(00:00):
Hi Amy, happy we just watched 90day fiance the other way season
7 episode 7 double sevens first impressions.
Boring. Oh, how strange.
Boring and creepy. That's an interesting word for
an intro. I like that I I'm going to be
eagerly waiting to see what you found creepy during this

(00:21):
episode. I found it.
It's quite. Obvious.
I I have found that there were alot of negative things going on.
Like it felt like a very heavy episode emotionally because the,
the, the feelings were very negative.
A lot of jealousy, just like notportraying the couples having a
good time. Even the new couple there was,

(00:43):
you know, like the, the specter of the mother in the background.
Yeah. It just, yeah.
What a strange episode. Now, now that you mention it,
yeah, it was very negative. Yeah, and, and I don't think
that they're usually like this. There's usually some people who
are having fun so that we have abit of a balance, but this one
was different. Anyway, before we dive in, let's

(01:03):
do our 1:00 and 2:00 rate reviewand follow us wherever you
listen to the podcast to watch the podcast on YouTube at 90 Day
Fiance, Honestly. And now we can dive into this
very strange episode starting with Patia and Dylan.
Yes. So it's travel day for Patia.
She's on her way to Tasmania, but she mentions what I just

(01:23):
alluded to. There's a potential problem on
the horizon in the form of Dylan's mom, who not only lives
very close to Dylan, but is veryclose to Dylan.
Yeah. I didn't see that coming.
I mean, she's never mentioned his mom before.
I was surprised to find out thatshe's only met her once before,
though it makes sense because she lives in Australia and Patia

(01:46):
has never been. Right.
Speaking of never having been toAustralia, there is this moment
where we hear from Dylan that Patia is most likely a city girl
with expensive tastes. And because this is her first
time going to Australia and she is moving to Australia, she's
really committing to this new life completely blind, where

(02:10):
she's going to be living in the Outback.
There's no luxury shopping, there's no fine dining.
It's just a whole lot of nature and wildlife, which can be
lovely, of course, but it soundslike Patia's not that kind of
woman. It'll be interesting to see how
she acclimates to it, if she acclimates to it, because
obviously she's been living in what, LA for however many years.

(02:33):
And I mean, it's there's a starkdifference between LA and
Tasmania. She's like in LA, she's from
Texas, she's living in Texas. Big city in Texas.
Yeah, big city. And then she was in Las Vegas
for a really long time, so this will be quite the adjustment.
Again, why did she not go there before?
To at least see the place and get a feel for it, to know what

(02:55):
she's walking into. A big adjustment.
She seems very impulsive. Yeah, that's a good word.
We don't really have much of substance to discuss about this
couple for this episode, except for the specter of the horrible
mother looming on the horizon. And then the only thing I wanted
to mention was the arrival at the airport when she licks him

(03:16):
all over his face, giving him what she calls doggy kisses.
That's a big no. That's that.
He said it was a bit much. Agreed.
Yeah, why do? Why?
Do you need to do that? I have no idea what drove her to
do that. It was appalling to say the
least. Yeah.
Shall we read on? Yes.

(03:37):
Let's go and visit Luke and Madeline.
Oh, happy days. Madeline is packing Luke's bags.
Are they going on a vacation together?
No. No, she's throwing him out of
the apartment. So mature, so very, very real.
And not at all fake, right? I.

(03:58):
Was really surprised that he said that he smells awful even
though he's covered in cake. That was also very shocking.
I would love a man who smelled of cake.
But apparently it smells awful, even though ever or both of them
were going on about how delicious it was.
Whatever. Again, fake.
Yeah. And then that scene where she's
trying so hard to make herself cry.

(04:20):
Fake. Yeah, Oh.
Please. It's so obvious that this is a
performance. Why do we need to see this?
Why can't we see them be real? I was also confused when she
told him to get out and then allof a sudden she's in bed and he
walks into her room. I guess he didn't leave and she
like what? I don't know.
It was just such a strange edit there.

(04:40):
Was some very weird stuff going on because when he got to her
apartment the next day to talk to her, it seemed to be morning
or noon. It was very light outside, but
as they had their discussion on the patio, it got progressively
darker and darker and darker with almost every sentence that
they were showing us that they were saying.
So either the sunsets in a very extraordinarily different away

(05:04):
in Colombia, or it was some verystrange editing and that
conversation actually took hoursand hours.
I. Wonder if they just had to keep
re recording it because neither of them could, I don't know,
perform properly or keep their lines straight or?
Well, there was one thing that took me by surprise, which is

(05:24):
that when Luke initially came back to the apartment on the
same night of the fight in the taxi, smelling of cake, I
thought for sure that what he would do when he saw his
suitcase at the front door is either ignore it or take it with
him and enter the building. I did not expect him to take the
suitcase, go back to his taxi and go find himself a hotel.

