I’m in line at a fast food place.  I won’t say the name, but it’s a WHOPPER of a place. Anyway, I’m looking the menu over and the woman in the car behind me, a sweet Jaguar is losing her SHIT that I’m taking this long.  Honking, yelling out her window that my fat-ass should be eating salad. She’s too important to wait this long.. blah blah blah.  So I order, pull forward to the first window to pay.

Soccer mom order’s her food and revs up right behind me.  The young kid comes to take my money at window one and I tell them, look…let me pay for the car behind me as well.  I make it obvious as I lean out the window, point at her, point at me and make the “money” sign with my fingers.  The kid said…”sir…she’s really mean!” I told them…every so often, do something unexpected to make people smile during a bad day.  She’s looking like she feels really bad now.  Leans out and says, “I APOLOGIZE”. And all that.

So, I paid, asked for the receipts and went to the next window.  I told the kid there I paid for both orders, so give them to me.  They did and I drive off with my food and hers.  Making her go through the line again if she wants to eat.  Needless to say,…I’m now known at that particular drive through, and my order is ALWAYS correct!  It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice!!!!! My fat-ass should eat salad, but damn your chicken sandwich was the BEST I ever had!

Scientific expeditions, But unlike in the past years where
there was a concern about the area manager leaving the station
for the expedition, this year such is not a concern after I
resigned from the NSF to accept the director position with
Beauregard Lowing still being onstation has allowed for an
opportunity. We've never quite enjoyed having
a company executive physically travel to the Canadian station

(01:04):
to conduct operations in person.Resigned, you say?
I thought they sacked you. And you would be mistaken with
your assumption, Agent Fowler. Well, not the way I remember,
but nonetheless, here we are. And yeah, what are we doing here
again? We were discussing preparations

(01:26):
for Event 4. We're only 20 days away, people,
and I couldn't be more excited with just a hint of anxiousness.
Yes, Yes, Doctor, we all share your enthusiasm.
But let's contain our Glee and jocularity for the moment, shall
we? According to the data output
from ongoing monitoring by the Laser Inferrometer Space

(01:46):
Antenna, there seems to be a conflicting projections on the
appearance point determined by the same Monterey efforts the
week prior. Why?
The Lisa units, along with monitoring from Gravity Probe B
we had reactivated, indicate minute fissures in the local
gravitational constant, which wesuspect are causing localized
fluctuations in gravitational acceleration or subtle warping

(02:08):
of space-time, especially in regions of high curvature like
near black holes, neutron stars,or the approach of a null space
anomaly. No, and those fluctuations are
not only moving but increasing in decreasing bigger and
smaller. The potential appearance
randomly eats observational cycle.
The margin of error presently is±3 quarters of a mile on A2

(02:34):
dimensional plane. Of course, I'm sorry Mr. Y Axis,
no fun time for you this go round.
And I I'm working on a predictive algorithm which would
simulate the behavior of space-time around a fissure in
gravity using computational models and would help adjust and
account for any random directional shift on the
intersection of quantity and field theory and general
relativity where such a fissure might exist naturally.

(02:56):
Which would not only filter out the distortion, but in theory
help refine the exit aperture point to an even more precise
set of coordinates, but also strengthen the ability for
sensors to pinpoint the gravitational normally as it
traverses null space. Intriguing theory, doctor.
Perhaps it wasn't in the era having you added to Atlas.

(03:18):
What? You said that last bit out loud,
Wainwright. Oh, I'm aware.
Right, well before the science squad gets themselves wound up
like a broken clock. Can we tick a few things off the
list? I've picked Who's going to the
Canadian station doctors. Lorenzen, Dellum, you're up.
You'll be keeping an eye on whatever gravitational doodah

(03:41):
needs, minding some scientific nonsense I don't pretend to
understand nor care to. Oh, Shep, you're going to be
blown away by this station. All the advanced equipment and
technology, all It's like walking into, well, literally
the future. Plus, I can't wait to get my

(04:02):
hands all over those translucentarachnid carcasses.
Get up close and perform an. Exploratory dissection.
The other called. Exoskeleton against my bare
skin. Rose.
You have the weirdest idea for play, Doctor.

