Speaker 1 (00:02):
And some of us use Monday to get back on track. Sam, however,
goes in the opposite direction.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Sam always finds the geez.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Kind of been busy this weekend looking up some new food.
Jeff has come out with squeezable peanut butter, and I
don't know why it's taken this long, since we've had
squeezable jelly for a while.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Jelly is a completely different consistency squeezable peanut butter. It's
that would be hard to squeeze unless they're adding oil
to make it more.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
I didn't say they're doing that, although they're only doing
the creamy because obviously I guess the crunching you can't
get the nuts out the tea.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, that would be difficult to do. And you know what,
I would think, peanut butter is so thick that it's
probably gonna make that funny ketchup noise if there's an
air bubble.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
That's exactly I'm telling you. They're going to have to
change the consistency of squeezable peanut butter because peanut butter
is thick by its nature.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I love this idea, though, because you know that's going
to save me a good ten seconds. Man peanut butter sand.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
It comes in a pouch too, It's not a bottle,
which no one serving at a time. Don't you hang out?
I don't have a couple of servings, but it's in
a pile so you can squeeze it.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Don't you hate messing up a knife just for one
peanut butter sandy. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
It's like because you take the knife out, you get
the peanut butter on, and it's like, now, what am
I gonna do with the jelly? Get another knife or.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
You do a jelly with a spoon. That's what we do.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Okay. By the way, you know those fluffer nutters you
make with the marshmallow cream and peanut butter. Yeah, well
the folks from Fluff have now come out with strawberry fluff. Nice,
so you can have peanut butter and strawberry fluff.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Sounds good anyway. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Kit Cat's got a new flavor for summer.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
I don't need a new flavor, just dark chocolate.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Kit Cat coming out in July, bright yellow package apple
pie flavor.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
No, the cream.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
On the outside is going to be white and apple
pie flavored.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Doff needs to stop.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
No, No, No, it doesn't. They just need to They
need to come up with a lemon one. There's got
to be a lemon kit cat.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Once they do lemon, they need to be done.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Also, Pringles is teamed up with Wendy's for Bacon Eat
or Pringles you know they have. If you can't stay
on the regular taste of Listine, how about new coconut
lime Listerine.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Then you probably don't feel like your mouth is clean?
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Yes you do, Tropical coming up with Murphy's Salmon chody
first Hollywood Outside Heer of the Morning, plus going to
our Facebook and Instagram pages for your suggestions of how
Murphy and I can embarrass our daughter at work. We
love to hear from you. Eight seven seven three one
zero for MSJA or you can hit us up on
(02:30):
Facebook or Instagram. And I want to say thank you
to everybody who chimed in the other night when Murphy
and I went to eat at the trendy little restaurant
where our daughter Taylor is now working as a hostess.
We posted this picture and I just said, hey, we
haven't embarrassed her yet, what should we do? I wanted
ideas of how to embarrass her, not that we did.
(02:51):
We'll get to that what we did and didn't do,
but we had so many phones coming in, right Bailey.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Yeah, Judy says, public display of affection.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Hey, yeah, it is date night.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
She would have been mortified. We don't do that in public.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
That's true. I guess we really don't.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
She would have been mortified.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
Okay, Holly says, take a bunch of selfies.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Alas, Man, I need to remember this for next time.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Okay, Holly, Stephany says, ask for the manager to brag
on the wonderful service.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
You're not going back to the Southee's taken pictures with Taylor.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
With her Yeah, well, you know, Jody did have Phoebe
take a picture of both of us, and Phoebe always
does her little trick where she'll take one picture of
us and then she really quickly switches the camera to selfie,
so she makes a face the bonus picture.
Speaker 6 (03:43):
Yeah, Wade says, one of you has to ask the
other one real loud so everyone can hear. When did
you get out of prison?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
That's a Sam one. Wade, right up, Sam's Allie, right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Definitely, here's a great one.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
Jeff says, you should wear a shirt with her picture
on it, both of you.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I think that's the winter.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Oh my god, that's funny.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Oh my god, that is funny.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Either that or you'll both wear shirt. It's one says
Taylor's mom, and.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
The other.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Awesome.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Oh my god, it's so funny. The truth of the
matter is, I would not ever do that to her.