(05:48):
This is a guy who has no money, apparently, so why is he
spending it on a hotel when they've just been going through
the crazy budget of the wedding and striking things off the list
of things that they were planning to have in order to
accommodate his reduced budget? What?
I also made a note about that and it was ha ha.

(06:10):
Can he afford it? Yes, Equally, can he afford the
flowers that he decides to buy the next day before he goes over
to the apartment? This is just a waste.
This is throwing good money after bad or whatever that
expression is. Why?
Why does he need to do this? He saw the flowers that she
destroyed and left on the front stoop the night before.

(06:33):
Why does he think that spending more money on her through
flowers would be a good idea? Beyond me, none of this seems
like there's any point to it because whatever he says to her,
she's not going to believe it about the stripper night.
She's she's going to blame him 100%.
She's going to find him guilty no matter what excuses or

(06:54):
explanations he gives. So I yeah, I have no words
whatever. I did know that when she was
laying in bed there was a crown right beside her.
Sir, a paper crown or a tiara like thing.
Tiara of some sort. One of her beauty pageant

(07:16):
crowns, maybe? Probably, I don't know.
I mean, maybe it's her wedding crown, who knows.
Just the fact that it was layingon her bed was just so strange.
That whole scene was just bizarre beyond words.
Like she tells him it's over, she asked him to leave, he says
OK, I will go and I accept that the relationship is over.
But then like you mentioned, allof a sudden she's lying in the

(07:38):
bed and he's still in the apartment.
How? Where what?
Why is he still there? But again, we see another
attempt at fake crying, trying to push out the tears, which
does not work there. There is one thing that's
becoming more and more clear to me every time we see Madeline
throughout one of these outbursts, tantrums that she

(07:58):
has. And that is, she is very much a
child like she is psychologically as well as some
might say biologically, physiologically, every which
way, socially a child. Yes, I put in my notes, petulant
child. Yes, for sure and reading on.
Yes. Jenny and Summit OK, question #1

(08:22):
When they're sorting out the oldclothes in their bedroom, why
the hell are they not at the cafe?
What is going on with this cafe?No idea.
And they? Haven't even brought it up in
what, like 3 or 4 episodes if not more than that?
We. Yes.
What where is the cafe? What's happening?

(08:42):
Why are we not being updated? Have they abandoned the cafe
project? I mean they're.
Just hanging out. In the bedroom, going through
the boxes and looking at old clothes really well, sad.
Enough probably says you need toget rid of some of your clothes
because you have too many. Yeah, okay, but why is Sada not
working on the cafe or dad or the brother?

(09:03):
Like what is going on? I have no idea.
OK, anyway, so we have another distraction which is the yoga
class which Sadna wants to lead.OK, great.
Poop yoga she. Tells them that they have to do
yoga Jenny and summit because they're getting fat, which is
just wonderful to hear. I'm sure you don't.

(09:24):
Even know what to say about thatthough.
I'm pretty sure she said that Jenny was getting fat and Summit
told Jenny that they were both getting fat.
OK. Yes, whatever.
I do notice the fact that Jenny is what does she know?
She's 67. She does not seem to be very

(09:44):
active. It may even be that she has some
mobility issues like she she should be moving more.
She should be active. And so I think when I initially
hear, oh, sadness going to lead you in a yoga class, I was like,
that's probably a really good thing for Jenny, regardless of
the weight gain. Who cares?
You need to just move when you're at that age.

(10:05):
But it's a special kind of yoga.Yeah.
It's just. So strange.
And I I would say that, you know, her mobility issues are
reflective in her lack of flexibility, like her not being
able to straighten her arms out above her head.
That was weird. If I actually saw that
correctly. I'm not sure and I thought it

(10:27):
was interesting when they were talking about the salty water
because one of them had said that the water was hot and yet
it was in a plastic bottle. Warm water in order to dissolve
the salt. OK, that makes more sense.
I was. Very intrigued by this concept
of the salt water cleanse so I looked it up because I have

(10:49):
never heard of this before. And yes, if you drink salt
water, which people do in order to cleanse themselves from the
inside out, but it will cause very urgent trips to the
bathroom for several hours and can also be accompanied by
vomiting and cramping and other lovely bodily functions.

