Carrie (00:09):
It's Carrie and Christine, and we are best
friends and owners of Lavenderand Lace Boutique, an online
women's boutique based outtaShere Park, Alberta, and we
started a podcast just so wecould hear ourselves talk.

Kristine (00:21):
That's pretty much it.
Welcome to Two Babes Podcast.
Welcome to episode 1111, baby.

Carrie (00:27):
Oh, we're really rocking it in these double digits.
Yeah.
Do you know what I

Kristine (00:30):
like about this?
Yeah.
Is that we didn't quit.
I know, right?
Yeah.
Congratulations for not being aquitter.
Yeah.

Carrie (00:37):
You know, that means a lot to me.
Yeah.
It does that we haven't quit.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Kristine (00:42):
It's a big deal.
So congratulations on for youguys for not quitting listening
to us.
Yeah.
You know what?
You're the real MVPs.
You are the MVPs

Carrie (00:51):
because this is sometimes a little bit of a Sha
Basel because we

Kristine (00:54):
would probably still go, we go in and have an
episodes and there'd be nobodylistening.
So you guys are the

Carrie (00:59):
real MVPs.
Absolutely.
And we can see how many peoplelisten.
Yeah.
So we know.
Yeah.
If it's just us, we're watchingyou.
We'll find you.
We'll, we'll find you.

Kristine (01:11):
We won't just for the record.
Yeah.
You know, for, uh, legal

Carrie (01:15):
purposes.
Yeah.
And honestly, we

Kristine (01:17):
too fucking lazy.
Yeah.
Way too lazy for that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Not happening.
Yeah.
No, it takes like all of myeffort and energy just to walk
to your, to your house.
And you're only three minutesaway.
I know.
So like, I'm not hiding anybodydown.
Mm-hmm.
No, no, no.
And not like if you are gonna gohunt somebody down, like you
probably need to pack likesupplies.

Carrie (01:37):
I don't have no supplies.
'cause you know who you'd needto take with you if you're hunt
Nick?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I

Kristine (01:42):
don't have like a, like a sword.
See, I would show up to murderyou with a sword in 2023.
I was trying to come up with amachete, but sword was it?
Yeah.
Okay.
So I don't have one.
No, Nick does though.
He actually has

Carrie (02:00):
a sword, a samura sword.
Yeah.
It's not.
For legal purposes.
It is not sharpened.
No, it's dull.
It's one of those like fakeones.
He's actually not a samurai.
No.
No, he's not.
No.
Um, he

Kristine (02:12):
cont pretends.
Yeah.
So I don't have an, a backpackthat could hold supplies.
My backpack's fucking brightpink.
Like I can't track anybody down.
They're gonna find me before Ifind them.
Oh yeah.
You're not stealthy.
It has reflectors

Carrie (02:24):
on it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're, and we're not, like, wedon't move gracefully.
No, no.
Like there's nothing gracefulabout anything

Kristine (02:31):
we do.
No.
When we're moving, people know.
Yeah, So, We're not gonna huntyou down.
Okay.
Moral story.
That's story.
Moral of the story.
Yeah.
Listen,

Carrie (02:39):
don't listen.
Honestly,

Kristine (02:40):
we're already on our first tangent.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's cool.
Listen, don't listen.

Carrie (02:44):
We'll, we'll be here regardless.
Yeah, you do.
You boo boo.
But we do like it when youlisten.
Yeah, we prefer

Kristine (02:49):
it.
We do.
I mean, nobody likes to work fornothing, you know what I mean?
For three, three, an episode.
Yeah.
Those ads are really making bankover here.
so occasionally you'll hear anad go through our podcast
periodically and uh, we, thefirst time we had ads, we made$4

(03:09):
and 55 cents.
So we went and got some sodis atthe store.
We spent it,

Carrie (03:14):
we spent probably more, yeah, because I think we bought
chocolate bars.
We

Kristine (03:17):
did buy chocolate bars.
I bought a$7 chocolate bar after

Carrie (03:20):
taxes.
That doesn't even buy like a,

Kristine (03:22):
Nothing.
Nothing.
So, you know what we're, we're

Carrie (03:25):
here for fun.
Just so everybody's clear.
Like this is purely for fun, Ipromise you.
Yeah, yeah.
And it is fun.
It's why we can't take it tooseriously.
That's why we talk about

Kristine (03:34):
swords.

Carrie (03:39):
Alright.

Kristine (03:40):
You guys wanna know something weird?
We're recording on a Wednesday.
This is weird.
We're recording on the day thatwe're supposed to submit it.
Yes.
Because the week has alreadybeen fed Newed.

Carrie (03:49):
Well, it's our summer sale week.
Yeah.
So there's just a lot happeningaround here.
Yeah.
Christine and I worked in thestore where it was only supposed
to be two hours yesterday.
It wasn't only two hours.
It was so busy.

Kristine (03:58):
So busy.
I felt like I was, I don't know.
I was walking through the.
On Amazon.
It was wild.
I don't know.
It was so wild.

Carrie (04:07):
can, can just talk about Apple watches for a second.
Speaking of like walking a lotand all that.
Okay, so every month your AppleWatch gives you a challenge to
complete and I try to completethem every month.
Um, my June challenge was, holdon, sorry.
Sorry.
Let's start at May.
'cause, may I completed, may wasI have to go 2.6 kilometers, 14
times in a month.

(04:28):
Fine.
Easy.
June was five walking workoutsin a month.
Great.
Love that.
July was exercise.
20 exercise minutes a day, 14days.
Easy.
Got that August.
Earn this award by burning 627calories a day.
14 times.
What the fuck?

Kristine (04:48):
Who can do?
Nope.
Thanks Apple.
Watch.
That's an asshole move.
So I want

Carrie (04:55):
this like, I want this award because it sits here and I
don't want to be a quitter.
So now I have to do that.
But like way to build me up withthese like easy challenges and
then fucking throw that in themix.
That's,

Kristine (05:10):
that's rude.

Carrie (05:10):
Yeah.
I'd write them a letter.
I'm gonna, but I want my bags.
600 and what Calories?
6 27.
14 times.
What do they want you to do?
That's half

Kristine (05:19):
the month.
I wish I had accessed my phone.
'cause I wanna see what I like.
I think I get that in like a 14,16 kilometer run and like,
That's a L.
That's a lot.
You can't that for, how is it?
I'm shook.
They want you to do that 14times.
That's half

Carrie (05:36):
the month, two weeks of that.
I think I've, I think, I mean,and I did it quite a few times
last month, so that's probablywhat they're basing it off of.
But like so much for lazy

Kristine (05:47):
August, I do a four long, like four long runs, so
like 12 to 16, 18 kilometersfour times a month and they want
four times that.
They want me to do it 14 times.
Get bent.
Steve Jobs.
Yeah.

Carrie (06:03):
like I didn't get that yesterday at that.
I didn't get that yesterday andI like, I pretty much gave it my
all yesterday, so I'm upset.
That's,

Kristine (06:11):
that's really stupid.
I wanna tell you that.
Thank you.
I'm not

Carrie (06:14):
happy about that.
Thank you.
Yeah, and I'm always excited forAugust 1st,'cause I'm excited to
see what the challenge is forthe month and see if I can do
it.
Yeah, it's

Kristine (06:20):
like your birthday month.
It's a good month.
There's lots of things going on.

Carrie (06:24):
Well, I'm not getting 627 cal calories 14 times this
month.

Kristine (06:29):
I think that's an actual joke.
What?
You should, you know what?
I'll, I will trade you my watchwhen I go for those, when you
long, when long runs.
Because that's, it's dumb.
I'm sh like, I don't even thinkI've said a full sentence yet
because I'm just shook.

Carrie (06:43):
Like I was taking you through and I told you like the
first couple, and then it waslike, boom.
That's mean.

Kristine (06:48):
I'm like, oh, you just go for a couple walks

Carrie (06:51):
this month and you'll get it.
Nope.
Now you need to run a fuckingmarathon.
14 times.
14 times.
Exactly.
I'm

Kristine (06:58):
being a little dramatic, but No, no, no, no.
600 and some calories.
Mm-hmm.
A workout.
That's a, that's a, well that'sa buttload just in the day.
Oh, just oh, oh, but still, that's still a

Carrie (07:11):
lot.
I don't get that most days.
I am usually around the 5 50, 575 mark.
Same.
So now I have to do like,

Kristine (07:17):
oh, I thought that I really wanted you out of a
workout.
No, I was actually serious aboutwriting a letter.

Carrie (07:21):
No, just in a day you have to steam drop yourself.
You just have to obtain it 14times.
But that's half the month.
That's still a lot.
And I, um, it's day two, so nowI have to do it today.
But like, what am I gonna do?

Kristine (07:32):
Don't.
Run barefoot on your treadmill.
Oh, well.
So it's segue into what we didthis weekend.
So how was your weekend?
Okay.
I wrote notes.
Did you?
Yeah, because I'm a forgetter.
Okay.
Friday I took Jace for a run andif you follow me on my
Instagram, you would see Iposted a lot of refrigerator
talk.

(07:53):
It is because I had no idea Jacewas as big as he is until I ran
beside him.
Oh yeah.
It was like running beside avan.
Yeah.
I had no clue.
I kept like checking over myshoulder.
Yeah.
To like see what it was.
'cause we were like, for themost part we weren't talking too
much.
Yeah.
But he, I just like, he startledme so many times and he is like

(08:14):
a refrigerator.
He's massive.
Yeah.
And I didn't really realize, Ihad no idea how big he was.
Yeah.
So we went for a run Friday.
Great run.
By the way.
He did a good job.
Saturday.
We did.
I had a long run.
This is like my, uh, my weekendwasn't very exciting until one
point.
Didn't you go do stuff onFriday?

