Hey, welcome in everybody. It is time for three guys
before the game. It must be mid season four when
we're seeing so we're seeing each other so regularly. Now
it's almost like now it's we're back into the swing
of things, back into the swing of things. Second show
of the week. This is number six, five to one,
(00:29):
and it is the conclusion the second chapter of our
over unders for WV football for this coming season.
Speaker 2 (00:37):

We'll just battle through. Next next, next player out?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
What happened?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Next player up? Didn't matter. Starter screwed it up. Bring
the backup in, run the ball, let's go.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
It was a dreaded corrupt file.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
No operator air really kind of straight fumble. The ball
gave me a nice pitch, nice pitch around the outside, kirchball.
I had blockers in.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Front of me.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
I dropped the football.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
It happens. You know what goes in Ala, You'll get
you back in. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
One of the offensive linemen came behind and didn't fall
on it. But scooped it up and is trying to
run down the field with it and advance the football.
That's where we are right now. That's talk amongst yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Well, I just tell you, as you turn it over
with Rich here, you're gonna have a big problem.

Might not see it. We'll see you, We'll see you.

(02:25):

by Comac's Business Systems, keeping West Virginia's business data safe,
secure and efficient for twenty five years. And in addition
to doing all the IT stuff, they also have every
piece of office equipment known to mankind, like everything. Got that?
Three guys brought to us by Jan Dill's Attorneys at
(02:45):
Law Award winning Jan Dill's just recently named the fastest
growing business in the state of West Virginia. And they
won't take no for an answer. And this is a
big one for Conley's CPA Group. These sponsor spreads on
stats CPAs extraordinary commonly CPA Group providing value beyond numbers.
All right, let's jump on in earlier this week for
(03:08):
those of you scoring at home. I guess we officially
closed the summer series of interviews and we doubled up
with Wren Baker and new WV President Michael Bentzon. That
seems to be well received. You Basically a lot people
are I think we crossed over, is what we did.
I think, well, I think what I'm saying is like
(03:31):
there were non sports fans that also maybe academics, could
I go that far hopey as maybe some on the
border of academics and athletic fans they kind of watched
it too a little bit.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Here's here's what I took away from that. I didn't
think it broke any news per se, but what it did,
what I got from it was athletic Director Wren Baker
is managing this significant transition in college athletics, and he's
planning on doing a lot of big things to try
(04:03):
to generate more revenue. And we talked about what he
wants to do with the colisseum and the naming rights
and other things and all this stuff. I mean, big,
huge changes, the kinds of changes you cannot do unless
you have the full support of the President of the institution.
And certainly got a vibe in that interview and in
(04:26):
other discussions that President Benson is all in on what
Wren is doing. That was I think the most important
takeaway from that interview.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, totally on it.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
You agree.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, if you don't have a hand if you don't
have a handshake agreement with what the administration, what the
athletic department need to do, it causes problems, you know,
And there's some campuses around the country where there's this
battle between those two sides and you never can get
anything really going, and as a result of that, you
don't move forward. But I think than Benson, you know,
(05:00):
I think first and foremost you got Coastal Carolina. They
make it to the College World Series. So he knows
more than anyone what that can do and what that
momentum is. When your athletics teams, your athletic teams do well,
it leads to increased visibility, which ultimately leads to increased
enrollment applications and things like that. And what's the biggest
(05:22):
what's his biggest thing. He's trying to do, get more good.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Most students would you know, would you know anything about
Coastal Carolina were it not for athletics. No, you might
know there's somewhere on the coast, but I mean, you
wouldn't know. So he gets it. He gets what rin
always argues, and that is brad that athletics are a
driving force in the profile of the university.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Yeah, the common refrain around athletics for fifty years has
been the athletics is the front porch of the university.
It's what most people see first before they get into
the academic side. In for the most part, Listen, guys,
it's the hardest thing in college athletics to get. You've
heard say that all the time when it comes to
trying to maneuver the ship that is college sports is
getting continuity and agreement among parties. So you ride that
(06:08):
as long as you can when it's athletic director and
it's president, and it's bored because that's hard to get
the more people that are included in that. Now, adding
a football coach and a basketball coach, and maybe a
baseball coach at some schools, or a women's basketball coach
and getting everybody to agree and be on the same page,
that's hard stuff. So when you have it and everybody's
in in lockstep, you got to ride.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Now, during your couple of decades over at the athletic bar,
when you had your office and the coliseum, Now would
you refer to the administrative side. Downtown. You guys always talk,
you'd always.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Start it all downtown. Would you just say downtown?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
You just say downtown, Like what's downtown? Think about this,
we're going to have we.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Need to call downtown, or we're going to meeting downtown
or we're going downtown.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah you didn't, Stuart Hall. You just sit downtowntown.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
We're going downtown, right, Downtown. That's a class, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, better check with downtown.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
On that, check downtown.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
But it looks like downtown with that, we're putting this
out Downtown.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Good with this downtown and then and then you'd check downtown.
They go, we'll get back to you. There's nine people
we have to talk to. Then we'll get back to you.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So you were saying, like, right now, there is a
great relationship between downtown and the top of mon Boulevard.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Correct. Correct, that's the way it appears that and that's good.
And you need to ride that as long as you
can and make some hay while that's in place.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
A good deal. As I said earlier, this is going
to be the second chapter of our over and unders.
First one went over Well, you hit us with three
on the first visit how many will you have for
us today?
Speaker 4 (07:31):
I've got two? Huh two over well three total. The
third one is a little bit different. I've kind of
stolen from a Super Bowl prop bet that's out there
and have tried to adapt that to the West Virginia season.
I think you'll like it, Okay, hopefully causes some debate.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
You went really old school on the shirt.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
I did you know? I always thinking about this. I
like this first one. This is the origin. I mean,
I don't even have a beard in my character.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Sure here mm hmm. That was designed by Sydney and
Tonic did a great job, the daughter daughter of author
John Antonic, who just wrote a new book that just
came out here on Bobby Boden. But she did.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
She's a student at the time.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah. Now their name isn't even Sydney Antonic anymore. She's
married and she's doing great.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Off to a successful career. But she got her start
like a lot of goofy T shirts.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Like a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Three guys, what normally? I mean nothing, It's a wonderful retro.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Ready he was ready to take a shot at what caused.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
You to pull that out of the dresser today?
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Uh, just an effort to more wear more of our merchandise.
I think, okay, kind of put that out there a
little bit, get this back on the site for sale,
and working on new hats potentially. Oh, I gotta working
on something.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah, I mean we got big full sessions coming up
here with.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
I think we still have some of the ones with
the three G on them, the very popular three G broke.
We got this so anyway, that's it. I want to
wear some.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Merch next week. A lot of stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Really, wait a minute, are.
Speaker 4 (09:06):

case involving the WV players, We're gonna take each of
these as they're presented, Hobby, because I'm not gonna give
him a blanket. Everything's approved, here's we'll just take it
as each one comes up fair enough.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
There they are individual cases, correct, I will which we'll
get into today.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yeah, I'll let you know. But next week, obviously, our
food court begins again on Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
That is approved.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
That is approved, and we're gonna go Friday afternoon three
until ten.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
It's like a three o'clock three thirty till ten.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Until about ten. Homeless Dave has struck a deal that
I'll talk about a little bit with the folks at WVU.
WV has like its own record production music label. We're
gonna get WV students performers that will provide live music
over the food court. REVKEV will be there also, obviously,
(10:02):
And I may have mentioned something well a couple episodes
ago that you guys jumped all over me about.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Well, yes, now this is where it gets tricky because
you presented it and threw it out there with incorrect
information on it. That was my point.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Now we've got correct dates and things, so you can
move forward.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Go ahead.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
You wanted to say it, now you want me to
save it, I'll save it.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Well, i'll save it because we've got a lot to
get to.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Okay, let's jump on. By the way, one last thing
about President Benson.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
And by the way, the food court's open Saturday too.
You didn't mention that it's open Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Well, well you sure it would be. It's game day.
Why wouldn't it be, you.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Know, promotion one on one tell the people when it's open.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Okay, it's so exclusive, we don't tell you when it
tells you.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
We figure you already know.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
All right, So the food courts opened three to two Friday,
nine thirty until one o'clock on Game Thank You nine
thirty to one. Revkev will be there serving all the
great stuff. Listen to this one though he.
Speaker 4 (11:03):

the things he's supposed to say.

your sourdough bread at the food court.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
So you order ahead of time and can pick it
up there there.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
It's a mysterious person that we can't contact and.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I don't I don't. I don't have no reason why
you've been so malicious towards this young girl. She's a nurse.
She saves people lives. She makes great food. I mean,
and you've been on a tack motive because yeah, you
go to episode at eight hundred dot com. You can
order her bread on our website at episode eight hundred

