Sacral Chakra
In the world we live in those words are not embraced or encouraged. There are “proper” polite ways we talk about things:
· Pet names for our private parts.
· Pleasure and Passion lead to wild, out of control.
· Desire is too much for a lot of people.
· We suppress out desires, dreams, visions of who we are
· We stay so busy there is no time for contemplation
· We are so busy we can’t even hear ourselves
Unbalanced, Disconnected, Denied, Shut Down Behaviors of the Sacral Chakra
Constant criticism, manipulation and invalidation
Blocked Chakra: Guilt/Shame, over-sensitive, being too hard on ourselves. Physically: Impotence, bladder or prostate problems, lower back pain
Men: Testes and testosterone production
Women: Uterus, Labia, Vagina, Ovaries
1. If balanced allows healthy expression of their sexual desires and emotional connection in relationships. Fluid movement and adaptability.
2. Overactive Sacral Chakra - men have the potential for excessive sexual preoccupation, addictive behaviors and emotional instability
3. Underactive expresses with difficult expressing emotions, intimacy issues, lack of creativity, low libido
Simple Practices:
· Place your hand on your lower belly. Breathe into that space. Keep breathing deeper and longer with big exhales. Let your breath clear that space, open up the sacred vessel so you can feel, plant your desires and tend to their growth.
· Wear Orange. Get comfortable with the bold, brightness of Orange.
· Eat Orange foods – Oranges, squash, mangos, carrots, apricots, pumpkin, papaya. Nourish your body.
· Dance!
· Laughing (you can fake it until it’s real). There’s even laugh QiGong, Yoga and Meditations.
· Pleasure yourself – explore with sweetness without expectation. Touch yourself as if you have never touched yourself before. Be curious and playful.
