Speaker 12 (40:55):
He's like.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
Yeah, you got to roll the R, baby. Roll the R.
Speaker 12 (41:00):
I cannot roll my R's.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
I love you, Andy. Take care of yourself. Hold on. Amanda,
what's up?
Speaker 12 (41:05):
Amanda, hi.
Speaker 6 (41:05):
Hi.
Speaker 31 (41:05):
So, all I want to hear is instead of, like,
you just... Saying an exciting sentence, I just want to
hear you just say the words exclamation point in that
sexy little voice.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Oh, you want to hear it?
Speaker 26 (41:20):
So he'll go, no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
It's like, no, no, no.
Speaker 23 (41:22):
You got to go to.
Speaker 31 (41:23):
Yesterday, comma, I went to Starbucks and got a pumpkin
spice latte, exclamation point.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
That's how it is. Exclamation point.
Speaker 9 (41:35):
That's all I want to hear.
Speaker 21 (41:36):
All right.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah. Here we go. Yesterday, comma.
I got a pumpkin spice latte, exclamation point. No, no,
exclamation point. Thank you, Amanda.
Speaker 18 (41:54):
Love you.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
No problem. Love you. What's up, Sarah?
Speaker 12 (41:59):
Hi.
Speaker 43 (42:00):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 16 (42:01):
How are you guys?
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Good morning. I feel like I'm being picked on, but
go ahead. What did you want to say? I'm not
picking on you.
Speaker 47 (42:09):
I was going to say that my talk-to-text sucks so
much that majority of.
Speaker 38 (42:13):
My text messages to my best friend are apologizing for how.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Horrible my talk-to-text is.
Speaker 31 (42:20):
Every other message is, I swear, my talk-to-text hates me.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Apparently, I can't speak. It's just awful. I swear to you,
I do the same exact thing. I send a talk-to-text,
and I'm like, sorry, talk-to-text. You know what I mean?
Does this ever happen to you, Sarah? You don't turn
your microphone off on your talk to text. And next
thing you know, you look down at your phone and
there's 28 paragraphs. It's so bad. Thank you for the call.
(42:49):
I appreciate it. Hold on, Ryan. What do I sound like, Ryan?
Speaker 7 (42:54):
Every time they put the soft music under you, you
sound like Delilah.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Do you guys know who Delilah is?
Speaker 11 (43:00):
No.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Delilah is.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
Iconic.
Speaker 14 (43:02):
Delilah.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
An iconic nighttime. I don't even know if there's where
the station is that runs her here in town, but
she does a night show and she's like, this is Delilah.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
She has like a very ASMR-y kind of voice.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
It's very soothing.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
There is. And actually, to be honest with you, She's
not a bad looking lady.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
Yes, she is very pretty.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
I met her at boot camp. What's her name?
Speaker 18 (43:24):
Delilah.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Delilah. All right. Thanks, Ryan.
Speaker 28 (43:30):
Don't miss this in Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on
the 30 in minutes.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
So we talked about this briefly earlier, but the longtime
announcer for Wheel of Fortune suspended from the show because
of some misconduct. We will talk about that and a
new pet. for taylor and travis all of the details
50s coming up in the dirty.
Speaker 2 (43:48):

Speaker 28 (44:03):

the $ 20, 000 that DFCU Financial has given us to give
to you. We got to get a winner. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.
(44:33):
What is this sound? Secret sound might be too difficult, huh?
Remember when we played this before? I thought to myself,
this sound was way easier than the other sounds.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
But that's because you've seen the video of what it does.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
But even the other sounds, I saw the videos and
I thought those are crazy. What do you feel like
has been the toughest secret sound thus far? The last
one that we did with the cashews. It seems so random.
Is this one random? I'm not going to tell you.
Random to you. After you made fun of me and
(45:11):
the way that I talk when I text. You mean
like this? What's the secret sound? All right, Shannon, do
you guys know her at all?
Speaker 12 (45:23):
She's, uh.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
Oh, I can't wait for the description.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
She's gonna do the Dirty on 30.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
She's a nice person. Something apparently happened on an American
Airlines flight that was serious enough to have police waiting
at the gate. And the person they were waiting for,
longtime Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
The Wheel of Fortune family, our announcer, Jim Thornton.
Speaker 43 (45:49):
Hiya, Jim.
Speaker 6 (45:49):
Hiya, Pat.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Doing a great job? Well, thank you. Thank you.
Speaker 48 (45:54):
Sony Pictures Television has suspended Thornton from Wheel of Fortune
and says his position is being recast while it conducts
a thorough investigation into allegations concerning him. The development comes
after an alleged incident on a commercial flight in May,
turning a familiar television personality into the subject of a
very different kind of headline. According to reports, Thornton was
aboard a flight headed toward Los Angeles when another passenger
(46:17):
allegedly complained about him to a flight attendant. Law enforcement
was reportedly notified and officers met Thornton at the gate
when the plane arrived.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
He was questioned and released.
Speaker 48 (46:27):
American Airlines confirmed that an alleged incident was reported on
a May 14th flight headed to Los Angeles International Airport
but Sony has not publicly disclosed the specific allegations against Thornton.
For more than a decade, Jim Thornton was one of
the voices millions of Wheel of Fortune viewers heard without
ever really thinking about it.
Speaker 44 (46:44):
I love Jim Thornton so much, and how could somebody not?
Speaker 48 (46:48):
His voice was part of the rhythm of the show,
announcing contestants, prizes, and that familiar world of spinning letters.
Speaker 18 (46:57):
From Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Day!
Speaker 12 (47:02):
Hey!
Speaker 3 (47:06):
You know how they knew it was him? He was
wearing a Wheel of Fortune jacket.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
Oh, he's that guy?
Speaker 3 (47:11):
I swear.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
What a jacket. By the way, it's got to be
something sexual. Absolutely. There's no way that Jim Thorne.
Speaker 10 (47:19):
If you had to guess, what sexual act was going
on at the time?
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Did he touch somebody or something?
Speaker 3 (47:24):
It had to be. It couldn't have just been a
comment because a comment wouldn't have police waiting at the gate.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 23 (47:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (47:30):
It was bad.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Either he touched somebody or he touched himself. Well, it
could be.
Speaker 21 (47:35):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
So this happened in May, and now we're looking at September.
Wonder why it all of a sudden is coming out now.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
It's interesting. Tyler Robinson will stand trial for the murder
of Charlie Kirk, a Utah judge ruling yesterday that prosecutors
did present enough evidence to move forward with that aggravated
murder charge, among others. Again, he is accused of firing
the single rifle shot that killed Charlie Kirk as he
spoke at Utah Valley University last September. He has pleaded
(48:04):
not guilty following the judge's ruling. Travis Kelsey finally confirming
that that fluffy white dog that fans have been spotting
with him for the past couple of months. Does indeed
belong to him and Taylor. Introducing the female Samoyed in
his new Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2026 campaign. She's at the
(48:33):
famous Plaza Hotel. Also stars Gigi Hadid, Carmelo Anthony. I
think the dog's name is Wendy. I think that's what
I've heard. But Wendy joins Taylor's three famous cats, Meredith Gray,
Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
So they've got four pets in that household. Do you
think they take care of any of those cats or
they have people that take care of them? Oh, for
sure they got people. I think they still play with
him every six months when I see him. Do you
think he takes his dogs on walks before he goes
to the football stadium?
Speaker 3 (49:09):
Honestly, I could see him doing it.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Or does he bring them to work with him like
the legendary Johnny Dare used to do with Barger going
to work every single day? I don't think Andy Reid
played with him. Andy Reid's not allowing that in. Nah,
he only want dogs on the field.
Speaker 3 (49:26):
And lastly, one of my favorite, favorite things to do
as a kid. We would beg. My mom to take
us to the Toys R Us on Eureka Road in Southgate.
Loved walking around. Their Barbie aisle was amazing. Got my
first Skip It there. Do you guys remember Skip It?
Speaker 2 (49:43):
Like you put it around your ankle?
Speaker 12 (49:45):
Yes!
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
Well, Toys R Us is bringing that experience back. It
is opening another brick and mortar store at a mall
in California, San Fernando Valley. But it is continuing this
comeback after going bankrupt in 2017 and closing all of
its U.S. stores that year. So Toys R Us now
has 30 standalone and flagship stores nationwide. They've got these
(50:06):
little shops inside of Macy's, which are not the same.
But people are missing the old fashioned Toys R Us
shopping experience. So they're bringing them back. And it's so
funny because I was reading some of the comments on
an Instagram post about this. And one fan was like,
now bring back Joanne's and pay less.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Joanne's just left.
Speaker 47 (50:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:26):
So I think. Oh my gosh, it's so nostalgic. I
think that these new Toys R Us locations are going
to have a whole retro toy section for adults.
Speaker 17 (50:37):
Love.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
Who grew up going to Toys R Us, like specific toys.
Speaker 45 (50:40):
If you're local, I just saw that there was one
of those in 12 Oaks Mall, a Toys R Us,
and I was like, dang.
Speaker 23 (50:46):
I didn't know they were in the malls.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
Yeah, the Somerset Macy's has one, too.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
The better one, though, is the Telegraph Southfield location.
Speaker 14 (50:51):
Oh, that one.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
Yeah, their own building. Yeah, they had their own ones.
Those were the best. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
All right, if you miss anything from today, you can
always go back and listen to the podcast anytime for
free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 12 (51:01):
Go.
Speaker 41 (51:01):
Celebrity Dirt.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Directly from the source. It is time now for Mojo's
Secret Sound.
Speaker 12 (51:15):
Giving you.
Speaker 37 (51:16):
No, do it like Wheel of Fortune. Give me an
announcer thing. Wheel of Fortune. Touching people on airplanes.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
No, this is Mojo's Secret Sound. We got to keep
this clean, guys, because... This is a contest you can
wake up to and listen with your kids in the car.
Speaker 23 (51:38):
And should.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Families going to school right now. Your chance to win
$ 5, 000 with the secret sound. Welcome Willie to the show. Hi, Willie.
Speaker 17 (51:49):
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (51:51):
How you doing, Willie? Okay, how about yourself? Fantastic. Are
we ready to win some money, Willie? My name is Willie.
Speaker 21 (51:58):
I'm Willie.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Willie, Willie, Willie, I want to get you some money.
I want to give you an opportunity to win here today.
Mojo's Secret Sound for $ 5, 000. Where are you from, first off, Willie?
Speaker 17 (52:16):
Dearborn.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
Dearborn, checking in with Willie over there. Where do you
live over in Dearborn?
Speaker 9 (52:21):
Michigan.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
I love it. Nice to have you on the show, buddy. Willie,
for $ 5, 000 from DFCU Financial, what is... And by the way,
you know, I'm so bad with... Did you know that
DFCU Financial was started in Dearborn?
Speaker 21 (52:38):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
Did you know? Synergy. It started as a place where
all the Ford Motor Company people could go and make
sure their money was making money for them. And you
know what? A lot of people from Ford Motor Company
still with DFCU Financial. All right. Willie, for $ 5, 000, what
(53:02):
is Mojo's secret sound?
Speaker 11 (53:05):
That is a tanker filling up the gas, a tanker
putting gas.
Speaker 20 (53:11):
In the ground.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Mojo's secret sound, a tanker putting gas into the ground.
Sounds to me like you've seen that before.
Speaker 21 (53:20):
I have.
Speaker 23 (53:23):
Has Zach and Lydia seen it?
Speaker 2 (53:26):
These guys, you're going to shake your head at every
person's guess, not realizing that it could be the winner
of this thing.
Speaker 28 (53:31):
I know.
Speaker 40 (53:32):
But it ain't.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
Willie's guess is not the winner, unfortunately.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
I always look at what button you're going for on
the sound box, because now I know that that fourth
one is the wrong one.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
I'm going to make sure she's not peeking off my test.
She's got the vantage point. I don't think Shannon has ever...
had to peek off somebody else's work or anything. She's not,
she wouldn't trust any of the stuff that people would do.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
I studied so hard.
Speaker 23 (54:03):
All I did was cheat.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Let me go back. Let me go back to Willie
for a second here. Willie from Dearborn. It is not,
it is not the right answer, but you know what
that means? That means that if you play again at
eight 30 this morning, we will have another chance for
you to play. Sounds good. All right. So think of
something else, Willie. I appreciate you listening, buddy. You sound
like a nice man. So I want to see you
(54:25):
win some money.
Speaker 12 (54:27):
All right.
Speaker 21 (54:27):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Thanks, buddy.
Speaker 28 (54:30):
We interrupt Mojo in the morning with this very important
complaint from a listener.
Speaker 27 (54:33):
Whenever you guys say this will only take a second,
it might be the biggest.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
Lie I've ever heard.
Speaker 9 (54:39):
You're a bunch of liars.
Speaker 18 (54:41):
This has been a breaking news alert from a listener
on Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
All right. All right. Mojo in the morning. So Mojo,
I want to know what is the etiquette slash what
should be the rules to when you're throwing a kid's
birthday party and you are doing the invites. You know,
this has always been something that over the years as
a kid, I used to sit there and get anxiety
(55:06):
about as a parent, I would get anxiety about. So
one of our friends is throwing an eighth birthday party
for their daughter and at Bounce It Up in Livonia.
Bounce It Up.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Sounds fun.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
And it got us talking about one of the most
awkward parts of being a parent. Who gets invited? Do
you invite the entire class that your eight-year-old goes to
so that nobody feels left out? Or you got a
bunch of eight-year-olds. You don't want to have to sit
there and corral them all at Bounce It Up. Do
(55:39):
you invite just maybe, I don't know, a smattering of them,
like 10 or something like that? Uh, and we were
having this conversation and I said to them, I go,
I go, how many are you inviting? And they go, well,
we're just planning on only inviting. Like, I think there
was a total of nine. And I said, you can't
do that. You have to invite the entire class. How
(56:00):
many kids in the entire class? 30, 30 is a lot,
but you know what? You don't leave any kid out
of the, uh, the invite. Cause you know what? No
kid wants to be left out of this thing. So
I wanted to ask you guys and then see what
the other parents are listening and do like when you're
throwing a.
Speaker 10 (56:16):
Party you want to be for real yeah what are
you doing when i think josiah was eight years old
and we went to zap zone i said joe who
you want to come said carter and lester i said bet.
Speaker 2 (56:29):
Yeah and they probably had a ball they got more
money they had a ball.
Speaker 10 (56:34):
But it's up to who do you want to spend
your birthday with that's i agree with did the other
kids uh know that Carter and Lester and Josiah were going.
I mean, when they came back to school, they might
have talked about it, but it wasn't broadcasted to the heavens.
It's my son's birthday. Who does he want to spend
it with? I'm not here to feed the masses.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
He wants to be with his friends.
Speaker 12 (56:55):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (56:56):
And I also think it's a really dangerous thing to say, like,
you need to invite the whole class. Well, there are
some kids. I know that this has been true for
Luce and Smith. There are some kids in the class
that they're not comfortable being around. So I'm going to
force them to be around those kids on their birthday.
Speaker 49 (57:08):
No.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
I have always told both of mine, you do not
have to be friends with everybody, but you have to
be kind and respectful to everybody. And so I like
birthday parties. It's they invite their who they are actually
friends with. And by the way, I know a lot
of schools, you're not even allowed to hand out birthday
party invitations at school anymore. So as you know, to
(57:31):
make sure that there are no hurt feelings.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
So. The problem, though, is we give goodie bags at
these things. And the kids go to school with their
goodie bags paraphernalia. And then the kids go, where did
you get that?
Speaker 3 (57:43):
No, that's not true either because all the parents throw
out that crap as soon as they get home from
the birthday party.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
By the way. Early lessons that need to be learned.
Everybody can go. I go by, and this is how
I used to go by, and Chelsea used to go
by with our kids. And I will still remember Luke.
Luke's had some great. Painted Up was one of the
places we had a birthday party. Uh, we had birthday
parties at, uh, you know, the trampoline, you know, jump,
(58:09):
you know, whatever the heck it was. Um, we've done
birthday parties at lifetime, you know, played basketball at lifetime. Yeah.
Basketball lifetime.
Speaker 12 (58:17):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
That's all. I go by the famous words of somebody
and I don't remember who it is right now. All
or nothing at all.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
That would be O-Town.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Oh, it's O-Town.
Speaker 40 (58:30):
Yes.
Speaker 21 (58:31):
Yes.
Speaker 33 (58:32):
Because I wanted.
Speaker 24 (58:33):
Right?
Speaker 2 (58:33):
So, yes.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
O-Town or 92.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
All or nothing. All or nobody. And actually, I remember
Chelsea used to, you know, Chelsea is the one that
had to do all the work. I didn't do anything.
Speaker 24 (58:41):
Right.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
That's why you didn't hear her sing it. But you
know what? But Chelsea was very cognizant of the fact
that she wanted to not hurt anybody's feelings. Now, mind you,
my kids went to Notre Dame Prep Marist Academy, and
they had classroom sizes sometimes of like 12 kids.
Speaker 24 (58:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
So it wasn't safe. Like, do you know what saves
you in a lot of these situations? with a lot
of these birthday parties, like Smith just had a birthday
party at this really cool place in Troy called Slick City.
And you, it was like, you get 10, you get
a party package for 10. So I'm like, pick nine friends.
Speaker 12 (59:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:13):
I like that. I'm with that.
Speaker 10 (59:14):
Back in the day, it really wasn't party vibes for me.
My mom used to bring a bunch of pizzas to
lunch at school. And I was, I loved when that
was the vibe you got to bring.
Speaker 2 (59:22):
I got to eat.
Speaker 12 (59:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Or cupcakes and things. Rex, what's up? What are your
thoughts on this one?
Speaker 44 (59:28):
Yeah, well, my daughter just had her seventh birthday party,
and a couple days before, we brought all our invitations
to meet the teacher, and we invited the whole class,
and not one of them even called or showed up.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
Okay, that breaks my heart.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
That is ridiculous. Why? That's mean.
Speaker 44 (59:48):
I don't know if it was the short notice, but
it was at the beach, and there was actually one
of the students from our class that showed.
Speaker 21 (59:55):
Up at the beach.
Speaker 10 (59:57):
Not for the party though plan on it no it's
not what y'all do with all the food.
Speaker 44 (01:00:04):
Well i mean we just took some home and just
sent it you know people that did come.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
Yeah can i tell you that when i see those
stories about the kid who didn't have anybody show up
at his birthday and the next thing you know like
the entire you know denver broncos football team shows up
or something like that like i love those stories that.
Speaker 23 (01:00:26):
Excites to show next time.
Speaker 44 (01:00:26):
I would have rather it had been that way for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
How did your kid feel?
Speaker 44 (01:00:31):
Well, you know, she's, you know, she's still seven. So
it didn't, you know, she, she had enough people there
that I guess it didn't, her feelings too bad. She
was a little sad though.
Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Next time, invite us.
Speaker 12 (01:00:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
What's her name? What's her name, Rex?
Speaker 44 (01:00:46):
Her name is Carmen.
Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
Tell Carmen we're coming to the next party.
Speaker 3 (01:00:49):
Happy birthday, Carmen.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Let's shoot a video for Carmen.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I love that.
Speaker 12 (01:00:53):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Leave your phone number with Lydia.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Hey, what's up, Kane?
Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
Hey, so I only have a one-year-old son, but I
know when we had the baby shower, I was trying
to invite everybody and their moms, and my girlfriend and
her mom were like, we're responsible for feeding all these people.
So thinking on the topic of birthday parties, if you
invite the whole class, then you've got to feed the
whole class.
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
And get ready, because when they're younger, especially, the parents
all stay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
And how are you saying 530 no more? Listen, I
think you guys, it's not that crazy. You can invite everybody.
What's up, Farrah?
Speaker 12 (01:01:30):
Hi.
Speaker 24 (01:01:32):
Hello.
Speaker 21 (01:01:32):
How are you doing?
Speaker 29 (01:01:34):
Good.
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
What's going on?
Speaker 11 (01:01:36):
I'm just wondering if you do invite the whole class
and 30 kids show up, who is responsible for paying
for those kids?
Speaker 44 (01:01:43):
Like if you were to go to a bounce house?
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Well, I think you got to pay for it. I
think it's your kid's birthday party.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Also, what if your kids have friends that are in
the other classes? Like if they're in third grade, what
if they're not? Then do you have to invite all
of those classes too? Do you have to invite the
whole grade?
Speaker 11 (01:01:58):
I think that's why you can't invite the whole class.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
It's getting very gray and scary.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
You guys are the reason why kids- You guys are
the reason why kids bully.
Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
So every time they have a play date, can they
invite just that one child over or do I need
to invite everybody?
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
We don't call it play dates. Those are, by the way, weird.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
I love when he knows he's wrong and he wants
to change his stance. But he won't just so that
there's like a differing of opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
You guys are all a-holes. We're just not inviting everybody.
What's up, Trent?
Speaker 37 (01:02:34):
Hi.
Speaker 12 (01:02:36):
Hey, I was just going on the whole thing. Everybody
kind of already covered it.
Speaker 50 (01:02:40):
But, yeah, most people just kind of drop their kid
off and expect you to pay for them.
Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
Well, that's what you're supposed to. You're throwing a party
for your kid. You know what I mean? And if
you can't afford the bounce house, let them come to
your backyard and get a bunch of Oscar Mayer wieners
and some Lay's potato chips, and everything will be fine.
Speaker 21 (01:02:56):
Hey, if that's what you consider a party, that's fine.
Speaker 24 (01:03:00):
I'd rather go extravagant for my kids.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
All right.
Speaker 44 (01:03:03):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Everybody's going to come on the money thing. Mojo's got money.
Mojo's doing this thing. You know why? That's what people say. No,
but that's what I'm thinking. I've been ziplip all over here.
You can pizza pizza it and do fine. What's up, Holly? Hi.
Speaker 29 (01:03:17):
Hi.
Speaker 30 (01:03:18):
I'm throwing a birthday party for my daughter right now,
and we actually decided to do it somewhere else because
last year we were planning it and thinking like, oh,
I found this science place that would show up, and
I'm thinking.
Speaker 40 (01:03:30):
Oh, 10 kids.
Speaker 30 (01:03:32):
We had like 40 kids.
Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
Well, was it fun, though? Did everybody enjoy themselves?
Speaker 30 (01:03:37):
It was fun, but I didn't think we were having
a party, so it was last minute. And I'm like,
nobody's going to show up. We sent the invitations to school.
Everybody showed up. And then there were parents showing up like, oh,
you know, they're siblings at home. I'm like, bring them in.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
That, by the way, that's a different topic altogether. The
siblings that come are not allowed to actually be there
at the party. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
Mojo, I heard you were having John Tallenger and your
buddy Paul and Brad over on Friday. We all should
get invited, right, if he's having a people over?
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
You guys want to. I'm good. I don't want to
go the last time. What's up, Miranda? I don't want
to Oscar Meyer. What's going on?
Speaker 36 (01:04:18):
How's it going this morning?
Speaker 11 (01:04:20):
I just wanted to tell you guys that good morning.
Speaker 31 (01:04:23):
So I just had my son's ninth birthday party and
we do a themed party every year.
Speaker 38 (01:04:27):
So he's had like his fifth birthday.
Speaker 30 (01:04:29):
We run at a mechanical bull.
Speaker 11 (01:04:31):
He invites his friends.
Speaker 39 (01:04:33):
I cook a bunch of food and obviously we're friends
with his friends. So it just turns into this big.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Huge house party.
Speaker 26 (01:04:39):
So we've done mechanical bowls.
Speaker 25 (01:04:40):
We've done a.
Speaker 39 (01:04:42):
Nine-hole putt-putt thing. We've done all kinds of carnival games.
Speaker 14 (01:04:47):
But this year was flipping slides.
Speaker 44 (01:04:49):
And so we.
Speaker 31 (01:04:50):
Got cake for 56 people.
Speaker 9 (01:04:52):
I cooked 10 pounds of hamburger.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
For walking tacos.
Speaker 14 (01:04:55):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
You are an angel, but there is no way I'm
doing that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:59):
Miranda, I want my kids hanging out with your kids.
You are, what a wonderful lady you are to do
all that work. You know what? That's called being a
mom there. That's called making sure that you make your kids'
life special. I love you, Miranda. That was wonderful.
Speaker 25 (01:05:14):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 17 (01:05:15):
I appreciate you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
Have a great day. How many pounds of meat again?
Speaker 22 (01:05:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
50 pounds?
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
How many Xanax did you take before that party?
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
None.
Speaker 26 (01:05:24):
No, it was just 10 pounds of hamburger.
Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
Just 10 pounds.
Speaker 22 (01:05:27):
So just 10 pounds.
Speaker 32 (01:05:28):
But walking tacos, I mean, it was a perfect.
Speaker 14 (01:05:31):
Amount of food.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Walking tacos. See that? She didn't Oscar Mayer wiener it.
She had walking tacos. That's a great mother.
Speaker 12 (01:05:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Teach Shannon.
Speaker 9 (01:05:39):
Teach Shannon.
Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Teach Shannon. Hold on. Erin, what's up, Erin? Hi, it's
Mojo in the morning. Hello.
Speaker 36 (01:05:46):
I used to do this when my daughter was in
elementary school. When she started kindergarten, I think we started
out with three classes. I would invite the entire grade. Now,
not everybody will come because they can't come, but my
family was really close with a lot of people in school.
So I just invited the entire grade until our kids
(01:06:08):
went to middle school.
Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
Wait, what about the teachers? Did you ever invite the teachers?
Speaker 14 (01:06:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
She even invited the teachers.
Speaker 41 (01:06:16):
Oh, no.
Speaker 12 (01:06:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 36 (01:06:18):
And so it was, I mean, my daughter's birthday was
in May. So in June, the middle of June.
Speaker 18 (01:06:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 29 (01:06:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (01:06:26):
And it would just turn into.
Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
Can I tell you something? I'm going to recall Sherry
Sherman went to grade school with her eight years of
grade school. I invited everybody in my class to my
eighth grade graduation party at my house, my sisters and
my mom. My mom was in literally not in good
condition at the time. They said either all or nothing.
They all came. Guess what? Sherry Sherman came up to
(01:06:48):
me afterwards and said that was the only party that
she was invited to.
Speaker 24 (01:06:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Do it for Sherry.
Speaker 23 (01:06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
Thank you. That's wonderful. Thank you. I feel so much
better getting that off my chest. Got a taste for
an Oscar Meyer wiener.
Speaker 28 (01:07:14):
Watch the Mojo in the Morning show live on your phone.
We're live now on TikTok Live, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
Speaker 18 (01:07:20):

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Two minutes before the top of the hour, I got
to give you a chance to win this hour for Mojos.
This is pretty cool. B's and C's get degrees. Back
to school promotion. We're giving away breast augmentation. If you
would like to win $ 200 gift card to Allure Medical...
And qualify for breast augmentation from Allure Medical, which, by
(01:07:43):
the way, is the home of the $ 4, 995 breast aug. Mm-hmm.
Do they call it a breast aug?
Speaker 12 (01:07:51):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 4 (01:07:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Breast.
Speaker 23 (01:07:54):
Augmentation.
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Augmentation. Are there any moms in a car with their
kids that want to win boobs right now? Taking your
kids to school. Call us. 844-MOJO-LIVE. I want to hear
the kids call in for the moms.
Speaker 9 (01:08:06):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
My mom needs new boobs. That is actually.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
So thankful my kids are at school.
Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
Do you tell your kids that you're going to do that?
Because when Chels got breast augmentation, she did not. And
she just came home with new boobs. No, she went
and got them. But I don't think she was like.
I don't know if she verbalized it. I don't remember.
The kids were older. You have to. You can't just
show up.
Speaker 10 (01:08:30):
You can't just show back up in the house with
new boobs.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Well, I think that, you know, Mommy had surgery, and Mommy's,
you know, she's doing okay. Everything's going good.
Speaker 10 (01:08:38):
But it's not like, you know... another type of surgery.
These are, you're coming home with bigger boobs.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Yeah, but not necessarily do you see them right away
because you got them tucked into whatever they've got. But
you will see them.
Speaker 10 (01:08:49):
I don't want to walk in the kitchen one day
and now my mom has went from a B to
a double D.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
We got to have conversation.
Speaker 23 (01:08:54):
How close are you looking at your mom though?
Speaker 43 (01:08:57):
Exactly.
Speaker 12 (01:08:58):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
You don't have to.
Speaker 10 (01:08:59):
If, if, it's a drastic change like that, it's going
to be noticeable. And I would like to be prepared.
Speaker 12 (01:09:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
I don't know. Listen, am I crazy? I don't know. Let, let, let,
let me see if Louise, Louise, you got any kids
in the car?
Speaker 17 (01:09:14):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
Louise is on with us right now. Louise, are you there?
Speaker 36 (01:09:19):
Yes, I am.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
You're a winner, Louise. Congratulations. Louise, what are we trying
to get? You want some new breasts?
Speaker 11 (01:09:30):
I got some saggers.
Speaker 39 (01:09:31):
I need to get made perky again.
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Oh, I like that. She's got some saggers. She's got
some saggers. We got to lift the saggers up here.
All right, so, Louise, you got a $ 200 Allure Medical
gift card, and you're now qualified for breasts... that we
will give away on Friday morning. So make sure that
you're listening Friday morning and have your phone out. Cause
we call you to tell you you're a winner. All right.
Speaker 21 (01:09:54):

is pretty darn good for one day or on this one,
more than 350,000 downloads on just that war of the roses.
So if you missed it yesterday morning on a show,
she found out that her fiance was cheating on her
or possibly cheating on her with one of his coworkers.
(01:11:19):
And he was, he took her back to her home
after a night of drinking because she She had a
little bit too much to drink and then spent a
little bit too much time, I guess, with her. So
you can listen to that podcast. That podcast, along with
all of our others, are available on the iHeartRadio app.
Did you know in 2025, and now it looks like

one most listened to podcast in both Michigan and Ohio.
That is awesome. Let's go, guys.
Speaker 21 (01:11:51):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Thank you. So you can listen to it. You know, honestly,
a lot is, and I'm not going to lie to you,

of people's relationship lives. So it's Mojo in the Morning.
Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE.
Speaker 12 (01:12:09):
844-665-6548.
Speaker 2 (01:12:09):
Text is 95500. I'm not cool enough to know this terminology,
but Shannon explained it this morning. But we're in the
what months?
Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
The BRR months. Like the B-E-R. So September, October, November, December.
The BRR months.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:12:31):
I posted something on my Instagram story yesterday that had
people very, very divided when it comes to the BRR
months since it was the first day of September. I
lit all the fall candles that I had bought at
HomeGoods all around my house. It was so funny. People
were DMing me, no, and nope, and too soon. I'm like,
(01:12:52):
it is September. Yeah, I feel like it's an appropriate time.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
I mean, that definitely.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
I don't think lighting candles is a horrible thing, but
I think when I see people in August and September
putting their Halloween decorations, those skeletons.
Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
Well, Summerween is also a very real thing. And it's
funny you say that because Yesterday on my Famous Neighborhood
Facebook page, people were upset because one of the families
has already put up their giant skeleton.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Already?
Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
And they got lots of comments of, too soon. And
Wes even said to me, he's like, I feel like
we should set it up next week. Because I like
having all of the decorations up for a little while,
but I'm like, oh, I don't.
Speaker 38 (01:13:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
Is it too early? I think you've got to wait.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
You've got to wait until October 1st for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
Oh, see, that's too late. Because then you only have
it up for four weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
That's okay.
Speaker 23 (01:13:48):
Mine's already up.
Speaker 2 (01:13:49):
Your Halloween stuff?
Speaker 29 (01:13:50):
Yes.
Speaker 23 (01:13:51):
Pumpkins.
Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
You're in an apartment.
Speaker 23 (01:13:54):
A Frankenstein.
Speaker 10 (01:13:55):
What does that mean? You can't decorate your apartment? It's
all interior stuff. Yeah, you've got a bunch of stuff like,
you know.
Speaker 23 (01:14:03):
Yeah, Halloween stuff in my apartment.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
See, I think it's like a classroom for a kid.
That's great. I like that. It's true.
Speaker 10 (01:14:12):
I think pumpkins are cool, but once you start putting, like,
ghosts and skeletons, that's October vibes.
Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
Do you have on your apartment door so that everybody
can see? Do you have boo on there?
Speaker 23 (01:14:22):
No, I don't.
Speaker 9 (01:14:24):
We got to get you a floor mat.
Speaker 23 (01:14:26):
We're not allowed to have them in our building.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
They don't let you ask for it. Must be one
of those Bedrock Gilbert properties, huh?
Speaker 21 (01:14:32):
Rules, rules, rules.
Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
Hey, real quick, I want to ask this question because
we're talking about all this stuff. Don't you think that
the first week that you throw stuff up has to
be that Saturday morning where you wake up and it's
like 50 degrees and there's football on TV? We haven't
even had that at all.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
I feel like it was that for Halloween, you mean,
or for to break out all the fall stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
For Halloween and all that stuff. Like, I don't think
you have to be in the mood.
Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
I think it's too early for Halloween.
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Like West saying, hey, let's do it this weekend. It's
going to be ninety nine degrees.
Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
Yeah, I'm not going to be in the mood this
weekend yet.
Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
It's not going to be fun. Like today I went
to Starbucks and I saw that they had the pumpkin
spiced cold brews.
Speaker 15 (01:15:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
And I thought to myself, you know, I'm no no. No.
Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
That's because of this crazy weather we're having right now, though.
Because to me, once it's September 1, I'm good for
the fall.
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
Remember we had that one week in August that actually
felt like, oh, summer is over with and we were
all depressed? That would put me in the mood to
possibly do it.
Speaker 23 (01:15:38):
So then it's acceptable.
Speaker 12 (01:15:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
I think the weather does play a role.
Speaker 10 (01:15:42):
I still don't think, I think Halloween stuff should go
up October 1st, maybe the last weekend in September.
Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
If you want to do it.
Speaker 10 (01:15:48):
I think pumpkins and browns and oranges and all that
kind of stuff can go up now.
Speaker 12 (01:15:52):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Cause it's like, it's like the leaves.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
I'm kind of with you there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Like the leaf colors, like that stuff can be decorative.
Has there, I don't, I don't know how the weather
has been for summertime as far as leaf changing colors,
but have, has anybody looked at any of the signs
of what up North looks like nowadays? Is it, is,
are the leaves changing or anything? You're going up north, right, Emma?
Speaker 23 (01:16:13):
Yeah, in a couple weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Are you? By the time you go up north, I
guarantee you that will probably be. Rebecca, what's up? It's
Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 12 (01:16:20):
Hi.
Speaker 11 (01:16:21):
Hi, how are you guys this morning?
Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
We're doing okay. It's the Burr months. They have names
for everything.
Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
The Burr months and Summerween, you just learned.
Speaker 2 (01:16:29):
What's up?
Speaker 39 (01:16:31):
Yes, my Halloween decorations have been up since July.
Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Oh, my God. Now that is a little.
Speaker 14 (01:16:36):
Why?
Speaker 39 (01:16:40):
I love Halloween.
Speaker 11 (01:16:41):
My whole kitchen is pink and ghosts. Uh, Halloween is
my favorite season.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Are you a Wiccan?
Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
That was the.
Speaker 19 (01:16:50):
Soonest that my husband would let me put it out.
Speaker 21 (01:16:55):
So it was in July.
Speaker 12 (01:16:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
There are, by the way, no offense to you on
this one, but there are those kind of like freaky
way too into Halloween girls. that, like, make their makeup
even look like it's, you know, like they're scary. Like
them goth baddies?
Speaker 12 (01:17:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
Well, you know, there's a difference between goth and then
I'm a freaky Halloweener. You know what I mean? I'm
down for some freaky Halloween. You like that?
Speaker 17 (01:17:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
Do you change your makeup at this time of the year, too, Rebecca?
Do you make yourself look scary?
Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
I don't wear makeup, so no.
Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Oh, okay. So she's scary enough.
Speaker 11 (01:17:27):
I just do my lashes, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
I love it. Good for you, Rebecca.
Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
Bare-faced and beautiful.
Speaker 12 (01:17:33):
Wake up. Yes.
Speaker 9 (01:17:34):
Boop.
Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
What's up, Mike? How you doing? We're too silly today.
What's going on? Hi, Mike. Good morning, y'all.
Speaker 11 (01:17:40):
How y'all doing?
Speaker 12 (01:17:40):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Fantastic.
Speaker 52 (01:17:43):
I've been decorating since August 1st. My cousin started putting
it up, and I got probably about 40 things out
on my lawn, all decorated.
Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Things like what?
Speaker 12 (01:17:53):
It's crazy out there.
Speaker 52 (01:17:55):
I got two 10-foot skeletons, a 10-foot Frankenstein, Alienship.
Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Homemade.
Speaker 35 (01:18:07):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
You go all out.
Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Homemade Alienship. What town do you live in? I'm calling
the city. I live out in Burton. Okay, so the sticks, huh?
You got a little rural area. They don't have rules
out there. There's no subdivision rules. No Gilbert rules.
Speaker 10 (01:18:24):
Oh, no.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
My neighbors love it.
Speaker 52 (01:18:26):
I live on a little circle road. And they just
walk by and just look and just talk.
Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
I want to see the spaceship. Can you send us
a picture of the spaceship, Mike?
Speaker 6 (01:18:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
I appreciate it. Hold on, Lydia. Get his spaceship.
Speaker 9 (01:18:44):
I want to see that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:45):
Say the kind of street he lives on again.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
Cul-de-sac. Oh, no.
Speaker 12 (01:18:50):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
Cul-de-sac, right?
Speaker 24 (01:18:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
It's a cul-de-sac. Cul-de-sac. Kira, don't laugh at me.
Speaker 18 (01:18:58):
You said it.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
Twice, and I was like, what is he saying?
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
I'm glad you let it slide. You understand I have
a speech impediment. What's going on, Kira?
Speaker 40 (01:19:04):
Hey.
Speaker 19 (01:19:07):
Yeah, you know, I was just saying, like, you can
just stop in, like, Dollar Tree, like, in July, and
I saw the Halloween stuff up.
Speaker 21 (01:19:12):
My anxiety was, like, through the roof.
Speaker 16 (01:19:14):
I'm like, oh, my God.
Speaker 14 (01:19:15):
Like, it's already, like, time is moving so fast already.
Speaker 39 (01:19:18):
I already feel like, you know, like, how is.
Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Today even Wednesday? How is it September?
Speaker 26 (01:19:22):
But then you want to throw in Halloween?
Speaker 14 (01:19:23):
Like, stop.
Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
They'll put Christmas decorations up next week.
Speaker 12 (01:19:25):
Watch.
Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
I was just really surprised at the negative reaction to
lighting a fall candle.
Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
Poncho. What's up, Poncho?
Speaker 9 (01:19:35):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
What's happening?
Speaker 43 (01:19:37):
The easiest way to determine if it's not too early
is if the Halloween attractions such as corn mazes haunted
houses are open or Spirit of Halloween.
Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
Spirit of, yeah, the Spirit stores.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Well, they're out.
Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Yeah, they seem year-round now.
Speaker 23 (01:19:53):
I just looked up Erebus. It opens in like two weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
Cider Mills. What about Cider Mills?
Speaker 33 (01:19:57):
I think they're open.
Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
Or Apple Orchards. Some, depending on where you live, that's
what you call them. What's up, John?
Speaker 12 (01:20:04):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
Good morning.
Speaker 14 (01:20:07):
So Halloween, my Christmas tree goes up because there's nothing
to do while the kids are trick-or-treating. So I just
put it up there.
Speaker 9 (01:20:16):
That is wild.
Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
Your Christmas tree is up?
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
That's a wild time.
Speaker 36 (01:20:21):
No, I put the Christmas tree up Halloween night.
Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
Halloween night.
Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
While his kids are out getting candy.
Speaker 23 (01:20:26):
So you have it all November and December.
Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
But Shannon, you can't poo-poo on John because you said,
I'm not putting my... you know, Halloween decorations up October 1st.
I only get one month. John is putting it up
November 1st. He gets basically... Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
I'm just saying the timing is weird that it's actual
Halloween and he's bringing out the Christmas stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
I always feel like the Christmas tree doesn't go up
until after Thanksgiving. I still think we got to celebrate Thanksgiving.
I'm sorry about it. You know, I know we got some.
I know. I know we don't like the pilgrims, you know, or... Oh,
I mean... Mashed potatoes! And football. Yeah. We're canceling Thanksgiving
(01:21:12):
this year.
Speaker 10 (01:21:13):
Can I read this text?
Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Yes, go ahead.
Speaker 23 (01:21:17):
Someone said Summerween. He won't answer me.
Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
He said, Summerween? What the heck is that, Shannon? Summerween
sounds like something freaky I want to give my wife.
You do whatever you want with that phrase.
Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
I love it.
Speaker 9 (01:21:31):
Hey, stay in school, at least to avoid the real
world for a few more years.
Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
This is Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 29 (01:21:38):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
It is Mojo in the morning. Home of the War
of the Roses. Second date update. That's coming up. Shannon's
dirty on the 30. The five lies. Tell your mom
phone scam. Am I the a-hole? Throwback. Throwdown. I mean,
there's so many fun things that we get to do
on the show, and we actually call this a job,
which is kind of crazy.
Speaker 15 (01:21:58):
Anna.
Speaker 2 (01:21:59):
Anna. first off the last two days you look phenomenal
Anna let me give you yesterday Anna comes into the
studio and I look around the room hey what's going
on oh my god look at he had your hair
kind of curled and you had the makeup on point
(01:22:21):
you looked like you were happy and smiling and everything's
good and I thought to myself wow Anna what's going
on I feel bad asking that question Do you have
an appointment today or something? Because sometimes when somebody dresses
or looks a little different, you think they must be
meeting with a client or something. But you had a
different reason why you were getting yourself looking like that.
Speaker 45 (01:22:42):
So a lot of the men I meet are through Instagram.
And I have been communicating with a new man via
Instagram DMs.
Speaker 23 (01:22:54):
And he was taking a little bit long to respond.
Speaker 45 (01:22:57):
So I was like, I need to look good and
post something on my story to get his attention, and
then I know he's going to respond in a second.
Speaker 23 (01:23:06):
So that's what I was doing. But then I didn't.
