After securing both the QLD & Australian amateur surfing titles at age 18, Dean opted for free surfing over the pro tour - a decision that allowed him to literally live the dream surfing the best breaks in the world with some of the best surfers on the planet.Â
We chat about what it took to succeed, and how the reality compares to public opinion. Dean explains where he found his inspiration and drive (and I tell you there are some BIG names here) and his favourite big wave trip of all time.
