Carrie (00:08):
Hey, it's Carrie and Christine, and we are best
friends.
Welcome to Two Babes Podcast.
We are the owners of Lavenderand Lace Boutique, an online
women's boutique based outtaSherwood Park, Alberta.
And we are here to just talk toyou.

Kristine (00:21):
So we're gonna start off with, uh, how we always
start off our podcasts.
If you listen before, you know,we always do the How's it going?
What, how was your weekend?
What'd you do?
What are you reading?
Gimme your life story.
Yeah.
Okay.
Why don't you jump in?
Oh, weekend was good.

Carrie (00:34):
Yeah.
We started, so we had a four dayweekend.
we were closed yesterday forCanada today.
And Christine and I don't workFriday.
So Thursday night started ourweekend, which was the Blink 180
2 concert.
Oh my God.
Yes.
I

Kristine (00:47):
over celebrated was Yeah, you did.

Carrie (00:49):
You did.
It was such a good show.
So and such a good night.
Our

Kristine (00:53):
seats were incredible.

Carrie (00:55):
We were like on stage.
On stage.
We were pretty much on stage.
Yeah.
I think our seats were likedirectly in line with the top of
the stage, so it felt like wewere there with them.
Yeah, yeah.
It was so cool.
And we were really close.
Yeah.
Time.
It was, it was so good.
Um, my husband is a huge Blink180 2 fan and has been since his

(01:15):
youth, and so he was so cutely

Kristine (01:17):
excited.
Uh, he was adorable.
Yeah.
I watched him, I think, morethan I watched.
I watched the guys on stage.
It was a lot of fun.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was a blast.
We had a lot of drinks and somegood food, and the music was
incredible.
The concert itself, they didsuch a good job.
Especially they're not old, butI mean, they're older.
Yeah.
And I feel like they're justkilling it up there.

(01:39):
They did.
They did.
It's shredding away.
I

Carrie (01:41):
do have feel like there is still some animosity in the
group.
Yeah.
And you could really feel it ifyou paid attention.
Yeah.
They did a really good jobdistracting you from it.
But if you reflected back on theconcert, you could definitely
feel that they're not all likebesties.
Yeah.

Kristine (01:58):
Anymore.
So we, Carrie and I saw themlive.
I, I think it was closer to 12years ago now.
and I felt.
I like I granted, yes, it was 12years ago, but I still felt like
there was a big difference.
Mm-hmm.
And it, maybe that was just me.
Maybe it was just me kind ofpicking at it.
Cuz I've been there before.
But I felt a little bit of adifference.

Carrie (02:19):
Yeah.
Just, they just didn't seem likethey interacted with Okay.
So Travis Barker never interactswith them.
He's always like in his ownlittle zone in the back.
And I mean, as drummers do.
Drummers do, yeah.
But I just felt like theyweren't as interactive with each
other on stage.
They interacted with theaudience.
Yes.
But not really with each other.
Yes.

Kristine (02:38):
Like separately, it's definitely like concerts is one
or the other.
They either like interact withthe audience or they don't.
Mm-hmm.
And I felt like this wasdefinitely more of an audience
directed wine aware.
Sometimes it could be like a lotof just interacting as a group.
Mm-hmm.
This time it was not, it's just,it was, so they commented on
Travis a lot.
Mm-hmm.
They're like, hit it Travis.
Or like, whatever.
Well that's cuz he's like, yeah,he's the guy.

(03:00):
The

Carrie (03:00):
guy right now he's the guy.
And.
Night and day.
Cuz we were at Nickelbackprobably five days earlier.
Yeah.
So night and day difference inthe way they, the atmosphere.
Yeah.
With each other.
Yeah.
Still an amazing con like stillOh yeah.
On the amazing concert they puton such a good show and we had
such a fun night.
It was so fun.
We spent, we didn't see

Kristine (03:19):
any of the openers.
No.
We just, we hung out at the bar.
Uh, we know one of thebartenders, we see him regularly
for like hockey games when we gocuz we have season tickets.
And so we saw him and just hungout with him the entire time.
The whole time.
And pretty much, you know what, like if he gets married, I swear
to God we're gonna be invited tothe wedding.

(03:40):
Like, you know.
Yeah.
I think it was just, yeah.
We just like hung out the wholetime.
Yeah.
We

Carrie (03:44):
were just like shooting the shit with each other.
We ran into people we knew.
Yeah.
Um, it was a lot of fun.
It was a lot of fun.
And then the show was justamazing.
10 outta 10.
Yeah.

Kristine (03:54):
Yeah.
They did a really good job.
It really did.
Yeah.
I like that.
Um, It was, it was Mark that waswearing the, uh, Oilers jersey.
Mm-hmm.
That was really cool.

Carrie (04:03):
And, um, how did you feel the next

Kristine (04:05):
day?
I was in poor, poor shape.
I, it was awful.
Like, I, I think it, um, itreally caught up with me because
we did knuckle back just a fewdays before, and then we had,
um, blank.
I think I drank too much, to behonest.
I was just, I was not in goodshape.
I slept, I, what else did I do?

(04:28):
Like

Carrie (04:28):
I was just dead.
You came into town, I think.
And then you went to, oh, I hada

Kristine (04:32):
massage.
Oh yeah.
Oh my God.
I had a massage.
Yes.
That poor lady, she's asking meabout like where, or like what I
needed help with, um, et cetera,et cetera.
Like, what should she focus on?
And I looked at her dead in theeyes and I'm like, I'm so
hungover that I don't care ifyou like massage me or don't,
but I'm just gonna have a nap onthe table.
And she was like, okay, get, youcan just get a dress now.

(04:56):
And I was like, woo.
Like the whole time.

Carrie (04:59):
So funny.
I was just, I was fine.
I was, I got up at seven 30,went for a walk.

Kristine (05:04):
Don't put your face in the face hole when you Yeah.
Can hung

Carrie (05:07):
over.
That was a, do you remember whenI went to that facial, that one
time hungover?
Yes.
And I was like gagging the wholetime.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I felt fine, but I had a hotdog.

Kristine (05:17):
Yeah.
Why did you not have a hot dog?
I had a, um, a pretzel.
Yeah.
But you love rotor's.
Hot dogs.
I do, but the pretzel looks sogood.
Mm-hmm.
And so I had one of those and Ithoroughly enjoyed it.
Carrie's sneezing.
I'm gonna cut this part out.
It's not, it's not coming.
Or I won't cut it out.
It's kinda

Carrie (05:34):
funny.
It didn't, it didn't

Kristine (05:35):
happen.
Um, yeah, I don't know why Ididn't, I don't know.
I went for the pretzel but itwas really good and yeah, so I
was feeling a little rough.
I was feeling rough until like Iwas just tired.

Carrie (05:45):
Yeah.
I was so tired this weekend.
So tired.
I did.
Yeah.
Dilly squat.
Like this is where we're gonnastop what we did this weekend,
cuz the whole rest of theweekend I did

Kristine (05:53):
nothing.
Dick

Carrie (05:54):
all Yeah.
Like nothing.
I went to the gym.
Yeah.
I went on my walks every day.
Don't you worry.
Yeah.
Good.
We're on day.
Uh,

Kristine (06:02):
hold up.
Uh, 37.
I'm just guessing.

Carrie (06:04):
I think you're right.
37 was yesterday.
Oh.
Today's gonna be 38.
Nice.
Yeah.
Thanks.
Um, and.
That, like, honestly,

Kristine (06:12):
that was it.
Yeah.
Same.
We didn't do much.
We went to a movie.
Mm-hmm.
Saw a Little Mermaid.
Super cute.
Um, what'd you think of thetheater?
I really liked it.
Yeah.
So Sherwood Park Theater got amakeover essentially.
Um, they, I actually really likewhat they did in the main area
too.
They took out the arcade and putit on the other side and put
birthday rooms.
Yeah.
That's where Brooke did her

Carrie (06:33):
birthday party.
I really liked it.
That she

POD00069 (06:34):
went

Kristine (06:34):
to.
Yep.
Yeah.
I thought that was well done.
Uh, we had a blast with Arcadeafter, as we do.
Mm-hmm.
And the movie theater, the seatswere great.
Yeah.