Speaker 4 (12:08):
You just said you were gonna wait.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
No, the hell with it. So we're delighted to say
a couple of things. The food court this year is
going to be sponsored by our friends at Clear Mountain Bank. Awesome,
and we're delighted to have those folks with us, and
they're gonna do a bunch of fun stuff with us.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Little stop right there. It does, just stop right there
that you're a long way from that. You're a long
way from that.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Food content and so join us under promise over Buffalo
Wild Wings six until eight.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
Now, that's Wednesday, Wednesday, then after the twenty seventh, yeah,
then after that Thursday nights before home games hit, right,
and then Utah will be there Thursday from six until late.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
But we'll talk more about that as we get closer,
which you need to remember Wednesday next week, August twenty seventh,
Suncresttown Center, b dubs.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Just come hang out. We're gonna microphones. We're gonna have
a bunch of hoots, a bunch hoots.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
All right, yeah, very good, All right, that wasn't it
wasn't too bad. Only alone were promised a little.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
All right, let's let's rock and roll. First one, go
first one.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
This is the one I fumbled. All my research is
sitting at home on my computer. This will be this
will be back by not nearly as deep numbers, and
none of them may be right. This is great. And
I'm the guy that over promises. Yeah, I over promised
on this one. You're absolutely right, all right here it
is ready.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
One of the questions about this team of the many,
what's the offense look like in terms of run pass breakdown,
Rich's heavy run. We know that, right, sixty percent a minimum.
We're closer to sixty five percent. We know that.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
I don't know why you got to say that about him.
He loves to run it does Does he have the
all time leading receiver in college football history. Yep, he
does what he can do. I don't know why you
gotta jump out here and think he's going to run
the ball.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Last time we saw him here, he's running it pretty well,
worked pretty well. Did the run game work pretty well?
Last time we saw Rich Rodriguez offense?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Hope, worked really well because you had Pat White and
Steve Slayton and a cast of the Yeah, so you run.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
The ball, ran it well, ran it well last year
at jack State.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yes, saw Pat this morning, But I used to run
the football. Saw Pat this morning. Had a weight to Vestoc.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Yeah that's all the rage now.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yeah. So I'm walking around the stadium. He comes down
the other steps from the stadium. He got weighted vest
On and he's walking and he said he's trying he's
trying to get lean trying to get leaner. And there
was this surreal moment for me, hop like I went
this way in front of like the Mylin push car statue,
(16:15):
and Pat went farther down between the hospital and he's
walking out ahead, and I'm looking down at him and like,
this is Pat White, one of the I mean, you know,
one of the greatest, if not the greatest quarterback, one
of the greatest football players in West Virginia football history. Correct,
And here he is about like seven fifteen in the morning,
(16:35):
got his weighted vest on, and he's walking and hospital
employees are walking into to work, and I'm just thinking
to myself, like they're walking by, like he did, nugget,
you have no idea, like what that guy did to
make that building right there?
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Erupt erupt.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
It was.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
It was also people weren't stopping him for autographs this
morning either they had no idea.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Was he was traveling incognito. I mean, I don't think
you think you'd see Pat White in the weighted vest
He just kind of got just walking down a sidewalk.
He didn't have his uniform on. It's been twenty years. Yeah,
I just thought it was like a wonderfully weird moment.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Over under two and a half miles at Pat walk
this morning.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Over, yeah, over, you know him, he's gonna get down,
He's gonna get after it.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Probably did some sprints in there.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
I think he probably did.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Yeah, you had an eligibility left.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Well nowadays he might I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
I mean, maybe put him in that court case. Make
him the fifth defended, fifth plaintiff.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Number five gets a number five gets a.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Brad we I mean he only played four years.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Exactly.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Yeah, so some interests this year because Rich likes to
likes to run recent vintage rint. Rich likes to run
the ball right. But he even said might be the
best group of slots he's ever had slot receivers. Said
he might be even installing some more pass plays than
he thought he would be. Even said might throw it
(17:55):
a little more than.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
He thought he would.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
This is such a bait job.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
But you don't exactly know who the quarterback is going
to be. Got multiple quarterbacks, but all of them can
throw it. Yes, so you think I'm going right now,
you're already trying to calculate in your head.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
I know what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Yeah, you think I'm doing run past percentage.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
You're not doing that.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
No, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
I'm doing this. West Virginia's leading receiver will have over
under seven hundred yards in receiving this season. Over under
seven hundred yards. West Virginia's leading receiver context. Some numbers
that may or may not be accurate. The first, the first,
the first tour of duty for Rich here three times
(18:38):
that happened pretty special, guys, though Chris Henry did it twice.
Darius Renad did it once in the last season.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
What were the you don't remember?
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, Henry had over one thousand and two thousand and
three at eight seventy two in two thousand and four.
Darius just got over that number seven thirty three in
two thousand and seven, which tells you what a ridiculous
offense that was had two thousand years Rusher still threw
it to a guy for over seven hundred yards. So
three times here at WVU happened once at Michigan in
his three seasons there happened well in one, two, three,
(19:13):
four seasons at Arizona, but five players because he had
two do it. In twenty twelve, Rich kind of went
back to his Glendale days, are throwing it a little
more in Arizona?
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Well, he had, but he had Cleil Tate right.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Well last season on New Solomon, Right, is that.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
The ga on New Solomon last season? Cam Vaughan current
WV receiver Cam Vaughan he's did squad here he is,
and he went over this number last season in a
run heavy team. Pay attention. They also had a six
seventy four yard receiver in twenty twenty three, right up
against it. So roughly nine times nine seasons in nineteen
(19:52):
it's gone over this number. But ten players in those
nineteen seasons have done it, including the two at Arizona.
So the question is or under? West Virginia's leading receiver
has seven hundred yards, not even over or under?
Speaker 1 (20:08):
This is not even close?
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Do you want to go first?
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Not even close?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Okay, under reason I was.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
I thought a wonderful question for you, Brad would have
been how many passes caught behind the line of scrimmage.
That's what I think they're going to You're gonna see
a lot. Now those are passes, I understand.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Those are passes. And when you when you scamper up
with those slots, that counts as receiving yard. Now you
know that right now? Now, Hoppy, when you throw the
ball and someone catches it, now it counts as receiving yards.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Or if it's a receiver, the receiver comes running around you,
you got to toss.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Now, that was a receiving yard. So he's going way under,
but he's about to build the case for there's gonna
be some nice passes that are ball controlled that you
can get some runs off.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Okay, I think that you basically tried to bait us
into making a pass seem like it was this. I
think you're going to see a lot of that. I
think Rich is going to attack the living heck out
of the perimeter, whether that be a slot, whether that
be a running back. But that's a good one. That
is a really good question.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
He just did it.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
I'm going under.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
I'm going under two because you know, you got Gallaghery,
you got.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
You got Vaughn, you got Bray, you got Bray, you
got you got a man man Singleton that caught almost
eighty balls.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Bowie. You got a lot of different guys. I'm gonna
think the most.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
Got some receiving tight ends that you like.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I think the multiplicity of receivers will keep it under seven.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
And you've got not You got a depth question at
running back.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Here, So I'm going under because, yeah, you got some
depth a receiver, but do you have a guy you
know that's gonna be consistently get you eight catches game
or something like that. And also you don't have proven
started quarterbacks that all just get back there and whipping around,
(22:08):
even if they just throw it laterally to the guy
in the slot. And talk about Chris Henry going over
seven hundred yards Chris him was a freak.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Well, I was going to say both guys he referenced
both played in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
NFL guys, So I'm under, I'm under seven hundred.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
You know cam Von's on the shroster, right.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
I understand.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Did you get about seven hundred last ye?
Speaker 4 (22:26):
Yeah, I had almost nine hundred. Thanks for asking.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Okay, what are you going with a big boy?
Speaker 4 (22:30):
Well, because you two went under, I'll go over.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Did you want to go over?
Speaker 4 (22:34):
You know my stance on these, you really probably should
take under on all of them. Yeah, that's really the
safest number play throughout. You'll probably end up with a
higher percentage. I'll go over.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
You feel good about it? Or what do you think?
Speaker 4 (22:45):
I don't know. There are a lot of different guys.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Can I do an?
Speaker 4 (22:48):
I don't think you're gonna have to throw it a
little bit here. I think he's gonna have to throw it.
He's got some weapons or receiver. And again one of
the guys that we referenced doing this is sitting over
there on the roster.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
I'm gonna throw in a dendum out at you to
your question like chapter like ex. Child row three, three
dudes between four fifty and six fifty.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
That might be that might actually may be harder to do,
could be it might be okay, all right, under under
over under under over, I'll take over to be different
air Rodriguez coming back. Let's throw it this one.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Subtly.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
I like this one because this is we could go
for a whole two shows on this. I've returned to
the quarterback position. I think you have to. I think
this has to be in the discussion as an over under.
It would have been uh negligent to not include it.
Sure quarterbacks to take a snap during the twenty twenty
five season. This does not count if Rodney Gallagher happens
(23:57):
to line up in a wild cattish. This is the
only guys listened as a quarterback on the roster. Okay
quarterbacks to take a snap during the twenty twenty five season.
We'll set the number at three and a half. Over
or under were talking about Nico Jalen Henderson, Max Brown,
Scotty Fox, Khalil Wilkins, Scott Keene. Easy over three and
(24:19):
a half. But let me give you some context. Last
year Rich played three, twenty twenty three played six, twenty
twenty two, played three. Here's what may surprise you. Surprise
me went back and looked at his first time here
first season. How many quarterbacks do you think played? And
I know you don't have the luxury of researching, I
(24:40):
wouldn't have got this.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Brad three, he's probably he might have been four.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Three. Can you name the third?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
No?
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Because you know the two Rashid and Brad Lewis. Can
you name the third? This is a hard one. No,
Dereck Jones.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yeah, Miami started. Did you start at Miami.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Two thousand and two? Played two? Can you name the
other one? Besides Rashid? These are some turn back the
clock name Yet.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
It is so the next year after Brad left.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Just because Rashid the stage pretty much injury free and