Carrie (08:32):
Didn't you go pick

Kristine (08:33):
your, uh, plumbing?
Oh yeah, we did pick plumbing.
I dunno.
Was that exciting?
No.
Well, I mean, yeah, I got likethe shower stuff I wanted and
like the shower heads.
'cause I wanted a big daddy.
'cause I, if you guys do have, have followed us for a while,
I've mentioned many times that Ilive in my shower.
I take like hour showers.
Um, I sit on my floor and justlet the rain fall on me.

(08:56):
Yeah.
Um, so I was like veryparticular of what I wanted in
my shower.
This go around.
So yeah, we did that.
Um, we had Mr.
Sub

Carrie (09:05):
that day jealous.
It was

Kristine (09:07):
so good.
Mm-hmm.
Um, yeah.
So that was, that was funny.
It wasn't really that exciting.
Um, Saturday.
Um, I had a long run.
I did 14 kilometers.
Jace rode his bike beside me forthe first nine.
Yeah, that was really nice.
But I would like to tell youthat I'm actually quite a slow
runner.
Like I'm not very fast.
Mm-hmm.
Especially on an easy run whereI'm not pushing.

(09:29):
It's more like a relaxed run.
Right.
So he could barely make arotation on his pedals and he
did that for nine kilometers.
Yeah.
That's how he didn't hurthimself as beyond me.
Right.
Yeah.
And uh, and then he actually ranthe last five, which was awesome
'cause we like pushed each otherand it was really good and
thoroughly enjoyed it.

(09:49):
Saturday evening or Saturdayafternoon is where the
festivities began.
Uh, we went to the Deacons.
Uh, it was Nick's birthday.
Yeah.
So, um, he wanted to watch theold, uh, baseball game and have
some drinks.
So we did just that.
We did.
And uh, then we played somevideo games in the evening, and

(10:11):
we have other stories with thatas well.
But Carrie will get to it whenshe talks about her weekend.
Yeah.
Um, I just wanna mention that ifyou think your life is stressful
right now, I'd like you to goback and play some N 64 Mario
Kart and you'll be humbledreally fucking quick.
That is the most stressfulthing.

(10:31):
I thought my heart was gonnacome outta my chest.
Like, and that's

Carrie (10:35):
how I felt about Super Mario three.
I

Kristine (10:36):
have never, it's so stressful.
I've never sworn so much mywhole life.
It was so bad.
I said bad words.
Mm-hmm.
Like prick a lot.
Yeah.
And uh, like my kid knows, sheremembers.
Yeah.
Oops.
I taught my niece a new word.
I told her she wasn't allowed toswear.
But, um, I posted about it on myInstagram and my aunt actually

(10:57):
Reapp replied.
And I was like, I remember howoften I was grounded as a child
because I.
I would swear, like I would gettoo stressed out.
Yeah.
And like if my anxiety wouldjust like peak.
This is where my anxiety comesfrom.
It's from, it's from videogames.
Mario Kart.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, and she's like, yes.
She's like, I remember that.
You were like always, they'dalways have to take the N 64

(11:17):
away from me.
'cause I was just, I'm not goodat keeping it cool.
I get very competitive.
So we did that and it was ablast.
And we got home at like twoo'clock in the morning or
something like that.
One 30 You left at 12.
Oh yeah.
I left.
I

Carrie (11:32):
had to call it quits.
You left Jason and I to playSuper Mario.
We didn't give Nick thecontroller one time after you
left.
It was just Jason and I.
Yeah.
And he had the levels he wasgood at and I had the levels I
was good at.
And we, we good.
But the problem is, is when wewere kids, we used to play this
sober.
Yeah.
Obviously.
Obviously now we're trying toplay this drunk.
Yeah.
So we were way better as kids.

Kristine (11:52):
We were terrible.
Oh yeah.
So brutal.
The night.
Yeah.
That was really hard.
Yeah.
But it was a lot of fun.
Mm-hmm.
I would do it again.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
So I went home, I had a showerand then, uh, that's funny.
Yeah.
I went to bed and then I was outdone Sunday.
Jace had basketball.
So the refrigerator was busydoing more activities, playing

(12:13):
basketball.
Yeah.
Did not injure himself then.
No.
But he, uh, and then we hadsushi Sunday.
And then it rolled into the, it

Carrie (12:21):
was week.
Summer sale stuff.
Summer sale, yeah.
I spent a lot of time thisweekend getting the sale ready.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
That was my weekend.
Same.
Same.
Yeah.
Like Friday, Nick and I went tothe Bountiful Farmer's Market,
which is my new favoriteFarmer's market.
Yeah.
And I've never

Kristine (12:33):
been.
Yeah.
No, I've never been either.
Love it.
I hear lots of good things.
Yeah.

Carrie (12:37):
It was amazing.
It's so, such a big building.
Yeah.
It's inside, which is nice.
That is nice.
They do it for three days.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Iguess.
Nice.
And uh, we bought meat.
Yeah.
We went for meat.
I see.
I

Kristine (12:49):
went for blueberries.
I did

Carrie (12:50):
see the meat in your fridge.
Yeah.
So I went for blueberries.
Yeah.
Nick went for.
Beef Beef cow.
And then, uh, honestly, myFriday was, I worked most of it.
Yeah.
Because I, I procrastinatedduring the week on some of the
things I had to do for thesummer sale.

Kristine (13:08):
Yeah.
That was my evening Friday.
Yeah.
I did a and morning Saturday.
Yeah.

Carrie (13:12):
I did a lot of work.
And then, um, Saturday morningand then obviously it was Nick's
birthday, so I didn't actuallyplan on Saturday.
Being an afternoon of drinking,I honestly thought that we were
gonna, you guys were gonna comewatch baseball.
I was gonna go do my walk.
Like it was just gonna be laxand then maybe we'd have dinner,

(13:32):
thought it was gonna be like, nobig thing.
Well, it turned into a big thingand around four 30 I looked at
Christine and I was like, Ihaven't done my five K walk yet
today.
And I was like, crap, when thehell am I gonna do this?
So she's like, well, when we godownstairs and play video games,
you should just go walk on thetreadmill.
Run on the treadmill and I waslike, yeah, good idea.

(13:54):
Yeah.
So in between levels of meplaying.
'cause obviously like whenyou're playing old school, um,
video games, you take

Kristine (14:01):
turns and that like how that rule is consistent.
Yeah.
Like that's how the rule waswhen we were kids and now that's
when we're you take turns, youpass the

Carrie (14:09):
remote around.
If you die, you're out theremote.
Yeah.
but like here we are, you passthat controller around and
anytime it wast my turn, I ranto the treadmill and I decided I
was going to sprint on thetreadmill.
Not run, not like leisurelypace, no sprinting.
And the kicker.
What was the kicker, Christine?
What did I do?
Oh,

Kristine (14:29):
it was basically a episode of Naked and Afraid.
Here she, and by that she wasfully clothed, but she was
barefoot.
I ran barefoot on

Carrie (14:37):
the treadmill.
I sprinted barefoot on thetreadmill.
My, my, um, arch on my rightfoot.
Yeah, I believe it still hurts.
Oh, and it was really painfuland I don't actually recommend.
Okay.
Two things I don't recommend.
Um, Do as I say, not as I do,don't run on the treadmill
drunk.
I just don't think that's wise.

(14:58):
Yeah.
You know, like, especially'causeI was sprinting like full out,
like giving it all I had.
Yeah.
Kind of sprinting.
I just don't think that'sanyone's best move.
And if you're gonna do it, clipthat little thingy on you so if
you fall, the treadmill stopsbecause I did not clip the
thingy on me.
So that could have been mydemise there.
Uh, it could have been a nightthat ended in the hospital.

(15:19):
And two, don't do it barefootbecause holy hell, my like,
ankles and calves were so sorethe next day.
'cause they obviously were usingmuscles to like stabilize me
while I was running.
Yeah.
That normally your sneakers do.
Right?
Right.
Like your sneakers provide that, like ankle foot stabilization.
No, my, my ankles and calveswere doing that.

(15:40):
And like those aren't musclesthat you activate, so I

Kristine (15:42):
activated them and that's No, no, we didn't
activate those.
I was

Carrie (15:46):
like, I was like, limpy, magoo.
I was limpy Magoo for two days.
But you did it.
I

Kristine (15:54):
got my five K.
You did it.
Um, not ju like you did.
Um, I did some on the treadmill, some outside, um, during dinner.
'cause we had, um, which isanother conversation itself.
By the way.
The prices of crab isridiculous.
Like I'm flabbergasted.
Yeah.
Are you gonna stop eating it?
No.

(16:14):
Still pay it.
Um, but we.
So the other day I was cravingcrab.
And then, so I asked, like askedNick and Carrie, I'm like, well,
what do you, what do you want?
And she's like, well, let metalk to Nick and see what he
wants.
I'm like, well, how about crab?
And then, so, yeah, he, he alsoreally loves crab.
So we went and picks him up, andthen the prices were just
ridiculous.
But anyway, so while we werefinishing our crab, carrie's

(16:36):
like, well, I'm gonna go take acouple laps here around the
block.
Yeah.
So we're eating, and then youhear a woo-hoo, we can see
Carrie across the way.
Yeah.
Waving as she's walking with herdrink in her hand and her crocs
on her feet with socks,

Carrie (16:53):
Crocs, and socks.
You guys, I have Crocs andsocks.
So, but she did it.
She crushed her, her girl.
Also, also, um, last week duringthe episode, did I say I was
gonna post some things onInstagram and I didn't.
Some pictures and some thingsfor people to see.

Kristine (17:06):
I don't know.
Maybe

Carrie (17:08):
I'd have to go back.
I, I think I did.
And now I Of what?
Well, I don't know.

Kristine (17:11):
I don't know.
I'd have to look.
I feel like

Carrie (17:13):
I did.
I said I was gonna post somestuff and I didn't.