(04:22):
Moving on, Doctor Children. Present.
That's still up for debate. You'll stay here.
Track our progress from Atlas and try not to touch anything
that hums. No, happily, I'm too old to be
crossing nice tundras and exploring wandering dimensional
pocket ways and have enough problems travelling to little

(04:44):
scientists from late at night. The tinkle torium drip drip.
If you know what I. Mean Next up, we need an
engineer who knows they're us from a multimeter.
Somebody who won't panic. The second to light blinks red.
Yeah, Mr. Bustamante. Absolutely not up sex priority
one. I'm not about to hand Marshall,

(05:06):
Old Spice and his backup dancersanother excuse to poke about.
I told the DoD to keep him grounded, especially after
Marlowe's heroic cock up that got Waters killed.
They're agreed. I pick who goes tweedle dum and
tweedle bloody Dumber. Stay put, we're taking Drexler.
He. Smells like Berkeley, Mr.

(05:29):
Drexler. I thought you said seasoned.
He's just a boy and only has a few seasons on station, nowhere
near the experience level to be an acceptable selection.
He also possesses an insatiable need to vocalize every fleeting
thought that crosses his mind, regardless of its relevance.
Well, and tell us what you want,Lawrence.

(05:50):
What you really, really want. I want to hurt.
I want to hurt. I don't care who is selected
only so long as that person possesses the necessary
experience and capacity for maturity to understand the
magnitude of what they'll be asked to care for.
Yes, well, that boy who runs on at the mouth is the heir
apparent, Tziq Bustamante after his move to your old job.

(06:13):
His performance reviews over thelast three seasons have been
extremely favorable, if not colorful, and he has experience
in every mechanical and technical area within the
arches. A Jack of all trades, as they
say. Yeah, a Jack of all trades where
there's no one to shut up. I mean, silence can indeed be
golden, right? Plus, the most important aspect

(06:34):
is that the decision is mine to make.
I made it so the rest of you sawed off.
Sophisticatedly stated as always, Agent Fowler.
Oh, shut your gob. That leaves me and Wainwright.
I will be leading the expedition, of course.

(06:55):
Yes, Wayne, Right. You couldn't be more wrong.
I'm in. Charge.
That will absolutely not be the case.
All right, Granddad, you want todo this?
Let's do this. You are a government contractor
now, not the bloody boss. You are contracted to work on a
government project called Project Atlas.
And in that situation, who do you think the government is?

(07:18):
Oh, you are? Oh, I'm sorry.
Who is? Agent Jocelyn Fowler?
Jeopardy rules, I suppose. Yeah, suck it, Rebecca.
Spot on, Jovak, Master, the bloody obvious.
Usual. You will be in charge of all the
science operations and matters while we're on the station, but
I'm steering the bloody ship. I'm sure a simple phone call to
Beauregard lawyer. No call from your Lord to simple

(07:40):
anymore, Larry, Not after that genius from BOLO sold secrets to
the bloody Chinese. Took me sticking my own neck out
just to keep you off desk duty in a bunker somewhere next to
Joe. You vouched for me.
The Department of Defense begrudgingly gave their
authorization for you to attend so long as I was in command.

(08:00):
Absolutely insufferable. Now that that's sorted, let's
move on to the travel prep and see if we can manage 10 whole
minutes without another tantrum.Good morning, Deputy Marshall,

(08:32):
or I guess for you, it's good evening.
Hello Miss Kirkland, not a very good evening based on the e-mail
I just read. Oh.
Fast. I wouldn't worry about that.
I already heard Senator Hawk's staff were asking questions
about the takedown of Kylo McConnell and want more detail.
Miss Kirkland, they're asking people I used to work with
directly and people I've known for years, and they're telling

(08:55):
me the questions they're asking are very biased and seem motive
driven. From what I remember reading,
that incident was almost 10 years ago and was extensively
investigated by the Marshall, Honolulu PD and the State
Sheriff's Office. Not to mention the AG and each