I didn't have time to take a picture.
Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
A whole day?
Speaker 23 (01:23:13):
It just didn't work out.
Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
Did you want it to be a close-off picture?
Speaker 18 (01:23:17):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 45 (01:23:18):
I was going to take a, I don't know, me
out doing something, but I just had too many other
things to do.
Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
So you will specifically post just to get The guy
don't see it?
Speaker 23 (01:23:29):
Not always, but like, yeah, thirst trap.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
Come on. I get thirst traps, but it was, you know.
Speaker 23 (01:23:36):
It was for this guy specifically.
Speaker 45 (01:23:38):
Because I knew that we had been DMing and my
messages would be in his DMs, like at the top,
and he would see I post a story and he
would click it right away. And I was like, I
need him to see what he's missing out on. And
then he would respond to my DM very fast.
Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
Do you ever post something like that and they don't
click on it? You don't see that they are one
of the people that saw it?
Speaker 6 (01:23:58):
Yeah, maybe, but.
Speaker 2 (01:23:59):
Does it bother you? Like, do you go, damn it,
I gotta.
Speaker 12 (01:24:02):
You know?
Speaker 23 (01:24:03):
I don't know. I think every time I post it,
they respond.
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Do they?
Speaker 12 (01:24:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
See, that's how you gotta play it.
Speaker 39 (01:24:09):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
I love getting it. Why don't you watch my stories?
Or you don't see my stories? I love that. When
girls say that to you?
Speaker 12 (01:24:15):
I have.
Speaker 23 (01:24:16):
We've talked about this before.
Speaker 45 (01:24:17):
I block all the guys that I'm talking to, like,
their stories, because I don't want to see it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:21):
Because.
Speaker 23 (01:24:22):
For that reason.
Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
So you've had girls call you out specifically because... you
did not look at their story for a little bit.
Speaker 12 (01:24:30):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
And what do you say to them? You know, you
didn't pop up.
Speaker 23 (01:24:34):
Are you intentionally avoiding that?
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Sometimes, yeah. Oh, okay.
Speaker 10 (01:24:38):
I mean, sometimes you really, because, like, when you go
on Instagram, you only got, like, so many stories that
you can see, and I'm not about to, like, go
find you. Like, I'm not that thirsty for it. If
I see it, I might look at it. I might
not look at it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
I always feel weird when I'll go on Instagram and
I'll look at, like, I'll see somebody's got a story
up there. I'm like, Oh, I want to see what
they put on their story. And then instantaneously, all the
people I look at the most, their story, their stories
come up. And I hate that. I noticed that they
just put it up or it looks, you know, it
(01:25:10):
just showed that they put it up and I'm like,
I'm the top of the earth. The bottom of the list. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:25:16):
And a right though, like there are times where not
even if you're talking to someone, but say you used
to be in communication with someone, And then you click
that story and you see a new updated picture of
them and you're like, what's up?
Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
You know what I mean? It forces you to engage.
Who does this? I want to know, are there any others?
I know that many of us do. Let's admit it.
And let's ask the question of you. Did it work?
And I want to know if it worked. Can I
tell you what I also don't do? So if you
post something on social media, Shannon posts something on social media,
(01:25:53):
and she just posted it. And I just thought, I
will not be the first like, because if I'm the
first like, not specifically, I'm saying this to you, I
will leave you. But there are some others, like there
are some times where I'll go through and I'll see
nobody liked it. And I'll go, I can't be the
first one because I don't want to sound, I don't
want to look like I'm like.
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Do you want to know what's so funny? That just
happened to me with Chels.
Speaker 34 (01:26:15):
Really?
Speaker 3 (01:26:16):
Your wife. Chels posted something. I can't remember what it was.
Maybe it was a pic with her girl cousins because
she just took a cousin trip. And I was like,
how does this beautiful photo not have any likes? So
I liked it. And then I'm like, oh, it was
posted 38 seconds ago. Now I'm that weirdo. But it
just came up. Like when I opened the app, that
was the first thing on there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Sometimes if you're the first one as a guy on
a girls, it doesn't. feel like you're being right you
were thirsty i don't think it's that deep really.
Speaker 10 (01:26:44):
It's not but like as to shannon's point 38 seconds
ago i'm not joking it.
Speaker 41 (01:26:50):
Is i guess yeah i'm just a serial liker uh
844 mojo live is telephone number 844-665-6548 uh let me
read a text message not from uh our listeners here
but read a text message from Do not say my
name on the radio.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
So I got a text from a do not say
my name on the radio. But I pulled an Anna yesterday.
This is a friend, a female friend of Chelsea and I's.
I pulled an Anna yesterday. And sure enough, he was
the first one to look at it.
Speaker 23 (01:27:24):
Worked like a charm, my girl.
Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
Bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing. And it's funny, too,
because I'm going to go to their Instagram and look
and see. I want to see exactly what it was.
See what they got going on there.
Speaker 12 (01:27:36):
Show me.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Oh, look at them. Look at them looking all hot. Fine.
Another one here. Girls are wild. Guys would never do
something like this. Do guys do this?
Speaker 29 (01:27:51):
True.
Speaker 35 (01:27:51):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Guys don't do this at all. They don't post something.
I put stuff up on social media because I wanted
to get somebody attention. I knew it was a good pick.
And I thought to.
Speaker 3 (01:28:00):
Myself, everybody does that.
Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
But I but I've posted going, man, I hope, you know,
People see it. That sounds sad.
Speaker 23 (01:28:06):
It's just like playing games. Guys play games in different ways.
Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
Okay. What do you mean?
Speaker 45 (01:28:12):
Like y'all might purposely take a long time to respond
because you don't want her to think you're that interested
in her.
Speaker 23 (01:28:18):
I don't know. I just feel like it's different games
that y'all play.
Speaker 2 (01:28:20):
810. This is for Anna. Girl, that's wild. I always
wish I could read. Can I read this and what
I think their voice sounds like? Go ahead.
Speaker 12 (01:28:29):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Girl, that's wild. Don't chase. The right man will never
make you feel that way. That is from 810. Now
call their number and call them. Lydia, call 810. I
already did.
Speaker 23 (01:28:43):
She can't talk. It's Chelsea.
Speaker 2 (01:28:45):
Her name is Chelsea?
Speaker 32 (01:28:46):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
Not my wife, Chelsea, right? Because I do not want
to imitate Chelsea. I've imitated Chelsea before and got myself
in trouble. Alright, listener Chelsea. Another one here right now.
This is from 248 Anna, don't be so thirsty. Let
them come to you.
Speaker 23 (01:29:05):
Listen, they came to me first. That's why they're in
the DMs.
Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
I can't believe you did not.
Speaker 12 (01:29:10):
I know.
Speaker 23 (01:29:11):
I didn't post anything.
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
All day yesterday. Anna yesterday looked so good.
Speaker 23 (01:29:19):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
I'm going to go on record to say this. Anna
has very different styles. I don't think Anna gives herself
credit for being as attractive of a person as she is.
Speaker 23 (01:29:31):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
I don't think she has the self-esteem that I have
for her.
Speaker 23 (01:29:35):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
But yesterday might have been in the top three of
times that I've seen it. Wow. What are the other two? Well,
there was one that we went to, one of our
big events, maybe, I think it was. I don't even
know what it was. And then one time I was
in downtown Detroit with Chels and my family. And you
remember that? And you were doing a Christmas photo shoot
(01:29:59):
and she was dressed up like a Christmas present. She
was taking pictures out in front of all the, that
were the teddy bear thing in front of the Hudson's.
It looked good. Yeah. Let me grab a call here.
What's up Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 12 (01:30:13):
Hello.
Speaker 17 (01:30:13):
Hello.
Speaker 21 (01:30:18):
You're on the phone.
Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
Yes. What is your name?
Speaker 11 (01:30:25):
Oh, God.
Speaker 17 (01:30:26):
Marley.
Speaker 14 (01:30:27):
I'm just going to say it.
Speaker 2 (01:30:28):
That's okay. Marley, what's going on?
Speaker 30 (01:30:31):
So, first of all, thank you. You guys, we won
two free tickets to the Thomas Rhett concert from you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
How was that show?
Speaker 11 (01:30:39):
It was great. I was a little overwhelmed.
Speaker 51 (01:30:41):
That place is ginormous.
Speaker 36 (01:30:43):
It was my daughter's first concert, thanks to you guys.
Speaker 11 (01:30:46):
I was able to take her.
Speaker 3 (01:30:47):
What a good one, too.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
By the way, if you see George today over at
Six Salon, ask him how he liked the Thomas Rhett concert.
He was talking to me about that. Go ahead. What's
going on?
Speaker 39 (01:30:59):
So there was a.
Speaker 11 (01:31:00):
Picture that my daughter and I took before the concert. And,
I mean, I've been single for years.
Speaker 14 (01:31:04):
And I was like, you know what?
Speaker 36 (01:31:05):
I'm just going to post it.
Speaker 11 (01:31:06):
I don't usually post. I posted it, and immediately I have.
Speaker 36 (01:31:09):
Like, 10 messages in my DM from you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
It was looking good. Didn't it feel good, though?
Speaker 38 (01:31:15):
I wasn't even looking good. That was the good thing.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
You know what, though? That just shows you that you
don't need to do all kinds of crazy stuff. Just
be you, Marley.
Speaker 23 (01:31:24):
Instagram's like the new dating app.
Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
Yeah, that's great. I'm happy that you called us. What's up, Ellie?
Speaker 6 (01:31:29):
Hi.
Speaker 11 (01:31:29):
Hi, I have a question.
Speaker 25 (01:31:32):
Anna, did you notice if he was in your TikTok
live yesterday?
Speaker 23 (01:31:35):
Oh, no, he definitely was not.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
What did Anna do on her TikTok live yesterday, Ellie?
Speaker 11 (01:31:43):
Yeah, she was just walking and chatting with everybody.
Speaker 31 (01:31:46):
I happened to notice her.
Speaker 19 (01:31:47):
So first thing.
Speaker 53 (01:31:48):
I thought was when she said she didn't get to.
Speaker 19 (01:31:51):
Post a picture, maybe he got to see how cute
she was.
Speaker 14 (01:31:53):
On TikTok live.
Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
Wait, you said definitely not because was he at practice?
Speaker 23 (01:31:57):
Possibly.
Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
He's an athlete. Ellie, how did you think Anna looked yesterday?
Speaker 23 (01:32:05):
I didn't show myself online.
Speaker 11 (01:32:06):
She's always beautiful.
Speaker 53 (01:32:07):
I was going to say.
Speaker 45 (01:32:08):
Thank you.
Speaker 46 (01:32:08):
I don't even have to know how she looks.
Speaker 2 (01:32:09):
She's always beautiful. That's wonderful. Thank you for the call.
Speaker 21 (01:32:12):
All of you are.
Speaker 12 (01:32:12):
I like it.
Speaker 16 (01:32:13):
Have a good day.
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
And you too, Ellie. Well, we don't know. Nanette, what's up, Nanette?
Speaker 11 (01:32:18):
Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 53 (01:32:20):
Anna Slade, girl, because this is how you do it.
And that's, it's all it's got to be. Like, you
post one picture, they all look at it. So that's
how you got to roll with it.
Speaker 23 (01:32:33):
Come to mama.
Speaker 12 (01:32:34):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 44 (01:32:35):
Yes, yes, girl.
Speaker 21 (01:32:36):
Slay.
Speaker 23 (01:32:37):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
Nanette.
Speaker 23 (01:32:39):
I'm going to post one today since I didn't get one.
Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
As Anna's second father, I wish she wasn't slaying with
these athletes, though. I don't like this thing. She needs
a regular guy. What's wrong with athletes?
Speaker 11 (01:32:49):
And they're fine.
Speaker 9 (01:32:50):
They got girls in all cities.
Speaker 53 (01:32:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
These guys, you know. Not all of them. They either
get injured or arrested. I don't know.
Speaker 17 (01:33:01):
Hey, hey, but not all of them are bad.
Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Okay. Name one.
Speaker 53 (01:33:09):
Mojo, stop your dad.
Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
All right. Take care of yourself. Brittany, what's up, Brittany? Hey, yeah.
Speaker 35 (01:33:18):
I always say that men are just so easy. And
like I say jokingly, but they really are so easy.
I slid into Instagram DMs of a famous person a
couple weeks ago.
Speaker 11 (01:33:31):
After I went to their show.
Speaker 35 (01:33:33):
And then they ended up doing a show in Columbus.
Speaker 18 (01:33:36):
The very next day.
Speaker 11 (01:33:37):
But it was like, I slid in the DMs.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
He responded within an hour.
Speaker 35 (01:33:42):
And then next thing you know, the next day I'm
going to Columbus and having a wild night.
Speaker 9 (01:33:46):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
Come on, Brittany. Tell us who this famous person is.
Speaker 24 (01:33:49):
I can't.
Speaker 11 (01:33:51):
I cannot.
Speaker 9 (01:33:51):
Here, do this.
Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
I'm going to put you on hold for one second.
Tell Lydia we will not say it on the radio.
Lydia will just tell us, okay? I want to know
about the wild night. Hold on one second. Lydia, ask
her who it was. gots to know. Otherwise, I'm looking
up who played here and then went to Columbus right afterwards. Oh,
to the Googles. Yeah, I want to know. Lydia, you're
(01:34:13):
keeping me waiting. This feels like the... Is she putting
it up on your screen?
Speaker 14 (01:34:18):
Not yet.
Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
She hasn't put it on hold yet.
Speaker 23 (01:34:19):
Put it in the group chat so we can all see.
She told me, but she swore me to see.
Speaker 27 (01:34:24):
Come on!
Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
You can't do that to us.
Speaker 23 (01:34:25):
And also, you guys, I don't think... I hate to
say it. I don't think you guys will know who
this is.
Speaker 18 (01:34:29):
Oh, really?
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Did you?
Speaker 41 (01:34:31):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:34:32):
Oh, okay. I'll IMDb it. I'll IMDb it. All right.
Speaker 18 (01:34:36):
Text the show anytime at 95500.
Speaker 28 (01:34:38):
This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
All right. Secret Sound's coming up right after this. Don't
go anywhere. Don't call for Secret Sound right now, but
be by your phone to call in in just a
few minutes after we get second date update on.
Speaker 28 (01:34:53):
It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
Second date update on the Mojo in the Morning show.
finding out why you're not getting a call back after
you went on a date. How long ago, Katie, has
it been since your date that you guys have been
with each other?
Speaker 22 (01:35:15):
It's been two weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:35:17):
So you guys have not been together in two weeks,
and you're wondering why. You thought the date went great.
What was the date?
Speaker 22 (01:35:26):
We just went to a dinner.
Speaker 41 (01:35:28):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (01:35:29):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
And just had dinner and conversation?
Speaker 3 (01:35:32):
Anything afterwards?
Speaker 22 (01:35:36):
We just, like, talked in his car after.
Speaker 21 (01:35:40):
That was about it.
Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
Just talking? Talking close.
Speaker 54 (01:35:45):
I mean, we.
Speaker 21 (01:35:48):
Kissed a little. That was it.
Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Okay. So, dinner, a little kissing afterwards. And hanging out
in his car, did he try to get you to
go with him somewhere, or was the intention that you
guys were just going to stay in the car?
Speaker 22 (01:36:05):
Just in the car, and then I went home.
Speaker 2 (01:36:09):
And what was it that you guys said to each
other right before you left? Like, what did you say
to him? What did he say to you?
Speaker 22 (01:36:16):
Talk soon.
Speaker 3 (01:36:18):
Talk soon.
Speaker 23 (01:36:19):
And then you don't talk soon.
Speaker 2 (01:36:21):
And then when you, when you got it, when you
get into your car, did you have that feeling inside? Like,
you know how sometimes you get those butterfly feelings inside
where you're just like, that was really good. That was
a good day.
Speaker 50 (01:36:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 54 (01:36:34):
I thought he was really cute and, um, I thought
he respected.
Speaker 9 (01:36:40):
What I had to say.
Speaker 12 (01:36:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
Uh, but that was, but then he didn't call it.
All right.
Speaker 42 (01:36:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:36:47):
Katie, say hello to Colin.
Speaker 39 (01:36:52):
Hi.
Speaker 14 (01:36:53):
Oh, hi.
Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
Colin, is everything okay? Are you okay? Please tell us
that you've been in the hospital or something.
Speaker 17 (01:37:01):
No, I'm okay.
Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
You're okay?
Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
What's the deal?
Speaker 17 (01:37:06):
I mean, nothing really.
Speaker 12 (01:37:12):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:37:15):
Well, there's obviously something that you did not like and
therefore have not reached back out to her.
Speaker 1 (01:37:23):
Well, I think we just have a different interest and
values and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (01:37:32):
Like what? What was said that didn't align with you?
Speaker 1 (01:37:36):
Well, she told me that she wants to wait Before
Wayne just gets married, you know, before we have sex.
Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
And you got a problem with that? You're not into that?
Speaker 21 (01:37:55):
Well, you know, you need to test the car, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:38:01):
Don't say it like that. You got to test the car.
I don't think it's a problem, though. What do you mean?
Speaker 10 (01:38:08):
Well, no, Mojo said, and you have a problem with that.
I don't think that's the right way to phrase it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
What is it, then? It just doesn't align with where
he's at in his life.
Speaker 40 (01:38:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:38:17):
Okay.
Speaker 34 (01:38:18):
Yeah, it's like, I mean, like, if we're not intimate,
how am.
Speaker 21 (01:38:24):
I supposed to fall in love with you?
Speaker 23 (01:38:26):
So it's not even that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
Okay, well, that's a crazy thing to say, but.
Speaker 2 (01:38:29):
That was a little.
Speaker 12 (01:38:30):
Crazy.
Speaker 45 (01:38:30):
It's not even that you were just trying to hook up, like,
the first night. You're just saying, in general, before you
get married, you would like.
Speaker 9 (01:38:36):
To do that.
Speaker 24 (01:38:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:38:39):
Yeah, of course.
Speaker 21 (01:38:39):
I see that. We did not.
Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
Yeah, first night is okay. It's not like I need
to hook up with somebody first night.
Speaker 21 (01:38:45):
But ever? Like, what if we don't get married for
two years, three years?
Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
Like, what? Katie, if you don't mind me asking, Katie,
and if it's out of line, just say, I don't
want to answer. Are you a virgin?
Speaker 15 (01:38:56):
Um, yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:39:01):
And he seemed like he was okay with that.
Speaker 2 (01:39:05):
How old are you? How old are you, Katie?
Speaker 11 (01:39:09):
22.
Speaker 22 (01:39:11):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:39:12):
Katie, are you able or willing to do other things?
Speaker 10 (01:39:16):
Or is, you know, no form of sexual contact allowed
until marriage?
Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
She was kissing in the car. You know what I'm
talking about, though.
Speaker 22 (01:39:24):
I don't want to answer that on the radio, but,
you know... Colin, you seem like you really respected my
boundaries on the car, and I'm just kind of shocked
that this wouldn't.
Speaker 21 (01:39:40):
Be okay for you. I mean, I do respect your boundaries.
Speaker 1 (01:39:45):
I'm not a jerk, and that's why I didn't do
anything more than kiss, because that's what you wanted to do,
but I'm not gonna not get intimate with somebody after
dating with them, like, until marriage. Like, I don't even
know if I want to get married anytime soon, so it's.
Speaker 21 (01:40:04):
A big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
I get what you're saying, Colin, and I completely respect
and understand what she's doing. You just don't go together.
Speaker 2 (01:40:12):
Yeah, you guys aren't going to be a match.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
And that's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
I'd like to ask listeners this question, though. I'd like
to ask listeners... Do you think that you could either
do what Katie is doing or do you think you
are more like Colin? Because this is interesting, the idea
that he's like, I want to make sure that I
have sex with somebody before I decide I'm going to
(01:40:39):
have a long-time relationship. I think Katie's circumstances, seeing that
she is a virgin, I think that, you know what?
I think as a guy, you've got to also respect that. Like,
if the girl all of a sudden says to you,
you know, hey, we're not having sex before we get married, well,
(01:41:02):
are you having sex with anybody else? Like, I want
to know what the story would be. It's not like
Katie's going out and having sex with other people but
not having sex with Connor.
Speaker 3 (01:41:10):
Well, that wouldn't even make sense.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
Well, sometimes it could. You never know. There's some guy
versions out here, too, though. Yeah? Are there any?
Speaker 9 (01:41:18):
Call us.
Speaker 2 (01:41:18):
I want to hear. I mean, we was out drinking
with one a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 28 (01:41:22):
Really?
Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:41:23):
When?
Speaker 2 (01:41:23):
I wasn't there. He was with the girl that you
met on the airplane. It was a part of that group. Oh, okay.
What's up, Aaron?
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
He's never had sex ever.
Speaker 2 (01:41:32):
Hey, Aaron. Good morning, everybody. Good morning. What's going on?
Thoughts on this one?
Speaker 47 (01:41:37):
This guy's a mess, and if he can't respect her boundaries,
she just needs to let go and go find somebody
that will respect her boundaries.
Speaker 2 (01:41:45):
Aaron, Colin can hear you right now. Colin, Aaron says
you're a mess.
Speaker 21 (01:41:52):
Well, he doesn't know me, so.
