and so we're we're getting ournew campaign on the line.
So look, keep a lookout forthat.
I'll post it.
It is going to be calledOathbreaker, a D&D story, so
I'll post it on our socialmedias.
We're going to launch a wholenew campaign.
It's going to be a separatechannel on our actual platforms,
(02:20):
so all of our listeningplatforms, but I will make sure
all the links are on our socialmedia so you can find them.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
We're super excited
about this go ahead.
I say, is the big twist thatwe're going to promise all this
stuff and then break it and notdo it?
Probably?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
so, okay, I'm really
excited about this.
Everybody in this podcast isgoing to be part of it, as well
as uh andrew, even me, even youuntil I kill you off, uh and
andrew, the, the, the guy whoruns our, our community games.
You've heard him once or twiceon here.
He was on our christmas oneshot with uh ryan from run dng,
(02:56):
so I'm very excited about it.
I put a lot of work into thethe lore for it, so come give us
a.
It's going to be a great timeand Andrew's going to be doing a
lot of the editing, so we'regoing to have faster release
dates than when I'm doing theediting.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
So we're going to
release faster, yeah.
The build up will be shorterClimax sooner.
So it'll all come out.
The whole delivery will just bea whole load full.
What's this new?
Speaker 4 (03:23):
sooner, it'll all
come out, the whole delivery
will be a whole load full.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
What's this new
podcast going to be rated?
Speaker 4 (03:32):
M just like this one
because of people like you, but
we're so immature it doesn'tmake sense.
I've rated M for immature.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
For immature.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
I don't.
I'm pretty sure that's whatthat means this is the
commercial rating system.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I want to take a
second to call out Dungeon Draft
.
They're by Megasplute.
They are.
It's a fantastic program.
I just started using them acouple days ago to build my
battle maps for D&D and I gottatell you it normally takes me 45
minutes an hour to create abattle map for D&D for these
guys, because I know they'regoing to break it, but this
(04:08):
allows me to create a map in 5to 10 minutes.
Add lighting features, shadows, line of sight.
I mean it's got a lot of coolfeatures into it and you can add
, depending on the VTT model orVTT system that you're using,
you can add actual dynamicfeatures in the map itself.
So if you've got a crystalthat's going to explode or or
(04:29):
barrels that blow up, that'llall show up in the map itself.
So it's really really cool.
Give them a check, go checkthem out.
It's called dungeon draft thereby mega sploot.
They've got a bunch of bunch ofsoftware out there, but the one
that I'm using is dungeon draft.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Okay, yeah, I mean if
and we can, we can keep jerking
it a little bit.
Uh, I think it's great umsoftware.
I used it on my campaign and Itoo started off making maps
quickly.
But you can download additionalum asset packs and then you
will be right back to spending45 minutes to an hour making
(05:07):
those perfect maps.
And yeah, I was using it withRoll20.
And you import it into Roll20,it does all the lighting and
stuff for you.
It puts the sources and caststhe shadows, exactly like you
set it up in Dungeon Draft.
And don't forget about theircompanion software, wonder Draft
, where you can make thoseawesome world maps.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Believe it or not,
Brandon's not getting paid for
this.
He just really likes it.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
I think.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Brandon is paying us
for this.
It's just really cool software.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
And if you don't know
Brandon, he doesn't get this
excited about many things, so ifhe's excited, it's a good
product.
Go check it out.
Don't take my word for it.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
We'd love to show it
to you, but you're listening to
a podcast, so you just have tohear us talk about how cool it
is.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Yeah, that's not how
this medium works.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
I think it's funny
their name is Mega Splooge.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
No, it's Sploot, oh
Sploot.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
Oh, I thought you
were going to say Mega Splooge.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
That's brainless,
that's our partnership and they
don't want to talk to us anymore.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
No, you know when a
dog lays out with all of its the
back legs all flared out.
Yeah that's where it sploots.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
That's like their
whole.
Thing.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
They have one of
those cute little Japanese dogs.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Splooting.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
All right, dogs
Exploding, alright.
So, justin, I know you did therecap last week, but I am going
to ask you to do the recap thisweek, because something
significant happened betweenlast week and this week.
Bullshit, bullshit.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
Yeah, you got this
man.
Speak your truth.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Well, we leveled up,
that's probably the biggest
thing, really.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Yeah, that's it,
that's it.
We're moving on the nextepisode.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Let's go all right oh
, you guys, let's see.
Uh.
So I started off with me doingthe recap for the record.
Uh, let's see.
As we pulled into town, theport was pretty busy at deadpelt
shadows.
Uh, we met.
Uh, oh we, as we were goinginto town, we started.
(07:13):
We were greeted by a nice guy.
I want to pull up the othernotes because I think that my
notes are leaning on these alittle bit more now.
We, as we pulled in the port, aguy named elder Halric showed up
to meet us.
He was a big, tall human and aswe were talking to him and
walking around town, we noticedthat there's a lot of stuff
(07:34):
about the god, eldath and Seluneand stuff to ward off from this
guy, malar, who was theiropposite.
And we get to talk that thiswhole town is kind of a safe
haven for lycanthropes and thosewho suffer from lycanthropy.
Nice, we had a pretty good talkabout how to pronounce some
(07:56):
fancy words.
We got invited to a ball wheremasks were mandatory and it
would symbolize the control overthe beast.
Within of all these, everyoneon the island basically is a
lycanthrope.
Nobody could use any magicbecause it would destabilize the
wards and the guests aresupposed to not reveal who they
(08:18):
were, and so, asnon-lycanthropes, we got to go
shopping and pick our outfitsand costumes.
We learned about the history ofthe town, which was pretty cool,
and then we went to the balland we greeted, kind of like
royalty, and everyone wasimpressed by us because we're so
cool.
(08:39):
We talked to the leader, who isnamed Lysandra Moonfall.
Morris was interested intalking to her to try to find
out about his mother, and Montywas interested to talk about 11
fingered elves, where one of thehands had six fingers, and we
(08:59):
learned a little bit of storystuff.
I think I'm going to skip oversome of that.
And then something happened andthese runes that were kind of
glowing continuously throughoutthe town, one of them started to
flicker and some of the all ofthe masked people around us
started to transform intodifferent, to undergo their
transformations, and so we didsome stuff to distract them,
(09:26):
just to keep them fromsuccumbing to their weaknesses,
like going through martial artsroutines and just talking them
out of it like, hey, man, youdon't need to do this right now,
it's okay.
And then Morse tried to helprestore the magic, and he didn't
do good at first and eventuallywe kind of got it figured out.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
And then man, this
all happened so fast yeah, there
was a lot in a short amount oftime okay.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
So then we we found
the source of what was
disrupting all the magic.
It was a crystal, that Glennpointed out.
So Mors went over and he bashedit with his staff and it broke.
And then everyone started tocome back under their own
control, and everyone was thatGlenn pointed out.
So Mors went over and he bashedit with his staff and it broke.
And then everyone started tocome back under their own
control and everyone was youknow woo.
That was a fun little adventurefor this party, and kind of
(10:17):
rejoicing and getting ready torelax and just feel good.
And then boom, the glass ceilingcaves in.
A flying goblin comes in andstarts shouting at us.
He's really mad at Mors andGlenn.
And then time freezes and wefigure out that it's Cosmes, the
little goblin we were supposedto rescue, or trusted somebody
else to rescue, or however itshakes out.
(10:38):
We adopted him a long time ago.
So Eldath had frozen time sothat she could talk with Mors
and she had Sam's spirit withher, and she informs us that
Gossam has kind of went throughthese different timelines and
got powers from these differentcrystal gods, where the crystals
were conveying the power of thegods, something to that effect,
(10:59):
and we're going to have to go.
The party is going to have togo, separate the power from
Gosszma, one at a time, untilhe's within our capability to
take down.
But Eldith needed either Sam orMors to be with her to try to
maintain the power, to keep theportals open and get the party
moving around, to protecteveryone from this new threat,
(11:22):
gauzma.
And so one of them, sam or Mors, would never come back to life
and the other one would takeover for Mors' place.
And Mors saw the opportunity tospend some time helping his god
and be the greater good, and sohe chooses to go with Eldath and
Sam takes his place, and hedoesn't get to say goodbye to
(11:45):
his friends, but he knows thathe'll be helping them succeed
and save lots of lives.
So he's gone.
Now it's Sam.
Sam does swear an oath to Morsthat he's going to try to
protect his friends, theirfriends, and she takes on the
name Sam Morsbound in honor ofthat oath.
(12:05):
How cute.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Awesome, that's great
.
Oh, and then the party getssucked into a portal and we
level up Awesome.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Is that the oath that
gets broken?
There's going to be a brokenoath someplace.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
No, that's not this
podcast, that's the next one.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
That doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
It's all connected
Alright, so continuing on with
that, justin.
What did Sam take at level 13?
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Oh yeah.
So Sam's level 13 feature iscalled Brutal, critical, brutal,
brutal.
So whenever I make a criticalhit, I get to roll, and I
already had to roll an extradice, so now I get to roll two
extra dice whenever I have acritical hit In damages, yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Nice, that's wild man
Two additional dice on crits.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
So big crits is my
way to go.
Speaker 6 (12:59):
Yeah, instead of two
times the damage on a crit, it's
basically three times thedamage.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
And because you have
great weapons, Master, you only
need a 19 for a critical right,Maybe.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Increased threat
range.
If I could just get a keenweapon, we'll get that down to
17.
All right.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
What about you, Matty
?
What did Monty take at level 13?
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Well, one thing I
didn't know about Rangers
because I just don't knowanything about D&D is that at
level 13, rangers don't get JackDoodly.
I'm assuming I got some HP orsomething.
But what I did find out is Ihad previously forgotten to give
myself two additional spells,so I went ahead and took those.
The spells I chose were afourth level stone skin, which
(13:50):
is good Makes me gain resistanceto bludgeoning.
Piercing slashing damage Couldbe in handy.
I don't know Depends if we'refighting some lightning people
or something and another littlesmall third level spell called
Revivify.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Revivify.
Can you explain that?
What is that?
Speaker 3 (14:16):
It's kind of like
Cure Wounds, just a little bit
slightly stronger.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Okay For our players
that don't know what it is.
Can you explain that?
Oh for them.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
It's like a Gatorade
on a hot day, it really
revivifies you makes you justfeel a little better.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
It's like those new.
Gatorlights.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Yeah, or if you have
died within the last minute,
monty can bring you back to life, nice.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
What if you died of
heat stroke?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yeah, as long as it's
not old age.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
Are you saying,
revivify is?
Speaker 3 (14:48):
better than Gatorade?
Better than Gatorade If you'vedied of old age and it doesn't?
Oh, that's interesting.
It doesn't restore any missingbody parts.
So, yeah, you might come backwithout a head.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
What if the body part
that you're missing is?
Speaker 3 (15:04):
some of your DNAna
yeah, that's not a part of your
body.
That's not a body part.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
There you go it is a
part of your body, not a body
part.
I bet you don't have anymitochondria, do you?
Yeah, you look like the kind ofguy who doesn't have
mitochondria all right, but Igot a toothbrush for all these
teeth?
Speaker 3 (15:24):
No.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Brandon, what did
Nines get at level 13?
Speaker 6 (15:30):
Nines actually got
the Tongue of the Sun and Moon,
and so now Nines can magicallyspeak and understand all spoken
languages, and any creature thatcan understand a language can
understand what nines says.
So remember those fish people.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
Like one of the first
episodes I was involved in.
Now I can think back to whatthey said and understand the
conversation.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Hell yeah, all right.
And finally, what about GlennBill?
So, Glenn.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
So it's kind of cool,
but anyway.
So he got a couple of things.
He got a thing called elegantmaneuver.
So basically as a bonus actionhe can gain advantage on his
next dexterity or strength check.
So in other words, if he doesacrobatics or athletics, he can
think about it for a second andget advantage.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I'm not going to make
you guys climb any walls,
you're fine.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
The other thing that
nobody else noticed or nobody
else talked about is we all gota proficiency improvement.
I think we all did.
Most of us should have yeah ourproficiency is.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
I think we all did.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
Most of us should
have yeah, plus five now.
Yeah, our proficiency is nowplus five, and Glenn also got
his sneak.
Damage is now 7d6.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Awesome.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
So the proficiency
bonus is just what you add
because you've just been doingit for that long, right, you
have the experience, and so youalways get that plus five on top
of whatever your skillmodifiers are right.
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
So your abilities are
proficient at your attacks.
Your spell attacks saves.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Yeah, and you have
certain skills right that you're
proficient with.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
And you get that plus
five to those.
Glenn's deception persuasionare all plus 14.
Slide of hand thieves tools isplus 15.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Damn, that's a Don't.
Speaker 6 (17:41):
You have something
where you can't roll below a 10?
.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
Yeah, and none of
those can I roll below a 10 on,
so I automatically start outwith a minimum on sleight of
hand of 25.
Which is wild.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
Yeah, that's like
tricking God.
Yeah, there's no apples here.
It's like making a promise, butyour fingers are crossed behind
your back.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
No, I just like to do
it in front of your face.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Your fingers are
crossed in front of your face.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
And they don't even
notice.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
They're like man,
this guy's so honest.
I love how trustworthy he is.
I promise I won't steal yourstuff.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Okay, could you hold
my virgin daughter for me?
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, with pleasure
yeah.
With pleasure.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
I don't think she's a
virgin anymore.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I don't think she's a
virgin anymore yeah exactly
when you die you get 40 virgins.
Can I just have like 40 kind ofpromiscuous women instead?
I'd appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Give me like 20
promiscuous women.
There's only one promiscuouswomen.
Speaker 6 (18:45):
There's only one
promiscuous girl, nellie
Frittata.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Justin, there is one
new ability that Sam does have
that you did not talk about.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Oh yeah, let's see if
I wrote it down in here,
because I wasn't really takingnote.
Oh, is this?
Speaker 6 (19:05):
the one where sam can
uh remember moore's like.
Use a bonus action, I think, toremember moore's fondly yeah
you have to make a uh, a reflex, save against crying yeah,
that's right, justin has to, notnot sam justin has to yeah I
called it manifest moreest MorsOne time per day or per long
(19:27):
rest.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
summon Mors at level
12, and he's present for one
round of combat with all of hisspells that he knew at level 12.
Correct.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
It's like a memory of
Mors.
It does take an action, though,so as an action.
Yeah, I will include that, andhis turn is directly after Sam's
.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Sammy, this is what
Morris gets for intentionally
trying to hurt something.
He hit the crystal with thestaff and boom, you're done.
Passivist yeah right, you'regone.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
Did you even try to
talk to it first?
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
Such a violation that
your god comes down and is like
hey, dude, I need you to comewith me.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
I think you need to
take a break.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
We got some things we
need to do you just hit that
poor crystal?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
That catapult spell
is just way too damn powerful.
All right, all right, so, yeah,so I think we got everything
squared away here.
So all of you get spit out fromthis portal that sucked you in
and you're feeling a littledizzy, a little nauseous.
You kind of as the magic kindof releases its grip, you find
(20:40):
yourself staggering a little bitand the air around you feels
almost alive.
You feel like a staticelectricity against your skin.
It's tingling against you, youfeel that kind of a humming,
that's, and the ground beneathyour feet you can feel a soft
pulsing and it's radiatingshifting patterns of the magic
around you.
(21:01):
You can see that the treesaround you there's plenty of
trees, there's a canopy offorest around you that you can
see through the canopy a littlebit, and those leaves are
glowing a little bit.
They're they're giving off afaint glow.
The shadows are a little darker, the the light is a little
lighter, all the colors are morevibrant and, as, as you're
(21:24):
starting to look around, you cansee that this whole area is
engulfed in some kind ofunnatural storm.
You can see lightning comingacross the sky and you can see
comets of what looks to bealmost raw magic streaking
across the sky and you can hearthem thudding in the distance
and you can you describe whatthe fuck raw magic streaking
(21:47):
looks like yeah, it's.
It would be kind of like a comet, where you'd see it on fire,
but instead it looks blue andgreen and purple as it streaks
across the sky.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
Okay, so like a
Michael Bay movie during an acid
trip.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Right.
Yeah, it's like theTransformers took shrooms.
Speaker 6 (22:04):
Cool, thank you.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
That's actually very
helpful.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
I was having
difficulty there.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
So the sky itself is
kind of a lavender color and you
can see that there are floatingislands all around you.
But as you, as you startlooking around even more, some
of these islands are starting tocrash to the ground, and for I
think all of you can cast magicright, some sort of magic some
sort of magic I mean, yeah, sofor all of you kind of feel like
(22:37):
you can feel the magic in theair.
It's very thick, it's almost apalpable feeling of magic in the
air and it's making yourmovements a little sluggish,
your minds are a little foggyand just the entire scene in
front of you is overwhelming.
So, yeah, we're going to startfrom there.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Hey guys Hi.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
Oh, hey, sam.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
No, no, no, that's
the other one, this one's Mors
Nine says confidently.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
Glenn side-eyes.
Nines and then says so I guessMors is on a break, so you're
going to be running with us fora while.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Oh yeah, sorry, I was
just thinking about something
in my head.
Yeah, I'm going to be here.
I'm going to be here, I thinkforever.
Mors has got to the portal wejust came through.
That's Mors.
