Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a world gone
mad.
This is a world gone mad, mad, mad, mad, mad.
It's another day in a worldgone mad.
I'm Jeff Allen Wolfe and I'mback again to give my commentary
on the news, and I thank youfor joining me.
Disruptions of the norm, aggressive tactics, bigotry,
(00:25):
hate and executive orders thatgo against common sense.
A different day, but the samegarbage from the Trump
administration.
How we got here, we know Over70 million voted for Donald to
be in charge again, voted forDonald to be in charge again.
(00:47):
Understanding why these peoplethought this was a good idea
still baffles me, as I'm sure itdoes you, but we are here and
we all have to find some way todeal with it.
Some of you have said to methat you're getting your
passport and you're moving outof the country.
Some of you said all of thesechanges are too much for you and
you just don't want to dealwith it.
Yet you post daily on socialmedia and scream against what's
(01:13):
going on and post your thoughtson multiple websites.
Please indulge me for a minuteor two.
I don't know what the majorityof you feel about what's going
on, because the majority of youwho listen don't contact me.
It's not a slam against you.
It's a fact.
(01:33):
I've asked for your emails,I've asked for texts, I've asked
for your phone calls and 97% ofyou don't respond.
So I can't speak to what therest of you are doing, because I
just don't know.
I wish I did.
I'd like to understand better, pass along to the few people
that do reply to this podcastand everyone else, so we all can
(01:57):
understand what everyone'sfeeling.
So I'll keep asking you eachepisode to please contact me
with email, text or phonemessage, hoping that some more
of you will listen to my requestand follow through, but the
majority of you, the loyallisteners who don't engage.
I can't improve my podcast ormake changes for the better if I
(02:23):
don't hear from you, with yourthoughts and your input.
I'm pissing in the wind andtrying to hit a target without
guidance.
Please help me With.
That being said, let's go overwhat's happening in our country
and the world.
Now it seems we are down towatching on a daily basis what
(02:45):
the courts decide about DonaldTrump and all his actions.
First, the court decides thatDonald's tariffs all need to be
paused indefinitely Yay, I saythat sarcastically.
Then, 24 hours later, anothercourt blocks that ruling, saying
it's on hold and Trump could goahead with his tariffs.
(03:06):
Our country's survival is atthe whim of the courts decisions
.
There's no logic anymore andhow the courts operate, other
than each side makes a rulingand then the other side shoots
that ruling down.
I'm sick of it to the point ofalmost being physically sick.
We need to see some morenormalcy.
(03:29):
When I say normalcy, I meanthere needs to be a standard
that we rise to, a quality oflife in this country that needs
to be achieved.
If we don't reach it, and fast, then this country will implode,
and I mean much faster than weare already imploding.
It's time we need a calmingdown in this country.
(03:52):
We need a calming down withlegitimate direction on how we,
the citizens, are going to betreated fairly and in the future
.
And then we have Elon Musksaying he's stepping down, he's
done and moving on from theTrump administration.
They had a ceremony today withMusk and Trump in the White
(04:14):
House, which still disgusts methat image of the richest man
being connected to the world'smost powerful man.
Bye-bye, elon, don't let thedoor hit you on the way out.
You created so much friggingdamage with your DOGE, your
doggy bullshit.
(04:34):
Then there's ChristineNutcake-Nome who states that
habeas corpus means thatimmigrants can be deported from
our country by the president.
The camera pulls back in myrecording studio and a close-up
image showing me banging my headagainst the wall.
(04:55):
After that Noam's comment why dowe have these idiots in charge?
And then Trump's going to holda rally for Japan-based Nippon
Steel.
Trump is holding a rally inPennsylvania to celebrate a
details-to-come deal forJapan-based Nippon Steel to
(05:16):
invest in US Steel, which hesays will keep the iconic
American steelmaker under UScontrol.
Yet they're talking aboutNippon Steel being in control of
US steel.
So we don't know what the truthis.
Yet the White House denies this.
A lot of conflicting reportinghere, more turmoil, as the White
(05:40):
House acknowledges problems inRFK's juniors report.