Speaker 9 (01:41:54):
It sounded like he did respect... Why do you say
he's a mess? Yeah, he did.
Speaker 21 (01:41:58):
Why am I a mess?
Speaker 1 (01:41:59):
Because I don't... I want to have interrelationships with my girlfriend, like,
after dating her, even before marriage.
Speaker 21 (01:42:06):
Like, that's not being a mess. I don't know what
you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 47 (01:42:09):
No, but you're trying to put her as a new vehicle.
Speaker 12 (01:42:12):
You can't do that.
Speaker 47 (01:42:14):
Those are two different topics.
Speaker 2 (01:42:15):
Yeah, that comment was wild. I agree with that one.
Speaker 54 (01:42:17):
He did say I was like a car, Colin.
Speaker 33 (01:42:20):
Like, I'm a little.
Speaker 22 (01:42:22):
I thought.
Speaker 2 (01:42:23):
If you're a car, you're a Ferrari.
Speaker 21 (01:42:26):
I'm just using that as an example. Would you buy
a car without trying it?
Speaker 3 (01:42:31):
That's what people say.
Speaker 21 (01:42:32):
It was just an example.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
I didn't call you a car. What's going on, Chris?
Speaker 12 (01:42:38):
Hey, guys.
Speaker 51 (01:42:39):
I just feel like with society today and the way
that relationships are, there's such blurred lines in so many
different areas where... Not much is sacred for men and
women in the relationship anymore. And for her to set
these boundaries and to stand on it, I think that's
(01:42:59):
really admirable. And it's his loss in the end.
Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
So good for her. Okay.
Speaker 14 (01:43:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
Another Chris on the phone with us right now. What's up, Chris?
Speaker 12 (01:43:11):
I was wondering if Katie wanted to go out. I'm 22.
I don't care about any intimate, you know, anything like that.
Speaker 9 (01:43:17):
Whoa. You a virgin?
Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
You a virgin?
Speaker 12 (01:43:21):
I'm a college student.
Speaker 24 (01:43:22):
You know.
Speaker 12 (01:43:22):
I don't really care about any of that.
Speaker 2 (01:43:24):
Where do you go to school, Chris? Not a virgin.
Speaker 12 (01:43:27):
Macomb Community College.
Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
I like it. And Chris, maybe, hold on one second. Katie,
do you need for your partner to be a virgin also? Yeah. No,
that's not.
Speaker 22 (01:43:41):
I mean, as long as our relationship is that safe space,
you know, where we're waiting for each other, I'm cool
with that.
Speaker 2 (01:43:49):
Okay.
Speaker 24 (01:43:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
Hey, Fran.
Speaker 9 (01:43:52):
Yeah, I mean, I'd be.
Speaker 12 (01:43:54):
You'd be okay.
Speaker 53 (01:43:54):
I'll get.
Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
I'll get Chris's number. What's up, Fran?
Speaker 21 (01:43:59):
Hi. I just had a comment.
Speaker 25 (01:44:02):
I think it's really wild for him to say he's
not going to fall in love with her unless he
has sex with her.
Speaker 2 (01:44:07):
Like.
Speaker 25 (01:44:07):
She's been saving it for 22 years. Who do you
think you are.
Speaker 22 (01:44:10):
That she's just going to give it to you after
the first date?
Speaker 9 (01:44:12):
Like, that's wild.
Speaker 21 (01:44:14):
Excuse me. I didn't say, I didn't say fall in love.
I said, and I didn't say sleep on his first date.
Speaker 25 (01:44:21):
She said, how do you think I'm going to fall
in love with you if you won't be intimate?
Speaker 21 (01:44:25):
How do you become intimate with somebody?
Speaker 25 (01:44:27):
Sex is not the only form of intimacy. That's not
the only.
Speaker 22 (01:44:29):
Form of intimacy.
Speaker 18 (01:44:31):
It's part of it.
Speaker 21 (01:44:32):
There's so much more.
Speaker 23 (01:44:34):
Part of it, but it's not the only part.
Speaker 25 (01:44:36):
And if that's the most important part, then you just, girl, run.
Speaker 26 (01:44:41):
Run.
Speaker 20 (01:44:42):
Thanks, girl.
Speaker 2 (01:44:44):
Angie, what's up, Angie?
Speaker 12 (01:44:46):
Angie?
Speaker 26 (01:44:48):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:44:49):
Good morning. What's going on? Second date update.
Speaker 11 (01:44:53):
Yeah, I have to have sex before marriage.
Speaker 38 (01:44:59):
What about if the.
Speaker 13 (01:44:59):
Partner is bad in bed?
Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:45:03):
And you marry them and then you're like stuck. And yeah, no,
I'll pass.
Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
Angie, you may be the woman for Colin. I don't
know if there's an age difference here. Colin, what do
you think? You and Angie, you guys. I mean. Take
it for a drive.
Speaker 9 (01:45:21):
I just like the support.
Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
The support is great.
Speaker 21 (01:45:23):
The support is great.
Speaker 12 (01:45:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:45:25):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 21 (01:45:27):
Somebody is understanding that.
Speaker 12 (01:45:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (01:45:30):
Everyone else is thinking it, but they're just not saying it.
Speaker 2 (01:45:32):
I love it.
Speaker 12 (01:45:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
All right. Hold on a second. I got a voice
disguised D. D, you're being voice disguised. Initial D. What's up, guys?
Speaker 21 (01:45:41):
How we doing? Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
Why do you want to be voice disguised?
Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
I don't want, like.
Speaker 49 (01:45:47):
My friend to hear me say this, but we're all very, like,
my entire friend group is very disappointed in him because
he's dating a girl who's, like, Katie's cool.
Speaker 33 (01:45:58):
Katie's young.
Speaker 49 (01:45:59):
She's 22 years old. She's a virgin. I respect that.
We should all respect that, right? But my friend is
dating a girl who, I guess, we just found out.
It's been, like, four or five months. We were golfing,
and we're like, so how is it? You know, just
guy talk. And he's like, oh, we haven't yet. She's
waiting for marriage. But we all know this girl, and
(01:46:21):
we all know that, like, she was a super HOE. Like,
she's got 30, 40 bodies on her, but now she's
making my boy wait till marriage.
Speaker 33 (01:46:32):
That doesn't feel right.
Speaker 23 (01:46:33):
She's a born again.
Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
Are you sure that she's not? Is she born again,
or is she just lying about it?
Speaker 33 (01:46:41):
It had nothing to do with the religion.
Speaker 12 (01:46:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 33 (01:46:44):
He didn't really go into detail because I feel like
he kind of felt.
Speaker 49 (01:46:47):
A little embarrassed because we all know the situation, but
we're also like.
Speaker 2 (01:46:51):
Does he know now that she's been with other girls
or been with other guys? People can change, though. Yeah,
but is it that she changed or that she's just
lying to him about.
Speaker 36 (01:47:05):
Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 33 (01:47:06):
How would you feel, Kev, if the girl was like, I.
Speaker 44 (01:47:10):
Changed, Kev.
Speaker 33 (01:47:11):
I'm sorry. You're not going to get none now.
Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
I would be understanding of it.
Speaker 10 (01:47:15):
I'm not sure if I would continue to pursue her
in that way if that's all that I wanted. But
I know girls who used to live a certain type
of lifestyle, and now they don't want to live that
young lifestyle in that way anymore, and they're completely different women.
Speaker 2 (01:47:30):
And they're allowed to evolve. Absolutely. I think a lot
of times when they do that, they do it because
they want to find the right person, not just some
guy to have sex with. Yeah, they done getting ran through.
All right, let's go back to Colin. Colin, best of
luck to you, my friend.
Speaker 21 (01:47:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 17 (01:47:47):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
All right, hold on. Katie, best of luck to you.
You sound great, and I'm going to get you Chris's number, okay?
Speaker 22 (01:47:53):
Okay, thank you, guys.
Speaker 2 (01:47:55):
Appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (01:47:56):
Your home of War.
Speaker 18 (01:47:57):
Of the Roses.
Speaker 28 (01:47:58):
The five lies to tell your mom phone scams. And
Shannon's dirty on the 30. This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (01:48:05):
All right. Mojo's secret sound. What's this sound?
Speaker 17 (01:48:11):
844-MOJO-LIVE.
Speaker 6 (01:48:14):
844-665-6548.
Speaker 18 (01:48:14):
95th caller.
Speaker 2 (01:48:20):
Guess that sound? You could be winning your share of
$ 20, 000 from DFCU Financial, the cashback credit unit. 20 years
of giving cashback to its members. And if you hear
my voice, you could be a DFCU member. All you
got to do is go to dfcufinancial.com.
Speaker 18 (01:48:40):
The morning's Dirty on the 30.
Speaker 10 (01:48:41):
All right, before the dirty, Shannon has given me the
opportunity to say happy anniversary to my two best friends,
Jonathan Galloway, Tressa Galloway.
Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
Nine year anniversary. Beautiful wedding, beautiful children. Happy anniversary. I've
never heard his name.
Speaker 3 (01:49:01):
Happy anniversary.
Speaker 2 (01:49:04):
I'm glad that you remembered that because you forgot a
birthday just recently. Whose birthday? You had a birth. Remember,
you were going to wish a happy birthday to a
friend recently. Wasn't it Gerard's birthday? Yeah, Gerard Brandy. And
you did not. I didn't? Yeah, you didn't wish the birthday.
And you had to come back in and do another one.
Why do you save it for the dirties on the 30s?
Because I feel like that's like breaking news. Because what
(01:49:26):
else am I supposed to do it? You can do
it at any time. You could have done it in
the middle of us talking to the, you know, second
date update people. That one's not here. What's going on, Shannon?
Speaker 3 (01:49:36):
You can continue to do it in the dirties.
Speaker 34 (01:49:37):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:49:38):
If you are following this case, the Lindsey Clancy jury
is deadlocked.
Speaker 55 (01:49:45):
After many hours of deliberation, we are unable to come
to a unanimous decision. I brought you back out because
I know that this was a long trial.
Speaker 12 (01:49:56):
All right.
Speaker 55 (01:49:57):
I know there were over 80 witnesses.
Speaker 2 (01:49:59):
There were over 300 exhibits.
Speaker 55 (01:50:02):
And but because of that, I'm going to ask you
to go back out, keeping in mind all the instructions
that I gave you to go out and to continue
your deliberations at this time.
Speaker 12 (01:50:16):
All right.
Speaker 55 (01:50:17):
And so with that, I'm going to ask you to
go back out. Like I said, keep in mind the
instructions I gave you, reviewing the evidence, and I'd ask
you to resume your deliberations.
Speaker 3 (01:50:27):
He really does not want to mistrial here. So deliberations
will continue into today, which is day number five for
them deliberating.
Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
By the way, this is not a long time. The
case of that Boston woman, remember, that was accused of
killing her cop husband? What's her name?
Speaker 3 (01:50:44):
Oh, Reed. Kara Reed.
Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
Kara Reed. And all his friends killed him. So that
one went well past this. And that one did go mistrial.
And then they retried it. And then that was when
she was found not responsible.
Speaker 12 (01:50:58):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
Do y'all like this?
Speaker 6 (01:50:59):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:51:00):
Do y'all like the fact the judge made them go
back in? I think that they might be fatigued. This
was a long trial.
Speaker 3 (01:51:06):
There was a lot of evidence, a lot of people
to hear.
Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
So I think that there is a there is a
point where your civic duties are up.
Speaker 10 (01:51:16):
And I'm saying if the judge tell us, no, y'all
go back inside, finish your homework.
Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
Do people just switch just to get it over with?
I'd love to ask, like, a friend of ours, Vicky Valentine, judge, like,
is there a time where you just sit there and say, hey,
you've served your duty, you know? I don't know if
I'm getting.
Speaker 10 (01:51:35):
The true, honest representation of the juror's thoughts at that point.
If I'm done with it, and I know that if
I just flip now, we can get out of here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
But a case like this that is so huge and
so important, and I think it's going to, set a
precedence when it comes to specifically women's mental health, postpartum health.
Speaker 21 (01:51:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:51:55):
I mean, did you hear the story about how some
of the jurors, there were one or two that came
wearing pink yesterday, and a lot of people were like, okay,
that is a sign of standing with her.
Speaker 2 (01:52:06):
Remember, it could be just one juror. It's got to
be unanimous. Can I correct something? Yesterday, I was watching
a special on this, and they brought up something that
we've been talking about throughout this whole thing. We said, oh,
she admitted to this. She said that she did this.
In the special that I watched, she said she didn't
do it a couple of times, and then she was
(01:52:28):
told to plead guilty, and that's when she started pleading guilty.
So there is the thought that she has admitted that
she was guilty. She doesn't know what happened. She woke
up paralyzed on her front lawn, and they said to her,
you actually killed these people. She doesn't remember anything that happened. Remember,
she was allegedly drugged. So I think that's an interesting thought.
(01:52:53):
As a juror, I would sit there and go, well,
she kind of is being forced into saying that.
Speaker 24 (01:52:57):
She did this.
Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
I don't know if that's true. I'm sorry. I watched
this legal analyst special that was on one of the
news networks last night.
Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
Can I ask a question?
Speaker 12 (01:53:07):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:53:07):
What does a mistrial mean?
Speaker 2 (01:53:09):
I don't really know what that means. A mistrial means
that they don't have a verdict. They don't have a
guaranteed verdict in it.
Speaker 9 (01:53:16):
So then what would they do?
Speaker 3 (01:53:17):
They can retry. And actually, Lindsay Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington,
was talking about that yesterday.
Speaker 28 (01:53:23):
Do you think that your client is emotionally prepared to
do it again?
Speaker 24 (01:53:27):
No.
Speaker 18 (01:53:28):
You don't think she is?
Speaker 12 (01:53:29):
No.
Speaker 53 (01:53:29):
Would you do anything different in the second trial if
you have a second trial?
Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
I don't know. I'll think about it.
Speaker 12 (01:53:36):
Don't know.
Speaker 18 (01:53:36):
Would you put her husband into.
Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
It at all more?
Speaker 12 (01:53:39):
I'll think about it.
Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
The DA offered a plea deal at this point. Would
you consider it?
Speaker 12 (01:53:45):
Ask Mr.
Speaker 2 (01:53:46):
Cruz if he'd offer one.
Speaker 12 (01:53:47):
That's the only thing I can tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:53:48):
Because I have no control over it. I love that guy,
by the way. He's a great attorney.
Speaker 3 (01:53:53):
So we'll see what happens today. Last night, Ariana Grande
breaking down in tears while saying goodbye to fans at
the final show of her 41-day Eternal Sunshine tour ahead
of her planned break from the spotlight.
Speaker 2 (01:54:07):
This is it for her? She's no longer going to tour?
Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Well, for a little bit. She just said she's taking
a break. This was at O2 Arena in London, by
the way. Her 10th London show. And again, she's saying
it has nothing to do with her weight, her health.
She just needs a break. She's been working. I just
wanted to say thank you so much. This has been
(01:54:31):
such an extraordinary experience.
Speaker 40 (01:54:36):
Thank you for 10 beautiful London shows and for 41
incredible Eternal Sunshine tour shows.
Speaker 49 (01:54:41):
This has been.
Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
By the way, I changed the lyrics of Thank U,
Next to be about her boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, and kind
of alluded by doing so that he is her forever.
Not again on him. That's what's up. I told you
this was going to happen, and it did. Yesterday, Miley
Cyrus announcing she is going to be dropping her 10th
studio album on September 18th. She shared that news on Instagram, writing,
(01:55:30):
My 10th studio album... Bass Persuades is your September 18th.
We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let
it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet
and strong. I sincerely hope you love this album. She
also announced two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October.
And Dyson, they've got vacuums, hair dryers, the famous air wrap.
(01:55:54):
And now... The company is expanding into the toothbrush game
with a smart toothbrush that uses a built-in camera and
a liquid jet to clean between your teeth at the
price tag. $ 499. It's called the camera jet. It launched yesterday.
It uses a 100,000 pixel camera and AI to identify
(01:56:18):
gaps between your teeth. And it automatically like squirts mouthwash.
Speaker 2 (01:56:22):
Wow. So you watch this on your phone for my
birthday and Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
You watch it on your phone. You connect the toothbrush
to the my Dyson app for live camera viewing, cleaning guidance,
coverage maps. And feedback on your brushing technique.
Speaker 2 (01:56:35):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
But 500 bucks is the price tag on that thing.
Speaker 2 (01:56:38):
I'd like a bidet like that, please. To do what?
Speaker 3 (01:56:41):
Show you the spots you missed.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:56:44):
You want to look at your butthole on your phone.
Speaker 2 (01:56:46):
I don't want to. No, I want it to look
at my butthole. I want it to be there. I
want to make sure I'm clean. Shannon, I got to
be honest with you. I might have a cleanest booty
in this studio.
Speaker 18 (01:56:56):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:56:57):
Miss anything from today? It's been riveting.
Speaker 12 (01:57:00):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:57:00):
You can go back and catch up on the podcast
on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
I'm making you guys wait to hear what the guess
is and will we get a winner in Secret Sound.
Speaker 12 (01:57:08):
Go.
Speaker 18 (01:57:08):
Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source.
Speaker 28 (01:57:13):
It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.
Speaker 18 (01:57:17):
How good a liar are you? Five lies to tell
your mama.
Speaker 28 (01:57:22):
Five lies to tell your mama's coming up next on
Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (01:57:28):
All right. I made you wait. Made you wait. Mojo's
Secret Sound is on now.
Speaker 12 (01:57:36):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
We solicited right after, I guess we were a little late.
It was 835 or so, 840 when we solicited for
Mojo's Secret Sound. But I want to make you wait
through some commercials to see if we got a winner
or we're getting closer to a winner. It's all brought
to you by DFCU Financial. Jen has been patient in
the car, I believe. Right, Jen? Are you in the car?
Speaker 12 (01:57:59):
I am.
Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
What's up, Jen? Where are you right now? Look outside
and tell me what street you're by.
Speaker 26 (01:58:04):
I am by 12 Mile Road.
Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
Okay, where are you heading to?
Speaker 11 (01:58:12):
I just dropped my kid off at school.
Speaker 2 (01:58:13):
I like it.
Speaker 9 (01:58:14):
And where do they go?
Speaker 44 (01:58:15):
The freezer.
Speaker 2 (01:58:18):
Okay. Let's get ourselves acquainted here right now, and let's
get you some money. So you are a mom, and
I'm assuming... that you're going to use this money to
buy your kids all the crap that they need.
Speaker 19 (01:58:31):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (01:58:33):
You know what? You got to do something for yourself, too, though.
Speaker 22 (01:58:39):
Maybe you might find something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:58:41):
Okay, good.
Speaker 3 (01:58:41):
You need to.
Speaker 2 (01:58:42):
Well, here you go. It's Mojo's Secret Sound in the
contest that we love to play with DFCU Financial. Jen's like,
enough of the small talk. Get me some money. $ 5, 000
is up for grabs this week as we kick off
Secret Sound again. We've got an account at DFCU Financial
that right now has $ 20, 000 in it. If you win,
(01:59:08):
you'll get five, and then we'll add another sound in,
and we'll do another sound for five. If you lose,
and by the end of the week we don't get
a winner, we'll add a couple of thousand dollars, go
to $ 7, 000 for next week, and then keep adding along
the way.
Speaker 12 (01:59:22):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
For $ 5, 000 is Mojo's secret sound.
Speaker 30 (01:59:27):
I think it is Kev's truck starting.
Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
Wouldn't that be crazy if that's what it was and
you didn't even know?
Speaker 2 (01:59:34):
That would be insane. That would be insane. So you
think that we went out and we took audio of
Kevin's What do you drive, Kevin? An F-150 from Zott
Ford in Holly. Does it sound like that? Kevin's F-150
(01:59:55):
from Zott Ford in Holly, Michigan. Dealsinthed.com. That's right.
Speaker 1 (02:00:03):
I do.
Speaker 2 (02:00:03):
And you think that that is Kevin's vehicle starting?
Speaker 12 (02:00:10):
Yes. Wrong. Wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:00:12):
That would have been crazy. Wrong answer. His mind was blown.
Speaker 21 (02:00:17):
Bro, blown.
Speaker 2 (02:00:18):
Actually, would you like to hear what Kevin's vehicle sounds like?
We're going to go start it right now. Yeah. Hold on. Vroom. Oh,
my God. You mess with the mafia. That's the, that's
(02:00:40):
the Eastern market mafia coming after you, Kevin. Go killers.
Bad story. You ever, by the way, you see those
movies where they're like, can you go start my car
for me? Absolutely. Oh my. Would you ever do that
for somebody? If somebody thought that they were not just
remote starting.
Speaker 24 (02:00:56):
Zach.
Speaker 2 (02:00:57):
Um, Jen, it's not the right answer, but unfortunately, I
can't give you a qualifying prize because we'd have to
give away a lot of those. We got another chance
to win in 30 minutes, though. Will you play again
in 30 minutes?
Speaker 43 (02:01:11):
I certainly will.
Speaker 2 (02:01:12):
Love you for listening, Jen. Thanks so much, Mom.
Speaker 8 (02:01:16):
WKQI Detroit, WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids, WVKS Toledo, and iHeart
Radio Station.
Speaker 2 (02:01:23):
Guaranteed humans.