Oh yeah, I think they stoppedtime wait what do you mean
(23:44):
forever?
well, so, yeah, do you guys knowwho Eldath is?
Real nice, real nice lady.
Yeah, mors is Mors' friend.
Yeah, so she found me in theplace.
Real nice, real nice lady.
Oh, yeah, morse's friend.
Yeah, so she found me in theplace where I'm not here and she
took me and she stopped timeand we talked to Morse for a
(24:06):
minute when that little goblincame through and she's gonna
take Morse and help us sever thelinks between that goblin and
take his power from the.
He's got gods giving him poweror something.
I'm not sure I remember thewhole explanation exactly, but
they're going to take us placesand we're going to make Cosmos
(24:27):
weaker so we can save everyone.
So I'm here.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
So once we're done,
then done.
Then is Mors coming back.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
I don't know.
We didn't talk about that.
I didn't get the impression.
I don't think so, but maybe Idon't know.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
So wait, you're
trying to tell me that Mors is
gone.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Yeah, he wanted to
say goodbye, but Eldas power.
I guess stopping time is hard.
He wanted to say goodbye, butElda's power.
I guess stopping time is hard.
He wanted to say goodbye.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Monty's going to get
a very solemn look upon his face
and I'm going to be exactlysure how to respond next.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
Nines will say Ah,
it's not a big deal, We'll see
him next time.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
What do you mean next
time?
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Oh, just the next
time we see him we'll just say
bye then.
I feel like you're about totell us what your master sensei
once told you oh, uh yes uh one,uh no, I don't think master the
lion ever, or Sensei the Lionever, mentioned anything like
(25:38):
this.
He never said anything aboutportals either, so I'm beginning
to think that there are somethings that he just was not
aware of.
You know what?
Once this is all over, I'll askhim.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Oh no, Does Nines not
understand death he?
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Probably.
It's not that he doesn'tunderstand death, it's that he
assumes that it's not permanent.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
I mean in this world,
that's fair.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
Maybe it's a
resurrection thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Okay.
So what is going throughGlenn's's head right now?
Speaker 5 (26:16):
morris is literally
the last original companion that
he had so glenn is still tryingto piece together the, the uh
spotty recollection that thatsam is given, um, and he's kind
of confused at how the god justkind of did the swaparoo and
(26:40):
doesn't really he's kind ofthinking about well, I mean,
mors disappeared before and Samdidn't really understand or know
that she was swapped out withMors, know that she was swapped
out with Mors, so he's probablyrunning through his mind how to
spin it in his head that this isjust temporary.
(27:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
I think Monty's kind
of in the same place too.
He's like well, Sam has neveracknowledged that Mors was there
and going to come back, so thisisn't necessarily a big shock
to him.
I don't think Monty has quiterealized yet that Mors was there
and going to come back, so thisisn't necessarily a big shock
to him.
Okay, I don't think Monty hasquite realized yet that Mors is
gone.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Yeah, I don't think
Glenn understands it either,
because he's somewhere between Imean because the whole yes,
mors has been with this partythe longest.
But if you actually think aboutGlenn's life, he was alive for
18 years before that and peoplewere coming and going all the
(27:41):
time.
But he did have somewhat of aconnection to Mors and Mors was
actually a calming influence, soto speak, on Glenn.
Oh, shit.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
What we've seen with
Glenn for the last five years is
with Morse calming him.
Speaker 6 (27:56):
Yes, I can't wait to
see Glenn unleashed.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Glenn unhinged, so
he's kind of well, we'll figure
this out.
Glenn is gonna kind of well, Iguess we'll just go.
I mean, it seems like killingsome gods sounds fun.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
I think Glenn is
confused because he's never had
a feeling before.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Glenn, like Bill,
only has two emotions.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
Anger and lack of
anger.
Yes, yes, anger and lack ofanger.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Yes, so Sam you do
feel itching on your left
forearm.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Go ahead, I look at
it and scratch it, all right.
So as you look at it, you see atattoo being inscribed on your
left forearm and it shows moorsin a grass.
It's a black and white.
It shows moors in a grass.
It's a black and white, itshows moors in a grass field and
he's looking around and it's adynamic tattoo, moving kind of
fluidly across your forearm.
(29:06):
And as he's looking around, yousee bean sprout pop up behind
him and kind of climb up on hisshoulder and they're just
looking happily at each other.
They look very content I was.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
I was gonna say,
please let this be a maui tattoo
.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah, that's got a
feeling.
I'm sorry you're about to sayin a grass skirt no, no, no,
it's like all right, but the thetattoo is obviously enchanted.
It's he's.
Moores and beansprout areplaying.
They're looking around on yourforearm and as they notice you
looking down at them, moorslooks up at you and you can see
(29:41):
his mouth move.
You can't hear anything and hewaves at you happily.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
It is a big Maui
tattoo.
That's cool.
I like it.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Guys, look, can you
see this?
And she'll hold her arm out toyou.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Can you see this and?
Speaker 3 (29:56):
she'll hold her arm
out to you.
Look at, yeah, everybody elsecan see it.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
And he's waving look.
Speaker 6 (30:00):
Hi Morris, yeah Nines
is completely vindicated.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Waves back at the
tattoo.
Monty will like get finger gunsat the tattoo and see what
happens.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Morris looks happily
around everybody.
He's not responding.
You can tell after a fewseconds that it's not.
It's a dynamic tattoo.
He's moving around.
It shows more isn't beingscrubbing happy, but it's not.
It doesn't react to everybodyaround it doesn't get finger
guns back.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Okay, it's just an
illusion that nines doesn't know
that.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Hey, you still owe me
that 40 gold, right?
Alright, I'll see you later.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
So, um, glenn Going
through Glenn's mind is like I
guess this is how they're gonnatrack who they are.
I don't know, it's kind ofweird Shit pops up on us all the
time, like two other peoplehave gotten tattoos in the past
ten minutes.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Fair.
It's been like an hour.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
Okay, whatever, but
yeah.
So Glenn is kind of not reallysure what's going on, but he's
pretty confident that it'll endup getting.
He'll come back, it's fine.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Monty's going to clue
into something else that Sam
said and say you mentioned thename Gossmiss.
What do you mean?
Who's this Gossmiss character?
Speaker 5 (31:28):
I don't know, you
know, I know who Gossmiss is.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
So this one time we
were riding some something oh
yeah, I know, I know before thatwe wrote these, these really
fast things.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
I can't remember what
they were because it was like
three years ago, four years ago.
We rode something, and then werode the skiffs.
Or maybe it was the other wayaround.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Anyway, To the way
around.
We rode the scorpions away fromthere, but the skiffs we rode
to there.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
Okay, yeah, that
makes sense All right.
So we were going to somewhereand we got captured.
I think we were, oh, we gotknocked unconscious.
That's the puffer rune story.
So we met that druid that youmet a couple of days ago, and
she drugged us oh yeah that onenot her, she was, and so she
(32:27):
drugged us and we woke up on askiff and were taken to a arena
dome thing.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
And yeah, we were the
skiff took you to the scorpion
king palace wasn't that the nope.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
You guys went to a
dome first you escaped.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
We went to a dome we
escaped from the dome and while
we were looking around to getour shit, we found Goss, man.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Oh, yes, yes, yes,
okay, got it, okay Don't ruin
Glenn's storytelling.
This is Bill's storytelling.
No, but you're good.
Go ahead, glenn, do continue, you're doing great.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
So we rode this skiff
thingy in a cage and they took
us to this arena thing and oh,there's this funny story.
Well, I'll get to that in aminute.
Um, so we got to that dome andwhen we were in the dome, um, we
were questioned by thispossessed thingy that asked
where somebody was, and whenmorse gets asked a question, he
of course answers the question.
(33:41):
So he told him exactly wherethis guy was that he was looking
for, and when he told him, thegod demon thingy that was
possessing this guy or gal, Idon't remember left and deflated
and then we proceeded totrounce upon these people and
(34:02):
then, on our way out, we alsofound Gosmas, who was a little
goblin kid, and we rescued himand then we gave him some drugs
so that he could pilot a skiffto get us out of there.
And then, when he got us towhere we were going, we told him
hang out on the skiff, we'll beright out.
(34:24):
We cracked the window so heshould have been safe, and we
went in and did our thing andwhen we came out he was gone.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
Are these the sorts
of fucking lighthearted
adventures you guys had before Igot here?
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Well, yeah, this was.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
Are you in the wrong
part of town and like the kid
that you stole gets re-stolenLike some sort of magical baby.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
He hasn't mentioned
that.
They left a dead body on theskiff with the kid.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Yeah, brutus was
there to watch him we were gonna
try to bring him back we had aplan you got swallowed by a big
pink worm, not our fault yeah, you guys are so lucky.
Speaker 6 (35:13):
Nines is here.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Be the moral compass.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Be, your moral
compass.
It's going downhill.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
I'll take care of the
moral decisions I got this.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
That was such a long
time ago, so I'm not sure why
Gossman is mad.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
I mean we gave him
drugs.
Hang on a minute.
Yeah, I think you just toldGossman is mad, I mean we gave
him drugs.
Speaker 6 (35:35):
Hang on a minute.
Yeah, I think you just told uswhy he's mad.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
You gave him drugs
and left him there, you gave him
drugs.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
He seemed really
happy when we gave him the drugs
, Left him in the car, in a hotcar probably.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
We cracked the window
.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
With a dead body.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
We were on a break.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
Yeah, so maybe he's
mad at you for being shitty
caretakers.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
We rescuers, not
caretakers.
So I mean, what about this?
Speaker 6 (36:09):
group.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
Glenn's looking
around.
What about my prior group?
Would lead you to believe thatwe were in any way caretakers,
not mentioning the fact that oneof them, ran an orphanage and
other ones, but you guys don'tknow that.
(36:31):
Well, monty does.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
But one of you ran an
orphanage.
One of you came from anorphanage.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
That same orphanage.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Two of you Weren't
Mors and Monty, from the
orphanage.
Monty didn't come from theorphanage.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
He had visited at one
point, for some reason, oh yeah
.
Speaker 6 (36:49):
Okay, so Anyway.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
More pressing though
is this so we sent somebody to
rescue Gossmez Said they weregoing to rescue him.
Apparently they failed.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
I thought she was
like a reliable character too.
We reasonably thought Gossmezwould be rescued.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
Yeah, so we sent a
rescue party for him.
I mean, we rescued him one timebut we had to go chase down
some gods and stuff.
So, and you know, things happen.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
When you're coming
home, son, I don't know when
we'll get together then Dad, youknow we're having a good time
man.
Yeah, I think I see the,000years to save the world, and we
did.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
You know world exists
, we obviously saved it.
So, yeah, I think we did ourjob.
There's one kid and you know weset the rescue party for him.
Honestly, I didn't really knowthat he was still alive.
Speaker 6 (37:54):
He still existed in
this timeline.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
It sounds like you're
trying to convince us you're
not at fault oh no, I don'treally care so just for context,
I was looking back, this isthis was like episode 10 yeah,
this is episode 10 yeah, for therecord, gosmez was always
planned to be the BBEG.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
What Always planned,
anyway.
So Always planned after theplayers saved him instead of
letting me kill him.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Oh, alright, touche.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
So we got set back in
time.
So I think we got.
I think we're good.
Took care of the world, allright.
Touche.
So we got to sit back in time.
So I think we got it.
I think we're good.
Took care of the world.
One kid Now we got to go killsome gods to depower Gosmez.
Yeah, it's all good.
All right, sounds like fun, let's do this?
Speaker 6 (38:47):
Yeah, more pressing.
Where are we?
Speaker 3 (38:49):
I don't.
I believe, glenn.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
It seems like you
should have taken care of this
small goblin when you had achance Way back when you know,
you mean you killed it, you know.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
I could have grabbed
a snake and stuck a fang in him.
It seems like maybe killingthis evil being would have been
the better solution in allowinghim to live.
And now you clearly saw himbefore we got transported over
here.
He does not seem like somebodyhe didn't really look like that.
Speaker 5 (39:22):
When I saw him last
he was a little a little goblin
kid and glenn holds his handsabout.
You know, seven, eight inchesapart, little goblinlin kid, he
was totally safe.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
So, as you guys are
sitting there talking about this
, you hear a large lightningcrack and it hits somewhere
close to you and I guess youwould hear the thunder, not the
lightning, because I saw yourface, bill.
Speaker 6 (39:50):
So you yeah, you hear
lightning.
That is the sound that it makesThunder.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Yeah.
So you hear the lightningstrike close to you in an open
area and you hear somebody ashort scream and then it cuts
off and you start smelling likea metallic burning.
Speaker 6 (40:10):
Ozone.
How do we know?
It's a short who screamed.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
It sounded a little
higher pitch than normal.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
That sounds like a
diminutive person.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
What would you all
like to do?
Speaker 5 (40:28):
First off Glenn has
two heads.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
What?
Oh, you're talking about mycall.
Speaker 5 (40:37):
Okay, I'm sorry, um.
So where?
How far away did it sound?
Speaker 2 (40:44):
uh, it's pretty close
it's pretty close and because
you can smell it I'm prettybecause you can smell it
immediately um, you can tellthat it's just up ahead.
Speaker 5 (40:55):
How many seconds
between the flash and the
thunder?
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Immediate there was
no delay, did you say smell it.
Yeah, the ozone.
Speaker 5 (41:06):
He described it.
Speaker 6 (41:07):
I did.
You're saying that it's closeenough to smell?
Speaker 5 (41:11):
Yes, Okay, all right.
So Glenn reaches up and toucheshis hair to make sure it's not
standing up.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Your hair is not
standing up, but all of Monty's
fur is puffed.
It's poofed out.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Yeah, what do I see?
Do I perceive a threat in thearea?
Speaker 2 (41:28):
You do not perceive a
threat in the immediate area.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
So what do I see
around me?
Don't forget.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
I have dark vision,
so what do I?
Speaker 5 (41:34):
see around me, don't
forget, I have darkvision.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
Yes, I know, oh hey,
wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
wait.
Yep, please go ahead.
I have darkvision too.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Anybody else have
darkvision?
Speaker 6 (41:44):
Yes, I haven't read
my character sheet.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Oh okay, that's fine,
we'll just make an assumption
that you do have darkvision asan elf.
Speaker 5 (41:53):
We'll just make an
assumption that you do have dark
vision as an elf.
Okay, okay, so what do we see?
All right, since we all havedark vision Around you.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
You see it is
daylight.
You see a bunch of trees aroundyou, but you do see a column of
smoke rising above the treesnot too far away in the northern
direction.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
Yeah, let's go.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
Yeah, I'm saying
northern not because you all
have a compass, just so theplayers have a sense.
Northern direction yeah, let'sgo.
I'm saying northern not becauseyou all have a compass, just so
the players have a sense ofdirection.
Speaker 5 (42:20):
So we're in this area
comprised of trees, so Glenn
looks at Monty.
Hey, any idea where we're at?
Speaker 3 (42:32):
I believe we're in a
forest.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
You are in fact're in
a forest.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
You are in fact in a
forest.
It's almost like this one wasset up to be in a forest,
because I've gotten thatquestion every fucking episode
for the last 12.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
I mean, you could put
it into an arctic land or
grasslands as well, and it woulddo the same thing.
I believe we are in a forest, but maybe we should head towards
that smoke.
I have no idea where we're atand nowhere to go, but that is
the only thing that's beenpointed out so far, so let's
head towards it.
Speaker 5 (43:07):
Does any of this look
familiar?
Speaker 3 (43:09):
Does Monty recognize
any of this forest that he finds
himself in?
Speaker 2 (43:13):
No, around you, you
do see a few cherry blossoms
that you've never seen before, and they're completely confused.
Like you have no idea.
You've never seen anything likethis before.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
I'm gonna roll a
perception and get a 12 and no,
I don't recognize.
No, I do not recognize any ofthis.
Speaker 6 (43:30):
Unfortunately this
theme is all too familiar, where
there is a literal call forhelp and we are discussing the
minutia.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (43:43):
It didn't sound like
a call for help.
It sounded like somebody justgave a lightning and I don't
think anyone's going to helpthem.
If they get hit by lightning, they're done.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
You hear a faint?
Speaker 5 (43:53):
HELP.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Done?
What direction is the help from?
Speaker 6 (43:59):
I'm still alive.
The same direction as the smokeand the smell it's north.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
Guys, I can't spell
this out anymore, for you all.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
I'm going to roll my
perception at advantage and get
a 22 and back.
Hey guys, Did you hear thatcall from help?
It came from that direction.
We should probably go that wayand Monty will start heading.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
Hold on, let me do a
survival check to see which way
is north.
Oh my god, okay, we go that way.
As soon as Monty starts goingthat way, sam is, I want to
intuit which way is north.
Speaker 6 (44:28):
Can I roll insight?
Speaker 4 (44:32):
Only if you pay for
turboTax.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
This podcast is the
reason I drink.
Speaker 5 (44:37):
Yeah, right Alright
so we're heading north.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
So we're heading
north, so as you start.
Okay, roll me a self-check.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
Oh, okay, I'm at an
advantage.
Speaker 6 (44:52):
Are you always at
advantage?
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Yeah, I have my cloak
oh right wouldn't that be at 25
because below 10, so it'sautomatically a 10 plus the no,
no, no, no, no.
The first time, all right yeah,so 24 got it all right.
