Speaker 1 (00:01):
Fleas Ford and Hayley's Little bit of Pod.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Great things are brewing at mcafe, the perfect start to
every day.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome to a little bit of Pod. I did something
o the week and I reckon, we'll give you a
bit of a stuffy flitch. Okay. Oh, I bought some
new vacuum seal bags and sealed up some stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I use these a lot, although it's always jarring after
that Netflix series Dope Fuck with Cats.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh that's right, Oh lit the cat in there?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Right?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Shut up?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Is that that whole thing is awful?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Forgotten about that?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Over COVID as well, that pre ages ago.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, in the twenty twenty maybe twenty twenty was COVID No.
Twenty one, the first lockdown.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
We're two that year.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
The back Oka was twenty into twenty nineteen.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, yeah, that was full noise that doc. I no,
so yeah. I needed to fit a whole lot of
big fluffy star off into a suitcase going away.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Okay, wait, you haven't thought.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
No, I know, we've got a fucking problem on our hands.
At the other end of things, when I have to
get it all back into the same suitcase to bring
it home, I've just got to find a vacuum planner,
what like, we're in the middle of the bush. No.
So the trip I'm going on, I leave from Tiarnal,
but there's a quarantine center, so we take it all
into the quarantine center.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
That's for those that haven't heard the big pot. You're
going to a Department of Conservation island.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Pator freeze, a whole lot of hoops you got to
jump through and fair enough to the millions and millions
of dollars if it's spent saving the cuckable. So you
don't want to drag anything on under woard. So you're
going to wash all your clothes and then you've got
to kind of seal them. And I was like, well,
i'll seal them, but I'll also suckle the air out
of the bag so I can fit them in the suitcase.
The suitcase doesn't come with me to the island. They

(01:51):
give me a big pack that they've checked, right, and
I take everything I want to take and put it
in the pack, because I don't want you to take
in your own pack because of all the nooks and
crannies and a backpack. Yeah, previous expeditions, seeds and such.
Fair enough, it is totally. It's amazing the detail of
you know, they go to it this quarantine place, so
when I get there, they'll undo it and check all

(02:14):
the clothes I'm taking to make sure there's no stole.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
To They even go through your knickers, your pennies, you
choose some good knickers.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yeah, I'm taking all my nice knickers. Yeah, like a
special wash of all my nice nicker.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yes, okaycause if you know they're going through the mate.
I've got some embarrassing ones. My favorite one that's.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Saying at Home. Yeah, my favorite of the most comfy,
comfy ones, but that's saying at Home. So they will
open it there and I'll put the stuff in another
bag and take it work. Now when I get back
to the quarantine station and I get back into my
normal clothes and all of the stuff that I also
think by that stage could be quite wet. Yeah, it
has to go back into the sircase. It's at that
stage you need to find a vacuum cleaner.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
But what if you don't, You're gonna be screwed.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
What about the server station that has one of those
carvic Because.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I could literally just pile it all in and be like,
let's find a service station with the vacuum cleaner.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Or what about remember shar I bought one of those
team like car vacuums.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, guys would have had the I've shorted out of
vacuum cleaner once, but I used the big karch a
wit and drive ac on this thing. Oh yeah, yeah,
that's what I use. I've got one of those.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
But I used the dice once and it just stopped
too much.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
But just don't quit the car.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Laugh, got it, it's I love it. You put your
summer clothes away or your winter close in.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah. Same.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
But I bought ship bags, so it all eventually here
and now it's all just sit in the garage just
and sort of the cheapest.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Way to do it was to get a five pack.
I used three for my expedition, so I had two
and this huge one called the exix out.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I love.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I go one of the I put two massive fucking
douvets in it. Big douvets. Yeah, put two of them
in there and squashed it and sealed it shut. I
was like, I don't know how much I'm gonna get out.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
They go to nothing a but here it's like when
you get those, you know, you see you see people
getting those like latex beds and they're in a tiny box.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, and then they unfold it and you pull the
tab and it goes insane, so insane.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
So yeah, that's the problem.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
What are you going to do?

Speaker 3 (04:18):
You can't find a vacuum.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Why why don't you just take two bags I might
have on the you have to find a bear. Well,
now you need to find a bed because you're leaving
from here. You haven't thought this through.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
No, it's all no because I can get another bag. No, No,
because I can get another bag in Queenstone because that's
the airport and flying back out of No. Yeah, I'm
going to be going into the warehouse and being like
where are they there? Where are those red white and
blue tricolor?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
A lot of airlines have banned those because break they
get tangled up in.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
The baggage and then tear open and then you.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, then you're nice, niket.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, well they won't be nice at that stage. You're
probably be very muddy and very weird. Yeah, and I
have some explaining to do, disaster. Yeah, But anyway, I
said the shadows, like when we get back, we're going
to use the ones that they took and we're gonna
get some more. We're going to do the whole hot
water cup, which kind of defeats the purpose of it
being a hot water cup, right because the idea is
the weir and there so dry, it keeps everything dry.
Yeah yeah, but if it's dry and then good for space,

(05:21):
So yeah good. I'm talking your do bats, your sleeping bags,
your stuff that you don't use very often, towels and
stuff will yeah, so god breathing. But I'm really looking
forward to it. Something that's love