The White House will fix errorsin a much anticipated federal
government report spearheaded byUS Health and Human Services
Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr,which decried America's food
supply, pesticides andprescription drugs.
(06:00):
And prescription drugs, rfk, mr, destructive towards the health
in our country with anotherphony slogan Make America
Healthy Again.
You know, when you hear aslogan like that from the White
House, it definitely means weall are being screwed Trump,
(06:21):
musk, vance, nome, rfk, etc.
There is not enoughdisinfectant made to purge
ourselves from this stink, tocleanse ourselves and our
country from these people, theselunatics who are so very wrong
(06:44):
for America.
Wolfpack, listener, I need tohear from you, I need to
understand what's on your mind.
I would like to know what youare doing, how you're dealing
with this destructive anddangerous time in America.
I've said this over and overagain to the point of burnout.
Hiding or looking the other wayis not the answer.
(07:06):
Would you please share with meand others what you're doing
yourself?
Are you holding or going to arally?
Are you joining local groups?
Are you getting people to gettogether to discuss all of this?
What are you doing on a dailyor weekly basis to protect
yourself and your family fromDonald?
(07:27):
Delusional ResistDonaldNow atgmailcom is the email.
833-399-9653 is the voicemailbox.
I ask everyone to please use it.
97% of you don't and I'll behonest, that's very
disappointing.
It's not me whining, it's mebeing honest.
(07:50):
I feel like I'm wasting my timewith this podcast.
I'm not looking for ego strokes.
I'm looking for feedback, tohear your thoughts, to share
with me and others who listenwhat you feel about what's
happening.
Vent, let it out, contact meand here's more madness in our
(08:14):
world.
A new scientific analysis says 4billion people about half the
world's population experience atleast one extra month of
extreme heat because ofhuman-caused climate change from
May 2024 to May 2025.
It comes as the Trumpadministration is encouraging
more energy to be made fromfossil fuels that release planet
(08:36):
warming gases, rolling backpollution regulations and
dismantling much of Biden'sclimate-related policies and
initiatives.
I get it, people.
We're getting shit from allfronts.
It's a 360 degree attack andit's overwhelming and it's hard
to deal with on a daily basis.
(08:57):
But we must take a standsomewhere.
We can't just watch thiscountry unravel.
I'm in my 60s and I've beenliving here, obviously, since I
was born, so to see this happenis disheartening.
But I'm not giving up, andneither should any of you.
I'm trying to make this podcastbetter, but lack of your
(09:21):
feedback, good or bad, isn'thelping me.
I had one person tell me theydidn't like my theme song in the
opening of the podcast.
He said it was too long.
You know, I thought about it.
I listened to that comment.
I shortened it.
I thank you, corbett.
The theme song is better nowbeing shorter.
(09:42):
Feedback like that from you thelistener, makes this podcast
better.
When I hear from you, I knowthat my emails sent to you are
getting to you, I know that mycomments and message is getting
across.
And here's one last bit ofmadness before I get to that
(10:03):
uplifting story for this episode.
Trump declared that he'll nolonger be Mr Nice Guy with China
on trade.
He said China had broken anagreement with the United States
.
It's unclear what agreementTrump was referring to in his
post on Truth Social, but thepresident's rhetoric was a sharp
(10:24):
break from the optimismexpressed recently when Trump
lowered his 145% tariffs onChinese goods to 30% for 90 days
so that talks could happen.
Trump said the tariff reductionhad quickly stabilized the
economy.
But then he says that Chinaperhaps not surprisingly to some
(10:47):
has totally violated itsagreement with us.
So much for me being Mr NiceGuy.
All of you listening to Trump'scomment about China, please
join with me and let's laugh ourasses off.
Mr Donald, the clueless, thepresident winging it again.
You want to just scream everytime he opens his mouth Hot
(11:10):
again, then cold, then hot again.
A 79-year-old, delusionaldictator who, on an hourly basis
, doesn't know what he's doingand, to say it bluntly, he
really doesn't give a crap onhow he hurts people.