Yeah, you successfully hide inthe trees around you, the
shadows of the trees and thebushes, and you melt into the
foliage around you.
(45:17):
That's the word I was lookingfor.
Speaker 5 (45:20):
I will sneak forward
to try to figure out what's
going on.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
Alright.
So as you all step closer orstep further north, you kind of
get an acrid scent of charredflesh and it's stinging your
nostrils.
You can also smell a metallictang that some of you have
already identified as alightning strike.
Close by Smells like SexPanther.
(45:49):
Smells like Sex Panther Works40% of the time.
Every time Smells like sexWorks 40% of the time, every
time, as much as he's traveling?
Speaker 3 (46:00):
do we see any tracks,
footprints, anything?
Speaker 2 (46:05):
like that to give us
an idea of what's in the area.
You're on a well-worn pathright now everybody with the
exception of Glenn and so it'swell-troddenden.
You don't see any distinctfootprints, but you know that
people travel on this pathpretty often.
So after about two minutes ofwalking you see two grotesque
(46:29):
figures.
You see two corpses lying infront of you.
They're blackened and brittleand it looks like they were
scorched by a very hot fire andthey're beyond recognition.
So you see wisps of smoke kindof curling up from the bodies
and you can see trailing hintsof violet and silver sparks
(46:55):
coming up from the bodies andevery couple seconds you hear a
small bang or a flash and youcan see magic it looks like pure
magic coming off the bodies andstriking the ground around it.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
Monty searches the
bodies.
Is there anything to uncover?
It's a chart.
Remains, it's just a pile.
Monty searches the bodies.
Is there anything to uncover?
It's a chart remains.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
It's just a pile, all
right, no.
So, monty, when you get aboutfive feet from it, you feel a
strong, like a heavy feeling inthe air, and this strong sense
comes about.
You Give me a DC intelligencesaving throw.
Give me an intelligence savingthrow.
Speaker 5 (47:36):
Give me an
intelligence saving throw
Intelligence saving throw A DC,something you don't know
intelligence saving throw.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Yes, I got a 15.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Okay.
So, monty, you're overwhelmedby the magic in the area and
your head starts pounding andyou feel a sharp pain, start
from behind your right eye, andit shoots through your entire
body as you fall backwards, awayfrom these bodies, and you are
going to take a nap.
(48:06):
A big old nap.
You're going to take sevenpoints of damage.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
Thanks Glenn for
rolling seven damage against me.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
Oh yeah, I am on
Glenn's.
Speaker 4 (48:19):
I am on Glenn's you
got him.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
Okay, sorry, I
actually should just get my
Colosseum out.
Speaker 5 (48:27):
Brandon, you told me
that was a secret.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
I said Gossmez was
the BBG.
It's been Glenn all along.
That's the reason he survived.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Was this any chance
created by a magical plant?
Speaker 2 (48:39):
It was not created by
a magical plant.
No Good question.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
It's a very pointed
question.
Okay, I take seven points ofdamage.
What did I find on the bodiesthen?
Speaker 2 (48:51):
You couldn't get
close enough.
Speaker 5 (48:53):
You fell down.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
So each of you roll
me an arcana check.
Speaker 6 (49:01):
Easy, I roll.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Oh, I won this one,
guys.
I got an 8.
Speaker 6 (49:10):
I got a 12.
Speaker 5 (49:11):
I got a 16.
Speaker 3 (49:13):
Is there a wall to
climb someplace?
There's not a wall.
Speaker 6 (49:17):
Am I acrobatics my
way through this?
All right.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
Oh, Justin, you do
get inspiration for the night.
I apologize.
I didn't tell you that.
So, Glenn, you, after lookingthrough the pattern, or looking
at the pattern of magic, youstart to sense a certain rhythm
to the magical cracks and you'reable to work your way through
those cracks and get to thebodies to search them if you'd
(49:41):
like.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
Okay, I will search
them.
Okay, so sorry, as I'msearching that I'm looking for
any.
I know you said there areburned beyond recognition, but
do I see anything Like?
Can I tell what said they'reburned beyond recognition, but
do I see anything Like?
Can I tell what race they areor if they're like an elf,
wizard or no, they are burnedbeyond recognition.
(50:05):
Okay, well, I'm not from here.
I wouldn't recognize themanyway.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
But you do find on
the bodies in two bags that seem
to have protected it from thelightning strike.
You find a potion of mindreading and a spell scroll of
programmed illusion.
Speaker 5 (50:26):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (50:27):
Chekhov's spell
scroll.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
Chekhov's spell
scroll Okay, anything else.
Nope, that's it, are you Okay?
Okay, anything else.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Nope, that's it.
Speaker 5 (50:40):
How long does a
potion of mind reading last?
Oh, you don't know, off the topof your head.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
No.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
I don't, that's fine.
What kind of dungeon master areyou?
Speaker 2 (50:49):
I know.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
You don't have all
the rules memorized.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
No and items One
minute.
It gives you the effect ofdetect thoughts for one minute.
Speaker 5 (50:58):
Ten minutes.
I'm sorry, it says ten, I justwas adding it.
Maybe it changed from oneminute to ten minutes.
It added ten minutes.
It multiplied it by ten when itwas transformed from 2014 to
2024.
Okay, doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
It multiplied it by
10 when it was transformed from
2014 to 2024?
Speaker 5 (51:20):
Uh, okay.
Speaker 1 (51:20):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (51:20):
You gave me a piece
of what's that you gave me a
piece of.
You gave me something.
You gave me a magic item.
I'll never use it.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
Yeah, I know you
won't, Monty stands up.
Speaker 2 (51:29):
Wonderful Okay.
Speaker 5 (51:30):
Anything else to
notice?
As I was sneaking through thewoods and looking around, did I
see anything?
Speaker 2 (51:35):
You did.
You actually saw the ruins ofwhat looked like a once gorgeous
temple, lying to the west ofthis little clearing, and you
can see a couple glass windowsthat were shattered and, yeah,
so you can see that to the westof where you are currently.
Okay, so Glenn will sneak thatto the west of where you are
currently.
Speaker 5 (51:55):
Okay, so Glenn will
sneak through the not sneak,
well, he'll wiggle through thecracks again and well shit,
there's nobody to give him ascroll to anyway, so he'll just
keep that, I guess.
So you all notice Glenn.
Well, except for Monty, everybody notices Glenn kind of
coming away from the bodiesputting something in his pouch.
(52:17):
He's a little distracted, sohe's not hiding his activities
as well as he normally does.
And then he will walk over toMonty and as he's trying to help
Monty up, he will say that I'mnot sure about these bodies.
I assume that lightning strikehit them, because you know
(52:39):
there's lightning strike,they're smoldering, but there's
also, over that way is a templethat seems damaged or ruins,
seems old.
I don't know if that will helpus to get our bearings.
Maybe we can find somedocuments or something to figure
out where we are and what'sgoing on it might be here.
(53:04):
I'm sorry I'm taking over.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
I apologize, kid, go
ahead I said Monty will accept
kind of Glenn's outstretched armto help him up and say, yes, I
don't know about those bodies, but I'm definitely going to stay
away from them.
Uh, shall we head to thiscathedral, you see, and now
point towards it are we at thesmoke that we saw, or are we?
Speaker 4 (53:25):
is that still further
to the north?
Speaker 2 (53:27):
no, that is the smoke
that you saw yeah, coming from
the, the lightning strike body.
Speaker 6 (53:34):
Are the lightning
strikes directed towards, like?
Do we learn anything about thepatterns or anything, is it?
I feel like all we're gettingfrom this area is these two
things and we should move on,but I'm not really satisfied
(53:55):
with that that's that's correct.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
Yeah, the arcana
check didn't pass the the dc uh,
yeah, yeah okay, yep understoodso 16 wasn't high enough.
Speaker 5 (54:04):
No, okay, so glenn,
okay.
So for clarification real quick.
Did we actually hear a voicesaying help me?
Speaker 2 (54:13):
or was that?
No, that was totally a joke.
Speaker 5 (54:16):
Okay, because that
would definitely flavor the way
Glenn goes to check out thetemple.
Speaker 6 (54:22):
Yeah, I was surprised
that they were completely dead.
I thought they were.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
No, I was completely
joking.
Speaker 5 (54:31):
Okay, so Glenn looks
at Sam.
Speaker 4 (54:34):
Sam looks back.
Speaker 5 (54:37):
What are?
Your thoughts Awkward.
Speaker 4 (54:41):
I mean, yeah, they
look pretty dead, Could have
been lightning.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
I meant about the
ruins.
Did you want to go check outthe ruins?
Speaker 4 (54:51):
Oh yeah, I'm looking
every direction.
Speaker 6 (54:55):
Sounds good.
Nines, uh thinks that ruinswould be fun to acrobatics on.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
And so he's all about
it.
So, as you guys are talking, another lightning strikes
between Monty and Nines and bothof you feel an electric charge
shoot up your through your legs.
It an electric charge shoot upthrough your legs.
It doesn't hurt you, but youcan feel that electric tingle as
the current goes through theground.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
Do we hear a scream
for help?
Speaker 2 (55:20):
No, you do not.
Speaker 6 (55:21):
Nines will suggest
that we vacate the area.
Speaker 4 (55:27):
Maybe some shelter.
Speaker 5 (55:30):
So Glen will dart
ahead and stealthily go towards
the ruins.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Okay, yeah, Monty
wants nothing to do with this
area that he finds himself in.
He just got zapped by a coupleof dead bodies and now lightning
next to him.
Speaker 6 (55:46):
He's heading away and
probably towards it Like Nines
isn't too scared of magicallightning.
Speaker 5 (55:52):
So are the bags
anything important.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
No, they were just.
They just protected them fromthe bags, protected the items
you found from the lightningstrike.
Speaker 5 (56:04):
Will they protect it
again?
Speaker 2 (56:07):
If you get fried,
yeah, the items inside of it
will be fine.
Speaker 5 (56:10):
Okay, glenn is going
to put all of his stuff into
these bags.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Yeah, definitely not
big enough for that.
Speaker 5 (56:17):
He's going to use the
one that has the potion in it
like a condom Got it.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
Glenn dies, but his
dick is fine.
Speaker 5 (56:26):
Then he doesn't die.
Speaker 6 (56:30):
Glenn lives on in
this necklace that I fashioned
out of his unfried cock.
Speaker 4 (56:38):
Is that their talon?
They called him a dickhead.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Sam wears it as like
a unicorn.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
That's a weird turn.
We're heading towards thistemple.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
So you guys see a.
It looks like it was a oncegorgeous cathedral.
It's lying in complete ruin now.
You can see some stained glasswindows that are shattered and
around the temple itself you cansee some waters that are
bubbling um, and it looks likesome magics coming out of those
waters themselves, and you cansee a stone carving of what
(57:17):
looks to be a green dragon ontop of it.
You can roll a religion checkat advantage if you'd like.
Who can?
Glenn can roll it at advantage.
The rest of you can roll it.
Roll a religion check if youwould like At regular, at
regular.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
I got a natural one
minus one.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
I'm not even sure
religion exists.
Speaker 6 (57:42):
We're climbing some
walls here tonight, nines is
actually pretty proficient withreligion, being a monk as he is,
and so with a plus seven I gottwenty.
Speaker 5 (57:52):
Okay, glenn got an 11
.
Speaker 2 (57:55):
All right.
So, nines, you know that thisis the carving in front of you
shows a green dragon, but italso shows a woman fighting this
green dragon, and you can tellby just the drawing itself.
I keep calling it a drawing.
(58:16):
It's this depiction that it isa depiction of Mistra.
Speaker 6 (58:25):
You said fighting
with an F and not biting with a
B, right Correct, because thatwould be awesome.
If this chick was biting thisdragon, that would be pretty
sick.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
Yes, you recognize
the depiction of Mystra.
She's one of the greatergoddesses of the Faroonian
pantheon.
She's known as the goddess ofmagic or the mother of all magic
, and she from the lore that youknow.
You know that she sacrificedherself to save the weave itself
(58:58):
.
Speaker 6 (58:58):
so the magic weave to
save what the weave the magic
in Faerun is known as the weave.
So Mistra sacrificed herself tosave the weave, correct?
Did she sacrifice herself tosave the weave, correct?
Did she sacrifice herself tothis dragon?
Is that what's being depicted?
Speaker 2 (59:19):
Yes, or is this just
a different celebration of a?
No, she sacrificed herself tothis dragon, and so her
followers in this area were thisdragon you don't recognize.
You just know that it isdepicted as a green dragon, and
you know that Mist is depictedas a green dragon.
Speaker 6 (59:35):
And, uh, you know
that mistra sacrificed herself
to this dragon, along manyothers nice, uh, yeah, and so
we'll obviously relay thisinformation to the rest of the
party.
You're saying, mistra, with anm m?
Speaker 2 (59:49):
y s t r a m is in
mansi, correct.
Speaker 6 (59:52):
Okay, I actually
played that module series.
That's fun.
Speaker 5 (59:54):
The time of troubles
S-T-R-A M as in Mansi.
Correct, okay, I actuallyplayed that module series.
Speaker 2 (59:58):
That was fun the Time
of Troubles?
Yes, it is fun.
So anything else you guys wantto talk about before you go in
there?
Temple.
Speaker 5 (01:00:08):
Are you going to
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
Yes, if you had been
paying attention, I did already
say that.
Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
That's true, yeah,
but this is Nines.
How are you sharing thisinformation?
Speaker 6 (01:00:20):
As directly as he
knows how.
And then, yes, I don't knowthat there's anything that we've
learned thus far that wouldprevent us from moving towards
the temple.
So continuing in that vein.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Bill, do you want to
look in your big book of
religion?
Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
I do.
Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Okay, Mistra is on
page two.
Speaker 5 (01:00:45):
With Saloon.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Yes, no, saloon's not
on page two.
Yeah, Damn it, mistra's on pagethree.
Speaker 6 (01:00:56):
If only you had some
sort of crazy system for pages.
Look at my character sheet Billwas bluffing.
Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
You should have
called him on it, damn it.
Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
Look at my character
sheet Every single time you tell
me the page, I write it down orI type it in All of the gods
that you've given me so far arelisted here.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
I did when in the
character sheet.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Is it?
Is it in the?
Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
notes.
It's in my inventory.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
All right, so you see
that Mystra is known by a few
titles.
She's known as Lady of Magic, the Mother of Mystery.
She's known as, uh, lady ofmagic, the mother of mystery,
lady of spells, the mistress ofmagic, goddess of magic and one
true spell, one of, to name afew of her names.
Um, she is.
She is known, she.
(01:01:49):
She typically comes to the, themortal plane, as a beautiful
peasant girl who was justbeginning her studies of the art
and uh, so that's what sheshows herself as to most of her
followers, and but as a goddess.
Mistra could change her shape atwill.
Mortals saw her.
Mortals who saw her reportedthat she changed constantly,
(01:02:11):
almost like she was bored withthe shape that she was currently
in.
Others described her appearingin the form of a multicolored
will-o'-wisp.
When Misha revealed herself justbefore the gods were forced to
walk the land of Tor-El, she wasat first just a dark figure
surrounded by an aura ofblue-white light.
As she created the pendant ofmagic that held most of her
(01:02:31):
power, the glow revealed herface to be a beautiful, willful
young woman.
She's known as a good god, though she does have an attitude
and a temper, especially forthose that abuse magic to hurt
others, and she's known to bekind of full of herself.
(01:02:57):
She's very pretentious, is theword I'm looking for Mishra
herself, though she doesn'tengage in battle very often,
when she was seen in battle shecould cast any spell that is
known to a mortal at any leveluh, both an offensive and
(01:03:17):
defensive spell once per turn, with the exception of the spell
wish that that spell could onlybe cast by itself once per
minute by mistra okay.
Speaker 5 (01:03:31):
So glenn will um
relate some of this.
He'll flavor it up a little bit, but he'll say that, yeah,
sorry, all my drawings of Mystrahave all are all after she was
replaced or took over the bodyof that girl mid something or
(01:03:56):
another.
So I apologize for notrecognizing this, but if this is
a temple to Mystra, that meansit's a magic temple, and if it's
Mr Sacrifice, we may be introuble because it seems like
magic is going wacko.
Go ahead, nines.
Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
Is any of that
information actually relevant,
or is this just how Bill makesyou dance?
No, it's in his book no, I justmean, like this whole
explanation of Mistra, is thisinformation that we need as
characters?
Possibly yes, some of it is atleast.
(01:04:34):
I'm just wondering if this islike relevant information rather
than flavor text no, so Billhas a.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Well, glenn has a
book of religious deities, yeah,
and.
Speaker 5 (01:04:47):
I know about that, I
just so one of the things about
Mistra where in your inventory?
I can't find it it's in theother items at the bottom of
(01:05:12):
Troubles, and when shesacrificed herself, the weave
went wild and similar like magicwent crazy, just like magic
seems to be doing here.
So it might be information thatwe want to have, knowing that
magic might not be as reliableas we think it is.
May be relevant, may not berelevant, I don't know.
(01:05:33):
It's Brandon's story.
Sort of it's our story, butBrandon is the Captain.
Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
Puppet Master.
Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
Oh, Captain, my
Captain.
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
Oh, Captain, my
Puppet Master, but anyway so it
may or may not be relevant, butisn't D&D all flavor text,
flavor text, with a couple ofdice rolls?
Hopefully no, anyway.
