Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a world gone mad.
This is a world gone mad.
Mad, mad, mad, mad.
It's another day in a worldgone mad.
I'm Jeff Allen Wolf.
I'm back again to give mycommentary on the news.
Thank you for joining me forthis important special episode.

(00:20):
So please pay attention.
I am pissed, I'm angry and I'massuming some of you are too and
I'm going to give you a deepdive in this episode.
So pull out a large glass ofyour favorite drink I don't care
if it's iced tea, scotch on therocks or water and get a big

(00:42):
snack, because this is going tobe detailed.
Let's talk about the so-calledbig, beautiful bill, trump's
signature legislation.
This is the centerpiece of hisdomestic agenda in 2025, and
whether you love the guy, hatethe guy or can't stand politics

(01:04):
in general, this bill is goingto affect your life in one way
or another Period.
Now, at this time, while I'mrecording this episode, the bill
is in the Senate right now witha voterama.
They haven't voted yet.
They may not vote tonight.
Probably, when you get thisepisode tomorrow morning or late

(01:25):
morning, they would havealready voted on it, so the vote
may have happened after Irecord this episode and whether
the vote passes or doesn't pass.
This episode is going to tellyou everything about this bill
that you need to know.
Now, if you think I'm going totrash the Republicans, I will.

(01:46):
At every point I find them tobe wrong.
But let me be clear aboutsomething, listeners If I find
Democrats are wrong, I willshove my foot up their ass.
So far, they'll walk funny forthe rest of their life.
So the bill?
According to the Trumpadministration and House

(02:07):
Republicans, this bill issupposed to lock in the tax cuts
from 2017 and expand them forworking families, give more
take-home pay to hourly workers, lower taxes on tips, overtime
and middle-class families, reinin bloated social programs like
Medicaid and SNAP.

(02:27):
Slash energy regulations.
That's their pitch.
That's the message the MAGAmachine is pushing that this

(02:48):
bill will make America strong, secure and self-reliant again.
But let's be real.
That's not the whole story.
According to Democrats,economists, healthcare groups
and nonpartisan budget experts, this bill permanently cuts taxes
for the rich while temporarilytossing crumbs to the working

(03:11):
class.
Dismantles Medicaid formillions by adding work
requirements and red tape.
Cuts food benefits for the poorand offloads costs onto states.
Rolls back clean energyincentives and kills over
100,000 renewable energy jobs.
Adds between $2 and $3.3trillion to the national debt,

(03:35):
even as Republicans claim tocare about deficits, gives
massive perks to corporationsand wealthy estates, or making
life harder for everydayAmericans.
So who's telling the truth?
That's what we're going tofigure out right now.
No spin, no hype, no partyloyalty.
I don't work for MSNBC or Fox.

(03:58):
I work for you, the listener, who just wants to know what the
hell is in this bill and how itaffects your wallet, your health
care, your job and your future.
I'm going to break down the big, beautiful bill Trump's
signature legislation of 2025point by point.
No talking points, no bullshit, just the raw reality of it.

(04:22):
What's in it, who benefits, whogets hurt, what's fact and
what's fiction, and what itmeans for everyday people like
you.
Okay, here we go.
Here's each section of the bill, starting with tax cuts for
working families.
What the Republicans say.
Trump and GOP leaders claim thebill locks in 2017 tax cuts and

(04:47):
expands them to give moretake-home pay to middle-class
workers and families.
They emphasize lower taxes ontips, overtime and hourly wages.
The reality Most of thepermanent cuts go to
corporations and high-incomeearners.
Middle-class tax relief istemporary and will expire in a
few years unless renewed IRSdata shows the top 1% receive a

(05:13):
far larger dollar benefit thansomeone making $60,000 a year.
Tips and overtime deductionshelp service workers slightly,
but the net gain is offset byrising cost of health care and
public services due to othercuts in the bill Tax cuts for
working families.
Who it helps?

(05:33):
High earners, corporations and,to a small degree, tipped
hours-based workers.
Who it hurts Middle-incomefamilies long-term, unless
temporary cuts are renewed, which is politically uncertain,
all right, going to the partthat says cuts to social
programs, medicaid and SNAP.

(05:54):
What the Republicans are saying?
The bill reigns in bloatedentitlement programs like
Medicaid and food stamps, snap,by adding work requirements and
pushing people towardindependence.
The reality the workrequirements are designed in
ways that disproportionatelyaffect people who already work

(06:15):
but can't prove it, due to gigwork, caregiving or lack of
access to documentation.
Nonpartisan groups estimateover 10 million people could
lose Medicaid coverage, especially in rural and
low-income areas.
Snapped cuts mean fewer grocerybenefits for children, elderly

(06:35):
and disabled individuals, manyof whom already live on the edge
.
Now the cuts to social programs.
Who it helps?
Wealthy donors who want asmaller federal budget and
conservative think tanks pushingfor responsibility.
Who it hurts?
Working poor, elderly, disabledand families who rely on basic

