Kristine (00:07):
Oh, hey, it's
Christine and Carrie and we are
best
Carrie (00:10):
friends and we are the
owners of Lavender and Lace
Boutique, a online women'sboutique based outta Sher Park,
Alberta.
And honestly, we started ourpodcast just to, uh, hear
Kristine (00:20):
ourselves talk.
We sure did.
Welcome to Two Babes Podcast.
Welcome to two Babes.
Two babes in a bad
Carrie (00:25):
idea.
Two babes in a very
Kristine (00:27):
bad idea.
Poor decision making
Carrie (00:31):
microphones who?
Who gave these to
Kristine (00:33):
us?
Jay?
Set them up.
He probably regrets everything.
He is like, what the fuck was Ithinking?
Oh God.
Okay, so last episode, we, uh,we were, we mentioned that we
were prepared.
Carrie sent me proposals ofideas.
Yeah.
When we said we were gonna dothis episode on, uh, uh, what
(00:54):
your mom never told you.
Yeah.
Things never said.
Well, guess what?
That went out
Carrie (00:59):
the fucking window.
Yeah.
That's gonna have to be nextweek.
We just, the being the shortweek this week, we
Kristine (01:04):
just don't have time
to even like no girl.
We don't have time.
No.
If we wanted to do this, we'dprobably have to like set up in
the bathroom so we can at leasthave time to pee too.
Yeah.
Carrie (01:13):
And like it's not even
just the recording.
It takes a long time to edit.
It's Wednesday, we have tosubmit it in the next couple
hours.
Like it's just, it's just notreal life people.
We just don't have time.
Welcome to the real life worldof business owners who just
don't have time for shit.
Kristine (01:28):
Yeah.
Do you know what, speaking ofbeing business owners, and I
know we kind of discussed thisearlier, uh, earlier we had a
meeting with one of our staffmembers, um, and she just
commented on how we're doing agood job and like, we've got a
really cool thing going.
Um, I just wanna say that waslike one of the coolest moments.
It was just really nice.
It's nice to hear.
It was really nice to hear.
(01:48):
Yeah, because sometimes I feellike, We're chasing our tails or
Yeah.
You know,'cause it's chaos.
Yeah.
And it was just, it was nicethat it, yeah.
It's recognized that we aredon't doing something
Carrie (01:59):
good lately.
The last couple months here,Christine and I just, I feel
like we're constantly playingcatch up.
Like we're never mm-hmm.
We haven't, I don't even knowthe last time I was ahead, which
is kind of laughable because Iremember back in February when I
was like, wow, we have so muchextra time to do stuff.
And now we're always behind andit's really hard to like take a
look at like what we've.
Been accomplished this year.
(02:20):
Yeah.
'cause I just don't even havetime.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
So we decided we were gonna turnthis episode into a little
question and answer.
Shoot the shit, that kind ofstuff.
Yeah.
So, um, how was your longweekend?
It was really good.
So I
Kristine (02:34):
don't, honestly don't
really remember what I did too
much.
You
Carrie (02:38):
purged.
Yeah.
That was the big and not, notlike.
But, but
Kristine (02:47):
I was thinking of like
the horror movie.
The Purge.
The Purge.
Did
Carrie (02:50):
we watch that recently?
Was that the one we watched?
No.
What was the scary movie We justwatched Insidious.
That was terrible.
You didn't like it?
Well, like.
Kristine (02:58):
It was just fucking
weird.
It was weird.
And I like didn't actually likesit down and watch it, but I
didn't like the parts that Isaw, like the weird people that
were there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Don't do that.
Just don't do that.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, so my weekend, I feellike it mostly co consist well,
you guys came over Friday fordinner.
Yeah, we went out for a walk.
(03:19):
Yeah, we got high and went for awalk
Carrie (03:21):
gummies.
You guys, they really
Kristine (03:23):
just, they're just
different.
It's great.
Yeah, it's just good.
Um, and then, yeah, Jason, Ispent, um, pretty much all
Saturday from like nine 30 inthe morning to eight 30 at night
cleaning and, and purginggetting rid of just crap.
It's incredible how much stuffyou accumulate and like, I'm so
excited.
Yeah.
To like come home to a clean, fresh house.
(03:43):
And I know that there's morethat we could even, we could
toss.
Mm-hmm.
Um, we're moving in the next sixmonths or so.
So like, just getting ahead ofthe game just feels good.
Mm-hmm.
Um, and then Scarlet had a datewith my mom and, and her
boyfriend.
And, and it was great.
We had some time at home alone, kind of.
It was great.
(04:03):
Um, that was it.
I did start, um, Oh, I guess,oh, I did a lot of like putting
my outfits and my outfittogether for like the Jones
Brothers concert and stuff.
Mm-hmm.
And getting kind of preparedthat way.
Oh, um,
Carrie (04:17):
sorry.
Yes.
Gord asked for approval so hecan make our shirts.
I'll go look right now.
Kristine (04:21):
Sorry.
Keep going.
Um, no, that's great.
And then, yeah, so it was justkind of a bunch of like, who's
it and what's, it's thisweekend.
Mm-hmm.
I did start, uh, I startedreading a book.
Um, I started reading the, uh,perfect Strangers, the book that
Carrie was reading.
Last episode, I believe.
Yep.
And um, I'm only about fivechapters in and I'm really
enjoying it.
Yeah, it's good.
(04:42):
I'm really enjoy, it's verydirty right off the hook.
Oh.
Like sex, sex, sex, sex, sex.
And I like that.
Yeah.
So I was very happy.
Um, I think that's for the mostpart.
My weekend, I'm probably missingsomething very significant.
Carrie (04:55):
I don't think so.
No.
No, I don't.
I really don't.