Carrie (06:42):
It was awesome.
They're not the same as the v ip, like the, um, landmark.
Yeah.
But they

Kristine (06:47):
still were great.
Yeah.
Awesome.
We still thoroughly enjoyed it.
The movie was great.
It was awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Carrie (06:54):
I, I honestly don't think I did anything.
Oh, we bought a dishwasher.
Yes.
Congratulations.
Ah, thank you.
You guys, the dishwasher repairguy came to my house last week
to fix our dishwasher and hesaid, oh, it's gonna be$1,100 to
fix your dishwasher.
And I said, no.
Like this dishwasher's fiveyears old.
Yeah.
I'm not spending$1,100 to fix itwhen I could buy a new one for

(07:17):
an extra like$300.
Yeah.
Not happening.
Not happening.
So we went on Saturday, pickedup our dishwasher, brought it
home.
My husband installed it, boughta boom, bought a bang.
Thank God he's handy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like he uninstalled whole one.
How

Kristine (07:32):
did he get the dishwasher in?
Cuz I know Jace was gonna gogive him a hand if he needed it.
Was he okay?
Uh, Dolly.
Oh my God.
I would've even thought to bringa dolly.
Yeah.

Carrie (07:40):
Nick Haslin in their garage.
I guess.
Wow.
Yeah.
Good for him.
Must be in our shed.
But yeah, we have a dolly whoknew not me.
Wow.
No.
Well that's good.
So we dolled the old one out anddolled the new one in.

Kristine (07:52):
Jason's ready to go prepared, you know, lift up this
thing and be a big man about it.
Yeah.
But he's like, oh, I guess Nickdoesn't need me.
No.
Got Dolly instead, he had tolike lift it up the stairs.
I

Carrie (08:02):
can just imagine with the dolly, but yeah, no, he did
it all himself.
Wow.
Yeah.
But let me tell you, uh,plumbers get all my kudos
because I could not be one whenhe, this is like, it wasn't even
a big deal.
He was draining all the waterout of the like, and it was, he
was draining it into a bowl.
And I'm like, well that bowl'sdone now.
Yeah.
It's garbage.
Like we, we all puke in it whenwe're sick, but like, I can't

(08:24):
handle the dirty dishwater.

Kristine (08:26):
I love that everybody has their designated puke bowl.
Oh yeah.
Like it, uh, like I remember theone from when I was younger.
It's a red plastic one.
Ours is red plastic.
And that's classic puke bowl.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Classic.
Ours is orange and white.
Nice.
Yeah.
So if you ever come over andyou're like making a salad or
something Yeah.
And you're like, oh, this bowllooks nice.
Maybe.
Maybe steer away.

(08:47):
I mean, I watch it.

Carrie (08:48):
I feel like everyone uses their pke bowl as like the
popcorn bowl though, what

Kristine (08:52):
people do in their house.
So what color is your puke bowl?
Everybody like, I want to know.
Yeah.
We need to look like, what is

Carrie (09:00):
your house pupil?
Um, my daughter actually wassick on Saturday.
Did what?
I think it was from the heat.
Oh no.
Because on Friday she wasoutside all day.
She was like, mom, I just don'tfeel good.
Oh, no.
One.
And done.
And then she was fine.
Poor babe.
So I think it was heat.
Yeah.
Like.
It was, she didn't have a feveror anything, but I think she
just got way too much heat onFriday.
Had a visit, visit with, remember like when Scarlet was

(09:21):
in Maui and she got like alittle bit of heat stroke, you
know?
That was bad.
Yeah.
But Berg didn't have like afever or anything.
She just, it was done

Kristine (09:28):
one and done.
Well, I'm

Carrie (09:29):
glad it was quick.
So the Red Bowl was hanging outin her room just in case.

Kristine (09:34):
I love puke bowls.
That's so great.
Hi everybody.

Carrie (09:37):
Everybody's got'em.
Gosh, I hope no one here hasthat phobia of puke.
I'm so sorry.
I know.
I'm so sorry.
If you do, we'll put

Kristine (09:45):
a little trigger, trigger warning rewarding at the

Carrie (09:46):
beginning.
Um, yeah.
And then honest to God, I didnothing mm-hmm.
Of value.
I did all my laundry, I changedmy bedding, I did my towels, I
did my normal stuff.
But otherwise, nothing thisweekend.

Kristine (09:58):
That's good.
That's good.
That's good.
Yeah.
Used our dishwasher.
Yes.
How was that?
It was so good.
Yeah.
Did you open it?
It was like, haha.
Yeah.

Carrie (10:05):
Seriously.
I sent you a picture of meunloading it.
I know it's true.
Like that was funny.
I just can't, I hand washingdishes is not for me.
This is my first world complainthere.
No, I'll do, I would do anythingover that.
I think,

Kristine (10:20):
what is that song?
Do

Carrie (10:25):
anything for love.
Won't, won't do that.

Kristine (10:32):
I like when we have singing segments.
That's,

Carrie (10:36):
oh damn.
I was hoping for applause.
Nope.

Kristine (10:40):
Nope.
No.
Yeah.
You're welcome everybody.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Ugh.

Carrie (10:47):
You're too kind.

Kristine (10:50):
Oh, classic.
Christine and Carrie.
I love that.
Are you, uh, reading anythingright

Carrie (10:55):
now?
Okay.
I'm not actually reading a book.
I know.
I was like, I am reading a book,but I haven't read any more
pages than the first twochapters.
I was reading the right move.
I just, I've been tired, take abreak and I just haven't wanted
to.
I read a little bit of it theother night, um, but mostly
I've.
Watching tv, which is so unusualfor me.

(11:17):
Or like, when I'm in bed, I justgo to sleep.
Yeah, that's fair enough.
But I am listening to anaudiobook.
And what do you I'm listening toTo the Inmate by Frieda
McFadden.
Yeah.

Kristine (11:25):
Oh, it

Carrie (11:25):
is so good.
Yeah.
When I walked by your houseyesterday, you waved at me, but
I was like in my

Kristine (11:30):
book.
Yeah.
You kind of like looked up andover and then I was like waving
like a crazy person.
Were you at your kitchen table?

Carrie (11:36):
Yeah.
Was Jay sitting there too?
Yeah, I think I saw Jace's head.

Kristine (11:39):
Yeah.
Well, uh, we were looking atsomething, so maybe I was kind
of bent over a little bit.
Mm-hmm.
Maybe you didn't see me.
But then I stood up and I waslike waving like two arms.
Yeah.
Like a fool.
Yeah.
And then you just kind of lookedup and over and I was like, oh,
she's must be in it to win itright now.
Yeah.
I,

Carrie (11:52):
it was my book.
Oh yeah.
So it's about this girl and whenshe, you know, I don't wanna get
too deep into it, but she getsa, she's a nurse, she gets a job
at a prison.
Men's prison and she's a nursethere and her first boyfriend.
Is one of the prisoners.

(12:13):
Oof.
And she was there when hecommitted the crime.
Oh.
So it Frida McFadden, a lot ofher books go present past,
present, past.
And this is another one.
So it's present and then it goesback to 11 years earlier when
the, the night of the crime.
Yeah.
And yeah.

(12:33):
Cool.
Yeah.
I love that.
I can't give too much awaybecause it really just, it'll
give, you know, too much away.
Yeah.
I just think you need to readit.
It's really good.
If you like a thriller.
It's so good.
I listened to it when I'm out onmy walks and when I got home
yesterday from my walk, I waslistening to it while I was
getting ready.
I'm like, this is cheating.

(12:54):
Because if you don't know, Isave my audio books for when I'm
walking to try to give me thatlike extra push to go out for a
walk on the days I don't wantto.
Right.
And so good.
It's really, really good.
So I'll be done it soon.
I'm, I think I only have liketwo and a half hours left.
Oh, nice.

