Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in Indianapolis is celebrating its 100th anniversary as an independent seminary, offering a range of graduate programs in theology and counseling.
Founded in 1855, CTS has a rich history of pioneering change and social justice. Originally part of Butler University, CTS became a standalone seminary and has since expanded its offerings to include six graduate programs through its School of Theology and School of Counseling.
Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in Indianapolis is celebrating its 100-year anniversary as an independent seminary.
CTS offers mental health services through its Counseling Center, which provides services on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility for all, including marginalized communities.
"One of our missions at CTS is to be open and affirming and accepting and to make things accessible to folks who may or may not be able to have that accessibility," Dr. DeNeen Collins, the Director of Recruiting & Admissions at CTS, explained.
The seminary also collaborates on poverty mitigation through the Faith & Action Project, aligning with its core values of advancing scholarship, embracing diversity, and promoting justice and healing.
CTS offers scholarships for its graduate programs, providing financial assistance ranging from partial to full tuition coverage.
This initiative supports students pursuing careers in theology and counseling, fields that may not always lead to high-paying jobs.
As the Christian Theological Seminary continues to celebrate its centennial milestone, it remains committed to its mission of education, counseling, and community service, fostering an inclusive environment for all who seek to learn and grow.