Our walk Friday was, you know, you went, if, have we talked
about the lawn on here?
I don't know.
Okay.
Well, we'll, we'll talk about itwhen we get to talk about
yesterday.
So I started.
I read a book, um, this weekend.
It was called Gravity by SarahKate.
(05:17):
If we're talking about books, are we there now?
Yeah, we're here.
It was Gravity by Sarah Kate.
So if you've listened before youknow that Sarah Kate is like one
of my fav authors.
Okay.
It was good.
And I think that if you're intothis genre, you would also
really enjoy it'cause it's areally good book.
Um, it's a girl and she'shooking up with the son and the
(05:41):
dad.
Oh, good for her.
Yeah.
Good for her.
Like they're billionaires andshe's banging'em both.
Good for her.
Yeah.
So I just, I don't know ifthat's my, I don't know if like,
you know, sleeping with like aguy and his dad is like one of
(06:01):
those things that's on my list.
So I don't know if that's why Ididn't enjoy, like, it's not
that I didn't enjoy it, I reallyliked it.
It's just, it, it wasn't my fve.
It
Kristine (06:11):
has to be like, The
perfect
Carrie (06:14):
pair.
And it was, yeah, like the dadis like a rich silver fox.
He owns a business.
He flies helicopters.
Like he's, he's hot as hell.
The sun is like this, likelittle, like he's a playboy.
He's sexy.
Like it don't get me wrong, likeyeah, it was good.
Kristine (06:32):
It's hard to relate to
when.
With my past boyfriends.
Carrie (06:38):
Yeah.
Or current, you know, like Icouldn't imagine.
Kristine (06:43):
No.
And so fantasy, I think that'swhy I gross.
It's, I just, you know, it's
Carrie (06:49):
hard to relate to.
There's certain things that Ilove to read about.
There's certain, like, you know, things that I do enjoy to read
about.
This is just, I don't know ifthis was my job.
Kristine (07:00):
That's all.
And that's totally fine.
Carrie (07:01):
Yeah.
Can't win em all.
No.
Um, and now I'm reading CaughtStealing.
So it's the second book in aseries.
Um, it just came, I think itcame out a little while ago.
Um, the, it's called LeightonUniversity is the series.
So the first one was about tworivals, um, on hockey.
Like a hockey team?
Yeah.
(07:22):
And they were, they ended uphooking up.
Oh yeah.
And.
They won.
They were on a losing streak andbecause they played hockey
together, they were on a losingstreak.
And after they hooked up, theystarted winning.
Oh.
So to keep up with, you know, their superstitions, they hooked
up before every game.
(07:42):
I like that.
What book is this one called?
Um, around, hold on, it's calledIced Out.
Iced Out.
So Iced Out was the first one.
I read that quite a while ago.
And then the second one, I justhadn't gotten to it yet, so I'm
reading the second one now iscalled Caught Stealing.
So again, it is like the male, male, like.
(08:03):
I think I'd
Kristine (08:03):
like this.
Yeah,
Carrie (08:04):
you would.
Really good series.
Yeah, so I'm reading the secondone right now and it's really
good too.
Good.
Like I'm like 60% of the waythrough and like I'm thoroughly
enjoying it.
So it is about two best friendsand they're both like openly gay
and they both play sports.
So one is on a football team, one is on a baseball team, and.
(08:28):
The, the best friend of the maincharacter, he starts dating like
this Playboy at school.
And like the main character,he's not into it.
Like, he doesn't like that hisbest friend is dating this guy
'cause he thinks it's like he'sgonna.
He's gonna end up, uh, with him.
Like he just thinks he's gonnaend up getting hurt.
Oh.
(08:48):
And it's his best friend.
He doesn't want that to happen.
Okay.
Yeah.
Fair.
So he's trying to like, stop it.
Yeah.
But in the process of stoppingit, he also starts hooking up
with
Kristine (08:56):
this guy.
Oh God.
The same boy?
Yeah.
Oh no.
Yeah.
What about the code?
Uh,
Carrie (09:02):
well, yeah.
Oh God, it doesn't matter.
It's good.
Oh my God.
It, I don't wanna give too muchaway, so like, I'll read it.
Yeah.
And you might notice, by theway, on the old kindie when
you're reading, there's a lot ofkids' books on there.
Uh, Brooke's been reading herKindle.
Oh, okay.
And so if you're like, wow,Carrie, why are you reading
Scaredy Bat?
(09:22):
The Scaredy bat series?
That's funny.
A vampire detective story.
Yeah.
It's because it's Brooke readingit, not me.
Kristine (09:28):
Okay.
I'm rarely on the wifi on it.
Yeah.
I usually like download my bookand then shut it off.
Yeah.
Um, so I probably won't
Carrie (09:34):
notice for quite some
time.
Um, if anyone wants to know howto, if you have a Kindle and
maybe you wanna buy one for oneof your kids or you want them to
read yours, if you wanna knowhow to set up the kids portion
of it, it's pretty easy.
I can always let you guys know'cause I did that for break.
Yeah, that's good.
I got a new one and gave her myold one.
Yeah, that's works.
It did.
That works nicely.
Yeah.
And she loves it.
She's good reading it.
(09:55):
So, so yeah, that's the book I'mreading right now.
So by next episode I'll be ableto give the full recap.
Can wait, I'm already gonna tellyou it's a five
Kristine (10:01):
out five for me.
I cannot wait.
I just, I can't
Carrie (10:04):
wait.
There's just something about itfor me.
Kristine (10:07):
Um, this is completely
off topic, but I wanna make sure
that we touch base before, uh,we forget again.
Mm-hmm.
We want to say that we forgot todo Fuck Mary kill last episode.
We did.
And we know that.
We do, we know it now.
It took us three days to figurethat out.
Yeah.
