Unleashing the Power of Authorship: A Journey of Empowerment and Community

This joint episode from the "I Was Born To Do This" podcast (hosted by Keira Brinton) and "A Is For Adversity (hosted by Jen Banks) was recorded shortly after an intensive authoring retreat in Mill Valley, California. The episode features a vibrant discussion with three guests: Trisha Biesinger, Jennifer Banks, and Brooke Anderson, who have just completed writing their books during a five-day group author adventure. The conversation explores the transformative experience of writing in a community, the profound connection with divine inspiration, individual growth through writing, rebranding personal and professional identities, and the supportive environment that fosters creativity and flow. Each author shares insights into their books and the unique messages they aim to convey, deeply rooted in personal life stories and professional expertise. The script emphasizes the importance of authentic community, the challenges and breakthroughs of the writing process, and the broader implications of their work for empowering others, especially women, to find their own voice and message.

So.
Why don't you begin?
Okay.

2 (02:13):
I'm Trisha Biesinger.
I have three little kids, eight, four, and two years old.
So I'm a mom most of the time.
I'm also a life coach.
I coach athletes.

I coach men as well, but mostly women.
And I love working as a coach.
I see people's lives change and transform.

(02:35):
Every day through coaching and my lifehas also changed through coaching.
So it is my favorite thingIt's the work that I will for
sure do the rest of my life.
I'm a soon to be author I

1 (02:52):
think that's a good start.
Yes, and she's full of life.
Yes.
I love that.
All right, why don't you

Jen Banks (02:57):
share?
Yes, I am Jennifer Banks.
I am the host of a podcast, A is forAdversity, but I am rebranding this year
to Let Yourself Bloom and I live in Utah.
I love the great indoors.
I'm a huge collector of quotes andall things wisdom and I love jokes,

(03:18):
funny things, and I love to bake.
I love that.
I love, I love that.

1 (03:24):
And she also takes care of all of us.

Jen Banks (03:27):
She has taken care of us all week.
Thank

1 (03:28):
you, thank you.

Jen Banks (03:30):
Also, I do have three kids but I heard to include
that at the end of your bio.
Since it's not

4 (03:36):
my only identifier.
Which is like, reallygoes along with your book.
It does.
Perfect.
That's
great to know, Jen.
Thank you.
I'll use that bit.
Why don't you introduce yourself?
I am Brooke Anderson.
I am Brooke Anderson.
Not leading with I'm a mother.

(03:57):
It's hard to do words.
It's tricky.
It's actually very interesting.
You can actually do whatever

Jen Banks (04:02):
you want.
It's
true.
You actually can do whatever you want.
It goes right along withmy theme in life right now.
Right?
Breaking, breaking the mold.
Yeah.
So, I'm a wife and I am in theprocess of breaking the mold of

(04:24):
who I was and creating who I am.
So, I usually lead with likeall the things I do, right?
Right?
Yeah, no more.
Oh, interesting.
No more of that.
Oh, I like this.

4 (04:39):
You're a change maker.
You're a
pattern breaker.
Here we go.
And your mother.
And, uh, oh, and I don't have a
mother.
To how many children?
Four, four, four boys,
four boys, ages
11, 10, nine, and almost seven.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How many boys do we havebetween all of them?

(05:01):
Oh my gosh.
How many you've got?
Four.
Four.
Three.
Three.
I have four.
Two.
How many is that ? Four.
Three.
Four.
A lot.
? 13.
13.
13.
You just gotta change the order.
You're doing the math.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Or

1 (05:16):
two, three.
There we go.
There we go.
13.
Wow, 13 sons.
Baker's dozen.
Wow.
And what does that say about us as women?
Powerful.
We are powerful women.
Only

Jen Banks (05:29):
powerful women can raise those.
Raise that many

1 (05:32):
points.
How do we begin?
I want to talk about How each one ofyou came from you did not know each
other before this adventure, right?
When you all you all said yesto this adventure around March.
I feel like end of February Beginningof March and then they started coming

(05:55):
to the JOA mastermind So you guysgot to know each other in weekly
zoom calls, which was helpful.
I feel but then to be in a house and weare like You know, we are in it together.
We are from 9 a.
m.
Earlier even sometimes till Imean we didn't go to bed till
midnight last night, right?
So these are long days, but there'ssomething so sacred about us setting

(06:20):
aside our time We're investing money.
We're We're putting forth ourenergy solely to receive a book
that we are to hear, not justwrite, but like to actually receive.
I would love to just hear from youguys pockets of time this week that
you will always remember or likeyour favorite parts of this week.

(06:44):
Just kind of pop inwhoever wants to share.
It's hard.
It's hard to choose, right?

2 (06:53):
Yes, I will start.
A favorite thing for me on this adventurehas been prayer, but a type of prayer
that I maybe wasn't used to praying.
In a way, it just felt so free.
It's, it felt very safe and itdidn't feel structured or that I had
to do it in like the right order.

(07:14):
I had to see all the thingsthat I was grateful for first.
Like, I could just pray to receivehelp and ideas for a book that, that
I was passionate about writing andGod would always just come through
so quickly and I learned how to hear.