went through two thousand and two.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Stop looking it up.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Stop looking it up. That's that's not even any fun
to do it. You had you were starting to two
thousand and four, went three. Here's what really got me,
Pat bursts on the scene in two thousand and five.
So you know you played two with bedn Eric and Pat.
Did you know you played a third in that season?
(25:34):
And double bonus points if you get the third quarterback
to play in the two thousand and five season initial
c h No, he was earlier. He played in three
and four. You're thinking of Charles Jis. But two thousand
and five there was a well known, very popular name.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Oh Jr.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
Jr. House. Yeah, yeah, it was the third.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Quarterback got in there a little bit late.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
Two thousand and six. Again, you got one of the
greatest to ever do it in Pat White. So you
probably only needed one quarterback, right, hopey right, probably played one.
He just got Pat White, Rant White forever getting the ball.
Played three in two thousand and six, Pat Jarrett and
Markel Harrison.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Markel Harrison again, we need to look this one up.
Greatest drive he went on a ninety drive. He started it.
He started a No, he was outside of the stadium.
He started on a grass practice. Over on the practice.
They came through the silver lot, through the building by
the weight room, and then got on the field on
a ninety nine yard drive.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
Yeahlieve two thousand and seven you had Pat just running wild, right,
great season for Pat should have played for a world
championship that season, so he probably only used one quarterback, right, yeah,
but only it was undisputed world champion quarterback played four
that season. Besides, Jared played for that season when you
had the undisputed best quarterback in the country.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Well, he probably ran away on some games, so late
in the games guys got on the field, right probably
who where were they.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Over under three and a half quarterbacks to take a
snap this season?
Speaker 1 (27:05):
Waiting? Who are the four that played that year?
Speaker 4 (27:08):
The four y already? Pat, jb bedn Erik and Markel.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Oh okay, okay, okay, I got you, I got you. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
But I just thought that was interesting in the three
seasons that you had Pat as the primary starter, and
I know in five it wasn't from the beginning, you
played an average of what is that ten in three
years over three quarterbacks when you had a great one
in Pat White.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
So what's your number here? Three and a half, three
and a.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Half this year Nico, Jalen, Max Brown, Scotti, Fox, Khalil Wilkins.
You probably could have put the number at four and
a half. And I had an interesting discussion here.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
I'm over, I'm over three and.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
A half, hoppy, I'm going under. Wow, four is it?
Speaker 2 (27:47):
That's a lot? And look it, listen, don't I don't
think you have somebody like, oh, it's very clear this
is the guy. He's gonna be the guy a year
and uh, you know we're gonna let other guys get
in here if a game gets away or something like that.
Four is a lot, man, That is a lot unless
you have a serious injury or injury or two. So
(28:08):
barring that, I would go under. I can see a third.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
And also they might play four in the first game.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Yeah, you don't even need a serious injury, you just
need a ding.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Well, how about leads?
Speaker 1 (28:18):
How about leads? If you have a big lead against
Robert Morris, you don't. You don't give Scotty.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
You want to play guys. You have guys on the
roster you want to play on they're not here to say,
guess four games.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
If you have a big lead against Robert Morris, Okay,
you don't. You're not trying to get the third guy, reps.
You're trying to get the first and the second guy.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
This year might be different.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
He's going the other way conventional wisdom.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
I agree with that. I don't know that that's the case.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Here, he continues to say he wants He keeps telling
the team, I want to play everybody. He keeps telling him,
I want to play eighty plus guys. And I was talking, okay, listen,
I was talking to him yesterday. I was talking to
him yesterday.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
All right, okay, I've a response to that, But go ahead.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Okay, what like, because he goes fast on offense, that
sometimes is going to lead to quick drives that sometimes
is going to put your defense out there a lot.
So his whole mindset on that so that he stays
true to the way he thinks he needs to win games.
He plays a ton of guys on defense. He wants
everyone ready to go. He said defense. Yeah, he plays
(29:24):
a ton of guys on defense because they don't so
they don't get tired out. So he's going to play
a lot of players. He truly wants to play over
eighty guys against Robert Morris.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Oh okay, here's my pushback on that. There's a play
by play job open, and you, Tony and four other
people are going to compete for the job. And I say, look,
you're all going to get a chance. Everybody's going to
get a chance to do play by play? What does
that mean? Everybody's vested? Everybody's in. If I just said
two guys are going to play, so you guys are like,
(29:56):
what the heck? Man? So that is a way I'm
not questioning his motivat That is a way of trying
to guarantee that everybody's still buying in because everybody thinks
they're going to get a chance to play.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
To a degree, yes, yes, but that's why he's telling
everybody he wants That's why he keeps telling these guys.
He wants eighty guys to play. He wants everyone to know, like,
you're going to get on the field, and when you
get on the field, you're going to be given an opportunity.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Can you play eighty guys? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:22):
You could.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Over two and a half quarterbacks played in the Robert
Morris Game.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Over. I look, I took under you guys, do what
you're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
I took on Robert Morris game Robert Morris game over over.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
I agree. So you can have three right off the board,
then you just need one other guy for the rest
of the season.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah, one hundred percent. I'm totally okay.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I don't get mad. I just took it on now.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
I feel sorry for you, but I'm not mad. No,
I think that that's a pretty good question.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Oh this is a good question.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
Well, you have to ask it, right, we ask it,
and we do that in most years. I think if
there's ever been a year to ask it, because again,
go down those guys that I said, who that is?
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I mean, you can forget the most.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
You could almost build a compelling case as we sit
in August, given everything he said, and given how injuries
happened to that position, and given that you're going to
run the quarterback a lot more than maybe you have
saved for the last couple of years with Garrett, and
we saw what happened with Garrett last year. How many?
How many guys you maybe an interesting question would have
been how many guys start at quarterback this season?
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Would be a good one. That's a good one, right,
there would have been a hard one that would have
been a good.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
That's a I mean you'd probably have to set the
number at two and a half on that. I might
go over on that. Don't forget a number of guys
to start a game this season, Take one or two
of those? Would you go over on that? Which number
got number of quarterbacks to start? Number of different quarterbacks
to start a game this season, it's the number over
under two and a half. WHOA, So do three different
players start at quarterback for West Virginia this season in
(31:51):
a game under?
Speaker 1 (31:55):
I hope under, but over wouldn't surprise me?
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Yeah? I might, I might take over and don't forget.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Take six quarterbacks, hope they're all successful. And take two
that come into a game and fumble the snap or
throw a pick and you never see him again.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Mm hmm. Rich, I mean you don't if you're a
true if you're a true really person that gets into
this really really detailed, like remember everything. I mean, Rich
puts some people. Rich puts some people in witness protection. Uh,
there's there's some people that went into the witness protection
program for not doing the right thing. He is like God,
(32:32):
never heard from again.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
And it's hard for everybody to do the right thing
all the time.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, yeah, I think he gets that. He understands that.
But if if it's egregious in his opinion, if it's
something that can continues to be repeated after correction and correction.
Then he'll eventually settle you off, put you out there,
send you over to the food court. Call it a day, right,
three guys before the game would love to see you
(32:58):
walk into the stadium of the Mountaineers. Go Mark can
make that happen for you. Sign up for the Mountaineer
Man Trip. It's super easy to do. All you have
to do is drive into one of the girl marts
park then go into it. Don't just go straight in
and take your phone out. Hit him up on the
QR code and register to be part of the Mountaineer
Man Trip. It would be a lifetime memory. Before you
(33:20):
get to wave the kids up at Children's Hospital. Walk
in by the way. The other day, I was walking
around the stadium. They had taken the coal that they
get they touched. Yeah, dude was a dude was main
shining up, shining it up, shining it up for the
coming season. So the coal is the coal is very
shining that.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
That's an all time experience. If you're a fan, I
think you get to go on the field too for
a bit. Yeah, you walk all the way, stuff, you
get all you get.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Swag Ge started quarterback walking walking over number of fans
to start at quarterback this season over walking in with
the team.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
Hop, that's it. That's an all time. That's a great one. Yeah,
that's a lot of fun to be able to do that.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah right, yeah, Oh it's fantastical and crowds going. That's
that's say something you always remember.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
It's an all timer.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
So you just go into the story, scan the QR
codes you're in the store, and then you just register
right there to you.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yeah, and while you're there, you can try to get
a hold of one of those a fifteen pound I
think they did. They've got one M and M. Now.
Now most of the time eminem's come like that size.
Someone told me, I haven't confirmed this one down the
flat Woods one. There's one Eminem that you can get
in there weigh six pounds as of a hookcut like
you come in like it's like a medicine ball.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
You know what else you might want to do while
you're there?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
What I mean?
Speaker 4 (34:29):
You could also just go in and snag one of
those lottery tickets. You see what the power balls up to. No,
it's like over six hundred million. Now you could line
up you win that thing as a fan, you line
up and is that right Texas Tech, you're gonna drop
ninety million on players. Guess working churchvill Guest what we're
gonna do.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
I'm gonna give you three hundred million dollars.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
I'm not going to see my guys up at the
postal plastic gomart later buy one of those things.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
You w Yeah, it'd be awesome. Well, okay, if you
if you won, I'm going to hit it. Just start.
Go into RIM's office.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Here we can start to not having a national championship done.
Here we go, Boom, there's a big bag of money.
Go win.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
There you go. Would you give three hundred meg?
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Well, I guess you're the financer. I have a high
level finance that lives in the hou household. I need
to run.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
I can hear her. I can hear her head exploding
right now.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Three guys strongly suggest that you hydrate. Well, if you're
coming to the game next week, you don't know how
hot it's going to be. How do you do that? Well, Hell,
you got to get a Comax water system. Wherever you work.
Tell your tell you, wherever you work, get your boss going, Look,
we need water. We need to hydrate all week long
at Comac's Business Systems. Right now they're introducing the I
twelve water cooler. Sleek design meets cutting edge technology. What
(35:41):
am I talking about? Hot cold water daily ice production
of forty four pounds plus eight and a half pounds
of additional storage. It's the deal Hydrate workplace wherever it
might be, contact Comax Business Systems, Comax WV dot com.
And staying on the topic of water, the marine sales.
(36:01):
Now your weather's really going to get good because are hot, hot,
hot hot starting to slip away a little bit and
now you get into those days that are like heaven Lee.
So lou Wendel Marine Sales. Check them out. The premier
pontoon boat dealer in the state of West Virginia. They've
been at it for over forty years. Take a look inside.
They got anything and everything that you could need for
(36:22):