I don't want to ever. I believe in being myself,
but I don't want to embarrass my kid, especially at
a new job. My gosh.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
As a person who's closer to that kind of environment,
I'm very glad that you do keep that at home,
because I can't imagine having to hear everyone else say, oh, well,
she got scheduled today, her parents are coming.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, that's the word worse. Thank you for your comments.
Hit us up on Facebook and Instagram.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Coming up. You're a Hollywood.
Speaker 7 (04:47):
Jody's Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Guys. You remember this show Unsolved Mysteries. Yeah, it started
in the late eighties. It went on for a couple
of seasons, and then those those seasons repeated forever.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, and now we have Netflix with every other button
you click on, it's some kind of unsolved.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Well, that's so funny you say that because Netflix. That's
the reason I bring it up. They're doing an Unsolved
Mysteries reboot with New Mysteries docuseries style, just like the
original style, but it's going to debut on July first,
and it's Unsolved Mysteries, the new version with on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
That's cool. My recollection of the original one though, is
some of the acting was a little bit hokey.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
In it was their acting.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Well, yeah, because they're all recreations, you know, the recreations
of the actual legend.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Well, you know, play on repeat at my grandparents now.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Nowadays though with the prolifer, with there being a lot
of cameras, maybe we'll have real footage instead of actors.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Right. I expect the quality of the deliberation, the quality
of the storytelling, you expect it to be better. But
that's the sweetest thing to me is that my grandparents would,
even if they had seen the episode before, for they
would watch it again in hopes to have a clue.
They was the most precious thing. Ever, then they would
go to prayer group.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
It's Netflix's Life first July.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
First, up to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
All right, coming up next. If you're one of the
ones who lost a stimulus check because you accidentally threw
it away. Look, actually a lot of people did. There
is a solution that's next.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
Are you guys know that For weeks there have there's
there have been people who are looking for their stimulus
check who you know, are going online calling numbers trying
to find it because they accidentally threw it away. We
did that story two weeks ago. The stimulus checks, the
ones that were first rolled out, they showed up in
(06:44):
envelopes that looked like unsolicited credit card offers or debit
card offers. Okay, it's just an envelope that looked like
junk mails. Plane it was marked money Network, card holder services.
What would you think if you saw that garbage? Yes,
money a card?
Speaker 8 (07:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
The words cardholder services to me means I owe or
I don't want to add this.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
But you know, I even I don't just throw those
kinds of things in the trash. I just open them
to see. Okay, are they trying to fake me out
with the printed handwriting or.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
What he does? He's like, you think this is a
real a printing?
Speaker 3 (07:17):
And plus if I get this card right now, I
might get a free overnight bag.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
I think it's a mistake because it doesn't say US Treasury.
I mean, everybody was looking for something that looked governmental.
Yeah right, And so the deal is last week, this
whole thing was sent from the IRS to tax professionals. Like, look,
you got all these people looking for this. They lost
or destroyed their Visa prepaid debit card because that's what
it was, a Visa prepaid debit card. You can now
(07:43):
request a free replacement one, okay through met Banks Customer
Service department. There's a phone number. It's an eight hundred number.
We're gonna post it for you. Now. It may be
a little bit of a long You got to explain
who you know, who you are, what happened? You think
you threw it away? I have to confirm all that
good stuff. But you eventually will get your money.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, well they'll just what they'll do is they'll cancel
the old number. You know, and just like with any
other credit card, even though it's not a credit card.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
But you know what, you can't really Murphy's the answer man.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
You know. The reason that they would want to make
it look generic is because it's a card, you know what,
I mean, every credit card company when you get that
directly from your bank. Is they don't. It doesn't say
you know your new credit cards inside you know stimulus
check inside right.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Sorry and cash it now, you're right glad.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
They've got a plan though to fix it, you know.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Yeah, you can get that number and some info at
our website. Murphy Salmonjody dot com coming.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
Up next with Murphy's Sam and Jody.
Speaker 1 (08:43):

Speaker 9 (09:05):

to go out to dinner, I could be his next
ex fife.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
No, that's awesome.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
He's here and he's blushing.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, I'm just curing. I'm just curious where we're going
to eat.
Speaker 9 (09:20):
Well, look, we have a lot of places. I live
in Auburn, Alabama. I don't know if you're an or not,
but he is. But we have a lot of places.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
He's just curious where you're going to eat. I'm curious
how long you're going to be married.
