(00:00):
What's up, guys, It's agirl Alexandria Ikimoni in the studio iHeartRadio with
the one and only the real foodStalker. How you doing today, I'm
doing great. I can't complain,man, I'm just happy y'all had me
on. Yes, I'm happy wegot you on. I mean we've been
stalking your page because you are thego to guy in Atlanta for all of
the good spots to eat. Gotto shout out my brother. He put

(00:22):
me onto your page first of all, and then as soon as I got
hooked, I'm looking for like, where's he going? What's going on?
Yeah? Yeah, I appreciate thatlove. That's the thing I love the
most when people tell other people likeyeah, don't just keep it to thyself
that, like, hey man,you need to check out. I love
it when it happened like that.Yes, because you go to unique spots,
so you're really putting everybody onto thegood spots in Atlanta. I just

(00:45):
like the chains and like the popularspots. But mom and pops all that
stuff, so got to give youyour credit and of course a lot of
love it being shown more than halfmillion followers on social media between TikTok and
Instagram. Of course that homework. It's my job. So tell me more
about how it feels to have sucha big community and a big fan base
following you and watching what you eat. I mean, it really just feels

(01:07):
like I don't know it, don'tIt don't like feel like really a lot
to me, other than when peoplecome up to me. But I feel
like everybody who follow me, Idon't feel like they follow us every feeling
like they my people. So likewhen we whenever people see me out,
they talk to me, we mighthave a conversation, So it really feel
more like my people, like howI might talk to my friends. Yeah,
yeah, it ain't. It don'treally feel like nothing. I'm gonna

(01:29):
be honest. I don't feel likeI don't now. I feel like something
if it's a long line at arestaurant, yea, and they be like,
hey, fools, like let melet me let you slide, all
right, I'm gonna accept the person. I accept there all the persons.
But it's cool though. Yeah,it's cool to have grew up in Georgia.

(01:49):
You know, I'm originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but I've been out
here like most of my life.So it's just cool to see people just
be like hey man. You know, you get a lot of people that
you grew up with you up like, hey man, I see you doing
your thing. I'm just like justdoing the same thing I've been doing because
people always call me and say,hey man, where can I go eat
it? I just started doing itonline and it went crazy. But the

(02:12):
weird thing is, I ain't evendo it for that reason. Yeah.
I did it because my daughter waslike, man, it takes two thousand
followers on TikTok to go live. She couldn't go live. So I was
like, I'll start a page upso we could go live. I started
the page, got the two thousandfollowing, I'm like, we can go
live, and she was like, like kids do I don't want to do
it no more. Then I justkept up with it and it just went

(02:35):
Yeah. And how long ago wasthat, by the way, when you
decided to really thank you? Itwas twenty twenty one, so it might
have been like almost going on threeyears. Yeah. Yeah, it just
when I tell you, I wasjust telling my daughter was like, you
ain't gonna be able to get nofollowing. It's like watch me. I
like hold on, I like holdon. I might I might be older,
but I'm still cool. I swear. Yeah, Like I don't know

(02:59):
about that. Like you ain't growup with me, you just know me.
So that was crazy. Yeah, that's really cool, really cool that
you were able to just really dothat really for her in a sense.
But blossoming is something for yourself. Now, you made a brand for yourself.
And why did you decide to makethe brand about the food? Yes,
you were talking about you know, people would ask you, but you

(03:21):
could have posted anything on TikTok andInstagram. So I did food because that's
what I love most outside of myfamily and all that my friends. It's
food. That's what I've always beenknown for. Like when I was growing
up, we would go to McDonald'sand my other cousin he's not here,
but if he was here, likein here, he could tell y'all.

(03:42):
We used to go order from McDonald'sand this is what McDonald's food was,
Like, you know, that's whatwe were eating. Yeah, so I
might order like two quarter pounders anda double cheeseburger and some fries. Man,
what is you do? And thenat the end of the at the
end of the ride when I'm donewith it, He's like, bro,
you just ate what are you doing? But and then as I got older,

(04:04):
when I started, you know, going out on dates and stuff,
I would always try to find likeI would find cheap spots that with good
dates spots, and I find aspecial spot so that like my first date
would always be like a cheap spotbut it was good. Yeah, it
couldn't really be like it took mehere. Yeah, it could be like
he ain't spend a lot of money, but the food was good. I

(04:25):
want to get to know you.So it was always on. I was
always trying different places. So thenmy friends started like, well you always
be eating. Where can I goeat? I want to impress somebody,
all right, you're trying to spend. So people just always did that.
Yeah, and so I was liketrying to spend. So it just always
was that. But I ain't neverthink of social media because social media wasn't
really big when I was eating.Makes sense, okay, And you're talking