Kristine (13:10):
I listen to them at 1.2 speed.
You and Jace both do that.
It's so slow.
Otherwise, I like slow andmethodical.
Nah, I

Carrie (13:18):
could never, I like to listen to it as fast as I read
and I'm a fast reader.
Yeah.
So I guess that

Kristine (13:23):
it's fair enough.
I don't give it to you.
It's

Carrie (13:25):
not like when he listens to our podcast fast and we're
like,

Kristine (13:27):
yeah, he, my, hey.
Sorry.
I'm Christine.
He listens to it with like, what, how many speeds?
One and a half.
Times half.
I think that's a lot.
So fast.

Carrie (13:35):
We already talk fast.
Yeah.
Unnecessarily

Kristine (13:38):
fast.
And he kills the episode in like30 minutes.
Mm-hmm.
So like, I get why he does it,but I, I can't even listen to
ourselves.
Sound like that.
No.
I got into the truck and he waslistening to it and I was like,
Uhuh,

Carrie (13:48):
no.
Uhuh.
I don't

POD00069 (13:50):
enjoy

Kristine (13:50):
it at all.
No.
Like it's really hard to listento your own voice to begin with,
but to sound like chipmunks,it's a no for me.
Yeah.
No.
Nice.
Yeah.
Okay.
Um, so right now, okay, well Ikind of told you what I did over
the weekend.
Literally nothing.
I went to a movie, that's aboutit.
Mm-hmm.
As far as I went, um, I'm notreading anything.
I finished the Tawny Weber goingdown hard book.

(14:14):
Yeah.
On the, yeah.
That was really cute.
Yeah, it was good.
It's, I prefer spicier.
It was fine.
Yeah.
Like it had some dirt in it,which I enjoyed.
Yeah.
But they, but said, said thingsmuch.
Yeah.
They said things like, reallyawkwardly.
Oh.
Like, I'm gonna say one, it'sthe one that gives me the gbs.
Oh.

Carrie (14:31):
I don't want it what you tell me.
Okay.

Kristine (14:33):
They said like, moist curls.

Carrie (14:36):
Oh no.
And I was

Kristine (14:39):
like, uh, Uhuh, stop.
Hard pass.
Don't, don't say that to me.
Hard pass.
It was, It was icky, but thebook, the story itself was
really good.
It was cute.
Yeah, it was an easy read.
I en I enjoyed it.
Yep.
It's a free book from thecommunity, little library thing,
so whatever.
It's good.
But otherwise we've been, um,Jason and I have been watching
uh, home Improvement.

Carrie (14:59):
Yeah, I saw that.
That was on the old Disney.
Yeah.

Kristine (15:01):
So we've been really enjoying that.
Scarlet loves it.
She thinks it's great.
Um, so we've been, we've, that'sbeen on a lot this weekend, but
otherwise I did nothing.
I'm not reading nothing.
Barely looking at nothing.
I know.
Like I was

Carrie (15:15):
just a corpse.
Me too.
I was so tired.
And I said to Nick, I'm like, issomething wrong with me?
Or is this just the aftereffects of two concerts in a
week?
Yeah.
I think I'm just that old now.

Kristine (15:23):
I think so.
I think so.
Oh, it took a really long timeto recover.
But I think I'm on the up now.
Um, I'm ready to see what thisweek has got going on for us.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So we're gonna dive into ourepisode now.
So this episode is somethingthat we've never done before.

Carrie (15:39):
Yeah.
We're gonna call it the best e qand A.

Kristine (15:41):
It's gonna be something that we didn't even
predetermine.
Mm-hmm.
Usually we have a good idea ofwhat sort of answer or questions
we're gonna be answering.
Yeah.
Et cetera, et cetera.
But this time we have noflipping.
Clue?
Nope.

Carrie (15:55):
I didn't talk about when I trapped myself under my bed.

Kristine (15:57):
Oh yes.
Okay.
Carrie has a story for you guysand it's so fricking

Carrie (16:00):
funny.
Christine was crying when I wastalking yesterday.
It was hilarious.
Okay, so Saturday night, I haveto preface this by saying that
50% of the time my husbandsleeps in the basement because
he snores and I do not get agood sleep when he snores.
I'm a very light sleeper, and solike a year and a half ago he
was sick and snoring and Ikicked him down to the basement

(16:21):
as I do, and I was like, wow, Ihad the best sleep.
He's like, me too.
So like half the time, usuallyduring the week he'll sleep
downstairs and so, but Saturdaynight I was so bagged still from
the concert and I'm like, youhave to sleep downstairs
tonight.
He's like, okay.
So he was sleeping downstairs.
It was just me and my bed.
I was watching Vampire Diariesand I dropped my TV remote.

(16:45):
Oh my God.
Behind my bed.
Okay, so here's the thing.
My bed, you cannot get under it.
The, the sideboards go all theway down to the ground.
The only way to get behind mybed is to literally take the
mattress off.
So I was like, oh God, like, Ihave to get it.
So I pull the mattress off thebed a little bit, get onto the

(17:06):
box spring, and I'm reaching myarm down behind my headboard,
and my arm gets stuck all whileNick is sleeping.
Nick's sleeping, Brook'ssleeping.
Like it's just me.
It's nine like Nick's alreadysleeping, like for sure.
And so I'm stuck and when I sayI'm stuck, I mean like I'm
stuck.
My arm a I'm, I'm down above myelbow.

(17:30):
Behind my bed and my hand isjust dangling there and I can
knock, get my arm out and Istart to panic and like, like I
start feeling claustrophobicbecause I'm kind of like, I'm
kind of like hunched overbecause my arm's so far down and
I can't get it out and I don'tknow what to do.
The headboard doesn't have a lotof give to it.
Yeah.
Like when I'm pushing on it, tryto make a bigger gap, and I'm on

(17:53):
the box spring so I can't slideit, and I'm like, what do I do?
And I'm starting to be like, doI think Nick, Nick sleeps like
the dead?
So he wouldn't hear me even if Iwas like, Throwing the wall.
No, he wouldn't hear me if I waslike, cuz his, where he was
sleeping was right below me.
He wouldn't have heard me.
There's no chance Brooke mighthave heard me.
Mm-hmm.
Maybe.

(18:14):
But my, I was consideringcalling Christine to come and
save me, like single friends.
But you guys, I was trapped.
I was stuck.
And eventually I calmed myselfdown.
Like I, I was like, Hey Carrie, this is gonna be, this is gonna
be okay.
Yeah, you're gonna be fine.
So I like, I kind of pushed onmy headboard as much as I could,
which isn't much because it'spretty close to the wall.

(18:37):
And I like slowly like, twistedmy arm.
I have bruises.

Kristine (18:41):
Yeah, she took like a layer of skin off.
Like it, she had like the skinripped marks on

Carrie (18:46):
her.
Yeah.
I had, I ripped skin off oneside of my elbow and I have
bruises up and down the otherside of my elbow.
I

Kristine (18:51):
can just picture you like stuck and you're like, what
the fuck do I do?

Carrie (18:58):
And I, I was like, oh my God, if I call Christine, she's
gonna come, she's gonna takepictures first and foremost
before she even like helps me.
So I did end up getting theremote, but I did have to take
my mattress completely off mybed and lift my box spring to
get it out.
But I was determined at thatpoint, but my arm hurt

Kristine (19:15):
all day.
Was your TV on already?
Yeah.
So like, so not, you couldn'teven just let it go.
Like if you wanted to go tosleep, you'd have to continue to
watch your show forever.
Yeah.
So you had to go get it And Icouldn't control the volume.
Oh my.
See, that's the worst

POD00069 (19:29):
part

Carrie (19:29):
for me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So like I, I could have used myphone to like shut it off, I
guess.
Shut it off, but not the volume.

Kristine (19:35):
But I couldn't Nope.
But you wanna keep watching yourshow?
I did.
So, like, I get thedetermination.
Yeah.

Carrie (19:43):
Well I just thought it was gonna be an easy, like
snatch and grab here

Kristine (19:47):
snatching crap.
It wasn't,

Carrie (19:49):
there was nothing easy about that.
I bruise my arm.