Kristine (17:16):
The good thing is though, it's just the beginning
of the episode.
So like in the first 20 minutesmm-hmm.
That we'd have to look back at.
Yeah.
But I can look back tonight whenI'm

Carrie (17:22):
editing this one.
Yeah.
Let me know.
'cause I'll post them onInstagram now.
Okay.
And then,'cause I was gonna posta picture of my socks and my

Kristine (17:27):
Crocs.
Yeah.
Nice.
Sick,

Carrie (17:31):
because I was out for a walk and, uh, posting my socks
and my Crocs.
So, uh, yeah, it was good.
And then Sunday

Kristine (17:38):
Summer sale.

Carrie (17:39):
Summer sales.
Summer sale.
Yeah.
It was our summer sales, so Ihad to get up pretty early and
make sure that everything washappening.
I.
Set an alarm for five to makesure the website went down.
And then I, um, got up at likeseven and made sure all the
calculators were running to doall the markdowns.
And they did.
That's good.
Yeah.
It was kind of nice.

(17:59):
Yeah.
And, uh, it was pretty lax.
My Sunday was lax.
I did laundry and got myselfready for the week.
And yeah, it was

Kristine (18:06):
good.
We like, we're prepared, like, Imean, we're usually prepared,
prepared, but this time I feltlike we were extra prepared.
We were like, we, I was startedworking at like eight o'clock or
something.
Eight 15.
Mm-hmm.
And, uh, we were making, we weredoing a little bit of extra.
Yeah.
Because we had the time to

Carrie (18:24):
do it.
Normally you and I are likescrambling.
The website goes on, we'rescrambling to get everything

Kristine (18:28):
done.
Yeah.
And this time we actually hadtime to do some extra things,
which was really nice.
It was good.
Um, I felt.
Maybe it's because this goaround, you and I were very much
in control of it.

Carrie (18:39):
Maybe, but I felt control, but I'm always in
control

Kristine (18:43):
of the markdowns.
Yeah, no, but this time was likethe social media, like the,
yeah.
Events and stuff.
I felt very like in control ofit.
Like I,

Carrie (18:50):
yeah.
So maybe we just had a handle onthe full shebang.
I don't know.
I don't know.
It felt good.
Or maybe you and I are just,

Kristine (18:57):
Seasoned veterans.
Yeah.
That we know what we're doing.
I have no idea.
Maybe, but idea.

Carrie (19:00):
Probably not, I don't think.
We don't really know what we'redoing.
No.

Kristine (19:04):
So that was the weekend if you did shop our
summer sale.
I hope you guys loved it.
Yeah, it was good.
It was really fun.
Uh, when this goes tomorrow, oursummer sale's still on.
Yeah.
So if you are listening and youhaven't had a chance to shop
yet, do it.
'cause it's, it's a solid, solidsale.
What are you giggling at?

Carrie (19:21):
Nick just texted me 'cause he's at the park with the
kids.
Yeah.
And he's like, did I just weededthe school?
Oh my god.
Garden beds.
Yes.
I did Like old man rivers overthere.
That's so funny.
Nick has both

Kristine (19:35):
kids because my husband, um, injured himself
last night at basketball.
He did?
Yeah.
So he texted me last night.
He's like, I hurt my.
Foot during the last play.
And I didn't, he, he kind ofdownplayed the text, so I was
like, I texted back, oh no.
With like eight

Carrie (19:56):
o's dramatic, you know?
Yeah.
Oh, like being buddy.
Yeah.
Because you're like, oh, shoot.
Yeah.

Kristine (20:00):
And he's like, yeah, it hurts.
I'm like, okay, whatever.
And then, so I was at home withScarlet myself, so I was like
doing bedtime and blah, blah,blah.
I'd never replied to him.
He must've texted me saying thathe got home, but I didn't see
it.
Yeah.
Because I was doing bedtime and,uh, he, he crawls up the stairs,
crawls like, dude, you know, I'mdoing bedtime.

(20:21):
Like, just wait for medownstairs.
Yeah, I'm coming.
Gimme a hot second.
He crawls upstairs and he showsme his foot and it's like purple
and so massive.
He, uh, ended up tearing hisplanter Facia.
Facia.
Yeah.
Facia.
So, It's, it's a pretty roughinjury, so that sucks.

(20:42):
So anyway, he didn't get homeuntil five 30 last night.
And, uh, this morning.
This morning, sorry.
And now Nick has the girlsbecause I wanted, well we all
wanted Jace to have a solidsleep r rather than waking up
and, uh, having to parentmm-hmm.
While I was at work.
So he, uh, hopefully he is stillsleeping.

(21:03):
Yeah.
So we're dealing with that.
Woo.
Yeah.
And we had Vegas in like threeand a half weeks.

Carrie (21:08):
Oh my God.
So last night.
Yeah.
Because I drove Jace to thehospital last night.
Yes.
Because, because again, I was athome with Scarlet.
Yeah.
So I drove Jace and the wholetime I was driving home, I'm
like, I, not that I care'causewe're going for my birthday or
anything, whatever.
If we had to move it'cause Jacehurt himself or whatever.
I, it does.
Doesn't matter to me, but I feltbad for him.
'cause I was like, if he ends upin a cast or some shit.

(21:31):
Yeah.
Like, he can't go in the pool.
He can't walk on the strip.
No.
He can't go out to the bar anddance.
Like he can't do anything.
No.
I'm like, and he loves all ofthat.
I know.
And I was, I felt so bad forhim.
Yeah.
And I'm like, I, I said to Nicklast night, I was like, man,
like I hope we don't have tomove this trip for like, not for
me, but like for Ja.
'cause I don't want him to feelbad.
Mm-hmm.

(21:51):
But I didn't wanna go to Vegasand him not be able to do

Kristine (21:53):
anything.
Yeah.
Thankfully he's not in a cast.
He's not in a boot.
No.
He'll be okay.
Yeah.
He just has to do activerecovery.
So a lot of physio work.
So we'll see how that goes.
But poor guy, my poor guy isalways injured, always something
wrong.
Old man river's just trying tokeep it young, you know?
Yeah,

Carrie (22:13):
yeah.
Trying to keep it hip and fresh.
But he's, he's gonna be threesix.

Kristine (22:16):
Yeah.
I mean, He's in like, you know, good shape,

Carrie (22:20):
great shape, but like when you're old.
Yeah.
Like when you start gettingolder, things just start like, I
know.

Kristine (22:26):
Poor guy.
Slowly going.
So when I watched his game onSunday, he was playing it, their
team was against like a bunch of18 to 20 year olds.
Oh yeah.
And it was fucking funny.
Yeah.
Like they looked old.
Yeah.
And like Jace's team was likethe youngest, probably 30
oldest, 44, 45.

(22:47):
Yeah.
And you can, they look like, like senior citizens.
Mm-hmm.
Compared

Carrie (22:52):
to these kids.
I really notice it in my last,in the last couple years of my
life, I really, really noticethe difference between me and
like 20 year olds.
Like I really see it and Ididn't, I don't feel old.
No.
And other than when I like, youknow, run on a treadmill
barefoot and I can't moveanymore, but I never feel old.
But I notice the big differencein.

(23:17):
The age gap now to me, I

Kristine (23:18):
can really see the energy level difference.
Yes.
Like they are ready to go.
Yeah.
And I'm like, I'm ready to go tobed.
Yeah.
Like I, yeah.
I don't want to, no.
The other day Jason and I weregonna watch a movie and I
noticed it was seven 30 and Isaid, oh, that's too late to
start a movie.
Like, I used to go to the bar at11 o'clock at night at the

(23:40):
earliest and start

Carrie (23:40):
my night.
Yeah.
Oh.
We used to not get ready tilllike eight or 9, 9

Kristine (23:44):
30, and my movie would've been done at nine 30.
And I said, hell no.
No,

Carrie (23:47):
not tonight.
That's when we would just startlike drinking and getting ready.
Yeah.
Because you know, you'd all getready together and have drinks.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
And music and like make a partyof getting ready.
Yeah.
No, no.
Mm.
Uhuh.
Not at

Kristine (23:59):
all.
I could.
I could not.
Yeah.
So those kids were just rippingdown the court and then these
old guys were like, wait for me?
Yeah.
Like that's, it was prettyfucking funny.

Carrie (24:11):
Yeah.
I really noticed it when we wentto Morgan Wallen.
Yeah, because like, I mean, obviously the crowd was a very
large variety of ages, but you'dsee all the young people and
you're like, I'm fucking old.
Yeah.
Like I am fucking old.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Which, speaking of, I'm going toMorgan Wallen again this weekend
on Saturday.
Congratulations.
Just so everybody knows,

Kristine (24:32):
I'm excited for you.
Oh, I'm so excited.
I just, I just love live music.

Carrie (24:36):
I love concerts.
Me too.
And I'm not, I know.
'cause everyone that's listeningis like, oh my God.
I thought you said you don'tlike, uh, music festivals.
I don't.
I really don't.
And I don't, let's make thatclear.
I don't love Big Valley and it'snot my fave, but my love for
Morgan Wallen outweighs my hatefor that.
And my two options wereSaddledome or Big Valley.
And I will pick Big Valley overSaddledome.

(24:59):
So that's a pretty fair choice,you know?
So I was like, it's one or theother and let's just do it.
And it kind of surprised me andarranged the whole thing for me.
So, yeah.
That's

Kristine (25:08):
really nice.
Yeah.
So that's exciting.
Yeah.
What

Carrie (25:11):
a time to be alive.
I'm so excited to see'em again.
So speaking of tickets,

Kristine (25:14):
so I'm supposed to be getting an email or concerts.
I'm supposed to be getting anemail today from Ticketmaster
with more instructions aboutthis verified Oh yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
I haven't gotten the email yetand I know it's only 11:00 AM
but like, where the fuck it

Carrie (25:26):
at?
It usually like goes out allafternoon.
I was gonna

Kristine (25:29):
check Jace's email also this morning.
Yeah.
But I don't look at his phoneand I, I felt like it was too
much.
Yeah, yeah.
Even just to look forTicketmaster.
I was like, that's too, do youhave teeth in right now?
No.
It's weird.
I forgot my name is the line.
Yeah.
No, I don't, didn't forget it.
Sorry.
It's in the car.
Yeah, because I, when I stoppedat Starbucks this morning, I
also got breakfast.
Oh, okay.
And uh, I took them out and Iforgot to put them back in.