they got every kind of thing in the raft. I mean,
look at life preservers. What do you need rope got it.
And then those beautiful boats, those absolutely beautiful and of

Those avalon boats made in the state of Michigan, one
(36:42):
hundred percent made in the United States of America. Check
them out, Lou Wendell. If you're a boating person, they'd
love to talk with you, and they've been doing it
well for over forty years.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
Recliner in the front, there's a nice seat. Go out
for a little lead. Check out the leaves here in
fall boating. M hm, the recliner front recliner ins. Can
we go back to that picture and right at the
front of the boat, hobby.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
To go back to that guy.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
It's like a lounger.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Yeah, it's kind of like a kickback right there, right
in the front, see it.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yeah, you just go back in that thing happen nicer
than my living.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Room, it is.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
It's a nice that's a great place to readable. Book
there wirre in the middle lake.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
I think great.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Yeah. Absolutely, Read Mike Florio's new book. It's on Amazon
this week.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
I know I gotta go get that.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Yeah. Antoni's book, John Antoni's Bobby Boden book. Are you
said you had something else special that you were giddy over?
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Third line? If it's giddy over, it's just different, just
a different way to do it. The over under here
stole it from a Super Bowl prop hoppy, of which
there's there's hundreds. Yes, So this one is the jersey
number of the player that has the most total touchdowns
this season for West Virginia. The jersey number over under
(37:46):
for the player with the most total touchdowns. The over
under number is set at eleven. So, well, the player
for West Virginia has the most total touchdowns. Where a
jersey of numbers, I guess you could be zero, zero
through nine, nine or zero through ten or will they
wear one that is greater than eleven?
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Can you repeat that?
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Yeah, the jersey number of the player with the most
total touchdowns for West Virginia. So basically, here's what you're doing.
Here's a sampling of some of those numbers under eleven.
If you like the under on that hobby you're playing with,
Jaheem White, Right, there's your there's your horse, Ty Edwards,
Man Man Singleton, Jaden Bray, Max Brown, Gerrod Booie. So
(38:32):
a lot of receivers. Jahim's really the workhorse there, and
maybe Ty Edwards if he wins his case and he's
eligible the over. Oh and I'm sorry, okay.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
All right, so I'm sorry one more time. The question is.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
Over under jersey number for the player that leads West
Virginia in the most total touchdowns, and.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
That I'm gonna go Nico, so that I'm under under
under I'm under because I'm going Nico. Because you've got
got number eight. You got pass and run possibilities.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
Okay, let's let's change it on the fly. Ready, Okay,
I'm gonna change it on the fly. Let's make the
number seven and a half so it separates Jahem and Nico. Okay,
So now Nico's in the over category and you're getting
Look what you have in the over category. You don't
just get Nico. You also get a Jalen Henderson. You
also get Khalil Wilkins. You also get Scottie Fox. You
(39:30):
also get Rodney Gallagher pac Man Fox. Sincere powers? Do
you or h for a quarterback? Your counting is rush
and is throwing touchdown pass?
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Huh? Oh, it's over. It's over.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
Last season, Trey Stewart had twenty six for Jacksonville State.
Huff barely got him at twenty nine, and Huff had
an unbelievable season.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah, I mean he was, but he ran for like
fifteen hundred yards or something crazy teen hundred.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Yards at Jacksonville State in twenty twenty three. Richest quarterbacks
only threw for six total touchdown passes.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
But they ran for like eleven or twelve.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Uh no, yes, yeah, they had double digits that year
two thousand and one. Here, which is probably the most
similar where you have a known quantity at running back.
That was Avon Coburn in twenty twenty one and you
were trying to put a new quarterback in and Brad
Lewis Brad through for seven touchdowns, ran for one and eight.
Avon led the team in touchdowns that year just with
(40:30):
rushing nine.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Yeah, that was a yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
But remember if you take the if you take the
quarterback side of things, and we're and they're playing a
bunch of them, those numbers are going to get split
a little bit over. So if Nico and Henderson play,
or if Scotty Fox and Henderson play, there may be
some splitting there. Okay, So basically you're it's it's a
Jaheem White against the field, is kind of what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Yeah, you're telling me for me for me to be
over all Nico has to do is be responsible for
either rushing or throwing for eleven touchdown passes. No a
total touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
No, it's just the numbers, the jersey number. It's not
the total touchdowns you get. You get the jersey number.
So you didn't listen. It's the jersey number of the
player that leads in total touchdowns. So you get if
you take under, you get every player under. I changed
the number. The numbers the number seven and a half.
(41:31):
So any jersey that's less than seven and a half,
Jehem wears number one. Ty Edwards is slated to wear two.
Singleton slated to wear jersey number three. You get that
collection of players. If any of them lead in total
touchdowns and you took the under, you win that bad.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Then I go. Then I go all over, not over?
You want all the quarterbacks I want? Yeah, I'm going
over because that's the field and Nico.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
Yeah, but what if Nico splits time?
Speaker 2 (41:56):
I understand, I understand, now, I got it. I'm still
going over because.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
It's the field. Don't try to change the guy's opinion.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
I'm just where are you?
Speaker 2 (42:04):
What are you doing? I know you're banking on Jaheim having.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
Now that I mean that the safer play is to
do what you guys said over, and you take all
the quarterbacks in the right field, right, But again, if
there's some split time, if there's a quarterback injury. Now,
if Jahem gets injured, you're probably out of the mix there.
Because it's Jaheem and basically receivers, it's going to be
hard for them to get that number.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Right.
Speaker 4 (42:26):
I'd like to have one more running back in there
because you don't know ty Edwards situation. But over is
probably the play. But again, if Jaheim is healthy and
and gets after it, that this offense would be great
for him. And there's not a lot of depth at
that position. They're going to need a running back to
run the football.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
So you're saying, you see Jaheim on a reasonably good
year and he stays healthy as getting running for one
to two touchdowns a game.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
That's that's awful hot one. Yeah, if you could get it,
it'd be a really good year. But if you could
get and Riches had that, I mean I could go
back through them as Riches had guys with double digit
touchdowns most every year that he was here, So that's
not unusual to have double digit touchdowns. The quarterbacks are
going to get some. You're gonna get down close and
he's gonna sneak it in with quarterback, but you might
(43:17):
have multiple quarterbacks playing, which could keep the numbers of
the quarterback in line. Running back, there has yet to
be another running back that has emerged as a as
a guy that everybody goes, oh yeah, he's gonna get
a lot of carries. It's been simply Jaheim, and they're
trying to find that second guy.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
I've been thinking lately, been walking thinking what happens this
time of year. We get caught in our August optimism
and we begin to make projections and we say them
so many times they become fact yeah, fair where we're
just like, oh yeah, it's a given that's going to happen.
The one thing we can't forget it's still your one
(43:59):
and it's a brand new offensive line, and until they
play through several games, you're just not going to know
what it is. Is this line going to be able
to get push if the two if the two guards
in the center can get push right from the beginning,
(44:19):
including the pit game, things are going to be just
going to go swimmingly.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
Yeah, agree, if you go you got to run an
inside to be able to pop outside exactly.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
So if you're getting some form of like consistent push
up front and you can run that thing, then Rich's
palette is completely open to every color. If not, then
as a staff, they're going to have to look at
and go like, Okay, we can't get the push we need.
We need to do X, Y and Z. Now there's
other things to do. But that will be a huge
(44:48):
determining factor as to what the offense is and what
it will become productivity wise.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
Greed, Now I will I will add to that though,
along those same lines of thinking. If that line struggles
and it can't pass protect and it simply becomes a
throwing at parallel situation, well defenses are going to figure
that out pretty quick too, and it may suppress some
of the touchdown passing numbers.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Two.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
So yeah, the offensive line is critical in all of
these But again you go back to that first year
here when the offense wasn't fully installed. Now, I think
it's further advanced than it was in two thousand and one,
and I think you have many more guys that fit
this system than he did when he took over in
two thousand and one. That's where the portals helped you,
so I wouldn't think it would be suppressed that much.
But that's a factor too.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Can I give you an over under?
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Well? Sure?
Speaker 2 (45:33):
Over and a number of times Mountaineer Nation, along with
the team will sing Country Roads at the end of
the game. Three and a half, home and away, no
home home only home only three.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
And a half, six games, three and a half.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
Brad, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
Alltn't prepared to do my season predictions today, but.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
We don't have to. Then we don't have to.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
Over, I'm hell with it. I'm going over and everything
to know. Okay, Over, you know one thing on West
Virginia's pass protection, I'll say this, that offensive line won't
see anything in a game like it sees every day
in practice, in regard to the frequency of pressure that
it gets in practice. Because as we've talked about, a
(46:26):
good bit like this is not a scripted deal that
Rich says, Hey, in this period, I want you to
show me this, this, and this, like it's like for
real football all the time. Like he just keeps he
dials Zach ally dials up and calls whatever he wants
to do on defense, and Rich is doing whatever he
wants to do on offense. So it's real game situations
(46:46):
and the frequency that West Virginia snaps plays off that
offensive line has been just absolutely for lack of a
better term, like bum rushed the entire preseason. It should
it should help them when real games happen that they
should be in a pretty good at least free familiarity
(47:06):
with handling a ton of pressure.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
Agreed, And that is extremely valuable, Tony. You know what
