(00:00):
Hi Amy, happy last night, was 90day fiance the other way season
7 episode? 4 already.
Do you have any first impressions that you want to
share? Not.
Really, I kind of feel like thiswas almost like a non episode.
Feel like I fast. Forwarded through a lot,
especially with Greta. I couldn't watch that but.

(00:21):
I don't know what. Did What did you think of the
episode I? Thought it was a filler episode.
Not much happened. It was like, so all we're seeing
is this person getting on a plane or that couple meeting in
that country. There's nothing else you can
give us, just a little somethingextra, No.
So this was definitely somethingthat was created just to stretch

(00:43):
the season a little bit. It was a bit dull.
Yeah, I wonder how many episodesare in the season.
We will find out. While we're finding that out,
I'm going to do the quick one and two one rate review and
follow us wherever you to the podcast to watch the podcast on
YouTube at 90 Day Fiance. Honestly, do you have an answer
to the burning question of how many episodes we get in a season

(01:05):
of Tow? No, there's.
It's only showing 8 right now, which doesn't.
Sound right? No, it's definitely not right.
There's going to be 20 something.
Maybe. Shall we begin?
Yes, I know. I really wish that we could just
skip this couple. Oh.
But there's so much to discuss. I am disgusted.

(01:27):
Disgusted. All right.
Well, first of all, it is Luke and Madeline, in case anybody is
wondering. Yeah, sorry, should have said
that first. Yeah, Anyways.
I could read your mind, but I don't know if the listeners and
viewers can. OK, so before we get to the
disgusting part, we find out that they haven't spoken and yet
he's getting on a plane to go and see her.

(01:50):
OK great. He says they're fighting about
finances and I wonder how much it cost for him to change his
flight. I hadn't even thought of that.
That's right, he did change it because he arrives a day earlier
than anticipated. It was a day or two, yeah.
Well, yeah, he said, he said a day or two or a couple of days
in last week's episode. And at the beginning of this

(02:11):
one, he said a couple of days. And then when he arrived, he
said I'm here a day early. I was like, what?
Why do you, why do you try to stretch this out?
Why don't just tell us the truth?
Why do guys have to do this? Oh, I'm 6 foot 5.
Actually, no, you're only 6 foot.
You know it's along those lines.Again, with the numbers, he
doesn't seem to be very good with them, despite apparently
having an MBA. Yeah.

(02:33):
So how much did that flight cost?
How much were those flowers? Probably like, completely and
utterly inconsequential, but he needed to do some grand gesture
other than just showing up. But.
Oh. God.
Anyway, so she's doing her mom'snails.
She was telling us about the history of their relationship
and how she really wasn't aroundbecause she was working so much

(02:54):
and whatever. I'm very happy that her and her
mom have a decent relationship now.
Her mom's name is Sandra and she's excited about the wedding.
OK. That's great.
Did you notice that Madeline hasfixed her signage?
No, I didn't notice. It now says made beauty, not the

(03:16):
other way. It was completely incorrect the.
EU, whatever it was. Yes, the the exterior sign was
fixed. I was trying to see on the
inside of the shop if it was fixed as well.
I would imagine that she has done on that, but I'm not
exactly sure. She talks about how she's been
in business now for a year and ahalf, so that's good that her

(03:37):
business is still going after that much time.
She talks about making 4400 or thereabouts dollars last month
sounds really good, especially when you consider how far a
dollar goes in Colombia as opposed to anywhere else.
But also she didn't specify if that was profit or gross.
So if she's making all of that profit, that's phenomenal.

(03:59):
And then they show the wall of diplomas that she's showing off
to her mom, which was cute. Did you notice what any of those
diplomas were for? No, I didn't see them.
What were they? OK, so the two that they focused
on, one was a 48 hour makeup course and the other one was for
a class in acrylic nails. So it's all of her beauty

(04:19):
business certifications. I don't know, I I shouldn't
judge. I just found it funny that all
of these diplomas and certificates are hanging on the
wall immediately inside the shopand she shows them off to her
mom and the camera. Whatever.
I mean, I can't judge, but I mean, this is my Home Office, so

(04:40):
I don't know if you can actuallysee this on the video.
But like, I have my diplomas up on the wall and I've got another
one behind me. And it's to me, it's a really
nice way to kind of nest and to,you know, appreciate my own
accomplishments, especially whenI'm not feeling so great about
myself. But with her, I think it's more
bragging, though. I also think it's important that

(05:01):
she shows that she has the certificates to be able to
perform the services that she's providing.
But there were there were a ton of them there.
There must have been what, like 8 or 9?
Like there were a bunch. And they were.
They were not straight. They were not straight.

