Karen oversees the team responsible for standards of care, service and safety within Ryman's villages and has been recently working on a new model of care for people with dementia, which brings the strengths and wishes of the individual to the forefront of care planning.
We cover a lot of topics in this conversation, including the difference between the quality of care and quality of life. Some of the ideas that underpin the new model of dementia care, and some new innovations that are being developed to help give people the edge on aging.