But we know, and we are so sorry'cause the, like, we, we love
(10:28):
it.
Yeah.
And I don't know what happened.
It's one of our favorite thingsto do and we know how much you
guys love it too.
Uh, we had some messages beinglike, um, what happened?
Uh, we don't know.
No, I, I think we've just like,we just didn't, I think.
Our brains have been everywhere, but on our shoulders.
Yep.
Our brains aren't actually onour shoulders or in our head.
(10:49):
No.
But you know, we were just alittle bit.
Fanuc so we know.
Mm-hmm.
Like we know.
Mm-hmm.
Carrie (10:58):
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
It happened.
It
Kristine (11:00):
did happen.
Yeah.
So we apologize.
Carrie (11:02):
I don't, and like I
didn't even, I knew when we were
finishing that it just didn'tfeel complete.
But I also didn't know why andwe just rolled with it.
'cause honestly, like wementioned, we've just been so
busy.
So busy.
Kristine (11:15):
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was dumb.
We apologize.
Mm-hmm.
Um, Like what I said in Vegas, don't fucking comfort us.
Carrie (11:27):
Yeah.
And I don't know what I did thisweekend.
I did a lot of reading.
Yeah.
I wanted to like reset my wholelife as I've been mentioning.
So I got all my shit together.
Okay.
Like, My like, just like gotmyself organized, felt good, you
know?
Yeah.
Did.
Finished all my laundry, got alldone.
Good.
Organized.
Organized.
Everything feels good.
Everything else is really, orlike my house doesn't really
(11:49):
need like organizing in general, but I just felt like I needed to
just like, you know.
Yeah.
Do my normal routine that I doon Fridays.
Yes.
Do the bedding, do the towels, get laundry going, blah, blah,
blah.
And then, you know what I did?
What did you On Friday, I washedjeans and I was like, oh, it's a
beautiful day.
The sun's out.
Oh, right.
So I put our jeans outside, hungthem out to dry.
Forgot about them.
(12:09):
The smoke rolled in Fridaynight, so all of our jeans smelt
like a fricking campfire.
So I had to rewash them twice toget it out.
Oh God, it was so strong.
I was gonna say, smoke is sostrong it selt.
Like I threw them in a campfire.
Kristine (12:23):
Yeah.
Nice.
Yeah, they stunk.
Carrie (12:25):
So I did that and then
there the weekend we really just
relaxed.
Um, After Brook's first week ofschool, like Jim was just a
couple days, but she was tiredand I was tired, and Nick was
tired.
He was just coming back from acold, so we just kind of took it
easy, played games.
I love that.
Watch
Kristine (12:42):
movies.
Chilled good.
Yeah, that was same thing.
Yeah.
Just relaxed, you know, made afew bracelets here and there.
If
Carrie (12:49):
you know what last, last
year though?
Yeah, like September longweekend was beautiful.
Yeah.
We were in the pool every singleday.
We made that video with thecans.
What a freaking shame.
And like this weekend, thisyear.
Long weekend crap.
Kristine (13:02):
Such crap.
Such garbage.
Yeah, it's upsetting.
But we'll make do, I guess.
Mm-hmm.
But I, whatever, I guess I know.
Anyway.
We're very bitter about it.
We are a little bitter about it.
Sad.
Just'cause like our summers areusually spent outside.
Yeah.
In the backyard.
(13:22):
I feel like
Carrie (13:23):
I've barely spent any
time outside compared to normal
summers.
Yeah.
Kristine (13:27):
I, and we usually
like, um, maybe skip outta work
a little early Yes.
And go to the pool.
We didn't get any of that.
No.
Because of how smoky and then,or how rainy it's been.
Yeah.
We didn't get anything.
It's not
Carrie (13:39):
a nice summer.
Mm-hmm.
And like, Like sometimes in theevenings we'd eat dinner outside
and like we'd, Brooke would runaround in the backyard and
nobody dyed their hair outsidethis year.
No, there was nothing.
It's upsetting and like, youknow, normally, like we'd go for
like a walk-in scooter.
We barely did that this summer.
Kristine (13:58):
Same.
Same.
Scarlet didn't take our bikeout.
We took it out once.
Carrie (14:02):
Yeah.
No, no, no.
Like we did nothing.
Mm-hmm.
Because there was no, therewasn't enough Nice stays.
No, I agree with you becauseBrooke and I both have asthma.
I won't go out when the smoke'sbad.
So like No,
Kristine (14:12):
it's a no for me.
It's so bad this weekend.
It was, it was awful.
Yeah.
I'm, I can't, we're lucky wewere able to go out last
Carrie (14:18):
night.
I can't even imagine how bad itis.
Closer to the fires.
Mm-hmm.
So, really sad, but, Then whatdid we do last night?
If you follow us on Instagram, you already know.
Yeah.
Kristine (14:30):
Carrie and I went, so
this is how it played out.
So, Yesterday, during the day, Iwas like, I really hope the
weather's nice.
'cause I really wanna go gethigh and go for a walk.
And then Carrie hopped outta thecar when I dropped her off and
she's like, let's do thistonight.
I'll let you know when I'mavailable.
I'm like, perfect.
So she texts me around, I don'tknow, six o'clock.
(14:50):
And she's like, let's go.
Let's go for a walk.
What time works for you?
Let's do seven 30, blah, blah,blah.
And she's like, I'm gonna go popmy gummies right now.
She's like, you know what, let'sdo 10 milligrams today.
And I'm like, yeah, let'sfucking do it.
Yolo.
Yo, let's do it.
So I 10 milligrams down thehatch, and, uh, then I get all
(15:10):
my, I get all geared up, youknow, ready to go.
And then I say goodbye to myfamily and I head outside and I
text Gary and I say, holy fuck,it's raining.