Kristine (19:52):
How long, like how long did this happen?
How long was I trapped?
Yeah, like from dropping tobeing finally free and

Carrie (19:59):
getting it, oh, probably like five minutes.
If not more, but I was trapped.
I bet you for a full minute orit felt like a hundred years.
Yeah.
Cause I was likehyperventilating cuz I felt, I
felt

Kristine (20:10):
trapped.
Trapped.
There's nothing worse than

Carrie (20:12):
feeling like trapped.
No.
And I was like, the biggestthing for me was at least I had
my phone in my hand because Iwas using in the flashlight as a
light.
Yeah.
But my biggest thing was like,am I gonna have to call 9 1 1?

Kristine (20:24):
God, that would be funny

Carrie (20:25):
because like, How long do you stay trapped there for?
Yeah, it was hurting my arm.

Kristine (20:30):
This has nothing to do with that, but it just reminded
me of it.
Um, you know, on the sweetestthing mm-hmm.
When they have to call the firedepartment and mm-hmm.
And paramedics.
Mm-hmm.
If you don't know, uh, if youdon't know a movie, you need to
see the movie.
It's one of our absolutefavorites.
But, uh, guy had a piercing andthen a girl, you know, she went
south and, uh, she, the piercinggot stuck, got stuck on her

(20:52):
tonsils, and then they had tocall the paramedics and the fire
department police were there.
That would be

Carrie (20:58):
me, but with my arm behind my bed.
Yeah.

Kristine (21:01):
Fuck.
That would be funny.
But you're right, I would takepictures.
You would've,

Carrie (21:04):
absolutely, you would, you would've made a

Kristine (21:05):
story about it.
Absolutely.
A hundred percent.
10 outta 10.
Oh yeah.
So that funny was

Carrie (21:10):
my, uh, that was my Saturday.
Your Saturday Adventure UhhuhAnd my arm still, it feels
better today, but yesterday itdefinitely hurts.
Well, yeah, cuz you

Kristine (21:18):
probably like squeezed that muscle for so long.
Oh yeah.
And it was so bruised and, andthen scraped it.
Yeah.
Good gravy.
Yeah.
A nightmare.

Carrie (21:25):
Okay, so back to the bestie q and a.
Yes.
So we're just gonna ask eachother questions.
Yeah,

Kristine (21:30):
it's gonna be fine.
We don't know what the questionsare, we're just diving in.
Yep.
Okay.
Carrie, why don't you, uh, arewe, so are you asking me the
question and then we'll bothanswer it, like, I'll answer it
first and then you give yourSure.
Okay.
Okay,

Carrie (21:42):
go for it.
What's the cringing ist thingyou've ever put up on social
media, Kate?

Kristine (21:47):
I have literal every single day.
I basically on Facebook, youknow, it gives you those
memories.
I do.
That's why I asked.
Um, I am so embarrassed of 2010,Christine, uh, and every other
day, Christine.
It was just really embarrassing.
Um, I, I don't know if it's,they're just all mortifying, but

(22:11):
this one comes to mind.
It's where I wrote.
Carrie is a serious number two.
Oh.
Oh.
That's exactly's what I wasthinking.

POD00069 (22:18):
I

Carrie (22:18):
was hoping that's what you were gonna

Kristine (22:20):
say.
So Carrie is a serious numbertwo.
So Carrie is a poop and I don'tknow why, um, there, or the ones
that are just like reallyembarrassing, like lovey-dovey,
like, oh my god, two more hoursand I get to see Jay.
Yes.
I'm glad you're excited.
Past Christine was very happyand very excited, but right now

(22:40):
just the way I wrote it andstuff was very cring, cringy,
cringy.
Christine just stop like

Carrie (22:45):
oversharing.
Oh, way oversharing.
And it's the embarrassing onesfor me that I'm just like
mortified

Kristine (22:51):
about.
What about for yourself?
Do you have anythingembarrassing on, Hey, I

Carrie (22:53):
don't know if I have one off the top of my head, but, um.
I am scrolling through myFacebook to see if I can find
one.
I just, mine are back from like2000 and like nine, you know?
Yeah.
Where you, and to be clear, Idon't use my Facebook at all

(23:14):
anymore.
I just use it for business.
So my Facebook is pretty boring, but a lot of, a lot of
lovey-dovey, a lot of likeleading up to our wedding and
like, oh, marrying the man of mydreams, blah, blah,

Kristine (23:26):
blah, blah, blah.
Like, like, oh, I'm marrying mybest friend.
No you're not.
You married Nick, you didn'tmarry me.

Carrie (23:32):
You know, welcome.
Just a lot of reallyembarrassing stuff that when
they pop up you're like, wow.
This is why I don't post on myFacebook anymore.
Cuz I'm mortified at past

Kristine (23:42):
self.
I don't use my personal Facebookat all.
Me either.
I'm just scrolling through rightnow and like so many people wish
me happy birthday.
I'm so sorry if you guys arelistening.
I didn't reply back.
Very rude of me, but I don't useit.

Carrie (23:54):
I don't use mine at all.
I just seriously use it forbusiness.

Kristine (23:58):
How do you look for memories?
Do you just have to scroll?

Carrie (24:00):
That's what I'm doing right now.
I don't know if you can likelook for memories.
I wish I had more likescreenshotted.
Yeah, but I did definitely havesome.
Absolutely.
Oh, this was a good one though.
I said three months ago I madethe decision to quit my job and
start something new and I couldhonestly say I've never been
happier.
If you don't like something inyour life, change it.

(24:21):
Oh, that's a good one.
That was, that was very

Kristine (24:23):
motivational.
See, I didn't have those.
I had Carrie as a serious numbertwo.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh well.
Okay.
I'm ready.
I will ask you a question.
Okay.
I'm just gonna pick one.
Right here.

(24:45):
Oh no, that's a shitty question.
Um, what's the worst holiday, inyour opinion?

Carrie (24:50):
Like, the worst holiday I've been on.

Kristine (24:52):
What's the worst

Carrie (24:53):
holiday?
So maybe Oh, like holiday of theyear, you mean?
Yeah.
Like, oh, I understand what youholiday.
Not vacation, but holiday.

Kristine (24:59):
But that's also a good

Carrie (25:00):
question.
Um, okay.
So I'm not, people are gonnahate me.
I'm not like a huge holidayperson.
I don't know, like Thanksgiving.

Kristine (25:10):
Yeah.
I'm just there for the food.

Carrie (25:12):
Yeah.
Like it has good food.
It's okay.

Kristine (25:15):
Yeah.
What about you?
Um, I don't know even know ifthis is a holiday, but
Valentine's Day is prettycringy.
Yeah.
I'm not a opinion either, youknow, like, it's cute.
I like the pink and I like thered.
I like that.
Yeah.
But I'm just, I'm not very likea.
Lovey-Dovey person.
Me either, you know, is all thehearts and the fufu Lala.
Like, I'm not into that.

Carrie (25:35):
I'm not fu Lala at all.
I'm not at all.
And neither is Nick,

Kristine (25:39):
obviously.
No.
Yeah.
Neither is

Carrie (25:41):
Jace.
Yeah, no, I'm just like, bigfeelings really make me feel
awkward as you know.
Yeah.
So like, yeah, I, I don't dowell with big feelings.
I'm with

Kristine (25:52):
you on that.
It just, yeah.
I'd rather not they,

Carrie (25:54):
and like when it happens on TV sometimes I'm like, oh, I
can't, oh my God, that's,

Kristine (25:58):
yeah.
I can't cringy.
Okay, your question.
You're up baby.

Carrie (26:02):
When have you felt the most proud?

Kristine (26:04):
When have I felt the most proud?
Um, well, recently, a recentthing that happened when Scarlet
did her gymnastics competition.
That was like the coolest thingI've ever seen because.
My daughter's very shy and she,you know, she's, she th she
overthinks a lot.
Um, but to see her out there andlike, actually mm-hmm.

(26:26):
Like, do what she's really goodat Yeah.
And do such a good job.
And, and it proved that she cando these things and Yeah.
And it proved to herself.
She got, like, she got secondacross the board.
Mm-hmm.
So she came in with five medals.
That was the coolest.
I had a really big sense ofpride there.
Um, and then I, with ourcompany, with our business,
yeah.