(05:22):
I I appreciate that she has the appropriate certifications for
the jobs that she performs. I just found it funny because I
have never walked into a salon or a spa of any kind and seen
those kinds of things on the wall.
Generally, you take it for granted that the person that is
performing the services in fact qualified.

(05:42):
You would have to assume that inorder to get the job that they
had to be qualified. I think, you know, now that you
mentioned it, I think every timethat I've gone into a salon,
it's just been the business license and the fact that
they're in good standing that's on the wall.
And you know, sometimes there's the the accolades, you know,
beauty business 2025, something like that.

(06:03):
But yeah, her actual personal accolades is interesting.
I know we're dwelling on this, but just one more thing because
it's got me thinking today. So I went online and I looked at
her online presence, her Google reviews which have been in place
since I think 2023. There are only 5 of them and
they are all from 11 months ago or more except except for one.

(06:29):
I think the most recent one was like 2 months ago.
Somebody from 90 day went there and there was they were all
positive reviews except for one which was a one star.
But I'm also a little bit suspicious of that, that there's
only 5 reviews in a year and a half.
And yet she's making $4400 a month.
Is that $4400 or is it? She gave us the she said the

(06:52):
number in Colombian, whatever itis, and then they translated it
on screen to just about 4400 US.OK, we're we're we're really
belaboring the point. Let's keep going.
OK, anyway, the stupid fake out scene where she pretends not to
be happy when Luke arrives but then she does her standard jump
into his arms and wrap her legs around him.

(07:12):
Of course. We knew.
Yeah, saw that coming. She says that she she blocked
him because she didn't have timeto fight with him.
Yes, which I found stupid. Why not have a conversation as
opposed to just blocking? You're supposed to be getting
married in a short period of time and instead of actually

(07:34):
talking through your problems, which are financially based, you
block him. Yes, well, maybe she was finding
it very distracting to have these conversations via text
with Luke where they were mostlyarguing about money when she's
trying to run her business and figure out their wedding plans
at the same time. Plus, she knew he was about to
arrive, so perhaps it was just easier for her to stop the text

(07:59):
conversation and wait for him to.
Get there, you know, there's there's a lot of trust issues
with this couple, but I think that that shows a lot of trust
on her end for him that he's actually going to show up.
Like instead of taking that blocking as like, Oh my God, I
think we're done. Like, no, I'm going to get on a

(08:21):
plane and I'm I'm going to be there.
Choice does he have? He's invested all of his
remaining money in this propertyoutside of Medellin, plus
probably all of his stuff is already down there.
If he could even afford to ship his stuff.
Yeah. Anyway, I I don't see that he
has a choice in going or not going.

(08:42):
He has to go. That's he's quit his job.
Good for him. But did you catch that he said
that Madeleine was meeting her wedding planner or he said
Madeleine's wedding planner, like, OK, so this is her wedding
and she keeps saying the weddingof my dreams.

(09:04):
Did he have any input in any of this at all?
Or is he just paying for the whole thing?
He's just footing the bill. For the whole thing.
I think so. I know he had a huge part to do
in the in the proposal that was all him with the helicopter and
all of that garbage. So maybe this is her her chance

(09:24):
to shine. I don't know.
She keeps going on about, you know, how good she is with the
numbers and yet somehow they endup over budget.
Oh, OK, well, first, may I please call your attention to
Madeline's very, very famous andquite astonishing ability to
roll her eyes into the back of her head?

(09:45):
Because as soon as they'd gottendone with their pretend
excitement, not excitement scene, and he sat down in front
of her and they were talking about money went the eyes into
the top of her skull. She does it better than anybody
else I've ever seen. So kudos to you, Madeline.
That's really a special. Skill super blank eyes or the

(10:06):
the whites of the eyes like she rolls them right into the back
of her head. She.
Can't see anything of the pupil or the iris.
It's all gone. It's amazing.
It's like she turns into a zombie.
I was just going to say that very zombie ask.
Well, continue. What about the wedding planner
slash pageant coat slash dress designer meeting caught your

(10:28):
attention? I don't know.
The their mental gymnastics whenit came to the numbers because
you said based on this invoice, your balance is, I looked it up,
it was $255. But then she says the balance
from the last invoice was what, 4000?