So we'll go navigate in,checking for dangerous areas or
(01:06:05):
traps or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
All right.
So as you all pass the entranceof this giant temple, you start
to hear what sounds likesquabbling inside, and you can
hear three distinctive voices.
So where is it?
There it is.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
One that says the
other one lies, one that says
the other one tells the truthand one that says that I never
lie, fucking riddles.
Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
None of them say
they're liars.
Alright.
So yeah, you can hear threedistinct voices inside, and you
can also see the outline of whatlooks like a dragon skeleton
which is curled up around theruins itself and on top of what
looks like burnt metal and Ifeel like this is the result of
(01:06:55):
a fight long ago.
Yes, nothing here is.
Everything here looks like it'skind of been torn apart long
ago.
But as you get further insidethe temple you start to see a
blue light kind of pulsing, andas you get closer you can.
(01:07:15):
You see three individuals.
You see a, a tiefling, a drowand a half-elf all arguing
around a blue crystal that'sfloating about two feet off the
ground.
Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
How big is the?
Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
crystal, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
Go ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
The crystal itself.
Oh, how big is the crystal.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
Go ahead the crystal
itself.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Oh, how big is the
crystal?
Yeah, the crystal is abouteight inches long.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
That's so tiny.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
That's no less
average.
Eight inches is definitelyaverage for a crystal.
Yeah, eight inches is tiny Fuck.
Speaker 3 (01:07:52):
Where are they in our
latest?
No, we need to talk about thisum fuck, where are they?
Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
no?
Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
we need to talk about
this come on eight inches
average guys yeah, so they'reall we're moving, moving on.
Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
So where's the uh,
where's the crystal in relation
to, and the elves in relation tothis dragon skeleton?
Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
now the dragon
skeleton is what you would call
north of the temple or northinside the temple itself, and
the three individuals are around.
So the crystal is 20 feet southof that dragon and then the
three individuals are around thedragon in a triangle shape,
kind of just yelling across thecrystal at one another.
Speaker 3 (01:08:31):
And where are?
Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
we?
You are all to the northeast,so I'm going to start this
session and invite you allacross the crystal at one
another.
And where are we?
You are all to the northeast,so I'm going to start this
session and invite you all.
You get a mat.
Speaker 5 (01:08:41):
So is it a crystal or
just a regular crystal?
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
From where you are
right now, you can't tell.
Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
But I have night
vision.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
I know you have night
vision Night vision.
Speaker 6 (01:08:53):
No, he's wearing
goggles now.
Yeah, he's setting hisapertures and changing the image
intensification Weird.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Alright.
So as you all enter the temple, you see three individuals argue
.
You hear and see threeindividuals arguing and each of
them are wearing long robes, they have staffs and you can
tell by looking at them there'ssome sort of magic-based class.
(01:09:28):
So in front of you you see atiefling.
Speaker 6 (01:09:32):
That's exactly how I
think in real life.
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Yeah, if they've got
a staff, they're a magic base
class.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
No, I just judge
people by their appearance.
Speaker 6 (01:09:41):
Yeah, perfect.
And you know I try to guesstheir class, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
So you see a At first
, you see a tiefling, and he's
saying this crystal is powerincarnate.
It belongs to me.
You simpletons lack the visionto wield it.
I could reshape the world withthis, tear down the weak and
build a realm where strengthrules supreme.
Hand it over or I'll take itfor my own.
(01:10:09):
In response, a, a drow, saysenough of this posturing from
you.
This crystal isn't a toy foryour petty schemes.
It's a dangerous artifact.
Its power is too volatile to becontrolled by any single
individual.
We should seal it awaysomewhere.
No one can reach it, includingus.
(01:10:31):
And then, with, with a laugh, the third individual says seal
it away.
Where's the fun in that?
You want to lock it up justbecause you're too scared to see
what it can do?
This thing could break therules of reality.
Imagine the possibilities, whatwe can do with it.
Sure, it might destroy us all,but what's magic without a
little risk?
Speaker 6 (01:10:52):
I'm just going to sit
down and eat a snack.
Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
This is entertaining.
This is entertaining, and soyou can see that they're.
You can see magic start arcingfrom the staffs themselves, as
if each of them are about to goto blows with one another.
Oh Monty, what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
I'm figuring out
where to go next.
Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Oh, okay, I'll go
right there.
Just on the crystal itself.
Alright.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Monty moves in, moves
closer.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Alright, so I'm going
to say each of you has a round
before they see you.
So is there anything you wouldall like to do?
Speaker 5 (01:11:30):
Glenn is going to
throw a dagger at the crystal.
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
Well, I was going to
say let's roll, and then we'll
take turns doing stuff yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:11:37):
So roll for some
initiative.
Oh yeah, let's, uh, let's dothat, let's do that.
Oh, we got me some plus fiveinitiative hell yeah, natural 20
, 25.
Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
nice, it's a 18 for
sam 24 for Glenn.
I only have a plus 9.
I only have a plus 1.
Speaker 6 (01:12:00):
Here present A key
you got a natural 20 for 25.
Indubitably so, I go first.
Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
It's me.
What did Monty?
Speaker 6 (01:12:12):
get.
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
I got an 18.
I was waiting.
I didn't want to interrupt, soyeah, sam's 18 is way worse than
my 18.
That is true.
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
It's only a plus one,
18.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
How do you sell
Tiebreakers initiative.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
It's all about
dexterity.
Whoever's the highest?
Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
All right, Give me it
one more time.
What did you get?
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
Glenn 24.
24.
And Give me it one more time.
What did you get?
Glenn 24.
24.
And Monty 18.
18.
And Nines 25.
, 25.
And Sam 18.
18.
Speaker 6 (01:12:45):
Okay.
Yeah, sometimes you will seethat annotated in certain game
systems or virtual tabletops asyour initiative number, let's
say 18, and then dot, and thenyour dexterity modifier, and so
mine would be in this case 25.5.
(01:13:08):
Yeah, and so it still goes innumerical order, just based on
dexterity.
Speaker 5 (01:13:14):
Okay all right, so
there isn't a list of people
anymore you should be able to.
Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Oh, I don't know if
you guys can see initiative
order it's across the top for me.
Speaker 6 (01:13:27):
Yeah, I have never
seen that new.
Speaker 5 (01:13:32):
Used to be a table
that we get it's newish with all
last like two months or so.
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:13:39):
I saw it in the
community game we played a
couple a week ago or so.
Speaker 6 (01:13:42):
I don't remember if I
saw it before that game.
Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
How did the frowny
face end up in the tree?
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
I don't know, I don't
know, where that came from.
Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Just showed up.
Speaker 6 (01:13:51):
Okay, so all of this,
these are walls we're seeing,
right?
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
Yes, those are walls
that you can hide behind or move
behind.
They stand about four feet tall.
Speaker 6 (01:14:07):
Is any of this under
a roof, or it's just these walls
still standing?
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
No, mostly there's no
roof anymore.
Speaker 6 (01:14:15):
Okay, yeah, I'm just
trying to Like I was picturing
something completely different.
So it's all these open-airruins and this dragon skeleton
is what Like a six-foot head, maybe 30 feet from nose to tail?
Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
Yeah, about that.
Speaker 6 (01:14:37):
Actually, I can
measure it for you 33 feet goes
the tail there you go, and so itis really just like this
skeleton laying on the ground, all splayed out.
I thought it would be like in acool I don't know why.
I was imagining like fossilpresentation at a museum.
Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
Up in the air.
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
I don't know, on
display yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
Did you just?
Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
see that, this map.
Yes, you did see it at thebeginning.
Speaker 5 (01:15:13):
No, no, no.
Didn't we just see a fossilpresentation?
When we fought the, we wentinto the temple, the underwater
temple.
Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
It was like the
stuffed oh bye wife fossil
presentation in when we foughtthe.
Speaker 6 (01:15:27):
It was like it's the
stuffed.
Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Oh, my wife.
Everyone says bye, she is.
Yeah, this type of the sharkthat came back to life.
Three animated shark oh, okay, yes, that was like a Like a fish
trophy, though, right, like itwas like heart.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
Trophy like a fish
trophy though right, Like it was
like heart.
Speaker 6 (01:15:42):
Oh yeah, it was a
fish trophy Anyway.
So it's just like laid out onthe ground and looks different
from what I was expecting.
Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:15:50):
Does it look like
these three are going to come to
blows at any point, like couldwe just hold back for a minute?
And they fight each other?
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
It does look like
these three are about to go to
blows.
Speaker 6 (01:16:05):
Can I offer a silent
prayer to?
Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Matty, stop playing
with the map.
Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
I'm sorry, I was
completely.
Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
It was something new
and fun to play with.
Speaker 6 (01:16:17):
It was flashing out
of the corner of my eye.
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
It was Matty playing
with the TTP app.
I'm deleting the stuff that I'mmaking.
Speaker 6 (01:16:23):
Yeah, could I offer a
prayer to Ioun to let them
hasten their conflict to get tothe point where we can just mop
up very easily?
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
Sure, what does that
prayer from Nines, who
definitely prays silently, soundlike?
Speaker 4 (01:16:45):
There's a reason we
only get one round, monty will
cast silence.
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
You're not up, Monty.
Speaker 6 (01:16:54):
Man, I really I 100%
forgot about that.
Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
My prep action is to
cast silence.
Speaker 6 (01:17:10):
And so let me preface
that by saying that I'm
simultaneously moving into anadvantageous position around
this north wall.
So still outside of theirdirect line of sight.
And then my silent or my smallprayer to Ioun would be
(01:17:35):
something like oh shit, they'reabout to fight, Ha, ha, ha Yo
they're about to fight.
Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
Yo, these dudes about
to mess each other up.
Speaker 6 (01:17:47):
That's your silent
prayer.
Well, it has been longestablished that Nines doesn't
pray silently Right and reallydoes not understand what is
wrong with it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
So the rest of you
see Nine, start booking it
behind a wall as he's yelling.
Oh shit, they about to fight.
Speaker 6 (01:18:13):
Oh fuck, I didn't
mean to really give that sort of
visual, but yeah, I guessthat's kind of.
That's how that one comes out.
That's nines.
What a lovable scamp Am.
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
I right.
So yeah, all three of them turntowards your party's direction
and they are surprised.
So surprise round.
Speaker 6 (01:18:39):
It is glenn, you're
up all right hang on does that
mean that they're less likely tofight now.
Speaker 5 (01:18:49):
All right, I'm sorry
guys so glenn decides that glenn
is going to resolve this issue.
Okay, he's gonna.
Glenn is ever the peacemaker,so he's gonna remove the
implement of the conflict.
Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:19:06):
So he's going to take
, go forward 30 feet and throw a
dagger at the crystal.
Get inside 20 foot range.
Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
Alright, exactly,
give me an attack roll 27.
That does hit, give me somedamage.
Speaker 5 (01:19:24):
Hold on, my dice is
on top of my damage thing, so do
I get sneak attack.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Not on a crystal, no,
but it's.
Speaker 4 (01:19:34):
It doesn't know, he's
attacking.
Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
It's an inanimate
object.
You do not get sneak attackdamage.
I disagree.
Speaker 5 (01:19:38):
But sure it's an
inanimate object.
You do not get sneak attackdamage.
I disagree.
But sure it's your game.
You want to cheat how you wantto cheat, that's fine.
Eight.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Okay, your dagger
hits the crystal.
You can see some cracks formbut the crystal does still.
Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
Oh wait, I didn't
move me.
Hold on, shit, hold on.
I'm going move me.
Hold on, shit, hold on.
I put myself in the right place.
Speaker 1 (01:20:06):
Can you guys see what
I'm?
Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
measuring.
Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
No.
Speaker 6 (01:20:09):
The way I described
it in my notes is that they're
all giving evil and it seemslike they're about to fight.
So Nines runs to cover behindthe wall and prays violently to
his goddess Ioun oh shit, likethey're about to fight.
So Nines runs to cover behindthe wall and prays violently to
his goddess Ioun oh shit, they're about to fight.
He yells in supplication.
I think that really sums it up.
(01:20:30):
It does sum it up.
Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
And Glenn, as he's
saying, he says I got this.
Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
Of course you don't
have the axe anymore though.
Yeah, all right, mon don't havethe axe anymore, though, yeah,
Alright, monty, you're up.
Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
Monty will move into
a position where he has a clear
vantage point on all threepeople Do.
Are these things tall?
Oops, I guess you can't.
It doesn't work.
Speaker 5 (01:20:57):
Can I see over the
top of those?
Yeah, they're about three feettall.
I guess you can't.
It doesn't work.
I can see what you're pointingat.
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
Can I see over the
top of those?
Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
Yeah, they're about
three feet tall.
It would give you partial coverif you're standing behind it.
Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
So Monty will move
himself.
We'll say right about here.
So he has a clear shot at allthree people and will ready an
action to attack any of them ifthey make a hostile action
towards a member of our party.
Speaker 2 (01:21:22):
I don't think you can
target all three of them.
I think you have to specifyexactly who you're going to
target.
Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
Which one looks like
the biggest, baddest MF-er out
of the group Biggest baddestMF-er.
We don't judge people based ontheir looks on our podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
Wait, is this a?
Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
ready-to-action.
What are we doing?
Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
So in your six-second
assessment which one looks like
the biggest threat.
Speaker 3 (01:21:46):
Yeah, which one looks
like the biggest threat, Monty.
Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
I would say, based
off of your history, the
tiefling looks like the biggestthreat.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
Okay, so he's going
to read an action against the
tiefling.
If the tiefling makes anythingthat Monty would perceive as
hostile to Monty and his blackcat face outfit, he's going to
attack him.
Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
Oh, that's right, I
forgot you were wearing a black
mask.
Yeah, black cat mask.
I forgot that.
Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
A white cat dressed
up like a black cat.
Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
Alright, I forgot
that A white cat Dressed up like
a black cat, alright.
Speaker 2 (01:22:23):
Moving on Bill.
What's up?
Speaker 5 (01:22:27):
What was the reaction
of the three people fighting
over the crystal to Glennthrowing a freaking dagger at it
?
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
The half-elf seemed
to be a little upset about it,
but the other two weren't reallyfazed.
Okay, all right, sam.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
All right, sam
watched what Glenn had done and
is going to follow suit.
Speaker 6 (01:22:52):
She's going to run up
, she's going to go 40 feet and
she's going to get up here andshe's going to rage, fucking
rage.
That's copyrighted.
You can't use that.
Speaker 1 (01:23:03):
you have to say
something else and you rage.
Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
It's copyrighted and
I have this lightning rage,
storm aura, uh, yep, some rage.
That's my bonus action, okay, and I'm guessing that from where
I started, plus 40 feet, Icannot be within 10 feet of that
drow.
I think she's within 10 feet ofme.
Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
Judeira, it'd be
close.
Speaker 6 (01:23:30):
Yeah, I'll give it to
you Because 40.
Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
Damn, he's gonna give
it to him.
I'm gonna pass it to her.
Speaker 6 (01:23:36):
My intention is sexy.
Speaker 4 (01:23:38):
When I start my rage
and as a bonus action on each of
my turns, a creature of mychoice in my aura takes
lightning damage, which they cando a DC dexterity saving throw
to try to avoid for half damage, for 2d6 damage.
So can you have your JudiroDrow make a dexterity saving
(01:23:59):
throw.
Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Yes, I have a
question for you.
Okay, how rage reads?
You have to physically attackthem to maintain the rage.
Speaker 4 (01:24:08):
I'm going to throw
two axes.
Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
Okay, alright, I just
want to make sure.
Speaker 4 (01:24:12):
Yeah, otherwise it
would cancel.
Speaker 5 (01:24:14):
Yeah, it would cancel
at the end of the round.
Yeah, can you?
Speaker 6 (01:24:18):
have this lightning
aura.
You're so mad that physicallightning is manifesting around
you and you can direct it withyour anger.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
What's the DC, I'm
sorry.
What's the intelligenceCharisma?
Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
Dexterity.
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Dexterity.
Okay, she rolled a 13.
Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
17 to save, so she'll
take full damage, which will be
2d6.
Okay, 4, 8 damage, 8 lightningdamage, and then so anyone else
who's in my aura, so right nowit's Glenn and myself.
We also have lightningresistance as part of my
lightning.
Speaker 1 (01:24:59):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
So as I'm running up,
I'm going to pull my two hand
axes out from my waist holstersand just hook, hook, one after
the other at the crystal also.
Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Okay, that's a double
hook.
Speaker 4 (01:25:12):
It's a double hook.
Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
Give me two attack
rolls.
Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
Let's see 19 plus 9.
The huckleberry fin and a 13plus 9, the huckleberry finn and
a 13 plus 9.
Both heads.
The 19, uh critical hit on 19is a fighter specific champion
subclass thing, so I don't do it.
Oh, okay, so I had to look itup.
So they both hit all right.
So general hucks does itautomatically add oh, because it
(01:25:39):
only immediately attacks him.
So the first one is 9 damageand the second one is 7 damage
to the crystal, 9 and 7.
Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
Bill Huxtable.
Okay yeah, the crystal crackseven further and it falls to the
ground and is laying on itsside, but it is still pulsing.
Do they react in a different?
Now?
They are all very angry andthey're looking.
So the tiefling is you can seea fire burning in his eyes and
(01:26:14):
he's looking directly at Sam.
But the half-elf and the drowthe drow is pissed at Sam just
for hurting her.
Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
But the half-elf is
looking directly at Glenn.