Speaker 18 (02:01:25):
Real stories.
Speaker 2 (02:01:26):
Real laughs.
Speaker 18 (02:01:28):
Real dog.
Speaker 2 (02:01:30):
Mojo in the morning. Live. I've got so much I
want to talk about this hour on the show. A
lot of good topics that are still up for grabs.
I've got a couple of good ones coming up here next,
including no vaping in my house. It could lead to
a divorce. And I want to bring up, and maybe
(02:01:50):
I'll do this next, I want to bring up the
story that is has gone pretty viral over the last
few days. And we haven't had an opportunity to talk
about it. Men are skipping showers before dates. Some men
are skipping showers before dates, embracing a new trend called
(02:02:14):
pheromone maxing. So they're not showering. They want to smell,
I guess. So I want to talk about that with
you guys. Can we do that right after five lies?
Speaker 6 (02:02:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:02:23):
All right. Let's do the five lies. Tell your mom
phone scam. Do you have somebody for five lies or
do you need me to solicit again for somebody for
next five lies? Uh, Bianca.
Speaker 14 (02:02:36):
Lid.
Speaker 2 (02:02:37):
Bianca. Are you there?
Speaker 14 (02:02:39):
Bianca?
Speaker 24 (02:02:39):
Sorry.
Speaker 23 (02:02:40):
Siri's talking to her.
Speaker 2 (02:02:41):
Oh, what's up? Why is Siri in there? What is
she doing? What are you, what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (02:02:48):
Oh my God.
Speaker 12 (02:02:49):
Siri.
Speaker 2 (02:02:51):
Do we have somebody for Five Lies or do I
need to solicit again? No, I got someone.
Speaker 3 (02:02:54):
We're good.
Speaker 2 (02:02:54):
All right, good. All right, here we go. Five Lies,
tell your mom.
Speaker 18 (02:02:58):
It's Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 12 (02:02:59):
Sweet.
Speaker 18 (02:03:02):
Five Lies to tell your mom.
Speaker 2 (02:03:04):
Tabitha, ready for Five Lies to tell your mom?
Speaker 12 (02:03:08):
You know it.
Speaker 33 (02:03:10):
I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (02:03:11):
We're going to phone scam her this morning with Five
Lies and Bianca. What are we doing?
Speaker 42 (02:03:16):
All right, so we're going to pretend that Tabitha got
pulled over when she told the cop that her mom
fell over and she's going to help her mom. So
we're going to have her mom put on a little
performance to help Tabitha get out of this mess.
Speaker 3 (02:03:26):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (02:03:28):
You think your mom would lie for you?
Speaker 23 (02:03:29):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 15 (02:03:32):
And I cannot have any points on my record because
I drive for a living, so she's not going to
let me get any tickets, you know?
Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 20 (02:03:43):
I think he'll do it.
Speaker 2 (02:03:44):
Here are the five lies that listeners have to make
sure that you listen for all five of these so
that we can get a prize for Tabitha's mom. Lie
number one, you're going to say, Mom, I got pulled
over for speeding. Lie number two.
Speaker 3 (02:03:56):
I told him that you fell and I'm going to
help you.
Speaker 2 (02:04:00):
Lie number three. I need you to pretend to fall
in the shower. Lie number four.
Speaker 23 (02:04:07):
So take off your clothes and turn on the water.
Speaker 2 (02:04:10):
Oh, my God. And lie number five, you need to
stay there until the cops come. You ready?
Speaker 11 (02:04:18):
I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (02:04:19):
We're calling your mom up for five lies to tell
your mom. Speak up nice and loud.
Speaker 7 (02:04:24):
Okay.
Speaker 17 (02:04:37):
Mom?
Speaker 12 (02:04:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (02:04:39):
Turn the TV down.
Speaker 40 (02:04:41):
I need you to hear me.
Speaker 12 (02:04:46):
What?
Speaker 36 (02:04:47):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 15 (02:04:48):
Do you have your hearing aids in?
Speaker 43 (02:04:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 39 (02:04:55):
What's going on?
Speaker 38 (02:04:55):
I got a situation.
Speaker 39 (02:04:58):
What kind of situation?
Speaker 23 (02:05:00):
I got pulled over.
Speaker 12 (02:05:03):
Oh, God.
Speaker 39 (02:05:05):
I got pulled over.
Speaker 38 (02:05:07):
I got pulled over speeding, Mom.
Speaker 32 (02:05:09):
So, like, I'm heading your way. They're following me.
Speaker 38 (02:05:16):
I told them that you fell.
Speaker 23 (02:05:17):
You're going to have to help.
Speaker 32 (02:05:18):
Me, Mom.
Speaker 17 (02:05:19):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 39 (02:05:21):
I told them I fell and you're on your way. Mom,
go and.
Speaker 40 (02:05:26):
Yes, I told them you fell.
Speaker 7 (02:05:27):
You.
Speaker 36 (02:05:32):
Mom, I was on my way towards your house.
Speaker 38 (02:05:35):
I knew that I could have you at least cover me.
Speaker 32 (02:05:38):
So I need you to go into the bathroom and
act like you fell in the shower.
Speaker 38 (02:05:44):
Like, turn the water on, lay on the floor.
Speaker 17 (02:05:46):
Take your clothes off.
Speaker 39 (02:05:49):
I can't do that.
Speaker 36 (02:05:51):
Take your clothes off, Mom.
Speaker 39 (02:05:54):
I got dare in the arm.
Speaker 38 (02:05:59):
So tell Darren to go hide somewhere.
Speaker 32 (02:06:01):
In the basement or something and go lay down.
Speaker 38 (02:06:05):
At least lay down on the floor with your clothes on.
Keep the water on.
Speaker 35 (02:06:08):
I'm coming, Mom.
Speaker 38 (02:06:09):
The dogs are on their way.
Speaker 39 (02:06:11):
Mom. You're going to get busted because I have Darren here.
Speaker 9 (02:06:16):
Mom, tell Darren.
Speaker 33 (02:06:17):
They're going to know you're.
Speaker 40 (02:06:19):
Going to be lying.
Speaker 38 (02:06:21):
Go tell Darren to go downstairs.
Speaker 39 (02:06:24):
To the basement.
Speaker 38 (02:06:26):
Mom, go lay down on the floor and get me
out of this ticket.
Speaker 39 (02:06:30):
Tabitha, look, I love you so much, and I would
do anything, but I am not doing that.
Speaker 2 (02:06:37):
Hi, is this Tabitha's mom?
Speaker 18 (02:06:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:06:41):
Hi, how you doing? I'm the police officer that pulled
over your daughter. She said that she was racing home
to help you. You're on the floor right now?
Speaker 39 (02:06:51):
Mom, yeah, I... Yeah, I'm waiting for my boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (02:06:59):
To get here. Wait a second. She tried to explain
it to me. Can you tell me where you are
right now just to try to verify her story?
Speaker 21 (02:07:06):
Oh, I'm in the.
Speaker 39 (02:07:08):
Bathroom right now laying on the floor.
Speaker 12 (02:07:11):
You are?
Speaker 2 (02:07:11):
Okay, you fell. Are you okay? Do you need us
to call 911? Oh, no.
Speaker 39 (02:07:15):
My boyfriend just ran up to the store. He should
be here any time.
Speaker 40 (02:07:21):
I called her and she wasn't She was trying to
rush here.
Speaker 39 (02:07:26):
And then my boyfriend went to a grocery store. So
I was just trying to get some, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:07:33):
Okay. But I'm okay. So your daughter is telling us
the truth that you fell in the shower and she's
trying to just get home to help you.
Speaker 7 (02:07:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:07:44):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (02:07:44):
Great.
Speaker 2 (02:07:46):
Tabitha, should we tell your mom? Yes, please.
Speaker 11 (02:07:48):
Hey, mom.
Speaker 2 (02:07:55):
This is the mojo in the morning show and Tabitha
had you on the five live to Tell Your Mom
phone scam.
Speaker 3 (02:08:01):
Wow.
Speaker 38 (02:08:07):
I knew you would get me out of it, though, Mom.
Speaker 2 (02:08:11):
Mom, you did good. Your daughter is okay. She did
not get pulled over. She was just... phone scamming you
just to have some fun.
Speaker 39 (02:08:21):
By the way, do you have a TV in the
shower with you?
Speaker 9 (02:08:25):
What is going on?
Speaker 2 (02:08:27):
What are you watching?
Speaker 32 (02:08:41):
She's tough.
Speaker 27 (02:08:45):
Everything's got to be.
Speaker 38 (02:08:46):
Loud around her.
Speaker 2 (02:08:47):
Oh, my God. What is it that you're watching right now, huh?
Speaker 17 (02:08:52):
All right.
Speaker 22 (02:08:52):
I'll talk to you later, Tam.
Speaker 38 (02:08:55):
She doesn't even want to finish the conversation.
Speaker 18 (02:08:59):
It's Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 23 (02:09:00):
Sweet.
Speaker 18 (02:09:03):
Five lies to tell your mom.
Speaker 46 (02:09:07):
All right, here's the deal.
Speaker 2 (02:09:18):

Speaker 3 (02:10:04):
I will be watching the live of Benson Boone and
the Goo Goo Dolls.
Speaker 2 (02:10:08):
You know what this feels like?
Speaker 10 (02:10:10):
Feels like when your company throws a holiday party and
you don't get invited.
Speaker 2 (02:10:15):
That's what it does. That's what it feels like. I know.
The Breakfast Club will be there. So, hey, text Vegas

Speaker 18 (02:10:25):
You'll get a text confirming entry, plus iHeartRadio info. Standard
data and message rate supply.
Speaker 2 (02:10:35):
We come back here next. Do you like when your
men smell hot and sweaty? Like, do you like the
smell of a sweaty dude? This is the new thing
that guys are doing to pick up girls. I want
to discuss that. I want to find out if there
are any guys that are currently doing this or any
(02:10:56):
women that are into this. We'll come back with that
and more, including Secret Sound next.
Speaker 28 (02:11:01):
We have Mojo in his ornery middle-aged man era. Shannon
in her 80-year-old grandma who loves plants era. Anna in
her dating era. And Kevin in his slappin' asses era.
This is Mojo in the Morning. Yeah, we're not just
on the radio or the iHeartRadio app. We're also streamed
(02:11:22):
every single morning.
Speaker 18 (02:11:23):
Facebook, YouTube.
Speaker 28 (02:11:25):
It stays up there, too, on both. You can watch
the show or see what we do in the studio online.
Speaker 2 (02:11:45):
Then, of course, TikTok and more. Good to have you
guys here with us. So I wanted to talk about
this like all week long. And I saw it over
the weekend on Instagram. There is a new trend that
guys are doing where they're skipping showers before they go
on dates. They're not going on the date all nice
(02:12:07):
and clean and smelling like they, you know, put on
some cologne and stuff. They're doing something called pheromone maxing.
It's a viral TikTok trend, of course it is, that
primarily is associated with teen boys and younger men that
involves them skipping showers and deodorant before a date. Some
(02:12:30):
proponents reportedly go as far as wearing unwashed shirts.
Speaker 3 (02:12:35):
And Or drinking their pee.
Speaker 2 (02:12:37):
Or drinking their own urine.
Speaker 12 (02:12:38):
Stop, man.
Speaker 2 (02:12:39):
That's what it says.
Speaker 3 (02:12:40):
Yeah, because then you sweat out all like the yuck,
the toxins and stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:12:43):
Did you die from that?
Speaker 22 (02:12:44):
No.
Speaker 2 (02:12:44):
It's sterile and I like the taste.
Speaker 12 (02:12:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:12:46):
Would you drink your own pee?
Speaker 3 (02:12:47):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 53 (02:12:48):
I know.
Speaker 23 (02:12:48):
It sounds like he's trying it.
Speaker 2 (02:12:49):
That's from Dodge Boy. Because it's sterile and I like
the taste. By the way, the drinking pee guys are
the guys that also probably taste other stuff. I don't
get it. Have you ever tasted that?
Speaker 23 (02:13:02):
They're bodily fluids.
Speaker 2 (02:13:03):
I went to school with a guy that we used
to call him semen. And it was because he admitted
to a friend of his that he tried it. The
theory behind the pheromone maxine is that the stronger that
a man's natural musk is, the more sexually attractive he
(02:13:25):
is to a woman. What do you think about that?
Speaker 3 (02:13:27):
Okay, but if I go on a date, And he
smells like B.O. I'm going to think that he doesn't
take care of himself. I'm actually very attracted to guys
who smell good. Me too. That goes in the bucket of, ooh,
something I like about him. He smells great.
Speaker 2 (02:13:44):
What do you consider good, though? Cologne, laundry detergent. Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:13:49):
Yeah, clean.
Speaker 2 (02:13:50):
It sounds like they're lazy. Yeah.
Speaker 23 (02:13:52):
And they don't want to shower.
Speaker 2 (02:13:55):
They say there's scientific evidence behind this whole thing. I mean.
Speaker 10 (02:14:00):
I've read this or heard of this before, that the
cologne that you all love, this BO, is the natural
version of that. And there is something inside of you
as a woman where your brain goes off, where you
pick up this natural scent of a man, and I
don't know, it gets y'all hot and wet.
Speaker 2 (02:14:22):
There are some women that, honestly, and I agree with you, Kevin,
there are some women, though, that look at the guy
who's the construction worker guy that's like in a wife,
you know, do they still call him a wife beater?
You can't call him a wife beater. I thought it
was a white beater. I know.
Speaker 12 (02:14:37):
White beater.
Speaker 2 (02:14:38):
It does sound crazy. Shannon, you gotta wear one. There
are like the guys on the side of the road.
It's not ribbed.
Speaker 14 (02:14:45):
A beater.
Speaker 2 (02:14:45):
Like the guy that yesterday was across the street at
the corned beef place or on Monday. Like guys working,
the guy came over and stuff. You guys all said
he looked like Tom Brady.
Speaker 3 (02:14:55):
Mixed with... Glenn Powell.
Speaker 2 (02:14:59):
Yeah, which is a good-looking guy, right? But then there
are those women that love their country guys, like rodeo
guys and stuff like that.
Speaker 10 (02:15:08):
We've had women call in the show and say that
they love when their guy comes home, he drops the
tool belt, his fingernails are dirty. I vividly remember calls
like that.
Speaker 33 (02:15:17):
So do I.
Speaker 3 (02:15:17):
I get that. But the thing is, he's already like...
That part. He's already got me in. It's like clean.
That's not your first impression.
Speaker 45 (02:15:27):
Clean mixed with a little bit of musk. You were
clean when you went out for the day. Then you
came home a little sweaty. It's like animals, though. It
brings us back to our animal ages. We're all mammals.
Speaker 3 (02:15:39):
I have heard this before that when girls are on
their periods, we emit a very certain... Smell, like pheromone smell.
And I'm like, I don't think that's a good smell.
Speaker 2 (02:15:50):
There's a lot of times where guys have said that
they found a girl attractive and then found out when
they went out with them, they're like, I'm sorry, I
can't do it because I'm on my period. And they're like,
now I know why she's so hot today. What's going on, Mike?
How you doing? Never said. Mike, we got to wash
(02:16:15):
our asses. At least wash your asses, right?
Speaker 38 (02:16:18):
By the way, isn't this interesting that this.
Speaker 14 (02:16:21):
Is actually the thing, the pheromone maxing, and most guys are.
Speaker 2 (02:16:25):
Trying their hardest to, like, make themselves either look good
or smell good. And then there are some sweaty, stinky
guy out there getting girls. Did you hear the other big,
(02:16:46):
like there's a big other dating maxing thing that's out
there where you will purposely break your appendage. Google, have
you ever heard of that?
Speaker 3 (02:16:56):
I've heard of this.
Speaker 2 (02:16:57):
They'll purposely break their like arms or whatever to make themselves.
Jaw bones.
Speaker 3 (02:17:01):
To make it so that when it grows back, it's
stronger and more chiseled. More defined.
Speaker 2 (02:17:08):
What?
Speaker 12 (02:17:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:17:09):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (02:17:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:17:10):
There's people that will break bones.
Speaker 23 (02:17:11):
Everyone's trying to be a Ken doll.
Speaker 16 (02:17:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:17:13):
That's nuts. Nah. I mean, think about this. There's no way.
Think about this, you know, as far as how you've,
you know, you feel like some people like, you know,
go to extents to try to get somebody. Yeah, that's extreme.
Breaking my jawbone is crazy. What are we doing, bro? Chaz,
what's up, Chaz?
Speaker 14 (02:17:35):
Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 12 (02:17:36):
Good morning, everyone.
Speaker 2 (02:17:37):
You already won this challenge. I knew this was coming.
Speaker 10 (02:17:42):
I was I thought one of them would have beat
you to the joke, man.
Speaker 3 (02:17:46):
How often do you shower each week?
Speaker 14 (02:17:48):
Once I heard once.
Speaker 12 (02:17:50):
I heard the drinking pee and whatnot, I had to
correct it. I texted Lydia and I said.
Speaker 20 (02:17:54):
I'm going to correct it just to the shower part.
Speaker 12 (02:17:56):
I don't think Kev's out here drinking his own pee.
Speaker 2 (02:17:58):
No, yeah, we not doing that.
Speaker 10 (02:18:00):
How many times a day or how many times a
week do I shower?
Speaker 2 (02:18:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (02:18:05):
Because before you said one, it can't be just one.
I don't think I've ever said one. I think it
was like block scheduling. At a moment, it was like
depending upon what I did during the day. Like if
I was like when I go kayaking, I'm going to
come home and shower. If I spend the whole day
in the house, I'm not going to shower. So I
(02:18:26):
would say, but then if I'm out and about, I'm
going to shower. So I would say realistically, I would
say five times a week.
Speaker 17 (02:18:35):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 10 (02:18:36):
So you skip Sundays or something, right? If I'm not
going outside, then I'm not going to shower, bro. I'm
just in the house, and I shower the day before.
Speaker 12 (02:18:44):
Yeah, see, I do landscaping, and to wake myself up
in the morning, I take a shower, and I take
a shower, and I get home, so I'm at 14
a week.
Speaker 14 (02:18:50):
Whoa, same.
Speaker 2 (02:18:51):
I'm the same, man. I'll be honest with you. I
need to lotion a little bit more because I think
I shower too much.
Speaker 17 (02:18:58):
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (02:19:00):
See, but you don't use washcloths.
Speaker 10 (02:19:01):
Though, so you're not really showering. You don't use washcloths either, Chaz,
do you?
Speaker 12 (02:19:06):
No, he's one of the loofahs.
Speaker 2 (02:19:07):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 21 (02:19:08):
A loofah.
Speaker 2 (02:19:09):
So do I, although I just read those are bad.
You got rid of him? Yeah I don't have grime
I'm a radio person I don't grime.
Speaker 52 (02:19:18):
Yeah It's a hot one out here today I'll definitely
be taking that long shower Getting it all off later.
Speaker 2 (02:19:24):
God love you man For doing what you're doing I
can't imagine being out in this heat So thank you
buddy Yeah it.
Speaker 12 (02:19:29):
Was tough Absolutely You guys have a great day You.
Speaker 2 (02:19:31):
Too my man Chaz had the line of the day
Kevin's already been Pheromone maxing Tony what's up Tony How
we doing Doing okay What's going on.
Speaker 56 (02:19:42):
Um First thing I got to say is that I didn't...
The last time I didn't get... Tell you guys, this
is my first time.
Speaker 2 (02:19:48):
Oh, then we got to do a new one for you.
Speaker 33 (02:19:50):
Tony.
Speaker 2 (02:19:51):
Tony on the phone.
Speaker 56 (02:19:55):
Yes, I dated this girl that when I would come
home from work or any time of the day, she
would grab my arm and lift it up and she'd
want to smell my armpit.
Speaker 9 (02:20:06):
She was that into it?
Speaker 2 (02:20:07):
She enjoyed it.
Speaker 56 (02:20:09):
See, I don't know if it was my deodorant or
if it was just my smell.
Speaker 12 (02:20:12):
She just.
Speaker 56 (02:20:13):
After she smelled it, she just melted.
Speaker 2 (02:20:15):
Did she ever lick it?
Speaker 24 (02:20:18):
No. Okay.
Speaker 12 (02:20:20):
Wow.
Speaker 17 (02:20:20):
That's too much.
Speaker 2 (02:20:22):
I guarantee people out here are doing everything. That's crazy, Tony.
Speaker 3 (02:20:25):
I am not doing that.
Speaker 2 (02:20:27):
Hold on, Tony. Katie's on the phone right now. She
loves doing this. Was that right? Katie, what do you do?
Speaker 11 (02:20:34):
I love the smell of my sweaty man's balls.
Speaker 31 (02:20:37):
Or private parts, sorry.
Speaker 2 (02:20:38):
His balls. Wow. You like when your man's balls smell?
Speaker 11 (02:20:44):
It's like a sweet smell to him.
Speaker 14 (02:20:46):
Girl.
Speaker 11 (02:20:47):
It's not like when he's, you know, gross and nasty
all day.
Speaker 38 (02:20:50):
But, you know, it's a little bit of like fresh
out the shower.
Speaker 35 (02:20:53):
And we've been hanging out doing, you know, a little
yard work or something.
