Child safety is a primary concern for every parent. No parent wants to imagine their child being abducted or victimized in any way. We want our most precious resource and most prized possession to be safe and happy. Therefore, we must empower our childdren through education and confidence. Parents need to know what to teach the children and when is the appropriate time to do so. That is why I created the C.A.T. Safety Program™. The sole purpose of the program is to teach each child the lures the predator uses and what they should do to protect themselves. I also educate parents to recognize things they do that may give the predator information he or she can use to gain our child’s trust. We have to provide our children with the information they need to stay safe. We must also develop their self-confidence and physical skills. That is why I am sharing the essential elements of the C.A.T. Safety Program™ through this show. Child abduction or victimization is every parent’s worst nightmare. During this episode of the Dennis Root Podcast, we are going to discuss what we can do to help keep our children safe. Topics covered during the show will include: The importance of giving our children an avatar. The tools every child has and can use to stay safe. Improving verbalization, from a child' perspective. The lures used by the predator. Techniques for teaching our children to fight back!   Link for the question of the week What should I consider when choosing a handgun?
