Join us as we revisit our conversation with Melodie Chandler, founder of Journey of a Joyful Life in Texas. Melodie's organization advocates for orphaned children with special needs, working to normalize special needs adoption and encourage families to embrace the joys and rewards of raising a child with unique abilities.

Melodie's story is truly inspiring. A Montgomery County native and Sam Houston State University graduate, she taught music before moving to China, where she served in and eventually directed a foster home for children withspecial needs. During her eight years in China, Melodie fostered over 100 children, many of whom found forever homes in the US. She'll share her experiences in China and the US, and discuss the ongoing work of the JourneySchool for the Uniquely Gifted and Talented, continuing the vital work begun overseas.
