Doctor Andrew Krumerman,a cardiovascular expert with more than two decades of experience,
has been appointed chair of cardiology at Northwell Northern Westchester Hospital and Northwell Phelps Hospital.

joined Northwell earlier this year as the director of cardiac electrophysiology at NWH.
Prior to joining Northwell,Doctor Krumerman served as senior attending physician at the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care and as a professor of medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine,

Earlier in his career he served as the director of cardiac electrophysiology at NYC HHC Jacobi Medical Center.
Doctor Krumerman’s contributions to cardiology have earned him many prestigious awards,
grants and funded projects,including the Albert Einstein Cardiology Program Director’s Faculty Award and the AECOM Cardiology Research Board Grant for the development of an ECG machine learning database.

including the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology.
In addition,he serves on the board of directors of the CMR Institute,
a non-profit provider of educational solutions for pharmaceutical and medical device professionals.
Doctor Krumerman received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Michigan and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine in Israel.

His postgraduate training included residency at the Montefiore-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in internal medicine;
he also undertook fellowships at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in cardiovascular medicine and at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University in cardiac electrophysiology.
Both Phelps Hospital and Northern Westchester Hospital have been recognized as centers of excellence for cardiac care.