(07:35):
God's message is kind of separate frommy thoughts and how the kind of the first
thing that would hit me when I would askwould always be the most poignant thing.
If I didn't circle back and questionit and be like, maybe that wasn't it.
What else do I think?
If I would just Grab that initial thoughtthat hit me and I learned that God works

(07:58):
quickly and God doesn't wait and make itconfusing when we ask to receive something
that we care about and that's been likemy favorite thing for sure and just a lot
of the, I think, synergy between thesewomen, a lot of the synergy, cheering
for each other and Not comparing andcompeting and like comparing our books

(08:22):
and our covers, but just like cheeringand celebrating each one as their own.
And that is like next levelfor women I feel like.
That's like women at their best, you know?
And that's been one of myvery, very favorite things.
And then also just laughing and playingwhen we're doing something so godly and

(08:44):
important and big and then just laughingour faces off and dancing and running
and hiking and like giggling and notreally having a set set structure has
been completely freeing to receive.
Such a book.
Mmm!

1 (09:01):
Oh!
It's so good!
Yes!
Yes, Trisha!

2 (09:06):
Yes!

1 (09:08):
Thank you.
It's just that.
It's just that.
Yeah.
I like that.
It's all about that.
I think I want to highlight that everyonethinks that writing a book has to be hard.
I hear this all the time from otherauthors who don't go through this method.
And they say, Oh, it's so hard.
It's so hard and it's so much work and Inever want to do this again and the way

(09:28):
that you just described it is how we writebooks in five days and it is not hard.
No.
It's delightful.
It is.
It's delicious.
Uh huh.
It's freeing.
You're right.
It's

2 (09:38):
wildly all of those things.
It's wildly.
And it's like why it works.
Yes.
It's like, it's the combinationof all those things that
actually like make the book.
A book that does, it's not justa book that's produced though.
It's a book that's like depth to it, hasprecision to it that maybe like is here

(10:03):
to make waves, like, like so much texture.
Yes,
yes.

Jen Banks (10:11):
And you feel like you're not sure how you're going to do that.
It feels so big, but once youbreak it down and get into it, it's
like, The thoughts and ideas come.
I had that experience because I thoughtto myself, what am I going to write?
And all of a sudden it's like,Oh crap, I have a ton to write.
Get it all here.

(10:31):
You know, it just keepscoming and flowing.
Once you're in that flow, it takesa little bit to get there and the
preparation, which I think Kira is sogood at bringing that piece in so that
we are able to receive in such a state.
But again, like Trisha was sayingtoo, it kind of has been a learning
process to figure out what are yourthoughts and what are God's thoughts?
Cause I tend to havean agenda for my life.

(10:53):
An agenda.
I like it.
So humorous.
So just separating that from God'sintention and what are the messages for
my audience separate from what I thinkit should be and what it needs to be.
Mm hmm.
Mm

1 (11:08):
hmm.

Jen Banks (11:08):
I

1 (11:09):
love that.
What, what would you say is yourfavorite memory from this week?
That is a tricky one.
Handful.
Throw a few popcorns up.
Okira choking on popcorn everyday?
Yeah, that one's
good.
That's
a good memory.
Chewing your food.
Baring your food for

Jen Banks (11:27):
two months?
Mm hmm.
And you're close.
That's been daily.
The thing that I loved themost was working with the
branding agency, Tally Creative.
It was just so neat to really feel thebook come alive and it was what I was
looking forward to almost this whole week.
I heard that we would be able to do thatand just Just seeing it come to life and,

(11:48):
uh, it just, there's no way to describeit, but it was neat how the agency really
worked with us on what was our book, whowas it for, what did we want it to convey?
They just really wanted a seamlessexperience instead of just, oh yeah,
here's your title, here you go, enjoy.
Yeah,

1 (12:05):
that's why I love Tally is because they sat 45 minutes with each author
and the first They wanted to hearwhat was in the book, what the book
was about, who was the book for.
And we do that because we want everycover to match the energy of the book.
A cover is the most importantthing because if the cover doesn't
pull someone in, you could belosing the most important reader.

(12:28):
And
so that's why we partner with Tally and their genius designers to sit and listen
What does this author want to bring?
What does this author want to share?
And then it was amazing at theend of the 45 minutes, they had
actual book covers for us and it'sjust like the best party ever.

(12:49):
And they nail it.
It's shocking.
Every time I'm like, I meanit's just the funnest part.
It's so fun.
It's
been fun to watch everyone workwithin their lanes of genius.
Yeah.
Actually.
And I've referred back to this like afew times just like, Wednesday, right on

(13:12):
schedule, I had my breakdown, Kiera warnedme, I was like, this will not happen
to me, I won't make it till Thursday.
No, no, Wednesday morning, righton schedule, I had a breakdown.
Right
on time.
Right on schedule.
And Trisha
came in the kitchen, she heldme, and Kiera's like, No, nope!
Right!

(13:34):
Brooke, you're fine.
You're fine.
You're living your book.
I knew it was coming.
Go right.
Like, I got you.
I got you.
We're gonna write.
Yep,
yep.
Get outside.
Go right.
You're fine.
Yeah, yeah.
Get through this.
Get through this and then youwon't have to keep doing this.
Yep, yep.
But on your big girl panties in.

