Singer Ken Wong ahead of Brewing For Change

One FM Breakfast announcer Plemo talks to singer Ken Wong ahead his performance at tomorrow's (Saturday the 9th of August) Brewing For Change at Shepparton Brewery. We also hear him perform a few songs live. Brewing For Change starts at 2pm at the Shepparton Brewery (Edward St Shepparton) tomorrow (Saturday the 31st of August, 2024). The brew crew is back with a line-up of local talent & tunes to raise funds and awareness for those struggling with youth homelessness in the area. The Salvation Army North East Youth Services and Goulburn Valley Fresh Start Foundation have teamed up to help the most vulnerable in our community with homeless relief and support. Heading the line-up is Shepparton musical illuminati KEN WONG. Ken began performing in the 1970’s & 80’s with original rock band Chinese Cooking, gaining metro success & TV appearances. In recent years he has launched a solo career, performing a mixture of originals and eclectic covers. Owen Holleran & Carole McGregor are proving quite the combo blowing audiences away with their chilled grooves and interpretations of songs that combine guitar, beats and classic violin. Portuguese chanteuse Lara Sa comes via London & 20,000 plus crowds to now call Shepparton home. Lara writes & performs her own material with a beautiful voice and energy that comes straight from the heart.
