In Matthew the 22nd chapter, there is a story of a great interaction with Jesus. It says

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

If we love the God with all of our heart, soul and mind, how then is it possible that we wouldn’t love others as ourselves?

The Bible is full of thoughtful interactions, just like this one with Jesus and the religious people of his day.

Jesus was an incredibly perfect example of God’s love for us. If we are to take him at his word, then we will grow in love for God. Then, out of that love, we will naturally love other people.  Will we do it perfectly? NO
.

But Jesus literally loved us to death
. His own death on the cross. Man, that is always hard to wrap our head around. Much less our heart. Millions and millions of people have been impacted by Christ death on the cross. Few have died for the cause.

Join us as we discuss our own process of being a Christ follower and  what it means to love others because we love God. This is gonna be a good one. We are happy you are here.
