SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
And the truth about relationships, if you're not a
team player and like to be partof a team, a unit, a
collaborative structure, ifyou're not one to like to be
like that, being in arelationship probably is not the
best idea for you.

(00:21):
Because relationships in generalare built off collaboration.
They're built off of teamwork.
They're built off of a sense ofus, a sense of we, right?
So if you don't have that senseof we, or if you struggle with
that sense of we, it's importantfor you to work that part out
before you try to combine yourlife with someone else.

(00:44):
Because trying to work on thatwhile you're in the relationship
with that person can befrustrating to the other person.
It It can also be frustrating toyou because sometimes that
growth, growth in general, ittakes time.
Like growth in general, it takesa lot of patience.
It takes a lot of consistencyand you want to be fair to

(01:05):
yourself and you also want to befair to the other person too.
Because if the other person isabout team and you're kind of
struggling with team, then theirrelationship unit is not
operating efficiently.
It's not working efficiently.
So that means that you have tobe a little bit more consistent

(01:26):
as a person that may bestruggling with the team aspect
to get on board a little bitquicker.
And again, rushing that process, rushing that growth could be a
struggle for you, right?
So in the truth aboutrelationships, teamwork, right?
team effort a team mindset notonly helps that relationship

(01:49):
grow it helps you with conflictresolution it helps you with
that ability to want tocompromise with that other
person it helps you with makesure it helps you be very
transparent and also trusting ofthat other person as well
because as a team as acollaborative unit you have to
trust the person that you withlike you have to trust the

(02:11):
person that's next to you inorder to kind of get particular
things done in thatrelationship.
And without that team mindset, that team aspect, and that
working together with that otherperson, you could be struggling
or you could struggle in thatparticular situation with that
person.
So make sure, make sure thatwhenever you talk about getting

(02:34):
into a relationship with aperson or even in a relationship
with that person currently, makesure that your mind focus is
team.
And that's not necessarily meanforgetting about yourself, not
taking care of yourself, becausedefinitely you should definitely
take care of yourself becausethat's job number one, because
you can't help anybody else ifyou're not helping yourself, if

(02:55):
you're not prioritizingyourself, if you're not, you
know, you're not Doing thethings that's necessary to help
yourself, right?
And all of these things that I'mtalking about comes to
priorities, right?
Because you can prioritize alldifferent things in your life,
in your day to make sure thatyou're able to meet certain
expectations, certainmilestones.

(03:17):
So prioritizing yourself first.
And then also when it comes toyour team, your relationship,
being team minded to make surethat you are making an allotment
of time to take care of yourpriorities with your partner,
take care of your priorities inyour relationship so that you

(03:38):
have a fully functioningrelationship and also a fully
functioning life too.

Model Wars

Model Wars

On the surface, the modeling industry in the 80s was about parties and pretty clothes, but underneath the flash, there were drugs, sex, and violence. And Paul Fisher, a former straight-A student from the San Fernando Valley, rose to prominence amidst the turmoil. After a chance encounter with an alleged mobster, Paul suddenly found himself with a million dollars in funding and the chance to start a modeling agency in New York City. The city was then embroiled in a “model war” between industry titans Eileen Ford and John Casablancas, and Paul tried to make his mark. But even as Paul thrived in the party-heavy culture of the time, burning cash like a furnace, he came face to face with the darkest forces in the industry. As his shady backers put the screws to him, Paul faced down deadly consequences, trying to make a star while saving his soul.