(04:46):
about cheap spots on dates, there'salways a whole conversation of if the cheesecake
factory is an acceptable date for thefirst date or other spots in that category,
where do you say, yeah, you're married, now you got a
girl. But tell me more aboutif that's an acceptable spot. I'm saying
any spot is acceptable. I reallyfeel like I don't feel like it should
be about the money. I alwaysfeel like it should always be about a

(05:10):
connection. And if it's good food, it's good food. I don't think
there's places that I would rather goit's cheap than it is places that cost
a lot. So I don't thinknecessarily somebody spending a couple of hundred on
the first date, I don't findit cool. I mean, I understand
that's when your first date and that'swhat you're feeling like going to eat cool,
y'all do that. But if it'sa date and y'all really trying to

(05:31):
get to know each other, getto know each other, somebody spending five
hundred ain't really getting to know Unlessfire the money is what you want,
then you're getting to know them whatyou want to. But for me,
it would be let's go somewhere thatjust got good and have a good time,
get to know each other right somewherethat's quiet. We can talk and
we can you know, we canget to know each other, like me
and my wife still do that, you know, to this day, where

(05:54):
we go somewhere we know, allright, if we got the arguing,
we're finna go eat somewherehere it's loudbecause like talking to each other. So
we finished, all right, westill love each other. We're finna go
somewhere where we ain't really just gonnaeat and then maybe we'll feel different after
we eat and ride back. Yeah, But then we had them days.
We had great days and were like, all right, let's go somewhere where
it's quiet, we can talk.So it just depends on what you're feeling.

(06:15):
That makes sense. I love it. So talk about your wife.
The first date, did you takeher out to somewhere to eat or did
you go somewhere else? And whenwe first met, I met her she
was working. She was selling someclothes and I was I was trying to
get a discount of something. Shewas in here and that buying the stuff,
and we ended up going out onher lunch break, so her life

(06:36):
break. It wasn't long. SoI had to find something in the city.
So we ate somewhere in the city. I can't remember what was our
first They might have been a sandwichspot, but we ate us a sandwich
spot, and then we walked underground. They used to have these arms.
He can that it's like covered likecandy or something really good. And we
know we ate those walking around talkingand they say, you know, man,

(06:58):
you know when you when you're goingout, you go out with somebody
and then you want to go outagain. Y'all go out again and go
out again. Then y'all at awhole other level. So that's how I
went with us. We were justgoing out eating. She blamed me for
like gaining any all you want todo is eat. I'm like, oh,
you wanted was start Wars like youwas drinking all that Star Wars.
Star Wars, God, don't putweight off just as much as okay,

(07:18):
yeah, shout out the Star Wars. We love it, but there's some
calories and those Starbucks trains. SoI started drinking. I ain't never even
drink cof on that for me,like she put me on to like drinking
Star Wars like, She's like, order me up. One of the first
time she said, order me aVincy. So every time I wanted,
I was messing it up. Letme get up. What is it but

(07:38):
nothing? Then she like tall meansmall, yeah, all the way,
throwing off. I love it.That's cool, that's cool. Okay.
When I first met you, bythe way, I asked you, what
is your favorite spot to eat at? You gotta tell the people. Now
I want to know one more time. Your go to spot in Atlanta,
the spot for the real foodstocker?Where is it? Now? Remember I

(08:01):
told you I said it depends onthe food. Yes, So if we
were talking steaks, like we weretalking states, and I said, my
two main state spots really is likeFrankiees and Enzo. So those are my
two like go to spots. AndI like Kevin rathbu and too. But
my go to spot if i'm it'sso far from me to ride to,

(08:22):
but I go to it, it'sFrankies because they had these little as I
love. They're like a little likea little light bulb. They're like a
little ball, but you eat.I can eat onions by themselves. So
that's why I want to do thatin and out Burger everybody doing where they
are just the ons on the outside. I want to do that so bad.
I ain't been out of town,so yeah, but yeahs and man,

(08:43):
they got really good steak and thenthey got this cake. It comes
out it's like twenty dollars, butit can feed like six people. It
comes out by this tass one sliceand then they come out they do all
that. Everybody get a slice.Oh yeah yeah. Frankiees is like my
go to for steaks. Okay isbig on wings. So let's talk about
the best place for wings in youropinion, and who has the best lemon

(09:07):
pepper wings. I need those allright, So I'm gonna tell you one
of my like American deli is oneof my favorite wings, but only American.
All the American delis are different. That's I'm not gonna sit here and
be like, hey, you goto any American. This certain ones the
one it's one in McDonald on JonesboroRoad that has a really good honey hot
wing, really good. But thenthere's a spot right next door to them

(09:30):
called Boba May. They have areally good honey. It's a honey hot
garlic pepper, which is crazy good. And then you have strikeout wings.
Got a wing called the Sassy, but then you have a lemon pepper.
There's a spot called wings on wheatwings on wheat and they're mount Zine.