It is raining.
Carrie (15:20):
Really hard.
Old man was, Snoring guys.
So
Kristine (15:23):
he was snoring hard.
So he, so he, so I text her andI was like, do you still wanna
go?
Like, we got, Jace is gonnafucking kill me if I stay home
like this.
This isn't gonna work.
Carrie (15:34):
No, I had to get out the
house.
Yeah, I would've, I would'veclawed my eyes
Kristine (15:37):
out.
We were, we haven't even, like,I haven't even left the house
yet and I was like, I was sohigh, so high.
So carrie's like, no, we'regoing, let's get our rain
jackets on.
So we get geared up again, andthen we head outside and, I, we,
we meet in the middle and we areboth lapping so hard as we're
(15:57):
walking towards each other.
Lapping,
Carrie (15:58):
hyenas, because I'm
like, in my head, I'm like, o
only us only us would go walkingin this shit, pouring
Kristine (16:06):
rain, pouring fucking
rain.
And I thought Carrie wasstanding at the bottom of her
driveway.
'cause I didn't have my contactson.
Or in, or my glasses on.
So I couldn't really see herlike, well, but I could see her.
So I thought she was standing onthe bottom of the driveway just
staring at me.
But.
Turns out she was actuallymoving closer to me, but I just
(16:26):
was laughing.
I thought it was the funniestthing in the entire planet.
There's just
Carrie (16:29):
so much, so much.
And so here's the thing, if you,if gummies are something that
you enjoy, uh, the occasionalevening because it, I don't
know, they make me feel so likelight and happy.
Go for a walk.
Have them go for a walk.
Kristine (16:42):
Being outside is like
the funniest, funniest
experience I've ever had.
It is
Carrie (16:48):
fucking amazing.
It's so like gummies for me.
Um, Uh, like back when I firststarted, like dabbling in having
gummies in the evening, it wasmostly for my anxiety.
Mm-hmm.
It was like the one thing thatreally like helped take the edge
off when my anxiety was superbad because at night my anxiety
was the worst.
(17:08):
Yeah.
And I'd lay in bed thinkingabout everything that was wrong
or everything that couldpotentially go wrong.
And when I had gummies it wouldjust like silence that part of
my brain.
And so when I went on my firstgummy walk, I just, I said to
Christine, I'm like, that waslike the most amazing evening of
my life.
Euphoric.
(17:28):
It was, yeah.
It's like everything's so brightand colorful and like, you just
have no worries.
Yeah.
And you're just like out therein the world and like everything
just, you're just so happy.
So happy.
And so one night I was like, doyou wanna come on a high walk
with me?
And Christina's like, oh yeah,yeah.
Now we go like once a week.
Kristine (17:47):
Absolutely.
Like, I love it so much.
We went Friday anyway yesterday.
And for me, when I take gummies, when I'm at home, I get super
paranoid.
Like my brain just just goes
Carrie (17:57):
like fast.
Like when you, you thoughtsomeone was coming to Kidnap
Scarlet, and so you wanted tosleep outside her bedroom door,
correct?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Kristine (18:04):
That was a bed night
for me.
I was.
Uh, like is the term greened outstill used?
I don't know.
Like I was out of control.
That's what the night that I wastexting Jace, like every two
seconds I was like, are you homeyet?
Are you home yet?
You need to come home.
Like, I need you home.
And he was like, I'm, I'm cominghome like 20 minutes.
And like 10 minutes had passed.
I'm like, you said you weregonna be home.
(18:24):
He said, yeah, in 10 moreminutes, it's fine.
It was so bad.
But yeah, I get really paranoid, but on the walks I feel like I'm
distracted and it's almost likea safe place.
'cause carrie's there with metoo and like yeah.
It's just fine.
It's fine, but everything is sobeautiful, so nice and funny.
Carrie (18:42):
We laugh, like I laugh
so hard.
My abs hurt the next day.
Yeah, same.
Same.
And like how often, you know, like you can't say that.
That happens very often.
How often do you say?
Stand or sit with your friendand laugh so hard that your abs
hurt the next day.
Like it doesn't happen enough.
Yeah.
But
Kristine (19:00):
on our walks,
everything is hilarious.
Like yesterday, this is one ofmy new favorite stories.
I actually, yesterday when ithappened, I told Carrie, do not
forget this, and I didn't.
I need.
To know this tomorrow.
Um, so we were walking aroundthis, uh, pond, this little
lake, and, uh, I again didn'thave my glasses or contacts on,
(19:23):
so I am walking and I see thisslug.
And I think, wow, that's a bigslug.
So I, I, you know, I got myhands on my thighs and I'm bent
over and I'm looking at thisslug, and I think it's moving
and then it's not moving.
And I'm like, oh, maybe that's arock.
And Carrie comes over around tolook at it and she's like, uh,
(19:44):
that's a piece of shit.
It was a fucking goose turd onthe sidewalk that I was staring
at for probably a minute and ahalf.
I felt like eight days.
It was
Carrie (19:58):
probably like 10 seconds
maybe.
Kristine (20:00):
And it was, it was a
goose shit, and I thought was a
slug.
It not even like a snake.
I thought it was a slug.
A slug.
It was poop.
Carrie (20:09):
It was poop.
I'm like, oh, that's, that'spoop.
That, that's a piece of poop.
That's goose shit.
Yeah.
It was just yesterday was likeextra.
And I, because normally I don'thave that much when we go for a
walks, because I like to stillkind of have my witts about me
somewhat.
Yeah.
Last night was like, no wits,no.
(20:30):
And.
Sometimes Christine and I'lllike, even at like with gummies,
we'll like talk about work orwe'll just like shoot the shit
about like, no, no.
We were literally talking aboutnonsense.
It was nonsense from thebeginning to the end.