the difference is on that, though, is when you play
a team it's got a guy.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
No question, that's it.
Speaker 4 (47:16):
You did a good that's a good number right there. Oh,
thank you, Because if you're foreign two at home, that's
a that's a hell of a home season this year,
it is you've done a nice job at home. If
this group gets to foreign to at home.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Yeah, I know everyone's looking at the first number. Everyone's
looking at the first month of the season, right, And
to state the obvious, they do play games in October
and November. Yeah, but no, no, I'm just saying, like
this team, this team will get better as it goes. Again,
I'm thrilled of the way the season is. Schedule opens, Yes, thrilled.
(47:52):
Couldn't have come better at a better time to be
doing it this way, but will get They'll get better.
Speaker 4 (47:58):
It's wild though, you got you got some question marks
of teams coming in, Like, everybody's back on the Utah
train again, yes after I'm not sure, but I think
they were awarded the Big Twelve Championship Trophy last year.
The season begins that right, and I think I think
your Mark flew out there, may have given it to
them ceremony. I think that happened. That didn't turn out
that way, but I think they did get it. So
everybody's back on the Utah train again. TCU returning quarterback.
(48:21):
They can they can do some damage. What's Colorado this year?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Zero?
Speaker 4 (48:25):
What happens to them?
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Zero?
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Heisman Trophy winner and your starting quarterback? That was really
really productive. Now they brought in a ton of dudes, right,
they brought guys and maybe Dion has it stabilized. That'll
be fascinating to watch that circus come to town on
November eighth. I can't wait for that. That's going to
be a blast. And then even Texas Tech, you know
Texas Tech with that unbelievable payroy. I heard a stat
yesterday that they signed more four stars this round. Than
(48:50):
the rest of the Big Twelve combined. What I mean,
they just spent a ton of money hockey. So what
Texas Tech looked like by the time we get to November,
if they have underachieved compared arrative to expectations and expectations
are through the roof, this is a has to be
a playoff team, should compete for a Big twelve title,
should probably be a playoff team with that payroll that
they have. What if Texas Techi acts a few up
(49:10):
in there and it's chaos and they have coaching hot
seat implications and they come limping in here me, you
never know thoat schedule.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
I don't I don't disagree that they're either going to
come in high stepping or they're going to be a
team that everyone's talking about as being under perfect. And
who's the next coach and who's the next coach anyway,
And that's.
Speaker 4 (49:30):
A challenge for Joey McGuire. I mean, that's awesome. You
got to whatever your payroll was this year and you
just go bought everybody. But the flip side for a
coach is okay, you better go win with that hop.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
And absolutely, but also you're coming I mean that's the like,
where's West Virginia's head going to be at the last
game of last game of the season. And previous to that,
you just went out to uh, you know, the fourth
time zone to play a game playoffs.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
You have a week off between those.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
So yeah, we've been focused so much on this first month,
which the first month is we know about games two
and three, hile you on the road, little tricky situation
going hand on your business and you got that massive
game against Pitt Kansas. I feel like Kansas is sneaking
around the chicken coop here to use a game day
phrase there. Jalen Daniels was not good last year, and
we saw that at West Virginia. He had massive turnover
(50:14):
issues early. But that's a that's a creative offense. That's
a good team. That might be one. I don't worried
about Jalen Daniels popping back with it now.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
See I think West Virginia might have stolen that game
from the Jayhawks last year.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
Did steal it, But you had one stolen from you
against Pitt. I mean you had that hair game too.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
That was on the other night.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
Oh, they've been playing the heck guy.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
That was on the other night.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
That is a little foreshadowy.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
What what do you mean as we said.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
Why why you're showing? Why you're showing West Virginia.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Pitt I I happened to pun that like the last
five minutes. Oh it was I think I texted you
were brad.
Speaker 4 (50:53):
They just swear, didn't it just needed to tackle hole
steam once in the thing once wtem was just one
block on the edge on that CJ. Donalds.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Why at Milan penalty was absolutely horrifically.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
Horse So what about the pass in appearance garbage? I
mean unless he was holding him prior to the catch
because there were three guys. There were three guys around
him when he caught the ball.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
But you know who we needed to ref that game,
Jen Dills. You know why attorneys at law won't take
no for an answer. Like someone said, it's a penalty.
You know what Jen Dill's is saying, No, that's nothing,
taking it for an answer, no penalty there, Jan with
this guy in flag went like, no, God, no penalty.
Jen Dill's attorneys at Law nationwide firm practicing it in
(51:35):
all fifty states, with clients in all fifty states, based
right here, begun here in the state of West Virginia
specialists in VA benefits veterans benefits. So if you are
someone that you know needs help dealing with the government
when it comes to VA benefits or Social security disability claims,
by all means, call them before you even start the process.
(51:58):
They will be the guy that you need to walk
you through the multitude of steps and obstacles that people
face when they file these claims. Contact Jan Dill's attorneys
at law wherever you may be. As I said, they're
doing business in all fifty states.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
Can I do I have an obvious observation if there's time.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Are you doing something like copy it's a podcast. We
don't have any time?
Speaker 2 (52:23):
Go ahead, obvious observation. Jamory Robinson will not take the
field for West Virginia this year.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
Yeah, it would be. It would be the stunner.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
It was going to be uphill anyway. Even though there
are as Brad talks about all the time, there are
no rules. You know, there's twenty years to play ten,
there's five years to play seven.
Speaker 4 (52:46):
Every rule I would agree that it put it in
a long shot category.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (52:51):
But there's also every rule. You want to show me
that the nc is going to throw out here, there's
an exception to that rule absolutely, So why they arbitrarily
putting this in place? Now, I don't know what they are.
Academic stuff, yeah, even the academic stuff. There's exceptions to
that all the time.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
But I think that and you're right, there's exceptions all
the time. And you say, why why not these guys,
these four guys. But when on the hearing yesterday, when
NCUAA comes in and goes, oh, by the way, Robinson
has an academic issue from UTSA, Well.
Speaker 4 (53:19):
Then why wasn't he already ruled academically an eligible Well,
I don't I don't know if that's an issue. Why
didn't they rule that? So is it an issue or
is it not an issue?
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Well, the nc DOUAA is saying that it is.
Speaker 4 (53:30):
Well why now?
Speaker 2 (53:32):
I the point I'm trying to make your honor is
that the fact that it that they came in yesterday
when it clearly has been an issue for if it's
an issue, it was an issue. Okay, I agree with you.
But the fact that they came in yesterday in a
hearing involving you know, the JUCO issue and played that card.
(53:53):
Oh by the way, he has an academic issue that
tells you, like, for whatever reason, the nc DOUBAA is
going to the mats on this one with west Via
and on Jamoy Robinson who they are.
Speaker 4 (54:01):
But that's it. That's just odd. If he's academically ineligible,
why didn't you tell him that before?
Speaker 2 (54:05):
He would understand?
Speaker 4 (54:06):
Hecaud I just turned pro I understand passed on an
opportunity to go to the NFL to come here because
he was not ruled academically.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
And Oliden, I know you're being provocative with me. I'm
just trying to make the point.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
I'm just trying to make you. I'm not trying to
make the point too.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
I don't okay, you're.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Taking the NCAA's position.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
So young man's he said, the young Man's not eligis,
but I'd like to know why I'm not taking I
think the NCAA is screwed up, just like it's so arbitrary.
Speaker 4 (54:28):
It cuts my overall point.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
It's arbitrary.
Speaker 4 (54:31):
I think that's what the argument is too, is like,
what are you guys talking about? Why is the rule
apply now.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
Randomly because they like roll the dice, but the fact
that they brought in the academic issue tells you that,
for whatever reason, they're gonna make a big deal out
of this so obvious observation. Unfortunately, because you could use
a pass rusher, I think it's highly unlikely that Jamoy
Robinson takes a fuel for West Virginia.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Period Hoppies obvious observation. So I checked the numbers.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
I'll just go right to the numbers.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
Are over under segment. Who's been brought to us by
the folks at Conley CPA group. They probably don't take
no for an answer either. Today ain't playing around super
nice guys, super nice well people. She's not just guys
over this thing. It's not like an old boys club
over there. I mean, I've got Sam over there and
she's fantastical, wonderful. So Condley CPEG are providing value beyond numbers.
(55:30):
They are. They've stood the test of time, much like
Lou Wendell forty plus years they've been going after it.
So congratulations to them. Any kind of number work you
need to do. And what we really like is the
fact that they can help you. If you want to
outsource your accounting for your business, they can do that.
They can outsource your CFO services and again like really
(55:50):
good business consultants. You run stuff by them and say,
hey what about this, what about that? Really good So
visit Conley CP group if you are in need of help,
if you're coming to a game, or just like you
get a hanker and for some good food. The folks
at Tutors have those three new sauces currently ready to go.
(56:12):
We talked about him a little bit. New President seemed
to be pretty interest I thought he was. He was
leaning having honey seracha.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
That's a bit.
Speaker 4 (56:19):
They all look good. Yeah, they it was Carolina Gold,
that was one of them.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Right, Yeah, they're going honey saracha. They're going with that,
Carolina Gold, going with sweet teriyaki or you know the
old standard, the old originals. So if you're if you're
into barbecue sauces and you like to get those at Tutors,
by all means, those look very very tasty. And again
I need to get confirmation if they're gonna if they're
(56:44):
gonna say yeah, I need to know if they're gonna
like next week go like okay, if you're coming for
the game, like here's the special if you go to
a Tutors on your way and we'll find that out
by Monday.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
A three guys special potentially efforting.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
I might stop at the tutors in Faydeville today today.
You're on the road today, on the road today, you
know the one of Fayeville.
Speaker 1 (57:04):

