Dearest Actors,

We are eternally grateful for the years we’ve shared with you through our podcast episodes.
It has truly been an honor to connect with each of you in this special way.
After much reflection, we've decided that it's time to close the chapter on our podcast series.

We hope these episodes continue to inspire you, as they were created with love and deep belief in you and the incredible things you’re capable of as actors.

Remember, as you approach this wildly beautiful career to always ask yourself, “Why not me?” and lead with joy, as only you, with your heart and passion, know how to do so beautifully.

With so much love,
Camille & Jen

(Transcribed by TurboScribe.ai. Go Unlimited to remove this message.) Hey guys, so a little over 10 years ago, we decided to start Speak LA with one
goal in mind to help actors like you move to LA and thrive.
Essentially, we wanted you to speak the language of LA.
And after a decade of collaborating with amazing guests, each other and
connecting with all of you, we feel like we've accomplished that mission.

(00:33):
So as we close this chapter of the podcast, we just want to take a moment to
say thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
And here's a little recap of how it all began.
In 2016, me, I, Camille, was in a writing class with Jen's husband, Pete, and I
mentioned that I had this idea about creating a hub for actors moving to LA,

(00:57):
and he suggested I talk to Jen.
Well, it turns out Jen had the exact same idea brewing for a while.
It's funny how things work out.
I moved to LA when I was 21, but then I went to New York where I booked the
film, The Brothers McMullen that won the Sundance award.
And then I came back to LA and that move back was pretty hard.

(01:20):
And I moved to LA at 27 after getting my MFA in acting, and it wasn't an easy
transition for me either.
But I kind of feel like LA grows on you, doesn't it?
Oh my gosh, it totally grows on you.
I mean, it is full of beautiful, creative people, many of whom came here for
the exact same reasons that we did.
Yeah, exactly.

(01:41):
I mean, I think that's one of the magical things about LA, the people, and of
course, the backdrop of the film and TV industry.
Right, which is why we started this podcast.
So it's important to us that you know that everyone starts somewhere.
Every industry professional that you love started at the beginning, just like
you, just like us when we first moved here.

(02:04):
Oh, I really love that thought.
And for any new listeners joining us, every episode of the podcast is like a
mini lesson with an industry expert.
For all of our amazing listeners who have been with us since the beginning,
please keep these episodes in your back pocket.
They're meant to inspire, reignite your passion and to remind you that you

(02:25):
absolutely have a place in this industry.
It has truly been a privilege and an honor to have been your hosts over these
past few years.
Absolutely.
And we truly believe that if you lead with joy and ask yourself what your
creative life looks like for you, your acting career will unfold just the way
it's meant to.

(02:45):
Huge thanks to our sound guy, Dan.
We literally could not have done this without you.
And to all of our incredible guests.
And of course, to you, Cam Cam, and to you, Jen, and to you, our
listeners, we're so grateful for everything.

(03:06):
So stay connected with us at www.ispeakla.com for exciting new opportunities to
work together.
And don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter so you can stay in the loop
with all the latest updates.
And with that, lots of love, everyone.
Bye for now.