I wish I could remember the
Kristine (20:44):
conversations that we
had, but like they were, I.
Garbage.
And so intense though.
Carrie (20:48):
So intense.
Like like when we got on atopic, like we were in it.
In
Kristine (20:53):
it.
Yeah.
And then we would just like stoptalking and then we'd just walk
in silence.
So slowly and I don't know howlong.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
So slow.
So slow.
You guys like a 14 minutekilometer.
That's.
That's double what I wouldconsider my slow run.
Carrie (21:12):
That's way slower than
even my most hungover walk that
I've done.
I've never in my life, in my ahundred days of walking, did I
walk slower than an 11 and ahalf minute kilometer.
And that's just like on ahungover day or like a tired
day.
Yeah.
We 14 and a half minutes to walka kilometer.
That's insane.
(21:33):
It's'cause I think we
Kristine (21:34):
stopped a lot too.
I think so we looked at thegreen lawn, the green lawn key.
There is this lawn.
You guys, we, we were justdiscussing, um, off podcasting.
We don't know.
We've talked about it before, but there is this lawn that is
the most immaculate.
It's spectacular lawn.
It's so green.
I'm surprised he doesn't havefucking laser beams around his
(21:56):
lawn.
Carrie (21:57):
He doesn't.
'cause you sat on it.
I.
Yesterday, last week on Friday.
Oh yeah.
I did touch it.
You touched it.
You didn't sit on it, but youapproached
Kristine (22:04):
next to it Yeah.
And sent a picture to Sarah
Carrie (22:07):
and you, it didn't, you
didn't get locked up?
Kristine (22:08):
No, but like, yeah.
I'm surprised it doesn't havemm-hmm.
Laser beams or like an alarmsystem.
'cause it is, the blades arejust,
Carrie (22:14):
I think he must trim the
edges with scissors.
A hundred percent.
I've never seen lawn thatprecise
Kristine (22:20):
and it's so
beautifully green and you can
see so green, the mow lines, like they're just perfection.
Carrie (22:26):
So like I think he mows
it like three times a week at
least.
Kristine (22:30):
Oh yeah.
So seeing this like not highsober, it's beautiful seeing it
when you are in some sort ofweird ass dimension that we are
in, it was like, whoa, we're.
Whoa, whoa.
It was amazing.
There's also a house
Carrie (22:48):
that it, it's actually,
it's like a dark.
Like a burgundy brown color.
And when we go walk by it, it'spurple.
Kristine (22:57):
It is purple, but it's
not.
But when you're not high, it'sbrown.
So we're a little confused.
It's so purple.
So
Carrie (23:05):
purple.
The other day I was like, thatis the purples house I've ever
seen.
And then the next day I walkedby, I'm like, that house isn't
purple.
It's brown.
It's brown.
Like a burgundy brown, like aburnt brown, like a burnt,
Kristine (23:15):
maybe it's the
lighting.
What we've been passed by it.
I just don't understand.
Is it, I dunno.
Maybe it's like a mood ring, youknow, like maybe they're, I
Carrie (23:26):
already told you my
theory.
It's like the fucking house onHarry Potter.
They're changing the colors.
Oh yeah.
The prisoner of
Kristine (23:32):
ban.
Yeah.
They're changing it.
I love, I love Harry Potter.
Me too.
We should watch that.
We should watch that high.
Carrie (23:38):
You, you know, let's
just do everything.
Hi.
Kristine (23:42):
Be so funny.
Carrie (23:43):
Uh, so that was our
night last night and honestly
used to have like a rockstar.
I
Kristine (23:47):
did.
Oh my, hit my rim.
Let's get my app here.
So I bought one of those whoopbands.
And, uh, I, a lot of ourfollowers know that I've been
like struggling this year.
Exponentially with my sleep.
Um, and I've been sick a lotthis year, so I'm really trying
to get a handle on it.
Mm-hmm.
And seeing, uh, I thought maybeif this could give me a little
(24:09):
more insight of my lifestyle, ofwhat I'm can maybe change to not
be so sick and tired.
Sick and tired of being sick andtired.
Yeah.
So anyway, so my sleep lastnight, this whoop band told me
that I hit 30% of my sleep wasin rem.
That's crazy.
That's not typical for me, so Imust have just been
Carrie (24:28):
right out.
I'm so, I'm so curious what mineis.
Yeah.
So I was like, I don't want oneof those, but I, I want one just
for that.
Yeah.
Kristine (24:36):
Fair enough.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It gives you so muchinformation.
So it was awake 5% of my sleeplast night, so just periodically
awake.
Um, which is wild.
I don't remember that.
Uh, light sleep, 50%.
Deep sleep.
15%.
Is
Carrie (24:53):
there like a, is there
like a, like a, um, optimal Yes.
Breakdown that people should begetting?
Kristine (25:01):
For myself, it tells
me so,
Carrie (25:03):
but like what, what
about like a perfect sleep?
Kristine (25:07):
Uh, it just depends.
Depends on your person.
Oh, okay.
For a person, for, from whatthis
Carrie (25:11):
says.
Okay.
I was just wondering if there'slike an optimal sleep
percentage.
Kristine (25:16):
So tonight, I, my
sleep needed is seven hours and
46 minutes.
There might be.
Mm-hmm.
It doesn't tell me that.
I
Carrie (25:26):
was just wondering if
there was an optimal ratio of
like, you should be getting thismuch rem, this much, this much
light sleep, this much away.
Like, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
What's the, what's, what's, whatdoes an ideal person,
Kristine (25:39):
my average sleep need
this month is seven hours and 42
minutes.
That's so nice.
Carrie (25:43):
And it tells you how
much you need based on like how
you feel the next day.
Yeah.
'cause it feels it's wild.