Speaker 9 (09:34):
Well say that, you know that that would be the
fun part of it.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Yeah, just to see it would be like that.
Speaker 9 (09:40):
But hey, we even have a chef here that acre
at restaurant. I think you won the best chef of anywhere.
So we got some pretty good places here.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Oh I know it, baby, yay Jane, all right, since
he doesn't know what to say, I'm gonna help you out.
Call us anytime.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, it's just tough to pass out of dinner like
that great dinner. Maybe even if you got a road
trip it, you know.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
So does that make you feel uncomfortable because you seem uncomfortable, Yeah,
I am. What's funny about that, Sam, is this is
how it works for you. You most of the time
in your life. From what we could see, I cast.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
The net and reel them in. Well you have done
that a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
You are not the one.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
You've done a number of catch and release routines.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
Yeah, Murphy, that's true. No, But honestly, in the dating game,
it's usually not you making the first move.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Is I mean, they see and they can't keep their eyes.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Okay, okay, but you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you
shouldn't be uncomfortable. This should be normal territory for you.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
I see what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Yeah, this is how it works for you, right.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah. I throw out the vibe.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
And then you get the phone calls and nets are
involved somehow. Thank you, Jane, give us a call anytime
eight seven to seven, three one zero four MSJ coming
up for all the the ladies of the world. You
need to know this about not just all single men,
(11:04):
but Sam why he is a two second man. Now
what you think it's important to know that?
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Sam? Speaking of Sam, he has music news next.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah, I'll let you know what big artist, a list
artist is going to bring the country together with music.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Sam's got music news.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Garth Brooks is pulling off probably one of the biggest
concerts ever. You know how Keith Urban did that drive
in concert last month. Yeah, Well, Garth is taking it,
taking it nationwide. He's going to be in Nashville and
performing that. It'll be shown on three hundred drive ins
around the country.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Oh that's cool.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
June twenty seventh.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
We need more of that from everybody. Yeah, like every
artist needs to do that.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
That's kind of cool. And the tickets go on sale Friday.
There are one hundred dollars a car or truck.
Speaker 10 (11:54):
Everybody else you you know, the bed and a trunk
and every just loaded up with people.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
That's all.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Are you sure there's no limit? Okay, maybe I'm speaking
out of turn. I think some distancing is still part
of the play on boy.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Wait, wait, you've got your group of ten people you
can be with and you can load them as many
as you can fit in the car.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
I think there's Jody's making the rules too.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Whatever.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Anyway, read the fine print before you buy the ticket.
Then right, okay, you know how I Simon coll and
The X Factor, he put one direction together. All five
guys came up and tried out separately, and he's like,
you guys need to be together. Something kind of like
that's gone on with some American Idol and Voice people.
Craig Boyd, who won Idol season seven, Casey James, who
came in third in Idol season nine, and Adam Wakefield,
(12:37):
who was a runner up on the Voice. They've all
formed a band together.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Very cool.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, it's called Texas Hill And here's their first song,
man in the Darkest Guy.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
It shine on.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
If you get it. So, if you know any of
those guys. Yeah, the song is called Darkest Sky and
it's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
Sounds really good. It sounds like Lady a a little.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
Same.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
They want to look for them. Wow, the country one direction.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Wait, don't say that, okay, fine.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
And the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has opened
up again today. It's been closed for three months since
March fourteenth. They are taking precautions though. You do have
to wear a mask if you go in, and of
course your temperature will be checked because I got on too.
And of course you got to practice social distancing.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Give me no lass and keep your hands toel.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
I worked on this one a while. Just Fowlong tickets,
you got to buy them in advance and it'll be
for a set time. You can't just show up and
they will not be taking credit cards, only cash. Thank
you very much, very much.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Free weekend, A lot of time on my hands.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yes, Currently, Murphy Jody music News coming up. Jody's got
another Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Coming up next though, ladies, I'm going to introduce you
to two Second Sam. You know, for all the ladies
of the world single ladies that are ladies of the world.
I want to just throw something out here. What you know,
we had a call last hour from Jane who would
love to take Sam to dinner. And it was a
(14:15):
very sweet invitation, and you were all, you know, getting
shy and uncomfortable about it. And she was kind of Sam.
