We chat with Dave Martin about Outcome Based Assessment and Teaching & Learning Mathematics in High School. Dave shares with us pieces of his journey on changing his assessment & instruction practices as a high school math teacher and how this impacted him & his students.
Dave Martin has a Master of Mathematics Degree in Education, has been teaching for 16 years, during which time, he was nominated for Teacher of Excellence in Alberta, has spoken across North America, and has successfully removed most grades in most of his high school math courses. Dave has taught grades 6-12, was one of the division's Math/Science Lead teachers, a Vice Principal of two schools, and currently is a Post Secondary Instructor with Red Deer Polytechnic in the Faculty of Education
