He tells cohosts Linda Lane Gonzaléz, Diego Lastra, Kathryn Garcia Castro, and Court Stroud about attending the March on Washington when he was just a teenager, about his television work, including portraying Alex Haley in "Roots: The Next Generation" and working on the hit sitcom "The Jeffersons." The Baltimore native recounts working with Raúl Julia and Irene Cara in "Via Galactica" on Broadway, as well as the difficulties he encountered as a Black gay man in the entertainment field in the 1970s and 80s.