(25:50):
Sorry, I

Carrie (25:50):
didn't mean to interrupt you.
No, I just, no, it's noticedthey weren't in.

Kristine (25:53):
Yeah, no, they're not there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, but yeah, so I'm justwaiting on an email.
I

Carrie (25:58):
also don't like breaking into fuels phones.

Kristine (26:00):
Yeah.
No, I don't feel so.
For me, yes.
It, like, I couldn't even golook to see if Ticketmaster send
an email.
Yeah.
You know?

Carrie (26:09):
Yeah.

Kristine (26:09):
I'm not that person.
And Nick asked me today, he'slike, is Jason's phone on?
I'm like, no idea.
Mm-hmm.
Couldn't tell you.
I didn't even touch it.
I put a bottle of Advil on itand that was as the closest I
got to his phone.
Yeah.
No.
Yeah.
Uh, unless he like gives mepermission mm-hmm.
To like, look at something.
Let's say I didn't have my phonewith me or something.
Yeah.
And I need to Google something.
'cause I need to know'cause itfeels yucky.

(26:30):
Yeah.
I'm not a big fan of that all.
No.

Carrie (26:32):
I don't even like when you're like, oh, can you just
like go and like when we'redriving and you're like, oh, can
you go onto my phone?
And like, I'm,'cause I feel likebad scrolling through your apps.
I

Kristine (26:40):
don't know why.
Well, the apps are just such Iknow, but, you know, struggle.
I know.
Like, I just don't like Yeah.
Makes me, it just not my f No, Iget it.
I understand.
It's not my, I don't sound likegoing people's

Carrie (26:50):
phones in general, it's,

Kristine (26:52):
it's just so private.

Carrie (26:53):
Yeah.
And like, I feel bad'cause oneof the,'cause my daughter Brooke
has a phone and, uh, one of thethings I don't like, I, we do go
through her phone because like, she's nine.
Yeah.
But, and it, it's gonna be therule forever that her phone is
allowed to be,

Kristine (27:12):
Looked through.
Yeah.
Well her phone was your phonebecause you paid for it.
Yeah.
Well she's

Carrie (27:16):
a kid, right?
Yeah, exactly.
Even, even when she's an olderkid.
I still think that that'ssomething that you should be
allowed to, like, that's rule.
Yeah.
Like nothing should be privateon your phone when you're a kid.
And even then, that makes mefeel yucky.
I'm like,

Kristine (27:29):
I watched, it was a real or something.
Probably reel.
'cause I, I do, I watch thosemore often.
But it was, uh, a really goodone about parenting and phones
and we're not quite there yet,but it was good information for
later on.
Mm-hmm.
And the guy mentioned, he'slike, he said just like what?
I said, it's not their phone,it's your phone'cause you pay
for it.
And you gave them that Yep.
Privilege to have.
Um, and then he also does two,um, random check-ins on the

(27:54):
phone.
Yep.
Uh, where he gets the phone forhowever long he needs it, just
to go through it completely.
Yep.
And he gets two and he's notallowed to do it more.
And like, that's cool.
Just at random time throughoutthe week.
So two times a week he goesthrough it and I just thought
that was Bri.
Brilliant.
Yeah.
Because you, the kid will neverknow.
No.
Right.
So like they've gotta be ontheir best behavior.
Yeah.
And obviously just teaches themto be respectful Yeah.

(28:16):
With the phone and blah, blah, blah.
I thought that was really neat.
Yeah.
'cause that

Carrie (28:20):
night, so like Brooke doesn't have like free rein with
her phone, but at night by eighto'clock it has to be plugged in.
Yeah.
For summer, it'll change whenschool starts, but it has to be
plugged in on the counter in thekitchen by eight.
And so anytime after that week.
Yeah.

Kristine (28:37):
Yeah.
It's gonna be a whole new worldwhen we get there.
Mm-hmm.
Scroll.
Constantly asking for one.
Mm-hmm.
She might get one in a littlebit here just because like she's
gone like starting fall.
We're not sitting during hergymnastics.
Yeah.
We're not sitting there forYeah.
A three and a half hour class.
It is.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
I'm already doing the two andyeah.

(28:59):
Two hours, 45 minutes and I, Idon't hate it.
It's just, it's a long time fora parent to be sitting there, so
we're not gonna be doing it.
So I, we're probably leaningtowards getting her one just
'cause she's, yep.
But she's like, she can read.
Mm-hmm.
She's having trouble spellinglike, not trouble, but like,
she's only, she's not even sevenyet.
Yeah.
So she's not fully there.
Yeah.
So it's complicated.

(29:19):
I wish I

Carrie (29:20):
would've waited until Brooke was 10, Nick and had that
conversation.
Yeah.

Kristine (29:22):
But again, the only thing, the only reason why we
are looking is, or potentiallytalking about it's because of
the sports.
Right.
And she's out of our care for solong.
Yeah, that's

Carrie (29:33):
fair.
It's tough.
Mine was when Brooke,'causeBrooke has really bad allergies.
Yes.
When she's at people's houses.
Yeah.
That was my thing.
Especially because not everyonehas home phone anymore.
Yeah.
No, because Brooke doesn't takehers to gymnastics.
Maybe she does.
She has it at camp.

Kristine (29:48):
Yeah, fair enough.
Because they can't take'em toschool.
Right.

Carrie (29:52):
Yeah.
So it's a, it's a very tricky,it's a tricky balance.
But allergies were my triggerfor that.
Yeah.

Kristine (29:57):
Because what are the reasons that, wait, why you
would have waited?

Carrie (30:01):
I just feel like it becomes a thing.
Yeah.
Like it's your, you know, it'svery early and like we do have a
lot of boundaries with whenshe's allowed to use it.
But it's like, it's always athing.
She always wants it.
Right.
And she always wants to like, Dosomething on it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And like, it's just one morescreen that she has in her life.
And I, it it just like, it's anall consuming thing.

(30:24):
Yeah.
It's the same for adults orteenagers.
Right.
Of course.
And like, I wish I would'vewaited till she was just a
little bit older.
Mm-hmm.
But again, she was starting togo over to friend's houses and I
just was with her allergies andstuff.
I was just very uncomfortablewith her not having any way to
contact us.
Yeah, fair enough.
But again,

Kristine (30:42):
you know.
Yeah, it's tough.
'cause then they wanna be on itwhen they have company over,
like friends over.
Yeah.
And it's like, and it's, it'shard.
'cause then like they, it'snoticed and their friends notice
it too.
Yeah.
Like it's tough.
Yeah.
So I get it.
I understand it completely.
Both sides.
All sides.
Yeah.
So

Carrie (30:57):
it's like, she has different rules when like
school's back in versus likesummer and stuff.
But you know, it's always athing.
It's just another thing.
You have to like create rulesaround, you know.
Yeah.

Kristine (31:07):
Yeah.
How old were you when you hadyour first cell phone?

Carrie (31:09):
I was pretty young.
Yeah.
I, I was definitely like one ofthe first, if not the first
person I knew that had one, butI was probably in like grade
five or six.
Yeah, I was young.
Yeah.
Like really young.

Kristine (31:21):
Amanda and I had one to share when I was, um, I think
I was 12 or 13 and she was 14,15, so she was in high school.
Yeah.
We had a bunch to share.
And then I got my own personalone was when I was 17, but I had
to pay for it.
Oh, okay.
So that

Carrie (31:38):
was, I definitely had one through all of high school.
Yeah.
And junior, most of junior high,I think.

Kristine (31:45):
Yeah.
I had to, my mom's ex-boyfriendput his name down for me to get
it.
Oh.
Because like, yeah.
Uh, I can't remember.
Mom couldn't, I don't rememberwhat Yeah.
But she didn't, or she couldn't,whatever.
And my dad was like, firm onlike, I'm not paying for this.
So like, no.
Yeah.
You get yourself a job.
You, if you want this, you haveto do it.

(32:06):
So then he did it.
And uh, and then I was veryresponsible with it.
'cause like I was quiteresponsible Yeah.
As a, as a kid.

Carrie (32:14):
I just feel like phones are so different than they were
when we were kids.
Oh.
Like all you could do is like, make phone calls on them and
play snake.
And

Kristine (32:19):
snake was badass.
It was.
And like this end, a textmessage took 30 minutes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like that's why we had the shortkeys, like, yeah,

Carrie (32:27):
you are too.
And like, I don't feel like,like texting was a thing until I
was in high school.

Kristine (32:32):
Yeah.

Carrie (32:32):
And I remember when you used to get the bill and it
would show every text message.
Yeah.
Like what a wild time.
Right.
So yeah.
Kids in technology, it's just,it's such a tricky little
navigator.

Kristine (32:42):
You know?
Everybody in technology is hard.
It is to navigate.
It

Carrie (32:45):
is.
'cause it's very like, it's justpart

Kristine (32:48):
of your life and like cell phones Yeah.
Have been around for a while, but this is still very new.
Yeah.
Especially with how, what thecell phone offers.
Yeah.
Anyway, should

Carrie (32:57):
we actually dive into our episode?
We should also, just a note, um,the book club has officially
started, so if you are readingThe Happy Place by Emily Henry,
I'm so excited.
We're so excited.
Yeah.
So that we can to our episode atthe end of the month.
Um, I have.
It started, but I'm not veryfar.
But don't you worry by the 27thI'll be deep in it.

(33:18):
Um, Christine and I a coupletimes a week, I guess we'll post
on our stories.
You can ask questions or giveyour feedback and Yeah.
Then we have some stuff to talk

Kristine (33:25):
about on the episode.
Yeah.
And we'll post, um, we'll postsome like questions that we're
going to reference when duringthat episode, so then you can
kind of answer along with usYep.
As well.
Um, so we'll, we'll probably getstarted on that probably next
week.
Mm-hmm.
Just give us a little bit moretime to get into the book.
Yep.
Um, we do have a giveaway goingon our Instagram right now.