(09:16):
agency came to the same conclusion.
It was a good shoot. Yeah, well then for an old case,
it is supposedly settled there, picking up a lot of dust.
Look. I still don't think there's much
to worry about, but for the sakeof argument, what are you
hearing about the questions being asked?
Questions around the initial tipoff, where it came from and if

(09:39):
that criminal informant was given favors in exchange for his
information. Questions around the
surveillance means used to ascertain the fugitive while
inside that specific home, and alot of questions around the
exigent circumstances of a warrantless search again.
Were all settled matters in the official investigations

(09:59):
conducted? Oh, right.
I almost forgot about that one. Sorry.
And questions around the internal agency investigations
where the matters were deemed lawful and therefore settled,
that too. None of the marshals I know or
have talked to have indicated they've ever went through this
level of vetting before their confirmation hearing.
Given the recent shift in the president's foreign policy, some

(10:21):
amount of additional scrutiny isn't unexpected.
You know, making sure there aren't any troublesome
international connections or ties.
But fast. Let's not get too worried here.
You were born and raised in the prairies of Kansas.
Doesn't get more apple pie and Yankee toodle than that.

(10:42):
Yeah, yeah. We'll try anymore on the start
date of the confirmation hearings.
Has there been a date set? Well, I was going to wait until
tonight when I expect to get official word from the Senate
Judicial Committee Clerk, but everything is pointing towards
the hearings taking place on Monday, April 24th.

(11:02):
Typically, the Director of the Marshals will get a courtesy
advance copy of the agenda saying who will be approved and
who the committee may wish to further question in this
session. And if we find out, they want to
question me. Will you stop that, Senator
Victor Hogs is chairman of the committee, and it's a very

(11:22):
publicly known fact that he is amajor booster and supporter of
the president. Stuart's so popular that I can't
foresee any way that would happen.
All right, a devil's advocate, Miss Kerman, humor me.
In Erie if they needed you to testify and give them the

(11:45):
circumstances of where you are and physical possibility of
current travel, there is a prescribed method which allows
for teleconference attendants and would be permissible.
Just please pays back. Promise me you'll be more
classed as full as we get closerto the date.

(12:09):
Yeah, don't worry about something until I have something
to worry about. Yeah.
You're not the first person to tell me this.
Oh, I'm sorry, Miss Kirkland, I have another call coming in.
No problem, I'm waiting for my next meeting anyway.
Hang in there Deputy, and remember glass half full.
Yeah. Thank you.

(12:29):
I will. Night, ma'am.
Good night. Hello, Supervisor Marshall
Deputy. Don't say my name, I'm on a
burner and I don't want anyone to know I'm calling you.
Are you all right? Are you safe?
What? Oh yes, yes you dumb ass.
I'm fine, it's not me I'm worried about.
The SAP phone Chuck sent you hasNSA type 1 encryption, and I

(12:52):
know because it was me who picked it out for Chuck to send
you. Bass, I can't be confident that
they won't try to intercept yourincoming calls, but I am
positive that my own cell and office are being tapped and
that's why I'm calling you this way.
And I'm also monitoring DoD and NSA satellite traffic on my
laptop as we're talking, just tomake sure.
They tapped your phone. Shut up for once in our lives,

(13:15):
and let me talk. OK.
They're digging into you bass hard.
Oh my God, person who I've nevermet before.
I already know that I have no shortage of people getting in
contact with me about my past case files, especially the
Macana debacle back in 2014. I'm sure you're going to Ding me
on that, Diane. Bass They're asking me questions

(13:37):
about Diane. What?
Very personal questions about your marriage, questions, the
accident, the aftermath, how youdealt with everything.
If they're going to try to get you on anything, it's going to
be about her. What did you tell them?

(13:57):
I am not. I am not a moron Mass.
I just told them the basics and I left out anything that would
paint you in a less than favorable light.
I knew they were going to try torailroad me, but I never thought
they would sink this low. It's.
It's the upper tier of who we work for, bass.