(11:11):
Interesting. What kind of salt was it?
I I think. Just regular table salt.
It's something like 4 cups of water to 2 teaspoons of salt I
believe. It's pretty salty, and when you
have a not very healthy body, asJenny does at this point, you
don't want to be adding more salt into your body.
That is not a good thing. Her sodium levels are probably

(11:35):
quite hot anyway. It's way too much detail.
I'm sure nobody wants to hear this.
I it's just all the thoughts that went through my mind when I
was watching this ridiculous scene.
Again, why do we need to see this?
Why aren't we learning about thecafe?
I want to know what's happening with that.
It's a good question. I have no answers.
Shall we redone? Sure.
We next go to France to see Manoand Anthony Anthony's

(11:56):
practicing. His French doesn't seem to be
taking it too seriously. All She always seems to not have
a sense of humor, no. I would find it kind of annoying
too. If we had moved to a new country
and my spouse was like making fun of the language and not
learning it properly and overly exaggerating his pronunciation
in order to show just how littlehe knew about it, I think I

(12:19):
would be kind of. I think he was only doing it to
irritate her. That's.
Always a good tactic with this couple.
I think they especially that. When you know that she's going
to get so mad, she's going to start crying.
Oh, I. Think this is the.
First episode when that we've seen them where she didn't cry.
She did not. Yes, we've taken a step up.

(12:41):
So they rent their own car and I'm not sure why they rented the
car. We didn't actually see the point
of are they going on an excursion, doing something
special just the three of them? We don't know.
All we yet we get to see is thatthey're driving in the car.
And Mano brings up this idea to Anthony of a new business that
she would like to start. Yeah.

(13:03):
Because that's going to give youmore time with your family,
right? Now, is this in addition to the
business that she had started inthe US and that she said she was
going to keep doing in France and part time?
Yeah. So it does seem like she's
trying to put an awful lot of work onto her plate without
having actually adjusted to or taken the time to really be mom

(13:26):
and wife. Which is what the whole point of
this move was to begin with yet,it seems.
Completely and utterly pointless.
Yeah, because she wanted to spend more time with her family.
She wanted to get closer with her child and now she wants to
start a business but not but, you know, set up boundaries so
that she still gets to spend time with her family.

(13:47):
Why don't you look for a nine tofive?
That's something that has set hours.
That's what I was just about to say, as opposed to.
Starting your own business that's going to completely
consume you because when? She's talking about how, OK,
well, in France they have a worklife balance.
There's things like set hours ofwork.
You're not really supposed to goover those hours.

(14:07):
It's not expected of you. You get paid vacation.
You get all of these things thatshe didn't get in the States,
which is wonderful. But you have to be employed at a
place of business in order to get that from your employer.
If she's starting her own business, then there are no
rules, there are no set times, there is no structure for her to
function within so she can do whatever she wants.

(14:30):
And when you're starting a business, doing whatever you
want doesn't cut it. You have to work your ass off to
get that thing off the ground and be available round the
clock, especially if she's goingto be getting investors to help
her start this business. So I don't see at all how it's
makes sense to say to Anthony, Oh, well, in France there's a

(14:51):
different lifestyle for work life balance.
And so because I'm starting my own business here in France,
it's going to be balanced and I'm going to take all the time I
need to. No, no you're not.
No, it just, it sounds so backwards, like you either want
to spend time with your family or you don't.
You've only been there for what,a couple days to a week?
We don't really know. And you're already looking for

(15:13):
ways to not spend time with yourfamily.
Yeah. Exactly.
She's already looking for the way out.
She's already trying to repeat the same pattern that they had
in the US and she just seems like she is deliberately setting
herself up for more failure as far as her family life goes by
taking this particular route. She could have looked for the

(15:34):
nine to five job. She could have just stayed away
and waited for Anthony to get his job, which presumably will
be full time. And then she could have just
been satisfied with whatever part time work it is that she
brought over with her because that's what we learned about her
in the first episode. But no, But no.
And how is your business going to succeed with you deciding,

(15:55):
oh, I'm going to take the weekend off and I'm not going to
work past 5:00 and I'm whenever my family needs me, I'm just
going to disappear? No, the beauty business is so
competitive. Like she's going into an
industry which is so incredibly hard to make a success in of
about whatever, you know? I'm following, I'm following and

(16:19):
and she doesn't like her business idea isn't unique.
So what is she going to do to set her product, her brand apart
from all of the other competitors?
Yeah. There's already a really huge
French brand, L'occitane, which is based in Provence in the
South of France, and they base all of their scents around the

(16:42):
lavender and all that stuff, so and that brand has been around
for decades. My sister got me a gift set for
Christmas one year. It's quite lovely stuff it.
Is nice stuff. Yeah, expensive too.
Shall we read on? This is when it gets creepy.
Oh. OK, good.
So this is Chloe and Jonathan. Bring on the creepiness.
What is OK? So he says that he wants to stop

(17:05):
sharing his location and she wants to prove to him that she
can trust him. So she says yes, and yet she
follows him. She work and watches him from a
tree. What?
She has done before, yes. Like and she brought her friend
along for the ride, too. Well, I mean, she had to bring
her friend because her friend has a car, so she's directing

(17:27):
her friend. Just go here, go there, keep
going straight. The friend doesn't even know
where they're going or what they're doing.
She gets ambushed. It's unhinged.
It's. Just it's so, it's so creepy,
like she wants him to trust her and yet she's stalking him.
Yes, she is that. That's very unsettling, yeah.

