Speaker 2 (00:04):
Plee Haley's little bit of Pod Treat yourself to mcafe
Coffee with my Maca's rewards.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Welcome to a little bit of pod. And you'll know
this my friend has been saying from the Dominican Republic.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh, he's an absolute delight as delight. We said he
was like a little lamb learning how to walk.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
He was actually held a lamb. And when we went
to Queenstown. Yeah, and it's very cold, and he's been
doing all of this, you know that we've been I've
been showing him New Zealand. That he's been exploring New Zealand.
And do you know the one thing that he loves
the mice? What does he love not not the fact
that he saw snow for the first time, stunning Vesta,
or that we went you know, we're in Queenstown. I
mean he did love all of that. Yeah, but he

(00:44):
won't stop going on about the warehouse. It's a great
place where everybody gets a bargain. It's a great place.
We went in to grab some stuff. I was I'm
just going to go on here. Just come with me.
I'll just grab it a few things. Yeah, and he
was just like oh my god, everything is so cheap.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
But surely he's aware of your walmarts.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Well, we were talking They've got lots of my keyas
my Kea stores and I was like republic. Yeah. I
was like, what are you amazed by the warehouse? He's like,
I notice everything is so cheap? What is they don't
do warmer that? He said, they don't have Walmart and
the DRH.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I wouldn't. I just thought, like, you know, culturally, we're
all kind of familiar with the Walmart.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. He just said every like
he said clothes. I was like, is pretty sack. I mean,
you've got your favorite winter trackis from the warehouse.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Always always get them.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I said, you just wait till you go into a kmart.
Oh god, little shock, your bloody blowers mine. The warehouse
is such a key we vibe though as well. I
wonder if it's just like a bit of a culture thing,
because still has like a very kind of slick, stylized
americanized presentation.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Wedhouse, this house is key.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
We threw and throat it is. Yeah. Yeah, But I
just got thinking, like when I terble, I had to
love going into places like supermarkets.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Pharmacies, pharmacy, American pharmacies.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, the American drug stores. Yeah, buy like three leater
bottles of vodka like.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Thailand and you get like great pills for a bark
and a pack of ciggies.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
You're talking about pharmacies anymore.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I think you are about.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah. I love being overseas and just seeing the stuff.
Not the great shops that are there for the tourists,
just the stuff that you're like, oh my god, this
is where you shop.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Didn't they have tightened up on that though, haven't they?
And Asia, Yeah, we used to.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
You didn't need a prescription. Yeah, blue, Yeah, that's where Yeah,
that was an experimental time in my life born and
I tell you I won't be doing that again.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Was like an avatar.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Everything was blue. I was like, oh god.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
When I was on the pill, I was on one
that wasn't funded by the government, and I when I
went to a I saw it in a shop and
I was like, oh hell.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
And I bought them for like a couple of bucks,
A couple of bucks.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
For a month and what were they here?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It was about one hundred and sixty for three months?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Oh wow?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, And so I bought up a storm, and I
just random my suitcase and gone through. I just didn't
declare anything.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I don't think that you had a prescription for them.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I had a prescription for that pill. Yeah. If you
can produce a prescription up to a certain number and
a few months isn't yeah, twel I think I got
twelve months with it.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Was so wow, okay, because sometimes you're filling out those forms,
it's like, do you have more than two or three
months of medication? Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
But for a guy, and this is going back some years,
I can't remember his name. He was a mate of
a mate and he found all these cheap, stuffy pills
in India and got like so many cents in New Zealand,
but customs sees them and said, unless you can come
up with a prescription and a fishing of way, you
need this many.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Talking like a box load or something like a how
many bonus does he want?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Hundreds? Well, that's what the thing. He went to the
doctor and the doctor said yeah, and then wrote him
a prescription for it. And then he just said, well,
you know, if I want to take one of one
of these twice a week, I'm going through one hundred
a year. I believe I'll be alive and hoping to
do this for the next ten years. And they were
like well yeah, heaps, wow, okay, yeah heaps. Remember I

(04:27):
tried one. It was wild. Did you get a bonus
all weekend? It would go away? But like then the
minute you would like be like, well that's what I
took about, pearl, and then you start thinking about things back.
Why not fine?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I wasn't fun so crazy to think that that's an
accidental invention too.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, it was heart meads.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, and they were just like like people with the
heart problems, they have bonus when the hot nurse comes. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Because what was the other accidental thing that was accidentally invented?
It was a post and it people stopped smoking. I
think it was post will post. It was a thing
to help Americans recover from the thing they saw the soldiers,
and the side effect was they all stopped smoking as well.
Yeah addiction. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I remember when I was in Buffalona with my family
and then we went day to day. I never know
when to drop the softer I found when we were
in Buffalona and we went and stayed out of Bathlon
It in this tiny little village and my mum sent
me and my dad to the supermarket. We went and
they were like, you know how you can get They
sell liquor in the supermarket, but they you know how

(05:36):
you fill a flagon with beer or something, or you
get like a keg or something. They had one of those,
like a kig, but it was absence and you could
like fly.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
So you could fill up your own glass bottle of absence.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
We got a little butt thing for a joke, but
then we didn't drink it. A flagons I know. Oh,
I love traveling overseas. We should go, we should we go,
should go.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
We're gonna go.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