(26:46):
So that for parenting and withmy daughter, yeah.
And then here with our businessand, um, yeah, I would say that.
I like that answer.
What about yourself?
Uh,

Carrie (26:58):
felt the most proud, I guess?
I mean, I've had.
A lot.
Yeah.
In the last while where I'vedefinitely felt proud because of
everything we've accomplished,but I definitely would say
moving into this warehousemm-hmm.
Was one of my biggest moments ofpride.
Our old warehouse was great andit was, it was definitely

(27:21):
something I was so proud of.
But this warehouse is like, it'slike big leagues, you know?
It is big leagues.
It's like a 23,000 square footwarehouse.
And we moved in here and likewe, we were just at this such a
cool place in our business thatI was so proud that we, we did
that.

(27:41):
Yeah.
You know, we started it fromjust like nothing.
Mm-hmm.
And we moved into here.
So specifically this.
Mm-hmm.
This warehouse was my, Mostproud moments and like, you
know, when you and I were hereand I was laying on the ground
like Rose.

Kristine (27:57):
Yeah.
That fuck, that was funny.
So, okay, let's tell that story.
Okay.
Sorry.
You tell it.
So, okay.
So I was in one of the roomspainting, um, and um, my heart
will Go on, came on, right?
Mm-hmm.
Um, came on.
We had like a speaker going.

Carrie (28:11):
It was just Christine and I here, by

Kristine (28:12):
the way.
Yes.
Preface that.
Yeah.
So, so I was in one roompainting and Carrie was in there
with me and then she left andthen she must have been starting
painting somewhere else,whatever.
But that song came on and I leftthe room to go to go paint
something else and go see whatCarrie was doing.
Well what I came out of the roomto was Carrie, I think she was,

(28:36):
I think you were naked.
I think so too, on the floorwith her head up on her head and
her other hand on her waist, like, As Rose was po uh, posed
when Jack was painting her andshe's like, paint me like a
French girl's jack.

(28:56):
And we're both like crying, laughing, like, I mean like she
was butt naked or at least herjob was something.
Was she,

Carrie (29:07):
I think I still had pants on and I can't remember
to, to be honest, but definitelytopless

Kristine (29:11):
and it was, I like, I dropped my, I think there's
still a mark of paint on thefloor, to be honest, cuz I
dropped my paint roller.
And was like just belt, uh, bentover crying.
Like my stomach hurt for days.
Like I did ab workout, like itwas best moment of my whole life
right there.
Honestly, getting this, that'swhat I'm most proud of.

Carrie (29:34):
Me too.
Um, getting this warehouseready, like when it was empty
and it was just you and I andthe boys working on it.
Yeah.
It's probably some of myfavorite memories of my life
because we had so much fun.
As much as it sucked, we justhad like, so much fun.
I also

Kristine (29:50):
really enjoyed how much Mr.
Sub we ate.
Oh.
So much Mr.
Sub.
Like I, when now when we haveMr.
Sub, I get like a sense memory.
Like I get really excited aboutit.
Yeah.
And I feel like we're doing theWarehouse thing over and again.
Yeah.
It's one of my faves.
Yeah.
Oh fuck.
That was one of my favoritestories.
I'm so glad we talked about it.
Right.
Okay.
Question for you, Carrie.
Mm-hmm.
Which celebrity would you wantas your other best friend and

(30:14):
why?
Oh, your other best friend.
So we're now making this duointo a trio, Sophia Bush.
Nice.

Carrie (30:22):
Love her.
I, I didn't even have to thinkabout that.
No, I can.
Uh, yeah, I would do that.
Yeah.
I freaking love her.
I think she is just so cool.
She's so cool.
And I, for anyone who haswatched One Tree Hill, Bush
played Brooke and I have adaughter named Brooke, and that
is no coincidence.
I definitely named my daughterafter Brooke from One Tree Hill.

(30:42):
I just think she's just such

Kristine (30:43):
a badass.
She's so strong and smart andlike beautiful.
Gorgeous.
Yeah.
Oh mean she'd make, I wouldreally have to pick

Carrie (30:51):
it up.
Wow.
Yeah.
We'd really have to step up ourgame.
Hey.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We would really would.
Yeah.
Like her outfits are always onfreaking point to

Kristine (30:59):
every single time, every time.
I wonder what our conversationswould be like.
Like I have, uh, I have a lot ofquestions for her.
Well, I don't

Carrie (31:05):
think I could lay on the ground naked who's gonna paint
me?

Kristine (31:08):
She might think it's funny.
I don't know.

Carrie (31:11):
I hope everyone else thinks that's funny.
Um, and I'm like, wow.
That's the weirdest thing I'veever heard friends do in my
life.
Who would you pick?

Kristine (31:17):
Well, comedy wise, I'd probably go Jennifer Lawrence.
Yeah.
I feel like she'd bring a lot tothe table for us.
She would.
She would.
Yeah.
I think she'd be hilarious.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's who I would be.
I like that.
I think she'd blend in well withus.
She would.

Carrie (31:31):
Yeah, she would.
I'm like Sophia Bush.
She was just way

Kristine (31:35):
too cool for us.
Yeah.
But you know what, that's fine.
Yeah.
We'll humble her.

Carrie (31:40):
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Okay.
love that.
Do you believe in having onebest friend or multiple?

Kristine (31:48):
That's, oh, we're just kidding.
It's not.
Um, I believe in Ha.
Okay.
Well, I believe that I have onebest friend, but I have other.
Best friends I like, you knowwhat I mean?
Like, I have friends that I'veknown since kindergarten who are
like my very best friends thatI've had for so long.

(32:08):
Yeah.
That they're my lifelongfriends.
Yeah.
But I believe firmly that I onlyhave one best friend.
Yeah.
And uh, if I say, like, if Italk about other people, I don't
say these are, this is my bestfriend, Joe, Karen and Sally.
Sally.
Yeah.
I don't say that.
Yeah.
I say This is my best friendCarrie.
Yeah.
Carrie's the only one, Carrie.

(32:29):
But you know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like I, I think that you canhave a best friend and other
best friends, but there's onlyone best friend.
Yeah.
She knows that.
I know that.
You don't know that we know.
That's what it sounded like.
Yeah.
Agree.
Does that make any

Carrie (32:41):
sense?
No, I agree wholeheartedly.
Okay.
You can have like really goodfriends.
Yeah.
Best friends even.
Yeah.
But there is like the bestfriend friend.
Best friend.
Best friend.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You can only have the one, Imean, I'm sure other people have
multiple maybe, but.
And there's things that like wetalk about or we like, are
comfortable in front of eachother that like Yeah.

(33:03):
Y it's just you.
Yeah.
Like some of the things we talkabout, like

Kristine (33:07):
it's just you.
I know like we, we we're tryingto come up with our, uh,
Instagram story thing or realthing that we were doing.
Mm-hmm.
And we couldn come up withthings because we can't spill
those beans.
No.

Carrie (33:19):
So it's tough.
It's, but it's just you.

Kristine (33:21):
Yeah.
You know?
So I'm glad we're on the samepage.

Carrie (33:24):
Yeah.
Like I can't be rose for justanyone.
No, I know.

Kristine (33:27):
I wouldn't want

Carrie (33:28):
you to be rose for anybody else.
No, no.
But now everyone knows thatstory.

Kristine (33:32):
Yeah.
It's, I'm glad though becauseI've, it's a quality story.
It is quality.
That was a quality time.
Yeah.
I agree.
That was a good question.
Thank you.
Okay.
Um, what are the top three waysyou deal with stress?

Carrie (33:44):
Top three ways I deal with stress.
Okay.
I'll say two of them.
And I'll leave the third to yourimagination.
Okay.
Um, one baths.
Yeah.
My like going and laying in abath and just like, chilling.
Number one.
Number two, going for a walk.
Yeah.
Those like have changed my game.
Yep.
Going for a walk is hands downmy favorite part of my day cuz

(34:09):
it's just an hour to myselfwhere I'm listening to my book
and chilling.
And number three is, uh,

Kristine (34:21):
Good for you.

Carrie (34:22):
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
What about you?