(33:48):
It'll still be on when thisepisode airs, so make sure you
go and, uh, enter that.
We'll also have one in theinsiders group, which should
probably, yeah, we're just,We're not there yet.
Summer sale you guys.
Yeah.
It's all consuming.
It is.
I texted my friend Taylor, andI'm like, Hey, just letting you
know I'm not dead.
He's like, cool, great.
He's like, no, if I ever wannado a a check-in, I just check

(34:09):
your business page.
I'm like, thank you.
Yeah, that's fair.
Yeah.

Carrie (34:12):
Yeah.
It's been, it's been busy.
Yeah.
It's

Kristine (34:14):
been nuts, but Here we are.
Anyway, so episode.
Wow.
I feel like we had a wholeepisode already before episode.
Yeah.

Carrie (34:22):
Which is okay because it's great.
You know, it's sometimes it'snice to just catch up.
So this episode we are talkingabout the changing seasons with
fashion.
Yeah.
How we handle it.
How we feel about it.
Mm-hmm.
And just like buying for eachseason.
Yeah.
Because it's, it's a

Kristine (34:40):
And how it works in general.
It does.
Yeah.

Carrie (34:42):
Like it's so different.
Yeah.
Because then and everyone wedeal with is so different too.
Correct.

Kristine (34:47):
Every, every business is

Carrie (34:49):
different.
Yeah.
So in case you guys don't know,um, for example for fall, um,
'cause we're heading into fall2023 right now.
Christine and I started buyingfall back in February.

Kristine (34:59):
Yep.
So we are always switched.
Yes.
It's kind of a weird feeling.
It's kind of a mind fuck.
Yeah.
Um, so spring we're orderingFall.
Yeah.
Fall.
We're ordering spring andsummer.
Yeah.
It's a little bit mm-hmm.
Convoluted and weird.
Um, and when we're.
You guys are asking for thingswe're like, oh my God.

(35:22):
Like we already, like we didthat, but you guys don't know if
we did that.
Like it's just

Carrie (35:25):
weird.
Yeah.
It's so hard.
And some of our vendors you cansneak peek things.
Some you can't.
Yeah.
Some are very strict with whatwe can talk about.
Um, Grayson Lace, for example,is one where we see a preview
really early, but we can'trelease that information until

(35:45):
they do.
Yes.
Whereas like Dex, we orderedthat in spring.
We could show all their fallline if we really wanted to.
Yep.
We don't,

Kristine (35:53):
but we could.
Yeah.
And the ones that don't allow usto preview things, we can
actually lose our opportunity tosell their items.
Product Yeah.
Their products.
So we have to be very careful inwhat we do Yeah.
And

Carrie (36:05):
what we say.
Yeah.
Same with Hilberg.
Yes.
We get to see what they'relaunching in advance.
It's not allowed to be, um,shown until they launch it
themselves or they sneak it

Kristine (36:14):
themselves.
Yeah.
Good thing for us, if we're notlooking at it often, we probably
already forgot.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So that's a,

Carrie (36:22):
that's a bonus there.
Yeah.
And sometimes Christine and Iare like, wow.
Did, did we order that or did wesee it?
Or have we not even had a tichance to order that yet?
It's so, yeah.
It's, it's a lot to keep inmind.
And then a lot of our othervendors, we kind of are ordering
only like a month or a coupleweeks out.
Mm-hmm.
Or like immediate.
That's right.
Sometimes we can order stuffthat are gonna come right away.

(36:45):
Yeah.
So it's all over the, it's allover the map.
Mm-hmm.
And we're releasing stuff like amonth and a half before the
season even.
Thinks about happening.
Yes.

Kristine (36:54):
Which is also hard.
Yes.
It's really hard to, um,pinpoint exactly when, let's say
like for, let's use right nowcurrent.
Mm-hmm.
As an example.
So right now, um, in, I meanwe're August, but July, we need
to pinpoint the time and thedate where we start releasing
the, the fall.
Things fall, but we're like, weare just prepping our summer

(37:17):
sale.
Yeah.
So like it's, it, it kind ofgets a little bit confusing.
Yes.
Um, when to actually startdropping it because like we are
in the thick of our summer sale.
You guys are still wanting thosesummer items, but yet you also
want fall, fall pieces.
But we haven't even hit Augustyet.
No.
Like, we haven't even hit the,the hottest time of our

Carrie (37:36):
summer.
No.
And it, I find it makes me feellike summer's over.
Yes.
Because you and I are preppingfor

Kristine (37:42):
fall, I always feel like our summers are super short
because

Carrie (37:46):
we are mentally, we're not in we're bad season.
Yeah.

Kristine (37:49):
Which is wild.
It's so weird.
And we have to start thinkingabout like the outfits we're
like already visualizing Yeah.
Wearing them and like theweather and we're

Carrie (37:59):
modeling them.
And we were doing photos lastweek in sweatshirts and I was
freaking dying.
Yeah.
'cause it was 30 degreesoutside.
Yeah.
It's

Kristine (38:07):
awful.
Yeah.
It's really, really weird towrap our heads around it.
We've been doing this for eightyears, but it's still really
hard to wrap our head around.
Yeah.
The fact that we're always aheadof time.

Carrie (38:17):
Yeah.
And I find, um, the hardest oneis this one because it makes me
feel like summer's over.
Yeah.
But the one that we actuallystart the earliest is starting
to release spring.
Yes.
We release spring in January.
Yeah.
Like as soon as Christmas isover and New Year's is over, you
guys are ready to start buyingspring stuff.
Yeah.

(38:38):
So like, you're almost donebuying it by may.
'cause you, you don't wanna buyanymore.
Right, exactly.
It's such a, it's so

Kristine (38:45):
finicky.
It's so weird.
And like the provinces, all the,the weather is slightly
different.
Right.
So like our.
Um, British Columbia customersare a little bit different'cause
it starts getting a little bitwarmer towards the coast and
like Yeah.
In, um, Ontario it startsgetting warmer.
Way warmer than here.
Yeah.
Um, at that point.

(39:05):
And then everybody else is inbetween.
So like, we have to really like, cover it all.
Yes.
Right.
So like, so Alberta customersmight not want the tank top in
January, but like, Vancouver.
Yeah.
You you are.
They're getting ready.
The gals in, in Kelowna, they'remm-hmm.
They're ready.
Mm-hmm.
So like, it's really hard tolike really figure that out and

(39:27):
like, and time it right.
Time it.
Right.
Because how many tank tops canwe release for our coast people?
Of course.
And how many keep, how manysweaters can we keep going for
all burs and mm-hmm.
Saskatchewan customers becauseit's so cold here still.
Yeah.
So it is a fickle, fickle bitch.

Carrie (39:43):
It really is.
It's hard.
It really is.
And it took us a really longtime to even like wrap our minds
around the fact that peoplewould be ready to start shopping
so early.
Yeah.
Like bathing suits.
We launched.
Started launching in April.

Kristine (39:54):
Yeah.
And we probably could have donea little bit earlier.
Yeah.
If they would've shown up forsure.
Absolutely.
Yeah, we could have.
It's just wild.
It is wild.
Yeah.
It is really weird.
So like if, yeah.
I don't

Carrie (40:07):
know.
Yeah, it's definitely a weirdone to wrap your head around.
So wild.
And so Christine and I travel.
Two to four times a year forbuying?
Yeah.
It depends.
This year it's only gonna bethree.
Um, some years it's four.
Some years it's only two.
We do two buying trips toVancouver.
Mm-hmm.
Those are my favorite ones.
Me too.
So we go in February, March tobuy for fall, and then we go in

(40:33):
August, September to buy fornext spring.
Yeah.
So like we are about to go buyfor next spring right away.
Yeah.
But we're launching fall.
Well, and we're still and Summerand we're still buying Fall from
our other vendors for current.
Yeah.
It's really, it's very wild.
And then we go to Magic twice ayear.
Sometimes.
We're actually not going inAugust.
Mm-hmm.
Um, it's actually next week forMagic already, which is really

(40:56):
strange.
We're not going for a couplereasons.
One, It's August long weekend.
Yeah.
And like we really appreciatetime with our families in the
summer.
Yeah.
Two flights because it's Augustlong weekend.
Were so expensive.
Ridiculous,

Kristine (41:11):
and like not consistent.
No.
Yeah.

Carrie (41:14):
There's none.
No.
So we would've been literallygone the entire week to go
shopping for two days.

Kristine (41:21):
Yeah.
And like we can't, no,

Carrie (41:22):
can't.
It's just not justifiable rightnow.
No.
So we opted not to go.
Um, we do have the chance inSeptember if we wanna go go to
LA and go meet some of ourvendors.
That's always an option.
Or they come here, it's justthis year it wasn't happening.
But when we do magic in August,we're buying for fall.
Yeah.
And then when we do magic inFebruary, we're buying for

(41:44):
spring, summer.
So you're buying usually thecurrent season that you're
dealing with.
Yeah.
Like the one that's justhappening.
Mm-hmm.
So

Kristine (41:50):
it always varies.
It it does.
And they always do offer likethe immediates, but then they
also offer future.
Yeah.
So it's like, it's a kind of abig mixed bag.
Yeah.
Which you have to be careful forbecause you do shopping.
You guys know shopping.
You can just get like, ah, Ilove shopping.
And get really excited.

Carrie (42:08):
Yeah.
And then get outta control.
Yeah.
And then there's also dealingwith, so even if we were like,
okay, for August we're gonna buyX amount of pieces for
September, we're gonna buy Xamount of pieces, October, et
cetera, et cetera.
Sometimes they don't, they shipit like months earlier.
Yeah.
And then you're like, well, I'mnot ready for this, nor did I
budget for this.
Yes, exactly.
So it becomes so tricky.