She was a very very much a sweetheart.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
It does make me uncomfortable.
Speaker 9 (14:26):
I know.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
I'm sorry. Welcome to life.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
I don't like being hit on, do you. Oh he
likes me too much of it in your lifetime, Sam.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
He likes it. He just doesn't know what to do
with it.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
She's still waiting for Jennifer Anniston to stop right.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Well she's single, you know, Yeah, you keep waiting for
that anyway. What's funny is that I know we have
all spent so much time together. I probably know you
Sam better than most people. And I'm going to tell
all the single ladies of the world a little something
about Sam, or probably about most single men or most men.
Sam makes his mind up about a woman in one second.
(15:03):
One second, okay, you.
Speaker 10 (15:06):
Mean he's judgmental over the years, say years ago, which
is I guess that's why spin on it it's probably
the human nature. I'm very decisive, right, Okay, so once
here's one example. I had a friend who was interested
in Sam at one point, and she had asked.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Me, he's single, you're friends with him. What do you think?
Do you know?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Do you get involved? I do?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
That's what I told her. I said, Look, I you know,
I can tell him who you are, but I am
not going to be in the middle of what.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Yeah, we actually provide legal disclaimers lordie.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
So anyway, but when I decided to tell you about her,
I pulled her up, her picture of her in social
media up on my computer. You walked over here to me.
You took one look, and you're like, no, not for me? Yeah,
I mean I had not even said her name to you.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah. Well, you know that's the trick. If you say,
you know, a long time ago, when Jody and I
first met, I remember her saying to me, you know,
you really shouldn't have a type. You told me that.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Do you remember that I don't have a type?
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah? I know, and and and so that's obviously well,
I'm just gonna say it's probably a very common, you know,
dating mistake. Everybody is naturally attracted to certainly.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Thinks that people make up their minds about whether they're
attracted right away or not. It's animalistic alment.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Yeah, okay, and you're probably right about that. I was
just gonna say, don't get boxed into, you know, a type,
because you really may miss the greatest person in your life. Hey,
look right in your path.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
It's worked for me so far, obviously.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Yeah, three times.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
Judy's Hollywood Outside.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
So we told you last week, and the whole world
was surprised and sad to hear about Kelly Clarkson filing
for divorce.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
What doesn't kill your makes shot?
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Yeah, especially since she and her husband and the whole
family are quarantined together.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
They were quarantined together like in a cabin.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Brought it off.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Yeah, actually, so we didn't know. All we knew is
that she filed for divorce like a week ago from
Brandon Blackstock, who she'd been married to for seven years.
They have two small children together, and she helped raise
his older children that he had from a previous relationship,
and everything everything seemed you know, hunky dory. And they
(17:16):
work together a lot. He's the executive producer on her show,
like he is in that business. That's how she met.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Him and her manager.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Right, and he's the manager of Blake Shelter. And that's fun, man,
that's a fun job. I bet. Okay. So anyway, the
word is working together NonStop, Murphy. I like hearing. This
is what became the problem in their relationship. That's what's
that's the word is They're just too much. It's just
too much for Kelly. She also wanted more children. He
(17:47):
did not, and quarantine together did nothing but whatever exacerbate
the problem for her. She was spotted out in La
this weekend, not looking so happy up to date.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
With Shody's Hollywood Outsider coming on.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Jenny disappeared from the house for about eight hours on Saturday.
Huh but it was interested is when she came back
home with.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Hey, Jenny, I saw on Facebook Saturday that there were
some boots you were after.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
High I no, no, bought mine. Okay. So on Saturday
this past weekend, I took my late rain checked Mother's Day,
Great escape day, Murphy. Always We've done this for years
where I want to be with the family on Mother's Day,
but the day before my day, I disappear. The first
time I did it, I had like massages and I
went to the movies and I went and had.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
But Mother's Day was a month ago when we were.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yeah, I couldn't shop them, so I took my the boots.
We'll start with the boots because everybody's asking me about
them on our Facebook page. It's blowing up. Summer is
a great time to shop for off season.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yeah, I was gonna say.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
But I wasn't shopping. All I did was walk into
one of my favorite stores and I heard my name. Yeah,
they were in a back.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Clothing always seems to call your name like that. We'll
boots do back.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Corner in the left. And I've always wanted a pair
of gray like leather swedetie boots that color. It's not
as freak, you know, you see tan and black boots
all the time in winter. Anyway, they were there. I
knelt down at them and I'm like, please be my size,
and they were exactly my size. Then I put them on.