middle of the road.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
Start to get one of those check out.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Well that's not in the middle roads, right off to
the side, but at the intersection.
Speaker 4 (57:10):
Send us a picture.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
Man, Okay, we'll do you know what I mean? Okay,
Martin just got a.
Speaker 4 (57:14):
Slim gin or giant recie. Come yeah, those Powerball tickets?
Speaker 1 (57:19):

Speaker 4 (57:24):

Speaker 2 (57:29):

Speaker 1 (57:35):

Speaker 4 (57:41):

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Hey, three guys, my family and I moved from Clarksburg
to Lubbock in the end of June. We've been adjusting
here except for the all of the texts stuff everywhere
in my face. This is super neat. Anyways, we had
an open house at their new school two weeks ago.
We noted a bunch of college flags hanging in the hallways.
We decided to go through every hallway to see if
we could find a West Virginia flag. You know, they're
(59:12):
not going to find that, right, they're not going to
find that in Lubbock, a flying WV flag in their school,
over two thousand miles away from everything they knew. It
was a great way to start their new chapter. Next
time you all come out to Lubbock, we'd love to
meet up for breakfast or something. Now that my wife
doesn't hate this podcast anymore, Okay, so we can we
show the picture guys of the Look at that in
(59:33):
the Lubbock school, Like, that's not just a small little flag.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
That's wild.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Yeah, that is so what the flags represent all the
big twelve schools. Oh, they have twelve, all the big
twelve schools. And so I reached out to Chris Level,
our buddy Chris Level, the tech. I said, hey, I
sent them the picture. I said, hey, we appreciate you
supporting the You know, he goes what like he didn't
know it. Guess where's that he goes? Oh, actually, there's
a couple of schools that do all the big twelve
(59:57):
schools in the school Now that's the Dog Gone Wag. Yeah,
you should get these kids onto the Dog Gone League.
Get him in Texter best summer series yet. All were good.
My favorite was Bill McKenzie. Two things I didn't know.
He briefly lived in Ravenswood during my teenage years. And
there's Frank Nester. He graduated with Ravenswood with my mom
and his wife was one of my teachers. Thanks for
(01:00:18):
the summer series and I'll see you guys at the
food court. Thank you very much. I was Elite one. Jennings, Texter. Hello, gentleman.
On the topic of there's always a connection, I really
have a cool one in the state of Texas. My
son plays baseball all over the country. Participated in a
cal Ripken event at Rocker b Ranch, Texas, which about
an hour and a half of north of Dallas Fort Worth.
Walking out of the park one day, we're in my
(01:00:40):
flying WV hat it says Morgantown across the front. Guy
and his son comes up to me and says, hey,
you guys got a really good basketball coach. Great basketball coach.
In fact, I replied and said, yeah, I think he's
going to do well. Our fan base seems to be
really excited. The gentleman that I was talking to happened
to be Ross Hodge's former neighbor, and his son was
(01:01:00):
best friends with Ross's son. He went on to say
that he talks to Ross probably twice a week, and
spoke about how much Ross is enjoined Morgantown and how
much he loved it. Everything he told me about him
was a was a great family man, an awesome basketball coach,
and then we got a really good one, which I
tend to agree. Love the show. Guys, keep up the
good work. This is Matt from Telmo Georgia, the Delta Mechanic.
(01:01:22):
I've said this several times when I've gone out this
summer to speak, because everything happened real quick. People don't
know Ross yet, but I think they're going to really
as they get to know him, they're earlier, theyre going
to like him. Texter. Last episode, we Need the Rain
was mentioned, Brad said we need the rain. Thankfully, Brad
stepped in. Thankfully Brad stepped in on behalf of us
(01:01:44):
under the age of fifty had said old guy stuff. Now,
what part of the aging process does one start to
consider needing rain and stating that we need rain, almost
as if one is defending the weather for its actions.
Signed by Thad from York, Pennsylvania. I think if you
say it, if you say that we need rain and
you're under forty, you're probably not right. You got to
(01:02:05):
be over forty to say it. But I think it's
very important we do need the rain.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
I just was saying it on behalf of my brother
who is in the agriculture industry in the Eastern Panhandle.
So it means in corn. But yeah, it is kind
of an old guy thing.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
When's your brother pick his corn? Like, when's it harvested?
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
It would be like October. I think we can get
in October November. Well, it's field corn. It's no thing
you shell it, you don't.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
Yeah, thank never mind. Hey, guys, I played football at
Wirt County and my coach always told me a story.
He went to college at Glenville State when Rich was there.
He lived at the apartments close to the football field
and said he would not have to set his alarm
because Rich would wake him up every morning with his
loud coaching. Methods. I love the show. Jake from work. Yeah,
I mean Rich is trying to serve the public as
(01:02:50):
an alarm clock.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
Not a problem, Rich's alarm clock.
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
It's good. Yeah, got some people here, ran into a
couple from night always a three H four connections. Stay
check this out there at the Conch Republic Bar in
Key West, Florida, started to start conk conk he did.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
I mean, it was like con the conk.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
That's Scott from Morganton hanging out. Texter. Question Tavita for
now not nominated. So we got a little graphic here.
West Virginia has Chemo macchiole, mccannie wait, mcconnieole, mcconnie ole,
(01:03:32):
Kemo mcconniole is his name, and he is of Polynesian descent.
And this person was saying, why wasn't Tavita f now
Vita falr Texter, Guys, this is.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
He never he never No, I talked about player who
never played.
Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
Yeah, he ranks up there there, well there he's on
the top five. Hey guys, this is Nathaniel texting from
the plains of Shawnee, Kansas. I'm a WVU School of Medicine.
Twenty seventeen. Lum got my BA and Bio in thirteen.
Spent some time in sort of enemy territory Lexington, Lexington, Kentucky.
Now I'm firmly an enemy territory forty five minutes outside
(01:04:11):
of Lawrence, Kansas. I just want to say, it feels
like coming home. Listening to you all get hyped about
the upcoming Mountaineer football basketball seasons, listening to tutors and
Go Mart commercials, and hearing of the still woes of
the mile ground roundabout. No matter where life takes me
country roads, three guys take me home. I just wanted
to say, thank you. Let's go mount Heres. Well we're here, sir,
(01:04:32):
thank you, very thank you. Nice Hey Uncle Tony Bradon Hoppey.
We've got an inquiry on Revkev's barbecue during away games.
Dom from Smithers and myself playing in a corn party
the day of the Ohio game. Plethora of corn dishes,
events such as bobbing for corn and corn eating. We
will also be crowning a corn king and queen all
before rooting on the Mountaineers. We would like to place
(01:04:54):
an order with Revkev for the meat portion, if available,
the whole three guys crew invited to attend, including Homeless,
Dave Hayden, and Morgantown by way of Ridge. Yeah. Just
go to source WV dot org and you can order
from Rev keV.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Yeah, but they're not gonna be it. He's not gonna
be at the Ohio game.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
No, you can do he'll He'll cook something for him
in advance. I'll do some of that, all right, Okay,
Probably have to go over there to the church that
King to me MC over there, get up over there. Yeah.
Is that construction done yet in west Over? Probably not.
I'm scared to go over. Sometimes I like to cut
through west Over. I'm scared to go over. I mean
when I went in there, I mean it was like unbelievable.
(01:05:35):
You enter n risk text her. I'm not sure if
Tony is aware of this or not, but there seems
to be someone pretending to be him on Instagram Jez. Yeah,
there's a lot of that going on. Had that and
there was a fake story as well on the Facebook
that I was named the the number one college football
(01:05:57):
play by play guy in the country. And I've felt