(17:47):
And like, what would she do if she sees Johnny swinging from
the rope with a woman on his back, which is what she
specifically asked him last timenot to do anymore because that
is her line in the sand. What's she going to do if she
sees that? She's going to have to admit to
him that she was spying on him from a tree, which is creepy, as

(18:07):
you said. And then what?
He's he's going to love it that she comes and creeps on him
during the day when he's working.
And he'll say, oh, baby, I love you so much.
That's that's so cute. OK, I'll stop.
I'll stop with the women on my back.
Like I had this vision of her just coming out from the bushes,
just screaming at him from the shore.

(18:30):
And again, you want to show him that you can trust him.
And then what if what if he doesdo something?
Are you going to out yourself? Are you going to go home and
then be all salty about it and just be a complete jerk?
And you can't tell him why? Because then he's going to know
that you've been stalking him, which obviously does not support
the advancement of trust. Absolutely.

(18:52):
Not it's just, it's just so. Ridiculous.
She's so. Yeah, I I have no sympathy for
Chloe in this particular instance.
She knew what he did for a living when she got together
with him. She knew this was part of how he
earns his money. He has shown her that he wants

(19:14):
to settle down. They have talked about being
together in this house and beinga family.
So why can't she just give him achance to prove that again?
I feel like this is a much like Madeleine situation where it's
just a case of the immaturity isshining through so so much.
There's no way that Chloe's going to be able to let go of

(19:38):
her jealousy unless he quit the job, which we know he's not
going to do because it's probably earning him tons of
money. Or unless she somehow matures or
gets advice from someone. And this is where I was hoping
mom would be there already but Iwhere is she?
Like why isn't she there yet? Have we not even had a week on
Aruba yet it feels. Like a month, yeah.

(20:00):
It feels like so much time and and yet mom said she would be
there within a week. So maybe if mom was there, she
would be able to say to Chloe, look, you're being a little bit
kooky. Stop hanging around in trees
spying on Jonathan. Give him some space.
No. You know, when her, when she
mentioned that she had a friend,I was like, OK, great, she's got
something to do with her time. Yeah.

(20:22):
She ends stop stalking him. I was like well that that didn't
work out very well and I felt bad for the friend.
I'm really surprised that the friend stayed around but I
wonder if it's because she was just so mind blown.
Like I can't believe that you'redoing this.
At what point does her friend say what was wrong with you?

(20:44):
Well, the. Friend does exist in the same
sphere that that Chloe does withhaving a boyfriend who is in the
hospitality industry. So she does relate to the
jealousy, I guess. But the stalking, that's.
Too far. It is way, way too far and I

(21:06):
found this to be very, very uncomfortable to watch.
Yeah. And what's Jonathan going to say
or think when he finds out that she's been hanging around in a
tree watching him from the shoreto make sure that he doesn't do
the things that she's asked him not to do?
I don't think he's going to. Take very kindly to that and you
know, he wants to settle down and he wants to have a family

(21:30):
and she obviously is not mature enough to do that.
No, and I feel like he wants to work with her through that
jealousy because they have had some somewhat calm conversations
about it. But this is a step too far.
If he sees this happening, if hefinds out about it, he's he's,

(21:50):
he's not going to be happy. He he's definitely is not, and I
wonder if this is what? He.
Will need in order to say, OK, we're done, you can go home.
Now, any other comments or observations from this very
strange week? Just one, I really appreciate
it. Fatia's snack bag, that was.

(22:11):
Cute, you know I. Always pack my water bottle, but
I never bring snacks, which is. I thought that was a really good
idea, yeah. It's good forethought.
It's Oh yeah. Do you have anything?
No there for for next week. The previews looked really
interesting and particularly thePatia and Dylan's mom dynamic.
Anyway, I can't wait for next week because this week left me

(22:34):
feeling a little bit down in thedumps, can't lie.
I found it very disappointing. And now I just want to go watch
something that's going to make me happy, which is not.
This. Which is done this new I can.
Think of at least one thing. I think you know what I'm going
to turn on after we go. Yeah.