Oh my god, I asked the girl, can I wear
(19:26):
them out? She goes, it's summer. It's like yeah, anyway,
the best part of it, and women everywhere whose shop
and love a bargain will love this. It already said
fifty percent off. It was a clearance thing. I already
said fifty percent off and like they're mine. In fact,
when I brought them to the girl, the sales girl
in the box, I said mine because I was going
to look around some more in the store. The best
(19:46):
part was when I checked out.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah, this is the part where you screamed. Screamed in
the store.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Oh my god. Okay, So they were already marked down
because it's summertime. It was a red mark on the
box and the price said twenty four to ninety nine. Like, yes,
I'm buying boots that are this nice for twenty four nine.
I go and at the checkout she's like, everything's on
massive clearance because they're trying to clear everything out for
all the new stuff coming in since the pandemic. They
(20:12):
were ten dollars, they were, and all you bought one
bear Well that that was the only pair of laugh
Oh Anyway, the whole point though, that day is so
special to me because I have to remind myself not
to rush around. I have to remind myself that nobody
needs me right now, and remind myself that nobody's calling
my name. There was a kid in the store. Another
(20:34):
store who said the word mom, And I was like,
what wait not today? Three things to know today? With
so much research being done every day about coronavirus, new
info coming out of Brown University is that bald men
are more susceptible to severe coronavirus symptoms. Whatever affects, you know,
(20:57):
whatever hormones cause the baldness, it boosts the ability of
the virus to attach to cells.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Now that doesn't cover guys who just shave their head.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
No, no, sham.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 7 (21:10):
Though?
Speaker 4 (21:11):
It's new information?
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, I mean how you draw that as interesting? That conclusion?
Speaker 4 (21:15):
You know, Well, science is how you draw it.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Well, I get it. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Number two Ford recalling more than two million vehicles. Did
you hear about this because door latches causing the doors
to open while driving. This is the third recall for
the same problem. We're talking Focus Fusion, Fiesta and Escape models.
Also Lincolns and Mustangs too, if you need to it's
between models from twenty twelve to twenty sixteen. If you
(21:41):
need to know if you're affected, Ford dot com. We'll
get your covered there And with summer actually might as
well be here. Maybe not on the calendar. There are
online summer camps because of coronavirus, and maybe you don't
want to send your kids off to hang with a
bunch of kids. One of them is called camp kind
of it's free. You'll love that, Sam. You go at
your own yet three to four hours per day online,
(22:02):
offline even outdoor activities.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
How do you do the swimming in the canoe and
in the.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
Go outside and you do what's suggested. It's called camp
kind of.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Three things to know today, All right, Jody, you're letting
everybody know that I'm a two second man.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Yeah, you make your decision about well, ladies, and two
seconds or less.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
I got to defend myself coming up in just a
little bit, because I don't think I'm alone in this one, right.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
And something happened over the weekend that our security cameras
picked up Jody not once, but sixteen times. That's nice eight.
So you know, Sam, when I share this with you,
I'm pretty sure someone listening somewhere is going to say,
for God's sakes, please call a professional. This is about
Jody's closet. And I really do think you know the
(22:51):
reason that we haven't brought a professional into the house
to take care of the mouse because we're stubborn. No,
it's been you know, through COVID nineteen. There are a
lot of people. They won't come in the house.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
Our guy, his name is Byron, like I know him
and he's always so sweet. And I called and left
a message for him, and I told him about the
mouse and he never called me back.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Well, that's because he couldn't come in the house because
of COVID. Do you see what I'm saying Now, I'm
sure that things have changed and we're phasing through things.
You know, he would come out. So this do it
yourself thinking is clearly not working.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Now.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
We have two traps in the closet, and so don't
you have.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
One that's a mouse sized trap and one that's a
rat trap?
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Yes, because the mouse he's safty.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, and then so the problem with the rat trap
is it's too big to go flush against the wall
and the mouse likes to go okay, and you know,
and mice do not like to stay in the middle
of the room for any reason at all. They're corner huggers.
That's what they do. That's today, that's that's their safety net.
And yeah, so this but I've never had this happen before.
