Producer Shannon witnessed something in public. This has never happened
to me in public?

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Really?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Has it happened two years and happened to you?

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Kind of? Yeah? During a shift at work?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
What you saw two teenagers breaking up?

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Wait, and then you have been broken up with at
a shift at work?

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Yeah? Have I not told you that story?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Now?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Are you working?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
I was a waitress and on Valentine's Day?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Oh wow, wow.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
I was like, after the shift, let's keep swing And
he's like.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Nah, did he say this in person? Was a vets?

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah? In person he was a waiter.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Oh wait, you had a workplace, man, you know that's
I never heard something so sixy in my whole life.
Out by the smirch is where maggots are?

Speaker 4 (01:02):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
So?

Speaker 1 (01:03):
What was happening with these two teenagers?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
So? I was waiting for her breats for dinner?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
And what did you order?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I got Peter pet which was a bit rogue.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
But it was yeah, okay for dinner.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, it was after Queenstown. So we'd had a big
travel day.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, yeah, interesting and thought you might have gone for
something warmer.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Well, so I ordered. There's a lot of details, it
doesn't get it. But so I was standing there waiting
for my dinner and I hear this girl, my guess
was about sixteen, sobbing, and she sounded like she'd consume
some alcohol, not in.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Moderation, okay, because here at the show, yes, always consuming
alcohol in moderation.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Really yeah, So yeah, she was slurring her words a bit,
and she's like, Peters, can't be with someone who's like you.
And he's like, no, I could change, It'll be okay.
She's like, no, it's just not going to work. And
they are, like very publicly on the side of Nelson Street,
one of the biggest streets in Auckland, breaking up, and
she's kind of shoving him and he's.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Trying to know.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
It's just like classic sixteen year olds, but I'm just standing.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
That that was your age, guess sixteen.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah. She seemed like she'd had like three cruises and
he had had four, and it was just it was over. Yeah.
So my whole time standing there, they were just kind
of breaking up.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
And then, but did you secretly love listening to the drama?

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Of course I was messaging all my friends. Yes, people
are breaking up, but yeah, I didn't get the conclusion
because yeah, it was very back and forth. I got
my dinner before it, didn't You.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Do you think he can change?

Speaker 4 (02:35):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I don't think people can change.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I don't think he could have changed from them, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
He was just a do it bag.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Often the people saying I can change that can quite often.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
The funniest thing about it is they had another friend
maybe one or two meters away, kind of leaning against a.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Wall, like a third wheel breakup for you.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yeah, and I didn't think he was connected to the group,
but at one point he chimed in and I was like, oh,
he's like consultant.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So he was the guy a break up?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, yeah, I reckon. You've got a classic case of
takes his boys everywhereis yes, Yeah, when you're dating someone
and they always bring a friend with him, and you're like,
can that guy fuck off?

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Yeah? It did feel like that, so I hope they well,
I hope well yeah. Yeah. This was also at like
four pm. Oh, maybe a bit later, but we've got
I ordered my dinner on the way home from the airport.
Yeah right, okay, drop my bags upstairs.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Came down horrible in daylight, daylight, public daylight. Break up horrible.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
If only to be in the middle of winter, it
would have been dark.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yeah, to hide the tears.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
If you want to break up late afternoon, make it winter,
Make it winter with the darkness. Can can hide the tears.
