in the afternoon and I said I was going to
cook it. I made like lamb coftter wraps with like
fitter and big troop.
Speaker 1 (00:24):

It was monday. You know, I'm busy.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
You guys eat bougie meals. I know, like that's outrageous.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
It was a rap.

Yeah, still at cemetery now, Yeah, your low effort. I'm
quick and easy. Goopstir fry.

I'll do a goop. I'll get some fish in a
pan and salad that's good to go. Yeah whatever the
bag salad. Yeah, I love the bag salad.

I felt like that too, but then I was shoved
in a wrap. Anyway, I got home and I did say,
should we have a drink?

Okay, we have a little glass of wine.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
So pull the three of us a glass of wine,
and I've got a new couch. More on that later,

Anyway, back to the positive thing, because now my blood
is boiling again. Let go of the fucking couch saga.
So anyway, so we sit down. So but I've got
this new couch that's arrived to replace the broken one,
and we're not allowed to eat on it. I've just
put a little roll in the because you know their
last couch.

Go I'd say that wasn't from food from the stories.

Anyway, So we all slipped down onto the floor. We're
a floor family. Were happy to just sit on the floor,
backs against the couch, having our glass of wine. And
it's then that I noticed that my parents have gone
into my garage and retrieved old records that I chose
not to bring in the house. I just would. I
was just saying, my collection in the house, not my
you know, Nana and Popper's collection that they got when

they died, and I don't know who they are.

You need to donate those or.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
The seals is about to get it done, because I
started going through them. First on the list was Conway Twitty,
old like country singer. I put some of that on.
That's nice, it was all right, it was fine. Nixt
it was Burt Bacharack, and I said.

Speaker 4 (03:02):

Because when we started on the spars like Burt, we

we did a little bit of like Glinka Campbell having
a good time.

but then I am going to have to listen through

When we start to sing along on the flo, all right,
very wholesome, doors are open, wine in hand, Where tell

It devolves and volves, and then we're doing pick an artist,
pick a song. We're doing this, and then in the
next minute, Nick minute pronounced that wrong. Nick Minute. My

mum gets up to go get a drink, and I
was like, I need to get back to what I
was doing, which was like unpacking my suitcase and repacking
for the week and whatnot. So I go into my
bedroom and then I hear Patsy saying to my dad, Craigy,
Craiggy baby. She calls her a Craigy baby, come and
dance with me.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Ah, that is so sweet.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
This is so check. They managed this whole monogamy thing.
Isn't that amazing?
Speaker 2 (05:45):
So when I hear Craigie baby, come and dance with me,
the music changes and it's blondie.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh part of glass? Do we dip away from this?
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I had a heart of glass because I walk in
and They're like arms around each other dancing in the lounge,
having this little dance, and so I come on like
a bloody Stage four clinger, and I jump in and
i'm and we have a little dance and then it
breaks into a full dance party, which lasted an hour.
And we did a sing along for an hour and
a dance party for an hour.

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm.
