Speaker 1 (00:02):
I hear that you are crazy Katley best I love cats,
cat basket, Two Girls, three Cats.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Congratulations you begun your transformation into crazy Katleen.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
This is two Girls, three Cats. My name is Sammy, and.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
This is Jenna, and we're back.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
We are back. We've been on a bit of a
break because well we've just been really busy, we really have,
and we have a lot of cats to deal with.
But also we have a day job.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Exactly exactly, but I mean, the cats do take up
a lot of time.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
The cats take up all the time. But we did
go to something recently that we had to jump on
here and come and talk about. Because where did we go, Jenna?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
We went to the Cat Lovers Festival in Sydney.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh so good.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
This is the best day.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Can I just say that I haven't smiled as much
in ages as I did that day?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Me too, Me too?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
You know what your face hurts from smiling? Yes, it
was a great day.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
It was such a great day, just being surrounded by
other cat lovers, so many different stalls, we got our
face painted.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
We did so much, really really packed it in. The
thing that stands out for me about the Cat Lovers
Festival is that I think that we're quite intense with
our love for cats. Yeah, we talk about cats all
the time. Obviously, we have a podcast about cats. We
constantly just cats up. We're all about cats constant. You
go to the Cat Lovers Festival and they people have
taken it to the next level.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
We have nothing on them, We have.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Nothing like there's cosplay. There were people who took their
cats with them.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yes, yes, even though it did say not to, I know,
but I feel like they were part of the festival somehow. Yes,
but also the fact that they got involved in the
festival shows how committed they are.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yes, you know, I think, oh, I've got a tattoo
on my thumb of a cat, like I've got tattoos
of you know, tributes to my cats, not tributes, because
is that right tribune?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, yeah, true, yeah, yeah, tribute.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
These people at the festival had life size tattoos of thinking.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yes. I saw one girl out of hundreds, and she
had the coolest cat tattoo all up her arm. I've
never seen anything like it, and I loved it.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You know, they should have had a tattoos.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
There that day, They really should have.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
So we got our face paints, yes, yes, and that
was fun.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
That was so much fun. I got the nose and
the whiskers.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And that was really cute because you had the pink
lipstick as well.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yes, yes, and the black little nose.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It was really cute. And I got the cat above
my eyebrow, which was it was adorable. I didn't want
to take it off.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I know. Same with me.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
When I got the train home, people were looking at
me and I was like, I'm proud, Yeah, they's on
my eyebrow.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, because we were on the train together when we
came back and I saw a few especially like young
teenage boys and stuff, just giving me weird glances, and
I totally forgot that I had my nose and whiskers
still on, and then realized and I'm like, you know what,
I'm proud of it.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I'm proud to be a cat.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
So we got there really early, didn't We really really early,
just as doors were opening, because we were keen, and
we left as doors were closing. I was so tired
the next day, exhausted. But what did we see then?
So we saw obviously the face painting. Yeah, we saw
your favorite yes, celebrity cat.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yes. So as soon as we got there, there was
a talk from cat Man two and his adorable cat, Didja.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Digit is the most talented cat I have ever seen.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Honestly, if you don't know Didja, look up cat Man
two on social media and you'll see Didja skateboarding, swimming.
She's the ultimate adventure cat.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
And so he did a talk and he was explaining
how to train your cat.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, like ticker training, Like with the tick thing. We
have to get one of those, I know, we totally do,
really do we do.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Been meaning to get one since and I haven't done it.
I know same, we have to get one. We'll get
one for the next time.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Because we said that we'd look around because I thought
maybe one of the stalls would be selling it. They
probably did, but I was too preoccupied with other cat toys.
We did have a.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Good look around, though, we really did, like there's a
bit of a gap in the market. Though it should
have been some that could have sold them.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I know of that, I know.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
So here's a bit of a grab that jen Actually,
Jenna was really funny during this cat Man two things.
So she raced over to the talking area to the
lecture area, I guess, and she was like front Center
videoing everything like a proper nerve. Was so wholesome to
watch her just completely in her element.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
It was the best.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
So here's a bit of a recording that Jenna got
of the day of Catman two and Digita.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Hi, everybody, this is Digit Sure for Didgeridoo and I'm
Robert and you could tell us apart. She's the one
with the Aussie accent. I rescued her from shelter eleven
years ago. And would you see a couple of tricks live.

(04:51):
She's the one who gave me the idea for skateboarding
when she was a kid. A guy came up wrote
up on a skateboard. I thought she'd be afraid of
the skateboard. Instead up, the guy jumped off, she jumped on.
So I was like, okay, let's take it to the
next level.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
How cool? Is that? So cool? I love them so much.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
And then we did go and get a photo.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
We did. They had a mini meet and greet, So
once the talk finished, everybody started piling out of the
little speaker area, and I thought, I thought there was
going to be a meet and Greek like, I don't
know where I'd read it or heard it. I was like,
I'm sure there's a meet and greet to meet cat
Man two and didya, I'm sure, And as we were