(09:52):
They have a wing called Honey.I need any ranch limit pepper pepper.
The best lemon pepper when I everhad, and it's like it's almost like
you ain't even got a dip andno blue cheese or ranch. I use
both. It just depends on howto say I didn't eat. Yeah,

(10:13):
it just depends on how I feel. But they have the best lemon pepper.
But it's not just a traditional limonpepper. If that qualifies for your
lemon pepper, it's lemon pepper.Ranch. I'll take it. I do
love ranch, so I'll try itout. And I'm making my little mental
list. So I'm gonna you justtell me when period and now I go
grass some and I promise you brain. Okay, sounds like a plan.
I'll take it. I'll take it. Now. You are the go to

(10:35):
for food and knowing the hot spotsin Atlanta, and you also have a
podcast coming out because we want toknow more. We can't just take only
the clip of social media. Sotell me more about this podcast. All
right? So the podcast is weall can It's gonna be about it's not
gonna be just about food. It'sgonna be about the everyday life that anybody
that I have come on there. It's not gonna be just celebrities. It's

(10:56):
gonna be you know, it's gonnabe some celebrities, some people who just
working nine to five. They're justgiving, you know, advice about life,
you know, because some people can't. A celebrity might not be what
somebody here. It might be aguy who working nine to five because maybe
this person feels like I don't neverwant to wrap, I don't ever I'm

(11:16):
not gonna make it as an athlete, or I'm gonna working nine to five
my whole life, and they're gonnaneed to hear from somebody like that.
So I got some people that areretired who made it that time, because
it's gonna be people who are gonnastick to one job and they might need
to know that mentality because I didn'thave that mentality every time I worked the
job. Man, couldn't it justI just I just couldn't see myself.

(11:39):
I never got the chance to workthe job that I love. Like some
people find a job and they't love. I've seen the positions that I know
that I would love, and Ialways got passed over, so just never
was able to just do it.But my mom did it. She's no
longer here, but she worked somewhere. She worked at the library for like

(12:00):
some years, and she did it, and I was just going through it.
I'm like, dang, I coulddo that, and then every time
workings out like damn, I can't. And then I never asked her.
That's what. That's one thing Iregret that I never asked her, is
like, how did you do it? I never asked my mama that,
But I probably never asked. Iprobably didn't want to know because then they

(12:20):
probably would have put me in asituation where I did it, So I
never asked. But yeah, butthat's gonna be the thing about the podcast.
You don't touch so many different peoplein so many different ways. Yeah,
and it's still gonna be about alittle food. Man. I might
have people bring restaurants brain food in. Maybe maybe I'm getting big enough to
where I get that pool where they'llbe like, yeah, we would love
to bring the food in. Absolutely, So hopefully you know, we get

(12:41):
to that point. Podcast, Butit's gonna be about food. We're gonna
we got some of your favorite celebrities. You're gonna know what they like.
You're gonna figure out their favorite restaurantsand stuff like that. I love it.
So when can we expect the firstepisode to drop? All right,
So I'm gonna be real right now, I'm waiting on my guy. His
name, he's on Instagram marvelous,marvelous was I can't. He's doing some

(13:03):
work on it. He's doing mywalls right now, he's putting my TVs
up. I'm hoping he's gonna cometoday too. I need to call him
and say, hey, man, you're still showing up because I really need
to get it done. That's thethat's the major thing. I can get
that done. As soon as Iget done it, I'm working, I'm
going So it's just like the foodthing, and people who follow me know
I go out to eat like almostevery day I do. People always want
to eat at home. Yes,my wife does cook. I do eat

(13:26):
at home, the kids do eatat home, but I do eat out
a lot. But yeah, thepodcast is coming so soon. It's gonna
be one of the dopest podcasts youever see. I don't even want to
call it a podcast. I wantto just change the name of it because
there's so many podcasts popping up,so I will change the name. It's
not gonna be called the podcast.I'm gonna figure out a new name.
I'm here for it. Yeah, when I come forward, when I get
it, I'm gonna call you. You're gonna be the first friend to thank

