II.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Here you are Crazy Ktley best. I love cats, cat
ass cat, Two Girls, three Cats.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Congratulations, keep begun your transformation into Crazy Catley.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Hello Jenna, Hello, submit, Welcome to Two Girls, Three Cats.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
So enthusiastic today.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well, you know it is Christmas coming up?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Truely true.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
This, of course, for not regular listeners, is the podcast
All about Cats. We are two girls and we have.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Three cats between us between.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
So we don't have like one and a half each. No, no, no,
I have one.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
You have two. I have two. I have one. I
forgot that too. I'm like, wait, I have two cats.
I'm like, do I have too? I like, that's a huge.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Commitment having two cats. I'm reassessing all of my life here.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Do I have two cats? Oh my god? That explains
why I'm so poor? Where's my other cat?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Why do I smell like fish all the time? Oh
my god? Well, you know what it is. It's because
it's the end of the year and we're coming into
Christmas and everyone's gone a little.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Bit true, very true.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
How are you looking forward to Christmas this year?
Speaker 1 (01:10):
I'm very much looking forward to spending Christmas with my Connie.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Same but not with Connie, No, with Connie.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Are you spending Christmas with Connie?
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
My god, me too for some turkey?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
You No, I am looking forward to you know when
people say, oh, what are you doing for Christmas? We're
doing like this, and I'm like, I'm just playnging.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Out magar l same me too, me too.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's gonna be great.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I feel like cat people are maybe, now i'm thinking
about it, more likely to be people that stay at home,
I think so. I feel like that might be something
we need to discuss further.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
But it also says a lot that you would rather
stay home with your cat than go out.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I missed the work Christmas party last week. You did,
you did, and my reason was because I wanted to
spend the night with the cats.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
And you know that what that's fair enough? You went.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Did you miss Connie while you're I missed her so
much because I feel like I know you quite well now,
and I feel like you'd just be there the whole time,
just like, how long time I you can go and
see Connie?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I honestly did.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
I just showed people pictures of Connie. I'm that annoying person.
I'm like, look at her, look at her.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Go. So we've both got the Ebo camera, haven't we.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yes. Oh, it's a game change about emil.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
So this is a camera that you can control remotely
through your phone and it rolls along and it's great.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
You can record, you can take pictures, whatever, and it's
just such a great tool.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
And also if you're ever worried that your cat might
have run out when you've left and you've been in
this situation, yeah, you were there for me, big time.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Traumatic.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
It was traumatic because it was when Blossom at first
discovered running outside, and the day before I think she'd
got in my blind spot and I hadn't realized that
she'd got out behind me until I saw her in
the corridor and I was like, oh my God, put
her inside. But then, of course the next day I thought, oh,
what if she got out, even though I didn't like
she hadn't. So I went on to the Ebo camera
and I was rolling it around and looking for the cat.
(03:05):
Couldn't find her. But thankfully Jenna looked after me that one.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yes, I was there for you.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
You were like, she's fine. It's like that feeling of
when you think you've left the iron on or the
hair straighteners yeah, yeah, but the Ebo camera can like
drive it around.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
That's the thing that's the difference between normal pit camera
and the Ebo yea. And once again we're not sponsored
by Ebo, but if Ebo wants to give us a
few more cameras, go for it.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
You know, wait all for it.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
But like I was saying, it's different to a normal
pit camera because it rolls around and you can move it.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's like a little toy. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
So if you're like, oh, my cat's not where it
normally is, I better find where she is and you
can just drive it to where the cat is, Yes, exactly,
And then occasionally it will go Ebo.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yes, and then it's like Ebo going home. It's got
a cute voice, it had. It's so cute.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Anyway, we digressed so much, I.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Know, but we had to.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
It's a really good camera, isn't it. It's probably the
best purchase, one of the best purchases that I've made
for Bluebell and bloss them. Likewise, likewise, which brings us
to this week's topic.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
It is, of course.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Christmassmas for cat, for cats and for humans, but.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Mostly for cats, but mostly for cats. I mean Christmas
trees all of that.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Cats love it.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Do you have a Christmas tree?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
No, because I know if I did, it would be
destroyed within a matter of second seconds.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, same with mine. Yep.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
I did buy them a there was a Kmart Christmas tree.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Oh I seeing those.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yes, it fell apart.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
That's the problem with those cardboard box at once because
I got Connie a cabin like this, cute fishing cabin,
so adorable. A month later, I had to throw it
out because there were little cardboard pieces everywhere. She loved
biting it, she loved jumping on top of it, and
because it's cardboard, it's obviously not going to stay.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
So it ended up being.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
A waste Christmas tree. Box cardboard thing whatever they called
what are they called? It fell down and it looked
a mess, and I was like, right, I'm gonna call
it's going in the bend.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah. I took the scratchy bits out of it.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Same card me too. And the love that we've still got.