(05:38):
just about to go out, there were a few of
us still standing around the stage and groupies, yes, groupies,
didya groupies, And that's when they announced that there would
be a small meet and Greek. So obviously what we
were like third in nine or something. We got to
chat to Catman two. Yeah, and obviously Didja had a
great conversation with Didja.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
We met and Gret Didja yes. So it was funny
is when we were in the queue, I said to Jenna,
who's gonna mention we've got a podcast, because there's always
one of this that has to mention. Jenna did it?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I did.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
This was the first time that you had done it normally,
like you were like, we have a podcast.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
It just came out. I think it was the first
thing I said to him. And he's like, oh wow.
He was really impressed.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
He's lovely, so so lovely, such a lovely man. And
then he took selfies for us and he took like
twenty selfies. That's how you know you're on.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
An absolute expert. Yeah, not just like one yere you
go no one and did You was posing.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
And everything did You was beautiful? So hit them up
on Instagram, have a look at them at cat Man two.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
You'll be able to find that they have millions of
followers subscribe as all that. I'm pretty sure he also
has a Patreon as well, where you can subscribe to
get like exclusive content and stuff.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
That's right. So the backstory with cat Man two is
that he used to train animals in Hollywood and then
he moved to Australia and now he trains this beautiful
cat called Didja Rescue cat rescue cats. Okay, so apart
from that, what else do we do? There were breeders, yes,
so many breeders, every breed American curl That was exciting.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yes, So if you don't know American curls, they're so cute,
look them up on Google. They're pretty much just a
normal looking cat, but the ear is curl over. They're
so cute. And obviously we saw rag dolls.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
We saw so many rag dolls. So I've been on
the mission to try and find the heritage like ancestry
DNA of my rag dolls. And so I was looking
at all the photos of the various breeders going that
one looks like bluebellar, that one looks like Mathlam which
one am. So if anybody knows actually how I can
find the lineage.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yes, please hit us up at two girls, three cats.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I actually have an idea. I feel I feel like
maybe Bluebell came from Craig Dolls. I've been through all
of the websites, so this needs to be something that
I look more into.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yeah, so there were a lot of rag Doll breeders.
All the breeders were there. Yes, they are passionate.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
We went to even one of the couple of the
talks when the Bengal cats yes, Bengal Yeah, very interesting.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
And the Norwegian forest yes.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
They're huge. I love them. And we saw some main coons.
They're so cute.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yes, Persians Persians of course, also the patter cat. But
we didn't get to that, did.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
We No, but we did pat a few cats, yes,
breed our cats and also the rescued cats. So cats
up for adoption.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
You know, what was really surprising to me about the
the adoption stands was the amount of kittens that they
had for adoption, because I always assume in my head
that you know, the older cats that are up for adoption.
But no, they were kittens. So if you don't want
a kitten, you can get I know this probably sounds
really ignorant from my point of view, but I didn't
realize the amount of kittens that.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
You can know, absolutely not.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, so that was really cute. And plus there were
loads of shops, so.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
So many shops, and that's exactly what we needed.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
We shopped, We got freebies.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
We got so many freebies. We lined up. It was
fine lining up, like I'm I'll line up for hours
for cat freebies, but like they were actually really good
free They were really good. Yeah, like feather things. Connie
is obsessed with her little feather thing that I got
some toy. Then there was different foods, some that I've
never even heard of, and I've fed them to Connie

(09:12):
and she's actually really enjoyed them.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Yes, and there were there was a showbag yes, yes,
with the true pops.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yes. And it came with a little spoon as well.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
I used it for the first time last night.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
How was it.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
It's a game changer. So really, you know, when you've
got the paste, yes, or the yogurt as you call it, Yes,
And you're sort of pushing it out and they can't
get it out quick enough.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yep, and Connie rips it out of my hand.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
So this is a spoon. You clip it into the
spoon and then you've got a slider which slides gradually
the paste out and then it goes into like this
bit at the end, so they can lick it off
that bit.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Wait, so you don't manually have to squeeze it onto
the spoon.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
You just drag the slider up and it pushes it.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Out all of it. Yeah, so you have no waist.
Now it's really good, even serious surprise, it's all right.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
So it's all right. Yeah, so honestly, try it. You'll
love it.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I will. I'll try it tonight.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
And we both got a toy as well. Yes, yes,
I had to charge myne last night for the first time.
So this was like a little remote control toy that
you have a feather you screw in the top and
then you can either put on automatic and it rolls around,
or you can manually use the joypads to move it around.
That was fun.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
They love it, yeah, Connie loves hers. And I also
got that other toy where it's the little little holes
and the little feather thing pops out, and then it
also has this other automatic mode where it moves as well.
Oh my god, it's really cool. It was like I'm
pretty sure it was like seventy dollars, but it was
a Japanese one, so it was imported from Japan. And

(10:42):
Connie loves it. Oh, she loves it. It's so much
fun and it lights up different colors. I have to
hide it away or else she'll just like play with
it all day. It's such a great buye.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I saw you buying that, and I thought, oh my god,
maybe I should buy that too, So I kind of
regret that I didn't. Next year, Next year, next year.
So we are pumped for next year. Absolutely we want
to get involved in it. Actually next year, somehow we
have to get involved. Yeah, we would love to do that,
So hit us up if you want us. We because
we want you.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yes, that's our slogan from now on. I'm allergic to cats.
Two girls, three cats.