horribly bad because I got so many people congratulating me.
So I just had like a standard response, like it's
a scam, it's a clickbait thing. It's the same thing
that people have been doing with Netflix doing a documentary
on Pat White, Netflix doing a documentary on don Neelon.
It's all not true. It's just clickbait stuff so people
(01:06:20):
can make money.
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Something on Facebook wasn't true.
Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Yeah, it's hard to believe. I thought somebody was doing
it for clickbait.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Listening to you guys now on over unders, you see
this number rather disturbing, over under thirty weeks before rich
Rod gets us back into the ranking, signed by Jeremy
and Cooperstown. Yeah, that's prize the heck out of me.
When I saw that West Virgin's going one hundred weeks, Brad,
since it's been in the top twenty five. Yeah, and
the A people and the eight people, that's a wow.
(01:06:49):
It is that is a wow. So okay, here's this
over under thirty weeks over you think it'll take more
than thirty weeks? Yeah, okay, Texter, please tell rich to
bring back van Halen's right now and the Big Circle
to close pregame warmups. Thanks BT classic member Willie Williams.
(01:07:12):
Rich still does do they do the handshake thing at
the end of practice where the offense goes in the
defense they meet at midfield. I don't know anything about
their music or anything like that. I'm sure others are involved.
Brad wouldn't youd like to be still in the athletic
department so you could be involved in those decisions whether
to bring the inflatable helmet back in the tunnel or
anything like that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Game Dame Brad's worried about the fog. He's got to
make sure the FOG's good, thrilled.
Speaker 4 (01:07:39):
There's very capable people now in the department handling that
don't have to have an opinion on it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Even Apparently Instagram did a top fifty sports movies All
Time and this person mixed from Spencer upset that neither
Blue Chips nor the program is in the top fifty.
It automatically invalidates the entire list. Blue Chips a classic
classic a day from Colfax, by the Way at Greenville,
South Carolina, Scopes, Pappy and Bradley the Greek. According to
(01:08:06):
the mothership of Mountaineer football nerds, wvstats dot Com, the
Mountaineers have not returned a kickoff for a TD since
twenty twenty one. Do you credit this to the regulation changes,
lack of athleticism and recruiting overall special teams coaching? Would
you take over under in a zero point five line
for twenty twenty five kickoff TDS?
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
I would take an over on that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Lastly, when can we start putting barbecued orders in for
rev keV? Will the barbecue and a box still be
available this year? For early orders? Go ears Yes, all
that stuff for REVKEV is available. Go to episode eight hundred.
Go to source WV dot orgon They'll take care of.
Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
Returns have gotten harder in the last few years, though,
with the every kicksouts. I'm kicked out.
Speaker 1 (01:08:46):
I'd go under on that, would you? Who's going to
return kicks or be back there? For Pacman Foxes like
a punts. Pac Man's been working out, Rodney Gallagher's been
working out. I got a full of guys, Okay, yeah,
three guys. I'm headed out on another international work trip.
I'll be sure to check in with a couple of
(01:09:07):
rate my plates. Really nothing like listening to you guys
when I'm traveling. No matter where I am in the world,
the familiar phrases, jokes and sayings from this clown show,
put a smile on my face and give me the
West Virginia connection. Speaking of which, this morning, as I
left my house wearing a Statler College pullover, I wondered
if I had come across any mountaineers on this trip.
After landing in Atlanta from Phoenix, I'm standing in line
(01:09:29):
at the Starbuck when I noticed a woman staring at me.
When I finally look at her, she says, my dad
was a huge West Virginia fan. He was from Morgantown.
I told her, I grew up in West Virginia, went
to school there at the college, and now live in Phoenix.
Her response was, I was born in Phoenix. Of course,
she was always a connection. As my layover wound down,
I made my way to the international terminal. Standing at
(01:09:50):
the gate waiting to board my flight to Lima, Peru.
What do I see a couple of guys also getting
ready to board wearing West Virginia two T shirts. I
haven't even made it out of the country and the
West Virginia connection count is at two. Looking forward to
the next few episodes from Peru, Chili, and Indonesia. Wow,
(01:10:10):
let's go, it's our buddy. Brian Chandler, Arizona. He gets
all right, Danny McCoy writes in Longtime Listener Class of
seventy four, Morgantown. Raised at the top of High Street,
coming back from an Alaskan cruise last week, listening to
the pot on the plane, and sure enough you guys
are talking about West Virginia in Alaska cities. I just
visited the day that I wore my Daniels WVU shirt.
(01:10:31):
I was amazed at so many folks in Catch a
Can and Juno giving me a shout out. We truly
are everywhere. My name's in Alaska. I mean, final looking.
Phil's got threads in Alaska. Probably got like huskies wearing
fine looking Phil Peter Malar.
Speaker 4 (01:10:46):
By the way, speaking of Daniels, A lot of gold
over there right now. Gold Rush is coming that first game.
Oh you might want to get on your stuff. Their
head over to Daniels okay or danielsmorningtown dot com.
Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
The first game is a gold rush. Yeah, okay, cool, Yes,
all right, Texter. As I was weed eating Saturday around
our mulch beds, I realized I need to keep a
hard edge. Come out August thirty of the blessings, DJ
from Noroe County. I haven't done this in a super
(01:11:19):
long time, but I thought I would so as you
guys know, we don't do phone calls, but if you're
a long time listener, we used to do phone calls. Yeah,
So I'm gonna play. I'm gonna play a little bit.
I'll play a little bit of a phone call that
someone left us here. I'll shut these mics off so
you guys can hear it through the speakers. Wait, wait,
(01:11:42):
here go, here we go, Here we go, Here we go,
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
I guess I don't know if you remember me or not,
was one of the police officers down there rog West
Virginia when y'all were down there. Uh. I know a
few years ago, hey, and I was telling me I
played for coach rod at Glenville and sitting down here,
I told you and told all you guys that coach
(01:12:04):
Rodriguez with be back. Everybody's like, no, he won me back.
I have always said it from the day that he left,
and I'm telling you again, he's back. And I told you, hey,
call me back. Uh. I like to bebe We could
do something to surpresse. Coach try Dan I've been his
(01:12:24):
biggest thing since he's lived, always had faith that he
was coming back, and he's back home. I think it's
the best thing that mountaineers could have. If you want
to call me back.
Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
Yeah, then he gave me his phone number, which I
didn't think would probably be appropriate to as well.
Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
He heed the shot.
Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
He was right, call the shot man. He deserves to
be able to say I told you so, Ye, Texter,
call me silly. But I'm annoyed by other teams and
non WVU athletes using the phrase let's go. Even our
local newspaper us this half page graphic probably just to
enrage me. Well, it's okay for one to bees. I
suppose let's not forget West Virginia fans have kept up
(01:13:04):
this awesome tradition since the beginning of time. Signed by
Charleston Blair of Memphis. Then he said, yes, we still
take the local news.
Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Favorite you take the paper, the local.
Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
We take the paper. H hay, Three guys, here isn't
always a West Virginia connection. I went to the Charlotte
Knights Memphis Redbirds game to see JJ weatherhol play. Of
course I was wearing WV gear. I wasn't in the
stadium five minutes before I got it. Let's go Mountaineers.
Best part was the JJ led the game off with
a homer. Also, instead of Hoppy's obvious observations, I think
(01:13:38):
it should be Hoppy's obvious perceptions signed by Ryan from Burlington,
North Carolina if he identifies as a former manager of
the men's basketball team. Charlie from Midlothian rights.
Speaker 4 (01:13:49):
JJ's still raking.
Speaker 2 (01:13:51):
Oh my gosh, did you see that home run he
hit the other day? He beat that ball up, he
crushed it.
Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
Hit him up, well, he should be The Cardinals ba