(23:55):
Every time we put these mice cams in the closet, right,
and every time he trips the the mice cam, it
sends me an alert on my phone.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Right, and so you know, so you can watch him
ignore the traps.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Correct. Every other day we get one, it's usually he
sniffs the trap and he leaves and he goes like he.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Goes up to the camera and sniffs like hau huh.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Well I heard my phone buzzing. I thought a couple
of times overnight last night, but I just didn't wake up.
And I checked this morning, and there are fifteen alerts.
What fifteen what alerts from both cams, the wide angle
mice cam and the close up version.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
More technology in Jody's closet.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
And most people totally okay, so what what what's going on?
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Well? I mean, he literally was running back and forth
between eaight sniffing both cameras and back and forth. I
don't know what he was checking out this morning, man, man, he.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
Was active getting his exercise.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
And you know what he did three times, walked up
to the rat trap, looked in it, and left. So
I think he's just figured it out.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
So we we need to get more. We need to
bring better game. We need to put nutella in there,
or or cookies or something better than a professional.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
We need to pay somebody to camp out in your closet.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yeah, Jeddy, I'm gonna go back and address your two
seconds Sam comment about Sam.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Saying that you size up, you know, a possible date
in two seconds, or somebody that you would date, somebody
that you wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
It takes one second for Sam.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Okay, And I agree with you. But I think it is.
I do think it's a universal thing, whether people want
to admit it or not. The cliche of first impressions, Yes,
and that is the that's the quickest first impression you're
going to get from anybody before they open their mouth,
before you know, if they've have a sense of humor
(25:49):
or anything. It's it's it's natural. I see somebody and
it's like I know right away yes or no, or
or there or there's a hm, well let me see.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Give you the female side of it. I agree to.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
So you look at a guy and go, well, I
mean not anymore Murphy of course hopefully.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
But yeah, but yeah, I think it is human nature.
So what I just brought it up because Jane had
called earlier and was asking you to dinner, and there's
no way for you to have seen her or anything
like that.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
But I don't want to sound superficial like that. You
got to see you.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
You are human. You are human. But it's been funny
over the years to work with you and be in
a place I don't know, out in public and somebody
walk up. And it's funny when it's when it's a yes, there's.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
A story Jody loves to tell all the time. And
I'm not going to give the girls name, but yeah,
there does like this person walked up and you said
you knew.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
As soon as she walked up. I was like, oh, man,
Sam is going to enjoy this. And I looked and
you looked like a cat who had just hit m
can Mary like, oh wow, this is fun.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
It's even fun as a married couple that Jody exactly
knows that if she's called that out before, it's like huhuh.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Oh, I know when Murphy's going to turn it, because like, oh,
this is his kind of lady. It's just human And honestly,
I just it's I'm just picking on you because over
the years, also, you're very quick to go no thanks,
like like, like what I know on my computer, I'm like,
this girl is interested in you, and you're like no thanks.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
And plus I also remember too people on social media
and dating sites and all that they all tend to
put their best photo forward, yes, or sometimes it's the opposite.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
You know, it's they don't know that that's not their
best photo. Everybody can take a bad.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Phot Coming up Hollywood, HBO.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
Max decided yesterday to say, you know what, We're going
to put Gone with the Wind back on our streaming
service to tell you why and how they're going to
do it next.
Speaker 7 (27:50):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
HBO Max, of course, has been in the news, not
just because of hey, we're here and friends is here
and everything else is here, but because Gone what the
Wind was on HBO Max.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
You are no gentleman and you miss our No, lady,
I don't think that I hold that against you.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
Ladies have never held any job for me.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
So it was on HBO Max and then it was pulled.
They pulled it and announced they did it because of
the depiction of slavery in the pre Civil War South.
But yesterday you probably saw this floating around social media.
They announced that they're going to re release it back
on HBO Max with a special introduction, this time with
historical context. So it'll be like this black scholar and
(28:34):
a TV host, Jacqueline Stewart will make a statement about
it because there was a lot of controversy about why
would you pull it? You know there was an Academy
Award win attached to that.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Haddy McDaniel who played Mammy, She was the first African
American to win an Oscar in nineteen forty.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
HBO Max hasn't said when they'll re release it, but
it's coming.
