(00:00):
What's up, guys? Used togirl Alexandria Ikimoni in the studio with iHeart,
well at iHeart in the studio withthe one and only Morgan Bailey.
How are you today? So good? How are you? I'm doing well,
So happy to have you in studio. Oh my gosh, she's so
bubbly and she's so much fun already. I can't wait to get into everything
the conversations you just got here.I mean, you're no stranger to Atlanta,

(00:23):
but you drove actually from up north. How was that drive? By
the way good? It was supersimple, But I'm, like I said,
I'm so used to it. Yeah, it was like nothing. Yeah,
just play my music literally, likeI don't even need a GPS at
this point. Oh wow, that'sgood. That's how you know you got
the rose on lock coming here sinceI was literally little. So I love
it. I love it. Well, you're no stranger to Atlanta, like

(00:44):
I said, you have blown upon TikTok, social media, Instagram and
whatnot. I mean, if youhaven't heard, I had a man.
Excuse me, I had a babyby a random man in Atlanta. You're
speaking to the girl who started thatwhole movement because I feel like a lot
of girls can relate. Yeah, the situation that goes on. So first
tell us about your background, howyou really got to the social media platform,

(01:06):
and why you decide to really tellyour story the way you did,
honestly, So I just got tosocial media. I was just like a
regular honestly, Okay. I tooka break from social media the whole time
I was pregnant because I was likesuch an ugly pregnant person. I'm like,
I look disgusting. Nobody's gonna seeme, Like I ducked off from
the world. If I did poston ig literally be old pictures that I'm
like, okay, I'm sot onthe cut, but you guys don't need

(01:27):
to know I'm pregnant. And thenI had Gigi, and I deleted all
of my social media like a monthbefore I had her, so I was
like non existent. I didn't evenexist. So I finally I had her,
I'm like, Okay, nobody's gonnaknow I have a kid, and
if they do, they're not gonnaknow what she looks like. Like I'm
keeping her off the internet. Iwanted to go that whole route. And
then one day I was like,Okay, I'm so tired of this,

(01:49):
Like, let me get on socialmedia, let me see what TikTok's up
to. I didn't watch any videos, like for the first three months that
I was on TikTok, I onlyposted them. So I just started posting
videos with her, and I wastrying to be allay you and like aesthetic
and you don't do that whole thinglike everybody was. And one day I
was like, Okay, screw this, Like I was like, this is
not my life, like I'm aboutto just be real. And literally the
first video that I was being realon it, like I think I got

(02:13):
like seventy one thousand of these.I was like, oh my god,
I'm famous. Like so then Istarted posting every day. Yeah, and
I was just posting like three timesa day, like just seeing where it
would go. When I would justdrop these little Easter eggs, like eggs
of just kind of being like, you know, like, oh, her
dad's not existent, you know, like just kind of being bitter like on
the internet, honestly, but whowould it be? I had just had
a baby. Yeah. Then Iremember I was carrying all those bags outside

(02:36):
one day and I was like it'shot outside, my kouchie sweating, like
everything's wrong, And it just blewup overnight and I got like one hundred
thousand followers and my management team signedme, and like it's been crazy since
then. So that's really how Istarted. I love it, and I've
been following since that first video.I was like, who is this?
I need to know more about herand her story. So we are happy

(02:57):
that you're able to tell that storysince it's so Really, the world is
so many, so we have toask, now, the man you had
a baby with in Atlanta, areyou guys on better terms? Like how's
a relationship now? Or you're juststill you know? Yeah, I mean
I wish him the best. Yeah, period, that's it. That's it.
That is it. But your baby'sflourishing. She's the cutest baby I've

(03:22):
seen. I'm so thankful. Yeah, how is she doing? She's so
good. She's getting so big,Like it's, oh my gosh, it's
just such a blessing. Yeah.So she's just growing every single day.
Like this is the funnest stage.I say that every single time. Yeah,
Like this stage is so fun,Like, oh, she's just walking,
she's starting to run, some likegirl, slow down. But other
than that, everything's great. Ilove it. I love it. So

(03:44):
what are some of the lessons youhave learned along the way with motherhood because
she's still a small baby, soyou know, what are the lessons that
you feel like you can really sharewith some other people to learn. Yeah,
so many lessons, honestly, becausewhen I first had her, I
thought that I was gonna do somany things, Like you really think like,
Okay, my kid's not watching TV, she's she's not doing this,
she's not doing that. And thenit's like, girl, at this point,