So, I told you like, oh, okay, you need a balance of around 25%
REM and 25% of N rem.
Deep sleep.
Deep sleep.
Kristine (25:58):
Interesting.
Yeah.
Carrie (26:00):
Want time to be alive.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So it's really neat.
So it makes me want one, but Ilike, I don't want one at the
same time, you know?
Kristine (26:06):
Yeah.
So one of the things that Iheard about and read about was
that you can kind of get alittle addicted to the numbers.
Mm-hmm.
I'm not too worried about thatfor myself.
Um, I'm just more so wanting tolike, See what I can fix.
Carrie (26:21):
Yeah.
But that's kind of one of the, apleasure
Kristine (26:24):
life.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I met a lady at the Ryan dinner.
Yeah.
She wore one for three years andthen she decided to quit, but
just take a break from it.
And she's like, you get a littleaddicted to it, but she's like,
I, it basically told her everytime she ate Pierogis she would,
her recovery would go down.
Interesting.
She's like, my body didn't likeit, and it happened every single
(26:46):
time.
I ate pierogi.
I'm like, oh, pierogi.
Carrie (26:49):
Yeah, right.
Yeah.
I'd be really sad about that ifit told me I didn't, I couldn't
eat ies I'd like,
Kristine (26:54):
so it must have been
like, I don't know, maybe the
corpse or something, but whoknows?
But anyway, so yeah, I did sleepa rock like rock last night.
'cause I like rock.
Like rock because I was just, Iwas out.
Yeah, I was.
I watched Lost in bed with Jacelast night and I thought I was
in the fucking jungle.
Carrie (27:15):
Yeah.
So funny.
So funny.
Okay, so do you have some, youhad some, some questions
Kristine (27:20):
for us?
Yeah.
Okay.
So another thing Carrie and Ireally fucked up on lately is
actually asking for listenerquestions.
And we promised we would getbetter at that.
So the other day, um, I didpost, I did a little story
asking if you guys had anyquestions and we've had some in
our inbox as well that wemm-hmm.
Haven't touched on.
(27:41):
That's perfect.
So there's a couple, um,individual specific Oh, and then
there's a couple, just generic.
Okay.
Um, Carrie, yes.
This isn't for you.
Yeah.
Um, how's carrie's five Ks goingand what's your streak?
Carrie (27:56):
Oh, I love that.
Yeah.
Um, so I'm still going, yes, still fi I did it last night
actually.
Right?
A meal took me 8,000 years.
Um, I don't know at this timewhat my streak is.
Okay.
I gotta be over a hundred
Kristine (28:09):
days.
That's fucking awesome.
Yeah.
Congratulations.
Carrie (28:12):
Thank you.
So it's, yeah, it's going reallygood.
I still like, I love it and Iwanna get to a point where like,
Because for the whole summer, like no matter what was going
on, like that was my priorityand I still want that, but I
don't wanna have the obligationwhere it like fucks up my day.
Yeah.
Because sometimes that didhappen where like I'd be
stressed out'cause I'm trying, Iwas trying to fit it in.
(28:34):
Right.
'cause some days I'm just, Toobusy.
I hate that.
You know?
So I didn't like that part ofit, but I still do wanna try to
walk every day.
Maybe it won't be five, maybe Iwon't like focus as much on like
the five kilometers, but morejust like making sure I get my
10,000 steps and making sure I'mclosing all my rings and just
like overall.
Yeah.
Fair enough.
Versus like honing in on thatfive.
(28:55):
You
Kristine (28:55):
did really well.
I'm very proud of you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
It is very hard to do something.
Um, Consistently every day in arow.
Yeah.
For a hundred days.
So you did that and that'sreally fucking cool.
Thank you.
Carrie (29:05):
So yeah, I just, I wanna
get to a point, well not get to
a point, I'm just going to.
I'm just deciding mm-hmm.
That I'm just gonna try to, youknow, I will wanna go for a walk
every day, but if I don't hitthat five kilometers, like I
just don't want, you know?
Yeah.
You don't want that pressure.
'cause when you're trying it and'cause it, it takes the fun away
from it.
Totally.
It takes the enjoyment away fromit.
Yeah.
Like last night I walked around,I mean, whatever.
(29:26):
I was like in a whole nother, Iwas like walking on space, but
um, I was walking around myisland for like half a
kilometer.
Like, lemme tell you, half akilometer around an island is a
lot.
I was getting so dizzy.
Kristine (29:38):
Yeah, that's so.
Funny though, like I wish I wasa fly on the wall just to watch
it.
Like
Carrie (29:42):
wanted to die.
I can just imagine.
He's like I, he's like, I can'teven watch this.
And I'm like, I know.
I'm so sorry.
Like I'm scared to figure eightand run into things and wake up
Brooks.
So, oh, the figure eight, you
Kristine (29:52):
guys, we did the
biggest figure eight I've ever
done in my whole life.
Yesterday we started at onepoint of the neighborhood and
like circled around myneighborhood and then circled
around Carrie's and then wentback up or whatever direction we
went.
But it was this massive figureeight you guys should have.
I was.
Mind blowing.
I've never in my life did Ithink a figure eight could be
(30:12):
that big.
Yeah, it was wild times.
Carrie (30:14):
It was insane.
Oh my God.
We're so funny.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So that, that's how walking'sgoing.
Good.
I, I love it still, and I stillwanna make it like part of my
daily life.
I just don't want the pressurebecause it something that you
enjoy shouldn't cause anxietyabout.
Totally.
How to fit it into your day.
Because five K takes five Ktakes me an hour.
(30:34):
Yeah.
Like by the, you know, especially by the time I like,
get dressed, get my shoes on,blah, blah, blah.
That's not easy to slide into aday.
No, it's not.
Not every day.