Uh, monty will look at thetiefling with his bow drawn and
just kind of say probably tohimself nobody else can hear but
say don't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
All right, uh, so
back to the top, because that
was a surprise round.
Oh, that was a surprise round.
Yep I did say that.
Speaker 5 (01:26:48):
You did so your rain
action is wasted.
Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
I thought the Okay, I
thought our surprise round was
before.
That was round one.
That was round one.
Speaker 4 (01:26:58):
That was round one.
Speaker 6 (01:27:00):
Oh, okay, I would
have, yeah like uh, by the rules
, they take the surprise toaction or they they have the
surprise status or somethingduring the round.
Speaker 5 (01:27:12):
It's but would monty
perceive that as that?
I mean no I.
Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
I was under the
impression that this was round
one, so I am probably going todo the exact same thing next
time.
Go ahead, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Nines, you're up,
alright, so.
Speaker 6 (01:27:27):
Oh shit, they're
going to fight.
I want the record to reflectthat I have changed my
character's name from Nines toNines Nylun, which means no last
name.
Oh yeah, he doesn't have a lastname.
Because I noticed thateverybody else does.
Speaker 3 (01:27:50):
Ironically, he has
Nines first names.
Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Sam didn't have one
until this episode.
That makes me feel any better.
Speaker 6 (01:27:59):
So I guess shit is
going down, which is not really
what Nines was trying to be allabout.
He just wanted to cast a quicklittle personal prayer.
Of course it's a very religiousand very personal thing, but
everybody had to make it aboutthem.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
Personal between him
and everybody with an earshot.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
I like how you said
it.
And then a casual reminder.
You're like ah, fuck, I forgotabout that.
I yell.
Speaker 5 (01:28:34):
And so you're the one
that prompted Glenn's action.
He was trying to break up thefight.
They were fighting over thecrystal.
Glenn's trying to stop thefight.
Speaker 6 (01:28:43):
Well, nobody has
attacked.
No wait, there has been thelightning thing, correct In the.
Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
But you hucked your
axes At the crystal At the
crystal, glenn did it first, andso now is the crystal the
target.
Speaker 6 (01:29:03):
You know what it?
Speaker 3 (01:29:05):
is so far.
Speaker 5 (01:29:07):
Nines hates this shit
, the crystal's going to explode
and kill us all.
You all know that right.
Speaker 6 (01:29:11):
Well, I hope so, and
I'm going to do a flying kick
off of this fucking dragon skulland I'm going to say something
appropriate like dragon strike.
It would be like just slamminghis heel down.
There's a flip involved,there's a little bit of
acrobatics, you know nothingflashy.
(01:29:31):
We're trying to get a job done.
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Nothing that requires
a roll, except for an attack.
Speaker 5 (01:29:37):
He's going to jump
and yell out sarcastic
catchphrase.
Speaker 4 (01:29:42):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
I'm just not rage.
So, Nines, what are youactually attacking with?
Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Yeah, so I guess that
is going to be my Beunis
unarmed strike, and this is justthe precursor to the bow staff
coming down.
Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
So this does not say
whether or not you hit it or not
.
Roll me an acrobatics check.
Speaker 6 (01:30:09):
Alright, so with a
plus 10, that's a 23.
Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Because you put
flavor in there, I'm going to
give you a bonus to damagebecause of it.
It wasn't going to hurt you ornot, but you put a bonus to
flavor in the combat, so I wantto give you a bonus.
Speaker 6 (01:30:24):
I was just
immediately a little wary.
I know you were.
I saw that Like oh, sorry, youmissed.
Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
You tripped on the
skull.
Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
Yeah right, you
kicked yourself in the face.
Speaker 6 (01:30:36):
Unarmed strike on the
drow 19 plus 10 for 29, so
that's gonna be a wow.
I can't even see the diebecause it's behind the chat box
.
8 on a d10 plus 5 for 13 damagenice, okay, okay, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:30:57):
So you strike her in
the head as you're coming down
and she falls to the ground andshe is toppled A lot.
Speaker 6 (01:31:08):
I'm thinking about it
now.
Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
She's also topless.
She has fallen to the groundand she is topless somehow.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Are the physics of
this world the same?
Speaker 4 (01:31:17):
as.
Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
Knocks the brassiere
straight off her.
Speaker 6 (01:31:23):
Wait, what was it you
actually said I?
I kicked her in the top of thehead.
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
You kicked her in the
top of the head and she fell to
the ground.
So she's prone.
I said toppled, but I meantprone, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
But so now he said toppled butBill heard topless.
Speaker 6 (01:31:36):
Now I can do my two
attacks.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
Yes, you can.
Speaker 6 (01:31:43):
And so I'm going to
quarterstaff.
Man, it's going to be a nicepile driving.
Imagine Donatello putting thefull weight of his shell down on
his quarterstaff.
That's what I'm talking abouthere.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
That's what.
Speaker 6 (01:31:55):
Nines is imagining as
he attacks with his plus 12.
Does a 31?
Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
hit no, I'm sorry it
doesn't, yes it does what the
fuck?
Speaker 6 (01:32:08):
So that damage is
going to be 12.
Okay, and then second attack isa 24.
Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Did you roll those at
advantage?
Speaker 6 (01:32:17):
I did not Completely
forgot.
I guess I'll just roll it twicemore.
See if I throw any 20s and Idon't.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
What's the second?
Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
damage.
Second damage is 11.
I don't know the action for thesecond damage.
The first one was the piledriver.
The second one is like I thinkeven with all of his weight down
, he's just going to do a littlehop, A little pogo stick A
little pogo, stick on it, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
That seems like a
very Nines move.
Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
Alright in that.
Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
That concludes my
turn.
I think Alright, Glenn, you'reup.
Speaker 5 (01:33:03):
So Glenn's still
trying to resolve the conflict
he's going to.
Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
You've grown so much.
Speaker 5 (01:33:10):
So can I do bonus,
action, movement, action.
Yeah, you can do it in anyorder, okay movement action yeah
, you can do it in any order,Okay.
Okay, so he's going to bonusaction offhand.
Throw a dagger at the crystal.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
And then move towards
Fal'Nor, because he doesn't
really like how he's looking athim.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:33:37):
But he's going to put
himself right here in front of
directly north of it's Valianor.
Speaker 6 (01:33:44):
Yeah, that's the
half-elf.
They all on the map here.
They all have names, but wedon't know their names.
Correct, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:33:50):
Okay, I'm going to be
doing a test.
Speaker 6 (01:33:52):
Mine were beating up
on the brow, yeah yeah yeah, and
now you're going at thehalf-elf.
Speaker 5 (01:33:55):
None of them.
They're all different races, soI can just call them by their
race.
Yes, so half-elf.
Speaker 1 (01:34:01):
You don't need to
encourage that.
Speaker 5 (01:34:03):
Well, that's because
that's what Glenn would know,
because he hasn't heard anybodyuse any names and he's really
good about using correct names.
Speaker 6 (01:34:09):
Oh yeah, Glenn's one
of the good ones.
Speaker 2 (01:34:13):
All right, so give me
an attack roll for the crystal
26.
It does it Damage.
Speaker 5 (01:34:23):
You lose.
Since it's the bonus offhand, you lose the plus 5, right.
So, it'd just be 1.
Speaker 2 (01:34:30):
Alright, yeah, so
it's still glowing about the
same amount.
The dagger definitely hit it,but you don't see any more
cracks on it or anything likethat Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:34:42):
And then he's gonna
say Ektor, and can I do Kaboom
at the same time?
Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
I think Kaboom is the
bonus action.
Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
No, Kaboom is a spell
cast.
And then the attack action ispart of the spellcast, so yeah,
I'm pretty sure I can do it.
Speaker 4 (01:35:05):
How do you get?
Is the Ektorp?
Is that a?
Speaker 2 (01:35:10):
Yeah, that's a free
action, yeah, command word,
that's just him brandishing hisweapon.
Speaker 4 (01:35:14):
Okay then.
Yeah, you can do that as partof your move too.
Speaker 2 (01:35:17):
Oh yeah, that's
action.
Yep, okay, alright.
Speaker 5 (01:35:21):
So Ektor Kaboom
Attack.
I've been saying a lot of stuffso I won't be able to do a
witty rejoinder, so it will justbe that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:35:33):
I have no idea if
this guy's an enemy, but he
looks mean.
Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
It's a he right.
Yes, give me an attack roll.
Speaker 5 (01:35:39):
Alright, but he looks
mean.
It's a heat, right?
Yes, give me an attack roll, all right, 27 does it?
Oh wait, let me see where Iposition myself.
Yes, nobody within five feet.
So eight plus 23 plus eight, okay, so 16 plus eight.
Speaker 2 (01:36:06):
Okay, so 1639, yep,
all right.
Yeah, so that is thunder orthunder damage yeah thunder,
damage down.
The word is very angry, don'tlike that.
He doesn't, does not like that,I know, I know, I know all
right, I'm gonna keep trackright through daggers.
Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
Hopefully neither one
of them are damaged.
Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
Alright, Monty,
You're up buddy.
Speaker 3 (01:36:22):
Monty still hasn't
seen any of these people attack
his party, even though his partyhas no problem attacking these
people.
So he's going to.
His bow was drawn with theattention on the tiefling.
He's going to momentarily putit towards the drow and then
towards the half elf, uh, butthen go back to the tiefling and
(01:36:44):
should the tiefling choose toengage a member of the party,
monty will attack the tiefling.
Okay, ready, just ready.
Action again.
Got it because he's he's notslowly convinced that they're
bad people.
Speaker 2 (01:36:59):
I mean, they probably
are now.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
His party has
definitely sealed their fate,
but he's just readying actionbecause, well, Monty's a good
person.
Speaker 5 (01:37:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
Did you?
Guys all catch the moors orsomething Like what is going on.
Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
Don't just
willy-nilly start firing arrows
in people's faces.
Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
That makes
non-friends.
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
Anything else.
Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
Uh, nope, just ready
to action, that's it.
Speaker 5 (01:37:29):
I mean realistically,
glenn should have just done
about a third or more of thisthing's life, but maybe I said
should.
Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
All right life.
Maybe I said sure, alright.
So, judira Nines, in front ofyou, you see the drow disappear
and then she reappears behindMonty and she raises both of her
hands.
So she casts Misty Step.
She raises both of her handsand you see lightning crackle
from them and she places them onMonty's back.
(01:38:01):
She's going to cast ShockingGrasp.
That was your first mistake.
Monty does a 24 hit.
No, okay, great, great.
Speaker 6 (01:38:12):
Nines will use his
free action to fail to warn
Monty in time.
Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
Perfect execution 10
out of 10.
Monty, you're going to take 16points of lightning damage.
Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
Alright 16.
Speaker 5 (01:38:29):
You're not the one.
Speaker 3 (01:38:30):
I'm targeting.
Why would she attack him?
That makes no sense, becauseyou were unconvinced about their
.
Speaker 1 (01:38:39):
You do you so were
unconvinced about their.
Yeah, you do you.
Speaker 2 (01:38:41):
So each of them has a
specific thing that they want,
that they.
Each of them has a specificcombat type.
They're each going to fight adifferent way, but you're the
only one that did for the badone.
Speaker 5 (01:38:56):
Yeah, clearly.
Speaker 2 (01:38:56):
Is Maddie within 10
feet of me?
Is Maddie?
Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
No, but you're the
only one that went for the bad
one, yeah clearly, is that anywithin ten feet of me?
Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
Is Maddie.
Speaker 6 (01:39:03):
No, let's break Grow
likes the back door, if you know
what I mean.
Yeah, but he is not.
Speaker 4 (01:39:09):
Monty, are you 12
feet?
Yeah, Yep, Actually.
Well, I mean 12 feet yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:39:14):
All right, Sam,
you're up to the end back door.
Speaker 4 (01:39:19):
How's this crystal
looking?
You said it's still fluttering.
Yeah.
It's on the ground.
Speaker 5 (01:39:24):
Oh, you put it on the
ground.
Speaker 4 (01:39:26):
Yeah, I dropped the
thing.
So Sam's like she thought wewere trying to take this crystal
out and now she's like we'refighting these dudes.
She's going to keep going afterus.
Speaker 2 (01:39:35):
Oh, actually, I'm
sorry, morris.
I'm sorry Mors.
I had a question for you, ornot Mors?
Sorry Sam, nice twist, youdidn't attack a creature last
turn.
Rage specifically says you haveto attack a creature.
Speaker 4 (01:39:51):
Okay, that's fine,
then I'm not raging and I'll do
it again this turn.
Speaker 6 (01:39:56):
Yeah, the penalty is
you lose one of your rages.
Yeah, and so I mean, take it.
Take it away, Maestro.
It's your ballgame.
That's fine Mix all themetaphors.
Speaker 4 (01:40:15):
Then in.
Sam's.
Confusion she loses her rageand she'll come forward and
attack these crystals with herGravedigger Shovel.
Speaker 2 (01:40:24):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:40:25):
Alright, my first
attack is a 19 plus 11 for 30.
Speaker 2 (01:40:30):
Jesus that does hit.
Speaker 4 (01:40:31):
And I'll roll damage
up.
Speaker 5 (01:40:33):
No, I didn't move,
damn it.
Speaker 6 (01:40:35):
It's 9 damage.
These have been some good rolls.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
Yeah, solid rolls.
Speaker 4 (01:40:40):
My second attack is a
12 plus 11 for 23.
That does hit.
That'll be another.
Oh, I think I have somethingthat lets me reroll damage,
because that sucked.
No, that must have been adifferent character.
Okay, and then for my bonusaction, I will look at the
crystal and see what happens, Ithink that's a free action.
Speaker 2 (01:41:06):
So, because you're
intently looking at the crystal,
you see a few more cracks formand the crystal's light does go
out.
Speaker 4 (01:41:14):
I snort at it
menacingly and then give it like
a little huff and a nod.
Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
Teach you to not be a
creature.
Speaker 5 (01:41:21):
Yeah, so I was oh
yeah, you can't rage.
Speaker 4 (01:41:24):
Sorry, I can rage,
but there's no, no, yeah, and
then so I probably knew what, like 10 feet to get to that
crystal, so stuff like 30 feet, yes, cool.
So I'm gonna go 30 feet towardsMaddie with it On top of her.
I'm gonna to go 30 feet towardsMaddie On top of her, I'm going
to get right up on top of her, nice, and I don't think that I
(01:41:44):
can do anything else.
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
Okay.
So Falnor, this half-elf infront of Glenn is going to raise
his right hand and cast itforward, and he's going to cast
Lightning Bolt, Cast LightningBolt.
It will hit Glen, Monty, theDrow and Sam at the same time.
Speaker 4 (01:42:06):
Sam and Monty have
resistance to lightning.
Just for being in.
Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
Sam's presence.
Speaker 4 (01:42:13):
Oh, I don't have my
rage on Correct, correct.
Speaker 5 (01:42:16):
Okay, I'm trying to
remember.
Is there any penalty to castinga spell while in melee range
with somebody.
Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
If he's targeting you
directly, yes, but lightning
bolt forms a line of 100 feetlong, 5 feet wide, blasts out in
front of you in a direction Ichoose.
Okay, but he's not targetingyou, so it does not have a
penalty.
Because if he was targeting you, it does not have a penalty
because if he was targeting you,it would have disadvantage on a
direct target or, sorry, ifhe's targeting anybody, it would
(01:42:46):
have disadvantage on the attackitself.
But because this is a savingthrow instead of an attack,
there's no penalty.
Speaker 4 (01:42:53):
I do have that
because I have advantage on deck
saving throws against effects Ican see, while not blinded,
deafened or incapacitated, so Iwill get everybody give me on
deck saving throws againsteffects I can see, while not
blinded, deafened orincapacitated, so I will get.
Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
Okay, everybody, give
me a deck saving throw 25.
Speaker 5 (01:43:07):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
I hate to be the
one-upper, but I got a 26.
Speaker 6 (01:43:14):
Had to do it to him.
I got a 17.
Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
Are we still in a
forest?
You are, I'm pretty I got a 17.
Are we still in a forest?
You are, I'm pretty sure that'sa 35.
Speaker 4 (01:43:25):
And I do have
resistance to lightning.
Still, I had to find it.
Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
Okay, what gives you
resistance?
I'm just asking.
Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
My barbarian class is
a storm soul.
Even my storm aura isn't activeBecause I'm a sea primal
barbarian.
I still have resistance tolightning, I can breathe
underwater and I have a swimspeed of 30 feet.
Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
Oh shit, alright, so
all of you have saved against it
, including the drow, so each ofyou take 17 points of lightning
damage.
Speaker 1 (01:43:53):
That's the save, that
is the save.
Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
You want to take 8 or
9 for the resistance 9, always
round up.
Speaker 5 (01:44:02):
So Glen will look at
the half-elf and say you missed
me, bitch.
Speaker 4 (01:44:09):
Sam's down to 139.
Jesus, is that low?
Am I doing?
Okay, what?
Speaker 3 (01:44:19):
happened?
Am I doing okay?
What happened?
Did I win?
Speaker 5 (01:44:23):
Turn his head back
and say, hey, watch out.
Speaker 4 (01:44:26):
Sam sneezes.
Speaker 5 (01:44:29):
I'm still picturing
Monty holding his bow, getting
shocked once again.
Speaker 3 (01:44:35):
Aim at the wrong
person, Alright so Matchless.
This tiefling is going tohappen to do nothing this turn?
Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
Happen to do nothing,
nothing aggressive.
It's going to come up to righthere next to the crystal and
he's going to look at Glenn andGlenn, you're going to feel a
slight pressure behind your headand he's going to make me a
charisma.
Saving throw Should be prettyeasy DC's 20.
So I think you automaticallysave.
Speaker 1 (01:45:07):
I do Right that's
only for skill tricks, not for
his saves.
Speaker 2 (01:45:13):
Oh Right, so what did
you get?
Speaker 5 (01:45:16):
Stab it, okay.
So what did you get?
Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
Seven Okay, oh no.
Speaker 5 (01:45:22):
You're going to put
me to sleep, aren't you?
Speaker 2 (01:45:25):
No, it's kind of
worse than that, actually.
What are you doing?
Who?
Whoever's drawing the?
Speaker 6 (01:45:32):
T-shirt.
That was me.
I was just thinking about thelightning bolt would be be
perfect time for that sort ofoverlay.
Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
Glenn disappears from
the map for one round, goodbye,
and you will reappear in thisspot after the next round.
Speaker 5 (01:45:50):
The same spot.
Speaker 6 (01:45:52):
What if it's already
occupied?
Will they get instigated?
Banish.
Speaker 2 (01:45:59):
It's a reduced banish
.
Banish is a concentration spellthat lasts for one minute.
I'm only doing it for one turn, alright.
Speaker 3 (01:46:08):
That's an aggressive
action.
Speaker 2 (01:46:10):
That is an aggressive
action.
Speaker 3 (01:46:11):
I'm going to go ahead
and take my turn now.
Do it, monty's.
Let's go ahead and use thesharpshooter feet and it's going
to attack.
It's going to attack twice.
Let's see how far is he awayfrom Felnor you have to attack
(01:46:37):
the tiefling yeah, but I have, Ican do Hordebreaker.
Speaker 2 (01:46:41):
No, you specifically
called Ready to Action for
Tiefling.
Speaker 3 (01:46:44):
So you can only
attack.
Okay, so I'll do two attacks atthe Tiefling using Trip Shooter
.
Speaker 2 (01:46:49):
Okay, give it to me.
Speaker 3 (01:46:52):
I got a 15 and a 25.
The 25 does hit 25 is going tohit.
Okay, uh, so I'll choose tomark this.
Mark them as my favorite foeand I'll go ahead and do the
(01:47:13):
damage, but I get the favoritefoe damage as well.
Speaker 5 (01:47:18):
Your sharpshooter
would give bonus damage right.
Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
Yeah, oh sorry,
there's a 20.
Does a 20 still hit.
Speaker 2 (01:47:24):
A 20 does hit.
Speaker 4 (01:47:26):
Okay.
Minus five to attack, but plus10 to damage.
Speaker 3 (01:47:30):
So it's a 21 plus 10,
so 31 damage.
Okay, total Damn.
Speaker 2 (01:47:40):
And as a bonus,
action, cuz somebody literally
just jumped up, can't take abonus action on ready attacks.
Speaker 3 (01:47:49):
It's not a full turn.
I can't just do that in theround at all, mm.
Hmm, it's on your turn in theround, you can.
Speaker 2 (01:47:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
Oh, on my turn in the
round, I can bonus action.
Speaker 5 (01:48:01):
Can you do a readied
action and a bonus?
Can you do a readied action andthen do your bonus action?
Yeah, you still have yourreadied action.
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:48:11):
So you'd have to
declare the bonus action before
the readied action.
Speaker 6 (01:48:15):
The 5e rules on
delaying your turn.
Are so dumb?
Speaker 2 (01:48:20):
Yes, In 2024 rules
you cannot.
Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
I would have to
declare the bonus action and
then the readied action to beable to take them.
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
I mean you can
declare a readied action and
then take them.
It doesn't matter what orderyou do them in.
Speaker 4 (01:48:33):
The bonus action
happens during your turn in the
round, the readied actionhappens the next time.
That, whatever trigger you said, happens before the start of
your next turn and your actionis to be ready to do a thing
okay, so you can move still.
You can do everything else, butyour action, instead of attack
or cast a spell, is on thisspecific trigger.
Speaker 3 (01:48:53):
I will do this
specific thing, yep okay um yeah
, I don't think I can play thatout in a way that I would feel
good about your turn's coming upsoon.
Yeah, I'll just do it.
Then there's a lot of bonusaction stuff that Moni can do
that I just won't take.
Speaker 2 (01:49:14):
Alright, so the
Tiefling does pass his
concentration saving throw.
Speaker 3 (01:49:19):
What's the
concentration saving throw for?
Speaker 2 (01:49:22):
He's concentrating on
the banishment spell right now,
so whenever he gets hit he'sgot to pass the concentration
saving throw.
Speaker 5 (01:49:28):
But he's passed, so I
stay banished.
Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:49:32):
Actually, I do have a
bonus action that would
entirely make sense for MontyNature's Veil Go invisible.
I was going to do Arshadal instride because somebody was on
top of me, but at the time of myturn it would make no sense
because the person wasn't there.
So Nature's Veil would makesense.
Yeah, I see that so becominginvisible.
Speaker 2 (01:49:53):
I mean not right now.
You can't do that right now.
Speaker 4 (01:49:56):
You can only do that
on your turn.
Speaker 3 (01:50:01):
Right now we're in
that guy's turn, but he
triggered your reaction, so Ican't do a bonus action during
that person's turn.
Speaker 4 (01:50:06):
No, no, no, because
you have to do it during your
turn.
Speaker 3 (01:50:08):
Short, short ready to
action or a reaction short of a
uh opportunity attack is theonly bonus action you can take
on someone else that's areaction, not a bonus action,
correct, I thought that countsas bonus action.
Speaker 4 (01:50:22):
No, it does not.
Speaker 2 (01:50:23):
No, typically in a
turns round you have movement
action, bonus action reaction.
Speaker 3 (01:50:29):
Okay, then never mind
, I will do nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:50:32):
You can defer you.
Speaker 4 (01:50:35):
No, you did the thing
already.
You did it.
Speaker 5 (01:50:36):
During his turn.
Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
I attacked Nines.
You did the thing already.
You did it.
You attacked him during histurn.
You attacked him, I attackedhim.
Yeah, all right, nines, you'reup Already, already.
Speaker 6 (01:50:46):
So I assume, because
all three are still up right,
the drow, the half-elf, thechief.
All three are still up whichone looks the most fucked up.
Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
Fal'Nor, the half-elf
is probably.
He's bleeding pretty good froma chest cavity wound.
Speaker 5 (01:51:04):
He's got a sucking
chest.
Speaker 6 (01:51:06):
What the fuck?
Okay, then I will deftlymaneuver around to.
Well, we don't do flankingright, Not in 5e now.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Well, Glenn's not
here right now.
Speaker 6 (01:51:22):
Oh, that's right, but
we don't do flanking, right?
Not in 5e, no, not in 5e.
Well, saying not in 5e is alittle not exactly what I was
asking, because it is anoptional rule.
I'm asking if, within this game, we're doing it.
Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
No.
Speaker 6 (01:51:40):
I think the answer is
no.
Speaker 5 (01:51:42):
Unless there's a
specific storytelling reason,
brandon has not allowed it.
Speaker 6 (01:51:47):
I'll just come here,
I'll just A more direct route
then and give him the old 1-2.
Give it to me, and so this isgoing to be quarterstaff hit
number one for a 29.
Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
Jesus, yeah, that
hits damage.
Speaker 6 (01:52:05):
A 10 second attack is
but a 16.
Does that it?
Speaker 2 (01:52:14):
it does.
No, the 16 does not hit.
Speaker 6 (01:52:17):
Hey, you did it still
gonna attack with, like my left
foot does a 19 hit 19 does it,hell yeah then that'll be 9
damage.
That's mark that down.
That's 9 left foot damage 9left foot damage.
Okay, yeah, it's from the leftfoot.
(01:52:39):
I don't want to work-sided,sort of you know, attribute our
damage numbers.
Speaker 2 (01:52:47):
Alright, Anything
else.
Nines.
Speaker 6 (01:52:51):
No, I like where I am
in life.
I know Glenn will be back in asecond and everything will be
honky-dory.
Speaking of, I did damage tothe half elf yes, is that
concentration oh, he's not theone that cast that the tiefling
was uh, well, yeah, okay, toomuch to hope, then.
Speaker 2 (01:53:12):
No, that is the end
of of my round, okay, uh, glenn
is still banished for this, so,monty, you're up so I'm not
getting saved for that.
Speaker 5 (01:53:20):
This is still
banished for this.
So, Monty, you're up.
Speaker 2 (01:53:22):
Do I not get to save
for that?
No?
Speaker 6 (01:53:25):
not for a banishment.
Yeah, I should have attackedthe tiefling.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
Go back to the realm
you came from.
So Monty, with his bow drawntowards the tiefling, is out of
the corner of his eye gonna seethis uh dark elf appear and is
going to say what the?
And, like the baby fromincredibles, is going to erupt
into flames, casting archdoll instride.
(01:53:54):
Uh, I'll do third level forthat one.
And he's immediately going todrop his bow, pulling out his
spear and shield, and is goingto stab twice at the drow with
the Elvis spear from Adelaide, acharacter that nobody knows
(01:54:15):
about anymore because it's sofar detached from our actual
storyline.
Speaker 6 (01:54:19):
That's not true.
There is a token browser and ifyou click the token, browser
and then select
Speaker 1 (01:54:26):
players.
You see Adelaide Blood Hammerit looks like a dwarven
something.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Give me an attack
then, Fonzie.
Speaker 3 (01:54:40):
Two attacks.
We got a 20 and a 14.
Speaker 2 (01:54:46):
The 20 hits.
Speaker 3 (01:54:47):
The 20 hits.
I'm going to also mark thatperson as my favorite foe.
Seems how they're my firstfavorite, dealing a total of 8
plus 3.
11 damage not much, oh, and ourshadow in stride, because
(01:55:07):
they're still standing theregetting burnt to a freaking
chris, which is 1d6.
Yeah, it's just 1d6.
I'll do another 1d6 of damage.
That's 5, so 16.
A total of 16 points of damage.
Speaker 2 (01:55:27):
Monty, as you strike
with your spear, you feel kind
of an energy you've never feltbefore and you feel like you can
make one additional attack withyour spear.
Speaker 3 (01:55:37):
Alright, I'm gonna go
ahead and equip my shield.
Yeah, nope, monty feels veryattacky today.
Let's go ahead and do thatagain.
I'll use Justin's inspiration.
Speaker 1 (01:55:55):
Monty rolled an 8.
That is not it.
Speaker 3 (01:55:59):
That attacky he oh,
that was cool.
Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
And then whiffs in
the excitement Got too excited.
Alright.
So, monty, you've unlocked afeature of your spear Twice.
During each short rest, you canmake one additional attack with
your spear Twice during eachshort attack with the spear.
Speaker 4 (01:56:17):
Okay, is it attack or
attack action?
Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
Attack.
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
Oh, so that's oh
attack.
Attack action would be twoattacks.
One additional attack Got it.
And I have to use one of thosecorrect.
Speaker 2 (01:56:34):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (01:56:35):
For the VTT.
Here is there no next turn sortof.
Speaker 1 (01:56:40):
Thing.
Speaker 6 (01:56:40):
Because it looks like
.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
I'm highlighted.
Yes, there you go.
Whatever you just said, Ihaven't been doing it.
Speaker 6 (01:56:46):
Ah, alright now we're
there.
There you go.
Wait, does that mean, this isonly round two?
Speaker 2 (01:56:52):
No, I think it's
around three with the surprise
run.
Speaker 3 (01:56:56):
Yeah, Ah there you go
, all right, anything else,
monty um, as a bonus action nope, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Uh, I think I use my bonusaction for our show on stride.
Yes, okay, nope, that's it okay.
Speaker 5 (01:57:15):
And Sorry all right,
your username Monty.
Speaker 3 (01:57:23):
My username.
Speaker 5 (01:57:25):
Yeah, the pen is
mightier than the sword.
Speaker 3 (01:57:30):
Oh, the pen is my,
yeah, it looks like the penis.
Speaker 5 (01:57:33):
might the penis
mightier than the sword?
Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
Don't you know that
your back skit?
Speaker 5 (01:57:39):
Penis mightier for no
apparently not.
Speaker 2 (01:57:40):
I'll take the penis
mightier for 300 Trebek.
Speaker 3 (01:57:44):
I don't want to know,
man, but does it work?
Speaker 2 (01:57:47):
Alright so the drow?
You see her blink out ofexistence and then blink back
into existence over here usingMisty Step and she is going to
cast Firebolt at Monty.
Monty does a 21 hit.
Speaker 3 (01:58:04):
I have resistance to.
Speaker 2 (01:58:06):
Fire, everything Okay
.
Speaker 3 (01:58:08):
Two bolts, two
annoying people.
Speaker 5 (01:58:13):
Okay, great.
Speaker 3 (01:58:14):
A 21 hits Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:58:16):
You're good against
Brandon.
Speaker 2 (01:58:19):
Monty, you're going
to take 22 points of fire damage
.
Okay, you're good.
Against Brandon Monty, you'regoing to take 22 points of fire
damage.
Speaker 5 (01:58:22):
Jesus, who was that?
Speaker 2 (01:58:24):
The drow, the drow,
yep, and the drow is going to
take a few steps over this way.
Speaker 3 (01:58:33):
Does Misty Step
trigger an opportunity attack?
Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
No, no Wait, misty
Step does not trigger an
opportunity attack.
Just ask me and I'll tell you.
Just ask me and I'll tell you.
Alright, sam, you're up.
Speaker 3 (01:58:47):
Do I get a cover from
any of those things that are in
between us?
Speaker 2 (01:58:51):
Well, she wasn't
there when she shot Firebolt at
you.
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
She shot Firebolt and
then moved.
Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Misty stepped here,
firebolted and then moved over
here.
Speaker 5 (01:59:02):
Misty step is a bonus
action.
I have a question.
Speaker 2 (01:59:08):
What's your question?
Speaker 5 (01:59:09):
Are we on our home
plane?
Speaker 6 (01:59:11):
Yes, do we all share
the same home plane?
Speaker 2 (01:59:15):
That's fair.
Nine does not own his homeplane.
Speaker 6 (01:59:18):
Okay cool, because I
was confused.
I was like, wait a minute, I'mpretty sure.
Speaker 5 (01:59:23):
So I thought we just
got sent to another plane.
I'm a traveler.
Speaker 4 (01:59:28):
Is Sam on her home
plane.
Speaker 2 (01:59:30):
Sam is not on her
home plane.
Oh right, no, Sam is on herhome plane.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:59:35):
Oh right.
Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
Yeah, sam is on her
own plane.
Okay, the only one that isn'tis Nines.
Speaker 4 (01:59:44):
Okay, my turn then.
Excellent, sam has now seenMonty get hit twice in her close
proximity and she's real mad.
So she's going to rage.
No, she's going to run forward.
And then, when she gets within10 feet of the strow, she's
going to run forward, and then, when she gets within 10 feet of
the straw, she's going to screamat her with all that she's got
and she's going to rage.
Okay, and then activating rageas a bonus action will strike
(02:00:07):
that lady with some lightningdamage.
She needs to make a dexteritysaving throw.
Please Oof Nat 1.
, nat 1.
That's going to be two whole D6lightning damages for eight
lightning damage give me threed6, because it wasn't that one
I'll add an extra three to that, for a total of 11.
All right, uh.
(02:00:27):
So now I am raging and I'm, asI run up to her, I brandish my
very scary shovel and Irecklessly attack her, and as I
do so, I'm also going to use mygreat weapon master ability.
So I've got advantage, but I'mgoing to take minus 5 penalty to
(02:00:50):
the attack roll to add plus 10to the damage.
I'm going to roll this bad boyat advantage.
They're both 10s, which givesme a 16 to hit.
Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
Both of them 16.
That does not hit.
Okay, but you did.
Attacks to the rage.
Speaker 4 (02:01:03):
Maintains well, and I
have multiple tax, so I'm gonna
attack again oh yeah, also withthe, the great weapon fighter.
So this will also be anadvantage.
There's a natural 20, baby itdoes hit.
Speaker 1 (02:01:17):
Holy shit.
Speaker 3 (02:01:19):
Critical.
Speaker 4 (02:01:21):
Alright, that's a big
crit too, holy shit, yeah, so
that's going to be.
So it's normally a d12, plusit's two extra d trails for my
crit thing, plus ten extradamage on top of the normal
damage.
So it's 16 plus 3d12 on thiscrit 16 plus 3d12?
Speaker 2 (02:01:39):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (02:01:41):
Sam grabs 9 staff and
shoves it up her ass.
Speaker 6 (02:01:48):
What the fuck I have
to touch that that's 29 damage.
Speaker 2 (02:01:56):
Tell me how you're
going to kill this draw.
Speaker 6 (02:01:59):
I'm Not through
brutal ass-fucking.
Speaker 3 (02:02:05):
Turned into a nine's
lollipop.
Speaker 1 (02:02:07):
She's a shish kebab.
Speaker 4 (02:02:11):
Sam as she runs up,
her eye is super wide and her
veins are popping out.
She's just screaming androaring.
There's little shooting out ofher mouth as she does so and she
swings wildly the first timeand this drow is scared and
dodges back for a second like,oh I, fucked up.