Speaker 2 (02:20:57):
So do you.
Speaker 43 (02:20:57):
Yeah, no.
Speaker 2 (02:20:59):
How do you go about smelling this?
Speaker 12 (02:21:01):
You just.
Speaker 21 (02:21:01):
All right.
Speaker 3 (02:21:02):
We all know, you know, when.
Speaker 35 (02:21:04):
You're doing the obvious, you know, and it's kind of like,
I like it.
Speaker 2 (02:21:09):
I didn't know if she was just like, they just
hanging out on the couch and she's just like, all right,
let me smell your balls. Can I, can I tell you, Katie,
in the weirdest way that you think that, you know,
your guy's, smelly balls are good to you. I had
a guy that I knew and you guys may know
who this person is. Cause I think you guys might've
(02:21:30):
met him who used to love having sex with women
who had smelly vaginas like that, that their vaginas weren't
like not smelling. Like I think a vagina, when I
think of a vagina, the smell of a vagina is
no smell, right? There's nothing there. Sometimes it could be
a little hand or something.
Speaker 11 (02:21:50):
He was the same in return. He liked, he was
the same way.
Speaker 44 (02:21:53):
And he actually, yes, he would, and he.
Speaker 11 (02:21:57):
Loved the smell of my armpits.
Speaker 9 (02:22:00):
Interesting.
Speaker 38 (02:22:00):
He told me they smelled like an apricot. He actually would.
Speaker 3 (02:22:03):
Smell like an apricot?
Speaker 2 (02:22:04):
Y'all are a little freaky.
Speaker 24 (02:22:05):
Yes.
Speaker 11 (02:22:06):
He said they smelled sweaty like an apricot. I can't
explain it.
Speaker 2 (02:22:10):
Are apricots a bad smell? Never smelled one. Interesting smell?
Speaker 3 (02:22:13):
I don't really eat apricots.
Speaker 2 (02:22:14):
He just said my butt.
Speaker 44 (02:22:15):
And my armpits smelled like an apricot.
Speaker 21 (02:22:18):
Interesting.
Speaker 2 (02:22:18):
I like mine to smell like plums.
Speaker 3 (02:22:22):
Who likes a plum?
Speaker 2 (02:22:23):
I love plums. That's one of my favorites.
Speaker 3 (02:22:25):
I love a nectarine.
Speaker 2 (02:22:27):
Give me a nectarine. I want a nectarine vagina. That's
what I want.
Speaker 3 (02:22:35):
You didn't sleep last night, did you?
Speaker 2 (02:22:37):
I did.
Speaker 3 (02:22:38):
You've been on all day.
Speaker 2 (02:22:39):
I got to be honest. I'm going to go on record.
This CPAP machine is not working for me. It's staying on,
but it ain't giving me good sleep. So I think
it's only poisoning me and trying to kill me. What's
going on? How you doing? What's going on, Ben?
Speaker 14 (02:22:56):
Yo, Mojo, what is happening?
Speaker 2 (02:23:00):
Nothing much. What's happening with you? What fruit do you
like your vagina to smell like?
Speaker 14 (02:23:07):
I'll be dead honest. I called in for something else,
but I'm still trying to get over the woman who
likes her smelly balls.
Speaker 12 (02:23:12):
Can you pass.
Speaker 21 (02:23:13):
Her on my number?
Speaker 2 (02:23:14):
She sounds like a dream. She has a husband.
Speaker 12 (02:23:16):
I know.
Speaker 2 (02:23:16):
He locked that up. Any woman that's good with smelly balls,
I'm good with. What's going on, Ben?
Speaker 14 (02:23:23):
So I actually had a, this is funny. So speaking
of smelly vagina, I had a blind date recently. And
this girl says she's pretty, pretty blunt. And she said,
my vagina tastes like water. And this is on the
first date and just in a random conversation comes out
of nowhere. Well, then I turned out she's from Flint.
(02:23:43):
And I was like, uh.
Speaker 12 (02:23:45):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (02:23:46):
She's from Flint. She's asking if it tastes like lead.
Speaker 12 (02:23:53):
My original calling was about the shampoo.
Speaker 14 (02:23:55):
I keep shampoo on my boat. What do you guys
think about shampooing in the lake?
Speaker 23 (02:24:00):
Back to the Flint vagina.
Speaker 21 (02:24:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:24:04):
Can I be honest with you? This might be the
call of the century. Ben, as far as shampooing, I
know people that do that. They'll jump in the lake
and take showers. They'll do that in the morning. I know.
Speaker 23 (02:24:16):
Doesn't count, I don't think.
Speaker 28 (02:24:18):
You end up looking like the caddy from Happy Gilmore.
Speaker 2 (02:24:22):
Right, exactly. All right, hold on a second. Angela, what's up, Angela?
Speaker 38 (02:24:27):
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm on the phone.
Speaker 15 (02:24:30):
These calls are just fantastic.
Speaker 36 (02:24:34):
Between the water licking vagina and licking.
Speaker 38 (02:24:38):
Dirty balls, you could not waterboard this information out of me.
Speaker 2 (02:24:42):
So, bravo. You're the best, Angela.
Speaker 12 (02:24:47):
I love you.
Speaker 2 (02:24:48):
What's up, Colette? Hi, how you doing?
Speaker 12 (02:24:51):
Good.
Speaker 21 (02:24:51):
How are you?
Speaker 9 (02:24:52):
How are you today?
Speaker 24 (02:24:53):
First time, long time.
Speaker 2 (02:24:54):
Angela on the phone.
Speaker 44 (02:24:57):
Well, I really didn't technically call, but yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:25:02):
Oh, you text us.
Speaker 24 (02:25:03):
First time, wrong time.
Speaker 2 (02:25:04):
You text us. What's going on?
Speaker 24 (02:25:08):
I was just commenting because I had a long distance
relationship and twice a month I would go see him
in Toledo and I would just love smelling him. But,
you know, it's a combination of.
Speaker 38 (02:25:21):
His body sweat, odor, you know, and his cologne.
Speaker 2 (02:25:25):
But I am more drawn to.
Speaker 21 (02:25:27):
A nice, he was always smelling good.
Speaker 24 (02:25:30):
But I always missed, I guess that is the pheromone.
Speaker 2 (02:25:33):
I always missed the.
Speaker 21 (02:25:35):
Smell of him.
Speaker 12 (02:25:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (02:25:36):
The smell of him.
Speaker 38 (02:25:38):
And he missed the smell of me.
Speaker 44 (02:25:40):
But I got to tell the ladies, eat lots of fruit.
Eat lots of fruit.
Speaker 3 (02:25:45):
I know.
Speaker 18 (02:25:46):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (02:25:47):
Makes it smell better. You know what I mean. Yeah, okay.
No asparagus.
Speaker 30 (02:25:53):
Yeah, the vegetables.
Speaker 2 (02:25:55):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 9 (02:25:56):
You know it, Mojo.
Speaker 10 (02:25:59):
I got you. Mojo wants nectarine. One last call to add.
Speaker 2 (02:26:06):
Joe, are you there, Joe?
Speaker 11 (02:26:08):
What's going on, guys?
Speaker 21 (02:26:10):
Good morning.
Speaker 12 (02:26:10):
Good morning, Joe.
Speaker 2 (02:26:11):
Listen to this call.
Speaker 8 (02:26:14):
Yeah, my baby mama's auntie's cousin's sister told me my
balls smell like anchovies.
Speaker 23 (02:26:20):
Your baby mama's... Why did she sniff.
Speaker 3 (02:26:23):
Why would she smell in that area of you?
Speaker 2 (02:26:25):
I need a flow chart.
Speaker 29 (02:26:28):
Well.
Speaker 21 (02:26:29):
Let's not say why.
Speaker 14 (02:26:31):
They smell like anchovies.
Speaker 49 (02:26:37):
Anchovies.
Speaker 2 (02:26:38):
You ain't watched in years. All I want is a
Caesar salad right now.
Speaker 14 (02:26:43):
All I have to say is I'm one of a kind, baby.
Speaker 2 (02:26:46):
Thanks, Joe. By the way, this segment market, this should be,
we should replay this on Labor Day Best Of. This
is too good.
Speaker 18 (02:26:56):

Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
And cash in.
Speaker 18 (02:27:08):
Take to DFCU Financial.
Speaker 14 (02:27:09):

Speaker 2 (02:27:11):
It is time to play. We haven't gotten a winner yet.
$ 5, 000 could be yours. What is this secret sound?
Speaker 50 (02:27:19):
844-MOJO-LIVE.
Speaker 2 (02:27:25):
844-665-6548. The 95th caller.
Speaker 18 (02:27:31):
Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.
Speaker 2 (02:27:32):
All right, Shannon with the dirty on the 30.
Speaker 3 (02:27:35):
Well, I've got some breaking dirty right now. Tiger Woods
back in court this morning. In fact, right now this
is happening. And this time he plead, he pled guilty
to reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
What does that mean? He's going to have his driver's
license suspended for five years and will have to pay
a thousand dollar fine. And if you remember, this all
(02:27:57):
goes back to that crash incident In March in Jupiter Island, Florida,
he pleaded not guilty after officers say he was shown
signs of impairment, refused a urine test. They found two
hydrocodone pills in his pocket when they pulled him over.
So now he is changing his plea and is pleading guilty.
Lionel Richie, what?
Speaker 2 (02:28:17):
I was going to say, what? It's like the potential
outcome of a guilty verdict. Should he be?
Speaker 3 (02:28:21):
Well, yeah, there's no like trial or anything. So like
I said, no driver's license for five years. He has
to pay a fine.
Speaker 2 (02:28:28):
Yeah. Yeah, that's it. I mean, I say that's it.
Speaker 10 (02:28:31):
That's that's he should be driving anyway.
Speaker 3 (02:28:34):
I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (02:28:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:28:36):
Lionel Richie still in the ICU in St. Louis and
doctors are now testing the 77 year old music music
legend for some cardiac related issues. So if you remember
us talking about this, he checked into the hospital after
his show on Saturday. He was really struggling toward the
end of the show. It was obvious to the audience.
And he asked for a chair so he could sit
(02:28:58):
while performing all night long. And doctors initially said mild dehydration.
But we called BS on that right away because you're
not in the intensive care unit for dehydration. But now
they're saying cardiac issues are being investigated. They're still expecting
him to be released today. But this is his second
health scare on the tour. Kanye West adding three more U.S.
(02:29:21):
stadium shows to his tour this year. He's going to
be playing Houston on Halloween, Dallas on November 7th, and
Phoenix on November 21st. Tickets are on sale. Tickets go
on sale next week for all of those shows.
Speaker 2 (02:29:35):
He's back. By the way, what's the new song that
Tony Travato said is so good? It's not new. It's
been out for a while. What song is it? It's
a great song. No, it's the one with Lauryn Hill.
Speaker 14 (02:29:49):
Can't.
Speaker 2 (02:29:50):
What did he say? Which one did he say? You
looking at the text message.
Speaker 12 (02:29:57):
It's all.
Speaker 2 (02:29:58):
Here it is right here. He says, I can't wait
is a great song. That's Tony Travato. The guy who
thinks that Ella Langley song is not a hit song
to play on the radio. Wait, really? You know, he
says it doesn't fit us.
Speaker 14 (02:30:15):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
I beg to differ. And it's got a little Michael
Jackson sample in there.
Speaker 12 (02:30:21):
Oh, really?
Speaker 2 (02:30:21):
Which Michael Jackson song?
Speaker 23 (02:30:25):
Wait, this is it?
Speaker 12 (02:30:27):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 23 (02:30:29):
I love this song.
Speaker 2 (02:30:30):
It's Kanye. They're right here. This is the.
Speaker 33 (02:30:37):
No, you just have to wait.
Speaker 18 (02:30:40):
She said love don't come easy.
Speaker 2 (02:30:44):
It's a game of give and take.
Speaker 3 (02:30:45):
Is that him singing?
Speaker 2 (02:30:46):
That's Lauryn Hill. You can't hurry love.
Speaker 9 (02:30:47):
Wait, that's Lauryn Hill.
Speaker 2 (02:30:48):
Wait, that's not a Michael Jackson song.
Speaker 3 (02:30:50):
She's such a diva.
Speaker 2 (02:30:50):
Yes, it is. You can't hurry love is not Michael Jackson.
Speaker 3 (02:30:53):
That's not Michael Jackson?
Speaker 12 (02:30:54):
No.
Speaker 2 (02:30:54):
You can't hurry love.
Speaker 9 (02:30:55):
It's the Supremes.
Speaker 2 (02:30:58):
Yeah, Diana Ross. Oh, well, that's maybe, well, you know.
She was banging Michael.
Speaker 3 (02:31:01):
Let's talk about that for a second.
Speaker 2 (02:31:02):
Okay. No, she was not.
Speaker 12 (02:31:03):
Yes, she was.
Speaker 2 (02:31:03):
Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. No, she was not. Diana
Ross was a mother figure to him. Listen, she was
a mother effer. No, she wasn't. Bro, you don't know. Listen,
I'll enlighten you during the break. I guarantee you. Google that.
He was head over.
Speaker 10 (02:31:17):
Who do you think Dirty Diana is?
Speaker 2 (02:31:19):
Really? Yes, that's about Diana Ross.
Speaker 10 (02:31:23):
He had a super crush on her when he was
younger because she was, you know, she was a mother figure,
like you said. But once he got older, that was banging, bro.
Speaker 2 (02:31:31):
I didn't know that. I did not know that.
Speaker 10 (02:31:33):
She removed all that information out of the movie. Like,
she was supposed to have scenes in the movie. They
were supposed to have a huge whiz part of the
movie because they were both actors and actresses on that movie.
Speaker 2 (02:31:42):
She took all that out.
Speaker 3 (02:31:43):
Holy cow.
Speaker 2 (02:31:43):
That's Dirty Diana.
Speaker 3 (02:31:45):
Thanks for the dirty.
Speaker 2 (02:31:46):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (02:31:47):
And lastly, I want to do this story again because
it's everywhere today. This Wheel of Fortune announcer, Jim Thornton
is his name. He has been suspended because of something
that happened on an American Airlines flight. Now, this is
back in May. We don't know what it was, but
it was bad enough that police were waiting for him
(02:32:08):
at the gate. when this plane landed. So the show
currently has suspended him. They are looking for a replacement.
How did they know who he was? He was wearing
a Wheel of Fortune jacket, so they knew he had
some sort of affiliation with the show.
Speaker 2 (02:32:22):
That is a crazy story, isn't it?
Speaker 12 (02:32:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:32:24):
The guy's going to lose his gig because something stupid
he did on an airplane.
Speaker 3 (02:32:28):
I just wonder what it was, yeah. Miss anything from today?
Go back, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 6 (02:32:33):

Time now for Mojo's Secret Sound. Roy from Warren, Michigan
is on the phone with us. What up, Roy?
Speaker 14 (02:32:55):
Hey, what up?
Speaker 2 (02:32:56):
Roy, how do your balls smell? What fruit do they
smell like? Or it could be Another thing, the guy
said anchovies.
Speaker 21 (02:33:08):

Speaker 2 (02:33:09):
Yeah, isn't that crazy? Roy, nice to have you with us.
Are you ready to win some money?
Speaker 10 (02:33:14):
I'm trying, hopefully.
Speaker 2 (02:33:18):
How long have you been listening to this contest? The
last few days, honestly. Okay, so you've gotten an idea
of what people are saying as far as clues, right?
Speaker 29 (02:33:28):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 2 (02:33:29):
Or guesses, and then maybe that's giving you some clues.
All right, let's do this in here, Roy.
Speaker 55 (02:33:34):
Okay.
Speaker 29 (02:33:36):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:33:37):
Mojo Secret Sound is worth $ 5, 000 right now. We've got
a total of $ 20, 000 we're going to give away from
DFCU Financial, the cashback credit union. For $ 5, 000, Roy from Warren,
what is Mojo Secret Sound?
Speaker 12 (02:33:51):
Honestly, I think.
Speaker 34 (02:33:56):
It's one of them old school spin dial phones, like
someone's making a phone call.
Speaker 18 (02:34:01):
Rotary.
Speaker 21 (02:34:01):
Spin dial phone.
Speaker 12 (02:34:02):
Yeah, it's a rotary phone.
Speaker 2 (02:34:04):
Did it? You know what's funny is I haven't seen
one of those, nor used it in a while. I think, honestly,
it's been... Does she really? Does it still work?
Speaker 35 (02:34:14):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (02:34:14):
Roy, I love you so much. I want to give
you $ 5, 000, but I can't.
Speaker 21 (02:34:18):
Because it's the wrong answer.
Speaker 2 (02:34:32):
It's not a rotary phone. I'm sorry. I apologize. We
take that one off the list.
Speaker 21 (02:34:36):
I never thought.
Speaker 12 (02:34:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:34:39):
Well, you know what we got? We got another day
of this because tomorrow we're going to bring it back

In a bottle. And you can turn that sound into
thousands of dollars.
Speaker 28 (02:35:18):

Speaker 2 (02:35:35):
It is Mojo in the morning Good to have everybody
here on the show today Shannon, Anna, Kevin, Lydia, Bianca,
Zach Where does Zach go? Tell Zach to get back
in here. I want Zach back in the studio. You
know why I want Zach back in the studio? Because
I'm going to give him some crap for something here.
(02:35:56):
What does Zach do? Zach, you know, he does a
lot of things. He does. You don't have to leave
so fast, Zach. Zach comes in during breaks, and I
like when Zach does. I want to keep him around
here for this one, too. So I had some people
over at the house earlier. And Chelsea was talking about
(02:36:16):
this with me yesterday. And she said, she said, so
just kind of hanging out, just doing a bunch of nothing.
And all of a sudden out of the blue, I
see a puff of smoke go into the sky. And
then the smell was right after that. And the puff
in the smell came from our son, Joseph, Joe from
(02:36:40):
the Joe show. And Chelsea looks and goes, there's no
smoking in my house.
Speaker 3 (02:36:44):
I didn't know he smoked.
Speaker 2 (02:36:45):
And he says, I wasn't smoking, Mom. I was hitting
my vape pen, my weed pen.
Speaker 3 (02:36:51):
Oh, well, it still counts.
Speaker 2 (02:36:53):
And she goes, that is smoking in my house. Actually,
you should call Chelsea, by the way. I wonder if
Chelsea would have a better perspective on this one.
Speaker 23 (02:37:00):
And Joe, I want to hear his side.
Speaker 2 (02:37:03):
And so it brought up the question, and I want
to ask vapers. Do you guys just think that you
can just do this anywhere when you understand that people
in businesses have no smoking indoors stuff? But it's not
real smoke. You see why you're invited. You want to
know why you see why you're invited? Let me know.
(02:37:23):
You've puffed in this studio, haven't you?
Speaker 9 (02:37:25):
Oh, absolutely.
Speaker 50 (02:37:26):
Um it's definitely a habit and sometimes i forget that
i do it i'm like oh my god and then
i see someone will call me out or then there's
smoke and i'm like oh it is.
Speaker 3 (02:37:36):
So funny when you're in here sometimes and you just
like take it out of your pocket and do it
and put it back i'm like Does he think that
we all don't see?
Speaker 45 (02:37:42):
Sometimes I don't see you do it, but I just
smell fruit and I'm like, oh, he just hit it.
Speaker 2 (02:37:46):
Citrus, yeah. Do people that vape, though, not understand that
even though it doesn't have a long burn to it
like a cigarette does, that there is the smoke that's
in the air and the carcinogens and all the rest
of that stuff?
Speaker 9 (02:38:01):
I've never heard of anyone getting secondhand smoke from a vape.
Speaker 49 (02:38:04):
Me neither.
Speaker 2 (02:38:05):
You don't think that that's the case?
Speaker 9 (02:38:06):
I mean, I'm also not breathing it. Like, putting it
in your face.
Speaker 12 (02:38:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:38:10):
It goes straight up. But also, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:38:13):
Hey, old Len. Chels, you there, Chels?
Speaker 19 (02:38:14):
Of course.
Speaker 17 (02:38:14):
I know.
Speaker 33 (02:38:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:38:17):
Joe has literally no respect for us, does he? As
our parents. Or as his parents.
Speaker 3 (02:38:25):
I'd say as our parents.
Speaker 26 (02:38:28):
I mean, I think he just, you know, I wouldn't
say has.
Speaker 33 (02:38:32):
No respect, but.
Speaker 2 (02:38:34):
Did you want to just grab that vape right out
of his hand and throw it out? Remember when we
used to throw his vapes out and he would get
so mad at us?
Speaker 3 (02:38:40):
I do remember that, yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:38:45):
Ooh.
Speaker 2 (02:38:46):
We would find, so Joe was the chronic vape falls
out of his pocket and would just be on the
couch guy. And then Luke would go, oh, what's this?
You know what I mean? Like he was a little kid.
Speaker 12 (02:38:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:38:59):
And now Luke, look at Luke. He's a total burnout.
I mean, look what.
Speaker 3 (02:39:05):
He cried the first time he saw Joey. He was
so worried about him.
Speaker 33 (02:39:11):
And now he's, now he's.
Speaker 14 (02:39:13):
One of them.