(42:30):
Yeah.
It really is fickle.
And it was a lot easier when wewere smaller because we were
dealing with a lot less volume.
Mm-hmm.
But now that we're bigger andwe're buying for.
So much more.
Mm-hmm.
We can't take triple the amountof inventory in a month.
No.
Like, there's no budget forthat.
And there is no space for that.
And there's no staff to processthat.

(42:51):
I was gonna say, nor is theremanpower.
No.
It's like none of it.
No, no.
We definitely, like, we have tospace it out, so we're just not
going to magic this August.
No.
And that's pretty much thereason why.
That's okay.

Kristine (43:01):
We have, um, like you, like Carrie mentioned, we have
the opportunity to still travellater on in the year to go see
our vendors.
We also, um, have a very goodrelationship with a, a lot of
our vendors mm-hmm.
That, um, we buy online with andwe can do Zoom calls, um, or um,
they can send us samples.
Exactly.

(43:22):
So we have, just because wedon't go to magic doesn't mean
that there's gonna be lessthings or less variety.
No, no.
We just have to do it in adifferent way rather than seeing
the things in person.
So, um, and we've done that.
Um, without, without going tomagic.
Especially over covid.
Yeah.
We killed it during that.
Like we, it was great because oflike the mm-hmm.

(43:44):
The communication ev got evenbetter.
Mm-hmm.
Which was really nice.
Um, granted we didn't get to seethe people in, in person, which
does bite because we liked tomake those relationships.
Absolutely.
But we also gained thatcommunication still.
Mm-hmm.
That makes any sense.
And

Carrie (44:00):
it's nice when you're not buying super far in advance
because you can also, you know, watch the styles change.
And another big thing, especially this year that I've
found, I know Christine and Italk about it all the time.
Things are so up and down thisyear.
Yeah.
Um, you know, It's, I used to beable to look at the previous
year and kind of predict whatthe rest of the year was gonna

(44:23):
look like.
That got thrown completely outtathe door probably a year ago.
Mm-hmm.
Everything's just so hit andmiss with, um, prices going up
on everything else, and like, the fluctuation of prices that
we, every month it's a differentstory.
Yeah.
So how can you buy for Octoberwhen you have no frigging clue

(44:44):
what October's gonna look likebecause it's not following a
normal trend?
No, you can't, we

Kristine (44:48):
can't even guess.
We can't guesstimate.
No, there's no, no, there's norhyme or reason for it, so I'd
rather be

Carrie (44:54):
able to like buy.
As it comes.
Yeah.
Versus buying in advance.

Kristine (45:00):
Yeah.
Like last year we could have hadlike the worst month ever, but
this year now it's like the bestyear ever.
Yeah.
Or vice versa.
Like it doesn't make any sense.
Whereas

Carrie (45:09):
usually if you look historically at our previous six
years, they all kind of had theexact same like up and down
flow.
Yeah.
So it was so easy to.
Not easy, but it was a loteasier to predict.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah.
This year, nothing, no friggingclue what's gonna happen.
No, it's like the

Kristine (45:26):
wild, wild west.
It's the wild, wild west.
It really is.
It's a lot of fingers crossedand, um, and pushing.
Yeah.
Hard and like every aspect.
Mm-hmm.
Because like, we gotta keepgoing and Yeah.
We have, it's

Carrie (45:42):
a lot of guesswork and we understand, we understand
that, you know, everyone'sbudgets have changed their, like
flexible budgets have changed.
Yeah.
You know, what you're gonnaspend your extra money on has
changed and we know that.
So it's, it's a,

Kristine (45:56):
and if you are spending your extra money on, at
LB we wanna say that we are sograteful for your support.
Grateful because we know and weunderstand how tough it's been.
Yeah.
Not just business wise, but likepersonally too.
It's been a freaking rollercoaster.
Yeah.
So like, if you are supportingus, Yes.

(46:17):
Uh, with shopping or justsupporting us by being, um,
active on our social media, thatis huge too.
So good.
So we just wanna thank you forbeing a part of the l l b fan
'cause Yes.
You don't have to be, and youchoose to be.
So thank

Carrie (46:32):
you.
No, it's so nice.
It is nice.
It is really good.
So, you know, it's just, it issuch an interesting, this has
been an interesting businessyear.
Yeah.
Not bad.
No.
Just interesting.
And I don't feel like, I mean, Iknow there's, you know, you hear
about it from like, bigbusinesses, but I feel like a
lot of small businesses youdon't, you just don't know
what's happening.

(46:52):
No.
Because

Kristine (46:52):
it's so, it's just different.
Yeah.
There's been a lot of differentchallenges this year.
So many.
Yeah.
Not like, just like, like Isaid, not just businesswise, but
like, personally.
Mm-hmm.
And like, there's just been,it's been ups and downs.
Rollercoaster 2023.
Right.
Like it's, it's been something.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But yeah, it's okay.

(47:13):
We, we push forward, we, uh, Weget creative.
We do.
And we make it work.
Yeah.
That's the, one of our, my, oneof my personal favorite things,
and I know we've brought it upbefore, is we could be in a
dark, dark hole.
Mm-hmm.
But Carrie and I will look ateach other and like, we will get
out of this.
Yeah.
'cause we make it work.

(47:34):
We will figure it out everysingle time and, um, whatever it
may be, we, we will look, literally look at each other and
like, Hey, this is, this sucksthis, but we'll get out of it is
shitty, but we will get out ofit.
Yeah.
Let's talk about it.
Let's figure out what we need todo.
Let's get creative and let'smake it work.
Carrie will do like her side ofthings with like budgeting and

(47:58):
getting like creative andspreading things out.
And I'll get creative on like, spreading the word.
Mm-hmm.
And getting creative in the, um,social media stuff or, um, The,
the like selling the things andyou know, trying to make a plan
within that.
Mm-hmm.
And then we just like divide andconquer and then we bring it
together and beautiful things

Carrie (48:19):
happen.
Yeah.
And this year we've had, we'vehad a fair set of challenges.
Charlotte

Kristine (48:24):
Jones

Carrie (48:25):
Challenge.
Ys.
Yes.
And that's exactly what we did.
We make a list and we're like,Hey, you're gonna do this?
I'm gonna do this.
Let's do it.
Yeah.
We got this.
And like, we'll do our pityparty for Oh yeah.
You know, go get ice cream orSlurpees or sodas or whatever,

Kristine (48:38):
or Yeah.
McDonald's.
Yeah.

Carrie (48:40):
And then, you know, we'll allow ourselves that day
or hours, however, depending onhow big the challenge is.
And then we're like, Kate, let's, let's face this.
And like we'll get through it.
'cause we always do.
It's just a matter of figuringit out.

Kristine (48:57):
Yeah.
It's just a matter of how, andsometimes the thing that we did
last time, we had a challenge.
Maybe it won't work for thisone.
Yeah.
So we have to, again, like Isaid, we have to get creative.
Yeah.
But we

Carrie (49:10):
always do.
Yeah.
And we'll usually bring Sarah inand we'll just have like a
little, like, shoot the shitsession and talk about like,
what the fuck are we going to doabout this one?
Yeah.
And then we'll just move along.
Yeah.

Kristine (49:22):
Chug, chug, chug along.
Yeah.
We do always, every single time.
And it's because we still, westill love it.
We do.
So we, we push.
Yeah.
And I think that's what you haveto do with anything in life that
you are passionate about.
I agree.
So there's that.
But yeah, so we do, uh, a lotof, uh, shopping trips when we
can.

(49:44):
A lot of online shopping.
We do do a lot of onlineshopping.
Um, what else do we do?
Um, we, a lot of lookbooks, alot of Zoom calls.
A lot of planning ahead.
A lot of not planning ahead.
A lot of not planning ahead.
A lot of winging it.
Um,

Carrie (50:03):
yeah.
Let's, that's one thing thatChristine and I will never stop
doing is winging it.
And I know that that doesn'twork for everybody, but we are
just like, I feel like you and Iperform so well under pressure.
Under pressure.
You and I just like, that's whenwe like really like head down,
get shit done.
Yeah.
Is when we're like under thewire.

(50:23):
Yes.
And it's, we've tried in thepast to be less wingers.
Yes.
And sometimes it doesn't work.
Yeah.

Kristine (50:32):
Press and most, like, I'm gonna be very clear here,
like very.
I don't know.
Very clear that with like 99% ofour like sales and stuff, I
mean, minus our big daddies, they're just like, we kind of
wing them.
Mm-hmm.
Like, and by kind of, I meanlike, it's usually like 40
minutes before you guys see themonline, we just discuss having a

(50:56):
flash sale.
Yeah.
And like, it, it's not somethingthat is predetermined.
We'll like kind of look at theday, see how things are going,
look at our monthly, see howthings are going.
Yeah.
Um, did we perhaps over orderthis item or like, you know,
what is it time just to get itgone kind of thing.
And we're, we will be, um, we'lljust, we'll wing it not flash

(51:18):
sale for

Carrie (51:18):
you guys.
So like, or maybe our inventorymanager is like, look, we need
room in this section.
We have a lot of X, Y, Z.
Yeah.
Can we, uh, get it moving?
Yeah.
And so we do and we do.
It's not planned.

Kristine (51:30):
Yeah.
The big daddies are definitelymore planned.
Mm-hmm.
Because there's more involved, like we have like our ads
manager Yeah.
For like Facebook, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
There's, there's a lot moreinvolved.
We have to get our staffing inorder, et cetera.
Make sure that they're prepared.
Yes.
Make sure the warehouse isactually organized for the sale
and all that good stuff.
Um, but otherwise pulling out ofour books.

(51:52):
Keisters.
Oh, keister.
Thank you.
That's nice.
Thank you.
Very nice.
Good word.
Thanks.
Yeah.
Good.
I

Carrie (51:58):
like that.
Yeah.
We're pretty random.
Yeah.
And just, and that's how we likeit.
But

Kristine (52:02):
that's, we're nots how we've always been.
That's how we, yeah.
It's kind of how we were bornand not just in business.
We were born this way.
We were.