(14:20):
They'll do anything they need to.
They know your phone was just activated but they won't be able
to listen in for at least another 10 minutes.
Fucking lightweights. I could crack it at 4.
NSA type one or not? They're setting me up not just
to fail, but to discredit me. They're going to try to

(14:42):
humiliate me. And on national television, in
the court of public opinion, on the air, those confirmation
hearings, I'm going to look likean idiot.
Bastards, Beth. You need a lawyer that isn't
provided to you by the White House.
You need somebody on your side. Devil's advocate.

(15:02):
What? Wow, nothing.
I I got somebody in mind. He's one hell of a lawyer.
OK, I'm jumping off now. So the trace fails, although at
this rate we could probably talkabout whatever you want.
OK, Remember that trip you and your friends were talking about
taking? Yeah, not the one domestically,
the original destination that I won't stay on the line
regardless. I know where you made.

(15:22):
Take it, I'll bankroll you. I'll bankroll you and all your
girlfriends. Hell, I'll even bankroll what's
his name? The one you're dating.
Steady now. How the hell did you know that
he and I had gotten? Damn it.
Beth every time. I fall for that.
Every time. Yeah, look, just be safe, OK?

(15:45):
And, and get ghosted. I look I I look forward to
seeing you soon. Same here.
Recording started. Franklin, the supervisory

(16:15):
deputy. Mark, you probably already smell
who it is. Can we chat for a minute?
Let me guess, just like the courtroom procedural drama I'm
watching here, you need legal advice.
How did you know? All everybody comes down here
for is legal advice. Once, just one time.

(16:38):
I'd love to hear, Will. Hi, Franklin.
Just coming to check up on you and have a social call or?
Hey, Franklin, what can you tellme about cryptocurrency
investing or even Franklin, my man, I hear you're a demon in
the sheets. How about some pointers, Deputy
Marshall? I can show you how to perform
Satan's death charge. Doctor Jennings will be walking

(16:58):
funny for days. All right, all right, I get it.
Look, this is serious situation and serious business to the
United. Honestly, use your expertise.
And I could use a favour, a realliberating favour.
And you know I can't let you outof the tube, frankly.
Which is why I'm not asking for that.
Uh huh. Look, even though I don't

(17:21):
honestly believe I have a soul, they even exist.
I'm going to hedge my bets and not agree to part of it.
Oh, you walking apes all have one, I assure you.
But no, that's not what I'm asking for either.
Then what? Just tell me already 'cause I'm
not here to play games and if you can't help then I'm.
I want to watch Buddy A. Watch.

(17:42):
That's it. I can get you a watch.
No no no no. Watch hyphen buddy.
Somebody to binge watch television shows with.
Somebody to talk to about the plot, share ideas, theories that
don't involve going online to the cesspool of humanity that is
message forms. Why would I care what some

(18:03):
creeper in his mom's basement thinks?
That's it. You don't want your freedom or
souls to eat or whatever other demon perversions you're into.
You want somebody to watch television?
Of course I want to get out of here and yes, I'll take whatever
souls I can get started to go through withdrawals in here, the

(18:28):
perversions I have, who's it's what it's glory I'd love to try
out. But yeah, ATV watch buddy,
that's my ask. All right, one show.
We'll watch this series together, 1 episode a week.
That specific date and time we watch, we'll have to play it by
ear. Reasonable terms I get to pick

(18:50):
the series. No greater than five seasons
2010 Note not a trailer or a teaser.
More. Done.
The bargain is struck. Won't get beyond the cover of
Demon Deals Digest, but AW is AW.
It's Franklin's time to shine. All right, what's the legal

(19:20):
advice you need, Javier? In the process of gathering
information on my background in history with the Marshall
Service, the Senate Judiciary Committee is interested in a
particular old case of mind. Yeah, Cheryl Lynn popped in a
few weeks back and mentioned something about that.
Nothing like being the last one to hear about what happens on
the station. Let me tell you.
How do you know they're interested?

