Speaker 1 (00:01):
Season three teaser
kicking off now.
What's up everybody.
I'm Sonia Crystal Williams, your host of 10 Minute Marketing
Podcast.
So here we are, season three, and I wanted to give you all a
teaser today just to tell youwhat to expect for this upcoming
(00:22):
season.
Podcast episodes will getreleased weekly, so stay tuned
for some really great interviews.
So first, let me kind offlashback to season two, because
if you didn't listen to seasontwo, we had a really big focus
around community and how brandscan build themselves in
(00:42):
different ways through buildingcommunities, which covered a lot
of different aspects and a lotof different ways you could
think about approachingcommunities online, from
building private communities tolaunching audio podcasts,
private podcasts, creatingInstagram groups, facebook
groups, whatsapp groups.
(01:03):
There were a lot of reallygreat episodes.
So if you didn't get a chanceto listen to season two, I'd say
, before you jump into seasonthree, go back to season two.
Listen to some of thoseepisodes over the next week
before we start dropping seasonthree episodes.
You can find season twoepisodes at sonjacrystalcom
slash podcast Sonia with a J,not a Y, and Crystal with a C.
(01:26):
Okay, let's talk about seasonthree, because I am super
excited about the lineup ofguests we have in season three,
as well as some of the otherepisodes, where we'll just be
digging deeper into differenttopics.
So, as you know, if you've beenlistening for a while, 10
minute marketing is bite-sizedinterviews.
Usually our interviews couldrange or topics can range
(01:49):
anywhere from 10 to 20 or sominutes, and they're meant to be
just kind of us gettingstraight to the point, giving
you some really good informationthat you can take and run with,
whether you're a marketer,whether you're a business owner
or just the person in charge ofdigital marketing, social media,
online marketing, everything inand around that world.
Typically, I interview peoplewho are not necessarily
(02:10):
marketers.
They're entrepreneurs or peoplein marketing positions that are
doing things really, reallywell and have maybe broken the
code on something that worksparticularly well in their
business, something that worksparticularly well in their
business.
Season three is going to be alittle different because I've
chosen a lineup of specialguests who are all digital
(02:31):
marketers in some way, shape orform, and I curated this list of
a lot of people that I knowbased on just like really
knowing these people for yearsand seeing some amazing results
from the campaigns that they run.
I also like to think about thisas, like some of these people,
and some of the expertise andadvice that they're gonna drop
(02:54):
in our short episodes are thingsthat they charge people
hundreds to thousands of dollarsfor.
So I really wanna encourage youto grab your pen and paper.
If you take notes through yourphone or your laptop, like be
prepared for some really goodtakeaways in every episode and
some really great like here'show you do this, here's how you
(03:17):
do that.
I like to think about it as aframework of how you need to be
thinking about approachingmaking your business stand out
as we look ahead to the rest ofthis year and start positioning
ourselves for next year.
I mean, when you think about it, there's more websites now than
ever before.
There's more social mediaaccounts, more people on
(03:39):
Instagram every day, right, tiktok is still a major player.
People are still trying tofigure out how to take advantage
of TikTok and, honestly, for me, I don't sleep on Facebook
because I get a lot of tractionfor my own business through
Facebook groups, as well asLinkedIn.
I never sleep on LinkedInbecause it's such a great place
(03:59):
to take conversations online andvirtually network and meet
complete strangers that you havecommon interest with in some
really great ways.
So all that to say that, asyou're thinking ahead about your
own business and how you'regoing to position the brand that
you're managing for the rest ofthe year, I like to think about
(04:22):
season three.
It's kind of like a frameworkof how to get your brand to
stand out and approach things alittle differently.
So one of the topics that weare going to talk about early on
in the season is going to becontent planning, which I'm a
big believer.
Like, before you jump into anyof the tactics that you're going
to execute, you need to have areally strong plan and strategy
(04:45):
in place.
So we're going to talk aboutthat.
But as we get deeper into theseason, we're also going to talk
about that.
But as we get deeper into theseason, we're also going to talk
about some really specificthings like using quizzes for
lead generation, thinking abouthow you need to re-approach your
content writing, how you makeyourself an authority so that
more people are interested andattracted to your brand, product
(05:06):
or service.
What's it like to build funnels?
What do you need to do in thefunnel building process?
Where do influencers play arole and can they help your
brand?
Can they help uplift it?
Can they help bring it morevisibility.
Should you be running paid adcampaigns and, if so, is Google
Ads a great place to be?
And then, what does your techstack look like?
How are you organizing all ofthis, because you can really get
(05:29):
caught up in spending a lot ofmoney on different types of
software to do this and that.
How do you organize that?
We've got someone coming in totalk about that, and we'll wrap
up the season talking about alot of other things that you
need to think about functionally, because, even as you have all
these things in place togenerate leads and sales for
your business, you also gottathink about how you're
(05:49):
delegating that to your team.
Do you have a team?
Do you need to think abouthaving a team?
If so, how do you hold thatteam or yourself accountable
when you're responsible formanaging an entire brand and all
of the online marketing thathas to go into it?
So this is just a snapshot ofwhat to expect as we roll into
(06:09):
season three.
