SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

This episode opens with the strange tension around the Epstein files. They have finally reached the point the country never thought would come and they are one signature away from the public finally seeing what has been whispered about for years.

The pressure sitting on that desk is almost louder than anything being said on camera.

That pressure spills directly into the Justice Department where silence is becoming its own message. When Washington suddenly agrees on something this explosive, you expect movement.

Instead we get careful statements, strategic pauses, and the kind of legal language that usually means someone is preparing for blowback.

That same uneasy energy is hanging over another part of the system where the indictment against James Comey is showing signs of coming apart. The same institutions being asked to handle the most sensitive material in the country are also showing cracks in how they handle their own cases.

One revelation in court raises a question that nobody expected to confront this week, and the ripple of that moment is felt far beyond the courtroom.

Elsewhere, a public figure steps back from their role at the same time their name appears in newly surfaced Epstein material tied to the files.

I also talk about the moment the president was asked about the past murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump’s response remains one of the coldest public reactions ever given, and the setting and tone reveal even more than the words themselves.

Two of the country’s largest retailers also enter the news. They are reporting problems they usually hide and their comments point to the financial strain everyday Americans are living through right now.

What they admit says a lot about where the economy truly stands.

Trump’s idea of paying people two thousand dollars from tariff revenue makes an appearance again, floating through speeches like a lifeline nobody can actually grab.

The claim sounds bold, but the reality behind it is much thinner than the slogan being sold to voters.

By the end, the bigger picture becomes clear. The justice system is wobbling, political pressure is rising, the economy is flashing warnings, and every story in this episode connects to the same uneasy feeling moving through the country right now.

SPEAKER_00 (00:09):
I'm Jeff Allen Wolf.
Welcome to A World Gone Mad.
It's WTF Wednesday, where I tellyou everything that's going on
and what it means, and I sure ashell don't care who gets upset.
WTF Wednesday, I question whatthe fuck is Donald the
delusional one and his MAGAsupporters doing now?

(00:31):
And more importantly, how is anyof this going to hurt us?
The ones who actually care aboutour country and democracy?
Okay, reluctantly, let's getinto all of this madness.
Here we go.
For the first time in modernpolitical history, Republicans
and Democrats actually agree onsomething.

(00:54):
The Senate voted unanimously, the House voted with only one no
vote.
Almost every elected official inWashington wants the Epstein
files released to the public.
Every page, every email, everyflight log, every name,
everything laid out where thecountry can see it.

(01:15):
Supposedly, we'll get to that ina minute or two.
These files went to DonaldTrump's desk.
He signed it finally tonight.
One signature, that's all ittakes for the country to finally
see what has been whisperedabout for years.
And now all eyes are on theDepartment of Justice and Pam

(01:35):
Bondi.
Will the Justice Departmentfollow the overwhelming will of
Congress and release thesefiles?
Or will Pam Bondi pull theoldest trick in government in
their playbook and say the filescannot be released because this
is an active investigation.
Starting to look like that,Wolfpack listeners.

(01:57):
That phrase is the escape catchfor everyone who wants the truth
buried instead of exposed.
Now, Pam Bondi treats thejustice system like it's the
customer service desk at a stripmall.
If there's ever a moment wherethe country needs fairness or
transparency, she shows up likeI can absolutely make this

(02:21):
worse.
Let me roll up my sleeves, diveface first into the conflict of
interest.
On the other side, you haveSenator Richard Blumenthal
saying the quiet part out loud.
He says he has no trust, noconfidence that this Justice
Department will treat theEpstein files fairly.
None zero.