(06:56):
support to survive Energyderegulation and fossil fuel
expansion.
What the Republicans say?
The bill slashes job-killingregulations on oil, gas, coal to
unleash American energy andlower costs at the pump.
The reality, howeverderegulation allows drilling in

(07:17):
more public lands, weakensenvironmental protections.
Clean energy subsidies from theInflation Reduction Act are
rolled back, which analysts saywill eliminate over 100,000
clean energy jobs.
Oil companies benefit massively, but gas prices are still
driven by global markets, not USlegislation alone.
Gas prices are still driven byglobal markets, not US

(07:37):
legislation alone.
So there's energy deregulationand fossil fuel expansion in the
bill.
Who it helps?
Big oil, natural gas lobbyistsand fossil fuel investors.
Who it hurts Renewable energyworkers, climate advocates and
communities facing worseningpollution and health impacts.

(07:58):
And communities facingworsening pollution and health
impacts.
The section that says defenseand border security spending in
the bill.
What the Republicans say isinjecting billions into border
security and national defensewill keep America safe and
regain control of oursovereignty.
The reality funding goesheavily toward border wall

(08:19):
expansion, more ICE agents andmilitary contracts, no serious
investment in immigration reform, legal pathway streamlining or
humanitarian systems.
Defense contractors in borderstate private prisons stand to
make billions.
The defense and border securityspending part who it helps?

(08:40):
Defense industry, bordercontractors, hardline
immigration proponents.
Who it hurts Immigrant families, asylum seekers and US
taxpayers, who see no measurablesecurity improvement.
And the national debt anddeficit part of this bill.
What the Republicans say?

(09:01):
Gop leaders say the bill willpay for itself through growth
and spending discipline.
The reality, listeners.
The Congressional Budget Office, cbo, estimates the bill adds
$2 to $3.3 trillion to thenational debt over 10 years.
There are no meaningful offsets.
Instead, it relies on dynamicscoring, hope-based growth

(09:25):
projections.
Now the same lawmakers decryingthe deficit are passing massive
tax breaks without funding them.
So this national debt anddeficit part of the bill.
Who it helps?
Political donors, corporationsand short-term political talking
points.
Who it hurts Future taxpayers, public infrastructure and

(09:50):
national financial stability.
So what's the bottom line?
Who is telling the truth?
I have an answer for youlisteners.
Both sides are spinning, butwhen you strip away the slogans,
the wealthy and powerfulbenefit most in real dollars
regulatory relief and permanentchanges.

(10:13):
The middle class and workingpoor get some temporary gains
but lose protections, benefitsand long-term stability.
The environment, health caresystem and budget all take hits
that will be felt down the line.
This isn't a beautiful bill formost Americans.
It's a reshuffling of power andmoney, dressed in populist

(10:37):
language but fundamentallystructured to reward the top and
shift the burden downward.
So that's it, jeff, just fivesections in the bill we have to
be aware of Hell.
No, there's way more than fiveparts in this monstrosity of a
bill.
This bill is loaded withstealth changes, ideological

(11:02):
rewrites and corporate favorsthat don't make the front page
but absolutely affect your life.
Mainstream media is only cherrypicking things that suits them
to convey to you, the watcher oftheir news shows.
Let's break out part two of mydeep dive and keep going.

(11:25):
Let me talk to you about thehidden landmines in Trump's big,
beautiful bill Estate taxloopholes and billionaire
windfalls.
This is in the bill.
What the Republicans say.
The bill protects family farmsand small businesses by raising
the estate tax exemption.
The reality the estate taxcurrently applies only to

(11:48):
multi-millionaires.
The estate tax currentlyapplies only to
multi-millionaires.
This bill doubles the exemption, meaning fewer than 0.1% of
estates would ever pay a dime.
At the same time, it opens upnew trust loopholes that let

(12:08):
billionaires shelter wealth fromtaxes indefinitely.
The estate tax loopholes andbillionaire windfalls section of
his bill.
Who it helps?
Billionaire families anddynasties like the Trumps and
Kochs.
Who it hurts Public servicesthat rely on tax revenue and
everyone else left paying thebill.
Another landmine in this billeducation cuts and vouchers.

(12:30):
What the Republicans say.
The bill gives parents freedomof choice in education by
promoting private schoolvouchers and reducing wasteful
federal education spending.
However, the reality funding isclashed for public schools,
especially in low-income areas.
Especially in low-income areas, vouchers shift taxpayer dollars
to private and religiousschools, many of which can

(12:53):
legally discriminate or avoidteaching science-based
curriculum.
There's no new funding forteacher pay, school meals or
mental health services.
It's in the bill the educationcuts and vouchers.
Who it helps?
Private school networks,conservative education groups
and wealthy families.
Who it hurts Public schoolstudents, teachers and working

(13:17):
class communities.
Another section, anotherlandmine in this bill rollbacks
on labor protections.
What the Republicans say aboutthis?
The bill removes red tape tohelp small businesses hire and
grow.
The reality weakens overtimepay rules, making it harder for
salaried workers to qualify forextra pay.