(19:42):
People I work with, Colleagues, friends all have got in contact
with me to let me know questionsare being asked and old details
are being scrutinized. OK, tell me about this case of
yours. What happened?
It was about 10 years ago we were on loan to the District of
Oregon to assist with task forceoperation, going after the worst
fugitives they had. It was the Pacific Southwest

(20:04):
Regional Fugitive Task Force. That's not a very catchy name.
I thought you cops all had catchy names like Operation
Clean Sweep or Operation Payback.
Yeah, not every time anyway. So one of the jackets were given
was from a shipper named Halo Makana.
Ironically he had fled 3 times from prosecution.
Needless to say I was very familiar with him given two of

(20:26):
his three returns to custody were by me.
I was anxious to go for the three peep, but this go around
he fled from Honolulu and was hiding in Eugene, OR.
So we're working a handful of cases we have when one of our
other people on my unit gets some information from his
criminal informant says he has some news about one of the guys
we're looking for. Surprise, surprise, it's my boy
Mcconnor. According to CI, Kayla was

(20:48):
staying with an old friend in the West University Eugene
neighborhoods. The informant was looking for a
deal on upcoming possession of stolen goods case he was staring
at, so the local Marshall's office agreed to drop those
charges if his tip panned out. Following so far.
Three of us stake out the address, a known drug pad when
we watch from her surveillance unit may not to look like a work
fan. Thankfully, it didn't take long

(21:09):
at all before we saw him exit a car and head in the duplex
address that we give. We call it in, ask him a warrant
issued from the local magistrateto enter the address and secure
McConnell. See, we had arranged to have a
rotating judgment with 24 hours for exactly this reason.
So we expect within one or two hours to have a warrant and have
local police assist in the execution.
Let me guess, that's where things went S with the warrant?

(21:33):
No, we got the warrant all right, but not until it's 90
minutes too late. We're waiting for a copy of the
sign warrant to be driven down to us and have the unis get
prepped when it all went silence.
See, this car pulls up a real hoopty piece of crap thanks to a
stop in front of the house, and this guy gets out dragging a
woman who was kicking and screaming up the drive into the
house, smack her across the headand telling her to stop yelling

(21:55):
for help. OK, all right.
I see where this is starting to go.
What happened next? We had a call to make.
We had to make it right then andthere.
We all heard and saw the woman screaming for help, we saw her
resisting efforts to enter the house, and we were all aware of
at least one dangerous and wanted felon who was also
inside. We radioed quickly to SITREP and

(22:16):
request him to get back up. All three of us agreed we can't
wait given the circumstances andwe have to make the entry now.
So we stack up, announce ourselves and ram the door.
Soon as we go in there's a junkie on the couch smoking
meth. You raise a gun towards us and
it's handled. Immediately we call in, shots
fired and all hell starts breaking news inside the house.
So these geniuses have put bars in all the windows because of

(22:38):
the constant break insurance so none of them can bolt out except
coming down the stairs past us and essentially we cornered
frightening animals all around us and didn't know how it number
would be. I send the other two marshals
upstairs to clear the 2nd floor and I proceed ahead myself.
The first room is empty and nobody in the corners.
As I approached the next door I could hear muffled screams go
past it. Last room down the hall which

(23:01):
was the kitchen was able to clear it and headed back to the
door with the muffled screams. As soon as I announced myself,
Bulletzer come flying to the door.
I discern 2, maybe 3 shooters from inside with backups still a
ways away and there's somebody screaming inside.
I did what I needed to do. Bust through the door, guns
blazing, shooting the bad guys. No, no, back in the kitchen I

(23:23):
saw a fire extinguisher. I take it from there, punch it
through the drywall between the studs into their room and follow
with a flashback. It goes off and I use the damage
from the extinguisher and the percussion from the grenade to
the drywall and barge through. Order them to drop their
weapons. The electives start firing
wildly so I shoot both of them and stop and control the
situation. Fortunately with all the panic

(23:44):
fire, the young lady they brought into the house was hit
and passed away. Backup arrives.
Various agency investigate the incident and the matter leading
up to state, local, US in the marshals, US Attorney General
who loves to make our lives hell.
Everybody and their sister looked into this one.
So who was the dead girl? Oh, a local girl who lived
nearby. Apparently her brother owed one

(24:06):
of the men inside the house money, so he kidnapped her to
make him pay. Oh, bummer.
Yeah, since it was me we did this shooting.
The marshals had jurisdiction and LED the internal
investigation with coordination from the Eugene police and
findings were the decisions made, while perhaps not optimal,
were proper marshals acted in good faith, responding to the

(24:28):
cries for help, made a decision that any reasonable person would
have made. Although we didn't have a
warrant in hand, there were exigent circumstances that
allowed us to enter. We were acting on credible
information from a known and prudent CI.
So forth and so on. If it was already investigated,
if you and the other two marshals were cleared, why do
you think the senator's staff islooking so hard at this?