(04:06):
like you could literally here's a waterbottle, play with it, like
just honestly, if you're worried aboutbeing a good mom, like you're a
good mom. So that's like thebiggest lesson I feel like to take away,
like and then basic stuff like howto make rice for her, how
to make baby cereal that the internetteaches me like all these different things.
That's why I love social media,Like they give me so many tips about

(04:29):
being a mom. So it's likefree intern and it's free information like at
your finger tips, and so manylessons. I can't even narrow it down
to one honestly, Yeah, doyou feel like you're a regular mom or
you a cool mom? Oh?I'm definitely cool. Definitely definitely not a
regular mom. M m. Yeah, I love that. Okay, let's
talk about social media for a second. Like you said you wanted to be

(04:50):
really just real and transparent on socialmedia about your situation. Of course,
some see it as why would youbring it to the internet. Some other
see it as a of course,it's a great thing that you're sharing because
people can really relate to your story. So tell us more about why you
decided to put it all out therein a vulnerable place that honestly millions resonate
with. Yeah, honestly, Ithink that it was just really kind of

(05:13):
like, I don't know. Iguess I was just in a different place
of my mindset, being like,Okay, I do not need this person,
Like I could show you better thanI could tell you what I can
do with my life, you know. So I was just tired of just
being like regular and just kind oflike being so like, I don't know,
trying to like act like my lifewas so perfect because that's so not
me. So I'm like, youknow what, I'm just gonna put it

(05:35):
out there because if anybody ever findsout I'm somebody's seventh baby mom, it's
coming from me, Like you're notgonna hear it from Susie down the street.
Put it out there now the wholeworld knows, Like that's it.
Like I just wanted to put itout there before anybody else could, honestly,
Yeah that makes sense. Yeah, and you talked about, you know,
getting signed with your management company andof course your social media's taken off

(05:57):
to new heights, So talk abouthow official, honestly it was for you
to really just get your light toa new level that you haven't seen before
just from putting it out there.Yeah, it's definitely life changing. I'm
so thankful for it. Like literally, I love my my talent managers and
my campaign managers, all of them. Shout out to Kensington Gray. I
love them so much. But it'sjust life changing, Like this is my

(06:18):
kind of like job now I'm tryingto make it into a career before they
ban TikTok so like shamelessly follow meon ig. But yeah, it's just
it's it's amazing and I'm super likeblessed that I get to stay home with
gig and like spend time with herbecause it's not easy out here being single
mom and being at work all dayand not spending any time like that was
miserable. So I've never been happiereven if it goes away tomorrow, like,

(06:41):
at least I had this time withher. That's the most important to
me. Yeah, let's talk aboutthe TikTok ban if we can for a
second. Where do you think,How do you feel like it's going to
go. Let's just be honest,girl, I don't know. I don't
know what's going on. I literallydon't know. Like I'm the last person
to ask. I don't keep upwith all of this. Yeah, I
don't even know why they're worried aboutTikTok, Like we have so many other
things to be worried about. ButI know I'm going to indeed, like

(07:04):
hello, I don't know. That'sall that I know. I don't know
what's gonna happen. I hope thatit doesn't get banned. Yeah, it's
the livelihood for so many people now. It's actually sad. Yeah, so
I feel like, you know,I hope it stays. Because of course,
we're all fans of the app,but let's just see. Of course,
if it goes away, maybe somethingelse could pop up tomorrow. But

(07:27):
like you said, same shameless plug, Instagram follow you their kind of situation.
Well, yeah, I'm just gonnaget on YouTube, like put my
eggs in a different baskets, beinglazy with content creation and just try and
go up. But what is thelast app day band like Flabbybird, Like
I'm confused. How the Lord havemercy? Right, So I don't know.
That's I'm nervous, but ye see, we'll see. Well, definitely,

(07:49):
we'll see. And you're talking aboutother social media, so let's talk
about some of your partnerships and collaborations. You have a favorite one that you
have collaborated with in the past. That's a good question. Yeah, honestly,
anybody like I Yeah, there's somebrands that I love working with,
Like like brands you have kind ofthat personal connection with, like Bloom for

(08:11):
example, Like, yeah, they'reso sweet. They sent me flowers for
my birthday. I'm like, ohmy god, guys me so much,
Like that's so sweet. So honestly, every brand that I've worked with,
though, like I really do,like genuinely like them, and I've had
like good. You know, Idon't know, like I think all of
them personally, I say all ofthem. I couldn't even pick a favorite.
That's fair. That's fair. Whenthey treat you well and you have

(08:31):
a good relationship with them, thenwhy not be a fan? So are
there any partnerships you would like tosee happen? Any wanted you want to
just put out there? Yellow vitaminwater, like literally, yellow vitamin water.
Let me see what else I usedaily? Like, I don't even
know. I'd have to think. You put me on the spot. Yeah,
the persone that I can think of, that's fair. Target one target.