(10:48):
So is it 4000 over budget? Yes, in total.
That's the impression I got. They started with a $12,000
budget and that they are now 4000 over.
So if he doesn't pay that, everything disappears, which
makes no sense to me at all. Yeah.
Seems overly dramatic, so. The $4000 leftover, he's got

(11:11):
3000, he said. That's it.
What can we cut from the budget? And then the wedding planner was
like, no, if you don't pay for it all, we're going to cancel
it, OK. And then the disgusting part.
My God. Somehow comes out with like a
jar of what I think was Nutella Nutella and she starts eating it

(11:34):
with her finger with her gigantic mile meals.
And just watching smiles. And just watching her eat, that
was so distracting. At the whole time.
I was like, you couldn't grab a spoon, you're at your place.
Yes, well, this is where we see Madeline's true H because only a

(11:54):
kid does this. Grabs the jar, sticks their
finger in it, finger into mouth. No concept of making sure that
it's clean or sanitary or if other people want to have some,
that they also don't Get your saliva and your finger juice in
their spoonful of Nutella. Are your Are your fingers juicy?

(12:15):
What's finger juice I have? To do a separate show on finger
juice. I mean, I can't, I can't judge
if she loves Nutella because I also have an obsession with
Nutella. Though even as a teenager, I
would grab some sort of utensil so that I could clean it out.

(12:36):
Specifically a spatula because you can get into the little
crevices and you can get all thethings and I know I'm finishing
off the jar so I could eat it out of the jar.
But for Herdy he was her fingerswas blue.
Child. It's a child behavior.
Yeah. I grabbed a spoonful of peanut
butter this morning before I went out for my run.
Did I stick my finger in the jar?

(12:57):
No, because I'm adult and I knowhow to keep things.
Clean. And without the germs and
bacteria. Even though she was finishing
the jar, it appears to be finishing the jar.
Your finger is not the most effective thing and the tell is
going to get under your nails. How you going to clean that?

(13:19):
And I don't even want to go further from there because the
idea of it is just so revolting.Absolutely.
You and I have had this discussion many times and I'm
not going to go there again, butthis the the mind boggles at
what can be under those fingernails and she is eating
off of that thing. And you know, the amount of
times that I clean my nails per day because, I mean, you can't

(13:40):
really see them, but I mean, they're not short.
But like, because she has the fake nails on top of it.
Like there's just so much, so many crevices to to get set.
OK. Anyway, can we move on please?
Yes, let's move on. But before we move to the next
couple, the gist of this scene is the money and who is
mismanaging it. Is it Madeline?

(14:00):
Is it Luke? Is it even the the wedding
coordinator planner? I don't think we're going to get
an answer. I think we're just looking that
a bunch of people who are all doing something that they are
out of their depth in doing and the end result is that Madeline
goes absolutely ballistic. She will not cut anything from

(14:21):
her wedding. So I guess that her wedding.
I guess that means that given the choice between cutting
something in order to fit withinthis over budget but by $3000 as
Luke would like it to be rather than 4000 because he doesn't
have 4, between this choice and cancelling the wedding because

(14:42):
everything will get cancelled ifthey don't pay, she chooses
cancelling because she will not cut.
I mean, $1000, what, what is that going to look like?
Like, we haven't seen the breakdown of this $16,000
wedding. So like, what can you cut?
Because he also said something about like her having a

(15:03):
helicopter, which is only for her.
She's going to fly in on a helicopter.
That's what she wants. Then yeah, again, childlike
behavior. I'm going to stamp my foot and
have a tantrum until I get what I want, which is for you to
spend every single last penny that you have or don't have.
Because we don't know if he actually has anything else other

(15:24):
than this $3000 that his dad gave him at the airport.
So like, what is he supposed to do?
Moving on. Yes, OK.
Thank you. To another dramatic over the top
weeping queen Mano and Anthony. Well, she starts off, She's
still squeaking. Her voice is so high and oh,