(13:55):
Go right.
And then just like, that day was theday of like most adversity for me.
And it's the day I wrotea third of my book.
Like to this day, I stillcan't figure it out.
Like yesterday, I felt like I wrote a lot.
And it was still like 4, 000 wordsshy of what I did on Wednesday.

(14:16):
On your hardest day.
With a migraine.
With a
migraine.
With all this, like, resistance saying,Don't write this book you wrote.
How many words are they?
10, 000.
10, 000 words!
What the hell?
Like, what?
Who
does that?
Who writes?

Jen Banks (14:31):
Oh, a mother.
A mother does that.
A mother does that.
Who's been through what you've beenthrough and can speak to that and share
that with those who need to hear it.
But I
want to point out like I don'tknow any different than a a group.
Adventure, eh?
Yeah, yeah.
But, the community I've had in thisgroup, Adventure, like, I needed the

(14:53):
tough love, and I needed the tender.
You know, that kind ofsounds like my book, too.
So much opposites there.
Like, I needed that, and I needed tosee Jen, like, bloom this week, and
see her in flow, and like, she isjust like, boom, boom, boom, boom!
Like, she is hitting it!
But it's like, I could see the firstcouple days it was really slow for her and

(15:16):
we were chatting and we're like Trisha.
Trisha over there.

1 (15:21):
She's just like.
Wait, wait, let's get it on video.
What she shows us.
Yes, yes.
Do it, do it, Trisha.
Let's get it on the camera.
How do I do it, Trisha?
They love

2 (15:31):
my little reindeer typing pause.
What does it look like?
It's
so good.
It is my favorite.
And like, we're like, look at whatshe knocked out the first day.
Like, holy like, it wasn'tlike competition though.
But it was just like.
She's doing it!
And she had so much resistancebefore she got here.

(15:51):
I tried to talk myself out of it the whole way.
And once I started typing, I was like,Oh, wow, we're writing a book, I guess.

1 (15:59):
It's like, it's like when you're in the line to the rollercoaster.
You're like, no, no, no, no.
And then all of a sudden you getdistracted and you're like, I
guess we're gonna write a book.
I guess we're gonna write a book.
Here we are.
Alright, here

2 (16:09):
we go!
That's so how I felt.
Like the night, like flying in Sunday.
That's And not starting till Monday, andI was like telling everyone, I was like,
I think I'll just cheer you guys on.
I might write a child's book or a poem.
I was like, actually, I'mjust really good at it.
I'll be a coach.

(16:30):
I think I'll just like be like Yeah,I'm really good at being like Girl,
and then I wake up Monday morningwith like Fire coming out of my hands.
Like I could almost not getdownstairs eat breakfast.
I was like, oh my gosh,it's here Let's go.
I couldn't stop writing on MondayMajor flow I was I could almost not

(16:56):
stop which is a drag you away for
dinner.
Yeah look like Yeah, because youwere so zoned in it was like, oh, I
didn't realize my body needs food.

Jen Banks (17:08):
Yeah

1 (17:15):
Just get it

2 (17:16):
in the body now,

1 (17:17):
but this is actually this is why I Believe in having it like a coach
take you on this Because I tookmyself on my own adventure back in
December to write unleashed UnleashedThere will be a podcast coming
out about my book at some point.
Just wait, it's coming.
That's a

4 (17:34):
good one.

1 (17:35):
But like, I saw the purpose of having someone to guide you,
because even though I know how.
To write books in five days.
And I know how there were likemoments where I forgot to eat
and I forgot to go move my body.
And I forgot like, becauseyou just get so deep in it.
And that's like, I watch you guys.
And my role is to see like lastnight I was like, everyone's done.

(17:57):
I can
feel it across the board.
We're done.
We're going to go have pizza.
And we got out of the house and we hadpizza and they got their massages and
it's like, You must take care of the bodyif you want to stay in flow, otherwise
you burn out and then the book stops.
And so
that's really why you guys have been able to stay in flow.
Obviously, we do all this prayerand all this blessings and all these

(18:18):
works to get our bodies primed toreceive, but it's also That I watch
and I see when you need, right?
Like today, Brooke, I waslike, what do you need?
Oh, she needs food.
We fed her.
Hey, Brooke.
What do you, Brooke?
You need to go for a walk and it's likejust seeing these little tweaks that'll
keep you in flow instead of just likeMassive burnout, which would happen,

Jen Banks (18:39):
right?
Yeah,

1 (18:40):
yeah, yeah.

Jen Banks (18:40):
We lovingly call Kira, mama Kira, because she walked into my room
and I was in flow and so she was like,Oh, but can I get you some water?
Can I get you some crackers?
Yeah.
That just being cared for, being nurturedas we're doing this is so important.
Yeah, next level.

2 (18:55):
And she always makes sure we have chocolate on hand.
I just bring chocolate.
Leave it on the bed.
How did you know?
There's a chocolate bar for you.
I'm gonna go out.
I sleep in the other room.
I just sensed it.
I had a vision.
We need chocolate.
I was like, literally like, God,if Keira could show up around
the corner with chocolate rightabout now, that'd be really good.