(13:40):
Undermines union protections, allowing employers to delay or
block organizing efforts.
Narrows definitions of employee, making gig workers even more
vulnerable to exploitation.
So there's rollbacks on laborprotections.
Who it helps?
Large corporations, uber-stylegig platforms and anti-union

(14:04):
lobbyists.
Who it hurts Workers trying toearn fair wages, joint unions or
secure, stable employment.
Healthcare deregulation inprivate.
Another landmine the plans.
What the Republicans say aboutthis part of the bill?
The bill empowers choice bypromoting health savings

(14:24):
accounts, hsas and scaled-backinsurance plans.
The reality it expands junkinsurance plans that cost less
upfront to you but offer littleor no coverage when you actually
need.
It, pushes people toward highdeductible plans and HSAs, which
mainly benefit higher earners.

(14:45):
It also undermines keyAffordable Care Act protections,
especially for people withpre-existing conditions.
So this health care deregulationand private plan a big landmine
.
Who it helps?
Insurance companies, privateequity health plans, wealthy
individuals.
Who it hurts?

(15:06):
Lower income families, peoplewith chronic illnesses and
anyone hit by surprise medicalbills.
And another landmine targetedattacks on blue states.
Well, what the Republicans say.
Well, the bill ensures fairnessin tax policy across all states
.
The reality caps state andlocal tax deductions, called

(15:29):
SALT, hitting residents in hightax states like California, new
York, illinois, massachusetts.
Wonder where those are?
What type of voters are there?
Limits, reductions on mortgageinterest and local property
taxes, hurting middle and uppermiddle class homeowners in

(15:50):
Democratic-leaning states.
It's a partisan punch, plainand simple Targeted attacks on
blue states.
Landmine.
Who it helps?
Federal coffers temporarily.
Who it hurts Homeowners andtaxpayers in blue states, many
of whom already pay more to thefederal system than they get

(16:12):
back.
There's more.
We haven't even touched theenvironmental rollbacks in this
big beautiful bill, thesurveillance expansions, the
corporate stock buybackincentives or the attack on
civil rights enforcement buriedin footnotes.
Why I'm pissed and angry whyeveryone should be also is

(16:33):
because of this and much more.
Here's what recent polls sayabout public opinion on Trump's
one big beautiful bill.
Public sentiment overwhelmingopposition.
Fox News reported 59% ofAmericans oppose the bill versus
41% who support it.
Cnn's summary of multiple pollsthe net approval ranges from 19

(16:59):
to 29 points.
That's it Across WashingtonPost, pew Fox, quinnipiac and
Kaiser Foundation surveys.
Kaiser Foundation surveys Inother words, between 60 to 65
percent disapprove of this onebig beautiful bill, versus 35 to

(17:21):
40 percent approval.
The Pew Research Center, june17, said 49 percent oppose, 29
percent support, 21 percent areunsure I don't know what the
hell they're smoking.
Kaiser Family Foundation 64percent view it unfavorably, 35%
favorably.
And the opposition crossesparty lines 85% of Democrats,
71% of independents.
Two-thirds of non-MAGARepublicans oppose this bill.

(17:44):
Support is concentrated amongMAGA Republicans at 72%.
Is concentrated among MAGARepublicans at 72%.
So what do Americans dislikemost about this bill.
Well, the perceived loss ofMedicaid coverage, with 11 to 16
million people projected tolose access.
Large projected increase infederal debt up to $3.3 trillion

(18:10):
over a decade.
Cuts to SNAP and other safetynets, with AP, norc and Politico
noting widespread publicconcern over funding reductions.
So the bottom line Wolfpacklisteners America isn't just
skeptical, it's broadly opposedto this legislation.

(18:31):
Support is narrow and intenselypartisan, while opposition
spans the center-left, withsignificant concern coming from
moderates and non-MAGARepublicans.
The bill's most controversialelements Medicaid snap cuts, the
national debt growingenormously are what fuel this

(18:54):
backlash.
Let's cut the crap, okay.
This bill isn't some patrioticlifeline for working families.
It's a brutal, bloatedcorporate love letter
masquerading as middle-classrelief.
While MAGA Republicans shoutabout freedom and tax cuts,
what's really inside is aticking time bomb for everyday

(19:18):
Americans Gutted Medicaid, slashed food benefits, rollbacks
on clean energy, billionaireestate tax loopholes and
trillions added to the nationaldebt.
And the public sees it.
Poll after poll showsoverwhelming opposition, not
just from Democrats, but fromindependents and moderate

(19:38):
Republicans too.
This isn't leadership.
It's a shameless redistributionof wealth from the bottom up,
coated in red, white andbullshit.
I'll let the other famouspodcasters that you know of and