(08:56):
Yes, I'm trying to think ofwhat else I love. I have
so many things that I use likedaily that I'm like, oh my goodness,
I should reach out to them. But yeah, too scared. So
that's fair. It will come whenit comes. I love buying water,
I'll say that again, wine companies, Like there's wine that I love other
than that, I don't even know. I get it. I get it.
So you love wine. I'm surethat's one of the ways you wind

(09:20):
down after being a mommy all day. What are some other ways that you
really just pour back into yourself self? Care, whatever the case may be,
just to really regroup and get readyfor the next day, if you
will. Yeah, so I justgot heavy into self care, like so
heavy. Really. I used tolike traveling used to be my main form
of like just kind of like metime. So it feels so good that

(09:41):
this is the first trip that I'vetaken with Gigi. So I already feel
like myself again. And then that'sa great question because I'm really just now
stepping in the left house. I'ma mother, but like, let me
get back to Morgan. So yeah, I'm just trying to figure it all
out. And wine I could sayhanging out with my parents, my dad,

(10:03):
like let me say my mom too, because she's gonna hear this.
But you know, my sisters, like on my family, A lot of
my family's here, so I haveto come all the way to Georgia to
see them. But like I justI just got home from being in Georgia
and it was like such a goodlike relief of being like, oh my
god, I love family so much, like they mean everything to me.
So I would say spending time withmy family, that's the biggest thing,

(10:24):
like that keeps me kind of going. Yeah, the love and support you
get from family members is like noother Honestly, it really is so insane.
And then I get a lot oflike, I don't know, I
feel really nice when I like editmy TikTok videos put a little background music,
I'm like, okay, I'm thatgirl. But you know, like
I like doing that too, Sothat's like kind of a form of self

(10:45):
care to me, Like it makesme feel happy insides. Yeah, and
you were talking about working on you, working on Morgan. Let's talk maybe
about the dating scene. Are youinterested in dating? Are you dating anybody
now or no? So I'm notdating anybody. I don't have any type
of roster or anything. But Imean Drake will probably he might hear this,
so hello, No, I'm kiddingme. I yeah, I'm totally

(11:09):
interested in dating. I don't haveanybody. I don't know where I would
meet them, like maybe like atthe changing station and BUCkies or something like,
I don't know target maybe yeah,right, Like I don't know what
I would do where I would findthem at. But if they want to
find me, I'm open here.I love it. I love it.
Okay, So we talked about thedating not dating anymore, but if you

(11:31):
had to like pick out qualities thatyou will like your next partner to have,
what would that be Because I'm sureyou had some life lessons along the
way, so they would be sodifferent this time around. And I genuinely
mean that, Like I always jokeabout like who I would date on TikTok,
but like all jokes aside, likethey would have a lot of qualities
that like my dad has. Myparents have been together for thirty years.

(11:52):
My dad is literally the sweetest personever, Like I would say, just
super kind, like super caring, like genuinely a good person. That's that's
all what I care about. Justbe a good person, and then the
rest will kind of follow behind, like just good personality. Like I don't
I don't. I don't go forlike money and like all, like you
know, I can get my ownbag, like you all. I know

(12:13):
what I bring the table. I'mnot afraid to eat alone. But I
would like somebody who could kind ofadd to that, is what I would
say. That's it. Yeah, that's simple qualities you would think, but
it's hard to find them, especiallyin Atlanta. Now, I'm gonna be
honest, dating in Atlanta is notfor the week, So I completely understand.
But I hope you do find himfor sure. And we know that

(12:33):
this year is still we're in thebeginning part of this year. But what
is to come from Morgan Bailey thisyear? What can we expect from you?
That's a great question. I reallywant to start my podcast, so
I would absolutely love to do that. Start a podcast, YouTube, definitely
go like absolutely crazy on there. Those are my biggest kind of like things
that I want to do, likejust grow my platform, like do some

(12:56):
collabs with people who I genuinely loveand like be you know, elevate into
my next form of like motherhood, like really kind of getting everything on my
own, like moving you know, out of cold Michigan. Yes, taking
care of Gigi her second birthdays thisyear. So just growing as a woman,
so say, kind of out ofmy twenty four year old tea mom