(19:18):
And like within five minutes,
she
was delivering chocolate to
me.
A whole bar!
Oh my gosh.
A whole bar of the mostdelicious chocolate.
And I was like,

1 (19:27):
ooh!
We should run a commercial on maybe those.

Jen Banks (19:31):
And then we also brought one of the JOA editors.
So that's been a huge way tooutsource some of the things
that deplete your energy.
So that you can have moreto To give to channel.

1 (19:42):
Yes, I'm so happy.
We brought Mindy.
Mindy is our JOA editor.
We have a handful of editors, but Mindy has worked with us
the longest and she understands.
Here's what I love about Mindyis that she knows how to work
with my really intense energy.
And I've sent her many of mybooks and I said, Hey, I'd like
to have this edited in two weeks.
And she's like, And she does shefigures out how to work with me and

(20:06):
I'm so grateful So we brought her onthis adventure so that I could stay in
channeling all day with these ladiesWhich is where my gifts live and then
she's in the back and right now She'son the porch going through their
manuscripts and she's taking all thechaos that we bring through and she starts
putting it into the format of the bookWhich is just totally collapsing time.

(20:28):
And we're all in our lanes.
This is her lane and this is mylane and you guys are the authors.
And so it's just been aphenomenal teamwork session.
As Brooke would say, it's delightsome.
Delightsome.

Jen Banks (20:42):
You
noticed that.
I noticed that.
I do that.
I say that.
I say delightsome.
That's a good word.
That's a thing.

2 (20:49):
And we all write differently.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like just ourdifferent personalities kind
of match our writing style.
Like I'm noticing that.
Like some of us write in like 12point font, some in 10, some long
paragraphs, and some in order, and thenthere's me, so I don't do any of that.
I don't do any of that.

(21:09):
So for those of you that think you have towrite in a certain way, let me be the one.
Yeah, let me tell you.
Let, let Trisha be yourguide to chaos is welcome.
And my brain is verylike, I like big font.
I like a lot of spaces.
A lot of things arelike their own sentence.

(21:30):
It's how my, I'm watching how my braincreates, and how it is allowed to do it
whatever way looks visually easy for me.
Visually?
Yup.
And just how I type, how Isee it, how it makes sense.
And, and I will type on a topic forlike, I don't know, 15 20 minutes,
and I'll jump right into it.

(21:50):
Over to another one, then I'll jumpback to the front, then I'll go to
the, then I'll write the last chapter, and then I'll go back to the middle.
And Mindy comes in, like a super woman, and just is like, oh, I got all this,
and she just organizes it, zips it allup, makes it pretty, and I'm like, oh,
oh geez.
It lets us stay in our lanes, which is kind of where it's pretty,

(22:11):
like, like, When I get stuck, Kirashows up with chocolate and goes,
we're going to do some yoga andwe're going to like move our body.
And then it's like, Oh, wow.
Or if we're hearing the same word again.
Fascinating.
And it's like, and then I sitdown with Mindy and Mindy and

(22:32):
I are like, okay, let's takethis and organize it into order.
And I'm like, I think itshould go above this chapter.
And she goes, that's so funny.
I was about to say, I thinkit belongs under this chapter.
And I was like, Hey, that's the same hole.
Like It's so Herlain.
It is like so Hermagic and it justtakes away the pressure of us like

(22:52):
needing to format and organizeand it just leaves us in flow.
Yeah,

1 (22:56):
because when you do that, like when you have a set structure and you format, it
has to be this and it has to be this, thenanytime you get new ideas, if it doesn't
fit in that, Then you ignore the idea, which actually creates writer's block.
So how we do five days, honestly, thereason why we write so quickly is because
we do not ever hit writer's block.

(23:18):
So whenever, like today, I felt like youhit a little bit of a writer's block.
And I was like, Hey, now we need tochannel in what's the next topic.
And as soon as we asked that, what's thenext thing that needs to come through?
You heard it.
And then it.
It opened up the channels again.
So the goal is, is to just receive, and then it's usually receiving chaos.
And then we're able to have Mindytake all the chaos and say, how

(23:40):
do we then put this into flow?
And what that allows is for youguys to just always be receiving,

2 (23:48):
right?

1 (23:49):
And that's why the books written here, there's, there's
not a flat book in this room.
There's not a book that's justlike, well, that was kind of good.
Right?
Like, like these, all these books willcome in and they are going to move things
and they're going to shift things andthey're going to change people's lives.
Literally, but it is simply because mydeepest belief is that we don't have

(24:14):
humans that go to the top of a mountainand Ask God what needs to be written
and when you do that You will receiveBecause there are very few who are
willing to ask and those who are willingto ask will receive and these women have
brought through Books that I think aregoing to change so many people's lives
and they have Sentences and ideas andquotes and phrases that have never been

(24:38):
brought To the earth before it like inthe way that they're bringing it here.
So I just like first want toreally commend all of you for
Taking the time Taking five days.
It's really really it's sevenbecause travel day sunday.
We travel days saturday, right?
So we're gone seven days from your familyfive days of riding like 12 to 14 hour

(25:02):
days To receive a book that you know youare here to be the steward of the message.
Right?
Just see it.
I just see it.
Also, I can't believe we didn'tmention the magical place we wrote at.
How have we not talked about this?
It

Jen Banks (25:19):
was

1 (25:19):
like 7 years ago.
It was 7 years ago on Tuesday.
Oh yeah, that was 7 years

Jen Banks (25:24):
ago.
We live in a forest too.
We live in a forest.