this cheer. I don't even know they're they're competing for
a wild card, but I think they're very good.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
But you would think about now, if you were going
to bring a guy up, wouldn't you do it about now?
Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
September?
Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
Stember September?
Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
Yeah, Charlie expands Hoppy, they have more roster spots here
in September than you.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 1 (01:14:18):
Charlie from mid Lothian.
Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
I'm sure they'll be out of the race soon. Cardinals sing,
get him up there.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
Let me unchecked the standing as a Hoppy, he knows
exactly what he's talking about. He's a Cubs fan. He
just loves Tawny.
Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
Yes, he knows exactly what. I haven't heard anything about
the car's beautiful, Charlie very well.
Speaker 4 (01:14:36):
Cubs have the second best record, and I don't know
where the Cardinals aren't what we talked about.
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
He got me there.
Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
I thought you were Charlie from mid Lothian. If Wren
had not busted Hoppies chopped for wearing a tie in
the last episode, that was going to be my next text.
He kind of stood out there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
She looked nice, thank you, thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
Text. I've not heard this idea from anyone, but it
may already be a thing. Keep a portion of everyone's
and I to be paid upon graduation or forfeited upon transfer.
So I mean, in theory, that would be a pretty
good idea. But the problem is that you can't be
the lone wolf in that, like everyone across the board
(01:15:15):
would have to do that, because if West Virginia told
a perspective student, hey, this is what we're gonna do,
they're gonna go like, Okay, forget you, I'll go to
this other place that doesn't do that. So unless you had,
like everyone was doing it, then it really wouldn't work.
You'd only be the only hurt would be on you.
Texter scopesteen, Senator, this is a long detailed text regarding
(01:15:36):
how you three guys and your vernacular has an impact.
My wife and I went to a couple of Pittsburgh
Pirate games over Memorial Day. On our way there, we're
listening to one of your shows. You guys are all
talking about getting your picture made with Major Harris somewhat.
When we got into PNC Park, we walked up to
a huge life size Pirate pairent bobblehead. There was a
(01:15:56):
couple wanting to take a picture with us using their smartphone.
These folks were from Asia with accents, not Asian Americans,
so they were visitors. My wife goes up to him
and says, do you want your picture made? And takes
their picture with their smartphone. I left at least to
the end of the third inning. So now there's a
(01:16:17):
couple back in Beijing or bang coocker somewhere using Appalachian
says telling people about getting their picture made perfect. Perhaps
it will spread across Asia, maybe even other continents. Signed
by Chris and Grandview Heights, O Hi, very good.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Cardinals are five back in the wild card.
Speaker 1 (01:16:33):
He knew that I had no idea and last lady,
I didn't playing this Tony happy Brad. I listened to
your last two episodes on my last two runs, and
I have an over under for you, which I will
set at one and a half. How many schools d
one or otherwise have a new president, a new football
coach and a new men's basketball coach going into the
(01:16:56):
same year. One and a half is the number.
Speaker 4 (01:16:58):
Yeah, they can't be many. I've probably can't be mad.
Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
I guarantee it's less than three. If it's not under
one and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Of power four just everywhere, I mean, the field is
pretty big one.
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
He said, do you want do you want under well?
Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
Do you want basketball? Because there's streight?
Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
Is it still probably still probably under right? Yeah, we're not,
but our crack staff we probably just since Jack's going
back to school, I don't think we'll beat to try now.
Speaker 1 (01:17:27):
When Jack leaves, I mean he goes in witness protection.
Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
Yeah, he disappears.
Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
He's press coverage when he's in town. He's like when
he goes back to campus, it's just like, but you
focused on what he's doing. But you know what he's reclassifying,
I know now graduating early. He's done in December. We're
gonna we are gonna kidnap him and tie him up
and bring him well.
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
Then technically three and a half years he's got how
many years of eligibility left?
Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Then a lot of eligibility left, Okay, unless you decided
to arbitrariius, different rules at different times.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
So too, by the time y'all hear this, watch this,
listen to this, chances are Judge John Bailey's ruling will
be out. And again we would be stunned to the
utmost degree if you get all four of the young
guys eligible. Fingers crossed that you get multiple guys eligible.
(01:18:24):
Absolutely would love to see multiple guys get eligible. Three
would be great. We'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
Yeah, they're in. The cases are taken up individually, so
there's it's not like a group. It's not like all
in or all out.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Collect correct, So we'll see what happens. Broadcasts, broadcast podcast schedule.
So again next week we'll go game week, So we're
gonna go Monday, and then we'll do a second show
next week that probably releases Thursday. What day are we
doing it? We'll pray, have to do it Wednesday. We'll
release Thursday, and then after that, when the season starts,
(01:18:58):
we will go. After a series of negotiations with various
representatives and agents, we will record Sunday mornings and we'll
have our show for you post game before noonish I
shouldn't say before noon, definitely by one o'clock on Sundays,
and then we'll go Thursdays. We'll preview Thursdays, we'll review Sundays,
(01:19:21):
and that'll be that and again all of our live
stuff that we're doing starting at Buffalo Wild Wings this
coming Wednesday from six until eight at the what do
you call that? Beat Ups? No, No, what do you
call the location? Suncrest Suns Suncrest Town Center. I just
go poled Orchard Bypass is what I normally go with
(01:19:43):
at the Suncrest Town Center. We'll be there from six
to eight the next night.
Speaker 4 (01:19:47):
And hold on and it's a free event.
Speaker 1 (01:19:49):
Yeah, just come out. There's gonna be specials.
Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
Come in, get you some wings.
Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
I am going to try to get a wing eating contest.
I'd love to get a Uni Versity player and a
Morgantown player.
Speaker 4 (01:20:02):
Wing that they got a game the next day.
Speaker 1 (01:20:05):
They need to be in protein.
Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
Contest it before they play a game.
Speaker 1 (01:20:09):
Coach Byser, Coach Buyser won't mind.
Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
How about just a mountain or trivia? Can we do that?
Speaker 1 (01:20:15):
We'll do trivia, We'll do music.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Are you taking care of all that?
Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
No, he's not taking care of any of its.
Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
Homeless.
Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
Homeless will be involved, homeless will be involved. Yeah, we're good.
We're good. And the Clear Mountain Bank is going to
be the sponsor of the food court, which is fantastic.
Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
Welcome on board.
Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
Yeah, got a bank now, yeah, I got a bank,
a financial understanding.
Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
Yeah, they'll be there with a uh there's cork windows.
Speaker 1 (01:20:36):
They're good people out there.
Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Visors.
Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
They've been great and big in the community. That's why
you sign in with us on here. He's so great
to have them.
Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
