Uhtred has a return to form, making blasphemous jokes and rallying his troops to finally get Skade back. He's on fire ... or at least, setting things on fire as he tricks Cnut into leaving camp and reunites with an old friend. Meanwhile, Bloodhair's breathing his last thanks to Skade (RIP buddy) and Aethelwold is begging for mercy from Alfred after returning to Winchester and receiving a less-than-warm welcome.