1 (25:28):
In this magical home,

2 (25:30):
that

1 (25:31):
has nooks and crannies and gardens and wisteria and garden
gates and garden bridges.

Jen Banks (25:38):
Beautiful showers and beds.
It's the whole thing.

2 (25:42):
Ah, the beds, the beds.
Oh my gosh, Bessie.
I can't decide if
it's the beds or the writing
that's causing us to sleep so well.
We sleep real good here.
We just died and come back to life.
But like,
On

1 (25:57):
Tuesday.
We
went
to the Muir Woods.
We did.
The wisdom of the trees.

Jen Banks (26:04):
Talk

4 (26:04):
about the Muir Woods.
People

Jen Banks (26:06):
don't do that either.
There were so many people thatwere kind of surprised to see
us there with our laptops.
You know, just using nature as our office.
That was where I hit the best flow.
You did.
That was really cool.
Jen was on fire.
Oh, Jen was a new Jen.
Brooke told me, I walked by three times.
Didn't you see me?
No.
I was like, me neither.
I'm like, hi.

(26:28):
Jen, Jen.

1 (26:28):
No, Jen, Jen was definitely
in flow.
She
was in this like, cuckoo.
She was in a vortex.
Yes, 100%.
And in like the most uncomfortablesituation, you're like sitting on
a You're like on a cement curb.
I'm like, that cannot be comfy.
She's like, three hourson the cement curb.

(26:48):
I mean, she
did start

2 (26:50):
on
a bench.
She was sitting next to the bench and she ended up like on the curb.
Literally for like two minutes.
Isn't that crazy?
She was
in it to win.
And

1 (27:02):
just the, the, what I find about writing in the Muirwoods, because this
is my second time bringing an author tothe Muirwoods, yeah, is that the, the
sacredness, these trees, some of thesetrees have been dated back to 909 AD.
80.
That means like they'rethousands of years old.
What they have seen, they'vegone through, you can see all the
trees have been licked by fire.

(27:24):
Yeah.
And it's
just like this, but they're like still alive and they're 300 feet tall.
They're 30 feet wide.
There's just this like resiliencyin these trees that when
we're there, we soak it in.
It comes through our books and it'sjust one of the most sacred places.

Jen Banks (27:40):
Kira had us take it one step further and we all touched the trees
to gather their wisdom and I bet allof us could Remember what they said.
Yeah, it was just so cool.
I think we should share Solet me let me start out.

1 (27:52):
I have this amazing shaman.
Her name is Ia and When I went to herland in 2020 Something I'm not sure when
2021 maybe And she taught me the practiceof placing my hands on the old trees in
her land and asking for a message Andit doesn't feel like like a practice to

(28:14):
do like at the park because like thosetrees don't have the same energy You know,
like they're just like a little fresh orsomething But I thought when we were in
the Redwoods like Let's ask these trees.
Trees who have been throughforest fires and still lived.
These trees who have been throughearthquakes and still live.
Trees that have fallen over andsomehow grew between two other trees.

(28:35):
And are still alive!
Like, how are they, what can they teach us?
So I have them all.
Ask which tree is mine and theywalked until they felt drawn to a
tree and then they placed their headon by themselves And they received a
message you all remember your messages.
Yeah, let's hear it.
Yeah, what did the trees have to say?

2 (28:53):
I'll go first.
So my book is a lot.
On motherhood.
I talk a lot about the pain of bringingforth just one life pregnancy was
The hardest thing I've ever done.
I threw up so much then, you know, stretch marks and scars and all of the
things that we go through to create life.

(29:13):
And.
So that was on my mind, and I, I walkedby and saw this big tree with this
trunk that had scars, and it was uneven.
It had some bumps.
It had some lumps, and Iwas like, oh, hey tree.
I feel, I feel you sister.
You and me.
We know each other.

(29:33):
Hey lady.
So, I went up to her, and I justsaid, I just put my hands on this
tree and I'm not even joking you, Iheard your scars are your beauty for
they signify life, pain, and triumph.
And what she had been through, you couldsee it, and it was like, you know, it was

(29:56):
like The honor that you have for like firemarks and scars and growth and I was like,
oh Here we are thinking that we need tolook 12 forever But but the beauty of this
tree It's like when you saw the pain shehad lived through and grew through you
I was like I could resonate with that Imean, that's just that's one tree people

1 (30:23):
We could write a book called The Wisdom of the Tree.
Oh my gosh.
It would

Jen Banks (30:28):
be a

1 (30:28):
Next time.
Next time.
I don't care what

Jen Banks (30:31):
your tree

1 (30:32):
thinks.
Let's look it up.
I can't remember these things.
There's just so many thingsthat come through, right?
I love the one liner at the end of yours.
Yeah, me too, me too, me too.
It's coming, it's coming.
I remember yours.
Okay, so I put my hand on the tree and I started to worry about
an ant crawling on it becausethere's just so many And I was just

4 (30:51):
paranoid.

