Nintendo and Sony Pictures have officially announced that the live-action Legend of Zelda movie will be released on March 26, 2027. The film, a collaboration where Nintendo holds a majority financial stake, will be globally distributed by Sony. Wes Ball, known for the Maze Runner trilogy, will direct, aiming for a "live-action Miyazaki" feel, and Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad are producing.