Kristine (34:24):
Okay,

Carrie (34:29):
good.
Uh, okay.
So Carrie was

Kristine (34:32):
exactly the answer to this.
Yeah.
So mine are mix of carrie's oneand three, I like to have my
showers.
Yeah.
So that's, that's one and two.
That's one.
And yeah.
Uh, two running.
Yeah.
Uh, and uh, Three.
That's tough.
Um, cuz those are the big thingsthat I do.

(34:55):
Um, am I missing one?
I don't know.
Cry.
Yeah.

Carrie (34:59):
I mean sometimes.
Good one.
Um,

Kristine (35:01):
wine.
Yeah.
Like, like whining or wine?
Wine.
Like drink.
Yeah.
Or I didn't know if you weresaying that.
I would whine that too, butlike, that's ok.
Uh, yeah.
No, I do have a few drinks whenI get stressed out.
Yeah.
And I also like to talk it outor yell it out.
Yeah.
Yeah.

(35:21):
For the most part.
Yeah.
But one and two.
Yeah.
Yeah.
One, two or the big ones.
Wow.
So, so took a turn.
Yeah.
Getting a little personnel.
Yeah.

Carrie (35:33):
What do you think is the most annoying quality a person
can have?

Kristine (35:37):
Annoying quality a person could have.
Mm-hmm.
That's hard.
Oh yeah.
I don't really know what I getannoyed of.
I don't know what, gimme anexample.

Carrie (35:49):
Okay.
I can give mine.
Sure.
Um, like extreme arrogance isone quality that I just can't, I
just can't.
Okay.
Like, yeah.
Five minutes into meetingsomeone if you're extremely
arrogant.
I have a very hard time.
Yeah.
And then I'm just annoyed.
Yeah.
And like annoyed to the pointwhere I just can't.
Yeah.
And there's a difference betweenlike confidence and arrogance.

(36:09):
Yeah, I agree.
Like I'm talking like arrogantarrogance.
And we were talking aboutsomeone that, you know, that's
very arrogant, not that longago.
So it's annoying.

Kristine (36:19):
It is annoying.
I'm trying to like think backwho we were talking about.
Um, okay.
Now that you said that, I findjust like, just plain rude.
It is just like ignoring people.
If there's a group of people andthen they just kind of look over
somebody, I find that just likeso, so rude.

(36:39):
Like, don't, don't talk down topeople.
Down to people or over people.

Carrie (36:44):
Yeah.

Kristine (36:45):
Don't pour over me.
Don't do that.
Don't ignore one person No, Idon't like that.
I just, that, that really irksme.
Yeah.
I think that's one, one of the,yeah.
Major things for myself.
That was a hard question.
It is hard.
I always try to find like the,the good and try to get around
and find something positiveabout a person.
Mm-hmm.
But I feel like that's my mostnegative one.

(37:05):
I don't have that skill,

Carrie (37:05):
so that's good.
As soon as you annoy me inwhichever way that I'm annoyed.
Yeah.
I have a very hard time comingback.

Kristine (37:13):
Yeah.
That's fair.
Um, okay.
Who's been your favoriteteacher?

Carrie (37:22):
Who was my favorite teacher?
Her name was Mrs.
Bears Nikki.
Yeah.
She was fantastic.
She was such a good teacher.
I had her twice grade three andgrade six.

Kristine (37:29):
I don't think I've ever actually had her as a
teacher.
Oh yeah.
But she's somebody who Iconfided in a lot.
Um, she taught my sister.
Yes, both of them actually.
Yeah.
Grade six for Amanda.
Yeah.
And I think Jennifer had her forgrade three if I, um, am
correct.
But, um, one of my favoriteteachers was Ms.
Shelley.
Oh yeah, she was really good.

(37:49):
Um, she really understood me.
Could, could really, you know,yeah.
Help me out and guide me and Ms.
Mooney.
She was Oh yeah, she was goodtoo.
A big help.
Yeah,

Carrie (38:01):
she was good.
Yeah.
I feel like I, elementary, junior high teachers were
definitely bigger influences onme than high school teachers.
High school was just a very

Kristine (38:11):
high school was, um, yeah, there's one teacher, Mr.
Nesbitt, you know, I had a goodhandful of teachers like that
really understood me.
It shaped you who you were?
Yeah.
Mr.
Nesbitt pushed me a lot more inhigh school.
He's like, I know you're, he islike, you're playing dumb.
Don't do that.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Keep going.
Mm-hmm.
He, he did.
He was a really, really goodteacher.
What he's up to.

(38:32):
Hope he's still teaching.
Yeah.
Okay.
You

Carrie (38:36):
got one.
We know Mrs.
Bes Nikki's still teaching cuzshe shopped with us.
Yeah, we love

Kristine (38:40):
her.

Carrie (38:40):
She's so good.
So good.
Um.
Okay.
What are the qualities thatattract you most in a love
interest?

Kristine (38:51):
Oh, that's a good question.
That is good.
Hey.
Yeah.
Um, humor for one.
Yeah.
It's a big one for me.
Yeah.
Uh, smarts.
Yeah.
uh, like to be active is a bigone for me also.
Mm-hmm.
Those are good.
Those are good.
Three.
Yeah.
And a nice butt.

POD00069 (39:12):
Yes.

Carrie (39:12):
Yes.
So I've heard

Kristine (39:16):
I love a good butt.
Yeah, you do.
I do.
I love up good.
But that's like if I'm checkingout a guy that's, that's your
thing.
Hey, that's, I will always go tothe butt first.
Arms and butt.

Carrie (39:25):
Arms are my and back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But they'd have to have theirshirt off for you to really get
a good the back.
So,

Kristine (39:34):
yeah.
Okay.
What about

Carrie (39:35):
yourself?
What are your top, um,intelligence?
Yeah, because.
I just could not without that.
Yeah.
Um, self-assurance, like I likesomeone who's self-assured with
themselves and self-assured ingeneral.
Um, and then drive.
Yeah.
So like someone who's verydriven, whether it like be
career driven or just likedriven in life.
Yeah.
Those are three things that likeare non-negotiables for me.

(39:58):
Yep.
When finding a partner.
Nice.
And they were when I Yeah.
Good.
You know, I Very good danceranswer.

Kristine (40:05):
I just described my husband, so, and I described
Jace.
Yeah, you did.
So, yeah.
Especially his butt.
Yeah.

Carrie (40:10):
It's a great butt.
I mean, you're not wrong.

Kristine (40:13):
Its a great butt when you said intelligence, he'll
like, oh, there's Nick.
It's

Carrie (40:19):
important to me.
It is.
It's very important.
Yeah.
And like, you know, everyone hastheir thing.
It's not important to everyone, but like being able to have an
intelligent conversation withsomeone Yeah.
Is important to me.
You wouldn't know from ourpodcast conversations, but it is
something that I do like, I dothink it's important.

Kristine (40:36):
Good question.
Very good question.
Thank you.
Okay.
Um, do you believe in monogamy?
Good questioning.

Carrie (40:45):
But do I believe in monogamy?
Yeah.
Um, for me personally, yes.
Yeah.
For, do I think it's essentialfor everyone?

Kristine (40:52):
No.
Okay.
That's a hundred percent

Carrie (40:54):
my answer.
I think that everyone hasdifferent, like preferences and
everyone has different, youknow, things that are important
to them.
And I don't think it is a onesize fits all answer.
I agree.
But for me, yeah.

Kristine (41:10):
Yeah.

Carrie (41:11):
Same.
Good answer.
I mean, I am a bit of a serialmonogamist, so I, I have gone
from long-term relationship tolong-term relationship to
long-term relationship.
So

Kristine (41:21):
same.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I with you on that one?
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, you answered it for bothof us.
Oh, good.
Okay.
Do we wanna do one more?
Yeah.
And then we'll do a listenerquestion.
Yeah.

Carrie (41:31):
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive,

Kristine (41:35):
who would it be?
Dinner.
Yeah.
Nick Donis.
I'm gonna see if I can make, turn it into breakfast.
That's my answer.
Legit.
I would love to, I would love topick his brain.

(41:55):
I'd also like to see his butt.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How is it Nick on stage?
It's really nice.
Yeah.
He's got a nice bum.
Yeah, it's, it's like jace's.
Yeah.
It's like a little bit of abubble bum.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's got a little bit, he'spacking heat there.
I'm Googling Nick, Jonas butt.
Oh, I love that.
Yeah.
He's got a nice brown bum.