1 (30:52):
And so the message was, Stop worrying if the ant is going to crawl on your hand.
If it does, you'll deal with it.
Stop worrying about thingsthat haven't happened.
If they do, you will deal with them.
As a problem arises, youalways find the solution.
Always.
Trust.
I never worried abouthow tall I would get.
I just grew.

(31:13):
Oh!
It's so good!
It's so good!
Oh, the trees!
I mean, and like, thesemessages came within seconds of
putting our hands on the trees.
It wasn't like, we're sitting there foran hour like, maybe these are the words.
It's like, whoop, whoop!
So what did you hear, Jen?

Jen Banks (31:32):
Yes, so I was drawn to the trees that had fallen.
There were many that had fallenover and were still growing.
They had branches growing verticaleven though the trunk was horizontal.
And so this one particular tree,it looked just like a log pretty
much, and it had moss and flowersand other things growing on it.
And the words that came to me were, roots aren't the only source of strength.

1 (31:56):
Oh, wait, wait.
Can you say it one more time?
Wait,

Jen Banks (31:59):
repeat roots aren't the only source of strength.
Oh, we marinate.
How would you

2 (32:05):
ever think of that on your own?
You couldn't.

Jen Banks (32:07):
You just couldn't.
Couldn.
What

2 (32:10):
the hell?
Seriously?
And you thought you werejust coming to write

4 (32:15):
a book.
You just thought that'swhat you were coming to

1 (32:18):
do.

4 (32:18):
All this

1 (32:20):
wisdom.
All

4 (32:21):
this

1 (32:21):
wisdom.
Okay, tell us.

4 (32:23):
Tell us, Brooke.
What did a tree have to say to you?
My tree I said to it, like, you know Tree.
I've seen so much.
Fancy, like, wow.
I can't imagine how youhaven't you've seen.

(32:43):
And I said, I haven't seen it.
I've experienced it.
I felt it.
It is been like, it is part of me.
And it's like, so many thingshave tried to take me down.
Fires, parasites, things that cling to me.
Things that.

(33:03):
Burrowing me for their home.
And it's like I grow within theconfines of this like against gravity.
I grow in compression of thesethings and this is what allows me
to be This tall tree you look up to.

(33:26):
Mmmmm.
Oh my gosh.
We gotta write this book.
We have like four hours tomorrow.

1 (33:37):
Hit up, every tree you guys think.
We're not done yet.
Like, ready?
How many trees can you hit?
Put your hand on it, write the message, and we'll compile it, we'll put the trees.
The message of the trees.
You'll be two time authors in one week.
Yes!
I'm literally like, thisis what we should do.

(33:57):
I feel like this is what we should do.
I feel like this is a
joke.
I know.
It's already happening.
Kind of like last night when I satthem all at dinner, I said, tomorrow
you all need to write 10, 000 words,We're also going to record a podcast.
I'm also going to takesome photos of you guys.

2 (34:13):
And after that we might do like a dance class.
And we might take a dance class!

1 (34:18):
That's right!
What's crazy though, isthat it all will get done.
Yeah, it will.
Because we hold the intention of such.
And intention is, it's thebarometer, Of miracles.
But I really just see this.

(34:48):
I see that.
You know why we jokethose seven years ago?
Well, every day feels like a year becausewe hold the space in such sacredness.
That it's not a day.
It's just not a day.
And what we accomplish inone day is not possible.
It's just not.

2 (35:07):
Like, who do you know that's like, yeah, I wrote this book.
My book in five days.
like this isn't somethingyou hear anyone say, right?
They say, oh yeah, thisyear, like years or a year.
It took me like threeyears to write a book.
Like, oh, I'll do thatin less than a week.
Fine.
, I met someone that took 15 years.

1 (35:24):
And the suffering.
Suffering the suffering.
There's so much suffering.
When we take a long time for thesebooks, keep our message repressed.
Oh, that's
it.
You keep it repressed, youpush it down, you suppress it.
Mm-hmm, . And here there's no suppression.

Jen Banks (35:39):
No

1 (35:39):
one, no one has to go.
No one has to be like, oh, I gottago pick this kid up from school.
Oh, I gotta go load this laundry.
Like there's no stop between flow, whichmeans that flow state rules our days.
And so much gets
done.
So what I really want is I want eachone of these women to power punch
tell you what the title of theirbook is and what their book is about.

(36:03):
So just breathe that in, ladies.
Bring that power all the way up.
Just like we practiced.
Who feels the hottest?
Who wants to go first?
I will go.
Let's go.
I thought you were, like, snapping.
I thought
it was Kira.
Okay, hold on.
We gotta hold this space for her becauseshe's got a powerful message coming in.

(36:27):
Hmm.

Jen Banks (36:29):
My name is Jennifer Banks and I just wrote the book, Let Yourself Bloom.
It is a book for mothers, not justany mothers, but mothers who are
hiding, who are using motherhood asa crutch and as a way to stay small.
Many see motherhood as the peak oftheir growth, but it is just the
base for many, many ways to grow.