It's not, it's not easy.
Some days you can't, some daysno big deal.
Some days it's nice, but likewhen it was smokey and stuff
outside, but like, then I'd haveto go on the treadmill for an
hour and like, you know, thetreadmill.
Mm-hmm.
So yeah, that's, that's, I'mfocusing more on making sure I
(30:55):
get my 10,000 steps a day, closeall my rings.
Just like general, good job, health and wellness.
Yeah.
Thanks.
I'm proud of you.
Thank.
Kristine (31:02):
Um, okay.
Next question is for myself.
Um, You know, Christine has arunning coach.
Who is it?
Um, and who do I, who do I use?
Um, so I go through Skylinerunning.
Um, they are through Calgary.
It's a woman, a woman ownedbusiness, um, with woman.
Wow.
Christine, speak properly
Carrie (31:20):
today, please.
Jesus Christ.
Did you have gummies
Kristine (31:22):
today?
I wish.
I wish, uh, all coaches arewomen.
That was easier to say.
Uh, my coach is Brendaspecifically and she's
fantastic.
I absolutely recommend them.
They're very, very good, veryhands-on.
Um, First thing I said to Brendawhen I met her over Zoom was, I
need my hand to be held.
(31:43):
Mm-hmm.
Please hand hold my hand.
I get that and, and guide me.
I get that.
Carrie (31:47):
Yeah.
I needed it.
You're like me.
Yeah.
Where like when you're doingsomething, you're always second
guessing if you're doing itwrong.
Yes.
And you just need someone tojust like
Kristine (31:54):
be rattled.
Yeah.
And I wanted to go at this, um,with more information.
Yes.
I don't wanna go throughinjuries again.
I know that's gonna happen justwith.
Life.
Mm-hmm.
And I'm old and blah, blah, blah.
But I wanted to go through thiswith an expert and I'm doing
that and I absolutely love herand I love Skyline.
(32:15):
They're very, um, like aclose-knit family type
situation.
Mm-hmm.
It's great.
10 outta 10, highly recommend.
I love that.
And they are in Calgary, so I, Ido everything just virtual.
Carrie (32:26):
Mm-hmm.
It's so nice.
That was like when I worked withTiffany.
It's so nice because I hadalready started like, You know,
working out and eating better, but I was like, what if I'm not
eating enough?
Yeah.
What if I'm eating too much?
Totally.
And I just, I was like, I don'twanna, like, they're like, oh,
well just, you know, track whatyou're eating for two weeks and
see what hap I don't want that.
Yeah.
Like just, I just want someoneto tell me, hold my hand please.
(32:47):
Like, just guide me throughthis.
Yeah.
A hundred percent.
Like, I just don't wanna secondguess all the time.
Mm-hmm.
A hundred percent.
Kristine (32:53):
I, that's, if I need
an adult, I need, I need an
adult.
And she's great and she doeslike, I don't know, really cool
races and stuff.
So like she's still an avidrunner and still wants to, wants
people to hit their goals andit's, it's awesome.
Highly recommend it.
That's so nice.
Um, this one, Kay here.
This one's for, uh, for the bothof us.
(33:15):
Yeah.
Have you ever tried on somethingduring the Monday night Live
that you absolutely hated?
Yes, a hundred percent.
We always tell
Carrie (33:22):
you guys when we don't
like it.
Yeah.
Like, it's not that I don't likethe piece, but I don't like it
on my body a hundred percent.
And like there are just somethings that no matter what, I am
not going to be able to looknice because of the way my, I'm
shaped.
So I'm very, um, I have very, very, very long legs.
Um, I have very wide hips and mysoap, because my legs are long
(33:44):
and because my hips are wide, they sit really high on my body.
So if I wear like peplum, certain peplum styles where they
flare out, they.
They sit on a funny spot on myhip, so they go like, whoop.
Yeah.
And it just looks funny.
Yeah.
Or like some busier style topsbecause I don't have a lot of
space from my ribs to my, um,top of my hips.
Like, it's like this much.
(34:04):
Yeah, it, it
Kristine (34:05):
is.
Carrie (34:06):
Yeah.
It doesn't work.
Doesn't, and like doesn't,there's just certain tops and
stuff that just don't look good.
Kristine (34:10):
Yeah.
Uhhuh it happens to me
Carrie (34:12):
all the time, but We'll
say that like, this isn't for
your body if your
Kristine (34:14):
body's shaped like
mine.
Yep.
Or I like.
I'm so short, like this is gonnabe massive on you if you're
similar to me.
Yeah, like it happens all thetime and we're.
Pretty darn honest about Yeah.
Like there's no point in
Carrie (34:27):
doesn't lying and being
like, oh, this is amazing, or we
figure out a way that
Kristine (34:31):
it does work.
Yeah.
For us, i e like the, um,Nicolas or the Mar mm-hmm.
Or the Marjorie, they're quitelong on me.
Mm-hmm.
So, By tucking them up into mybra Yeah.
Is another way that I can wearit and feel comfortable Yeah.
In it.
Mm-hmm.
So like we'll always tell youlike, I prefer not to wear them
down on myself.
Mm-hmm.
'cause I just feel like it'staking swallows you hold because
(34:53):
you're so short.
Yeah.
But if I do that, that I'm,yeah.
The happiest little gal.
Um, next question.
This one, it made me laugh.
Um, Carrie and I will both giveour thoughts on a, on it.
It's, uh, thoughts on the JoeJonas divorce rumors, and this
kind of just made me chucklejust.
I was like, it's none of mybusiness, but I do follow a lot
(35:19):
of Jonas mother's stuff.
Yeah.
So it is very much in yourwheelhouse of life.
My wheelhouse.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, my thoughts on it.
It sucks.
Marriage is really hard.
Really, really hard.
