The Moon in the tarot deck can signify deception, but I like to think of it as the card that shines a light on deception - from ourselves and/or others.
The moon is the dark, the mysterious, the deep. This is a beautiful follow-up to the Fool in January.

The cards I use are by Kim Krans: The Wild Unknown Tarot.

(00:00):
Wow.

(00:00):
Welcome.
It is February.
It's a short month.
Let's see.
It's a short month, but it's aday longer than it normally is.
We have jumped from the fool inJanuary to the moon.
In February.
This is very interesting.
Let's review the fool.

(00:23):
Which is just an amazing cardand a beautiful start to the
year.
And then we will look at themoon.
So the fool.
Is spontaneity and innocence.
The fool is ready to fly hisyoung wings ache for flights and
with a single step.
He leaves behind the comfort ofthe nest to begin the journey
through the major Arcana.

(00:44):
Is he ready?
Will he fall?
This is a card about beginnings.
It points to the side of youthat is spontaneous excited,
naive, and inexperienced.
Others may doubt your abilities.
Be ready to be called the fool.
Be ready to fall, no matter whatpeople say about you.
This is your journey.

(01:05):
And it's already begun.
Be ready to be called the fool.
And now we come into the moon.
The moon is a whole differentenergy.
It's deep.
It's dark.
It's light.
Vivid dreams.
And fears.
And many ways the moon cardencompasses the idea of the wild

(01:28):
unknown.
It is the shadow realm, theplace where dreams, fears, and
mysteries are born.
Much darkness can linger here.
And if you aren't careful, thiscan lead to periods of anxiety
and self-doubt.
Almost as though you've lostyour way in our house of
mirrors.
Many great artists have roamedthis inner landscape.

(01:52):
It's where imagination andcreativity drift freely upon the
midnight air.
The moon.
February.
This is the depth of winter inthe Northern hemisphere.
It's the coldest month.
It's not the darkest month, butit feels like it is.
This is a perfect time to go.
And.

(02:12):
Not linger too long in thatdarkness, in that mystery.
But to honor that that'sliterally where we are.
We are in this space of.
Deep.
Rest.
Which can lead to feelings ofunrest.
So really allow yourself.

(02:36):
A lot of grace.
See what you find, maybe youstepped off the ledge.
And it feels now.
Like you have fallen.
And to the dumps into thebottom, into the pit.
Of despair.
There was an episode a whileback where we talked about.
Hope and despair and how withouthope.

(02:59):
You can not experience truedespair.
And it's almost like the fool isthe hope.
And then the moon is showing usthe despair.
But it's also showing us whatcomes out of.
Not.
Giving up, but letting go of thequote, unquote, hope.
And really looking at.

(03:19):
What is real and present.
And there is always, alwaysmagic.
That is one thing that I wantyou to take away from this
episode.
Magic exists.
In all places and in all ways, and in all, every where.
It's within all of us.
it is within the dark.
It is within that mystery.

(03:40):
So.
Allow yourself to breathe.
Knowing that each breath.
Is magic.
And let's see what we find.
Share your thoughts with me andLaura, christine.us.
And until next time.
I am sending all the love andthen some more.
We'll talk again.