(13:48):
you. But it's gonna be calledWe All Can Eat. It just feels
like everybody can eat. It's likethere's enough money in the world for everybody.
If everybody. You know, it'sa movement. It's sound like it's
a movement. It's gonna be.It's gonna be. Man, I love
it. And you're talking about youeat almost every day, And I've always
had this question because I see peoplewho eat out every day, But how
do you stay looking good in shape? Like how do you how do you

(14:11):
balance? Do you eat salads inthe morning or I be praying that's right.
My mama won't tell you something mymama instilled in me, she said.
My mom was brutally honest. She'slike, baby, you're not tall,
you're short, so you had adisadvantage. Baby, don't you be
short and round? So said,I said, shorten round? She said,

(14:31):
baby, I'm just telling you it'snot gonna look good on you.
It's some people that shortened round lookgood on it. It's not you.
I said, oh okay, SoI mean I walk a lot. I
do a lot of walking. Yeah. Sometimes a lot of mornings I wake
up to just water and through. So if I have a big meal or
if I have a bunch of reviews, I'm gonna do it one day.

(14:52):
I'm probably that's probably all okay,So then I don't. But I'm gonna
start working out though, because youknow, it is catching up a little
bit. I raced the guy atwas that sweet Auburn and McDonald. We
had a race. Yeah, Iran it. I beat him the first
time. Yeah, I was likecool, So he was like, let's
race again. I'm thinking to myself, I shouldn't do that. I raced

(15:13):
him again in one but I paidfor it the next day. We're not
allowed to shape. Everything was source. So now I'm gonna start working out.
I'm gonna really give my body achance get back to help. Yeah,
but it's good that you're walking onsome form of cardio, so you
know when you can we get whenwe do our annual Universal on Disney trip

(15:33):
and keep up with the steps. So while we're out there eating, we
might do ten miles a day,and then we usually go for four days,
so we get like thirty to fortymiles in four days. It's crazy,
but we don't do that a lot. We want to go out there
like two to three times a yearduring that time. That makes sense.
That's great. Okay, Well talkto me more about other things you are
working on this year or are wejust focusing on the podcast? Not call

(15:56):
the podcast and they we're calling ita year? Like what else we have
going on on here right now?I got a butter sauce out. Florida
style butter sauce is called food stuckor struck gold. I wish I would
have brought a bottle with me,but I didn't. People can buy that
from the website on my and mybio. They can catch me out in
the streets somebody. So that's areally good butter. So if it's somebody

(16:17):
who you know do crab boys andthey crab boys do not be seasoned,
well they can get this butter andafter they finish their crab boy, they
can just drizzle that butter on itand give me a whole nother taste,
all right. And then after thatthere's this guy. He got a chip
called what is his chips, SymphonyChips. But I'm talking to him right
now about coming out with a foodstocker chip, so I'm hoping I can

(16:41):
do that. And I'm in talkswith somebody else about a beer so we
may we may see a food stockof beer. Okay, So if that
comes then, but I gotta dosome taste testing. If I put my
name behind I wanted to be somethingthat I would drink or eat. That's
why the butter sauces out, becausethat is a butter sauce that I live
by. Then we got a comicbook. So you know how all the

(17:03):
superheroes now are like still Superman, still Ninja, Turtles still like all my
old school favorites, and they justrebooting. Yeah, so we're coming with
a some foody superheroes that's gonna havetheir own powers, and it's going to
be a comic book and it's goingto be great. It's gonna be great.
Be Like I don't know if peoplewatch Captain Planet, but how Captain

(17:23):
Planet was trying to say the Earth, but we'll be trying to say the
food. It's gonna be dope, that's exact. Yeah. Yeah, So
the comic book is gonna be oneof my favorites just because of the nerd
part of me. Is that awhole nother life that you have. Are
you really into comic books and whatelse are you into? On? Into
all the old stuff, Nintendo,Sega. I'm into all the old stuff,

(17:45):
the classics, Yeah, all theclasses. I'm into that. A
lot of people don't understand that.My wife understands it, my kids understanding.
My friends be like, man, what you're doing with all this stuff?
Man? They like it? Yeah, they can't. They can't.
I got some people that you willgo through my inbox and you'll see them
VI men, I love that, and you'll be like you like that,
look like you're like that. Sothat's why people look at me when I