(24:51):
Because they want to find something to use as ammunition
to get my confirmation rejected for that reason.
Something that will discredit meor make me not the posture board
of the US Marshals and tarnish my reputation.
Franklin, I'd like you to revieweverything on this case and tell
me where the most likely areas are they may try to use and help
me prepare against it. I need copies of everything you

(25:16):
have or you can get me on this case, the notes and reports,
local agencies, the review and investigation emails.
Everything I have all that already had to gather it for the
pre hearing background review. I can e-mail it all to you.
What's your address? Yeet under score Master under

(25:38):
score 69 in numbers not letters at TikTok phonetic.com I.
Have no idea what that's supposed to mean and I probably
don't want to. I can start emailing you files
in about an hour. Franklin, I appreciate you
looking into this. Oh.

(25:58):
No need to thank me, I'm gettingsomebody to watch.
Verdict impossible with. Wait, that's the show you're
watching? Kendra has been watching that
too. He's a complete fanatic about
that show. Wait, you're into it as well
though? Oh.
Nobody was more surprised than me at how accurately they got
courtroom procedures, as well ashow dysfunctional a law practice

(26:18):
can really be. I'm also convinced I've met the
woman who is playing a possessedcourt stenographer.
If I'm right, she really is one of us.
Talk about method acting. Let me talk to Kenner to figure
out how this can work. I will honor my promise and our
deal, but yeah, I need to squarethings with her as well.

(26:42):
By all means, bring the good doctor.
Along. No, no, no, the merrier.
That's not what I meant and I don't want now this one's doozy.
Recording stopped. Oh well, good afternoon to you
Agent Fowler. I hope you brought your appetite

(27:03):
today. Because I've beef Stew on mash
bread. Hold the chin wag.
Coming right up, Oh it's such a treat to get to make dishes for
our international visitors. I've been reading up on some of
the more traditional UK fair andI can't.
Wait, Beef Stew? Mash bread.
OK, well, I appreciate someone who is all business there.

(27:25):
Here you go. Hope you enjoy.
Hello there, mind if I join you?Yes.
Oh, thank you. No, I meant yes, I do mind if

(27:50):
you join me. I want to enjoy my lunch in
peace. I don't do conversation.
I won't take up too much of yourtime.
We've been here on station for amonth now and I wanted to
introduce myself. I know who you are, mate.
You're the feelings doctor aheadof the crackers brigade.
The psychologist who can read minds.
Brema. Lawrence filled you in on that,

(28:13):
did he? Most time, he opts to keep that
little cuddle under wraps, make sure nobody gets intimidated or
scared. I can't relay how much I truly
don't care. Now why don't you be an
outstanding lad and go stand outthere.
Well, you see Jocelyn, this is where it make it a bit awkward.

(28:36):
Per Beauregard, Lowing and the National Science Foundation all
went overs need to see me once amonth.
It's mandatory. I was supposed to have been
given an exemption from Beauregard Lowing from you
shrinking my head. Madeleine Dante should have
cleared that. Recheck your e-mail queue.
I spoke to Lawrence about that afew weeks ago and he said now

(28:57):
that he was in the directorship of R&D, defence and military
applications, the decision fell to him.
He mentioned something about careful deliberation and felt
that would still be merit. And you've seen me.
He what? I'm sure you're going to want to
check with him and confirm that.I mean, you just met me now, so
I don't blame you if you want toverify.

(29:19):
Does he think I'm going to lose my bottle?
That I can't hack it. I I don't think that's it.
Lawrence is a very unique individual, shall we say, and
well, he may not have all the standard social niceties, but in
his own weird way, I honestly believe he cares for people.
Oh bollocks, he doesn't care foranybody other than his own self.