(02:42):
I agree with him after I hearwhat Pam Bondy said today.
She said new evidence, moreevidence, evidence, additional
evidence.
She said the word evidence somany times.
And you could obviously see thisis bullshit, people.
They're going to cover this up,they're going to stonewall this.
A sitting senator, RichardBlumenfall, basically telling

(03:04):
the American people, I know whatcorruption smells like, and this
whole building smells like a gymbag left in a hot car.
Then Senator Tom Tillis jumpsin, like the one guy who finally
has hit his limit.
He says, release the damn files,no more excuses, no more
political foreplay.
He even says, I do not care howthe sausage is made, which is

(03:27):
hilarious because with Epstein, nobody wants to see the sausage,
or where it was cooked, or whowas standing in the kitchen.
And every time these files getmentioned, another high-profile
figure suddenly remembers theyneed to step away from public
life.
Larry Summers resigns from theOpenAI board, steps back from

(03:48):
public commitments right aftermore of his emails with Epstein
come out.
The timing is always impressive.
Epstein gets referenced, andpeople vanish like witnesses in
a mob movie.
Meanwhile, across the street, another circus act is unfolding.
Former FBI director, JamesComey, is fighting an indictment

(04:10):
that is collapsing because ofsomething a prosecutor should
never say in a courtroom.
If you haven't heard this, payattention.
Interim United States attorneyLindsay Halligan, the
prosecuting attorney in thecase, and she's the lawyer
bringing the charges againstComey, took the stand and

(04:30):
admitted under oath that onlytwo grand jurors reviewed the
final indictment against Comey.
Listen up, two, not 12, not apanel of jurors, not a group,
two, a pair, a duo.
That is not a grand jury, everyone.
That is two people killing timebefore a table opens up at Olive

(04:53):
Garden.
They did not come from JamesComey's mouth.
This did not come from Comey'slawyer.
This came directly from theprosecution against Comey under
oath in front of a federaljudge.
Comey's attorney then simplypointed out the obvious.
If only two grand jurorsreviewed the indictment, then

(05:15):
legally this might not be anindictment at all.
It might be a legal mirage, aghost document, a piece of paper
someone pushed out of a low inkprinter and shoved into a file,
hoping no one checked the math.
Now, further on this, with whatHalligan uh said to the judge,

(05:37):
or what came out in evidence, she had three indictments or
three charges against Comey.
Two of them were dropped, andthe one that was left, she
signed off on and gave it to theclerk to sign off to move the
indictment forward.
That's illegal.
That's incompetence.
And as always, Trump hires thebest people, right?

(05:59):
To drain the swamp.
Let's bring in more corrupt, incompetent idiots to run
things.
My personal opinion is I expectthis indictment against Comey,
which is really not anindictment, to be tossed and the
case dropped.
So here's where things stand.
On one side, you have a JusticeDepartment that may well very

(06:22):
well end up sitting on theEpstein files instead of
releasing them.
No one knows what Pam Bondi willdo now that Donald Trump signed
the order telling to releasethem.
And on the other side, you havea prosecution admitting they may
not even know how to run a realgrand jury.
These are the people we trustwith the most powerful legal

(06:43):
tools in the country.
And while that chaos isunfolding inside the justice
system, another example of thismadness shows up overseas in the
form of presidential moralbankruptcy.
Because Donald Trump is askedabout the murder of Jamal
Khashoggi, that was thejournalist, who was kidnapped,

(07:04):
murdered, and hacked to piecesinside a Saudi consulate.
He was asked by the reporter, what about that?
You're meeting with MBS fromSaudi Arabia to sell them F-35
jets.
What about that murder?
And Trump's response is, andplease, if you haven't heard

(07:25):
this, you have to hear whatcomes out of Donald's mouth.
Donald says to the reporter, you're mentioning somebody that
was extremely controversial, referring to the journalist
Khashoggi.
A lot of people didn't like thatgentleman that you're talking
about.
And whether you liked him ornot, things happen.

(07:45):
Trump says this in the OvalOffice while hosting Saudi Crown
Prince Mohammed bin Salmanduring this pageant-filled
visit.
Things happen.
A journalist is butchered insidean embassy, and Donald Trump's
takeaway from this is thingshappen.