Speaker 2 (02:39:13):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 24 (02:39:15):
I know.
Speaker 2 (02:39:15):
I never thought that Luke would do it. I thought
Luke was, you know, going to be like our athlete,
you know, the kid that sits there and makes protein
shakes in the morning. Now he's, Drinking McUltras.
Speaker 10 (02:39:27):
And vaping and stuff like that.
Speaker 36 (02:39:31):
He's living life.
Speaker 13 (02:39:32):
He's living life.
Speaker 33 (02:39:33):
And I didn't listen.
Speaker 11 (02:39:34):
Just don't do.
Speaker 26 (02:39:36):
It around me.
Speaker 14 (02:39:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:39:37):
What is going on? Is there like a three alarm
fire or something? What is going on?
Speaker 31 (02:39:41):
There is not a third truck that passed me.
Speaker 2 (02:39:46):
I feel bad.
Speaker 12 (02:39:47):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:39:48):
We'll pray for him. You got to pray and make
the sign of the cross. Real quick. I am a truck. Chelsea,
so Zach, I know how much you consider Zach to
be our fourth child. This son of a bitch, he
vapes here in the studio. If he came over to
our house and you were sitting there on your heated
pimp mat and he's on the couch vaping, what would
(02:40:10):
you do?
Speaker 3 (02:40:14):
I would tell him you have to go do it
outside of my house. You cannot do it.
Speaker 16 (02:40:18):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:40:19):
You cannot do it inside the house.
Speaker 2 (02:40:21):
Would you go to somebody's home, like a friend's house,
and would you just vape? Or would you ask them,
can I vape?
Speaker 9 (02:40:28):
It depends who it is. Obviously, I would respect Chelsea
and be like, oh, my bad, my bad. I would move.
Speaker 50 (02:40:35):
If I'm going over my buddy Kyle's house, I'm totally
vaping at his house.
Speaker 2 (02:40:40):
What about your sister's house, sister and brother-in-law's house? Do
you vape there? If the kids are listening.
Speaker 12 (02:40:47):
Oh, really?
Speaker 2 (02:40:48):
They're at school.
Speaker 9 (02:40:49):
Yeah, no, yeah, absolutely I'm vaping in our house.
Speaker 3 (02:40:51):
Do they know? Have they ever known?
Speaker 2 (02:40:52):
Oh, yeah. Well, you don't vape in our house. No
vaping in our house. Chelsea, I'll talk to you. I
was trying to get Joe on the phone with us,
but I think the Joe show might be busy right now.
Speaker 39 (02:41:03):
Busy, busy.
Speaker 2 (02:41:04):
All right, I love you. I'll talk to you later.
I love you.
Speaker 24 (02:41:08):
Love you, bye.
Speaker 10 (02:41:10):
We had a guy in our Tiger suite last week
who was vaping.
Speaker 2 (02:41:14):
You can't vape in stadiums.
Speaker 9 (02:41:15):
Oh, I saw that.
Speaker 10 (02:41:16):
That's what he said. Who going to stop you? Was
it the pest control guy? Which guy was it? I'm
not saying which.
Speaker 2 (02:41:22):
Guy it was.
Speaker 23 (02:41:23):
Was he outside or in?
Speaker 2 (02:41:24):
Oh, we were outside. What's up, Sabrina?
Speaker 32 (02:41:28):
Hello.
Speaker 26 (02:41:29):
Well, I'm probably not the greatest person to take my
opinion right now because I am from Flint, and I
know that's already got a taste in your guys' mouth
this morning. I'm sitting on my couch right now vaping
and hitting a weed pen, so I'm like, okay, well,
maybe I shouldn't say anything because they're not going to
listen to me. Well, I have kids, and I used
(02:41:51):
to work at a smoke shop, and I was in management.
Speaker 39 (02:41:53):
So I know that.
Speaker 26 (02:41:56):
The nicotine vapes themselves They're only made up of four things,
which is propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine, and then the flavoring.
So with that, it doesn't stick to the walls and
it doesn't like stick in the air and hover like
cigarettes do. And it doesn't have the same carcinogens. Like personally,
I would vape in the same house as my kid,
(02:42:18):
but not near them. Like for the same effects, we
don't know long-term effects. We don't know about a secondhand smoke,
but I know that it's also vaporized enough and it's
going in the air enough, like evaporating, that it's not
going to have the same effects and it's not as dangerous.
But it's also, I think it should be at everyone
else's discretion. If you're in public, like outside, yeah, that's fine.
(02:42:39):
But in closed doors or at someone else's houses, you
shouldn't just be like, oh yeah, I'm going to, Smoke
my nicotine or smoke my weed in front of everyone.
Speaker 23 (02:42:46):
Who cares what they think.
Speaker 2 (02:42:47):
So Sabrina, I have, and by the way, you're very knowledgeable.
So thank you for your knowledge. The parents who vape
or worse smoke cigarettes in a car with their kids.
like that that is horrible by the way my mom
was a smoker and she did smoke in the car
but that was before you knew anything that was.
Speaker 3 (02:43:07):
Going on your mom was a smoker oh yeah my
mom smoked.
Speaker 26 (02:43:10):
I think i think that's awful because you can see
the build-up even with vapes i don't think that's ever
be done in vehicles with any children because you literally
have to like use wet wipes to get that stuff
off so just imagine what that's doing to like their
lungs or.
Speaker 2 (02:43:23):
Their insides It's worse than being in a car with
your dad when he farts so bad and doesn't roll
the windows down.
Speaker 16 (02:43:30):
And they lock the windows.
Speaker 2 (02:43:32):
Yeah, exactly. It's the worst.
Speaker 9 (02:43:33):
Or under a blanket.
Speaker 2 (02:43:34):
Thanks, Sabrina from Flint. We love you. And Flint.
Speaker 42 (02:43:38):
Thank you.
Speaker 26 (02:43:38):
Have a great day.
Speaker 2 (02:43:40):
What's going on, Noah?
Speaker 12 (02:43:41):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (02:43:44):
Hello, Noah. Noah.
Speaker 14 (02:43:48):
Hey, can you guys hear me?
Speaker 2 (02:43:49):
There you go.
Speaker 6 (02:43:49):
Now we can.
Speaker 2 (02:43:50):
What's up, Noah?
Speaker 11 (02:43:51):
Hey, hi guys.
Speaker 20 (02:43:52):
First time one.
Speaker 12 (02:43:59):
I love you guys.
Speaker 20 (02:44:00):
I listen to you every day.
Speaker 3 (02:44:01):
We love you too.
Speaker 20 (02:44:04):
Anyway so what i was calling about was the vaping
thing so like yeah no it's insane i don't do
it i'm a vaper myself like with a breeze but
i have friends that will go to we'll stop at
the gas station or i went to a doctor's appointment
with them they'll be sitting in the waiting room just
hitting their breeze or in the gas station in the
(02:44:25):
clerk's face hitting their breeze.
Speaker 2 (02:44:26):
It is like they don't care i know.
Speaker 20 (02:44:28):
In the store like i'm like I was with one
time I was with them in the store and they're
just ripping clouds. And I'm like, can you stop? Because
I don't want to get kicked out because I'm associated
with you.
Speaker 2 (02:44:39):
It is crazy. Yeah, it is. It's amazing how blatant
some people are, you know, I just.
Speaker 14 (02:44:46):
Don't get it.
Speaker 20 (02:44:46):
Like, I feel like the same rules for a cigarette
should apply for a vape.
Speaker 14 (02:44:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:44:51):
And this is, yes, absolutely. And it's coming from a
vapor too. I will tell you this. I think that
you're absolutely right on that one. Plus, when you vape,
you look like you're puffing on a little penis.
Speaker 23 (02:45:03):
I know.
Speaker 2 (02:45:04):
You know? And it's okay if you do that, Anna.
But not Zach. Zach? Watching Zach puff on penises? What's up, Mariah? Hi.
Speaker 9 (02:45:15):
Hey.
Speaker 38 (02:45:16):
How's it going, everybody?
Speaker 12 (02:45:17):
Good.
Speaker 2 (02:45:17):
What's going on?
Speaker 36 (02:45:20):
So my husband and I.
Speaker 30 (02:45:21):
Were on a flight.
Speaker 29 (02:45:22):
We usually, when my kids were young, we would sit
all the way in the back of the plane.
Speaker 31 (02:45:26):
Because it was easier to get by the bathrooms.
Speaker 29 (02:45:28):
And we were sitting there, and we looked at each
other because we smelled something.
Speaker 14 (02:45:32):
We're like, what is that smell?
Speaker 29 (02:45:34):
Then the fire alarm went off. And then a guy came. Yeah,
it was like a crazy beeping noise. And then a
guy burst out of the bathroom, completely terrified and very embarrassed.
And he, like, tried to get away. And the flight
attendants ended up bringing him back.
Speaker 26 (02:45:53):
And they said.
Speaker 29 (02:45:54):
we know what you were doing in the bathroom and
do not do it again. Or we're going to have
to take you out of this airplane with silver, silver bracelets.
Speaker 14 (02:46:03):
And we're like, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (02:46:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:46:05):
I can only imagine.
Speaker 55 (02:46:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 29 (02:46:07):
He didn't do it again, but it was like crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:46:11):
I thought you'd get a fine. Yeah.
Speaker 23 (02:46:15):
Nice to him. Yeah.
Speaker 42 (02:46:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 29 (02:46:17):
It was like right before we took off. So I
don't know if he thought he could get away with it.
Speaker 14 (02:46:21):
Like, um, I don't know.
Speaker 29 (02:46:23):
I just, I was like, why would you do that
before we're about to fly out?
Speaker 2 (02:46:26):
Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.
Speaker 29 (02:46:28):
It felt crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:46:29):
Thanks, Mariah. Listen to this one. Uber Sarah's on with
us right now. You had a passenger that did this? Yes.
Speaker 43 (02:46:37):
I literally had to put this lady out of my
vehicle on 696 and declendered.
Speaker 33 (02:46:42):
Okay.
Speaker 11 (02:46:45):
I picked her up from 12 Mile and Van Dyke
to Wal-Mart. She got in the car.
Speaker 9 (02:46:49):
Now, my one rule, all you have to do is speak.
Speaker 39 (02:46:52):
If you don't want to have a.
Speaker 19 (02:46:53):
Conversation, I'm cool with that.
Speaker 20 (02:46:55):
So when I spoke to her, she grinned like a chihuahua.
Speaker 12 (02:46:58):
You ever seen a dog that showed its teeth?
Speaker 2 (02:47:01):
I said, okay, this is about to be a crazy ride.
Speaker 20 (02:47:04):
So I turned on my.
Speaker 19 (02:47:06):
Yeah, I turned on channel 955.
Speaker 28 (02:47:08):
And I said, let me turn this up a little
bit because I'm at the, you know, I don't know
what's going on.
Speaker 20 (02:47:12):
We dropped down on 696.
Speaker 39 (02:47:13):
All of a sudden, a big pulse of smoke came
around me. I leaned over to the side.
Speaker 17 (02:47:19):
I said, what?
Speaker 10 (02:47:20):
Baby, don't do that.
Speaker 33 (02:47:21):
I said, I got.
Speaker 10 (02:47:21):
Asthma and COPD.
Speaker 20 (02:47:23):
I don't even know if I could be around this
kind of smoke.
Speaker 13 (02:47:25):
She still didn't say two words.
Speaker 21 (02:47:28):
I go back to driving.
Speaker 38 (02:47:29):
I see the red light light up.
Speaker 10 (02:47:30):
I said, really?
Speaker 2 (02:47:31):
I said, that's so rude and disrespectful.
Speaker 21 (02:47:33):
She still didn't say anything.
Speaker 23 (02:47:36):
Just smiled at her.
Speaker 2 (02:47:38):
So you dropped her off?
Speaker 3 (02:47:39):
She said, get out.
Speaker 2 (02:47:40):
You told her to get out on the highway?
Speaker 11 (02:47:42):
Yeah, I said, listen, I said, you got to get
the hell out of here.
Speaker 16 (02:47:46):
And now she can speak.
Speaker 53 (02:47:47):
She says, I'll throw it out the window.
Speaker 21 (02:47:50):
I said, at this point, you can throw yourself out
of the way.
Speaker 38 (02:47:52):
She said, we're on the freeway.
Speaker 13 (02:47:56):
I said, I've picked up people from the freeway before.
Speaker 39 (02:47:59):
I said, just pin.
Speaker 2 (02:48:00):
Your location, baby.
Speaker 48 (02:48:01):
You got to get the hell out of here.
Speaker 3 (02:48:03):
Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (02:48:05):
Sarah's a boss.
Speaker 38 (02:48:06):
If I explain to you, I have, if I explain
to you, I have asthma and COPD and you continue.
Speaker 28 (02:48:11):
To smoke, you don't give a damn about me.
Speaker 3 (02:48:14):
I'm with you, Sarah.
Speaker 2 (02:48:15):
I'm with you. Love you, Sarah. Uber Sarah, you're the greatest.
Speaker 23 (02:48:19):
I love you guys more.
Speaker 20 (02:48:21):
And don't think anything about those negative comments.
Speaker 14 (02:48:24):
The hell with them.
Speaker 2 (02:48:25):
Oh, thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:48:26):
They were funny.
Speaker 2 (02:48:26):
We love you.
Speaker 3 (02:48:27):
Check out our social media to understand what she's talking about,
by the way.
Speaker 2 (02:48:31):
Marco, what's up, Marco?
Speaker 14 (02:48:34):
Hey guys, how's it going?
Speaker 2 (02:48:35):
It's going good.
Speaker 12 (02:48:36):
Oh no.
Speaker 2 (02:48:36):
You know who this is? Marco, tell everybody who you are.
Speaker 12 (02:48:38):
I am Marco.
Speaker 21 (02:48:41):
I was at the Tigers game on the street.
Speaker 2 (02:48:45):
Bro, I wasn't going to say nothing. Maybe Marco on
the phone with us right now.
Speaker 14 (02:48:49):
You know, I totally have a new trust for Kevin.
Thank you for not letting the cat out.
Speaker 2 (02:48:56):
Exactly. Take care, Marco. I like your shoes, Kevin. Appreciate it, bro.
Speaker 12 (02:49:00):
I like your shoes, Kevin.
Speaker 14 (02:49:01):
Seriously.
Speaker 12 (02:49:02):
Appreciate you. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:49:03):
It was great getting to spend time with you at
the game, Marco.
Speaker 14 (02:49:06):
Yeah, my wife and I had a ball.
Speaker 2 (02:49:08):
We had a great time.
Speaker 12 (02:49:09):
You guys are the best. I swear to God.
Speaker 2 (02:49:11):
Take care of yourself, man. WKQI Detroit.
Speaker 8 (02:49:15):
WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids.
Speaker 2 (02:49:17):
WVPS Toledo. An iHeartRadio station.
Speaker 18 (02:49:20):
Guaranteed human.
Speaker 2 (02:49:22):
Real people.
Speaker 18 (02:49:23):
Real stories.
Speaker 2 (02:49:25):
Real laughs. Real smelly.
Speaker 9 (02:49:28):
And real dumb sometimes.
Speaker 12 (02:49:30):
Mojo.
Speaker 2 (02:49:35):
Mojo in the morning. I still haven't done our Mojo
in the morning. B's and C's get degrees. I'm going
to do it before the end of this radio show,
which might be one of my favorites that we've had
in the last month. We've had some great topics, great calls.
If you missed the five lies, tell your mom phone scam.
(02:49:55):
You can go check that out. That's up in podcast.
Second date updates coming up. And that's also podcast to
Mojo in the morning show. It could lead to a divorce.
Speaker 3 (02:50:07):
Are there certain things that you and Chels do not
do because you know that it would just be bad?
Speaker 1 (02:50:14):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:50:15):
For your relationship?
Speaker 2 (02:50:17):
Board games with other couples.
Speaker 3 (02:50:20):
Oh, really?
Speaker 12 (02:50:21):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:50:21):
Because she is extremely competitive to a point where she
actually will chirp you while you're playing board games.
Speaker 39 (02:50:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:50:29):
Try to make you seem like you're really dumb, which
I don't think I'm a really dumb, dumb guy, but
I get.
Speaker 3 (02:50:35):
I love that we all look at each other.
Speaker 2 (02:50:36):
And we'll play a board game. And if she, if we're,
if there's a group of us playing, like, you know,
another couple of friends of ours, I will purposely get
so pissed off at her or make, try to make
her lose.
Speaker 15 (02:50:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:50:50):
Like I gave, like I gave our friend Courtney all
of my properties in Monopoly one time.
Speaker 3 (02:50:55):
Oh, Monopoly.
Speaker 2 (02:50:56):
And Chelsea was pissed. She wouldn't talk to me for it. But,
Go on. I know you wanted a short story.
Speaker 3 (02:51:01):
So Wes and I were running errands, and I actually
genuinely love running errands with him. When I say that,
it's like Costco, Target, food prep, like meal prep, doing returns, whatever,
getting the car washed, getting dog food. I just like
spending that time with him. He's actually a really fun
person to do that with. Well, so while we were
doing that, he gets a call from one of his
(02:51:21):
buddies saying, who asked what we were doing. And when
Wes said, oh, you know, we're basically running errands all day.
He said he never, ever, ever has run errands with
his wife because if he did, he knows it would
be a situation of like her being in Target. And
after 10 minutes of her walking around, him getting irritated
(02:51:44):
and being like, okay, hurry up. We need to go.
And she would just be pissed and that would be done.
He's like, we would get divorced if we ever ran
errands together. So that's an activity that they she does
all of the things, the shopping, the dropping off the
dry cleaning, whatever it means. They will never do it
together because he thinks he's smart. They'll get divorced.
Speaker 2 (02:52:06):
He's a smart guy because he knows his limitations and
he's got no patience. And, you know, yeah, don't do that. Yeah,
I could see that. I know couples that they can't
do that. Like they, they can't do that thing. And
I know couples that they can't like do yard work
or things around their house because if they do like
(02:52:26):
think like you're, Hey, we're going to tackle a project.
They can't tackle a project. Chelsea and I also cannot
clean our garage out together because she is like, to me,
I don't like taking everything out of the garage and
having to re put the whole stuff back in there.
I'm just like, I'll just start cleaning whatever the crap
is that we'd want to get out of there and
then leave stuff wherever. She likes to take everything out,
(02:52:49):
put it on the driveway.
Speaker 9 (02:52:51):
That's Wes.
Speaker 12 (02:52:52):
Really?
Speaker 21 (02:52:52):
That's Wes.
Speaker 2 (02:52:53):
And then she wants to power wash the goddamn thing.
And then she wants to air it out for a
little bit so we don't have to put everything back.
So I got crap in my driveway. It looks like
I'm having a garage sale. I had somebody come up
to my house one time and go, how much for this?
I'm like, it's not for sale, bud. Man, I'm telling you,
(02:53:13):
being married is not even a thing. Anna, stay single, girl.
Speaker 12 (02:53:18):
Noted.
Speaker 2 (02:53:18):
You are in such a happier place.
Speaker 23 (02:53:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:53:21):
This is good.
Speaker 10 (02:53:22):
I feel like shopping is one of those things, too.
Because to get to a point, I'm good for about
two stores. Once it starts getting beyond that and I'm
spending more time sitting on the couch than actually walking
around the places, I'll get really irritated. And then it'll
ruin your shopping experience. And I've gotten arguments of that.
Speaker 2 (02:53:42):
Like, you know what?
Speaker 10 (02:53:43):
I want you to go out and enjoy the shopping
because what will eventually happen is I'll be ready to
go and I'll vocalize my frustration.
Speaker 3 (02:53:52):
And I'm just getting started.
Speaker 2 (02:53:54):
I love shopping. Like, I love going to the mall
or whatever with Chelsea. I remember the first time I
ever went into a Zara, and I didn't even know
what a Zara was. I knew that you guys would
mention Zara from time to time, but I never shop
at Zara. They don't have my size at Zara. So
I go into Zara. I was Zara magnified. I loved it.
You loved it? It was awesome. And then we would
(02:54:16):
go to different. I love going to the Chelsea stores
or the, like, Shannon stores, Anna stores. I like going
to the stores that you guys go to more than
even the stores that I go to.
Speaker 24 (02:54:25):
Why?
Speaker 40 (02:54:25):
Why?
Speaker 2 (02:54:25):
Because I get to see what everything's all about. I
like it. What do you mean? Back, you know, we
would go to Express. I would sit on that comfy, like,
velvety chair that they had, and I would sit back
there and just look at women shopping.
Speaker 3 (02:54:41):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (02:54:42):
You get in trouble like that.
Speaker 23 (02:54:44):
Aritzia has a cafe, though.
Speaker 3 (02:54:45):
They do have a cafe.
Speaker 23 (02:54:46):
You can go to the cafe.
Speaker 3 (02:54:47):
And if you spend enough money, they'll give you gold tokens.
You get free beverages.
Speaker 2 (02:54:50):
You will get in trouble as a man in Aritzia.
I love it. There's nothing but women in there.
Speaker 14 (02:54:55):
Man.
Speaker 24 (02:54:55):
Lots.
Speaker 23 (02:54:56):
Great dressing rooms.
