FORGET IT AND MOVE ON | 02 OCT24
Glory be to God, hallelujah. God is faithful, quick word on the ability and the importance of forgetting the past.
Forgetting is just as important as the ability to remember. We need to remember the word of God. We need to meditate on it day and night. We need to mutter it to ourselves. That's where you have biblical repetition over and over and over because if we lack knowledge, we can be deceived.
However, for those of us who lived a sinful lifestyle and lived an immoral lifestyle or habitually backsliding lifestyle and jacked around —until God healed us of our backsliding, we need the ability —by faith — to forget the past and to press on to our upward calling in Christ Jesus.
We have to identify with the who and what and where we are in Christ Jesus over the shenanigans we did in our past.
If we allow our thought patterns to constantly be going back to the past in what we did and how we felt and who we were before Jesus, then we're going to constantly be hindered by sin consciousness, false guilt because it's was he’s away by The Blood, as well as our personality traits will flare up.
By the act of renewing our mind in forgetting what lies behind, it changes our personality. And that is paramount to for us to fulfill the Will of God for our life.
Once again, knowing the who and the what and the where you are in Christ Jesus is paramount.
There's nothing more evil than to have a an elder, a pastor, a so-called loved one who constantly reminds you of your past and what you used to do, especially when you have repented of it, turned from it, turned from the deeds of the flesh and bore fruit of repentance toward dead works and have faith towards Jesus to remind them of their past— many to do this to keep others in control and from advancing ahead of themselves.
If you love somebody, never remind them of their past, never go back there and help them to forget what lies behind. Remind them they are a new creation. All things have passed away, all things have become new. You have a different spiritual DNA. We must train your mind to think that way.
Let it go by faith forget it and move on in Jesus holy name. Amen.
