Hachi was born in Toronto, grew up in Tokyo then moved to Montreal where launched three Japanese restaurants, Iwashi Izakaya, Thazard, and his latest omakase restaurant Okeya. Hachi is adept at experimenting with ramen variations and we made a vegan ramen dish together using Beyond Meat.