Speaker 2 (02:54:57):
You got to keep your head down. I know women
that love going with their guys to like Home Depot.
They find, no?
Speaker 3 (02:55:04):
Please save me. Whatever's next door, that's where I'm going.
Speaker 2 (02:55:06):
Really?
Speaker 3 (02:55:08):
Which is usually a home goods.
Speaker 2 (02:55:09):
What's up, Trevor?
Speaker 18 (02:55:10):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (02:55:11):
Hello. Yeah. You got more words? What's going on?
Speaker 21 (02:55:17):
Hold on. Hold on.
Speaker 18 (02:55:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 53 (02:55:20):
You know, I purposely am not on my wife's Amazon
account for a reason.
Speaker 4 (02:55:24):
Oh, this woman buys more things from, I could probably
put a cooler outside of.
Speaker 2 (02:55:28):
My house and the Amazon people would empty it in
like three days.
Speaker 3 (02:55:32):
But she's buying all things to make your household run.
Speaker 2 (02:55:34):
No, she's not. She's buying. Yeah. Mojo's right. She's buying
a lot of nothing. You know what it is? You
know what Amazon is Trevor? Amazon is on board and
I really don't need something. Like I've gotten to a
point now where it's like, do I reorder something that
I really know I don't really need right now? Like
I have to really think about it. I leave it
in a cart. But, but is there, do you ever,
(02:55:56):
do you ever go grocery?
Speaker 5 (02:55:57):
She bought, she, she bought her pair herself, like two
pairs of shoes, like on my birthday.
Speaker 2 (02:56:04):
And she's like, I bought myself a birthday present for you.
Speaker 3 (02:56:08):
I like her.
Speaker 2 (02:56:10):
Trevor, can you guys go grocery shopping together? Because that's
one thing also that Chelsea and I have a hard
time doing because I don't like going to certain parts
of the store and she goes just to get things
that we need.
Speaker 3 (02:56:20):
Don't you divide and conquer though?
Speaker 2 (02:56:22):
No, no. I think, I think I'm the problem. We
go grocery shopping though.
Speaker 3 (02:56:25):
Cause I'll just start throwing stuff in the car.
Speaker 2 (02:56:27):
Like, Oh, that sounds good.
Speaker 21 (02:56:28):
That sounds good.
Speaker 2 (02:56:29):
That sounds good.
Speaker 3 (02:56:30):
Oh, just like she does on Amazon.
Speaker 2 (02:56:31):
Right. Oh, see, here we go.
Speaker 12 (02:56:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:56:37):
No, you talk about dividing and conquer and stuff. We,
we make like a semi list of things. Like if
we're like, I always say that the worst fight that
we'll get in will be the pre Thanksgiving shopping for
like the big family stuff coming over. I get excited
over seeing things. You know what I mean? Like I
like going down aisles, like the seasonal aisles and I like,
you know, I love, can I tell you what else
(02:57:00):
I love? The dairy section. I love going. And honestly,
I I'm obsessed with cottage cheeses and there's all kinds
of different cottage cheeses. I go into the cottage cheese.
area and I just sit there and I look at
all of them and Chelsea's like, You always pick the
same one. Why are you looking at all these other
cottage cheeses? You lost me with that. Why am I weird?
Speaker 3 (02:57:22):
Cottage cheese and nectarine vagina. The two loves of his
life we learned today.
Speaker 2 (02:57:27):
By the way, I'm going to go into a Kroger
and I'm going to hold up some nectarines and I'm
going to say, ladies.
Speaker 3 (02:57:35):
If you know, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:57:36):
Do you and Wes.
Get in any fights at any things like you could
you say that wes is good shopping.
Speaker 3 (02:57:46):
He's great i mean we're i think we're still kind
of in that phase of like we like to do
a lot of things together it's we have a hard
time if we're trying to get organized and cleaning stuff
out because i'm a keeper of things and he's a
purger of things and so there's always like what are
you what are we ever going to use that for
type of deal but.
Speaker 2 (02:58:03):
It's amazing because i always thought that differently because your
house is so clean and stuff like that but i
um you know everybody whatever you lid has its pod
you know or yin and yang or whatever the deal
is yeah but um chelsea no chelsea and i are
this chelsea wants to throw everything away like there's i'm
like you just bought that like a week ago and
you're already ready to throw like you know what i
(02:58:23):
mean like what are you doing i cannot throw stuff
out yeah i have a hard time so yeah crazy all.
Speaker 10 (02:58:29):
Right so you go in the grocery store And you
just look at cottage cheese.
Speaker 23 (02:58:35):
The dairy aisle is his favorite.
Speaker 2 (02:58:38):
That's what you like to do in there? I sometimes
will recommend to people.
Speaker 23 (02:58:41):
The other shoppers.
Speaker 2 (02:58:44):
I wouldn't do that one. Ma'am, I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (02:58:47):
Put that one back.
Speaker 2 (02:58:48):
Trust me.
Speaker 28 (02:58:51):
More than 20 million podcast downloads in 2025. And Mojo
did most of them.
Speaker 18 (02:58:57):
This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (02:59:01):
It's time for more Mojo.
Speaker 33 (02:59:02):
Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 18 (02:59:05):
It's the second date update on Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 2 (02:59:08):
Second date update on the Mojo in the morning show.
Finding out why you're not getting a call back after
you went on a date. How long ago, Katie, has
it been since your date that you guys have been
with each other?
Speaker 22 (02:59:26):
It's been two weeks.
Speaker 2 (02:59:28):
So you guys have not been together in two weeks
and you're wondering why you thought the date went great
what was the date.
Speaker 54 (02:59:37):
We just went to a dinner okay and just had
dinner and conversation anything afterwards um we just like talked
in his car after that was just talk just talking.
Speaker 17 (02:59:54):
Um i mean we we kissed a.
Speaker 2 (02:59:58):
Little Okay, so dinner, a little kissing, and hanging out
in his car. Did he try to get you to
go with him somewhere, or was the intention that you
guys were just going to stay in the car?
Speaker 22 (03:00:16):
Just in the car, and then I went home.
Speaker 2 (03:00:20):
What was it that you guys said to each other
right before you left? What did you say to him?
What did he say to you?
Speaker 22 (03:00:25):
Talk soon.
Speaker 3 (03:00:29):
Talk soon.
Speaker 23 (03:00:30):
And then you don't talk soon.
Speaker 2 (03:00:31):
And then when you, when you got it, when you
get into your car, did you have that feeling inside? Like,
you know how sometimes you get those butterfly feelings inside
where you're just like, that was really good. That was
a good day. Yeah.
Speaker 54 (03:00:45):
I thought he was really cute.
Speaker 22 (03:00:48):
And, um, I thought he respected what I had to say.
Speaker 12 (03:00:53):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (03:00:54):
Uh, but that was, but then he didn't call it.
All right.
Speaker 14 (03:00:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:00:58):
Katie, say hello to Colin. Hi.
Speaker 22 (03:01:04):
Oh, hi.
Speaker 2 (03:01:07):
Colin, is everything okay? Are you okay? Please tell us
that you've been in the hospital or something.
Speaker 21 (03:01:12):
No, I'm okay.
Speaker 2 (03:01:14):
You're okay? What's the deal?
Speaker 17 (03:01:16):
I mean, nothing really.
Speaker 42 (03:01:23):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:01:26):
Well, there's obviously something that you did not like and
therefore have not reached back out to her.
Speaker 1 (03:01:34):
Well, I think we just have different interests and values
and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (03:01:43):
Like what? What was said that didn't align with you?
Speaker 1 (03:01:47):
Well, she told me that she wants to wait That's
the way he just gets married, you know, before we
have sex.
Speaker 2 (03:02:02):
And you got a problem with that? You're not into that?
Speaker 21 (03:02:06):
Well, you know, you need to test the car, you know.
Speaker 2 (03:02:11):
Don't say it like that. You got to test the car.
I don't think it's a problem, though.
Speaker 17 (03:02:19):
What do you mean?
Speaker 10 (03:02:19):
Well, no, Mojo said, and you have a problem with that.
I don't think that's the right way to phrase it.
Speaker 2 (03:02:24):
What is it, then? It just doesn't align with where
he's at in his life.
Speaker 39 (03:02:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (03:02:28):
Okay.
Speaker 34 (03:02:29):
Yeah, it's like, I mean, like, if we're not intimate,
how am I.
Speaker 21 (03:02:35):
Supposed to fall in love with you?
Speaker 23 (03:02:37):
So it's not even that.
Speaker 3 (03:02:38):
Okay, well, that's a crazy thing to say, but that.
Speaker 2 (03:02:40):
Was a little crazy.
Speaker 45 (03:02:41):
It's not even that you were just trying to hook up, like,
the first night. You're just saying, in general, before you
get married, you would like to do that.
Speaker 24 (03:02:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:02:50):
Yeah, of course. I see that.
Speaker 21 (03:02:51):
We did not.
Speaker 1 (03:02:52):
Yeah, first night is okay. It's not like I need
to hook up with somebody first night.
Speaker 21 (03:02:56):
But ever? Like, what if we don't get married for
two years, three years?
Speaker 2 (03:03:01):
Like, what? Katie, if you don't mind me asking, Katie,
and if it's out of line, just say, I don't
want to answer. Are you a virgin?
Speaker 18 (03:03:07):
Um, yeah.
Speaker 24 (03:03:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 54 (03:03:12):
And he seemed like he was okay with that.
Speaker 2 (03:03:16):
How old are you? How old are you, Katie?
Speaker 17 (03:03:22):
22.
Speaker 2 (03:03:23):
Okay. Katie, are you able or willing to do other things?
Speaker 10 (03:03:27):
Or is, you know, no form of sexual contact allowed
until marriage?
Speaker 2 (03:03:31):
She was kissing in the car. You know what I'm
talking about, though.
Speaker 22 (03:03:35):
I don't want to answer that on the radio, but,
you know... calling you.
Speaker 54 (03:03:41):
Seem like you really respected my boundaries.
Speaker 22 (03:03:45):
On the car and I'm just kind of shocked that
this wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (03:03:51):
Be okay for you I mean I do respect your
boundaries I'm not a jerk and that's why I didn't
do anything more than kiss because that's what you wanted
to do but I'm not gonna not get intimate with
somebody after dating with them like until marriage like I
don't even know if I want to get married anytime soon,
(03:04:13):
so it's.
Speaker 21 (03:04:15):
A big deal.
Speaker 3 (03:04:16):
I get what you're saying, Colin, and I completely respect
and understand what she's doing. You just don't go together.
Speaker 2 (03:04:23):
Yeah, you guys aren't going to be a match.
Speaker 3 (03:04:25):
And that's okay.
Speaker 2 (03:04:29):
I'd like to ask listeners this question, though. I'd like
to ask listeners... Do you think that you could either
do what Katie is doing, or do you think you
are more like Colin? Because this is interesting, the idea
that he's like, I want to make sure that I
have sex with somebody before I decide I'm going to
(03:04:50):
have a long-time relationship. I think Katie's circumstances, seeing that
she is a virgin, I think that, you know what?
I think as a guy, you've got to also respect that.
Like if the girl all of a sudden says to you,
you know, hey, we're not having sex before we get married. Well,
(03:05:13):
are you having sex with anybody else? Like, I want
to know what the story would be. It's not like
Katie's going out and having sex with other people, but
not having sex with Colin.
Speaker 3 (03:05:20):
Well, that wouldn't even make sense.
Speaker 2 (03:05:22):
Well, sometimes it could. You never know.
Speaker 10 (03:05:24):
There's some guy versions out here, too, though.
Speaker 2 (03:05:27):
Yeah? Are there any?
Speaker 9 (03:05:29):
Call us.
Speaker 2 (03:05:29):
I want to hear. I mean, we was out drinking
with one a couple of weeks ago. Really? Yeah.
Speaker 14 (03:05:34):
When?
Speaker 10 (03:05:34):
I wasn't there. He was with the girl that you
met on the airplane. It was a part of that group.
Speaker 2 (03:05:40):
Oh, okay. What's up, Aaron?
Speaker 3 (03:05:41):
He's never had sex ever.
Speaker 2 (03:05:43):
Hey, Aaron.
Speaker 9 (03:05:44):
Good morning, everybody.
Speaker 2 (03:05:45):
Good morning. What's going on? Thoughts on this one?
Speaker 47 (03:05:48):
This guy's a mess, and if he can't respect her boundaries,
she just needs to let go and go find somebody
that will respect her boundaries.
Speaker 2 (03:05:56):
Aaron, Colin can hear you right now. Colin, Aaron says
you're a mess.
Speaker 21 (03:06:03):
Well, he doesn't know me, so.
Speaker 9 (03:06:05):
It sounded like he did respect... Why do you say
he's a mess?
Speaker 39 (03:06:08):
Yeah, he did.
Speaker 21 (03:06:08):
I mean, I want to respect him.
Speaker 1 (03:06:10):
I'm a mess because I don't... I want to have
interrelationships with my girlfriend, like, after.
Speaker 21 (03:06:15):
Dating her, even before marriage. Like, that's not being a mess.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (03:06:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 47 (03:06:20):
No, but you're trying to put her as a new vehicle.
Speaker 12 (03:06:23):
You can't do that.
Speaker 47 (03:06:25):
Those are two different topics.
Speaker 2 (03:06:26):
Yeah, that comment was wild. I agree with that one.
Speaker 54 (03:06:28):
He did say I was like a car, Colin.
Speaker 3 (03:06:31):
Like, I'm a little.
Speaker 39 (03:06:33):
I thought.
Speaker 18 (03:06:34):
If.
Speaker 2 (03:06:34):
You're a car, you're a Ferrari. I'm just using that
as an example.
Speaker 1 (03:06:40):
Would you buy a car without trying it?
Speaker 21 (03:06:42):
That's what people say. It was just an example.
Speaker 2 (03:06:44):
I didn't call you a car. What's going on, Chris? Hey, guys.
Speaker 51 (03:06:50):
I just feel like with society today and the way
that relationships are, there's such blurred lines in so many
different areas where... not much is sacred for men and
women in the relationship anymore. And for her to set
these boundaries and to stand on it, I think that's
(03:07:10):
really admirable. And it's his loss in the end.
Speaker 2 (03:07:14):
So good for her. Okay.
Speaker 54 (03:07:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:07:17):
Another Chris on the phone with us right now. What's up, Chris?
Speaker 12 (03:07:22):
I was wondering if Katie wanted to go out. I'm 22.
I don't care about any intimate, you know, anything like that.
Speaker 9 (03:07:28):
Whoa. You a virgin?
Speaker 12 (03:07:32):
I'm a college student, you know. I don't really care
about any of that.
Speaker 2 (03:07:35):
Where do you go to school, Chris?
Speaker 14 (03:07:37):
Not a virgin.
Speaker 12 (03:07:38):
Macomb Community College.
Speaker 2 (03:07:39):
I like it. And Chris, maybe, hold on one second. Katie,
do you need for your partner to be a virgin also?
Speaker 54 (03:07:48):
No, that's not, I mean, as long as our relationship
is that safe space, you know, where we're waiting for.
Speaker 22 (03:07:58):
Each other, I'm cool with that.
Speaker 9 (03:08:00):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (03:08:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:08:01):
Hey, Fran.
Speaker 3 (03:08:02):
Yeah, I mean, I'd be.
Speaker 9 (03:08:04):
You'll be okay.
Speaker 2 (03:08:06):
I'll get Chris's number. What's up, Fran?
Speaker 14 (03:08:10):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (03:08:11):
I just had a comment.
Speaker 25 (03:08:13):
I think it's really wild for him to say he's
not going to fall in love with her unless he
has sex with her. Like, she's been saving it for
22 years.
Speaker 16 (03:08:20):
Who do you think you.
Speaker 22 (03:08:21):
Are that she's just going to give it to you
after the first date? Like, that's wild.
Speaker 21 (03:08:25):
Excuse me. I didn't say fall in love. And I
didn't say sleep on his first date.
Speaker 25 (03:08:32):
He said, how do you think I'm going to fall
in love with you if you won't be intimate?
Speaker 21 (03:08:36):
How do you become intimate with somebody?
Speaker 25 (03:08:37):
Sex is not the only form of intimacy.
Speaker 22 (03:08:40):
That's not the only form of intimacy.
Speaker 21 (03:08:41):
It's part of it.
Speaker 22 (03:08:43):
There's so much more.
Speaker 54 (03:08:45):
Part of it, but it's not the only part.
Speaker 25 (03:08:47):
And if that's the most important part, then you just, girl, run.
Speaker 12 (03:08:52):
Run.
Speaker 20 (03:08:53):
Thanks, girl.
Speaker 2 (03:08:55):
Angie, what's up, Angie? Angie?
Speaker 9 (03:08:59):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (03:09:00):
Good morning. What's going on? Second date update.
Speaker 11 (03:09:04):
Yeah, I have to have sex before marriage.
Speaker 38 (03:09:10):
What about if the.
Speaker 9 (03:09:10):
Partner is bad in bed?
Speaker 2 (03:09:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 36 (03:09:13):
And you marry them and then you're like stuck.
Speaker 11 (03:09:17):
And yeah, no, I'll pass.
Speaker 2 (03:09:21):
Angie, you may be the woman for Colin. I don't
know if there's an age difference here. Colin, what do
you think? You and Angie, you guys. I mean. Take
it for a drive.
Speaker 9 (03:09:32):
I just like the support.
Speaker 21 (03:09:33):
The support is great.
Speaker 2 (03:09:34):
The support is great.
Speaker 12 (03:09:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:09:36):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 21 (03:09:38):
Somebody is understanding that.
Speaker 14 (03:09:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (03:09:41):
Everyone else is thinking it, but they're just not saying it.
Speaker 2 (03:09:43):
I love it.
Speaker 12 (03:09:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:09:44):
All right. Hold on a second. I got a voice
disguise D. D, you're being voice disguised. Initial D.
Speaker 3 (03:09:51):
What's up, guys?
Speaker 21 (03:09:52):
How we doing?
Speaker 2 (03:09:53):
Good. Why do you want to be voice disguised?
Speaker 49 (03:09:57):
I don't want, like, my friend to hear me say this,
but we're all very, like, my entire friend group is
very disappointed in him because he's dating a girl who's, like,
Katie's cool.
Speaker 33 (03:10:09):
Katie's young. She's 22 years old. She's a virgin.
Speaker 49 (03:10:12):
I respect that. We should all respect that, right? But
my friend is dating.
Speaker 33 (03:10:16):
A girl who.
Speaker 49 (03:10:18):
I guess we just found out. It's been, like, four
or five months we were golfing, and we're like, so
how is it? You know, just guy talk. And he's like, oh,
we haven't yet. she's waiting for marriage. But we all
know this girl, and we all know that, like, she
was a super HOE.
Speaker 33 (03:10:36):
Like, she's got.
Speaker 49 (03:10:39):
30, 40 bodies on her, but now she's making my
boy wait till marriage.
Speaker 33 (03:10:43):
That doesn't feel right.
Speaker 2 (03:10:44):
She's a born again. Are you sure that she's not?
Is she born again, or is she just lying about it?
Speaker 33 (03:10:52):
It had nothing to do with the religion.
Speaker 12 (03:10:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 49 (03:10:54):
He didn't really go into detail because I feel like
he kind of felt a little embarrassed because we all
know the situation, but we're also like.
Speaker 2 (03:11:02):
Does he know now that she's been with other girls
or been with other guys? People can change, though. Yeah,
but is it that she changed or that she's just
lying to him about.
Speaker 33 (03:11:16):
Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 3 (03:11:17):
How would you feel, Kev, if the girl was.
Speaker 33 (03:11:19):
Like, I changed, Kev. I'm sorry. You're not going to
get none now.
Speaker 2 (03:11:24):
I would be understanding of it.
Speaker 10 (03:11:26):
I'm not sure if I would continue to pursue her
in that way if that's all that I wanted. But
I know girls who used to live a certain type
of lifestyle, and now they don't want to live that
young lifestyle in that way anymore, and they're completely different women.
And they're allowed to evolve.
Speaker 12 (03:11:43):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (03:11:43):
I think a lot of times when they do that,
they do it because they want to find the right person,
not just some guy to have sex with. Yeah, they
done getting ran through. All right, let's go back to Colin. Colin,
best of luck to you, my friend.
Speaker 17 (03:11:56):
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (03:11:58):
All right, hold on. Katie, best of luck to you.
You sound great, and I'm going to get you Chris's number, okay?
Speaker 22 (03:12:04):
Okay, thank you, guys.
Speaker 2 (03:12:06):
Appreciate you.
Speaker 28 (03:12:07):
You're home of War of the Roses, the five lies
to tell your mom phone scams, and Shannon's dirty on
the 30.
Speaker 18 (03:12:12):
This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (03:12:14):
All right, that does it for today. Make sure that
you're with us starting very early tomorrow, 6 o'clock. Be
there for the 6.30 Mojo Secret Sound. Do you know
the secret sound? For a chance to win $ 5, 000, we'll
(03:12:34):
play again tomorrow morning. Have a great day, you guys.
Thanks for listening to Showdown.
Speaker 8 (03:12:39):
20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo,
and West Michigan.
Speaker 3 (03:12:45):
It's Mojo in the morning.