(42:20):
Wow.
Pitch up, patch

Carrie (42:22):
up my heart.
Just, yeah.
Pitta patch up.

Kristine (42:24):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I love that.
Thanks.
Um, what about yourself?
Who would like you, who wouldyou like to have?
Sorry, I'm flustered.
Yeah, I can.

Carrie (42:32):
So red is red.
Chest is red.
Very overwhelmed.

Kristine (42:38):
Tears mad.

Carrie (42:39):
Um, that's a good question.
Cause they're alive.
I know.
Dead or alive.
Hey.

Kristine (42:46):
Yeah.

Carrie (42:48):
Dinner with anyone dead or alive.
Okay.
I know who I'd pick Who?
My grandma.

Kristine (42:52):
Okay.
I was wondering if you weregonna say that.
Yeah, so I

Carrie (42:54):
think I'd picked my grandma.
Um, my grandparents passed awayin 2013.
Um, both together at the sametime, just in case anyone's
wondering.
Yes.
It's just like the notebook.
Um, and I think I'd like to havedinner with my grandma cause
it's been 10 years.
I can't believe it's been that

Kristine (43:15):
long.
Right.

Carrie (43:16):
And, uh, I was very, very close to my grandparents,
so.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Kristine (43:20):
Grandma, when you said you did, you were like trying to
Yeah, I was like, I got thislike

Carrie (43:24):
Yeah.
It's your grandma.
It's your grandma.
Yeah.
I think I would go for dinnerwith my grandma.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's a very good answer.
Oh, thank you.

Kristine (43:31):
Um, Oh, okay.
What is your zodiac sign and areyou true

Carrie (43:34):
to it?
Okay, so my Zodiac sign is Virgoand yes, absolutely I am, I,
anytime I read Virgopersonalities or anything, um, I
think that I fit it pretty muchto a t and I am a August Virgo
and I fit that month as well.
Um, so what are Virgocharacteristics?

(43:56):
Um, 10 traits of a Virgo.
They are perfectionists.
They always think in a solutionoriented way.
They're sensitive and emotional.
They're a doer.
Um, they're intelligent,reliable, confident,
hardworking.
I do, I just, and like everytime I see something that like

(44:19):
talks about Virgos, I'm like,yeah, that's me.
Yeah, that's absolutely me.

Kristine (44:23):
Good.
I think so too.
I agree with you that you arevery much a Virgo.
I am.
Um, so I'm a Taurus, um, and Ithink I fit the Taurus bill
Yeah.
A hundred million times over.
Yeah.
I am very stubborn bullheaded, but I'm also kind and generous.
Um, I'm hardworking, um, loyal.
I find like my strongest one,um, trait in with being a

(44:48):
Taurus.
Yep.
Um, and also have independence.
Um, there's some negative traits

Carrie (44:54):
too.
Yeah.
I was gonna, I'll go throughmine in a second,

Kristine (44:56):
where there's jealousy, um, some
materialistic, possessive, um,um, and, uh, stubborn is like,
but we mentioned that earlier.
Yeah.
At the beginning.
But yeah.
So I think I fit that bill Yeah.
A hundred times

Carrie (45:10):
over.
So my negative traits areexcessive worrier.
Yeah.
Little neurotic.
Nitpicky, disagreeable,hypercritical,

Kristine (45:24):
like,

Carrie (45:25):
yes.
Yeah.
Yes, yes, I am.
All of those things.
And that's okay.
I, yeah.
Oh, hypochondriac.
That's funny, right?
I, I always have

Kristine (45:36):
something, there's a word on this list that I don't
know what it means.
I have to go, what is it?
Gluttonous?
What does that mean?
Um, excessively greedy.
Am I greedy?
A little bit.
I mean, when it comes to food.
Yeah.
Like

Carrie (45:47):
you don't share food?

Kristine (45:49):
No.
I'm always willing to share justnot your food.
Yeah.
Come at me.
That's also another thing aboutTaurus is they love

Carrie (45:55):
their food.
Yeah.
And you really do.
I really do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, yes, I do think I'm a lotlike my sign and, you know, I
mean, you could probably give mea list of like, Any of the signs
and I could probably find piecesthat I am part of, but like, I
really think Virgos like fit meto a

Kristine (46:16):
tea.
Like a tea.
The one thing on this list thatI don't agree with for myself is
the, an animal and nature lover.
Like I do like animals, but I'mnot like somebody who's like one
with like the earth.
No.
And the animals absolutely.
We're not like, I'd rather hit ahotel than go camping.

Carrie (46:32):
Yeah.
Yeah.
This one says dignified.

Kristine (46:38):
She's waving like a queen.
Yeah.
I love it.

Carrie (46:40):
Practical, meticulous.
Perfectionist.
Oh yeah.
Serious.
Yeah.
Sometimes.

Kristine (46:48):
Um, when you guys are listening, send us what you guys
are and if you believe that youare a true zodiac sign of what
you are, we wanna know, cuz we,Carrie and I both really were
into it.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.

Carrie (47:03):
Speaks fluent sarcasm.
This one's funny.
That is funny.
Overthinks, everything willknock your lights

Kristine (47:10):
out.
Yeah.
Yes you would.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Have you ever punched

Carrie (47:15):
anybody?
I haven't, but I want to often.

Kristine (47:20):
So I've never punched anybody either.
It's on my bucket list.
I know it's, I actuallylegitimately want to punch
somebody and make it count.
Like I don't wanna punchsomebody and it be weak.
Mm-hmm.
I wanna punch somebody and itabsolutely be effective like,
you want to, but I also don'twanna get arrested.
Right.
So,

Carrie (47:40):
no.
We did meet a guy who

Kristine (47:41):
is a professional fighter and he was going to
allow me to punch him and, but Ididn't do it because his other
friend started to record it andI didn't wanna like, no, get in
any sort of trouble or anything.
But I do, I wanna, I think Ineed to like go to like a, a
boxing something and likeactually, Learn how to punch and
punch somebody there.

(48:02):
So I, cuz I'm not gonna fight aperson.
No.
Oh.
In the public.
But I do wanna make it count.
I wanna make it hurt.
That's fair.
I don't know.
It's a weird thing to have on abucket list, but, no, I like it.
Do we have a listener question?
I have some listener questions.
Okay.
Amazing.
Yep.
We're gonna move into that andthen we'll do our, uh, our

Carrie (48:19):
favorite part.
Favorite part.
Okay.
Um, how do we stay organized?
Day planner, digital planner.
Sarah?

Kristine (48:29):
Uh, the answer is Sarah.

Carrie (48:31):
Yeah.
Um, I am one of those peoplethat has tried more times than I
can count to be like a plannerperson.
Yeah.
And I'm just not Same.
See, like I wi, I want so bad inmy heart to be one of those
people that like fills out aplanner, whether it be digital
or not.
I'm just not, yeah.
I'm just not that person.

(48:51):
I love to-do lists.
Mm-hmm.
Christina and I, um, usually onSunday when we have lots of
stuff going on, the next weekwe'll text each other a list.
Mm-hmm.
And then we'll check'em off, back and forth throughout the
day.

Kristine (49:03):
Yeah.
And no, I like that.
Me too.
Because it, everything on thelist, it has something to do
with both of us

Carrie (49:10):
together.
Mm-hmm.
Right.
And then we can make ourseparate list too, at the
bottom, and then we'll checkthose

Kristine (49:13):
off.
But, and it just, and it keepsus accountable for everything.
Yeah.
And I like that.
So, no, we're not a plannerperson.
We do have, um, a type ofplanner that we use at the
office.
Company-wide, company-wide.
But, um, it's nothing, it's notlike our specific to-do list.
It just keeps like our, uh,launches organized, et cetera,

(49:34):
et cetera.
Yeah, I agree.

Carrie (49:36):
But otherwise, and Sarah.

Kristine (49:37):
Sarah, yeah.
Yeah.
I would say Carrie and Itogether as a team with our
lists.
And then Sarah really keeps usaccountable, thank God.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or else we run in amuck, right?