(15:44):
this was driving me a little nuts.
It was really too much for me. They're still just arrived.
So yeah, she's excited, but everything is said in the Super,
super high pitched excited voiceof a little girl.
I found it grating. Then they get into the house and
the house is tiny. She wasn't.
Wrong when she said that they were going to be packed in like
sardines. Like the size of their room is

(16:07):
so small apparently they don't even have a closet, so are they
going to live out of their suitcase?
Seems like it. Suitcases and I think they had
like 10 of them. So like where are all of them?
Probably in the garage. Exactly.
Yeah, it's it's doesn't look good at this point.
The bed is so tiny. Anthony describes how they were
all sleeping on it somehow, but he was at the foot of the bed

(16:30):
lying sideways and the baby was sleeping in the bed with them
and Manon and they need a bettersleeping arrangement.
This is. Terrible kid has like that
playpen that he could have sleptin and yet they allowed him to
sleep in the bed. I can understand, you know, it's
a new place, he may have been scared or anxious or whatever

(16:52):
and he's only what, 2? So why not let him fall asleep
with you and then put him in thething and then perhaps the two
of you could have gotten some sleep?
Because he said that Manon did not.
He, he thinks that Manon did notget any sleep at all.
Like, isn't that perfect for an emotionally unstable woman who

(17:12):
was filled with negativity to not get any sleep?
And do you think she's going to continue to pick the fight?
God, she will not let it go. From the moment that they close
the door to their bedroom and then after the cameras were
gone, they were still arguing into the night.
Still arguing. And the next morning.

(17:33):
Yes, it's exhausting watching these two.
And are you not already exhausted from the 6-7 hour
flight to France? Oh, it's probably longer because
they flew from California, right?
Yeah, a long flight. You're already exhausted.
Can you not just appreciate thatyou're exhausted?
That's probably exacerbating your, your emotional reactions.

(17:54):
Sleep on it and then talk about it.
Don't continue to pick the fightand to prod or to poke the bear.
But I just, I found that her invalidation was just so
resounding. She had no accountability, no
integrity. And then she jabs him right
where it hurts and says, are we roommates?

(18:14):
Am I just a donor? Oh, my Lord, you can't have a
mature discussion. You have to throw these little
jabs at him knowing full well that that's going to hurt him.
She reminds me of an acts of mine who would just take those
opportunities when they arose tobe like, oh, yes, I know that

(18:35):
you're insecure about this. Let me poke at it.
Let me poke at it. And that's what that reminded me
of. It was just like a truly, truly
awful thing for her to say. And she just, she really, what
is that word detrimentalizes everything.
Everything is the worst. That's not a word.

(18:58):
Detrimentalizing. Detrimental is a word.
You can't turn it into a verb. I don't.
Know about that? Anyway, my autocorrect corrected
it to decriminalizing and that'snot right so.
That's not the right word, but it is a word.
You know what I'm trying to say?Yes, I she does make everything
so much bigger than it is. She catastrophizes.

(19:22):
She's self victimizing. Thank you.
She self victimizes, she makes everything about her, her
marriage, everything is about her and Anthony is like a side
character in this marriage. And everything is so negative.
I thought it, I thought it was interesting when she said, you
know, I'd come home from work and I would say to Anthony, what

(19:44):
do you want me to do? And that to me highlighted the
fact that not only is he doing all of the child bearing, but
now he's carrying the mental load.
Why does he have to tell you what needs to be done?
Why can't you just do it? You know, the laundry needs to
be changed, the dishes need to be done.
Vacuuming I like, I don't. Know absolutely this is the
classic female domestic role that he's been taken on taking

(20:08):
on and we hear all the time fromwives complaining about their
husbands saying oh I don't know what to do you should make me a
list or tell me what to do but yes you're putting all of that
extra mental load on the woman now to sort out these tasks and
hand them to you assign them to you as if you were a child so it

(20:28):
was very interesting to see thatrole reversal and.
For. Her to be taking on the
helpless. Like oh, I.
Don't know what to do. I've been working all day and
this house stuff I just don't understand it.
Well, that just aggravates me somuch.
The victim mentality yet again, yes.
Totally. And his patience is astounding,

(20:49):
but you can also see that he's part of that is him having been
beaten down and berated, belittled so much that he just
tucks his head down and lies lowuntil the storm is passed.
You could see him shutting down. And I don't know if that was
just tiredness from the day and night of traveling, but Anthony
definitely shut down during the evening.