And then, as Sam rings backfrom a left to right attack, she
(02:02:31):
just turns it around and justtakes another step and just, and
then swings her shovel rightthrough the midriff of this drow
and disembowels her right Likejust one fell swoop.
Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
Yeah, the drow
screams once and you can see her
try to push her hand forwardone more time with electricity
and she just falls short of youas she tries to reach towards
you and falls to the ground anddies.
Speaker 5 (02:02:56):
Not trying to shove
her guts back inside of her.
No, she's very angry.
Speaker 2 (02:02:58):
Is she okay with her
guts back inside of her?
No, she's very angry, is she?
Speaker 5 (02:03:01):
okay with her guts
being outside of her.
Speaker 2 (02:03:03):
Yeah, she's fine
Anything else.
Sam.
Speaker 4 (02:03:07):
Uh yeah, so I just
want to measure how far I ran so
I can really fuck with theseguys.
Alright, that was about I don'tknow, we'll call it 30 feet-ish
.
Speaker 2 (02:03:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:03:16):
Uh, so I'm gonna turn
and look at Fal'anor, okay, and
I'm gonna just scream at himand then start running at him,
okay.
Speaker 1 (02:03:26):
Alright.
Speaker 4 (02:03:27):
So, he's like
grabbing the map and I actually
get ten feet closer to him.
Speaker 2 (02:03:30):
Okay, uh, just so you
know, just so you can see it.
Oh, that's a glint.
Just so you know, this is awall right here, so you're gonna
have to walk around it.
Oh, just so you know, this is awall right here, so you're
going to have to walk around it.
Speaker 4 (02:03:40):
Okay, then I'll be a
little bit more this way I'll go
.
Yeah, that's fine.
I'll be on the front of thisplace.
Speaker 3 (02:03:45):
I had a question
about that wall.
Is it a tall, tall wall, or isit just difficult to train?
Speaker 2 (02:03:49):
They're about three
and a half feet tall.
Speaker 3 (02:03:51):
So they count as
essentially difficult to train.
Speaker 2 (02:03:53):
Yeah, I mean, I guess
you could leap over them.
I didn't think about it, yeahdude, it's about this tall.
Three and a half feet, that's aleap.
Speaker 6 (02:04:12):
Stand up and show me
three and a half feet.
Speaker 3 (02:04:15):
Don't worry,
difficult train doesn't impede
our group's movement.
We're in a forest.
Speaker 2 (02:04:20):
We're in a forest.
We're in a forest.
Speaker 1 (02:04:24):
I guess that's true.
Speaker 2 (02:04:27):
I'm going to look it
up on the unwall rules, but yeah
, it's about three and a halffeet tall, alright, so, falnior.
Speaker 6 (02:04:35):
Falnior.
What a stupid name man, if 9'snew Founior's name oh man.
Speaker 3 (02:04:44):
He would.
He would give him something tobutt with his staff.
Speaker 6 (02:04:48):
Full on.
Wait, is that more Anal torture?
Alright, so Founior.
Speaker 2 (02:04:58):
Founior anal torture
Alright.
So, Falnior is going to stepaway from nines and nines, you
get an opportunity attack.
Speaker 6 (02:05:09):
I want to take it.
Speaker 5 (02:05:11):
So you said that
Glenn comes back at the end of
the round or the end of his turn.
Speaker 2 (02:05:18):
At the beginning of
your turn, you come back.
Okay.
Speaker 6 (02:05:21):
It was a 27 hit.
Speaker 2 (02:05:23):
It does.
Give it to me.
Speaker 6 (02:05:25):
Oh, yeah, baby,
that's some fucking, that's some
9 damage 9 damage.
That's a 9 from 9s.
I just realized I'm not usinglike a third of my fucking
screen real estate.
Speaker 4 (02:05:38):
I have this giant-ass
monitor and I'm not using like
a third of my fucking screenreal estate.
Speaker 6 (02:05:39):
I have this giant ass
monitor and I'm like clicking
back and forth between tabsGross.
I'm sort of caveman.
Speaker 2 (02:05:49):
Alright, so Founyor
is going to step back here and
he's going to scream loudly soeverybody can hear.
I am Founyor.
Founyor, scream loudly soeverybody can hear.
Speaker 5 (02:06:01):
I am Falnior.
Speaker 2 (02:06:06):
Hear me roar.
I am the great.
Speaker 6 (02:06:09):
Mine is gonna furrow
his fucking brow.
Speaker 1 (02:06:13):
We need to keep this.
Speaker 5 (02:06:15):
We need to keep this
guy alive, so Brandon has to
keep doing the voice.
Speaker 2 (02:06:18):
I am Falnior.
I am found York.
I am found.
Speaker 1 (02:06:22):
He is a new party
member.
Speaker 2 (02:06:25):
On nines he's going
to cast Insect Plague.
Oh, that's a terrible instance.
Speaker 6 (02:06:31):
Oh my God, they're
not blood-sucking insects, are
they?
Speaker 4 (02:06:34):
They are
blood-sucking insects.
Speaker 3 (02:06:37):
They suck something
else.
Speaker 6 (02:06:39):
So this is a great
place to use the overlays.
Speaker 5 (02:06:43):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (02:06:44):
You can change the
color, you can throw a pattern
in there.
Speaker 2 (02:06:48):
Where's the circle?
There's a circle that I candraw on here somewhere, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:06:51):
In the overlays.
Speaker 2 (02:06:53):
There it is, that's
what I was looking for.
Thank you, guys.
Speaker 6 (02:06:56):
You're so welcome.
Get that shit out of here, bro.
I'm being real out of here, bro.
I'm being real respectful ofyour VTT.
Speaker 2 (02:07:04):
Fine, you're right,
you're right, I'm gonna grab
this.
He's gonna cast it on Glenn oron Nines.
Speaker 5 (02:07:11):
That was mine, he's
casting it on a different plane.
Speaker 2 (02:07:15):
And so Nines and
Matchless with the T-Fling are
both going to have to makeconstitution saving throws.
Speaker 6 (02:07:26):
What am I
concentrating on?
Speaker 2 (02:07:28):
Constitution
Constitution.
Speaker 6 (02:07:34):
I'm concentrating on
my constitution.
What are you thinking about?
Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
Does a 19 save me
from these terrible insects it
does, and so you're only goingto take half damage at 14.
Hooray and the tiefling passesits constitution, so he's also
going to take 14.
Speaker 5 (02:07:55):
Who passed the
lightning bolt?
Speaker 2 (02:07:57):
That was Falnior.
Speaker 5 (02:07:58):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:08:00):
Fucking stupid ass,
stupid ass, stupid ass.
Speaker 5 (02:08:04):
So does that stay
around?
Speaker 2 (02:08:07):
The insect blade.
Yes, it's a concentration spell.
Speaker 6 (02:08:11):
Oh, I was thinking
it'd be real tight if a
lightning bolt would stickaround and just be like an
obstacle, just be real mean.
Speaker 2 (02:08:20):
That'd be pretty
awesome.
Speaker 4 (02:08:22):
I just realized that
I missed a trigger.
I'm very sad.
Part of my great weapon masteris that when I drop a bad person
or enemy, I get to make anextra attack.
I could have chucked anotheraxe Dang.
Speaker 2 (02:08:38):
This tiefling is
going to step back and you see a
double firebolt come out of him, and one is going towards nines
and the other is going towardsFalnior, the half-elf.
Speaker 6 (02:08:49):
Oh, they're fighting
each other.
Speaker 2 (02:08:53):
Ooh nat 20 nines.
Speaker 6 (02:08:56):
Oh no.
Speaker 2 (02:08:57):
And then for the half
or the half or the half, elf A
17, nope, sorry, 19 with.
So they both hit.
So 9s you are going to take?
Speaker 6 (02:09:10):
Oh, these are fire
bolts, fire bolts, yes, yeah
okay, so those are just like.
Direct attack sort of, asopposed to the fireball, which
is the area 9s you are going totake 24 points of fire damage.
What if I direct?
Speaker 2 (02:09:19):
attack sort of, as
opposed to the fireball, which
is the area Nines, you're goingto take 24 points of fire damage
.
Speaker 6 (02:09:23):
What if I say that I
don't want to.
Speaker 2 (02:09:27):
I mean, do you have
anything to stop it?
And the half-elf is going totake 16.
Speaker 1 (02:09:30):
That's not what I'm
saying.
Speaker 6 (02:09:32):
Oh, okay, you said to
take the damage.
Speaker 2 (02:09:35):
Okay, alright.
Speaker 6 (02:09:39):
And I hadn't thought
a lot of it.
Speaker 2 (02:09:41):
You're right, this is
half.
Elf is going to pass thisconcentration saving you said 24
damage, 24 fire damage.
Speaker 5 (02:09:48):
Yes, I hate that too
nice that frickin tiefling or
that it's a different thingmaking a constitution, Never
mind.
Speaker 2 (02:09:59):
Nine, it's your turn.
Is Glenn back?
Yet he will appear right afteryour turn.
Speaker 6 (02:10:07):
I'm going to make
sure that it's my fault that he
appears.
I'm going to run up to thistiefling.
Speaker 1 (02:10:12):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (02:10:14):
And then I'm going to
give the tiefling a little
talking to Give him the talkingA little.
What for?
Well, yeah, with mybutt-covered quarterstaff.
Ah, motherfucker, does anatural one for a 13 hit?
No, it does not.
Speaker 3 (02:10:35):
That's still pretty
good.
Speaker 6 (02:10:37):
Does a 31 hit you,
son of a bitch?
That does hit All right.
Well, I think that is alsogoing to call for a flurry of
blows.
Oh shit, Got me a nine on thatD10.
And 16 damage on the tiefling.
Speaker 2 (02:10:57):
Okay, 16 damage.
Let me do a concentration throwFails.
Glenn, you reappear.
I need you to make me aconstitution saving throw.
Speaker 3 (02:11:07):
Okay, I will.
That didn't actually help.
Speaker 5 (02:11:12):
Well, it's going to
happen anyway.
Does the crystal make aconstitution saving throw?
No, why not?
Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
Because it's an
inanimate object.
Speaker 5 (02:11:23):
No, those insect
swarms are stinging everything.
Speaker 2 (02:11:26):
It says creatures
need to make a constitution
saving throw.
Speaker 6 (02:11:29):
I'm sure the
mosquitoes are stinging rocks,
just like all mosquitoes haveevolved to do.
Speaker 2 (02:11:37):
You do pass the
constitution, saving throw.
What if I identify as two?
So, Glenn, you're going to takeall low rolls.
That's six damage.
Speaker 5 (02:11:50):
Okay, I will take
three instead.
How's that?
Like that?
Fine, Actually hold on.
Let me make sure that I canactually do it like that.
I don't remember.
Speaker 4 (02:11:59):
It's a reaction from
a source per round right.
Yes, you wouldn't have had anopportunity to take any other
reaction, so I don't think thatmakes sense.
Speaker 3 (02:12:07):
Well, it's a new
round.
Speaker 4 (02:12:10):
He hasn't had an
opportunity, so we think he
could.
It'll be the only one thisround.
Speaker 5 (02:12:15):
That's pretty low
damage.
Speaker 4 (02:12:17):
I don't know if
that's worth it.
Speaker 2 (02:12:20):
Yeah, I'm not going
to do it.
Alright, you take six damage, then Welcome back Did you do
your flurry of blows.
Speaker 6 (02:12:27):
No, not yet.
That is at a plus ten, for soclose.
You know what number is real, close to twenty.
Speaker 2 (02:12:36):
Twelve, that's number
two, which is what I rolled for
a 12.
Speaker 3 (02:12:42):
Yeah, that is not it
2 is technically only 0 away
from 20.
Speaker 6 (02:12:50):
That means it's the
same number, 2 plus 0 equals 20.
Speaker 3 (02:12:57):
When you concatenate
2 and 0, you get 20.
Speaker 6 (02:13:03):
He's got a point.
Yes, he does.
Speaker 3 (02:13:05):
Peter Science math my
friends.
Speaker 6 (02:13:06):
I thought you said
Peter Science.
I don't know who the fuck Peteris, but they're a god damn
genius.
Speaker 5 (02:13:15):
His science math is
weird.
Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
Nines anything,
anything else.
Speaker 6 (02:13:22):
Sorry, no, that, yeah
.
That concludes my turn.
Speaker 2 (02:13:26):
Alright, glenn, you
are back.
You're around a bunch ofswarming insects that are
stinging the fuck out of you, right?
Speaker 6 (02:13:31):
now.
They might have some of myblood, so I'm going to need your
help.
I don't know which ones.
Speaker 5 (02:13:42):
Len will say look her
out, what the fuck?
And dart forward to stand rightnext to the half-elf.
Speaker 3 (02:13:51):
FAL-NUR.
Speaker 5 (02:13:53):
Outside of the insect
swarm.
Speaker 3 (02:13:56):
My power is greatest
my name is F Fal-Nior.
Speaker 6 (02:14:02):
Wait, no, you're
saying, you're saying Fal-Nior,
fal-nior, it's not.
You know what.
Speaker 4 (02:14:09):
Don't tell him how to
say his name.
Yeah, that was, who would knowbetter.
Speaker 6 (02:14:13):
You're right, you're
right, I thought it was
Fal-E-Nor.
Speaker 4 (02:14:17):
No, it's because it's
a regional dialect guys.
Speaker 6 (02:14:20):
Just imagine how
things were when he was growing
up, going through school andeverybody's mispronouncing his
name.
He's constantly out to correctpeople.
Awful Like.
No, it's actually Falynor.
I know, I don't know why it'sspelled that way.
Speaker 4 (02:14:34):
Thank my parents.
Speaker 2 (02:14:35):
My dad was a little
drunk when he wrote my name on
the birth certificate.
It happens.
Speaker 6 (02:14:38):
Yeah, right, Like we
gotta have some empathy here.
Speaker 2 (02:14:41):
You're right what you
got, Glenn.
Speaker 5 (02:14:46):
Yeah, because that's
something.
Speaker 6 (02:14:47):
Glenn's good at.
We're all on a journey bro.
Speaker 5 (02:14:53):
So is Bill, anyway.
So Glenn will dart forward andI say kaboom and poke the
half-elf because he doesn't knowhis name that's true.
Speaker 2 (02:15:06):
You weren't there
when he yelled his name out loud
.
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 6 (02:15:09):
Uh, nine, fool, that
does hit his name is Falnir,
isn't that stupid?
Speaker 5 (02:15:16):
that is a stupid name
right, thank you so he will do
Stupid.
That is a stupid name, right, thank you.
So he will do 8, 22, 15.
Speaker 2 (02:15:27):
Jesus 30, 45 damage.
Alright, tell me how you killFounior.
Speaker 5 (02:15:34):
So Glenn will say you
really shouldn't argue over
rocks.
And you'll see him go likeswipe his sword back and forth a
couple of times across theguy's chest and then just jab it
straight in the middle wherehe's cut the guy's cloak out of
the way to expose bare skin soit kind of cut an x into it so
(02:15:57):
it kind of opens up a little bitand then he just jabs his sword
directly into his chest cavity.
Speaker 3 (02:16:03):
You don't have to
worry about that anymore.
Speaker 5 (02:16:07):
And he pulls his
sword out and just flips off the
blood.
Speaker 2 (02:16:11):
I got to cut a G into
his shirt, the half-elf, falls
to the ground clutching hischest, and he screams one more
time.
I have found your as hecollapses to the ground the
stupid name and then he looksover, then he looks over at the
t fleet.
Speaker 5 (02:16:29):
You're next, you know
, not by me, but somebody.
Okay, right, all right monty, you're up, that's all what he
said
Speaker 3 (02:16:37):
um, okay, so map wise
monty's, at the northern
section of the map, we've gotone remaining enemy in the east,
or the western quadrant of it.
Sam is on the east, bill is inthe south, this little thing
right in front of me.
Is this again a difficultterrain?
Not for us.
Speaker 2 (02:16:57):
No, that pillar is
five feet taller.
Speaker 3 (02:17:00):
So do I have to go
around it.
Speaker 2 (02:17:02):
Yes, you do.
Speaker 3 (02:17:04):
Okay, so Monty will
go around it 10 feet of movement
and then use my other 50 feetof movement to get on the other
side of the remaining tiefling.
How many movement you got, bro?
I got 60 total right nowBecause of the Archidol in
stride, thus lighting him onfire a little bit as he's
(02:17:28):
stabbing him with his spear.
So I'm going to do threeattacks with the Elvish Spear of
Adelaide.
Speaker 2 (02:17:37):
So you're using your
second attack.
Speaker 3 (02:17:40):
I'm using my second
one.
Speaker 2 (02:17:41):
Alright.
Speaker 3 (02:17:42):
The dice is literally
showing an 18.
Instead, it rolled a 4.
That's so weird, okay.
First attack misses Secondattack misses Dang, they all
missed then 9, 17, and 14.
Speaker 2 (02:17:58):
All three miss.
Speaker 3 (02:17:59):
Okay, so he takes 1d6
damage from the fire.
Speaker 2 (02:18:04):
Give it to me.
Speaker 3 (02:18:05):
Oh, I'll give it to
you all, right For a natural 6.
Speaker 2 (02:18:09):
All right, all right
that kills him.
Speaker 3 (02:18:15):
This is going to be
the most anticlimactic finish.