(36:51):
And not just within motherhood.
But alongside their identity, theirsoul, the person who they're becoming,
this book will wake that up insideof you, the part that may be dormant
and it will cause you to grow andbloom into who you were meant to be.

1 (37:14):
What is happening?
What is happening?
What is happening?

Jen Banks (37:21):
How did that feel to say that?
So good, and a few of you havealluded to when I came on Monday, I
really was a turtle within my shell.
I was just very timid, very shy, and Idid not know That I was capable of doing
this and it's only capable, I was onlycapable because of this community, because
of God, because of the circumstances, thefoundation that we laid and just seeing

(37:42):
that difference, that shift is huge.
It just is so empowering and What I lovemost about these ladies is they still
cheer just as loud on Monday for me.
I, you know, you could not tellany difference in their support,
but they, they, they ralliedaround me and watched me grow.
Oh, I'm so proud of you.
Oh my gosh.
All right.
Who's

4 (38:02):
next?
I will.
All right.
I'm Brooke Anderson and I just wroteIn Five Days Through Fire and Grace.
It's a book to reach those who feelthey are unreachable, who think they

(38:23):
are alone and that no one else hasexperienced the depths of their despair.
I am here to tell you I have.
And it's because I have that I canprovide a roadmap, guidelines, to break
the chains, to change your script.

(38:44):
To challenge your beliefs and tolearn how to live and dream again.
No!
What is happening?
Fire.
Everywhere.
That feels right.
How did that feel?
Like Yeah, yeah, that's right.

(39:06):
So damn good!
You gotta know what you're talking about.
Like I, it's a knowing now, yeah?
I joke that Monday night, on themountaintop, like an author was born.
But it was like, shewas just like, awakened.
And this week, I've become a lioness.
And it's just like this, like, knowing in me now.

(39:29):
I don't know what was in themagic of the dancing last night.

Jen Banks (39:34):
I don't know what it was.
Hot

1 (39:37):
damn!
All the secrets that work.
They're all in my bag, okay?
I know when to pull them out.
And I felt it.
Like really last night when you, we,we, we just brought this through.

(39:57):
When you spoke this, itwas like the earth moved.
And I'm like, yeah, you landed, you landed so damn good.
I
felt that last night too, likedrastically and just the, the
movement and the dancing before wepractice saying it was just like, wow.

(40:17):
You're meant to take up space.
Yeah.
No going back.
You're meant to hold this space.
You're meant to demand the room.
Yeah.

Jen Banks (40:28):
This is the way to describe books.

1 (40:31):
Yes.
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
Thank you.
So proud of you.
So good.
You are the final.
Why don't we take a nice

4 (40:43):
breath in for you?
Alright, my

2 (40:44):
friends.
Grounded in, friend.
Okay, so, I'm Trisha B.
Singer.
My book is called WhoDo You Think You Are.
It liberates women from not enoughness.
And this book, this book shows womenvery clearly how they are like God.

(41:12):
How God is not just a father, not just a man in the sky.
We do have a father God, I believe.
And we also have a mother God.
And we need to know she exists.
Because we are like her as women.
And we are mothers like she is a mother.

(41:32):
And, women need to know this so theycan stop thinking they're not enough
of anything, anything anymore, becausethey are like a God in the making.
And as a woman goes through the deepestsacrifice to bring forth children,
pain and suffering and sacrifice, that is a love that only God knows.

(41:57):
That is a love that cannot be earned, It'sa love that doesn't need to be earned.
Just like a newborn baby.
When a baby is born, we donever think they're not enough.
And they didn't earn any of our love.
All of my babies caused meonly pain until they were born,

(42:21):
and I loved them instantly.
And a love that only a mother knows.
It feels the room that makesyou want to do it again.
That is the most Godlike love.
And that is women.
That is mothers.
That is creation.
And we need to stop trying to earnmen's love and trying to be enough for

(42:43):
men and trying to look a certain way.
Like you are it, my friends, you are it.
And this whole entire world.
Came about through women.
Aaaaahhh!
That
is amazing.
How good does

(43:03):
that feel?
That's just easy, now.
So easy, now.
That's just what it is, you know.
It's just what it is, people.

Jen Banks (43:11):
How does it feel for you, Kira, it feel for you?

1 (43:17):
Ugghhh.
It makes me cry.
Because I show up to these and I'mlike, God, you better show up because
you know, I can't pull this shit off.
Like, I can't.
Like, my human self cannot pulloff 35, 000 words an author.
Like, we're going to get you guysthere before you leave tomorrow.

(43:40):
In five days.
That's a lot of words.
This is impossible.
Us and so this every single time islike me walking up to the red seam
and like God you better part it Yeah, and that is the place of miracles.
Hmm, and this is a miracle and every timeit's a miracle And every time I like go
to God and I say like, thank you like, thank you for Thank you for doing this.

(44:06):
Thank you for writing these wordswith these authors and I always
hear like, thank you to us Thankyou to the authors for saying,
I'm willing to receive a message.
I'm willing to go givenew messages to the world.
Like there is gratitude on both sides.
And so this is my favorite thing to do.

