Some people believe that if God loves them, that's enough to secure their way to heaven. If someone deeply loves you, does that mean they can override your free will? Can they force you to love them back?
A parent may deeply love their adult child, but that child can still choose to rob a bank and end up in jail. The parent loves them, but the child’s actions determined their future. The parents never desired this outcome, nor could they stop their foolish decision. The parent’s great love can’t stop the wheels of justice from sending their child to jail just as God cannot force a person into loving and obeying Him.
Listen as Bill and Annette dig deeper into the topic of God's love for mankind, and man's freewill.