Speaker 2 (28:54):

Speaker 9 (29:10):
Tell Sam if he's ever in Alabama, if he wants
to go out to dinner, I could be his next
ex wife.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
No, that's awesome.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
He's here and he's blushing.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yeah, I'm just curious. I'm just curious where we're going
to eat.
Speaker 9 (29:25):
Well, look, we have a lot of places live in Auburn, Alabama.
I don't know if you're or not but he is.
But we have a lot of places.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
He's just curious where you're going to eat. I'm curious
how long you're going to be married.
Speaker 9 (29:39):
Well say that, you know that that would be the
fun part of it.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Yeah, just to see it would be like that.
Speaker 9 (29:45):
But hey, we even have a chef here at acre
At Restaurant. I think you won the best chef of
of anywhere. So we got some pretty good places here.

he doesn't know what to say, I'm gonna help you
out call us anytime.

like that great dinner. Maybe even if you got a
road trip it.
Speaker 9 (30:07):
You know.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
So does that make you feeluncomfortable because you seem uncomfortable, Yeah,
I am. What's funny about that, Sam, is this is
how it works for you. You most of the time
in your life. From what we could see.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
I cast the net and reel them in. Well, you
have done that a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
You are not the one.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
You've done a number of catch and release routines.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
Yeah, Murphy, that's true. No, But honestly, in the dating game,
it's usually not you making the first move.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Is I mean, they see and they can't keep their eyes.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Okay, okay, but you know what I'm saying. You shouldn't
be uncomfortable. This should be normal territory for you.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
I see what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Yeah, this is how it works for you. Right.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yeah. I throw out the vibe and.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Then you get the phone calls and nets are involved somehow.
Thank you. Jane. Give us a call anytime eight seven

Speaker 8 (31:31):

you know what, I come down here and put on
the coffee and turn on the radio and have a
nice Cuban cigar.

Cuban cigar in the morning. Man, you used to be
a real dude. Jump in anytime.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Well, so much for us kidding.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
A eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ coming up.
If you think you lost or threw away your stimulus
money that came into mail because it didn't look like
stimulus money, I'll tell you how to get it back
on the way. Are you guys know that for weeks
(32:24):
there have there's there have been people who are looking
for their stimulus check who you know, are going online
calling numbers trying to find it because they accidentally threw
it away. We did that story two weeks ago. The
stimulus checks, the ones that were first rolled out, they
showed up in envelopes that looked like unsolicited credit card
(32:47):
offers or debit card offers. Okay, it's just an envelope
that looked like junk mails. Plane It was marked money
Network card holder services. What would you think if you
saw that garbage? Yes, money at card it's cardholder services
to me means I owe or I don't want to
add this.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
But you know, I even I don't just throw those
kinds of things in the trash. I just open them
to see. Okay, are they trying to fake me out
with the printed handwriting or what he does?
Speaker 4 (33:14):
He's like, you think this is a real a printing.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
And plus if I get this card right now, I
might get a free overnight bag.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
I think it's a mistake because it doesn't say US Treasury.
I mean, everybody was looking for something that looked governmental.
Yeah right, And so the deal is last week, this
whole thing was sent from the IRS to tax professionals. Like, look,
you got all these people looking for this. They lost
or destroyed their Visa prepaid debit card because that's what
it was, a Visa prepaid debit card. You can now
(33:42):
request a free replacement one, okay through met Banks Customer
Service department. There's a phone number. It's an eight hundred number.
We're gonna post it for you. Now. It may be
a little bit of a long You got to explain
who you know, who you are, what happened you think
you threw it away. They have to confirm all that
good stuff. But you eventually will get your money.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah. Well, they'll just what they'll do is they'll cancel
the old number, you know, and just like with any
other credit card, even though it's not a credit card.
But you know what, you.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Can't really, Murphy's the answer man.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
You know, the reason that they would want to make
it look generic is because it's a card, you know
what I mean, every credit card company, when you get
that directly from your bank is they don't. It doesn't
say you know your new credit cards inside you know.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Stimulus check inside right, sorry and cash it now, you're
right glad.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
They've got a plan though, to fix it.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
You know, you can get that number and some info
at our website Murphy Salmon Jody dot com.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Coming up after the show today another Murphy, Sam and
Jody podcast, And in fact, that's exactly what we call it.

you to be a part of it.