(21:10):
And then the next day, she's apologized.
He's apologized. So there's been some
reconciliation and she's identified that yes, she does
need to take the initiative and do stuff without having to ask
like a little child mommy, what do I do now?
And he's identified that he needs to show her more affection

(21:31):
because she doesn't feel appreciated and loved as a wife.
So fair enough. And I'm proud of them for
identifying those issues and setting up solutions.
Whether or not they they take onthose actions and make good on
their words, we'll have to see. But I think this is a good a
good progression for the couple.I mean, I hope so and but going

(21:51):
back to your point about him shutting down, we saw that in
the in the ride to I think it was to the airport, she was
berating him about, you know, him being the sole provider and
what her being the cash cow or whatever you want to call her.
I don't really care. And then he just, he shuts down.
He's like, you know, you're right.

(22:12):
I'm sorry. So we've already seen him
fawning and now I've seen it again.
He's freezing. Yeah, he freezes.
Yeah. Anyway, I, I really hope that
this couple gets better, especially from a viewer point
of view, because they're just boring.

(22:33):
The concept of, you know, them moving to France and, you know,
fixing their marriage is just soabsurd.
The way that they interact with each other, or at least the way
that she interacts with him is just, it's not enjoyable.
I don't like it. I do appreciate the
reconciliation that they have had.
So I hope it continues because otherwise this is going to get

(22:54):
really old really quickly. Shall we read on?
Going back to Chloe and Jonathan, Very interesting scene
in the morning. It's her first morning in Aruba.
Johnny has a couple of days off from work so that he can help
her settle in, which was a lovely gesture.
Which made me wonder, what the heck is Chloe going to do with

(23:14):
all of her days when he's at work?
What is she going to be doing? No job?
No nothing. Is she just going to, Oh my God,
tanning? No.
What is she going to do and how?Even if she could find a job in
Aruba easily and quickly, how isshe going to suffer through
that, shall we say, when she's used to a cushy job where she

(23:36):
earns apparently 6 figures at the.
Ripe old age of 24. Is she going to scoff?
Like if she actually does get a job, is she going to scoff at
any amount that they offer to pay her?
Is she going to be too entitled to actually accept a job because
it's obviously nothing in comparison to what she's been
spoon fed? How is this going to work?
Speaking of spoon feeding, when Amy pray, did you learn how to

(24:00):
cook? Say something simple like
boiling an egg. I started cooking when I was
approximately 6 under the supervision of my parents, so I
have known how to boil an egg even though now I still Google
it to see if if I know the correct timing.
Yes, but very long time ago. And she, you know, she says that

(24:21):
she can cook, but she's just afraid of the stove.
And then she also says that another breath that she doesn't
really know how to make a boiledegg.
So pick one. I think she was exaggerating
when she knows and she said she knows how to cook.
Stuff. You can put something in the
microwave, IE she can order takeout and then reheat it.
Yeah, because Johnny's reaction to her when he was asking.

(24:43):
Her. About her?
Getting started making somethingin the kitchen for them to eat
seemed like he was coming from aplace of understanding that she
has very little to no ability tocook.
Yes, and I mean, she didn't set the house on fire.
Well, boiling the eggs, I don't know.
I knew a woman. I just want to slip this in

(25:06):
here. I knew a woman who burnt soup.
I can understand that if there'slike thick stuff in the soup or
beans and they get to the bottomand the pots on the stove for
two I could get. That I get that, yeah.
But I mean, that's the worst that I've ever seen.
So now to see this woman struggle so much, his really
difficult. The good news is that Chloe has

(25:27):
so much time on her hands that now is the perfect opportunity
to learn how to. Cook.
But she's afraid of the stove. She's afraid of the insect coil
thing that was right beside the stove.
Yes. And I mean, I can kind of
understand being afraid of the stove in a way because I feel
the same way with the BBQ. Like as I'm lighting it, it's

(25:49):
just like I need back or I wouldlike to keep my eyebrows and my
eyelashes. But it's all about being safe
and being careful and trusting your instincts.
And also, again, safety. This woman is just ridiculous,
though I did love how patient hewas with her and the fact that
he's encouraging her to try new things and to learn new things.