Carrie (52:13):
I'm on the right track, baby.
I was born this way.

Kristine (52:21):
We also are very

Carrie (52:22):
good singers.
Come for a podcast, leave with asong.

Kristine (52:28):
Yeah, so that's, that's what we do.
Is there anything else aboutthat?

Carrie (52:32):
I don't think so, honestly.
We did.
Really?
Yeah.
We covered fall and fallfashion.
This year is gonna beinteresting.
Yeah.
What are you looking

Kristine (52:41):
forward to?

Carrie (52:42):
Well, I love that the traditional fall colors are
still happening, like theolives, the burgundies, all of
that.
But there's bright colors thisfall.
Yes.
Like that really brings mehappiness because I love bright.
Bright colors.
Yes, same.
And I just wanna be clear thatbright pink is, uh, trending
right now, but I have alwaysloved bright pink, so I'm just

(53:03):
saying Yeah.
That I am a little bit of aahead of the times.
Yeah.
Trendsetter.
Yep.
Yep.
It's the same as animal print.
Remember when we first startedand we ordered an animal print
piece and people's like wearsanimal print?
I was like, well, I do, I loveanimal print.
Yeah.
And then it became a thing.
Yeah.
Trendsetter.
Trendsetter, you know, ahead ofmy time, if you will.
I'll carry for more tips.
Yeah.
A pioneer.

(53:23):
Ooh, great word.

Kristine (53:25):
Thank you.
Or a pioneer.
Yeah.
You have a great

Carrie (53:28):
Like I vocabulary like I always see on TikTok where
people are like, oh, I'm in my alike my pink era.
Like I've been in my pink era

Kristine (53:33):
my whole life since 1986.

Carrie (53:37):
Yeah.
My life is a pink

Kristine (53:38):
era.
Yeah, it's true.
Yeah.
That's okay.
And that's good.
Yeah, it is.
Yeah.
I'm really excited for, um, likeyou mentioned, bright colors.
I am all sorts of jacked fororange.
Yes.
Let's give it up for orange.
Right.
Let's give it up.
She's coming back.
Nope.
Nope, nope.

Carrie (53:58):
Fuck.
Maybe one day we'll look.
Oh, there we go.
There she is for

Kristine (54:01):
orange standing ovation.
Yeah, orange is like a big colorfrom the seventies, but I mean,
as you guys know, seventiesfashion is very much happening
right now.
So much so it's back.
And orange is, is it's here tostay.
It is.
It's, we see it more than wesee.

(54:21):
Like black is obviously still aneutral, but we're seeing it
more than black.
Like it's, it's very much here.
Big.
Big.
It's big and like it's brightorange and then there's like the
rust orange, almost like pumpkincolors.
Yes.
Very, very popular.
So big.
Um, if you love orange, this isyour time to shine, baby.
And I love orange.
Same.
Yeah.
It's a great color.

(54:41):
I love it on my skin.
Me too.
Yeah.
I've always been a big fan, soI'm really excited.
It's really good

Carrie (54:45):
on you.
Thank you.
Anytime.
Yeah, it is.
I'm, I do love.
Part, like, not all of it,because, you know, but I do love
that seventies, like fashion iscoming back.
Mm-hmm.
And same with like the twothousands fashion, there's some
of it that I'm like, oh, that'sfun that it's coming back.
And some of it I'm like, who thefuck decided this?
Yeah.
Like lowrise

Kristine (55:03):
jeans people.
Oh my God.
So I texted you last nightsaying I was watching a show,
I've never seen it before.
It's called, um, it's alwayssunny in Philadelphia.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
Have you

Carrie (55:12):
ever watched that?
No, but I know what it is.
I

Kristine (55:14):
actually thought it was a show with Jennifer
Aniston.
Oh, okay.
And I had to google it while Iwas watching it.
I'm like, where's, where's,where's Ja at?
Where's she at?
She's not, she's not in the showat all.
Okay.
I had no idea.
She's in another show that Ijust got confused with.
Oh, okay.
Regardless.
Yeah.
Um, so it was set in like 2004,so it's very like two thousands
fashion.
Yeah.
And every guy had a flavorsaver.

(55:36):
Yeah.
And the girls were wearing likeshrugs, not cardigans, shrugs,
shrugs.
Yeah.
And then like the.
Tops, like the long sleeve topsthat go over the tank top, but
it's cropped.
Mm-hmm.
Kind of like the one that wehad, but different.
Yeah.
More looser.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's weird.
And then the lowest jeans, Ijust, I feel like your pee pee's

(55:59):
gotta be showing my

Carrie (56:00):
c-section scar would be out.
That's,

Kristine (56:02):
yeah, that's my concern.
I've got my c-section scar'spretty high.
Yours is really high.
So like, she be out,

Carrie (56:09):
I have a lot of other concerns.
Yeah.
Like what happens with my lowerstomach region?
Where does that go?

Kristine (56:18):
Mine would be covering my zipper.
Oh

Carrie (56:21):
yeah.
Like sitting down that, sittingon your ties.
Yeah.
Like, it's like,

Kristine (56:25):
where does that go?
Yeah.
Where does my butt crack go?
Did you I was, uh, shoot, Ishould have screenshot it and
said it to you.
the whale tail.
Yeah.
The thong.
Yeah.
It's coming back.
That disturbs me.
I don't.

Carrie (56:37):
I didn't want, want, want that.
Want.
Don't.
I don't want that

Kristine (56:40):
either.
I don't want that.
I don't want my Nope, nope.
No,

Carrie (56:46):
no.
And back in the two thousands, Ihad the flattest ass in the
whole entire universe.
So there was nothing to hold mylow-rise pants up.
Mm-hmm.
And so my butt crack was alwaysout.
Mm-hmm.
In my underwear.
Yeah.
Like that was just a thing.
Yeah.
Like, that's just something weaccepted.
Yeah.
And we're accepting it.

(57:07):
Again, again, again, you'reagain accepting that butt cracks
are coming out.

Kristine (57:14):
Whale tails and flavor saver soul patches, they're
coming back.
That's not, that's notacceptable to me.
Everybody's gonna be walkingaround like, Mark

Carrie (57:22):
McGrath, you know, and like I accept fashion and styles
that are coming back that werecool the first time.
Yeah.
But like, did we, did we, Ithought we learned from these
mistakes.
People, whale tail.
Whale tails.
I thought we learned from that.
Like it's

Kristine (57:39):
just, it's a little too disturbing.

Carrie (57:42):
It's just like the lower back tattoos are coming back
again.
Yes.
I saw that.

Kristine (57:46):
I saw I've followed this girl that just got one

Carrie (57:49):
recently.
No, you guys, did you not learnanyone who I know who has one of
those regrets it from the twothousands regrets it and now
you're doing it again.
Mm-hmm.
No, we learn from our mistakes.
We don't keep repeating them, wedon't keep doing the same
things.

Kristine (58:05):
Yeah.
Like the phrase is, learn fromyour mistakes.
Yes.
Why would we do it

Carrie (58:08):
again?
I have no idea.
I'm not doing it again.
I will not be, I will not bewearing low rise jeans.

Kristine (58:14):
I will not be showing my whale tail.
I'll not be showing.
No, I mean, I

Carrie (58:20):
don't like No, I was just gonna

Kristine (58:21):
say wear those type of pantaloons.
Yeah.

Carrie (58:28):
At all.

Kristine (58:29):
Ever.
But like pantaloons, by the way,I don't want my butt crack out.
No.
That's my

Carrie (58:36):
butt.
And I don't know where my gut'sgonna go.
Where is that going to go?

Kristine (58:42):
Yeah.
And like who is this trend fornow?

Carrie (58:45):
The young kids with the

Kristine (58:47):
flat stomachs.
If we have any young kidslistening, don't do it.
Just

Carrie (58:52):
hit, just don't, just listen.
Stick with like the midrise orthe I.
I thought the high rise trendwas quite great and the

Kristine (59:00):
skinny eyebrows are

Carrie (59:00):
coming back.
I know.
Okay, you guys.
Another mistake that was madeback in the day, similar to the
lower back tattoos, these arethings you can't take back.
Yeah.
And I don't know if you realizethis, everyone who's listening
is like, yeah, I know.
'cause I'm old like you.
But like when you over pluckyour eyebrows for too long, they
will never

Kristine (59:19):
come back on Thursday.
Tomorrow I will post a very nicephoto of myself.
Can't wait With the smallesteyebrows you have ever seen.
But you're

Carrie (59:30):
lucky because you didn't do that for very long.
No.
And so your eyebrows came back.
They did come

Kristine (59:33):
back, thank God.
But like there are

Carrie (59:34):
a lot of people out there Yeah.
Who have no eyebrows left andnow their, their life is skinny
brows.
Yeah.
Like you can't fix,

Kristine (59:42):
you can't take that back.
No.
That's a microblading situationafter that.
Yeah.
Like that is a

Carrie (59:45):
permanent situation.
Yeah.
That's rough.
Learn from our mistakes that wemade in our youth.
People

Kristine (59:52):
that like this.

Carrie (59:54):
We are those people

Kristine (59:54):
now we're old people.
This is what we need to do.
We actually need tomorrow, maybelet's make a reel or TikTok of
things you shouldn't do.
The trends that are coming backthat you should skip.
Yeah, like put the, put thetweezers down.
Stop

Carrie (01:00:08):
over plucking

Kristine (01:00:10):
because no, if you can see your pubic hair, your pants
are too short.
Like it's

Carrie (01:00:17):
just, yeah.
It's not good.
It's not good.
It's not good.
I

Kristine (01:00:21):
don't think we've ever said pubic hair before on the
podcast.
I'm really glad that was twicenow.

Carrie (01:00:29):
Uh, yeah.
I just, I think that it's notthe time.
No.

Kristine (01:00:33):
For.
These trends.
Let's bring the orange, bringthe orange fashion.
Let's skip.