Carrie (49:50):
Yeah.
Um, what are your pet peeves?

Kristine (49:54):
Pet peeves?
Mm-hmm.
Personally, like, just like whatI don't like about people.
Yeah.
What are your personal petpeeves?
Carrie doesn't like when I drinkwater,

Carrie (50:07):
I hate mouth noises in general.

Kristine (50:09):
Um,

Carrie (50:10):
I don't know.
That's Christine and my husbandare literally the loudest
swallowers I have everencountered in my life.
And I don't know if it's cuzthey put too much liquid in
their mouth and then when theyswallow it's like this big
swallowing noise or what it is.
But it gives me the ick, theheebie jbs.
I can't.
And I find when like I'm PMSing.

(50:32):
Yeah, I can tell because I haveto turn the volume up on the TV
in our office.
Cause like I can hear Christinedrinking.
Yeah.
And I just wanna stab my eyesout.
Mm-hmm.

Kristine (50:41):
No, I'm sorry.
I don't know what it is.
It's, it's okay.
Um, chewing gum really pisses meoff.
Yeah.
I just don't like it.
I get it.
I just find it so loud.

Carrie (50:51):
Annoying and annoying.
It really is.
Yeah.
And I'm one of those peoplewhere I don't like mouth noises,
so I don't like, The sound ofdry mouth.
So I always have like, I like tochew gum because it gets rid of
that sound of dry mouth.
Yeah.
But then once it starts gettingyucky, I start chewing it gross
and I'm like, oh, let's spitthis out.
Now you're doing the other thingyou don't like,

Kristine (51:11):
I, I don't know.
That one's really hard cuz Ialso just try to like, ignore
the things that piss me off.
Mm-hmm.
Or else it's just gonna make myday miserable.
Right.
So that one's

Carrie (51:21):
tough.
Mine's just chewing, like mouthnoises in general.
Yeah.

Kristine (51:23):
I'm gonna say mouth noises also.
Or when people don't say thankyou and they, when you hold the
door open for them.
Oh yeah.
Like, fuck

Carrie (51:33):
off, I'm gonna stop saying thank

Kristine (51:34):
you.
Oh, that pisses me off.

Carrie (51:36):
Or when someone asks you a question and you answer it and
then they say nothing.
Yeah.
Say

Kristine (51:40):
thank you.
Say thank you.
That's annoying.
Yeah.
Anyway.

Carrie (51:44):
Um, okay.
I have one more.
Okay.
Okay.
How do you deal with theself-doubt about completing your
job?

Kristine (51:59):
That's, that's deep.
Deep.
That's deep.
That's deep.
Um, that's something I strugglewith every day.
Yeah.
Every day.
Mm-hmm.
Um, how do I overcome it?
I just try to kind like kindlyremind myself that I can do the
things, that I can do the hardthings.
Mm-hmm.
I'm here for a reason.
I'm here for a purpose.

(52:21):
This wasn't just handed to us.
No.
So continue on.
Mm-hmm.
Or, you know, like, yeah.
Push yourself.
Mm-hmm.
That's tough question.
That's really it is.

Carrie (52:32):
I find you and I bounce a lot of things off each other
too.
Yeah.
Like when we're uncertain aboutwhat we're working

Kristine (52:36):
on.
Yeah.
I agree.
We do talk, talk it out a lot, which is very helpful.
Um, and I'm so grateful forhaving Yeah.
A person having you therebecause if I didn't, I feel like
I, I probably mm-hmm.
Would've given up a long timeago because sometimes those
negative thoughts can like, takeover.
Yeah.

(52:57):
So hard and so fast.

Carrie (52:59):
For me, a lot of it is when I'm dealing with like the
businessy things.
Yeah.
Like the numbers, things, themoney stuff.
And I'm like, ah, am I makingthe right decision?
Yeah, no, I

Kristine (53:11):
agree.
It's agree, very stressful.
And that what I like about us islike when there's that
stressful, when you're dealingwith that Yeah.
You're like, Hey, this is like, this is the fucking problem.
Yeah.
And now I'm like, let's go.
Mm-hmm.
Like we can do this.
Mm-hmm.
Here are my ideas, these are mythoughts.
Yeah.
And then we just like take oneand run with it.
Mm-hmm.
So again, the bouncing of ideasYeah.
And talking it out

Carrie (53:32):
really helps.
Or me being like, this is whatI'm doing.
Yeah.
Are you okay with this decisionI made?
Yeah.
Even though it's the onlydecision, but it's nice to know
that both of us have our, yeah,

Kristine (53:43):
sometimes.
Sometimes we both realizethere's no, there's no other
options.
We're like

Carrie (53:47):
Uhhuh.
Yeah.
Yep.
Yeah.
But I'm gonna tell you becausethen if it's wrong, then at
least we both sy.
Yes.

Kristine (53:52):
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.

Carrie (53:54):
Yeah.

Kristine (53:55):
Yeah.
Okay.
Who knows?
To whoever

Carrie (53:57):
asked that one.
Right.
That was a good one.

Kristine (53:59):
Okay.
Okay.
Back to, uh, back to ourfavorite thing here.
Okay.
So with, if you're new to ourpodcast, welcome to the best
part.
Um, every episode, Carrie and Ido Fuck Mary Kilt.
We do, um, they are randomlyselected or, uh, thought out
based on what that person Yeah.

(54:19):
Likes, mm-hmm.
Et cetera, et cetera.
Mine's

Carrie (54:21):
not as well thought out as it should be, but that's
okay.
That's fine.
Mine follows a theme,

Kristine (54:24):
if that helps.
Oh, I love themes.
Yeah, mine does too.
Okay.
Okay.
Do you wanna go first?
No, you go first.
You ready?
Yes.
Okay.
This is the fast food version.
Okay.
Okay.
Fuck Mary.

Okay.
I'm gonna fuck Ronald McDonald.

Kristine (54:57):

Okay.

(55:17):
Okay.
Okay.

Carrie (55:19):
And now I'm gonna marry the brother king.
Cause then Ill be queen

Kristine (55:24):
broke.

Carrie (55:24):
Queen.
I'll be the queen.
Congratulations.
I was queen waving earlier andthen I'll just kill the bear.
Yeah.

Kristine (55:31):
Honestly, I think it's the best decision.
Um, let me know when it'scoronation day.

Carrie (55:36):
I'll, I get to have my own coronation.
Yeah.
See, this was good.

Kristine (55:41):
Oh shit.
That was really funny.

Carrie (55:43):
Thank you.
Oh, that was really funny.
I'm really glad I, uh, Oh, askthose.
Ask those.
Okay.
So mine aren't funny.
I didn't know we were going witha funny theme today.
Well,

Kristine (55:55):
I couldn't find anything on the internet.
Yeah, I have ideas.
Oh, I do actually.
But I thought this one was thelike the best.
Okay.

Carrie (56:02):
Okay.
You ready?
Yeah.
This is Harry Potter edition.
Oh yeah.
Okay.
But it's professors.
So we've got Professor Snape.
Professor Dumbledore.
Yeah.
And Professor Lupin Lupin.
Yeah.
He turns into the werewolf.

Kristine (56:19):
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
He's pretty good looking.
I think I need, just need tolook.
Oh, Lupin.
Or, I think I remember him.
Professor Lupin.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
you said who?
Dumble Door.
Dumbledore.
Snape.
Snape.
Lupin.
Lupin.
Okay.
I think I'd fuck Snape.
Yeah.
Ah, yeah.
Yeah.
I think I'd fuck Snape.
Okay.
I'd probably Mary Double door.

(56:39):
Yeah.
Alvis.
Well, he's

Carrie (56:41):
got all the power

Kristine (56:43):
he does.
Um, and then Kius Lupin Kill LeWerewolf.
Hey, kill Lupin.
Yeah, I think so.
I'm walking that in.
Okay.
He's pretty cute though.
He is pretty cute.

Carrie (56:54):
Yep.
Yeah, he's so serious black,

Kristine (56:56):
but yeah, I know.
Yeah.
No, I would, I would fuck'sname.