I've still got that as well. It's really good.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
So but the Christmas tree sadly didn't make it. We're
not having a Christmas tree because obviously cats.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I have seen a few posts online of cats hidden
in Christmas trees.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
It's so funny. I loved them.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
And I saw a post I think it was a meme,
and it was somebody's cat is scared of like mandarins
or something, so they put mandarins around the Christmas tree
to avoid the cat jumping onto the tree.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
And there's an amazing.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Photo of the cat just looking at the tree with
the mandarins around it, petrified, like I know, I'm not
going near that tree anymore those mandarins.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
No.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
And also mandarins are like a Christmas fruit, Christmas fruit,
so it works.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yes, And it looked quite nice.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
It was like a nice little you know, in a
little circle surrounding the tree.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
It looked quite.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Cute because you know, that's the whole thing, is that
if you put like a square on the floor, like
a piece of paper or just like draw a square
or whatever and chalk, the.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Cat will go and sit on it. We tried this,
remember with the dot on a paper.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yes, yes, I.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Forgot about that.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
There's a dot on the piece of paper and you
have to see if your cat will put the poor
on cover it up. Yes, this is like the opposite
of that is the opposite. That's I'm going to try it. Actually,
i'll report back next week. I'm gonna get Samandaran's.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I want to know what happens.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
I'm not going to commit to getting a tree, no,
but but get Samandarins. Yes, and tested it, test it
by the front door. See if they don't run out.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Good.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
This is such a great idea. That is great.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
So do you buy Christmas presents for Connie?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Of course? I got Connie an engraved stocking, gift stocking.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
I have seen it.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yes, it's so cute and so I'm going to put
little you know, little treats, little toys.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
And things in there and gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
How many presents do you buy Connie?
Speaker 1 (06:55):
You know what, there's no there's no number, to be honest,
as many as I can.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
How about with you in Bluebell and Bossom? Do you
buy them present?
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Of course, they've got so many toys, like I'm almost
out of sort of toys that they can have.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, but I.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Admit I did do like a little kmart online. This
is such an This is not an ad.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
I know it's not. We're not we're not getting paid
for that. We're not getting paid to do this podcast.
At all, But I did.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
I did do a little kmart run online and I
didn't get like a fancy stocking like yours, but it was.
It was a stocking which just had the letter B
on it, and I got two, which is very convenient
that they'll both be, of course, And then I bought
some you know they how they do, like the sort
of plastic stockings with a.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Bunch of different toys. Yes, I've seen those.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Toys are not necessarily that great, that's the thing, but
they're like you know, fillers.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
They're still cute. They're so cute. I love saying them.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
So I'm going to hang those up somewhere. I don't
know where. Maybe I put a Mandarin in there.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Put Amanda in this, you know, just to see what happens.
So fancy feast who we love.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah, but again there's no monetary and nothing financial going
on here, no sponsorship, so like.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Get that out of your right. We're so poor, we
really are. So if you want to pay us, like,
go ahead.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Yeah, we literally spend all of our money on your CATSSB.
The Fuzzy Fees did put out a study and they
were saying that pet owners or feline families in particular,
we'll spend more than seventy one million dollars on their
cats this festive season, with an average of two point
four gifts per cat.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
That makes sense from a cat owner's perspective, But if
I wasn't a cat owner, I would be like, what
are you buying these cats? Seventy one million and two
point four gifts per cat? Also the point four interesting?
Speaker 2 (08:48):
We have one and a half.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know how many I buy them.
I just buy them stuff until that I've run out
of stuff to buy them.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Me too.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Their favorite food is the fancy fees that tuno and gravy.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Things still favorite.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Corney loves it. She's loving her Advent calendar. Oh, she
is loving it, all these new flavors. You'm had to admit,
what finished mine? O?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
God, it's the beginning of December. Sam.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
We've run out of fancy feet because they love it
so much and that's what.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
They want to eat now.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
And just the satisfaction of opening the little boxes in
the Advent calendar and seeing what flavor it is.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
It's so exciting. It's so exciting, it really is. You
don't understand until you've got it.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Okay, so apparently toys top The list makes sense of
gifts that people buy their cats at Christmas, with more
than six point two million perfect presents set to sit
under the tree. You Jessica Row friend of the show, Yes, good,
friend of the show. Hello Jessica. We love you so much,
(09:54):
I really do. She is a self confessed crazy cat lady.
