Happy Thanksgiving USA!
When Thanksgiving rolls around 515 athletes know that it is time for the Ultraman World Championships.
In this episode I speak with two athletes who will be competing in this year’s race.
Mark Moody is an EMT from Bellevue Washington who holds the 60+ age group record at Ultraman Canada. He has crewed numerous times at 515 races around the world and is now ready for his own adventure on the island. He doesn’t take things too seriously when at these events, except for trying to win the Kokua award.
Keri Mandell is a yoga entrepreneur who has raced at both UM Arizona and UM Florida (completing the McVeay double). She has competed in ultramarathons up to 100 miles and completed the World Marathon Challenge. These events have inspired her to write a book based on the experiences. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