I've said my piece.
I've asked for your comments.
(11:31):
I hope you respect my requestand a lot of you will actually
reply to me this time.
I thank the handful of you thatdo consistently.
I'm just asking for the otherlisteners to join in.
Here's the inspiring story thatI came across to change our
vibe for today for the better, courtesy of the Good News
(11:54):
Network.
When a Tennessee mother of fivereceived her college degree on
May 9th, she couldn't see herfamily cheering in the audience.
Well, because she's completelyblind.
Even so, as Amanda Jutton, 47,crossed the stage to accept her
degree, magna cum laude, fromTennessee Tech University, she
(12:16):
was more certain than ever abouther path forward.
I'm totally blind, jutton toldFox News Digital in an interview
.
So I've got my guide dog by myside.
The two guys I was sitting bytold me to follow them.
We were a team.
I'm concentrating on shakingall the hands getting across the
stage.
I was thinking this isn't theend.
(12:36):
It's really the beginning ofwhat's next for me.
Juton, who recently became agrandmother, began her college
journey nearly 30 years ago, buthad to postpone her studies
when she had a baby right out ofhigh school and immediately
went to work to provide for hernew family.
She eventually returned tohigher education, but in 2020,
(12:58):
after years of progressivevision loss from a condition
called retinitis pigmentosa, shefound herself in the dark.
Literally.
I was totally blind, with noskills for blindness, juden said
.
Over the years, I've beentaught a lot of skills for using
my remaining vision, but notwhat to do with no vision at all
(13:18):
.
Determined to regain herindependence, she enrolled in an
eight-month program at theColorado Center for the Blind.
I thought I know blind parentsmake their kids lunches.
I know blind parents go to PTAmeetings.
I can do this.
I just need to be around abunch of other blind people, she
(13:39):
recalled.
Blind people are not sitting intheir basements waiting for the
end.
They're out there living theirlives, and I wanted to do that
too.
With their new skills andadaptive techniques and a
renewed sense of confidence, juden enrolled at Tennessee Tech
in the fall of 2022, pursuing aprofessional studies degree
(14:00):
with a concentration inorganizational leadership.
It's been great, juden said.
The instructors were askingwhat are your needs?
How can we make this accessibleto you?
They have been fantastic fordoing that.
I never got pushback.
I didn't get people saying whyare you taking these classes.
Now the newly graduated of Judenis advocating for more
(14:24):
acceptance and understanding ofthe blind.
The blind need a voice.
Student said I have a voice andI love to use it.
I want to help give people theskills to find their voice.
We need more teachers and morepeople in the field who believe
in the full capacity of theblind.
Next, she plans to pursue agraduate degree in blindness
(14:44):
rehabilitation and possibly evengo for her doctorate.
I want to begin offeringservices in assistive technology
, braille and the things I'velearned and I'm doing well at.
Juden said I want to teachblind people.
As a vendor of vocationalrehabilitation, juden has
(15:04):
traveled to Washington DC tolobby for blindness-related
initiatives and to San Franciscoto protest rideshare drivers
who deny service to passengerswith wheelchairs or service
animals.
She also serves on the board ofthe National Federation of the
Blind of Tennessee and is a pastpresident of the Tennessee
Association of Guide Dog Users.
(15:26):
Her guide dog, colonel, isalways by her side.
Juden has this message foranyone facing blindness you
still have the same hopes anddreams.
She said All of those thingsthat you wanted to do before you
were blind.
You still want to do thosethings, so let's find a way to
(15:48):
do that.
She said hey, listeners, that'sa perfect example of
perseverance, though there's noexcuse for any of us to not plow
through, no matter what thecircumstances, no matter how
hard things get.
This is A World Gone Mad.
(16:08):
I'm Jeff Allen Wolfe.
I'll be back again Monday.
I really hope to hear from youthis time.
I could use your energy andinput.
Have a great weekend.
Until then, stay hopeful.
There is chaos in the world, can't you see?
(16:29):
And we need to stand up andpreserve our democracy.
This is a world gone mad.
This is a world