(29:41):
He's trying to intentionally getme sacked.
Thinks I'll spill all about the.Again, anything that I pick up,
shall we say, I cannot share unless you're planning to murder
somebody or cause massive harm. Only then would I be able to
divulge what I know, but only information pertaining to that

(30:03):
murder. Nothing else could be ever
revealed. Oh, if you see me, you're going
to get a master unique class on all intentional homicide brema.
Look Jocelyn, I know you're fileand background, but I don't know
you and until I can assess whether the threat is real, I'll
just attribute it to a hot temper.

(30:24):
How about that? Oh come on, seeing me isn't that
bad really. In this harsh, isolated
environment, mental well-being is crucial, especially during
your first winter over which canbe the hardest.
Oh, Wainwright is going to pay dearly for this one.
Look, I know my office isn't where you want to be.

(30:46):
You've built your life on strength, discipline, and
pushing through. But real strength isn't just
enduring, it's knowing when to maintain what keeps you
operational. You wouldn't ignore a jammed
weapon, so why ignore your own mind?
You wouldn't be seeing me because you're weak.
No, you'd be there because you refuse to be the weak link.

(31:11):
Ignoring the weight doesn't makeit disappear, it just makes it
heavier. If you respect the mission,
well, then you respect staying sharp, reliable, and in control.
That takes work, just like everything that you've mastered,
and nobody expects you to like this process.
But if you respect the mission, then you respect the need to

(31:32):
keep yourself operational. And if that means checking in,
tuning up and facing whatever's rattling around in your head,
then so be it. If you think I'm going to
surrender my mind. Surrender, Jocelyn.
It's making sure that you stay in control and control well,
that is something I know that you understand.

(31:52):
Your file says you have 5 combatdeployments in the Mideast with
MI 39 and we're attached to SAS operations.
I mean, if you can handle that, you can handle this.
I believe in you. So what do we say we've got
through all this posturing and get you into the session?
How's next week? Recording started.

(32:15):
Looks like Sydney's trying to convince Jocelyn of something.
They're over on the other end ofthe galley and I definitely
don't want to get in the way. I'll just sit over here on this
side so I can keep my eye on them and jump in if I need to
help. Here you go, Mr. Marshall
Marlow. Hot, Creamy.
Potato soup with a sight of ham.Still just deputy for now, Miss

(32:39):
Alice, but thank you nonetheless.
Oh, you're very welcome. There, Now you go eating all
that while it's still hot. Need to get some more meat on
them bones, don't you know? Thank you again.
OK, let's do this quickly while my soup is cooling off Thursday,
March 23rd. This is Supervisory Deputy

(32:59):
Marshall Bass Marlow and this isme in a holding pattern while I
wait something more to happen. It's 1300 hours and I'm in the
Munson Scott galley. No investigation, just holding
still. I despise holding still.
Anyway, I'm looking more into the files I received a few

(33:22):
months back from Charlie after his passing and everything that
he was given on the station and the elusive Tesla Journal by
this Mr. Gable. Mr. Gable was the cover name for
the individual giving all the files and documentation for most
everything we know about the journal to date.
And the fact that Gable was ChazWolford's handler back in 2002

(33:44):
when he witnessed the murder, and Wolford being on the station
20 years later is too much a coincidence to accept.
It reinforces to me that the journal was either left and
hidden on the station by the previous owner when he attended
the station christening, or hidden somewhere close by.
Both DARPA and Beauregard Lowings seem intent on getting
it, which obviously means we need to find it first to ensure

(34:06):
we keep it out of the long hands.
Gabel provided Charlie a way to get in contact with any needed
relay information on what was going on down to Scott.
Charlie would take out an ad in the legal notice section of the
Poughkeepsie Journal using specific words he was given by
Gable. It would look like a generic
legal notice, a number or an e-mail be provided for Gable to

(34:28):
call Charlie back on, and I'm contemplating putting an ad
myself in attempts to get more information from Gable and see
if we can get more information on this journal, more
importantly, where it might be hidden on the station.
I'm going to talk to Kendra thisevening.
We're going to pass to her for her thoughts as well.