And I can't imagine being intheir
Carrie (35:33):
shoes.
No, I can't imagine being in thespotlight and married.
Yes.
And
Kristine (35:37):
like they have so much
going on.
She's busy.
He's busy.
Especially right now with thetour and like the tour.
I dunno if you ever watchedtheir videos and they pronounce
tour.
It's weird.
Uh, but anyway.
So like it, I just can'timagine.
No.
And I feel really bad that theyare going through this, and I,
(35:58):
especially with like kidsinvolved.
Exactly.
They have two very tiny one's,like 14 months old.
Yeah.
Like fresh and the other one'sthree.
So like, yeah, it's, I'm justlaughing that I know this
information, that it's just, itsucks.
So that's my opinion.
I feel bad for them.
Do I think that it might helpwith publicity on their tour?
(36:21):
Yes, probably.
Because now there's all of us,35 year old ladies who are gonna
shave our coochies going to theconcert just in case, you know?
Yeah, you never know.
Although rumor has it, he likeslike 20 something year olds, so
apparently I'm out.
Oh, well.
So Sophie t herself was.
(36:43):
Yeah.
Carrie (36:43):
25 or 27.
That's like, that's like MorganMullen.
He likes blondes.
Yeah.
So like I'm under no illusionshere.
Yeah.
Kristine (36:50):
I'll still shave my
legs and shit just in case, but
like, just in case, you know, Idon't think he's gonna pick me
out of the crowd.
That's too bad.
I'm too short.
Yeah.
For him, I think.
Yeah.
He likes him tall.
Well, yeah.
And I gotta go to, Turkey to getthe surgery, but Istanbul.
Yeah, that's my opinion.
It sucks and I feel for him andI feel for her and I feel for
(37:10):
the children and I just, I feelfor everybody and it's, it's
just a lot.
I can't imagine being spotlight
Carrie (37:14):
work.
I just can't imagine beingmarried in the spotlight where
everyone's'cause.
When this first came out overthe weekend, there was a lot of
speculation that it wasn't true.
Yeah.
That it was just rumors, especially'cause he wore his
ring again during a concert.
Yes.
And I was like, I just can'timagine being married and having
this be false.
Yeah.
And you're dealing with that.
(37:35):
Yeah.
You know, like they didn't,obviously it ended up being
true, and I'm sure they'll speaka lot more on it or maybe they
won't.
But it goes back to how wetalked about like Brittany a
couple weeks or last week.
Yeah.
Last week, couple weeks ago.
Yeah.
Something, whenever it was, whenever that was like, you
know, it's all speculationmm-hmm.
(37:55):
To have people speculate on yourlife Yeah.
And speculate on your marriage.
Yeah.
It's crazy.
It is crazy.
And, sorry, sorry.
No, go ahead.
I posted on this weekend onInstagram about just, you know,
I kind of took a little bit of asocial media break.
Yeah.
'cause August was just a reallyhard month for me personally and
professionally and.
It's not because I had so manyquestions asking me like, is
(38:16):
everything okay?
Like, is everything okay withyou and Nick?
Yeah.
Like, I'm not.
I'm not getting divorced.
Yeah.
I just, I just had a rough monthpeople.
Yeah.
Just took a break, you know, butthat's how, that's how
speculation start.
Yeah.
I said I was having a hard monthand everyone assumes that I was
getting a divorce.
Yeah.
And
Kristine (38:33):
it goes like, yeah.
There's never just a like, oh,like a happy medium type of
mm-hmm.
Speculation.
It's like zero to hero.
Yeah.
Every single time.
And they did.
Both confirmed it.
Yeah.
Like they, no, totally.
They did.
And it is just, it's, I get it.
They are in the spotlight andeverybody is very much invested
(38:55):
in their lives.
Mm-hmm.
As much as I am too.
I get it.
Mm-hmm.
But we are all grown ass adults.
Mm-hmm.
And we're like honed in mm-hmm.
On it though, as much as we are.
And it's just crazy.
I always find like making like, yeah.
I don't know, like rumors.
I
Carrie (39:11):
always find it crazy.
People are like so heavilyinvolved in other people's
misery.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like in, you know, it's justwild, but it is what it is
Kristine (39:24):
on, uh, one of my,
okay, you guys don't make fun of
me for this, but I'm in likequite a few Jonas Feathers
groups.
Carrie (39:29):
You can make fun
Kristine (39:30):
of her.
It's okay.
So in one of them, this girlposted.
She's like, Hey ladies, like, make sure or please reconsider
making any.
Signs in regards to Joe's.
Mm-hmm.
Potential situation that'shappening right before it was
confirmed.
And I was like, the fact thatyou even have to say that yeah.
Is fucking nuts.
(39:50):
Like where are you gonna, Imean, like, I wouldn't, but it'd
be funny.
You'd be like, well, I'mavailable shape a coochie this
morning.
You know?
But I wouldn't.
But like it's pretty crazy thatthere are people out there in
the world that do that shit.
Oh yeah.
Carrie (40:04):
That's what I mean.
People are just.
So honed in on other people's,like misery.
Misery.
Yeah.
And it's just, it's a wildconcept for me.
Does it make you feel betterthat someone else is miserable?
Yeah, it's so sad and there's somany lives involved.
Just relax.
Just fuck it.
They'll, and that's what I mean.
They'll talk about it whenthey're ready to talk about it,
or they won't at all.
And you'll never know.
And you'll just go on with yourlife because it's their
Kristine (40:24):
personal life.
Because it doesn't fuckingaffect you.
No.
But.
Carrie (40:27):
Yeah, I get it.
Like they, you know, they're,they have celebrity status.
They made that decision to bepublic.
So like Totally.
You don't, it's hard.
You don't get to pick andchoose.