Carrie (01:00:39):
I'm even here for the return of flares, obviously.
Hell yeah.
I love the wide legged jeans.
I love the, like, I love all ofthat.
Yeah.
I do not love things like lowrise jeans, skinny eyebrows, and
lower

Kristine (01:00:56):
back tattoos.
Yeah.
Do you know what I did when Iwas younger that I regret?
And I don't know why this was atrend too.
Um, you're like, we used to wearlike boy underwear.
Mm-hmm.
And have it poke outta

Carrie (01:01:08):
your shorts.
Yeah.
I saw someone doing that theother day on the

Kristine (01:01:10):
TikTok.
I have family photos when wewere in Disneyland for my very
first trip and I was wearing myold gym shorts.
I regret everything from juniorhigh and um, or maybe it was
high school, one of the twoanyway, and my, I had power
ranger.
Boy briefs on, and you can seeit in my photos from Disneyland

(01:01:34):
with my family.
I regret everything.
Everything.
Yeah.
I now like, you just look like abonehead.

Carrie (01:01:44):
Yeah.
Like don't, I also saw someonethe other day with the, um,
Playboy bunny.
Stop it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No.
And anyone who was from the twothousands know exactly.
I didn't even have to finish andyou guys know what I'm talking
about.
Yeah.
Playboy bunny, um, tanningsticker.
Like, were you even cool if youdidn't have one?

Kristine (01:02:03):
You know?
Oh man.
I was decked out in those.
Yeah.
I used to work at a tanningsalon.
I remember I was tanned.
Yeah.
I was very tanned.
Yeah.
Don't do that.
That's so bad.
Yeah.

Carrie (01:02:14):
I used to go to there and I used to have the, I had
the Playboy Bunny for a whileand then I had the heart.
Mm-hmm.

Kristine (01:02:19):
Yeah, the heart.
I had the heart too.
And Stars and

Carrie (01:02:22):
the, and the Tingle lotion.
Oh yeah,

Kristine (01:02:25):
the tingle lotion.
Like that can't be good for you.
No,

Carrie (01:02:27):
no.
And like if you still go to atanning bed, like that's your
decision, but like, I wouldnever again.
Mm-hmm.

Kristine (01:02:35):
No.
Like what did, I don't evenknow.
Do they still really exist?
Oh, I just hit my face on themicrophone.
Oh yeah.
Fabi Tan, all that shit.
It still exists.
Oh yeah.
Where?

Carrie (01:02:43):
Oh, Arizona tanning, I think it's called.

Kristine (01:02:45):
Oh, never heard of it.
Um,

Carrie (01:02:49):
Tanning some.
Oh yeah.
And you can, um, if you have amembership at like Planet
Fitness, they, you can use theirtanning beds.
Oh, Arizona tanning.
Oh, I had no idea.
Fabu Tan.

Kristine (01:03:00):
Oh wow.
Oh

Carrie (01:03:02):
yeah.
Look at who knew?
Arizona Tanning.
Where you at?
I think it's over by, um, um,the Home Depot.
Here in she park.
Yep.
You know, there's like thatwhole strip mall with like
average Joe's and stuff

Kristine (01:03:14):
in it.
Oh, I think I remember seeingArizona.
Something in there.
Yeah, that's the

Carrie (01:03:16):
town place.
Oh yeah.
Oh, who knew?
I'm just a spray town girl now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's cool.
Yeah.
Okay.

Kristine (01:03:26):
Well, should we fuck marrying, kill some peeps?
I don't have one.
I have an idea for you, but Ican't give it to you.
No,

Carrie (01:03:34):
no, I got this.
Okay.
I got

Kristine (01:03:36):
this.
Okay.
Well, do you want me to, do youwant me to like talk about.
Pubic hair again.
Kill some time.
No, no, no.
Yeah.
You got this?
No.
Oh yeah.
I'm good.
Do you want me to talk?
Do yours first?

So you have some time to thinkabout it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Um, fuck Mary, kill Carrie.
I'm ready.
Okay.
This is your, uh, Canadianedition.
Oh, I love Canadian editions.

(01:03:57):

Matthew Perry.
Okay.
And Justin Bieber.

Carrie (01:04:06):
Oh, it's kind of tough.
That is kind of tough.

Kristine (01:04:09):
And like, let me tell you the options were endless.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Like we have a lot of Canadianstuds.
We do.
We do.
And a lot of Canadian duds.
We

Carrie (01:04:23):
do.
Yeah.
Yeah, we do.
You're not wrong.
It is really tough and I just, Ijust watched the podcast episode
with Drake and, um, that galfrom TikTok.
Yeah.

Kristine (01:04:34):
Alexandria, whatever.
Yeah.
Or Bobby.
Yeah.

Carrie (01:04:38):
And

Kristine (01:04:39):
she is like, so she, for, I don't know if you
followed her back when she hadher Yeah.
Forever.
So she had her, um, alter egoYeah.
Alexandria or whatever it was.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, uh, for so long I was soconfused, but I love her, love
her so much.

Carrie (01:04:56):
She's funny.
I just, I just watched it and Iwas really enjoying it.
Yeah.
Um, okay.
I'm probably gonna kill MatthewPerry.
Oh, I know,

Kristine (01:05:04):
but like rrp, but no, I get it.
That's fine.
Like your options are like, these are tough,

Carrie (01:05:09):
but Justin Bieber,

Kristine (01:05:11):
I just love him so much.
Yeah, I know, I know.
Okay.

Carrie (01:05:15):
I think I would fuck Drake and marry Justin Bieber.
Yeah.
And that's my final answer.
And I locked in.
Yeah.
I no struggles there.
Okay.

friend.
Yes.
Can we share husbands this time?
Yes.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you.

Carrie (01:05:43):
Yeah, you can, you can.
Thank you.
You can dabble in that.
Yeah.
I mean, why not?
It's Carrie, Carrie, CarrieBieber.
Yeah.
That's so nice.

Kristine (01:05:51):
Yeah.
He's a nice ring to it.
Yeah, he's my pick for sure.

Carrie (01:05:53):
Good.
Because like, He's a

Kristine (01:05:57):
Yeah.
I get it.
Yeah.
You don't have to explain it tome.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Okay.

Carrie (01:06:02):
Are you ready?
Yep.
I'm doing fuck Mary Kill accentedition.
Okay, so these are men withaccents?

So we have Jamie Dornan.
So he played Christian Gray on50 Shades.

Apparently he has an Irishaccent.
Oh, okay.
And then we have Nile Horn.
Oh shit.
And then last but not least, wehave Liam Hemsworth.

(01:06:25):
Interesting.
Yeah.
Interesting.
And when I say Jamie Dornan from50 Shades, I'm talking like the
third movie.
Okay, thank you.
You know,'cause like specificshere, well he gets

Kristine (01:06:36):
a lot better by the third.
So can we just call himChristian Gray?

Carrie (01:06:39):

And like it changes my answer.
Okay.
Let's make him Christian Gray.
Okay.
Okay.
Liam Hemsworth.
Nile Horran.
Okay.
Okay.
We've got the, we've got a broadrange of accents here.
That really hard.
That's really hard because Ja,Jamie is Irish.
Has an Irish accent.

Kristine (01:06:56):
Yeah.
Okay.
That's really tough.
Yeah.
But I think, Hmm.
Okay.
I think I'm gonna kill.
Oof.
Oof.
Liam.
I think, yeah.
That's who I'd kill too.
I'd marry Nile.
Yeah.
And then I feel like it's a nobrainer over here.

Carrie (01:07:13):
Yeah.
You know, we're fuckingChristian Gray.
We have some,

Kristine (01:07:16):
yeah, we have some exploring to do.
I'm with you.
He is the one to do it though.
Oh yeah.
You know.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Carrie (01:07:24):
Okay.
Yeah.
Locked in.
Oh hell yeah.
Yeah.
We're killing it.
Hemsworth.
Yeah.
What if it was Chris Hemsworth?
That's tougher.
Would that have changed youranswer a little bit?
Yeah,

Kristine (01:07:32):
probably.
Yeah.
I probably would've married him.
Killed Nile.
Okay.
And then, uh, I just

Carrie (01:07:38):
wanted to know where you were at with my husband,

Kristine (01:07:41):
Chris.
Well, I'll keep'em around foryou and we can share husbands,
'cause you have beeper and youwould've had Chris.
Chris.
And then we'll

Carrie (01:07:46):
share them.
Oh, that was, you know, but.

Kristine (01:07:49):
You know what?
We'll

Carrie (01:07:50):
even get, I'm okay with Nile.
We'll even live in

Kristine (01:07:51):
the same house.
We'll share them.
Yeah.
And then Christian Gray can comeover.
Yeah.
And hang out with us.
Yeah.
With Drake.
I love Drake.
And we will just share until wecannot

Carrie (01:08:10):
pass them around.
Hey.
Okay.
What a time.

Kristine (01:08:13):
That was good.
I like how fucking sideways thatwas.
Right?
I love how

Carrie (01:08:16):
I picked accent edition.
Yeah, me too.
And I pulled that outta my ass.
Yeah.
Like I pulled that outta my ass, just so everybody knows.
Good.
It was a good pull.

They did a good job.
I really felt that.
Like I felt like some chemistry.

Kristine (01:09:36):
I like that they were laying, laying in a bed.
Me too.
I wanna lay in bed with Drake.
Me too.
How

Carrie (01:09:41):
do I get this?
Well, you gotta fuck Mary.
Kill him.
Well, maybe he will.
Maybe he will come on ourpodcast one day.

Kristine (01:09:46):
Maybe one day.
If anybody has any Drake Pull.

I don't know what the fuck wewould talk about.
She winked at me.
I could talk about Um, cardcollecting.

'cause he's a big collector.
Yeah.

(01:10:07):
And Jace collects some.
Okay.
Not to his caliber ofcollecting.

talk to him about Canadian facts.
Yeah.