(34:48):
Also, an interesting yet curiousitem of note, I received radio
calls from both my special Marshall's Basin, Palmer,
McMurdo. Both said there's been reports
of U.S. Navy vessels out on their
horizon. Both of their stations are
situated on the shore, so ships out in the ocean aren't that
unusual. However, U.S.
Navy ships multiple times as many weeks and being spotted not

(35:11):
just by the US stations but by many other international
stations on our shores is unusual.
Best we can figure at this pointis it's President Campbell just
showing the flag to the other stations, rattling savers, if
you will, making sure they're aware of the United States is
always out there. It's definitely Campbell's style
to a tee. In other news, I've sent down

(35:34):
all the files and documents I have on the organ shooting I was
involved with to Franklin for review.
He said based on the initial read, he should be able to come
up with top four or five most likely items that legal team
would try to build upon to make me look bad.
And once we have that defined, he thinks it shouldn't be too
hard to go up with a strategy tobeat them at their own game and

(35:55):
be prepared for whatever they come at us with.
And yeah, I'm not sure my feelings in partnering up with
Franklin on this. I know Zeke's thoughts would be,
so no need to check in with him.Yes.
And Speaking of Franklin, I havea debt I need to start paying
off. I spoke to Kendra and filled her

(36:17):
in about the show both of them are interested in and how he
wants to binge it with me. And her suggestion is not one I
honestly care for. But I reluctantly agreed, trying
my best to balance everything inmy life down here and keep what
Sydney said in mind. That I can't be a shepherd for

(36:39):
everybody, that people need to make up their own minds.
Well, and her made-up hers, no doubt about that.
I truly don't care for the compromise she came up with, but
I'm going to deal with it. Recording stopped.
Now back to verdict. Impossible.

(37:02):
Mr. St. Quicks, you best have a
reasonable explanation of this outburst.
This court has never and will never take homicide victims
testifying. Through.
Ouija boards as credible testimony is.
Somehow inadmissible. I can't believe Damien made a
deal with the Medium to get in contact with Jim Castle's recent

(37:24):
victim. What choice did he have, really?
The Irish mob was going to go public with the sort of details
of his illegitimate twin daughters, Jade and Emerald.
This is hard for me to follow. So Castle killed the mobster
Montana. No, Sweetie Castle was set up by

(37:45):
Baron von Keutermach to make sure it looked like he murdered
Montana. Nobody knows yet who the real
murderer is. I think it's Chet.
No way. Chet was at the Jazz Festival
upstate for the Hobie Hancock weekend, they said.
He missed the last one, remember?
Yeah, that's what he told Delilah who he was.

(38:07):
The cheating order? That's right.
Oh, he was knocking boots with the school principle for
opposing counsel's niece. Take it from me, Doctor, and the
secret and illicit love affair the right way.
Killing isn't that far a stretch.
Actually. Pretty easy to bridge the two if
I need to. Killing isn't that far a

(38:29):
stretch. Taking out a contact spark on
that kind of statement might suggest criminal attempt.
Yes. Franklin, do you have to breathe
down our necks? You're the ones who wheeled in

(38:50):
the love seat and pushed it up against the tube.
That's because there's only one electrical outlet in this room.
If you want to watch together, this is the only place we could
set it up and be comfortable. By all means, you both should
get as comfortable as you can, kick off your shoes, cuddle
under the blankets, and should you want to get to second or
third base while we watch. I'm sure Franklin wouldn't

(39:13):
understand. Not going to happen.
What are you boys? Just already.
Attention, more emotion. Oh, make it into national.
Get rushing hands and Roman fingers.
Oh hey, show her Satan's death charge that I told you about.
Stop. Great.
How did Emma Doctor get out of holding already?

(39:34):
Well, if you 2 Chatty Cathies would pay attention to the show
instead of playing Pata cake with one another, you may not
miss so much. Wow.
Sorry, Doctor. That's better.
Just besides, we can't do Satan's depth charge without a
hot tub and two shots of Jägermeister.
Wait, how do you? How do you?
How are you familiar with all the memorial?

(39:55):
Don't answer that doctor objection case.