(18:07):
go to this thing every year calledDragon Cut, and you get to dress
up and cosplay, So people likebro I had. I have. One
guy's name is Jason. He alwaystells me when I come to Dragon He's
like, you're the leader of thenerves. You're like, you're like the
coolest of the nerves. I like, bro, Like, we're just doing
stuff we love. So every yearwe go to I take my whole family

(18:27):
to Dragon Cut, all dress upand just half a time. That's a
good time. Yeah, that's mytype of time. Like I don't get
all the clubs. I probably won'tnever do those no more unless they're getting
paid to come through. Ye walkthrough. Try to stay up at eleven
o'clock, I'll be not out likeI'm really trying to get because I got

(18:48):
all girls. I got three girlson a girl dad. So now I'm
trying to stay up late and makesure they go to sleep and they ain't
on their phone. No boys.I so now I have to try to
reflect and get my my bi ain'tstay late. It's crazy. It's crazy.
Yeah, just time goes on andyou realize you' getting younger every day
and you want to be asleep atnine pm and you can't do it.

(19:10):
And man, a couple of timesI fell asleep. Man, I heard
the kids walking around the house andhouse. If I get up right now,
that's really going to break my sleep. I let him have it that
I forget it. I get it. I get it. You gotta be
a dad and just sometime you justyou know what your mom will handle that
I can't do it today we bothbe sleep. I love it. I

(19:30):
love it well. Any last wordsyou want to leave with the people.
By the way, when I golive, I usually say this, so
I'll just say it just because lifeis short. Like if it's somebody that
you love, somebody that a familymember that you ain't messing with no more,
just because you fell out, notsaying that you gotta call them and
talk to them, but you cansend them a text let him know you
still love them. And at theend of the day, most of the

(19:51):
time you fall out with somebody, you still love them. You just a
So I tell people at the endof all my lives, man, just
call somebody that you're not messing withno more, that you still love and
just let them I know you stilllove me. That don't mean y'all got
to start back kicking it or nothing. Just let them know you still love
them. Because if somebody passed, everybody always says it. They be like,
man, I wish I would havecalled this person and said this,

(20:11):
so at least you can do thatinstead of thinking that you can do that
and you never know that might gety'all back on talking terms that might make
that person see what they did wrong, or if you was in the room,
maybe that'll make them feel like, hey man, they growing as a
person. But that's one of mythings that I do when I haven't talked
to somebody in a long time, even if we're not cool no more,
I'll reach out, hey man,hey we're still good man, still love

(20:33):
you or whatever? Yeah, I'lldo that. That's important. I mean,
it's important to not just to tryto build back up friendship or just
to let them know like, Iknow we ain't talking, but we good.
Yeah, No, I don't hateyou, right yeah. Yeah,
that's important for definite people to reallyunderstand because you never want to have any
kind of regrets later down the line. So I get it. I get

(20:55):
it. Well, how can peoplefollow you on social media and keep up
with everything you have going on?So it's the real food stocker on every
platform from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Man, And really
I really need y'all to follow meon YouTube. Man. They say that's
where the money at. Yes theydo. Let me get some money so
I can give back, y'all.Let me follow me on the YouTube because

(21:18):
I swear to y'all. I promisey'all, y'all my people get my YouTube
like y'all got my ig man,so I can get some money and give
back. When I see y'all out, I can start being able to afford
to buy y'all lunch. Man.Hey, help me help y'all ask y'all.
So that's gonna be my new thing. I'm gonna go live at some
point and tell people to follow thatYouTube. Help me build that YouTube up

(21:41):
as a community as my people, like, you know, because everybody that
I feel like that follow me.Like I said, I really feel like
they're my people. Because it ain'tjust like when I say my people.
Some people may think I'm just sayingblack people, but I'm saying everybody my
people, like anybody who shows love, and you know, not with all

(22:02):
the hatred. You know, Ilove my people, man. Yeah.
And when I'm out, they showedme a little, so I want to
show it back to them. Thisyear, I'm hoping that I team up
with a couple of companies and dosome turkey giveaways Thanksgiving. I got a
company that I'm talking to now becauseI want to eat with one of the

(22:23):
families, one or two of thefamilies doing Thanksgiving because I grew up on
one parent home, so I wantto give back to single That's beautiful.
That's beautiful. So we are rootingfor you, We're supporting you. Follow
YouTube. Let's get this money upso we can really do some big things
in twenty twenty four. So thankyou so much for coming into the studio.
We appreciate having you in. Oh, I appreciate you. A hugger,

(22:45):
Yeah, I'm a hugger. Yeah. We gotta hug it out.
We definitely gotta hug it out onceagain. Alexandria Ikimoni in the studio with

New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