(26:13):
Like this guy's really growing on me.
Totally me too. I was really surprised.
I like the fact that he was pressing her not to get into
this habit of always going out for meals to be more of a
homebody to because if you've really, really wants to start a
family, and I'm not saying he wants to have kids right away,
but he wants to feel like a family with somebody where

(26:33):
you're at home every night having dinner together.
And is she going to be able to live up to that?
Is she going to be able to settle down enough to be
satisfied to be happy in that lifestyle?
That's the burning question. And you know, with her quitting
her job, her super cushy job, they're not going to be able to
afford to go out as much as whatthey used to.

(26:54):
I don't know what his finances look like.
But in reality, you're going to have to tone it down a bit so it
makes more sense to, you know, learn how to cook at home.
So even if you can't go out for three meals a day, maybe you
only go out for one. And then as you learn how to
cook more things, then you can start tapering that down even
further. So maybe you only go out for

(27:15):
dinner on Friday night or something.
But the fact that she said that they only ever went out for food
and they were never at home to cook like that's because you're
out getting food like this doesn't make any sense.
Stay at home, cook food. Shall we read on?
OK and Matthew, it's time for Greta to say goodbye to her cat.

(27:37):
Cue the sad music. Cue the violins.
Cue the weeping. OK, this is your choice, Greta.
You could have brought the cat with you.
Now you decided not to. You could have waited until Matt
got an apartment and then you could have just moved together
but instead you were shipping Hazel off with your friends.

(28:01):
But then again she contradicts herself and she says that you
know she can't wait until her and Matt get an apartment so she
can be reunited with Hazel. OK so are you re homing the cat?
Is this temporary? Are you still planning on
bringing the cat over? Like she's she's all over the
map with this one. But did you notice that when

(28:24):
they were talking, I think it was in the living room, the
gentleman had paperwork. Or what kind of paperwork?
I don't know. They didn't show us the
paperwork, so I wondered what that was.
So maybe. He just was holding the cat's
vet records. Oh, it could be.
Could be immunizations and spaying and all that stuff.

(28:44):
I thought it was pretty crystal clear in this episode.
I didn't get confused at all. The cat is coming once they find
their own place. I really hope that that's the
case. Like I love how much she loves
her cats. Obviously we love our cats, so
the last thing that I would wantwould be for her to just
abandoned poor sweet Hazel. But the the.

(29:04):
Two people who came to collect the cat, who are friends of
Greta's look like they're going to be excellent cat parents,
temporary cat parents. They have so much care, they are
really excited, they have all the right equipment.
It just seems like this is a no brainer.
The cat is going to be totally fine for however much time it

(29:24):
takes for Greta to get her own place with Matthew.
Greta doesn't have to really worry.
I understand that she's bereft and having to leave her cat
behind for a while, but just thenot.
I think if it was me, the knowledge that the cat was going
to be so well cared for would put my mind and my heart at
ease. And I agree.

(29:46):
I would be OK with it. They did seem like they were
super eager to take her on. They were super loving, you
know, very thorough and also compassionate with Greta about,
you know, having to give up her cat for a period of time.
Like I, yeah, I can't, I can't imagine doing that.
No. And then the last little bit is

(30:07):
just us seeing Greta, who's flying off to the UK at last,
which means with any luck, next week we'll see her interacting
with Matthew and his family in their little tiny house in the
middle of. Nowhere.
My last comment about this couple is, Greta said or when
she was talking to the cab driver, she said that she wanted

(30:27):
to get married. You know, she wanted to move in
together with Matt before they decided to get engaged or
married. But that was really smart.
Sorry, just married. Yeah.
I think that's really smart because, you know, we've seen a
lot of couples that just dive inhead first and then, Oh my God,
things don't align. So she seems to be fairly

(30:47):
reasonable. Hopefully things go well for
them and it's only a matter of time before we actually figure
that out. But I'm eager to see what
happens when she actually lands in England and they start living
together. I really hope it works out for
them. Yeah, me too.
Is that your last comment, or isthere anything else you'd like
to? Share No.