(13:16):
stage into the woman version of me. So I love it. I love
it. And we watched you growon social media and it's been such a
pleasure to watch. I mean, you have blossom. So we got to
give your flowers what you're doing. That's so sweet. Yes, and let's
talk about for people who follow youand love you and support you who maybe
they're also trying to grow their ownplatforms. What advice would you have for

(13:37):
those people? Post the content literally, I don't care what it is.
I don't care what you talk about. Be consistent with it. Post content
like I always tell people that, but I do. I would say,
like, I almost made a videoabout this yesterday, and I won't rant
on it for too long. ButI get a lot of the dms that
I get about people who do wantto like post content and kind of do
what I'm doing, are in mysimilar situation. Like I want to tell
my story and that's great. It'slike I would always suggest telling your story,

(14:01):
but at the same time, beaware about what you post, because
you can't ever nothing ever goes away. Okay, I could post a video
for three seconds and somebody screenshotting it'son Reddit somewhere, it's in this person's
page. So I would just say, like, you know, you got
to really think, like what doI want my brand to be? What
resonates with me? What can Isee myself doing long term? Because yeah,
I coined random man from Atlanta, but I don't want to always be

(14:22):
known as that, you know,Yeah, I want to be known as
Morgan. You know, So Iwould just say, watch what you post,
but at the same time, postit go crazy, like really spend
time editing, Like do you,you know, talk about something that you
want to talk about, when thatyou're passionate about, and the rest will
all follow suit, Like don't postit for brand deals or anything like that.
You know, yeah, post itbecause you really, you know,

(14:43):
you kind of like want It'll allfollow. That's what I would say,
It all follows. Do you thinkpeople still have to post, you know,
two to three times a day becauseI've been seeing a lot of you
know posts quality over quantity. Butof course the people who have blown up
post it multiple times a day.So what are your on? Like how
TikTok is but the algorithm, algorithmand all that stuff, How do people

(15:03):
really make it? Girl? Iwish I know? Okay, that's real.
I don't know. I'm just outhere winging it, Okay. I'm
an off brand influencer. That's whatI call myself because I when I first
started, I would post three videosa day. I literally had a schedule.
I'm like, Okay, in themorning, I'm just gonna post her
out for the day. And thenI'm like, I'm gonna post a video
of carrying all these damn bags becausethey're making me mad. And then when

(15:24):
I get home and I was livingwith my parents, I'm like, I'm
gonna try and send everybody in thebasement so I can record in my mom's
kitchen. You know, mm hmmm. So but honestly, the ones that
blew up are so random, You'relike, why did this get a tend?
Like I made a three minute andfifty second video about making my kid
rice and I did it all theway wrong and that flew up. So

(15:45):
it's like, why do people wantto see that? I do not know,
but it's just I would say postI definitely have quality videos, like
don't have like girl, don't beposting with no bad lighting. All that's
sense, but I think good lighting, good good audio, and be interesting,
have a personality, and you're you'retaking off from there, TikTok is
going to do. It's a littlejob, okay, and then once they

(16:07):
want to stop doing their job, girl, they will take you off there
for you say so fast and you'llknow you did something wrong. Oh lord,
which is rough. It's a toughgame out there. It is,
but it's fun. Yeah, butyeah, I love that. I love
that and it's been fun talking toyou as well in the studio. So
last question for the mothers, especiallythe younger mothers who are trying to just
figure it out, who may evenbe a single mom. What advice would

(16:30):
you like to leave them? Yougot this, Like, mothers are so
strong, They're so I I literallyespecially single mothers. They have the biggest
place in my heart ever, LikeI could I just I just want to
send nothing but encouragement, like serious, Like every every girl that messages me
that's like I'm a single mom goingthrough this and that I literally sit there

(16:52):
and pray for her, Like I'mlike, girl, you got this,
Like if you need anything, messageme, Like my my dms are always
open, whether you want to sendhete love or you know, just questions,
It's always open. You can messageme if you're going through anything.
I send so much love to allthe single lums. I love it.
I love it. Thank you MorganBailey for coming into the studio. And
how can people follow you in casethey haven't already. That's a great question.

(17:14):
So my tiktact is at Morgan Baileywith two eyes, my Instagram's Morgan
Fluellen and then YouTube. That's agreat question. I don't know what it
is. Hello, It's in oneof my bios. I love it.
Thank you so much for coming intothe studio once again. Alexandria Gamoni at
iHeartRadio with Morgan Bailey. Thank youfor having me. That's so fun.