(08:07):
It is the kind of cold shrug youexpect from a mob boss, not the
president of the United States.
It is moral anesthesia.
It is Trump telling the world hefeels nothing.
No surprise.
And of course, Trump insists theSaudi crown prince had nothing
to do with it, even though theCIA basically walked into the

(08:30):
room holding a neon sign thatsaid then, yes, he did.
He ordered the hacking up of thejournalist.
It feels like watching someonedeny they ate the last cookie
while chewing the last bite.
Now, while all this politicalinsanity erupts, we get economic
signals that feel like passiveaggressive warnings from the

(08:54):
universe.
Home Depot says its business isstuck.
Home Depot, in plain language, that means homeowners are not
fixing things, not remodeling, not spending on their houses.
When people stop doing evenbasic home projects, it usually
means they are worried aboutmoney.

(09:15):
And when Home Depot, one of thebiggest home improvement
companies in the country, saysthings are slowing down, that is
a sign that middle class islightening up.
Now Target, the retail store, looks like it might have hit
rock bottom.
That means shoppers are pullingback, people are buying

(09:37):
essentials and skipping extras.
Some of you are probably doingthis.
When a store built on everydaymiddle class spending suddenly
struggles, it tells youconsumers are stressed and
budgets are squeezed.
It is a simple warning flareabout how people are feeling out

(09:58):
there.
And floating all over this, overall of this, is that mythical
$2,000 check Donald keepsteasing like a washed-up
magician, promising one last bigtrick.
Here's why you're probably notgetting that$2,000 check.

(10:20):
People in Washington don't wantto pay for it.
Congress would have to approveit.
They won't.
It's easier to talk about moneythan to actually give it.
It's more of a campaign linethan a real plan.
And the one scary reason youmight get this$2,000 check?
Desperation.

(10:41):
If things get bad enough, or ifthe pressure gets hot enough,
they will throw money likeconfetti to distract from
whatever disaster, in this casethe Comey files, or rather I'm
sorry, the Epstein files, isunfolding behind the curtain.
Look over here at this check isthe political version of teasing
a puppy with a ball.

(11:02):
So here we are.
A Justice Department nobodytrusts, a prosecution that
admitted its own indictmentmight be legally imaginary, a
president waving away a brutalstate-ordered murder with things
happen, an economy sending outweird warning flares, and a

(11:23):
fantasy check dangling like baiton a hook.
With the Epstein files going tobe released one way or the
other, if Pam Bondi stalls, which is going to happen,
people, watch the rest of thisweek.
This is garbage.
It'll come out though.
The Republicans have defiedDonald Trump.

(11:45):
Supposedly, that unanimous voteI say is garbage.
I think they did that knowingthat the files are going to be
stalled.
It's going to go to court.
They have 30 days to releasethese files.
They're going to fight it, andthey're going to ignore the
judge and the ruling of 30 days, and this is going to be a
battle.

(12:06):
Think about it.
If Donald Trump was innocent, why wouldn't you release the
files?
Republicans unanimously said it,one holdout in the House
unanimously said release thefiles.
So if Trump's innocent, tomorrowthey'll release the files.
They won't, is my prediction, which tells me there's a lot of
crap in those files that Donalddoesn't want you to see.

(12:27):
And Pam Bondy's going to storestall.
The Democrats showed they havesome cloud over the Republican
majority.
Not really, because I thinkthere's a game going on behind
the scenes.
I think there's going to beheavy redaction.
I think this is a big cover-up.
It's going to make the RichardNixon Watergate cover-up look

(12:48):
like a bunch of pussies doingit.
Now, this quite possibly couldbe the end of Donald Trump's
reign as we know it.
If the files come out, he'sdone.
But I don't think the files aregoing to come out the rest of
this week.
If it feels like the world hasgone mad because it has.
You're not crazy.

(13:08):
You're paying attention.
None of this is normal.
But here we are standing in it,living in it, watching it spill
into our laps like boiling soup.
Welcome to America.
And welcome to another episodeof WTF What the Fuck Wednesday.
Crazy.

(13:30):
And it's just going to getworse.
I'm telling you, Thursday andFriday, watch what happens to
the files.
Focus on Pam Bondi.
The cover-up, the lies, thewhole game is starting the
minute Donald Trump signed thoseorders, and Pam Bondi says,
Well, there's an investigation.

(13:50):