Speaker 1 (02:18:17):
It does not kill him.
Speaker 2 (02:18:18):
It does not kill him.
Speaker 3 (02:18:23):
Hey, that really
hurts.
Knock it off.
And then for a bonus action, monty is going to use the
natural veil and just kind ofrealizing his attacks did not do
anything to this superior likesupreme being that he was trying
realizing his attacks did notdo anything to this superiorly
like supreme being that he wastrying to stab with a spear.
Speaker 2 (02:18:45):
He's just going to go
invisible, okay, even though he
hit it with his bow earlier.
Speaker 3 (02:18:50):
Apparently he can't
touch it now and he's just going
to disappear into thebackground.
Speaker 2 (02:18:54):
Well, you don't use
your spear very often.
It's a new weapon for you.
It's new.
All right, he's all shy for you.
Speaker 3 (02:18:59):
All right, he's all
shaggy.
Speaker 2 (02:19:00):
Sam, you're up.
Speaker 4 (02:19:02):
All right, yep.
So Sam now focuses theattention of her rage to I can't
read his name because there'sso many things on there.
Speaker 2 (02:19:13):
His name is Matchless
.
Speaker 4 (02:19:14):
Matchless.
Yeah, and I have a 40-footmovement speed, which means I
can get right on top of thatlittle bitch.
Hell yeah, and I have a 40 footmovement speed, which means I
can get right on top of thatlittle bitch.
Hell yeah, join our fuck train.
So I'm going to continue.
Just let out another huge roarand just run at him and get
right up next to him.
So now Monty and Nines are bothwithin my lightning magical
aura.
I'm going to use my magicalaura to do some lightning damage
(02:19:39):
to him.
So you have to make a dexteritysaving throw, please, as a
bonus action.
Speaker 2 (02:19:44):
Does a 17 save?
Speaker 4 (02:19:46):
17 meets, so you'll
only take half of these 2d sixes
.
Speaker 3 (02:19:52):
We have to do the
same.
Speaker 4 (02:19:54):
You'll take half of
three.
Damage for two to a pinch Yep.
Is it just?
Speaker 2 (02:19:59):
enemies, or is it all
creatures?
Speaker 4 (02:20:03):
It's one enemy, okay.
Speaker 3 (02:20:05):
You're also in my
flame aura right now.
That's fine.
I think it's the end of my turn.
I can move to get him out of it.
Speaker 4 (02:20:14):
If I enter your space
, does it hurt me?
I mean, I don't really carethat much.
When you move within five feetof a creature or object that
isn't being worn or carried, ittakes a d6.
It does it only once a turn.
Yeah, that's fine.
I'll take your 1d6 and hopethat my life just gets me
through it.
Speaker 3 (02:20:33):
No, no, you're fine,
it's when I move within 5 feet
of a creature or an object.
So you move within 5 feet of acreature or an object.
Speaker 4 (02:20:39):
So you move within
five feet of me, so it doesn't
actually attack perfect, andthen I will bring out my bloody
shovel and perform anotherreckless attack, or a series of
reckless attacks.
The first one is a 12 plus 9for 23.
Sorry, 12 plus 11 for 23 23.
That hits and that damage is 18.
(02:21:01):
Dang.
Speaker 6 (02:21:03):
And then 12 on that
d12.
Speaker 4 (02:21:06):
Another yeah, good
one and then another attack.
So it's 16 plus 11 for a 27 tohit.
That hits For another 5 plus 6for 11 damage.
Okay, and that's my move andbonus.
Speaker 2 (02:21:25):
Alright.
Yeah, his tiefling's lookingrough.
He's got blood coming out frompretty much every hole in his
face.
His right eye is swollen shutand he's got cuts all over him
and he looks around at all ofyou and he laughs.
Once I didn't hear no bell.
He says oh, if I'm going, you're going with me.
(02:21:47):
And he raises his hand andthrows a fireball directly at
his feet.
Danger sense.
Speaker 4 (02:21:56):
I can see it right.
Speaker 2 (02:22:00):
Uh, alright, so all
three of you need to give me a
dexterity saving throw.
I can see it right?
Speaker 6 (02:22:05):
Yes you can Hey-oh,
does a 25 save it?
Speaker 4 (02:22:10):
does save Brandon, so
with danger sense I have
advantage on dex saving throws.
Does a natural 1 plus 2 or a 3plus 2 win no.
Speaker 2 (02:22:23):
No, it does not.
Speaker 4 (02:22:24):
Alright, how does
this fireball treat us?
Speaker 2 (02:22:26):
Monty, what about you
?
I got a 28.
Speaker 3 (02:22:30):
Okay 19 plus 9.
Is this?
Speaker 4 (02:22:34):
the fireball that
does lightning damage.
Speaker 2 (02:22:37):
No, it does not do
lightning damage.
Okay, just checking, that wouldbe cool.
It's a very unique fireballthat does lightning damage.
Speaker 4 (02:22:39):
No, it does not do
lightning damage, okay, just
checking.
Speaker 3 (02:22:42):
It's a very unique
fireball.
Speaker 2 (02:22:47):
So, for those of you
that saved, you took 16 points
of fire damage.
For those of you that failed, you took 32 points of fire
damage.
Speaker 4 (02:22:55):
Do I have to tell?
You when I get below 100 health, because I wouldn't tell you,
but my monk has evasion meaningthat my dex saving throw gives
me zero damage.
Speaker 2 (02:23:09):
So you took zero
damage.
Correct Nice.
Speaker 5 (02:23:13):
He has the same
evasion that the monks and
rogues share that.
I think monks get it later.
Speaker 6 (02:23:18):
Much later, yeah,
like seven, I think.
Speaker 2 (02:23:21):
Monty, what does that
put you at?
Speaker 3 (02:23:23):
Jeez, I'm down to 17.
Monty's hurting here he startedthe fight at 95.
I've taken a lot of damage, just freaking go around.
Speaker 5 (02:23:32):
I mean Glenn took six
.
I'd be almost bloody at 95.
Speaker 1 (02:23:36):
Six.
Speaker 2 (02:23:39):
The tiefling ignites.
And dies what's your question,Glenn.
Isn't that the thing that?
Speaker 6 (02:23:46):
they're susceptible
to.
Speaker 5 (02:23:48):
Did the crystal die?
Speaker 2 (02:23:51):
The crystal is on the
ground and is not glowing.
Speaker 5 (02:23:55):
It just took 32
points of damage, right.
Speaker 2 (02:23:58):
No.
Speaker 5 (02:23:59):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (02:24:01):
I mean it's on the
ground and not glowing Like it
doesn't die.
Speaker 2 (02:24:05):
It's an inanimate
object.
Speaker 5 (02:24:07):
I know, but I want to
make sure the thing isn't going
to friggin' do anything.
Is it destroyed?
Speaker 2 (02:24:12):
No, it's still on the
ground.
Speaker 6 (02:24:15):
You take a crystal
outside, you hit it with a
flamethrower.
You tell me how much damage ittakes 32 32.
Damn, that was wildly accurate.
Speaker 2 (02:24:30):
All right, so you are
out of combat.
We are going to wrap up here ina second, but is there anything
you'd like to do?
Speaker 3 (02:24:42):
I may not take the
damage from that last round.
Speaker 2 (02:24:45):
No, you took the
damage from that round.
Speaker 3 (02:24:49):
Nature's Hill
literally doesn't do anything,
except for I can't be targetedLike fireballs.
I'm not targeting correct.
Speaker 6 (02:24:56):
Shines is going to go
lick my wounds.
Speaker 5 (02:24:59):
Nines is going to go
recollect his blood from all the
insects, yeah when the insectsdisappear when Falnior died,
does his blood just pop out ofthe insects?
Speaker 6 (02:25:14):
the blood goes with
the insects yeah, but the
insects die though right andfall on the ground.
Speaker 2 (02:25:19):
I mean the spell
dissipates, yeah, I would say
the insects fall, yeah, but theinsects die, though, right, and
fall on the ground.
I mean, the spell dissipates, yeah, I would say the insects
fall and die to the ground.
Yeah, there's just thousands ofinsects on the ground.
You know what?
Speaker 3 (02:25:27):
Mortars.
Speaker 6 (02:25:32):
Every journey of a
thousand miles.
So for my penance of creatingthe wh uh, for my uh, for my
penance of creating thewholeness of my own body, I'm
gonna uh use Wholeness of Body, which is once per long rest.
I can regain 39 hit points.
Speaker 2 (02:25:50):
Alright, do it.
Speaker 6 (02:25:53):
And that brings me
back to full.
Speaker 5 (02:25:55):
Nice.
So Glenn is gonna look around.
What?
Why were we fighting?
Never mind, you know.
Reach down and check outValnior's corpse.
Speaker 6 (02:26:09):
We're fighting
because the environment felt
right for combat.
Speaker 5 (02:26:14):
Fair Okay.
Speaker 6 (02:26:15):
Alright On.
Speaker 5 (02:26:16):
Valnior's body.
Speaker 2 (02:26:19):
You find two scrolls
of lightning bolt and 24 gold
pieces.
Speaker 5 (02:26:24):
Nice, glenn is going
to be casting some spells.
Speaker 3 (02:26:29):
Monty will check out.
He's going to very spitefully, due to all the damage he's taken
, stab Matchless again with hisspear and then start rummaging
his body looking for anything.
Speaker 2 (02:26:43):
All right, as you
rummage his hold up one second,
as you rummage his body, youfind a broken potion of greater
healing.
You find a greater healingpotion and, uh, a scroll of
fireball.
What is a broken, greaterhealing potion you stab through,
(02:27:06):
the potion of healing.
Speaker 3 (02:27:08):
Oh, kind of like lick
my spear afterwards and still
get it.
No.
Speaker 6 (02:27:13):
Can you pour potions
on wounds.
Speaker 3 (02:27:17):
So in other words, I
find one, a scroll and one
greater potion of healingCorrect.
Speaker 5 (02:27:25):
Huh, there is a
scroll of lightning bolt.
Speaker 2 (02:27:29):
There's not.
Speaker 3 (02:27:30):
I think Monty will
probably just chug that greater
potion of healing.
What do I restore from that one?
You get 4d4.
Speaker 6 (02:27:41):
Wow, 44.
That's a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:27:43):
That's 44.
Are you getting 14?
Nope, okay, monty heals for 14.
Speaker 2 (02:27:50):
Okay, what is Sam
doing?
Speaker 4 (02:27:54):
So first she's
looking around making sure
there's nothing else so there'sstill like lightning kind of
sparking and arcing off of hershoulders and arms and then,
what she realizes, the battlesover.
She kind of takes a few deepbreaths, she wipes the, wipes
the blood of her shovel off onher legs, like her bare legs,
and then recreates it.
You got to keep your weaponsclean, right, yep?
And then she'll, she'll moseyover to Judea and take, you know
(02:28:18):
, take a look at her and seewhat's left over there.
Speaker 1 (02:28:22):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:28:23):
There are two scrolls
of Misty Step on her and 19
gold pieces.
Speaker 3 (02:28:28):
So essentially, a
scroll just allows you to cast a
spell once, right.
Speaker 2 (02:28:32):
Correct as an action.
Nines, you feel a compulsion inyour head to go and pick up the
blue crystal.
You don't have to roll for it,you don't have to go do it, but
there is something urging you togo pick up the blue crystal.
Speaker 6 (02:28:54):
Completely character
choice.
Yeah, nines gets these sorts offeelings all the time.
Okay, like the fire looks realpretty, nobody would miss that
necklace.
You know normal sorts ofimpulses, of course.
And so, yeah, nines isabsolutely going to go pick up
(02:29:15):
the crystal, okay, His innervoice has never steered him
wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:29:23):
Perfect.
So, nines, you hear a woman'svoice and as you pick up the
crystal, there's a slight glowto it and you hear a woman's
voice coming from it and it saysthe first component is the
power of words.
Speak me into being Ioun Ioun.
Nothing happens when you sayIoun Ah.
Speaker 6 (02:29:44):
Me into being.
Speaker 5 (02:29:46):
That is what I
thought he was going to say.
Speaker 6 (02:29:49):
What did you say?
Oh, it said speak me into being, and so Nine said me into being
.
That's what he speaks.
Speaker 2 (02:29:58):
Yeah, the crystal
sounds a little exaggerated and
you hear another female voice orexasperated thank you and says,
no, like my name, say my name,oh, uh.
Speaker 3 (02:30:12):
Say my name.
Say my name Nines is likeracking his brain.
Speaker 6 (02:30:19):
I'm so sorry, I've
already forgotten.
I'm Nines and you are.
Speaker 2 (02:30:26):
I can't tell you.
That's part of this.
You only have to say my namehang on.
Speaker 6 (02:30:34):
He's gonna start
thinking about women's names
that he knows and has heardrecently and we just talked
about and we just talked aboutand he is like Sam Poop, there
was Poop something, there was a,there was a druid, there was
(02:30:54):
the nice lady who I think wantedto touch my pee pee.
Speaker 2 (02:30:59):
Those aren't names,
you're just ascribing people.
You just have to say my pee pee.
Those aren't names, you're justascribing people.
You just have to say my name.
That's all I need.
Speaker 6 (02:31:05):
Snapping.
He is really trying to.
Oh, he's really getting closeto this.
He's like hey guys, guys, who'sthe Sorry, the winged?
They're lizards.
Oh man, that's so funny.
I forgot the name of Dragon.
(02:31:25):
Yes, thank you.
That's so weird.
You ever just like You'retrying to think of something and
then you forget what you'rethinking of, and then it's like
ugh, you know.
Speaker 5 (02:31:38):
So Glenn is looking
at nines.
Speaker 2 (02:31:42):
Yeah, you're looking
at nines holding the crystal.
Speaker 1 (02:31:45):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (02:31:46):
Why would you?
Speaker 6 (02:31:50):
You know what?
Never mind, it was dragon.
That was the word I wasthinking of.
Thank you All right where tonext.
Speaker 5 (02:31:59):
So did we find
anything of mistras in this
temple?
Speaker 6 (02:32:05):
nope, I don't think
so.
Speaker 2 (02:32:08):
I mean, I got this
crystal that's talking to me,
but nothing of mistras as soonasines says the word Mystra,
nines, your vision cracks andyou can tell that your vision is
from the past.
You see ornate floating citieson islands in the sky and
(02:32:32):
unparalleled, arcane minds fromwizards.
A vast empire unfolds beforeyou.
Magic is there's, unfetteredmagic, no longer funneled
through normal mortal hands in away they can control.
Mages are burning alive intheir own spells, in their own
flames.
As they cast it, blue fireconsumes entire islands, others
(02:32:55):
fall, others fall into wildmagic.
Landscapes are twisting and theland before you falls.
The island falls in a cataclysmof floating cities that are
impacting the earth below wearyvoice.
(02:33:17):
History repeats Greed consumes.
History always repeats I amMystra and I need you, or we
fall again.
And so, nines, I need you toroll me a d6.
Speaker 6 (02:33:33):
Nines is like another
epic quest Simple d6.
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (02:33:44):
Declined.
Speaker 6 (02:33:47):
Oh, no thanks, I'm
already on a quest, so I rolled
a 6 on my d6.
Speaker 2 (02:33:53):
Holy shit, you gain a
7th level spell slot, A wizard
7th level spell slot.
A wizard 7th level spell slotto use once per long rest.
Speaker 6 (02:34:08):
That sounds way
cooler than it actually is.
Speaker 2 (02:34:12):
I mean, 7th level is
pretty high.
That's really fucking high,especially for a monk.
Speaker 6 (02:34:16):
Yeah, oh, I
completely understand.
But you have to understand.
I've had a spell this wholetime.
See, what you guys don'trealize is that I've been
sitting on a spell and I justhit things.
Speaker 3 (02:34:32):
You know it's a
simple life.
Someone's got to do it.
Speaker 6 (02:34:40):
It's honest, simple
life.
Someone's got to do it.
It's honest work, all right.
Speaker 3 (02:34:45):
For your seventh
level spell you should take like
Cure Wounds or something.
Speaker 2 (02:34:49):
I'll take a look.
Speaker 6 (02:34:50):
Is there any sort of
Mystra-related seventh level,
things that might be pertinentor just any sort of wizard, 7th
level.
Speaker 2 (02:35:01):
Any wizard level 7th
spell.
Alright, I'll take a look atthat.
Does he have to pick it?
Speaker 5 (02:35:05):
now, or can he pick
it on the?
Speaker 2 (02:35:07):
No, he has to pick it
now.
He has to pick it now and addit to his so, before our next
session.
Speaker 4 (02:35:13):
It's unchanging.
Speaker 6 (02:35:14):
Okay, thank you.
Before our next session and no,he cannot change it.
Quick name a 7th level D&Dspell.
Speaker 1 (02:35:21):
Fireball.
Okay, you're right.
Speaker 6 (02:35:28):
The bar was too low.
That one's on me.
Speaker 2 (02:35:31):
I mean you can choose
Fireball and just cast it at
the 7th level.
Speaker 6 (02:35:35):
No, this is going to
have to be perfect.
You've given me homework, thankyou.
Speaker 2 (02:35:45):
So, with that, that's
where we're going to end it for
the night.
Speaker 6 (02:35:47):
I'm just kidding.
I'm just going to ask Chad GBT.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:35:49):
