Today we sit down with our first female entrepreneur on the podcast, Jen Sakowski. Jen runs a digital marketing business that focuses on organic reach and creating a presence that converts.
We have a conversation about how some businesses focus so much on the metrics of their website traffic, that they lose the authentic voice of speaking with their customers. Jen makes a compelling case that playing the long game in business comes with identifying your audience and speaking to them directly. Videos, blog posts, and websites in general should strike a balance of informing search engines and speaking to the audience they're trying to help.
We also take a deep dive with Jen into our own website to see how we score. We do some things right, but as you'll see, we do a lot of things wrong.
After talking tactics about digital presence we start to move into the pressures that female entrepreneurs feel - appropriately balancing motherhood and business. We talk about the importance of putting your metaphorical oxygen mask on first before putting on anyone else's.