Love it, We love her and she He's been sharing
some of her Christmas rituals that she has with her cats,
Freddie and Daisy.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
I love those names so much. I love her Key
and Daisy. They're so cute. They have so much personality.
They really do. Did you see the one.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
I'm not sure which cat it was, but he or
she was licking the milk out of then espresso milk idea.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
How cute?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
So cute? And I love how they get on with
the dog. I love that. That is so cute. The
little dog. Yeah, the beautiful it's a shit su I
think it is. It is, yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
So, she says, for most people, the firstive seasons about
spending time with family, and if you're like me, my
cat's are part of the family, so I include them
in our special festive traditions, including new Chrissy tree decorations
for them each year.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh Christmas tree decorations.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
I've seen a few of those. Where was it a
David Jones? I think, once again, not sponsored.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
And they're so cute.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
You can get all different types of cat ones, like
little cat figurines and things to hang up. The thing
is they're gonna smash they are, they are, They're too
good to be. I understand if you're a cat enthusiast
who doesn't own any cats, take them all.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
But if you do have a cat, they're going to
be destroyed.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
I'm sorry, they will be destroyed. It's just I mean,
before I had cats, I would love the Christmas tree.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Although a couple of years ago standard me I discovered
I was allergic to your Christmas trees.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
I was carrying one and them wrapped my eye and
I went, oh, so.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
You're allergic to Christmas trees? Cats, dogs, all the greatest things.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Horses, Oh no, nuts, Oh no, we can't get into
this again.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Oh this is distressing'raumatic it honestly is.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
You know what I actually want for Christmas, which is
again I'm not being sponsored O cat. I want a cat,
But I really want an air purifier. You've got one,
haven't you.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yes, I do. It's I don't know if it works properly.
Like I feel like it does vote properly, but I
don't feel a difference, but it apparently is doing something
to the air, right, But like you can't tell me
if it is, because they're expensive, they are, And I
don't always wanted one since I got Connie because cat
hair everywhere, you know, just in the air, and allergies
(12:06):
and things like that.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
And I thought, oh, perfect, I must say.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Ever since I did get it, I have noticed a
lack of hair in the air.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Really, yes.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And the other week I opened the purifier and looked
at the filter and it's filled with hair. It was
so satisfying. I'm like, you see it is working.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Okay. I can't feel it, I don't know, but I
can see the hair.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I feel like I would be able to tell the difference, really,
because i'm stuff. Yeah, and I'm allergic to dust.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
You know sometimes when the light's quite strong and it
comes to the window. Yeah, and you can see dust
particles in the air.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Does Connie ever get distracted by those? Because mine, dud,
They're like, oh, what's that? And I'm like, stop highlighting
the fact that there's dust in here.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Absolutely, anytime there's some sort of dusty reflection or even
a shadow that shows some dust, she's staring at it.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
She's trying to jump at it. She gets so distracted.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
It's passive aggressive. It's like, are you going to clean this?
Or do I have to live in this field?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Exactly No, but I hate it when you know, I'm
getting my Connie cuddles, it's all nice, and then she
sees it and her eyes just just light up like
a Christmas straight and she's like, oh my god, Corney,
come on, and she'll run to it and just look
at it. And I'm like, oh, come on, don't. I'm tired.
I don't have time to clean.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
I don't have time to dust. Yeah, that's what the purifiers.
So I want one of those for Christmas. My two did.
I had a birthday recently, as we have it, and
my two did buy me a day again. A lot
of reds coming up today, David Jones gift cards.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
They cave me a hundred dollars each.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I woke up, I woke up in the morning and
there's a little card next to the bed, and then
it was like signed by them, and then I suspected
it wasn't really them. It was and to one hundred
dollars David Jones gift cards.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I just pictured them going to David Jones, you know,
like little pocket.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yeah. I'd love to buy my mom this, please.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
And so I was thinking about spending that on an
air purified. That's a good idea, actually, but I might
wait to the box boxing day sales.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
True, true, don't get them full price, don't get them, don't.
I can't afford it.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
We're not even sponsored, for goodness.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
So we do have what like less than two weeks.
It's coming down to the pointy end of.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
The Christmas y. Yes, true, So I guess I better go.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
And buy some presents.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Two point four present, yes, only two point four put
I'll split like one up into a point four.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
I'm not good with maths and stuff, but I'll organize something,
So Connie expect two point four gifts, not three.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I'm allergic to cats. Two Girls three Cats.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Two Girls, three Cats is hosted and produced by Samantha
Clark and Jenna Benson.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Audio production by Wayne Fox aka Foxy.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
All social and video content by Jenna Benson.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
And a big thank you to all the cats in
the world, including our very own Bluebell, Blossom and Connie.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Now