(44:28):
It is, I feel like what Icame to this earth to do.
And I'm so honored that you guys said yes.
So you all came
together.
This has been an extraordinary week.
One I will never forget.
And friends for life, right?
That's how it goes, just friends for life.
Create this bond, sorry.
You come on an adventure, BFF for life.

(44:50):
That's how it goes.
You can't be in this and never, you know, and leave different.
It's a sacred week.
And what I hope is that each oneof you Takes what you learned here
and you implement this foreverand all the work you do, right?
Like this is not just to write booksThis is the work of creation with the

(45:13):
divine every single day on every singlething we do and this is what collapses
time And this is what creates miraclesAnd one thing I know is that every
single one of you are here to build likeempires of work work that is going to
ripple to the millions because You Yousacrificed the time to receive this.

(45:36):
And you're gonna go forward, you're gonnapush it out into the world because you are
the leader to take this message forward.
And so I just, oh my gosh,I'm so grateful for you guys.
Always, like, so grateful to God forthe miracles that abound in these weeks.
Truly, everything is a miracle here.
Everything down to the food that we find.

(45:57):
I mean, and nothing's planned.
I don't plan a damn thing.
Everything's will of fortune.
Everything's like, God, where do we eat?
Cool, cool.
All right.
Hey, where do we go?
Cool, cool.
Like everything is like guided and thatallows us to feel held in the palms.
Like it's like everything is held.
Everything is orchestrated.

(46:17):
We always go exactly where we need to go.
It's just an extraordinary experience.
So, everyone who's watching, their books, they have to be done,
complete, within six weeks from today.
Now, they will leave withtheir books done, but we give
six weeks to make it honey.
Like, to richen it, to deepen it,and then it goes through editing.
So, all of their books willbe out within six weeks.

(46:38):
Soon.
Okay.
So you're going to stay tuned, listenfor when their podcasts are live.
Listen, follow our JOA.
You'll see when their books hit the world.
They all live in Utah.
So we're going to do a wild, like backto back to back book launch parties.
If you live in Utah, you should come.
Yes, please come.
A really good time.
And as always, if you have this callin your soul and this spurs something

(47:04):
inside of you and you want to write abook, like just reach out to my team.
Publish at JOAPublishing.
com or support at JOAPublishing.
com.
Let them know because there are veryfew who are willing to listen and
those who are willing, we need you.
The message I got this morningin my prayers was that one grain
of sand does not create a beach.

(47:27):
It requires millions and billionsof grains of sand to create new
earth for people to stand on.
So we cannot change theworld with four voices.
We need more.
We need more who are willingto write these messages.
To lead in this way, that's howwe create new ground, stable
ground for others to walk on.

(47:47):
And I just, I feel that andI'm just like so grateful.
I love like, as we close this up,I have no idea what our hours, I
don't even know where we're at.
Three hours, 45 minutes.
Who knows?
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
It's fine.
We'll figure it out.
But I would love for you guys, I'd loveto do this at the end of my podcast.
I have my guests dropping their hearts.

(48:08):
And just listen to whatevermessage is there for you.
And I'm going to give you, I'm goingto let you all just share your final
message to our listeners today.

Jen Banks (48:16):
We've joked a little bit this week that Kira tends to
say, that feels right, but it'sreally just a great example of
connecting to your inner knowing.
And I feel like that'sbeen a theme this week.
And just something that comes back andback to my mind is that sometimes we get
so out of touch with what our intuitionis because we're looking outward.

(48:36):
We're finding approval and permissionoutside of us, but it's really inside
that our inner knowing is at and thatwe need to connect back to so that
we can say as Kira, that feels right.
I like

1 (48:51):
that.
What else do you guys have?

2 (48:55):
I have one.
Yeah.
For me, it was actually just that Godhas never worked through perfect people.
And I think that's, that's a message alot of us carry is like, God will only.
If I.
And this if then thing that welive in is like, if I do this,
then maybe God will do that.
And, and of course it'slike, it's never perfect.

(49:18):
Like, right?
When we're like, ugh.
Can't get it just right.
We're human and that is exactly howwe're supposed to be as human and that's
who God has always worked through andso Being you is it and we don't need
to change it and fix it and control it.
Just let it freakin flow My

(49:44):
message is about authentic community somuch about We see so much, especially
with the day of social media, butlike so much of social media is fake.
So much of it is.
filtered and it's so important thatyou're building authentic community,

(50:06):
that you're surrounding yourselfwith authentic community and what
that has been for us here this week.

1 (50:14):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Massive.
Yeah.
Beautiful.
All right.
Let me see.
What do I got?
What do I got?
Final message.
I
think the message is just simplyto own the power that lives

(50:35):
within you and to listen to thecalls that pull at your heart.
Because if you do that, your lifewill unfold into the most miraculous
experience you could ever imagine, and you will actually be able to
be of service to humanity in waysyou would have never seen before.
And
that we need you.

(50:55):
You are needed.
We need you in your highest light.
We need you with your deepest purpose.
We need you standing firm in the powerthat lives within you so that we can
feel that and then watch it ripple.
So with that, my friends, we love you.
Thanks for playing with us today.

(51:16):
Get ready because we got somefire books coming to you,
All right, bye guys.
